Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

From her promptness to schedule a pre-sit call to her truly thorough tidying of our house, Stella was an amazing housesitter from start to finish!! She read all the info we put together ahead of time, and asked for clarification on just a few things which made us confident that the pup and the house were in good shape :) Stella was really gracious when we admitted to not having a coffee pot, and handling things calmly when there was an incident with street parking. Maybe most importantly though our dog Luke was calm when we came home. I think if future sitters are clear in their expectations around frequency of communication/photos and the dogs needs then Stella is the perfect person to exceed your expectations!
Jasmine is a five-star sitter. She is everything you want in a sitter when you go away and leave your beloved pet and home. She is reliable, communicative, respectful, and flexible. We had no worries about our dog or home while we were away, and will be having Jasmine sit for us again soon. Our home was immaculate when we got home, and our dog was obviously well-cared-for. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful human.
Our dog loved Angela, as did we! She was friendly, efficient, handled our large, happy bernadoodle effectively and with love...we could not have asked for a better dog sitter and would be happy to have her back.
Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
Joanna and David were absolutely perfect!!!! This was my first actual time using a sitter and they went above and beyond what I expected. I have a 1 year old Bully Breed that I adopted 6 weeks ago, so if you know dogs you know what they had to deal with :)) They sent pics daily and kept me updated. We were not able to meet before I left but they were nice enough to stay to meet me when I returned. My house was cleaner than when I left, all bedding and towels washed. Charley, my dog, was happy to see me for a minute when I got home but immediately went back to play with David, so I am thinking she had a blast while I was gone. I am totally sold with this process after having Joanna and David here. If you have the chance to book them for your trip, you will not be sorry. I am hoping to use them again when they return to Florida.
Jamie was a lifesaver! Our confirmed sitter canceled just greater than 2 weeks out from our trip, and after just a short chat I could tell that she was ideal for our home and dogs. When we had a Covid exposure just before leaving for our trip Jamie didn't miss a beat. We did a hand-off of the dogs and home outdoors to keep her safe. We unfortunately had another exposure just before returning home, so were bummed that we couldn't spend some time with Jamie before she left us. Jamie is dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling. She is an excellent communicator and sent us the cutest pictures of our dogs. We knew Teddy and Bella were in very capable hands while we were away. Jamie left our house very clean and with all the linens washed. She even left a plant and thank you card, so thoughtful! We would love to have Jamie back at any time to sit for us. I give her the highest recommendation!
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.
Alia is a wonderful furbaby sitter and also a wonderful person. It is our privilege to have her for the 3rd time. She keeps us informed, our dogs love her, and she even cooked dinner and left it for us. The house was perfect when she left.
Lori and Joe took great care of our two dogs and tow cats while we were gone. Our plans changed and we actually asked if they could come a day before we had originally planned to leave and they said no problem! They even stayed over on the night we got home so that we could meet them which was very nice! Lori was very good with communication before the house sit and also during the time they were here. She let us they had arrived safely and then sent us a short text or pictures every day of the animals. The house looked cleaner than when we left it when we got home! Lori and Joe were great house sitters and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

This is one place that makes my living in Brussels as a single expat with a four legged friend an easy ride! Working long days and having to travel for work often I can always leave Dave the Dogg with Anny and I know everything will be absolutely fine. He's treated with all the love and care! Thank you <3
I have been taking my little dog Spinelli to Anny for grooming for several months now and she is absolutely fantastic. He seems so happy to see her each time and always comes home looking and smelling great. She is so sweet and loving to the dogs and gives good advise for care. 110% recommended
Well, Pet Squad is literally the second home of our little buddy, Kupi. So it is kind of difficult to write anything without superlatives… In short, as practicing puppy parents, we all know how challenging can be to leave your little one in someone else’s hands while you go to work or on holiday. This is not the case with Pet Squad BXL. You should see Kupi’s propelling tail anytime we step in the house, he has his best time ever at Anny’s. ❤️😊
My dog Cleo loves to go there at Anny's and Sebastian's! she goes there weekly and sometimes we also do boarding, we cannot be happier! we get regular videos and update and they are super nice and available for any questions! super recommended ❤️
I’m so incredibly happy to have found Anny! She is AMAZING! Our dog was shipped to us and clearly hadn’t been groomed in some time. I handed over a dog I barely recognized who was covered in mats and dreadlocks and came back with this beautiful, yummy smelling, happy pup. Anny is a gem!
