Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing my dog was in great hands, and I could not recommend Anita enough! Quality care, and our apartment was spotless when we returned home.
David was a great sitter for our dog! It was just him for this sit. He was very communicative before, during, and after the stay. He visited the apartment before we left to meet our dog and talk with us, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and confident that our dog was in good hands. He sent us updates throughout the stay, and left the apartment in great condition. While our dog is on the older side, he can still be a handful at times, but David didn’t seem to have any problems. Would definitely recommend David for any future sit!
Angela Gandolfo and Erica Piazza came to stay at our house while we were away on vacation for two weeks. Our two dogs are a handful, but these two lovely women took such good care of them. They spoiled them even more than we do, which is perfect. We got photos every day, and when we came home our house was tidy and there were clean sheets on the bed. I couldn't have asked for better house and pet sitters than these two women. They communicated well with us, and if they had questions, they asked. It was a pleasure to work with both Angela and Erica. We had to cut our vacation short because of a death in the family. It was really stressful, but once again, Angela and Erica were flexible and understanding. It made a difficult time easier, knowing that things at home were being managed so well. I'm hoping that if we ever have to go away again for such a long time, I will be able to get these two back here again! (hint hint) Thank you, Angela and Erica!
If we could give 10 out of 5 stars for Candace, Brian, and Chris, we would! They were amazing house and dog sitters for Brown Dog and Scout. They were so accommodating with our timeline and had read our welcome guide to a tee! It was so reassuring being gone for 2 weeks and knowing our pups were in amazing hands. They sent us daily updates and pictures and it was clear the dogs were so well cared for! They left the house very clean and even had all of our bedding and towels washed for us when we arrived home. Would absolutely recommend them for a sit and would love to have them back again any time!
Cindy is an absolutely fantastic sitter and we feel very lucky to have had her care for our dog and our home whilst we went on our family holiday. Her communication before and throughout our sit was fantastic, and she even took our dog to the vet when he needed an unexpected checkup. She took great care of him and sent daily updates including videos and photos of their time together. We could tell that he felt very relaxed in her company. Thank you so much Cindy - it is a real godsend to have someone so kind and caring to take care of your pets and home and we would be delighted to have Cindy back again in future.
We initially accepted Deirdre and Jason for a long stay to look after our dogs. We were very happy they accepted. A few weeks later we realized we needed another sitter for another trip we had planned. So, we posted more dates on zeewoi. To our happy surprise, Deirdre and Jason reached out to us saying they could also look after our dogs and home with the new dates we posted. This made our life much easier and we were very confident to have Deirdre and Jason stay longer with us and care for our dogs. We were definitely right!! D&J have countless experiences on zeewoi with very good reviews from all of their previous sits. They are very experienced with all aspects of a house/pet sitting. D&J are very self-sufficient, have the background knowledge and education of pet care, and most importantly a genuine love for all animals. This is most important for my wife and I. We knew from the first meeting with our pups they loved animals. Communication was excellent. The process before and during our sit was stress-free for us. We were given daily updates on our dogs including photos and videos. Any concerns D&J had were vocalized to us. D&J are also problem solvers and know how to react many challenging situations. Our routine for our pets was followed immaculately and all dogs were very happy and connected with them. Even our female dog Kinki grew close so quickly with D&J which is very rare. We had ZERO issues while we were gone and we were able to really enjoy our trip while we were away. The dogs definitely love being around D&J. Homecare: We are very pleased with the condition of our home when we returned. It was clean, free of clutter, and exactly how we had left it for them, if not even better! D&J even mowed our grass and took care of our yard! Our yard is not a small garden. It is very big and takes hours to mow. So we were very surprised and excited to know they did that for us even though it's not expected of our sitters!! They definitely went above and beyond what is expected. Our dogs are so very important to us. When we know we can trust our sitters it's the best feeling in the world. We definitely trust Deirdre and Jason with our most prized possessions and we look forward to the next sit with them in a few days!!! We can't thank them enough for giving our dogs the love and attention they deserve. We highly recommend Deirdre and Jason for your future sittings and you can always feel free to contact Izabela and I about D&J for additional verification from us. They are fantastic! Thanks so much Deirdre and Jason! -Allen and Izabela
Duha was such a light to have in our home while we were away. She kept us updated with beautiful photos of our dogs throughout her stay and didn’t leave their side once. I’ve never felt so comfortable with any other sitter and I truly hope this won’t be the last time she sits for us.
