Our review is written by Steven (house owner, host + my father) + also by Kim (the daughter). Written by Kim: This was our first house sit since the passing of my mother in late Dec 2023. I was helping my father Steven (whose profile it is) manage all the emails + try + find a great house sitter + came along Gretchen’s profile! Not only is she a cool cat + someone you might want to get to know, I found myself quickly talking to her. I shortly found out her profile is just a glimpse of how interesting she is but talking to her was so much better! She is a world traveler with many experiences + stories to share. We quickly became conversationalists who could talk forever + probably will continue to do so! Thank you TH! She is easy to communicate with + continued the consistent communication all along our journey of having her as our *first* guest after my mom’s passing. It was clearly a time filled with anxiety + sensitivity so there were some sensitive topics to go over + Gretchen got it right away. A few of our rooms in the house were off-limits (as they housed my mom’s things) but we reassured her the house has ample space for her to enjoy + there are many lovely outdoor spaces to boot! When she arrived she felt she was in paradise + really relished in the outdoor beauty + the indoor coziness. We were happy to share it with someone who appreciated it so much! She also was very understanding with the fact that both my dad + I would both be involved as we both handled different parts of the stay. Me, writing + setting up the Welcome Guide + would go over the situation but then upon her arrival my dad would take over + answer any questions mostly during her sit. The good part of having 2 people is she had accessibility to us both, in the case she needed it + sometimes it came up! She juggled all the communication oh so well. My mom usually handled most of the logistics so this being our first time we were nervous something would come up we might not know but it didn’t! It was new territory for us + we wanted to make sure she had everything. Gretchen handled it all with such ease, seamlessly, really respecting our wishes/desires + taking all the information into her hands + making it seem easy on her end to do so. She was easy to coordinate schedules with! There was a gap in her 1st + 2nd sit but everything went seamlessly even when my flight had a day long delay. She was able to coordinate schedules with me arriving in between, then leaving, my dad arriving different days + us extending the trip too. It all worked out! We were all a good team! She absolutely loved our older cat, Benny + he fast + furiously fell in love with her oh so easily. When I saw him, he looked oh so loved + after saying hi to me went over to ‘her’ bed + slept there waiting for her to come back. She sent many pictures, videos + even cute creations + toys she made for our Benny + it was obvious the house + our Benny were her first priority. She even asked us if she could help prune our flowers/shrubs, something my mom used to do + honestly it was an honor to hear her ask that. She was welcome to set up her art studio + play away. She was very communicative when our house cleaner, landscape gardener + house manager showered up for different reasons. When I arrived back for a short stint before she came back the 2nd time our mail was so well organized it was an assembly line! She also offered to take down our xmas tree (as we were a bit behind in taking down our xmas decorations) + she was sensitive to the fact that we were adjusting to a new normal. Thank you so much Gretchen! You made our first sit in a long time so seamless + such a relief that we are ready now to host again. We only wish we could have more Gretchen’s! (She’s also a super talented artist!) Written by Steven: Overall, Gretchen has been an absolute treasure. She has fulfilled our goals for a house sitter perfectly - she took good care of the house, great care of our treasured pet, Mr. Benny + took care of the grounds such as watering a few plants + trees. She excelled in all the above + is welcome back anytime I will be out of town in the future.
Hannah and Joseph housesat our three kitties for a week and a half while we were traveling for the holidays. They were very communicative and conscientious. We received daily updated on our cats with cute and funny pictures. When they noticed our 17yo cat, Amber, wasn’t eating very much, they let us know and we were able to resolve the problem quickly. They were also very resourceful and understanding when we ran out of some cat supplies. Hannah and Joseph took great care of the house. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived back, and we had a short time to get to know them on our arrival. We would be fortunate to find more house sitters like them, and would of course love to have them back in the future! We wish Hannah and Joseph luck in their travels!
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Sharon and Milton are two of the nicest people I've met in my life. This is my first time having a sitter fly in from out of state and it was so simple, stress-free, and didn't affect any part of me getting ready for my trip, leaving for my trip or returning from my trip. Sharon was very communicative before, during and after I returned. It just couldn't have been more wonderful! If you're considering applicants stop looking and choose Sharon and Milton. They are just delightfully wonderful wonderful people!! They go above and beyond just housesitting and pet sitting! Tidy, clean, respectful down to earth and the most kind and loving people. I do believe Milton really is a cat whisper!! They slept with my sweet babies, and even followed silly grooming instruction on one of my cats. Would have them sit for me absolutely anytime.
