Pares is an experienced and quality sitter and we knew our cat Juniper (and a few plants) was well cared for. We received regular updates and photos which was really nice to have during our travels. While we missed Juniper, we could see that she enjoyed receiving cuddles and attention from Pares. Upon returning home, our flat was clean and tidy, and Juniper was very happy! Thank you for taking care of her!

Young was the perfect house sitter for us. From the moment you meet her, you can tell she is animal person and is detailed oriented and will take great care of your house and pets. She exudes a peaceful and grounded energy. She was comfortable with each our pets from the high energy dog to the shy skittish cat. She played with the dog in the yard every day and took him on walks. And she was also very attentive to our cats and figured out how to maintain the equilibrium in the relationship between the cats and dog. She is an excellent communicator; she asked questions when our directions weren't clear and kept us updated on the pets. She is also an amazing photographer. She sent us pics of our pets every day that totally captured each of their personalities.

Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.

Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.

Summer was a very top-quality pet sitter and house sitter. She not only took excellent care of all four pets (three cats and a dog) but even achieved a very close bond with one of the cats. She went over and above the call of duty with our dog, who developed a serious skin condition while we were gone. We're so grateful that Summer was able to identify there was a problem, took the dog to the vet several times, and ended up having to apply topical medication and give pills and even keep the dog dressed in a t-shirt, which she did flawlessly. She communicated with us frequently, sending photos and updates, and the house was spotless when we returned, even cleaner than when we had left. She did an amazing job, knew how to handle any situation, always had a very upbeat and positive attitude, and we really enjoyed getting to know her right before we left and right after we returned. We would very very highly recommend Summer in all respects!

We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.

Amazing sitters - I feel so fortunate to have had them stay. Chapeau was treated to daily walks and belly rubs, and my cat Tica was overflowing with contentment from having been taken care of so well. The house was cleaner than I left it and I was treated to a nice note and a lovely candle upon my return. Also, they left a checklist of item that they had done while here. Truly above and beyond!

If Cung ever applies to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the offer. You will not be disappointed. Cung is among the top (if not the top) sitter I’ve ever had and I’ve been on this site for years. Primarily, Cung is very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Cung kept me abreast of his plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk him through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Cung really cares. When he got to my apartment after what I assume was a long day of traveling, I explained the care instructions and he was very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Cung followed those exactly. Third, Cung makes you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out within an hour of me being away - very fast for my cat as he is shy. Cung must have a calming energy towards animals. Cung was also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 5 minutes. I really appreciated that. My cat threw up at one point and Cung answered all of my questions to assess whether my cat was sick or had just eaten too fast. Fourth, Cung will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The sheets were washed and folded on my bed. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Cung also respects your property. I have an extensive computer setup that he used for work and he was very respectful of that equipment. He asked if he could use it beforehand, which was incredibly polite since he could have used it and I wouldn’t have known. In sum. You need to jump at the opportunity if Cung offers to sit for you. I came home to a very happy cat. Hope he will sit for me again sometime!

Great place to leave your dog. A real home from home. Cosy kennels and place to play in a large enclosure with other dogs if that is what your dog likes. Videos sent regularly via what's app while you are away showing your dog having a great time.
Bit late in reviewing as been very busy but my dog stayed here for 17 nights while went on holiday it’s Amazing dog kennels my dog came back looking so well looked after and the what’s app updates gave me peace of mind while on my holidays I’d say it was the best money spent sushi my dog had a wonderful time there seeing the videos of her running around and with other dogs as well so she got to mingle I honestly would recommend this kennels to everyone amazing staff and team and easy booking service with it being online thank you Joanne and Wilson for an amazing service
I have a giant breed dog and not all kennels will take her but Warathwaite are been fantastic - she loves going there. The facilities are excellent and she is very well looked after and the staff are all so lovely
So far we have only used this place once for a doggy daycare. We looked round the kennels and they were immaculately clean - each one we saw had underfloor heating in the 'inside' area had access to a private external area and a TV on the wall. The staff were very helpful - we got some tips on recall training which has proved very useful. Would highly recommend.
Warathwaite kennels are wonderful, caring staff ,very comfortable rooms for the dogs. A great secure paddock for exercise. I would highly recommend.
Our dog has stayed here twice now and I wouldn't take her elsewhere, when booking communication is always quick. Coco has medication daily and needs to be exercised alone, I've never worried about the fact that while she is here she is very well cared for and her needs are met.
Love these kennels, they're really fantastic with our dog, and he's always well looked after, he just loves going there as he makes lots of friends, they even send you a video of your dog!! Which is great it lets us see what he's doing and is always happy when he's there, would recommend these kennels 10/10 excellent.xx
I would like to thank Joanne & Wilson for taking such good care of Kiki & Alfie whilst we were away on holiday. It’s comforting knowing that they are being looked after so well by two people who are genuine dog lovers. They both got groomed whilst staying there & Joanne has done a fantastic job good value too. Highly recommend the grooming & the kennels dogs get their luxury holiday in their outstanding kennels, while we are on hours . My two will definitely go back to stay when we go away next & to get groomed.
Hendrix loved his stay at Warathwaite boarding kennel. We got sent regular pictures and videos of our dog which put us at ease when we were on holiday. Hendrix came back very clean and smelled amazing. Would 100% recommend.