The two-leggeds and four-legged members of this household give Tess a 5-star rating! We think she's one of the best sitters you will find - highly communicative, friendly, competent, reliable, and great with pets. Tess was also flexible about start and end dates to accomodate possible winter weather complications. For this sit, Tess was able to bring along her mom, Cathy. Tess introduced me to Cathy during one of our Skype conversations prior to the sit. It was a bonus to have her here with Tess. Their travel to Marquette was complicated by weather. A fierce winter storm swept across Michigan just before the sit. It took Tess and Cathy two days to drive here but they arrived, as promised, in time for us to fly out early the next morning. We even had time for a lovely dinner together and to introduce them to the dogs and house. We left the next day and never had a moment's worry while Tess and Cathy were caring for our pets and home. Tess sent us regular updates and photos. The dogs immediately accepted them as great new additions to their pack of friends - even our cranky, old chihuahua, Nike! We returned to happy pets and a spotlessly clean home. We plan to invite Tess (and Cathy if available) to return for future sits. Thank you, Tess and Cathy!
Alia is awesome and we have used her several times. She is a 5 star rated sitter every time. The dogs are happy and the house is perfect when we get home. She even cooked dinner for our arrival home because we came home late. Highly recommend Alia!!
I cannot thank Jenny and Geoff enough for stepping in at the last minute after the original sitter cancelled. They are a great couple, friendly , organised and extremely capable. Also they LOVE animals. My dog and cat have clearly been given a great deal of care and attention in my absence. Jenny kept in touch with notes and lovely photos, Geoff cut my grass and I came home to a spotlessly sparkling house ! Thank you so much! Jenny and Geoff are welcome back anytime and I would not hesitate to recommend them as excellent sitters.

I’m very disappointed with Dogtopia Norwell. They unexpectedly decided to dismiss my dog, despite consistently telling me how sweet and friendly he is. I’ve noticed the facility is often overcrowded, with far too many dogs packed into a single room. This makes me wonder if they truly prioritize the well-being of the animals. It’s really unfortunate, as I thought I’d found a place where my dog could be happy and safe. I wouldn’t recommend Dogtopia Norwell to anyone looking for quality care and attention for their pet.
I don’t usually leave reviews but had to take the time to commend the Dogtopia team! Our pup and family LOVES the Dogtopia facility and staff. The team couldn’t be kinder, more compassionate, and so caring for all the pups! You can tell they truly care about their work and the dogs they work with. No better place to leave a member of the family for the day ❤️
We recently boarded our two dogs at Dogtopia, including our 13-year-old dog, who had never experienced a UTI before. A couple of days prior to her stay, she attended a meet-and-greet, and shortly after her first day of actual boarding, staff reported that she had blood in her urine and frequent urination. This required an urgent and unexpected vet visit, costing us $500. Initially, we thought it might be coincidental, but after reviewing the live feed from Dogtopia’s common area, it became clear there may have been a connection. Only about 50% of stools were cleaned up promptly, and we witnessed dogs engaging in coprophagia (stool eating), with residue left uncleaned. Given Ruby’s need to squat often to urinate, we suspect the unsanitary conditions, observed both during the meet-and-greet and her stay, likely contributed to her UTI. When we picked up our dogs, one had developed an eye infection, and both had a strong odor of feces despite reportedly being bathed. We had to air out our vehicle and spent an additional $200 on cleaning and grooming. Altogether, what should have been a simple two-night stay resulted in over $700 in additional expenses. Sanitation does not appear to be a priority at Dogtopia, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend them. Pet owners should be aware of the potential health risks here.
Excellent and caring service by everyone in the Nowell daycare. The place is clean and well maintained and our pup Sasha loves it there!
Always great service and care provided by the Norwell Staff! Our puppy loves it there and the daycare is very clean. We highly recommend them.
