I boarded my 2 dogs here and Mike was great with both of them. When I picked them up, they were both happy to see me but also happy around the folks there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a worry free experience for their dogs.

Amazing!!!! First time we took our furry family member to a doggy hotel! After arriving we found that the owners attend our church, and we felt even more relieved! Their love for animals was obvious after seeing three of their little dogs look out the window of their home, and another one walking outside! Exceptional, professional, passionate owners! Thank you for taking away one worry, as we traveled on a family vacation!

Leaving your dog here is worse than just leaving it in a cage in your house while you go up north. We boarded our 2 year old chocolate lab there for two days. When we pulled in to drop him off, we realized it was just a house in the middle of nowhere and a barn. The boy who was at the house took our dog into a barn and locked him into a cage. Two days later when I decided to pick my dog up, I showed up and there was no one at the facility. After waiting for half an hour (not being able to reach them on the phone because they never answer) a women pulls up and asks who I’m here to pick up, I tell her and she leads me to the barn. My dog is in the same cage he was in when I dropped him off and growling and barking at everyone because he is so scared. I eventually get him to realize it was me and took him home. I understand that this place is in the middle of nowhere northern Michigan and wasn’t going to be a 5 star resort for my dog, but I expected for him to not be locked in a cage for days on end and terrified when I picked him up. The people running this place are rude and inconsiderate l. Board your pets elsewhere. Your friend in Christ,

Very flexible to fit my schedule and takes all my animals including cats. Let me drop my dogs of in town and on our way back we called and they let us pick them up at the boarders on Sunday evening. Also if you pick up in town and schedule correctly you can get your dog a haircut and wash as they groom also. Still use them for all my boarding and grooming needs.

I used Muddy Paws kennel for the first time in January. My dog was well taken care of and tired from all the exercise and fun. Mike is very accommodating for drop off and pick up’s. I will use this kennel in the future.

Mike is great with my dogs! He's very accommodating, especially when I have a last minute drop off. My dogs love going there and being around other dogs rather than being cooped up in the house.

Price was very reasonable for our two dogs. Owner showed us around the facility. Updated us on the furbabies while we were away. Dogs had a good time there. Will definitely go there again!

Need place that your Furbabies are treated like family. Muddy Paws is the place for boarding! I have been using Muddy Paws for over five years. I know my three Furbabies are cared for. Oh if you need grooming Muddy Paws has wonderful place in Alpena to pamper your Furbabies! Outstanding are both services!

We left our Zoey for 21 days. Erica was wonderful! We got daily updates and pictures showing how she was doing. When we picked her up, Zoey had been bathed, her nails clipped and had a beautiful flower her collar. It was so comforting to know our baby had such great care while we were on vacation!

Janet is such a caring person! She did such a great job grooming my two Huskies, who are very fluffy! Not only that, but she was more then happy to let me hang out with her while she groomed my dogs, which I loved. My older dog can get a bit nervous when being groomed, so this was a nice benefit. Janet also boards dogs and has a beautiful facility, with ample fencing and safety measures in place, including smoke alarms that alert her even inside the house. She also has some covered kennels for those dogs that like to climb. I highly recommend her!

This place is the best!!! My small shih tzu stayed here (boarded) for 5 days because our vacation hotel couldn't take dogs. He had the best time!!! I would call this more of a "doggie hotel". They treated him as part of the family, gave regular updates, and helped him not be nervous about his first time being boarded. I also appreciated that they required all the vacccines to be boarded. We weren't sure if he would want to leave!! If I could, I would give 10 stars.

It has always been difficult for me to board my dog anywhere. I heard about Canine Care and how well Erica & staff treats the dogs. Recently boarded my dog here for the first time, for a few nights, and I could not have been happier with the experience. What made it extra special was daily pictures texted to me of my dog looking like he was having a good time on walks, playing with (or sniffing) other dogs, etc.. That made me feel so good seeing that he was just fine & I had no reason to worry. That helped me enjoy myself at the activity I was attending. They obviously are very caring about dogs and put a lot of time & effort into making sure the dogs & their humans are comfortable.

First off... I called the business before using the kennel serviceand left a message. Erika called me back within a reasonable amount of time. She answered all my questions, suggested "stuff", etc. Then... After my decision to send my dog there I called her again... left message. Again, she responded within a reasonable time. And also texted me with additional info I asked about. She was more than willing to accommodate a site visit prior to making decision. Plus sent pics prior to. Once we decided on a time to board, we all met and she was very patient with my dog as he "nosed" around the area. During the time my buddy was in Erika's care I called and asked--How's he doing... She said all is good, and also suggested to call anytime. She even texted me a couple pics of him--- I ran into issues getting back into town on the day I selected... I called and explained. She was understanding and able to keep my dog another day. During pick-up time she had EVERYTHING ready I initially brought with my dog. She grabbed Rocky from his kennel and he seemed fine. So, if we ever need a boarder next time we come to Alpena, I'm certain we will utilize her service. Thank you again.