Amanda is truly our trusted sitter "find"! She comes back regularly, so much so that our kitties think she is their secondary owner! Always reliable, clean, responsible and most of all loves our cats as much as we do! Good communicator, self reliant - all in all a perfect "10"!
Summer was a very top-quality pet sitter and house sitter. She not only took excellent care of all four pets (three cats and a dog) but even achieved a very close bond with one of the cats. She went over and above the call of duty with our dog, who developed a serious skin condition while we were gone. We're so grateful that Summer was able to identify there was a problem, took the dog to the vet several times, and ended up having to apply topical medication and give pills and even keep the dog dressed in a t-shirt, which she did flawlessly. She communicated with us frequently, sending photos and updates, and the house was spotless when we returned, even cleaner than when we had left. She did an amazing job, knew how to handle any situation, always had a very upbeat and positive attitude, and we really enjoyed getting to know her right before we left and right after we returned. We would very very highly recommend Summer in all respects!
Tracy was an ideal pet sitter when we left for 12 days. She was communicative, friendly, and most importantly took perfect care of our two cats and our house. I would highly recommend her for any sit!
Karen was able to step in a sit for me on short notice after another sitter canceled. She was very thorough and communicative and I felt I had left my apartment and cats in good hands with her. I came home to a clean apartment and happy cats. I definitely recommend Karen as a sitter.
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Steven was a great sitter for our black lab Souris and cat Pinot. They were well looked after and really liked Steven. Our house was in good order when we got back and Steven was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the airport. He was very flexible, arriving day early so we could show him around.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $22/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
So thankful we found Laura! We needed to board my mother in law’s dog and 3 birds for 6 weeks while she recovered from surgery. Molly loved the huge area she could roam around on every day. She also came out of her shell and began to socialize a bit under Laura’s direction. Laura understands dogs and their behaviors. Molly needed that pack leader more than we realized. We pick Molly up at the end of the week and a part of me wishes we didn’t have to. 🫤 Huge thank you to Laura and her family (especially Pedro!) for taking such wonderful care of Molly and the birds!! We will definitely be bringing her back for day visits!
I was happy to find someone with pugs and pug experience, amongst other breeds. My dog was happy there and Laura shared pictures and videos daily. Nice to know he was being cared for in a home rather than a kennel.
Laura and her family -canine and human-are so wonderful!! They embrace the craziness that comes with my two young-but large-boys! I highly recommend Dog Star Lodge and have and will continue to bring my furry kids there.
Laura and her family are incredible! We’ve been taking our dogs to them for the past year and we have a few reasons why we keep going back: 1) they don’t crate or kennel your dogs (unless requested) - the dogs are free to roam around their house and their big yard, and they’re allowed on their couches and beds 2) they keep us updated with pictures and videos of our pups multiple times a day, which we really appreciate! 3) Laura is great with senior dogs as well, so you can rest assured that they’re safe in her care. All in all, you can just tell how much they care about the dogs that stay with them. I can’t recommend them enough!
The first time we boarded our dog with Laura was a great experience. Laura treated our dog as one of her own. When it came time pick up our dog, she had gone from a nervous newcomer to a happy pup. Really happy pup!! Now when we arrive to board our dog, she can't wait to get out of the car and run straight to Laura. Thank you Laura for taking such good care our pup!!!!
Laura is great with our dogs! The dogs are free to roam around the house and the big fenced yard. We always get lots of pictures. It always feels like when we go on vacation, the dogs get to go on their own little vacation to Laura's fun place.
They were amazing with my dog, Nelly, and it’s so cute when we get closer on days that we go, and Nelly is so excited to be going there. I used to hate leaving my dog when I had to go out of town, but now my dog is so excited. I’m almost jealous. But it really does feel wonderful to leave your dog with her loved so much. And the constant pictures that they send all day long are so cute.
My dogs Baxtor and Emilio needed last minute boarding for a month while I was out of town and Dog Star Lodge was quick to accommodate my pups! The boys loved their stay in the house, but the best part was the nice and open fenced yard. Plus, it was fun getting photo updates of their stay! They really have a heart for animals. Totally using them again for my future trips.