From first emailing Katy about collecting our dog from kennels & bringing him for a couple of wedding photos, to the day of the wedding communication was superb. Our dog was brought and they waited for longer than planned as we got family photos, our dog Ozzy was looked after amazingly & was the cherry on top of a wonderful day being able to have him there for pictures. Katy and Craig took our 4 month year old puppy for a few days, allowing us to do some proper hiking in the Lakes during a week long holiday. They were absolutley fantastic with him (especially as I'm sure he required a bit more TLC than the other dogs) and he came back a very happy puppy each time! Katy was incredibly responsive over email to arrange the booking too - couldn't recommend highly enough.
Our dog loves her days at Thea’s. She gets so excited to see her friends for a play day when we drop her off. The team are really lovely and take time to get to know each dog. Highly recommended.
Wonderful! In every way! Katie and Craig (and Thea of course!!!) welcome dogs into their home and treat them as if they were their own! They're highly knowledgable and understand a wide variety of breeds and their individual personalities! My little fella loves going and was so relaxed when I dropped him off! Made himself totally at home! Couldn't recommend Thea's Lakeland Walks enough!
Thea's Lakeland Walks is an excellent place where you can leave your pet in the knowledge that they will be cared for as if they were at home. Craig and Katy are very knowledgeable and give your pets a safe, happy and fun environment to play and socialise in. Tasha loves spending time with them.
We booked Wilf in to stay whilst we attended Kendal Calling. We were apprehensive about leaving him initially as he can get a little anxious until settling but we needn’t have worried, Craig kindly took his bed from us then whilst we were chatting with Katy he came back and lead Wilf away. Wilf trotted off more than happily, obviously picking up on the relaxed vibes. Katy updated us over the weekend on how he was doing which was great peace of mind to us. We collected Wilf to continue the next few days walking in the area but we’ve actually been glad of the change in weather to have rain as Wilf is shattered, happy but not keen to walk too far. Haha, thanks to you both. Lovely place you have and very secure, would highly recommend.

My cat doesn’t ever want to come home 🙈 he loves this place so much and is so well cared for he doesn’t want to leave. I try to take that as a positive rather than hurt feelings about our home! 🤣 When we get there and open the carrier he skips out looking so pleased to be back. Would never even consider taking him somewhere else. Because of him being so relaxed and happy there , his young sister had a lovely first stay away from home and I hope that she’ll think the same about doggies and moggies for any future visits.
Really lovely place for cats. Window to look out of with mesh so cats can hear the noises too, places to jump and scratching posts. The owners take a real interest in getting to know your cat better.
I picked up my two cats and my daughters cat today from here and all cats have settled at home very quickly. All our cats are rescue cats and have been very well looked after by Rachael and staff they have stayed here two times upto now and already booked their stay for a third time.I would highly recommend this place and the staff for your pets. What a relief to find Doggies and Moggies Retreat in Armathwaite. For the first time in 9 years I needed somewhere for my much-loved cat to spend 6 days. This retreat far outshone other catteries I had visited in the area. It was spotlessly clean throughout, from the welcome area, to the cat pens. I loved the 'garden' area in each one. Rachel was so accommodating, allowing me to bring many items from home to help my boy settle in ( including his home made chicken sausages to go in the freezer ). I cannot speak highly enough of both Rachel and Wendy, who made sure Oscar was happy and settled. My timid boy took to both of them very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. I can now go on holiday without a worry. Many thanks to both of you. See you soon.x
I would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in sending my old boy Sid (the cat) to stay with Rachael again, or from recommending her to anyone. She is so lovely and clearly adores the animals she looks after. The cat rooms are great with lovely views out to the beautiful countryside. The fact she is a qualified Veterinary Nurse is also extra reassurance that your loved one is in safe, caring hands. Thank you so much Rachael.