We have a 12 years old Schipperke - Cappie. We are very confident with the Pet Squad team when we need to leave him for boarding (hotel) or even for a bath / full grooming! Everyone is very kind and take so good care of him! We have been clients for quite some time already and I would not change that for nothing! 😍 Thanks Pet Squad Team!
We brought our 15 year old Labrador, Aslan, here for the first pet hotel stay in his life. The team here are absolutely incredible. They showed so much love care and attention to Aslan. They were also super cooperative, communicative, generous and kind. Because of his age Aslan was very sensitive and fragile, and we had nobody that could care for him. It was such a relief that he received such good care, that it was as if they knew him his whole life. The prices might be higher than other places, but they are 100% justified because your pet cannot get better care! We wish you all the best in the future and send you our thanks!
Anny she is the best, I don't trust anyone else to leave my princess, she is very attentive and very affectionate with the dogs, you can see that she really loves her job
Anny is wonderful, and my dogs are always very happy being here. She sends regular updates, and you can tell she has a big heart for animals. The cute shop also has all the basics you need for your furry companions. Happy pups, happy me. 😊 …
They are simply the best!!! Super attentive to my dog and all she needs. It’s all-inclusive service from dog-sitting, dog-boarding, to grooming, food and other advice, to sending videos of my dog playing and enjoying herself. It is my go-to place when I leave for work or go on holidays. My dog runs with a joy to get to pet squad and I never worry when she’s there. Also, Anny is one if the kindest people I’ve met, so really, highly recommended 😊
Urban dogs is a wonderful place. The staff is caring and always available to help you and your dog. I have sent my dog to their daycare once and she absolutely loved it. She wants to go back there every time I take her out on a walk and we sometimes we go by just to say hi. They have also given me some very useful tips to overcome a small behavioural issue my dog had. It worked wonders. I would definitely recommend this place
I had the pleasure of completing three 1-hour sessions with Urban Dogs and their fantastic canine behaviorist, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. The approach was highly professional, insightful, and tailored to my dog's specific needs. My dog, Wanaka, displayed reactive behaviors that needed addressing, and the behaviorist provided practical, effective strategies that have already made a noticeable difference. Their methods emphasized positive reinforcement, consistency, and understanding canine behavior on a deeper level. Not only did I learn how to manage my dog’s behavior better, but I also gained valuable tools to communicate more effectively with him and reinforce good habits. The sessions were structured, clear, and personalized, making them incredibly impactful. I would highly recommend Urban Dogs to anyone looking for professional guidance in improving their dog's behavior. The results have been outstanding, and I’m grateful for the care and expertise provided!
I am incredibly grateful for the ladies at Urban Dogs, they are kind, patient, loving, and truly deeply care about all the dogs. My dog walks us here every day and sits at the door if they are closed because she loves going there. On top of taking great care of my baby, they were understanding and accommodating when I had to make a last minute change, providing me peace of mind when things became hectic and I needed help. Throughout the day they send pictures and videos which are an absolute moment of joy every time! Thank you for providing my baby a second home.
Excellent professionals, as dog trainers, daycare and grooming. They are taking care of and playing with the dogs all day. From energetic to calm ones. All the personnel are very kind, reliable, and generous with a smile. This is the place where you can have peace of mind to leave your dogs during a busy day, week, or working day with full trust. I did so for a week and will indeed repeat.
Our dog has joined several group training sessions and a trial daycare. Alexia is very kind and patient. She cared and supported our nervous dog, shared photos and movies with us to let us know how our dog was doing during the trial. We will happily come back again.
Urban Dogs is an amazing place for any dog owner looking for training classes, daycare, or grooming! The staff is incredibly friendly and truly passionate about dogs. I highly recommend it!
Alex was great with our dog. She was very mindful and attentive to our worries. After a 1:1 meeting (we walked outside in Bois de la Cambre), she gave us a complete protocol tailored to our dog's needs so we can train him out of his "bad habits". 100% recommend UrbanDogs!
Heart melting and caring dog kindergarten where my dog is greatly taken care of. Whenever I travel my dog is enjoying fun times with his dog friends at Urban Dogs – Bruxelles. Thank you Alexia and team for your excellent support!