If you love your dog this is the place! They will treat your dog like one of the family! We live in Seattle and we never leave our good girl anywhere else. The commute is more than worth it for the quality of care. They will love your dog!
My dog Ollie stayed here with Laura and her family and had the most wonderful time. The pets here are treated with love and patience and there is a huge yard for them to run and play in. Definitely recommend highly!
Love Myownly Boarding Kennel and cannot rave about their business more! We are recent new customers and have a very loving but reactive Great Dane. We were very nervous about trying any boarding facility because we worry more for others and their dogs vs our big scared boy. Their staff and facility were knowledgeable, kind, professional, clean…. Yes clean, and took real time with us to talk through their facility, staff, and how their entire process works. Their owner took over an hour to meet with us handling our Dane so our dog felt comfortable and the owner could assess his behavior for the safety of our dog, his staff, and others dogs. I have never seen my dog melt like butter, until he met with their owner. They handled our anxieties with knowledge, empathy, and a dedication that cannot be taught. Their prices were very inexpensive compared to other facilities that we looked into and allowed our dog a chance to have a good experience and not a traumatic one. We will now have a freedom we never have and that is worth every penny.
I highly recommend Myownly Boarding Kennel. The owner, Cathi, took time out of her busy schedule to do a tutorial groom on my 7-month-old Giant Schnauzer puppy. My goal is to be able to groom my dog at home and it was very helpful to get advice and tips from someone with several decades of experience. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. The facility was clean and professional. My puppy was not an easy dog to groom but Cathi handled him perfectly and he eventually settled into the groom. I know what I need to work on with him to improve his grooming tolerance and to develop my own grooming ability thanks to her invaluable insight. I can't thank everyone at Myownly enough, their services and staff are excellent.
We've been taking our dog to Myownly for several years now - every trip we take. It was clear from the very first that they know dogs *very* well, and care for them very well. While she has been very happy to see me when I pick her up, she has never once seemed "desperate" to get home...only excited. And each time I bring her in for a stay, she goes willingly to her run. I highly recommend Myownly.
We have been going to Myownly for 7 years with our dog Zali. They have always been fantastic and done an amazing job with her! We would recommend them to everyone!
Myownly has been the best boarder we’ve found, taking close care of the dogs staying there. They are a friendly, small local business. We can tell the difference when our pup is excited when we arrive, and not too excited to leave. We’ve also seen fewer incidents with kennel illness at Myownly than at other boarding places.
I have a 12 year old dog with a bite history and who is extremely shy to warm up to new people. I have tried having people stay in my home, having her stay in other people's homes, staying with friends, you name it. I have never had so much peace of mind as when she's at Myownly. She isn't jumping for joy when I drop her off, but she returns to me happy and well taken care of. It is clear everyone there understands dogs (and their owners). So happy I found this place.
If we could give 10 stars, we would. It’s obvious that the Myownly truly cares about animals, as they always take such great care of our pups. We recently lost out Labrador Retriever, Bolt, and they all signed a beautiful card with their condolences. This is the type of business that is hard to come by these days. We’ve never had a single issue since we started visiting. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the folks at Myownly and how grateful we are to have found them. 🐾
We discovered this gem last year when planning for upcoming trips. The staff are very communicative and can tell they love animals. Having had a bad experience elsewhere, it gives us such peace of mind knowing our dog is in great hands while away.
A truly magical and amazing boarding facility! They really "get" dogs and are willing to work with them as individuals and base their care on what the dog wants and needs. We have two dogs, One that is anxious and one that shows some fear aggression, and they understand that it's the situation the dogs are in and not the dogs. Wonderful staff, wonderful facility and wonderful experience. Highly highly recommend.
Myownly took wonderful care of our sweet pup over the weekend. She was happy, healthy and clean when we got her back (we paid for a bath). Staff is very friendly and helpful! We will definitely continue to use Myownly for any future boarding!
Trustworthy! My girls have only stayed with Mystic Mountain a couple of times but both times have been a week or more. I find owner and staff to be extremely trustworthy. They do exactly what they say and then treat my dogs very well. I have two Weimaraner‘s, and I think they can be finicky at times. They send emails to keep me updated on what the girls are doing and how they’re eating. We appreciate knowing the girls are in good hands while we are away. Jennifer
Mystic Mountain is a beautiful location with a great vibe. Our dog has spent 3 or 4 weeks there already and he always seems to be playing hard with a smile on his face. It's great getting photos from them during the stay. Our dog is about as high energy as one can get and gets super excited when visiting places or seeing people he knows and they seem to have come to know him for his good nature even though he can be really intense at times. We'll keep going back even though it's a long drive for us.