Rachel is lovely and had obviously had our young cat Esme very well looked after for a 1 1/2 weeks. It was our first time leaving her at a cattery and we'll be coming back soon! 🐱 …
On both occasions my dog went here she was injured & on the second time it was severe but they failed to get a vet or alert the owner resulting in my dog needing an operation which could have been avoided. The owner originally said the incident happened first thing in the morning, when she kicked my dog in the face rather than the ball, resulting in ny dog having a swollen eye that she couldn't open. She blamed the dog for this saying "she's a good goalkeeper". In the next 8 hours, they did not alert the dog owner or a vet regardless that it was still swollen and she coudlnt open her eye. Instead they left her in pain and posted happy videos of the other dogs on facebook. Since the incident, the kennel owner has changed her story when asked for in writing and now we have no choice but to go down the court route.... Do not recommend & would avoid if you want your dogs looked after appropriately and safely. In my emails prior to being a client, the owner wrote that she would keep me updated on how my dog settled and of any issues but this never materialised. Accidents happen, but unprofessional and neglectful responses to them can not be forgiven and I alert everyone to this to avoid their dog suffering at this day care.
Excellent service & accommodation. Our dog, Millie, loves Rachel. When we get her out of the car she goes straight to the door to get in to find Rachel & then her kennel. She's always very happy there. Highly recommend

Left Daisy our little Jackapoo there for a couple of nights. She was well looked after and exercised. Perfectly sized big kennels very clean and very welcoming, big outside space for dogs which is perfect, 100% will recommend to family and friends, I wouldn't use anywhere else now!
Our dogs are always happy here, they don't get agitated about going and they're content when they come home. There's a field for them to run free in their family groups, underfloor heating, they very are reasonably priced and flexible too.
Recently visiting family in Carlisle, and found this gem. Brilliant kennels. Baxter was looked after so well, and the owner had all the appropriate Covid precautions in place. Will definitely be rebooking.
Warm welcome and my dogs love to come and stay. Clean and very big exercise area. I recommend this to all my friends.
my 14year old lab sky has just spent a week at radmores kennels. Nothing was too much trouble for them,she is diabetic and partially blind so required special care and insulin injectionson a daily basis. Cant thank them enough!

Always use these kennels for our dog and have been doing so these last 7 years. The staff are lovely and they take such care of the animals in their care. Kennels are spotless too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these kennels
Delighted to have found and used Allenwood, en route from Ireland to England . Such a lovely Boarding Kennels and Cattery. It was very clean and well set out. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It was comforting to know that Ollie, my cat, was well settled and happy whilst staying there. Thank you for a great service. Allenwoods have been amazing. They have helped me through a really difficult time where my dog couldn't stay in the house, at extremely short notice they took him in and looked after him whilst we found a new home. Wonderful people, highly recommend.
Great services, staff lovely, felt comfortable leaving my dog with them. Kennels and pens huge well maintained and very warm and cosy. Grounds lively and ample staff and volunteers to work with the boarders. Nothing was too much bother, they asked all the right questions leaving me with a feeling of confidence. We placed our little spaniel, (Cheeky Charlie!) here again. We had to book in at extremely short notice but Richard was so accommodating with our timings. Matthew was also so attentive towards Charlie and when he returned home settled instantly. The kennels are just immaculate and we wouldn’t go anywhere else now as we have the peace of mind knowing our little dog is so well looked after at Allenwood. We will see you next time. Thank you.