My dog was soo happy there at Urban Dogs, when I picked him up he was relaxed and once he got home he passed out of tiredness! A tired dog is a happy dog 😁 He socialised a lot, played and had fun. I received loads of videos and pictured (very high quality) throughout the day. The girl that I met was super kind and sweet. Highly reccomend this place and Kuro will go there again!
Alexia is a wonderful professional with great insight! We have consulted with her for some behavioural issues after trying a few solutions, and her expertise has been instrumental for us in seeing a change in our dog's behaviour. Highly recommend.
I left my dog with Luna and she really did take good care of him! She is attentive and took her time to bring him for walks, spend time with him and feed him according to my instructions. She is definitely my go-to for any time I need to leave my beloved furry friend! Totally recommended 👍
She took care of my parrot and did amazing job.very friendly, all the time communicating ,sending videos :)) very satisfied.Going to come back to her in future.
Very good service, very friendly, Thank you Luna !
Unprofessional and rude. Don’t trust them with your pets.
Parfait 💯 …
I'm so happy
Cozy home dog sitting
How do we get in touch? No phone number or website🥴 …
Luna is a trustworthy person, who is passionate about animals and knows them very well (she is studying to become a veterinary assistant). She took care of my labrador several times, especially when he was sick: she was perfect and it was really very reassuring to be able to entrust your dog to someone so caring and competent. She is reliable, friendly and generous. I highly recommend it.
Very disappointed!!! Good reception on the phone by a young person (doing not speak French but English) Lots of good will but unable to satisfy my request (catsetting chat 11/21 to 12/19 - I have to undergo an operation), she contacted a colleague to find a solution. There I received a terse text message from my contact informing me that the person contacted already had too much work with his other clients. And they left me there!!! So very disappointing 😏😏😏
We have entrusted our cat to Buddy Doggy several times. We are very satisfied with their service and flexibility. Everything went very well, we recommend them without hesitation!
I use Buddy Doggy to walk my dog twice a week. Very satisfied with their services I recommend to any dog owner.
My dog, Dolly, has been with her twice now, and she absolutely loves it. I was a bit nervous at first, but Madame Cocker kept me in the loop the entire time, sending updates, pics, and videos throughout the day, so I knew Dolly was having the best time. The pick-up and drop-off service is super convenient—she comes right to my door to collect Dolly and brings her back tired and happy. It’s such a relief to know Dolly is in such caring hands while I’m at work. I’m seriously considering making it a weekly thing because Dolly loves it so much, and it’s such peace of mind for me. Couldn’t recommend Madame Cocker more!
Claire took care of my girls while I was on holiday. I was honestly impressed with her conscientiousness and precision — every day I received a report about them complete with pictures. Both of them warmed up to her very quickly (as the photo of my very relaxed kitty shows…) and I came back to two happy girls. Highly recommended!
Madame Cocker is not only a good dog walker but a good behavioralist and trainer. Since my dog walks with her she improved her behavior on the leash (pulling) and with other dogs (more social). Totally recommend
Great cat sitting service! Claire looked after our three cats. She was very attentive to their needs. One of them was new to the household and she helped to integrated him. 100% recommended!
Claire is a very reliable person. She takes excellent care of our dog who loves going on the bus with her and having walks in the forest. Thank you.
Absolutely wonderful. Madame Cocker understood our needs and quickly understood the behavioral issues with our two puppies and that has made such a difference to them and us. She is caring and trustworthy and our puppies respond to her. Strongly recommend her services.
My dog adopted Claire instantly. She is a super reliable dog walker but foremost a great dog trainer. She has been of great help and support with very friendly and clear communication. I recommend her highly (secretly hoping no one will steal her 😉) …
Mdm C. has groomed my dog three times now and I can really say only good things about her and her approach. I appreciate she makes Toby feel comfortable to a point he’s excited to see her 😂. Thank you for your service 😊 …
Madame Cocker is taking care perfeclty of my 3 years old frenchie! She understands her needs, has the patience needed and takes care of her with a lot of love and care!
We hired Claire's services for our cat. It was a very good experience, Claire is very professional and does not hesitate to send many photos/videos during her visits. We highly recommend!
Our best friend Fluffy who we got in 2022. The cat is wonderful. The only big trouble - she had FIP half a year we got her. But we managed.
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided by your kennel. The puppy I received from you has been suffering from ear mites since the day I brought it home, and its feces have consistently contained worms. This level of neglect and lack of care is unacceptable. Given these health issues, it is evident that both the puppy and its mother are being kept in poor living conditions. This is extremely concerning and suggests a lack of proper care and hygiene in your facility. I urge you to address these issues immediately and take the necessary steps to ensure the health and well-being of the animals in your care.