Our two border collies adore this place. It's definitely for the dogs, not to please us people, and that is exactly what I want. They work tirelessly to make sure your pets play with other pets they're most comfortable with, get plenty of attention and exercise, and handle your schedule and food with ease. Just the best for active, outdoor friendly, dogs! The photos they send tell you more than enough!
We have been taking our dogs to Cindy at Mystic Mountain for over 10 years. She and her staff are fabulous. We have never had an issue with the care of our dogs while they are with Cindy. She sends pictures of the dogs during their stays which are fun to get and reassuring while away on vacation. When socializing the dogs in the large play area, she groups the dogs looking at temperaments, size and other things to reduce incidents while outside. She even does that in the areas where the dogs sleep. We started taking our first dog, Abby, to Mystic Mountain from Sammamish at least 10+ years ago. After Abby was diagnosed with cancer Cindy was there to watch her while we had to be away. After losing Abby she watched Pepper for years and then even while Pepper was on numerous medications for kidney disease. In 2016 we had two 5 month old puppies, Libby and Lacey, and we left them at Mystic Mountain for two weeks. The pups did great and were socialized with many dogs while we were gone. This last August we moved to Colorado and never questioned where we would board Libby and Lacey during our last vacation. In March we drove back to Washington to leave Libby and Lacey with Cindy for 6 weeks as we traveled out of the country. We never worried about them because Cindy has always treated our dogs as her own. I highly recommend Mystic Mountain!!!! Lynn (sad to be so far from Mystic)
I'm so grateful to Cindy, Rebecca, Jennie and Brad for the diligent care of my 3 little dogs. I wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else and plan to be a client for as long as I'm a dog mama. Mystic's reliable and trustworthy care is SO worth the drive out to Monroe. Having consistent long-term staff in Rebecca and Jennie (both of whom are clearly knowledgable about pet care) is huge--both of them display confidence that they are experienced and know how to manage pets. The owners Cindy and Brad live on site with their own dogs and other animals, so any concerns about your pets being completely alone with no one nearby are a non-issue. Love the updates with pictures I receive during their stays, and the fact that their raw and cooked diets can happily be accommodated. This is NOT a boarding facility in an institutional type of environment, but instead a ranch/farm like setting. Mystic's website has a wealth of information about their protocols and policies, which I also appreciate. LOVE that a place like this exists as a more holistic alternative to dog boarding.
Spectacular place for your fur baby to vacation while you vacation. If your tired of your pet being cramped in a tiny cage then look no further. This place has ample room for your pet to stretch out. My kitty was so happy she did not even want to leave. She was enjoying the chickens and meditation music. This place was designed with your pet in mind. It is so reassuring to have a place my cat loves. She came back happy and rested not scraggly and miserable. We love this place and I am so appreciative of the owner keeping me posted on my senior kitty.
We have been boarding my parent's dog Milly at Mystic Mountain Pet Retreat for the past 7 or 8 years. Milly was supposed to come stay with me when my parents traveled, but Milly and my dog Gussy aren't too fond of each other. Milly has gotten excellent and loving care from Cindy and her staff! I needed to board my dogs for the first time ever. I have three spoiled senior dogs. Mystic Mountain is the ONLY place I would board them! All three were relaxed and happy when I picked them up. No sign of unhappiness or stress. Five stars for Mystic Mountain Pet Retreat!
I’ve been using Mystic Mountain for years to board my lab mix dogs when I head out of town. Cindy and crew take great care of the dogs. The dogs constantly get cycled from their rooms into the outdoor pen. I pickup my pups happy and well exercises.
We love Mystic Mountain Pet Retreat! We've been taking our dogs and cats for 6 years. It's really nice to able to take all our pets to one location. Our dogs love being at camp and sleep for 3 days after we return! Cindy and her team are super nice and caring. We even get emails with photos while we're away on vacation!