He comes ho.e happy healthy tired, yay uses the puppy energy in a safe environment, watching him gives relief to know how he is to physically see hi Is a game changer 10 🌟 10 stars 🌟 🤩 …
My big boy Vinnie ..looks so forward to playing with his friends and coaches @Dogtopia Norwell..each and everytime he goes! Fantastic staff and facility... highly recommend
Came here for a meet and greet yesterday and also put my dog in daycare for the rest of the day after he passed. I was pretty happy with how clean the place was and they also pride themselves in it as well. They also have cameras in each room so we as pawrents could see the dogs from our phones at home. The only thing I wish they did was have a better camera angle so I could see my dog in the corner that he was in 90% of the time yesterday so I didn’t know if he was actually having fun, locked up, or etc. They also provide baths which I will definitely give a try someone later.
We’ve been bringing our Beagle puppy, Deacon since the Norwell location opened. The staff are incredibly helpful and caring. Deacon always comes home happy and tired. And that’s a very good thing.
Deeply disappointed. Brought my 9 year old 45 pound boxer for day care 3 times. On the third time, she was visibly shaken when I picked her up and went immediately to bed when she got home. She woke the next morning at 5 AM, shaking and crying. While trying to calm her, I discovered several cuts, bites, bruising and missing fur. I called to ask if she had been in an altercation with another dog (I get it, it happens). They told me they checked with all the staff that were on that day and assured me that nothing had happened. They said she did get out of her harness and maybe she injured herself in doing so. I was not aware that they had a harness on her. She uses a regular dog collar. The injuries were not consistent with that, not to mention that if she had injured herself that badly, why didn't the "rover" (the person in the room at all times) notice before she hurt herself. I sent them photos of the injuries. They emailed back 2 days later to tell me that when she was "put into a slip lead to be crated for lunch, she refused and started flailing around which set the other dogs off around her. Once the coach calmed things down, she checked (her) over with a wet wipe and was unable to find anything". I called ask what they meant by "set the other dogs off". They told me video recording showed when they were trying to put her in the crate she did not want to go in and several dogs jumped on top of her. It took multiple staff to get them off of her. Then they asked if maybe she was just shedding and that was why she had missing fur (and bite marks and bruising are you serious????). I asked to see the video, they refused. I asked for a refund, they said they would put in a request but I still have not been refunded. Deeply disappointed that 1. they didn't tell me when it happened or at the very least when I picked her up. 2. They outright lied and told me nothing happened. 3. They downplayed what really happened until I pressed for answers. 4. How could they have possibly missed the injuries, she had bite marks and fur missing??? I would have given 0 stars but that was not an option. BTW, a friend of mine said her dog also came home with an injury and was told nothing happened. Don't bring your pet to Dogtopia of Norwell!
Im so so glad we found Christine, my Luna love her soo much and her new friends. She really is an angel, and took care of my baby so well she was howling and crying cause she didn’t want to leave lol. I recommend her services 100% she even give me a photo of luna ❣️ plus she text me and send me videos all time so i feel safe and confortable, we are definitely coming back to her always. Thanks so much Christine.
We were VERY thankful we found Christine to care for our dog while we were away. Christine took great care of our dog, sent photos and updates. He had a blast with her dogs and was showered with attention. It was evident from all of our conversations that Christine LOVES dogs and this came through in photos and just how our dog behaved at and after pick-up. When we picked him up he was content and happy, and not at all in a hurry to leave. (Prior to this we always felt terrible leaving him at a kennel, even if he got some playtime he always seemed nervous for a few days after pickup). Our dog looks forward to his next stay with Christine, we called it his dog-vacation since he had so much fun. Highly recommend.
I cannot say enough about how AMAZING Christine was with my 2 dogs!!!! I have never felt so comfortable leaving my dogs anywhere before!!! Christine is extremely attentive to the dogs and their individual needs. I left my dogs with her for 6 days and recieved frequent updates and pictures, they had SO much fun. They were able to play in the fenced in yard as much as they wanted every day that they were there! And when I came back they just seemed so relaxed and happy in her home!! I don't think they wanted to leave!! This is the only place I will be leaving them from now on!!
