We recently had our 5 1/2 month old puppy participate in doggy daycare. He had so much fun! Our puppy is FULL of energy and in just 1 visit we noticed a difference in him. Not only does he get the socialization skills he needs, he is also learning new commands and as a puppy parent, we are learning how to deal with certain puppy/dog behaviors. Veronica and her staff truly care about the service they provide! I highly recommend you give Canine Resort a try! I know I'm glad we did!! 🐶🐕

I have two older dogs that were not socialized very well and that’s my fault. Veronica and her staff have taken the time to slowly introduce my dogs and have patiently listened to my concerns. My dogs have stayed for daycare twice now and I couldn’t be happier. The facility is clean and staff is friendly. They send photos and updates too which is nice. Looking forward to using their boarding the next time we go out of town.

Veronica's boarding services are wonderful! She treats our fur babies as if they are her own and her love for our pups gives me peace of mind when leaving them in her care. She faithfully sends me text updates as well as pictures of my two Doodles having a great time running and playing with fellow lodgers. Additionally, she faithfully checks in the next day after pick-up to see how they are doing. As long as she is available, I will leave them with no other!

Kimber has been in daycare and has been kenneled at Canine Resort since our retirement move to Colonial Beach last October. We cant say enough about the love and care she receives at Canine Resort with Ms. Veronica and her staff. We appreciate all the love, time and attention that they give to our girl. Kimber is always happy to see Ms. Veronica her dog friends at daycare. Our pup is loved and cared for at Canine Resort the same way we love and care for her at home in a neat and clean and most importantly a loving environment.

Milo had a wonderful stay at Canine Resort. Veronica made sure he was comfortable and treated him just like her was her own. I definitely would use Canine Resort again!

I had the pleasure of using them for daycare while traveling to the area for work. I toured the facility and found it clean, well kept and it showed allot of attention to detail and safety. They were very through in vetting my dog and her shot records. Veronica even gave me an update on my dog during the day and set photos of her playing. I recommend them to anyone in the Montross area. They also have a qualified dog trainer on site.

Our 2 little guys recently spent 6 days at Canine Resort. My husband and I were worried, as we had never boarded them before. Veronica and her staff were wonderful, sending daily photos and updates. Canine Resort gets our highest rating!

Best experience ever!!! I boarded my dog, more like my baby, for a week while I went out of state….he was sooooo well taken care of!!! They treated him like he was their own! I can not recommend them enough, hands down the best!!!!

Jessica was very friendly and flexible with drop off and pick up, made sure he was comfortable since he’s never been boarded before, and gave our dog such great care while we were on vacation, he seemed so happy!

After moving to the area about a month ago, I was nervous about finding someone to watch my dog while I was at work. After meeting Tawnya and having her take care of my baby every day, I realized I should have never been nervous. Tawnya goes above and beyond for the dog and for me. I know Luna is happy to see her and she is extremely well taken care of while I am not home. Tawnya has even helped me get acclimated to the area and will do some light housekeeping chores if she has time as an added bonus during her pet visits. She has brought my baby new toys and treats. We have used On-Guard Professional Pet sitting to watch our 5 year old beagle and our cat for several vacations that lasted over seven days. I have to say that Tawnya is very professional, courteous, and trustworthy. Tawyna (On Guard Pet Sitting) is the greatest pet sitter we've ever had. She goes above and beyond to make you feel at ease while you're away and she seriously spoils your pets. She took care of our three cats and bunny while we went out of town and they were seriously happy campers. We got a lot of awesome pictures of all our pets throughout out trip and very thorough feedback on everyone's well being. Tawnya even brought a bunch of toys for my pets to play with (one of which is still my cat's fav of all time). It's also worth noting that she's really knowledgeable on pet health and warning signs to look out for which helps put you at ease even more. Tawnya's awesome and if we still lived in the Colonial Beach area we'd be calling her all the time to take care of our pets.

I have nothing but good things to say about Tawnya from On-Guard. My wife and I are gone at work all day and she takes all the stress out of leaving our dogs at home. Tawnya is very reliable and loves our fur babies like they are her own. We even get updates and pictures every day to let us know how everything is going. I highly recommend On-Guard for anything from drop-ins to overnight stays.

This being the first time leaving our kitties with a professional pet sitter, we could not have been more happy with the service that Tawnya provided! She goes above and beyond - she took great care of our fur babies, took care of little things around the house that I forgot about and even brought toys for our puppy who had traveled with us. I think our kitties were madder that we came home than that we left! That's a first! I couldn't recommend her more!

Finding OnGuard Petsitting/Tawny has been a Godsend! She has done a wonderful job winning over my neurotic rat terrier (Ellie) and spastic shih- tzu mix (Fritz)! She spends a lot of time with them - walking, playing, brushing, etc. If it's raining or too cold, she still finds something to occupy their time and drain some of their energy. Fritz and Ellie look forward to her visits and so do their Mom! Tawny does extra little caring things, like leaving the front porch light on, dog treats on Valentine's Day and those few dirty dishes always seem to be clean after her visit! Tawny was a blessing when I had a recent family illness - she went above and beyond the call of duty. She is more than a petsitter -- she truly cares and I am grateful to have found her!

We have been using Tawny before she opened OnGuard for pet sitting for a couple of years and she is great. Before we had found out our cat was diabetic as he was having trouble with increased hunger and using his litter to much and being lazy. Tawny had come to us with concerns and we went to the vet and found out our cat was diabetic like Tawny suspected. She not only was able to figure it out for us, but she also knows how to get his blood from his ear and knows how to give him the shot. We also have two dogs and she is very close to our pets like they are hers. She always goes beyond what is expected of her. She also knows that Chesters shots need to be 12hours apart and has no problems coming early and late for Chester. She will always be the only other person beside my husband and I to care for our pets. She is the best.

Tawnya, is great with both of my dogs. They are on strict portion controls and have to be separated when feed. She took care of everything for me for the weekend while I was gone. I got updates and pictures from her. Totally stress free.