Mystic Mountain is the best place we've ever boarded our dogs. Cindy is an animal person - she loves them, respects them, and she is attuned to them. We have four of our own dogs and we've been bringing them to Mystic Mountain for a few years now. One of our dogs is not only blind, but epileptic and wears diapers and Cindy is great with him (and the rest) and unlike all of the other places we've tried, Cindy does not charge extra to medicate or exercise. The suites the dogs stay in are roomy and cozy. The play area is a large outdoor area in the foothills of Monroe. We live in Sammamish and it takes us about 45 minutes to get there, but the drive is well worth it. We have peace of mind, our dogs are not anxious to go and when we pick them up they're happy to see us and happy to have stay in such a warm and loving environment.
Woods Creek Kennels is fantastic! My 10-month old puppy stayed with them for nearly 2 weeks while I was travelling, and we got almost daily photo or video updates of her, and the team was always happy to respond to questions via text. My little girl had a great time and came home with a new spring in her step. Great boarding facility!
I don't leave my little man behind often; he was a quarantine puppy so we both have anxiety about being separated. I felt SO GOOD about boarding him here though! We were encouraged to bring him by to meat the staff and explore the property before his stay so he could make friends and familiarize himself with the play yards; they made sure to check over him and the things I brought with him to make sure he was in good shape and would be comfortable during his stay; and I even got to spy on him while we were gone through their Instagram page!!! I'm glad I brought lots of treats for him because the staff was OBVIOUSLY keen to win him over and keep him happy, and it worked! Apparently he even got to make some little doggy friends, which makes it feel a bit like I sent him to summer camp 🤣 It was hard on me to go anywhere without my sweet baby man, but at least I knew he was in the best possible hands, and that made it all so much easier! Thanks, Motley Zoo!!!
Great kennel. We have used them several times already and all of the staff are great. My pup always comes home happy. I feel safe leaving him there for extended time. At check in they away go over all of the needs each time. Never had a single issue.
This was our 1st time boarding our 3 dogs and I am so glad we did at Woods Creek Kennels! Both Jodi and Kelly were great and took the best care of our fur babies! All 3 of them had a blast. I could not be more pleased and am so happy we found a place that we trust to care for our fur babies. We will be back and I have already referred friends to board here too. Thank you! King, Hawk and Belle had a great vacation with you and are looking forward to their next vacation:)
Our dog Eva loved her experience boarding with MZ Woods Creek. At first she was nervous but she warmed up pretty quick and made friends with other dogs that were being boarded in the same facility. Getting to follow their bedtime routine and see photos of Eva through Instagram while we were apart was reassuring and staff was very polite and attentive to our needs. We paid extra for a bath and a nail trim and they told us our Eva behaved very well for both. Eva can be an anxious dog but you can tell she trusted them very much because she was well behaved. Thanks so much to your team!
Our dog might have been a little bit disappointed to come home - LOL! All the staff is super nice, the facility is clean and well supervised, it's not over-crowded, and the photo posts on Instagram were delightful (even the ones that weren't of our boy!). This was our dog's first time at "camp" and the staff was really good about helping him make friends. A very good experience and we'll be back for sure!
The health of your dog and the kennel as a whole is primary. Taz stayed with them last week, and I did the required fecal float (needed within 4months of stay). But of course in the chaos of planning our trip, I forgot. I got the test literally on the way to Woods Creek. The results came the next day, he was positive for a tapeworm. So they picked up his medication, and gave it to him all week, and instead of the play yard, took Taz on a walk so he wasn’t mingling. They care!! I love the tuck in videos and daily pictures. And appreciate that they don’t charge for every kindness, other kennels charge for a tuck in treat, and there is no video. They charge for fun time in the yard. It’s included here. They are kind, love your pet, they have a TV , and since my TV at home is on 24/7, I know Taz feels more at home. If you are looking for a safe loving place for you dog while you are away, one that isn’t all about the business, but rather the best for your dog, this is it!!
My two pups did a board and train and we had an incredible experience. There were lots of updates from the team and they learned a lot while they were there. The last kennel they stayed at left me with a bad taste in my mouth, so I am very happy to have found Woods Creek!
Our 9 year old German Shepherd mix stayed at Motley Zoo for an entire month. They took such good care of her! We enjoyed watching her on Instagram stories every day while we were away from home. We're grateful for the love and care that they provided for our high energy dog. Thank you to the Motley Zoo crew!!