I really liked the experience I had with you and with the pet taken from you. I recommend with confidence! Very polite and caring♥️
We bought a Yorkshire puppy 1 year ago (650 euro). And she becomes much longer (40cm back length) and bigger, now 6.5 kilo. The vet says she is not fat, just big. She is double size of our neighbor’s Yorkshire, and when we walk on the street, people say she is a mix of Yorkshire and some other breed. I sent email to the shop about her size and the shop Replies that her size is normal for a Yorkshire. We love her a lot even she is not pedigree. But my suggestion is that, adopt a dog in refugee.
I would like to urge anyone who is reading through these reviews to really think about what they are getting themselves into when gettign a dog from here. I got a French Bulldog In my case the puppy had Giardia and cryptosporidium which are contagious parasites for which the symptoms were already there the moment we came home. When we figured out the things he had we wrote an email asking if they are aware if other puppies had the same thing because naturally, as these are spread easily if this puppy had it there is a chance the others ones did to as it is spread through the water and fecies. The puppies there shares the bowls they ate from. He was pooping blood, would not eat. In the first 2 weeks of having the puppy we visited the vet every day for tests, medication and check up because everyday something new would come up that we could not identify ourselves. The puppy also had 1 testicle dropped which means that there is more risky surgery involved down the line. As I am reading through the reviews, the owenrs of this establishment normally say ''write us an emai'' which is the first thing we did but we received no reply so here is a review instead. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because this dog is the most adorable creature that I have ever seen. In the end all the stress is worth it, but that is if the dog survives and if you have enough patience and time to constanly observe him and go to the vet, not to mention the financial burden. Prepare to pay much more than the dog itself, even though the price might be 900 or whatever you have to consider that if something is wrong you will have to pay 50 euros minimum for each visit. At the moment he is happy and we would not give him for anything but it has trully been one of the most stressful things not knowing if the puppy is going to survive the night because of the things and diseases he had gained while being under owership of this industry. Do not get the dog from here if you are easily stressed or do not have the patience to go through medical treatments and vet visits every day. Edit: obviously someone didn’t like my comment and tried removing it, in hopes I wouldn’t care enough to post it again,so there is that.
Later edit, reply to owner: Thank you for your answer! For the vet, maybe I just caught him on a bad day. As I said, he put him under antibiotics for 2 weeks so he was indeed sick. One question, if my puppy comes from a local small breeder, how come his passport in Hungarian and issued by a Hungarian vet? If indeed he is local, I'd be interested to know more because I'm curious where he comes from, I always regretted not knowing his parents... My puppy is fine now, and he's amazing, and for that, I thank you! When I choose my puppy, I went there just to have a look, with no intent to buy in a dog supermarket... But one of them conquered me and took him home 2 hours later. He's an amazing dog and I'm so happy to have found him, but this place where I got him... Well, never again. For several reasons: - As many others, I was lied to about his age. He was around 10-11 weeks old according to 2 vets that I saw, his Hungarian passport said 4 months old. - He was sick and no one told me about it. He stayed sick for 2 weeks, under antibiotics. The redness around his eyes was an obvious sign (not for me, being inexperienced) - The vet that I saw, first on their emergency vet list, was so rude and mean. When I said that I find him not very active for a puppy and that I think he was sick, his response was, "some people are never happy". Turns out he was indeed sick, and he confirmed that everyone knew the puppies were sick when I suggested that maybe we should inform the shop to check on the other puppies that were next to me. He just laughed and said, "oh they know". To sum up, I was lucky to have found an amazing dog that had no behavioral issues, that is more or less healthy now (he's a 2 year old Golden Retriever), but most of the other people I've met that got their dog from then were not as lucky as I was. Please, go to a responsible family breeder that only breeds one type of dog and raises puppies in their home, or to a shelter. Don't condone this kind of animal supermarket like I did.