Recently had our 10 month old golden stay with Christine, our dog loved it! Christine did a great jobs of keeping us updated and clearly loves does and truly wants her home to be their home while their owners are away. This was the first time that we’ve left our pup Harley with someone other then family, so we were a bit nervous at first. But Christine had us come over a few days before hand to meet her and her two pups and so she could meet Harley. I could tell right away the good care she would take in making sure our dog was happy and healthy while staying with her. She only takes two dogs at a time so our dog got plenty of attention! There’s a fenced in yard for the pups to play in and plenty of toys too. Christine checked in regularly to make us feel at ease and Harley wasn’t in a rush to leave when we picked her up so it was clear she had a good time. We will definitely have Harley stay with Christine again and I would highly recommend her.
Christine is an absolute angel! I just moved here this summer and am super new to the North East. I don't know a soul here besides my coworkers. I had to leave town for several days to tend to an emergency back home. I had no idea what I was going to do with my dog. I found Christine online, and to be honest I was nervous having to find someone here to watch my baby, but she exceeded any and all expectations. Christine has a great personality and you can see the love and passion she has for taking great care of dogs the second you meet her. Her house is nice and cozy, she has a yard that is double gated, and is supervising 24/7. She even slept downstairs in the living room every single night to ensure my dog never felt alone or uncomfortable! I heard from Christine every single day, got updates, pictures, videos, etc. I am so grateful for finding Christine and for the love she has for other's pets. Christine is amazing and I am truly so thankful for her care and hospitality. If I am ever in need of someone to care for my pup, she is the first person I will reach out to without any hesitation! Thank you so much Christine for all that you do! It means more than you know.
We have used Christine to watch our pup twice now (once overnight). She has a well fenced in a yard and two very friendly dogs our puppy got along with great. Christine is a great communicator and was very accommodating. She understood our concerns as pet owners (probably easy being one herself). You should feel very comfortable leaving your dog with her.
Christine took amazing care of our puppy when we went away for the weekend. She is a very kind person and truly loves animals. She kept us updated with pictures of our puppy having a great time throughout. We will definitely be bringing our dog back to her next time we go away. When I picked our dog up I could tell she felt right at home at Christine’s place. Thanks again Christine, Maya can’t wait to see you again.
Christine is so amazing and kind. She really loves the animals and does so much to make the parents feel comfortable. I got pictures and videos through the stay. I have an adolescent 8 month old and she had so much fun. Slept so well once home. Christine even gave us a personalized gift for our first stay which warms my heart. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family!
Christine is great! Our dog boarded with her for a week and she got a lot of attention and play time. Christine provided us with updates/pictures every morning and evening which was great. She’s with the dogs 24/7 which really eased our worries about leaving for vacation.
There need to be more people like Christine in this world! This was our first time leaving "Thea" with anyone, and we were nervous wrecks until meeting with Christine. After talking to us over the phone, she invited us to her place so we could see if Thea would be comfortable staying there. Once we arrived, she slowly introduced her dogs to Thea and ensured that Thea was comfortable throughout the whole experience. Christine answered all of our questions and made us feel as if we were family. We agreed to let Christine watch Thea for nine days while we were gone, and we do not regret it. The hospitality and professionalism did not stop there. Christine informed us that we could drop Thea off at any time, and we took her up on that offer. I had a banquet that I had to attend and would not be able to get Thea there until 10 P.M. That was no problem for Christine, and she happily took Thea in at that time. Christine would send us updates, pictures, and videos every day throughout Thea's stay. She answered all of my calls and ensured that Thea and we were comfortable throughout the whole experience. She also allowed us to extend for a day and was happy to keep Thea for an additional day. Christine's place is a must if you are looking for someone to watch your dog for a few days or a few weeks. She never puts your dog in a kennel/cage; she is with them throughout the whole experience, and she goes over every detail with you. Thea did not want to leave when we arrived. Not only did we go home with a happy dog, but Christine added her personal touch by sending us home with a surprise that we now have hanging in our house. We have also booked another week with Christine this summer. We have officially found "A Home Away From Home" for Thea! Thank you again, Christine; you genuinely care about all animals.