I cannot say enough good things about MZ Woods Creek Kennels. Great facilities and their employees are a class act! We boarded our 2 dogs for the very first time with them a few weeks ago, and I could not have been more impressed on how they cared for them, especially for my 13yo senior dog who takes daily medication for Addison's. My dog refused to eat his kibble the entire time he was there, and the staff were so sweet in offering to make him boiled chicken and rice so he can have something in his stomach. I was so stressed that my dog wasn't eating but they assured me that he was in good hands - AND INDEED HE WAS! They communicated with me daily and provided updates on how the pups are doing. From kennel tour, to booking, to check-out, everyone that I encountered and talked to were so understanding and patient with me. I highly recommend MZ Woods Creek Kennels to anyone!
These wonderful humans take care of our dog Charlie now that I have returned to office (RTO). It’s such peace of mind and he comes home so cheerful! Today we tried the grooming service and he’s looking dapper as ever. We’ve used TAILored Pets for years - it’s great to see them expand and offer the same level of care and professionalism! They’re exceptional people and LOVE dogs - check out what they’ve got going on….especially if you’re returning to office and looking for support. They’ve got your back at the Four Legged Fun Zone!
Ashley did an absolutely amazing job! My 13yr old man is not easy to handle he takes special attention and care. He’s really sweet but he’s not great at standing and can be quite a handful when he feels like it but she takes such great care of him. And to top it all off he comes out looking and smelling wonderful. I’ve been going to Ashley for almost a decade now and I’ve continued to follow her to every location she’s groomed at. A good groomer is hard to find and an amazing groomer is 1 in a million. And Ashley is an amazing passionate groomer we’re so thankful to have her around.
My golden retriever has been going to Four-Legged Fun Zone since September, and she LOVES it! When she arrives, she wants to gallop to the back to join her furry friends. She comes home happy and tired every day, which tells me she's had a blast. The outdoor space is huge, with tons of agility equipment. She loves playing with her furry friends both inside and out. The staff is amazing too – so friendly and caring. I highly recommend Four-Legged Fun Zone to any dog owner looking for a top-notch daycare!
I am so happy with the grooming service today! The staff is friendly, professional, and really care about peoples pets! My dog looks amazing after grooming—clean, trimmed, and smelling great! Ashley took extra care to make sure my dog was comfortable, and I could tell she truly loves animals. The shop is clean and welcoming, which makes me feel good about leaving my dog there. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!
I am so grateful and appreciative of the fabulous care Ashley provided my 3 cats while I was out of town. They provided very detailed notes, which is a great comfort to a cat mom. One of my cats, that very rarely makes an appearance for anyone, warmed up to Ashley! Amazing! If my cats love a sitter, I know they're happy and safe. I highly recommend Ashley and will always request them as my pet sitter.
I have recently became acquainted with our new groomer on Saturday afternoon, I wasn't sure as you never know with a new groomer how your hairy baby is gonna turn out. We were given a quick tour of their facility and was offered to have hot chocolate and make my girl, a dog cookie using the decorations they had to choose from. Then only an hour after they took her back they were already done and she looked so adorable and so happy!! Then to top it off we got a free picture of me and my baby girl a free picture!! It was a fun environment, and all the personal were very happy, friendly people, genuinely. It was nice to bring my pup in somewhere where people are so personable and happy I would totally recommend these guys to anyone who is or isn't looking for a new groomer, because once you walk in the door and are greeted with a smiling face you'll be sold Thanks again guys, I'm really happy I chose to change from our previous, blah, and impersonable, overly crowded, scrunched for time, staff, that never made me feel appreciated for my business or even greet me or walk me to the front door like i was here. I'm very pleased all the way around Good job guy's
We enjoy taking our dog Mitch here for daycare and meet ups. The attention she receives is evident throughout the process, from first signing up to the end of day report card we get after picking up. Mitch has a great time and we feel good knowing she's having fun while we're at work. Convenient pick up and drop off times and location as well.