Mae is very friendly and approachable as well as quick and responsive with queries. She helped me out of a bind at short notice and was a great communicator throughout organisation.
I booked Mae to look after my six cats . She came beforehand to meet me and the cats . Mae wanted details of all the cats and what they eat . I found her very professional and organised . I had no hesitation on booking Mae i can completely trust her . She took good care of my cats and sent me daily updates and videos . And she took time to play with my cats and they liked her as well . I will definitely book chip and chill the next time I go away . Mae is absolutely lovely .
I' ve been using Chip n Chill's services for a few weeks now on a daily basis, I cannot praise them highly enough. Mae comes and does exactly what shes supposed to do, and does it well. My boy Freddy loves her coming , and she is great with him. All is done at a very reasonable price, and I would not fail to recommend Chip n Chill to anyone. If I could give an extra star on the rating I would. Well done
Mae is utterly fantastic! She's super professional and organised - she did a free consultation visit with important paperwork, met my cat Pigeon, and gathered as many details as she could. During the actual sitting she sent regular updates, which is very reassuring to a worried cat mum! He's usually quite anxious with strangers but Mae knew exactly how to interact with him and when he'd had enough. I can't recommend Chip 'n' Chill enough! I'll definitely be going back to Mae for future sitting.
Our previous dog walker let us down and came across Chip n Chill. Mae is a lovely lady and is so so good with my 2 dogs, mini dachshund and English bull dog, they absolutely love her. I’m a vet and also very very careful about who I leave my dogs with. My dogs are not easy dogs and although I was cautious, circumstances meant I needed to leave one of them in kennels at Hesket. I can not sing their praises highly enough. They made changes to their regular routine to accommodate my dogs needs, they followed my instructions to the letter, and from the regular photos and updated I could see that she was completely relaxed (something that doesn’t come easy for her). I could also tell from things reported that they genuinely understood her needs and personality. I highly recommend Hesket.
Superb standard of care. My girl isn’t easy but at Hesket they follow all the instructions the letter and have therefore managed to build a strong bond. I can go away with complete confidence that she is being well cared for and understood.
I sent my dog to Hesket kennels for a week whilst away on holiday and I was worried about doing so because my dog can be difficult but they did an amazing job keeping her safe and well looked after for me. The owners are friendly, understanding and knowledgeable about the individual needs of dogs, I highly recommend.
We placed our four dogs and two cats at Hesket for almost three weeks very recently. I hadn’t realised what a bunch of divas my animals are but Laura handled them beautifully. We have one dog that is a very faddy eater and declined the food we took for him (you don’t have to take food they get provided for) but Laura went out of her way to find something the little man would eat. Another who’s got walking demands ! All catered for. They all came home smelling good and not like everyone else’s dog like can sometimes happen. The kennels are very strict on animal safety being near the A6 so it’ll that’s a concern, you can relax as they have rules about entering and leaving site to Make sure your pets don’t escape. I was very reassured. My lot are hard to cater for and We wouldn’t just take them anywhere but we have booked them all back in for next year already. From our experience I am very happy to recommend them.
We put our dog into the kennels for a few days & this place is great. They really looked after Abby, giving her individual attention. The kennels are family run & not too large so offer a personal service. Really good, would recommend it!
My partner and I highly recommend this kennel. Just picked up our 4 dogs this morning after leaving them for a week. First time at this kennel. After the initial crazy excitement of greeting, the handover was seamless. All doggies healthy and happy and so are we! We will be back.
Just so thoughtful and caring for each dog and their personality. Charlie is very settled.

I was really nervous about my dog coming into kennels as he has separation anxiety and doesn't like other dogs but the second time we came he was pulling on his lead to get in and couldn't get in fast enough. He loves it! I enjoy time away much more knowing that the dogs are happy and they always come home tired so they must be getting some good walks too!
Brilliant boarding kennels! Mark and Liz have been looking after my dogs whenever I go on holiday for over 15 years. They really have the dogs best interests at heart and I can feel confident going away knowing they will be well looked after.
I’ve been taking my Dogs here for years. The Staff are the best and the accommodation is that good I’d stay in it myself. Nothing is too much trouble. Wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else! It’s always quiet as well, no fireworks going off anywhere near!

Dogs always come home happy. One negative from my experience is that they don't take dogs for a walk if it's raining.....