Heidi has been a great assist in helping me train my 6 month year old chihuahua puppy. Her instructions are easy to follow and homework with my dog has become fun. I am building my confidence because of Heidi and that’s all part of training. I get trained too 😆. I would definitely recommend Heidi . A+++ …
Heidi’s hounds is amazing. Huge shoutout to Heidi’s Hounds! They have taken such excellent care of my cats over the years when I travel. Recently I was having work done on house while away and one of workers inadvertently let one of my cats out. They came for their daily visit and found her outside. They came back multiple times during the day to try to coax him back inside and making sure he was safe and fed. They communicated what was going on and what they were doing. Just cannot say enough. Really CARE for our fur babies.
We were delighted at the incredible care our dog and cat received during our weeklong vacation. The attention to detail and the loving they gave our pets was outstanding. We highly recommend Heidi's Hounds. Your pets will be much happier in their own home, rather than being boarded. Thanks, Heidi's Hounds!
I’ve been using services since this summer and am very appreciative of the care the staff at Heidi’s Hounds provides for my dog. The pictures and journal entries are always so fun to read. The communication is excellent - you can tell the staff genuinely care about the animals. I highly recommend!
Heidi‘s hounds were nothing but amazing. They were great when I went on vacation. They took great care of my Layla and she loved them as well. They were very responsive, professional, and arrived in a timely manner ! I would recommend them for sure.
Heidi’s Hounds has made life with 2 puppies manageable and enjoyable! Our family can continue with our crazy weekend schedule and travel knowing that they are taken care of, tired and loved!!
Our cats love Heidi’s Hounds and their staff! I’m pretty sure they think they are also on vacation! I have never felt so safe and relieved leaving my babies.
This company is more concerned with money than the well being of pets in their care. They’ve taken on too much customers without enough staff to support it. There are some ‘boutique’ features such as online bookings and pet journals. They were good to use when we had a senior dog. Don’t expect consistent contacts. You never know who will be scheduled, the staff seems to change regularly, there isn’t much flexibility. 3 hour timeframes for the walk times is like working with the cable company. I want more for my puppy.
Heidi's Hounds has been amazing for our dog who does not like strangers. They have been patient and kind and he now looks forward to their visits!
I can always count on good care for my 2 dogs when I need it. Heidi’s hounds is flexible and responsive and gives updates on how the visits are going.
We reached out to Nancy a couple of times for overnights for our young male lab and she was great! Our need increased after a cancer diagnosis and she was super accommodating to our sporadic schedule while I was unable to walk him at all. Now Nancy comes 2x a week most weeks and our baby seems to really love it! He gets excited when he sees her pull up and is tired but happy when he gets back home. I recommend Nancy and Take the Lead!
We used Nancy and Take the Lead for several years while we lived in Scituate. She was great. 15 months ago we moved to Atlanta but now (10/16) we are moving back. I called Nancy to see if she could take care of our dog and cat for the first to nights while we moved in. Once again she has come to our rescue. We are a big fan of Nancy and Take the Lead. We trusted her with our keys and our pets. She never failed us. Thank you Nancy! You can use her with confidence.
Nancy is so great with our 2 year old lab. She has watched him overnight on several occasions ranging from a night to over a week. He’s always happy to arrive, play with her dogs, and go on hikes :) Highly recommend her!!
Nancy is a real dog person with a big heart for her clients and very knowledgeable. She cares for your pet like it’s one of her own! She sends you photos of your pet while you’re away so you can rest assured they are happy and safe with her!
Call Nancy for your all your boarding needs. She took great care of our 3 papillons while we were away on vacation. Nancy even took the time to send us pictures and updates on how our dogs were doing. I highly recommend Take The Lead Pet Care to anyone who wants a worry -free boarding experience. 5 STARS!
Since moving to Scituate in June 2011, Nancy and Take the Lead Pet Care have been like a second family to our 3 1/2 year old Portuguese Water Dog, Farley, and our kitties. Nancy provides the utmost in care and experience and has been there for us whenever we've needed her--whether a last minute schedule change for impromptu dog care, or as a caring support to show us tips and techniques when our cat Izzy was terminally ill. Our dog Farley joins in her doggie outing group several times a week and always comes home happy and exhausted! Take the Lead has provided boarding for times when we've been away and Nancy treats our dog like her own--she has even sent daily photos and texts. Take the Lead Pet Care is the absolute VERY best care for your pets on the South Shore--thanks so much, Nancy!!