Tailored Pet Service saved me both before and during my trip when I couldn’t find a place for my elderly small/medium service dog that doesn’t like being in a “free roam group setting.” No place would accommodate her being in a room most of the day as she would THRIVE IN. Or, timing was too close to when I needed to leave. I finally found TAILORED PET SERVICES!! They were quick to reply and gave a detailed and complete estimate/bill. The deposit was reasonable and the rates were beyond competitive. I loved how my girl dog could either be seen at home or be at someone’s home alone or with another dog or two. She has all her vaccinations as required and I got the stool test too as needed. She accommodated me so well and we were able to get my girl in. I met Antigone and her husband and I immediately knew my girl was in good, no, GREAT hands. It was originally for about four days to be kept but an emergency happened medically during the trip and we needed her kept longer and we were accommodated so kindly and they cared so much for me and for my girl. I got photos and updates daily. The photos were better than ones I could take! She looked so so happy! They kept her many many extra days and didn’t charge extra and now I have a forever place for my girl. And, since she has been with them, my girl has become more cuddly and allows us to hold her in our laps more. She even fell asleep in my dads arms the other day. She has never done that due to prior owners to me being abusive. This makes my heart sing knowing she was so, so loved. You won’t regret trusting your loved ones with Tailored Pet Services. Your furry friend will be safe, loved, communication is top notch, and the prices are beyond competitive. I trust them 110% and I love my girl as she’s also my service dog she’s my entire world. I trust her with my parents and boyfriend only after a YEAR. so that’s huge! Thank you Antigone, Kay, and all there that helped my Kapu girl and me during a rough medical time and keeping her safe and sound and happy!
Four-Legged Fun Zone made training my new puppy, Sunny, a breeze! With Lise’s help, we’ve mastered sit, stay, & lay down. While continuously working on not jumping up. I’m very grateful for the training and time Lise has put into my dog. My dog is a Pitbull/Chihuahua so she’s needed extra help, and Lise has always been there to support us! I highly recommend training with Four-Legged Fun Zone .
We've been a customer of TAILored Pet Services for some time, and have had several of their dog walkers. They have all been great. Also, everyone in the business has outstanding communication, from the daily walk reports to working with office staff. I feel like they know our family and care about our dogs. We would leave a 6-star review if we could.
We love Camp Bow Wow in Monroe. The staff is so friendly. They will treat your dogs like they are their own. Our dogs get so excited whenever we pull into the parking lot. There grooming and nail trimming services are great too.
Love that the staff here seem so knowledgeable in dog behavior and body language, they went out of our way to make sure out 2 under-socialized Parson Russell Terrier siblings were as comfortable as they could be being around a group of dogs for the first time. The facility is very clean and safe and it gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing that our dogs are safe while here and we don't have to worry about them getting into potential hazards that can be found outside such as toxic plants and mushrooms because the whole place is entirely indoors. Strongly recommend Camp Bow Wow!!
I will only take my pups to camp bow wow now. We have tried many kennels in the area and all have been great but camp bow wow goes above and beyond. You can tell they really care for your pets. Our corgi developed an eye problem and they notified us immediately. Despite it not being their usual procedures (emergency contact should take to vet) they took him to the vet for us and made sure he was taken care of. They have kept a close eye on him and applied his medicine. Theyve also been so responsive and kept us updated. I love being able to see my pets on the camera. The best kennel you can trust your pets with hands down.
I love Camp Bow Wow for my dog. The employees at the Monroe location are friendly, professional, caring, and respectful. I absolutely trust them with my dog and I know they will take wonderful care of her. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my shy puppy has a good experience while there. In just a few visits I can see new confidence in my dog! Drop off and pick up are so easy. The facility is always clean.
Great staff and very welcoming. They take the time to explain dog behaviour and body language, which was so interesting. They reassured me with answering all my questions. At the end of the day, my dog was happy and exhausted. We will be coming again, for sure!
Our dog Kaya has been boarding here for over 5 years now. We travel frequently so she is what I call a “frequent flyer” at Camp Bow Wow. We are so impressed and appreciative of the care and diligence of the entire staff. Never a question that she is in good hands. This is her home away from home and she is very happy here. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Monroe!
I made an appt. For my 2 dogs, got to the place and the dog washer didn't show so I had to reschedule . They got my dogs in for the next day, no charge. They made it right and it was good business. The lobby looked nice, the gal who checked us in was nice with good customer service. My dogs looked really nice after and seemed happy. Definitely gonna use them again. I'm pretty picky on my dogs and how they are treated. I would really recommend to try them out.
The staff and services provided by Camp Bow Wow are great. They have met my needs and expectations in every way when it comes the my dog's care needs.