Update: Although according to the warranty certificate, the seller is obliged to show the dog's parents, these sellers refuse to comply with their own certificate and refuse to provide any information about the dog's parents and their origin. In an exchange of emails with them, they said that the guarantee certificate is given just because they are obliged by law, but in reality they are not able to comply with the guarantee offered. My conclusion is that they offer an invalid warranty certificate. I am going to file an official complaint against them. Complaints for breach of warranty can be made here: https://meldpunt.belgie.be. I bought a German Pinscher 10 days ago. When I realized that I should be careful, we were already at the cash register signing the adoption papers and my son already had the dog in his arms. Let's take them one at a time. 1. When we were in front of the puppy's cage, the seller omitted to tell me some details, such as the fact that the color of the dog is not recognized. Only after we arrived at the cash register and she made his passport, she wrote for the breed: "Pinscher X" and told me, as an insignificant detail, that the color is not recognized, that's why there was an "X". Well, then why are you selling it as a German Pinscher? Why didn't you tell me from the beginning that it is not recognized? 2. When she started to do the papers, she also told us that one of the dog's testicles has not descended and probably it will descend or not, but anyway "it doesn't matter because we have to castrate him anyway". When I was in front of the cage and I asked her for details about the puppy, she omitted to tell me that too. At home, I saw in the adoption papers that it was written that considering that the dog does not have a testicle, I have the right to a discount. The seller failed again to tell me that too, but she checked that option as if a discount had been applied. 3. The dog had an intermittent tremor. The seller told me it was because of stress. He still has it now, after 10 days. 4. Only when I got home I noticed that in the documents I had signed it was written somewhere that the dog's parents are present and the seller have the obligation to show them to me if I request. Obviously, the seller forgot to tell me this too, she just shoved the paper under my nose for me to sign. But this will not stay like this, I will return and request to see the dog's parents. 5. Only now do the problems begin. Just 3 days after we adopted him, he became very week, the shaking increased, he started vomiting. In about an hour I saw that his condition was getting worse and I ran with him to the nearest emergency veterinary office. His stomach was inflamed and swollen, he was in a state of shock and they sent us to an emergency clinic where they also had a hospital. After a night spent there, they sent us to the veterinary faculty in Liege, with little chance of survival, the dog had pneumonia as well. Fortunately in Liege they managed to save him. At first I thought he had swallowed something that hurt him. They did x-rays, ultrasounds, CT and blood tests and luckily there was nothing in his stomach. When he vomited at home, I had checked and there was no foreign object. I hadn't even taken him out of the house. We managed to save him after a lot of stress, lost days running from Brussels to Liege. We are waiting for the medical report to understand more, but it is certain that he came with low immunity and a precarious state of health. I paid 550 Euros for adoption and then spent almost 2000 Euros on medical bills. In the end, we are happy we saved a dog and we are already very attached to him. I am afraid, however, that he is very fragile and not very resistant to diseases, even though he is part of a fairly resistant dog breed.
I bought an Italian Greyhound there and I am very happy about it. My dog came with traceability on the passport that allowed me to later on verify the breeder and visit my dog’s parents, which was very nice. The place is indeed a supermarket, whilst I am sure all laws are respected, I wish for all those animals to spend the least amount of time in such small enclosed space, with no natural sunlight and fresh air. Service in the store was very friendly and competent, the young lady guided me all along the purchase for a good hour despite the shop was packed with people. On a more general note, it’s surprising that in Belgium shops are allowed to sell dogs without pedigree, and it is something to take into account if you plan puppies as most people (depending where you live) will turn you away. On the positive side, prices are a fraction of pedigree’d dogs, which is fair!
Please don't buy from here. Google puppy mills and how to find reputable breeders and the puppy checklist - things you should check before buying. If you can't see the mother it's a puppy mill so don't buy. Be aware that shops like this are illegal in many countries , eg UK, for a good reason... Just not yet in Belgium.
We had a rather traumatic experience with this shop. We bought a puppy and he died only 9 nine days after the purchase. He spent 5 of his last days hospitalized. The puppy was clearly ill when we bought it. The vet even told us that the age on his passport was certainly not true. His limbs didn’t seem as developed as for a puppy that age. After several months of back and forth with the admin staff at this shop, we managed to get full reimbursement for the price of the puppy, but only because we told them that we were ready to look for other people in the same situation and file a class action. Needless to say that the 650 euro incurred in veterinary care (5 days of hospitalization) were not reimbursed. We have since adopted another puppy from an actual breeder in Belgium and everything is going well, but live in constant fear thinking that the same could happen to us again. We are literally traumatized by the experience with Dog and Cat Co. Thus our advice is to avoid this place. Be patient and adopt your puppy from a breeder or from a refuge.