Take the Lead is fantastic! When we moved to Scituate a year ago Nancy was so kind and helpful to us in so many ways. When she takes our high energy vizsla (Ginger) for doggie play dates and walks, she comes home exhausted (not easy to do with Ginger!). Nancy is caring, compassionate, attentive and I feel 100% confident that Ginger is well cared for with her. I recommend TTL to any dog owner!!
I highly recommend Take the Lead Pet Care! Nancy has taken such great care of my 2 labs, and is especially attentive to my elderly one as she ages. Great communication; extremely reliable. I know she loves my dogs!
I cannot recommend Nancy. Initially our experience with her was very positive. She was very flexible with our schedule and arrived when expected. That all changed this week. Scituate had a lockdown and Nancy never arrived at our house to let our dog out. We were not aware of the situation and she never called me to let me know she wasn't going to make it. My dog was left in the house without relief for twelve hours. I realize the lockdown was out of her control but making a phone call was not. Nancy assured me she would be a our house later in the week and again she never showed up and never called.
Take the Lead truly loves our baby and keeps him very active and social. Typically they walk our dog but the value they provide is the flexibility in their care. Time of day, length of service and even sleep over requests are all accommodated by Take the Lead. I have and would recommend their services to anyone that needs care for their pets because our dog is social, fit and well cared for by Take the Lead Pet Care.
My puppy Rosie loves her days at Fox and Hound Petit! She started at the Harborside location in the puppy program and recently moved over to the Norwell location. Can’t say enough about the staff in both locations - they’re phenomenal! So lucky to have such great programs, grooming and boarding.
Fabulous doggie care!! Wonderful people and great dogs!
We were in a bind and needed our English bulldog to stay overnight during our camping vacation. Not being from the area we were nervous about leaving him anywhere, but the staff was calming, friendly and reassuring. They allowed us to tour the whole facility and showed us where our boy would be staying. He was very well taken care of and came back to us safe and happy!
I bring my dog and my mom’s dog they are both HORRIBLE to get their nails done and the woman takes them back and gets them done and says they were good everytime! The fact that she could get get clippers near them let alone walk out completely done with both dogs in less then 15 min! The staff are extremely kind and reassuring I’m a paranoid dog Mom and I’ve had bad experiences with groomers in the past. They allowed me to tour the facility my first time there. And put my mind at ease
I want to thank Taylor for the amazing grooming job that she gave my dog Hank today. As my niece would say “he is stage ready” …. I am so glad we found you Taylor! -Carrie Gabrielle
They love my dog like I do. They take very good care of her. Very kind people. Reasonable prices. Love supporting local. I never worry when my dog is in their care.
10/10 ! I was referred here by a friend for my pup shih tzu Marley and have loved the experience since Day 1. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The place itself is very clean and very spacious. With a place this big I was nervous about my small dog being over powered by the other big dogs in the building however, they are kept separate and all the dogs in there have been super friendly which is a plus. The grooming has been wonderful. I got exactly what I’ve asked for and the groomer, Taylor is wonderful and experienced. She found a few ticks on my dog and then took the time to explain how to search for them, the areas to search and what to do to help prevent it aside from the medicine / ointment & collars. Even though I love 25 minutes away, it’s well worth the drive!
My dog, Mac, absolutely loves it here. He gets so excited to be dropped off and is exhausted by the end of the day! Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
They are the best at pampered paws. My little frenchie gets so excited the second we get off the exit & comes home wiped out from playing all day. Cyndi & Michelle are so good to my little guy! Couldn't recommend enough!
Absolutely incredible place. My dog loves it there. Always so excited to see the staff. I love that he plays so much he's tired when he gets home.
Great place for both, Dog boarding and daycare, clean and well kept. The Staff is extremely friendly, Highly recommend!
Love this place- I’ve only taken my dog for grooming (not boarding or doggie day care)- everyone is so friendly and professional. Booking is easy and they are prompt and their prices are very reasonable.
Linda was great took good care of our 5 dogs while we were away