This is probably the only daycare that we're willing to travel 30mins+ for. Working in healthcare, it was hard to find a daycare that had operating hours that also worked with my early/long-houred shifts and we're so happy to find this place. We had adopted Saber from the shelter about 3 months before bringing her here (couldn't leave her alone due to the abusive environment she came from) and was super anxious about her socializing with other dogs (despite the shelter "claiming" she gets well along with others). The team, especially Temera, took extra care during her interview process and even suggested another free trial day in order to not stress Saber out all at once. A lot of other facilities interview dogs for about 10-30mins and determine the personality from there. This place, slowly introduced a number of dogs into the play area at a time and took hours to fully see what she was like. Camp Bow Wow is now the only place Saber literally walks through the gate with ease--which is a huge achievement since she used to tug away in the beginning. There are too many great things to say about this location/company. I love the fact I can watch the live video feeds to ease my mind, they have an easy-to-use app to schedule everything and update records, and we get a lot of report cards/feedback from the staff even though Saber is usually only there for daycare (which some places don't even go that extra step). It was even a surprise when Temera reached out to ask how our dog was doing since she hasn't gone to daycare in over a month. Thank you, Camp Bow Wow.
Camp counselors are friendly. Welcoming desk staff. Grooming services did a great job. Our dog showed no signs of anxiety after first pickup or when he returned for a second, longer visit. Seemed like he had a good time.
Amazing experience. We brought our dog for the first time to any day care here and they were amazing. They knew to slowly introduce him and even asked about a history of aggression. They met us at the hat at the end of the day it was an amazing experience. We would 100% recommend them again.
My very clingy dog went here and she’s been so social and seeks out other dogs now. Can’t believe the change in my 5 year old dog! Thank you 💜 …
We have a malamute that can be picky about who he trusts. He loves the ladies at all my friends. We travel a couple times a year and he's slant have any anxiety over going to boarding. We started using all my friends nearly 10 years ago with a different dog who had since passed away and we have had the most amazing experience with them. I would highly recommend them.
Best dog boarding facility EVER. We're very picky (and Ricochet is even more demanding) and all my friends exceeded our highest expectations. Two thumbs way up.
Great place to have watch your pets. We have a mid-sized dog and she had a blast there. Very friendly people we interacted with and a fair price. Flat rate that includes everything an active pup needs. 🐶 We will definitely be taking her back there when she can't come with us.
All My Friends was our go to for years. We were sad that all of our dogs got kennel cough on their last two visits, so we are in the market for a new place. Recognize it's not uncommon that dogs pick this up at boarding places, but there was no follow up, care or concern. Such a bummer, our pups were super happy here!
Recently, I had my three dogs stay here. I can’t say enough good things about how well they were treated and how attentive they were to our dogs particular needs. When I called to check on them, they were responsive in providing me a status update and to inform me that they were doing fine. The ladies here have a passion for taking care of our fur family and I would not use anyone else. Highly recommended! Excellent with our dogs and I feel very comfortable when I go out of town and leave our dogs in their second home.
My dog loves this place, it's like he gets his own little vacation when I have to go out of town. There is something for everyone. They have multiple giant yards for the dogs to run and play in, an in ground pool for them to swim in during the summer months, plenty of toys and TVs with animal planet in front of big couches. The staff are very nice and accommodating, and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside (for me) is the long drive since it's pretty far north from Seattle, as it usually takes me 45+ min to get there. All in all, highly recommend, especially if you're going out of town for several days.
Would not reccomend this place!! We took our dog here for an overnight trial before booking a 10 day stay and thank goodness we did a trial because when we got home he ran over to his water bowl and drank the entire thing like he hadn't had water the whole time. Then we noticed that he had deep scratches on the insides of both his thighs and a cut on his nose. Not to mention he was filthy after just 1 day. None of this was mentioned to us when we picked him up and after noticing the scratches at home, my husband called them and left a message ( it was also a pain communicating with them ahead of time and they do not answer their phone or email) and they have yet to respond several days later. Very unprofessional and I will never take my baby back there and would reccomend everyone else do the same. they are clearly not monitoring the dogs like they should be and not communicating with customers the way I would expect any business to.
We love this place and so does our dog! We left her there for 4 days and she didn't want to leave when we came to get her! The folks there were super nice and made us feel good about leaving her. The property and dog house are great and the dogs get loooots of play time. They even surprised us with a CD of photos of Ruby playing when we came to get her.