Erica is great at what she does. We board our dog there once every few months. Also, Erica works with a local rescue to board shelter dogs until they can be adopted. We got our dog through this. Erica did a great job prepping our texas street dog for adoption.

Canine Care was Great!! I learned so much in that time. It reinforced our strengths, especially Tank's my Shepard rottie pup. I would go again and can email or tex her for any info. The owner was very knowledgeable and sweet.

Simply the best place we've gone to. Reasonalby priced, very responsive and willing to do whatever needs to be done. We had a Siberian Husky that was taken great care of for several days while we were out of town. Then, on the last day of pickup they even fit in a bath at the last minute. I'm sure he was a handfull but he's in great shape and very happy to be back home. Thank you!

I still go to Canine Care By Janet. 2019 I board and have my Golden groomed there too! Janet is excellent! Her place is clean and well cared for. She loves each and every animal she works with.

Great grooming and tender loving care when we leave our Dachshunds with Janet. They are always happy and smell good when we pick them up.

They took such good care of our Thomas while we were away! I love that each heated/air conditioned kennel has its own fenced run and that the doggos can come and go as they please and they're not waiting on someone to let them out for bathroom or run time.

My boys came home happy and healthy. I had to be admitted to the hospital, and Michelle was so kind with working things out

I LOVE Old Orchard Kennels! I think my dog wants to send me on trips just so he can go there. The staff is great, clean facility and you can tell that they love animals and the animals love them right back. I would recommend them to anyone that loves their fur babies.

Clean,sanitary,well kept kennels. Kept comfortably warm in winter and air conditioned in summer. Dogs very well taken care of and solid inspections regularly. Nice size kennels where dogs have free range to secured sectioned off outdoor spaces and not cramped in tight confined areas. Facility owners interact with everyone's dogs just like they were their own.

I’ve trusted this place with my precious babies for two years now! Everything is always freshly cleaned. Heat or A/C to keep them cozy during their stay. Love this place!

I was really nervous about leaving our 11 week old puppy with anyone, let alone boarding her. I could not find anyone to watch her, my family was going to be out of town, and we could not take her with us. Two vets recommended Animal Inn, so we went with it. Monique was amazing, she put our fears to rest. Zoey loved her and she loved Zoey. I would recommend her to anyone needing to board their pet for any reason. She really was amazing.

I’ve been using Animal Inn for a couple years to board Bella. Monique is so good with her. Bella can’t wait to go inside when I drop her off. I’ve used the grooming services also and have been very satisfied.

I had 2 cats there when we left town. For $15 a cat per night they were well fed and smelled nice. I'm in awe, I can't bath either one. The owner is nice and took the time to answer any questions I had. I would very highly recommend this boarder for any owner.

We have used many different kennels over the years. There have been good, just okay and terrible ones. You always worry that your pet is going to be locked up in a cage for the duration of your absence and given the most basic amount of attention. These guys are different. They send you pictures of your dog playing with other dogs and give them snuggles and attention. They love what they do and you can tell. They have even helped us give our dog medication. Can't say enough good things about them.

Ed and Laura are the best! Just like sending the Kids to camp! We have 3 dogs and they all absolutely loved it here. A home away from home for sure. They had a blast with the other dogs. Thank you so very much.

Laura and Ed were so nice and friendly, and even tho Hannah really didn't really want to be there, I felt she was in good hands. They were able to let her out often, and she apparently "hung out" with their dogs. Much better there than at home alone when we have to be away. Thanks for giving me peace of mind!

These are the best people EVER! They not only care about the fur babies ,they care about the human's . I highly recommend this place no matter if it's for a few hours, Over night or weekend getaway they will take great car of your fur babies!

I only board my dogs when really necessary but I feel good taking them to Riverside Pet Lodge. Michelle takes great care of them and the place is very clean. The dogs have their own run outside and don't have to be with other dogs. My dogs are small so I feel they're safer that way.

The owner, Michelle, takes very good care of the pets that are boarded with her. The kennels are clean and Michelle is quick to respond to phone calls or texts. My dog is old and has some health issues. When I have to go out of town, I always know she is in good hands with Michelle.

We always use riverside pet lodge whenever we are in town and need somewhere to keep our pet for a little while. They always try to accommodate a good drop off or pick up time with us and they even offer a military discount. We will continue to book through them for the foreseeable future.

It was our 1st time taking our husky here, and the owner was great and made us feel comfortable and treated our little girl like she was her own. We will definitely be taking her back there when needed and will not feel any anxiety or have any concerns. Thanks for watching over our little girl.

The staff here is very friendly . I took my 11 year old golden retriever in my one year old Weimaraner here when I was vacationing in Oscoda. The kennel very clean and there were a lot of dogs there. When we picked up our dogs they washed their dog beds for us !! I would highly recommend this place.
