Bethway consistently takes such great care of my dog who’s stayed there 4+ times in the last year. I know she’s safe, comfortable and well taken care of while I am away. I trust them fully with caring for my dog.

My two dogs attended a board and train boot camp run by coaching4paws held at Bethway kennels. The facility is clean, well maintained and provides multiple areas for dogs to experience different training challenges.

Duke and Laney absolutely love it at Bethway kennels! The staff is super friendly and takes care of my pups like their own. Definitely stress free while on vacation knowing my dogs stay at BK!

Bethway is simply a wonderful place for our dogs and cat. Ann Marie and her team are incredibly thoughtful, sensitive to each dogs needs and vigilant about dog safety and well being. We have two dogs that have special needs and were really worried about leaving them anywhere over the years. Bethway put us completely at ease. They understand what each dog and what each dog owner needs. They keep a meticulously clean kennel as well. We've been taking our dogs to the kennel for 5 years and continue to do so even after moving to Boston 2 years ago! We love and trust Ann-Marie and Bethway so much that we drive 2 hours from Boston to Bethany to leave our dogs (and cat) whenever we have a trip that lasts more than a few days. It gives us so much peace of mind to know that they are well cared for. It's also affordable compared to local kennels in Boston so it's also a good value for us. We can't speak highly enough of Ann-Marie, her staff and Bethway. It is simply the best kennel and care we've ever had and we would never take our animals anywhere else. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Josh and his team are amazing with our two dogs Mona and Sparky. They are both rescues with difficult behaviors. Josh was the only dog-walker that was willing to take on the challenge and help us to walk our pups. After one year we can’t be more happy with the teams service.

I am so happy I found Woodbridge Pet Sitting when I moved to the area. My energetic Labrador greets Joshua or another staff member at the front door with wags an bounces - everyone else he barks at until he sees you! Woodbridge Pet Sitting has been caring for our pets (and house) for the past 10 years. They are extremely reliable and go above and beyond (including driving to our house at 4 am to meet the fire department when a faulty smoke detector set off a false alarm). We had 2 senior cats with special needs and a cockatiel, given very good care by WBPS. After those beloved pets passed, WBPS has been visiting our 2 cats since their kitten hood whenever we are away. Our house is isolated and gets a lot of snow and ice, WBPS always comes thru for us. We never have to worry when we are on vacation. Wood Bridge Pet Sitting is the best!

My dog has been only with me since he was a puppy. I went to Best Friends and spoke to the man at the desk. He assured me they have experience with one person dogs. I left for New Hampshire with a measure of anxiety .....but returned 5 days later to find a bathed and relatively calm dog. Before I left I Made another reservation for November. I highly recommend them.

This place is great we use them every year when we take are vacations he always comes back happy and he’s always well taken care of when he’s in there care. We love Best Friends! The staff is so friendly and they love our Lola. I trust them to take good care of her when we are away on vacation. I love that I can check in on the web cams and see Lola playing happily with the other dogs, knowing she will be tired out and sleep comfortably. I would definitely add the go home bath. You get a late check out and your dog will come home clean and smelling great!

Shannon is wonderful! She treats our dog like he is her own. She not only gives him the cutest haircut but she consistently communicates with us about his grooming.

I am so thankful we have found a new place to board our dog, Wilson. I love Sarah's Pet Sitting for taking care of my fur babies when I am away. I am extremely fortunate that they have sitters who can take care of guinea pigs, because many pet sitting services do not. All of the sitters we've had have carefully followed the instructions for their care. The service request process is straightforward and rates are reasonable. I also love the reports that they send for each visit that generally includes pictures and a short video. And it's clear that the sitters who come to my house really love and care about animals. My piggies have gotten used to their sitters. And often come up to them looking for food and begging for treats. I know this is a service I can trust and will continue to use as long as I have piggies and live in Connecticut!

From dog walking to training Sarah's is top notch. No one wants to need someone else take care of their pets, but Sarah's is the only service I trust. My silly rescue pup loves his walker and they have built a great bond. With their help I am also making huge strides in training my guy with positive means only. I recommend them to anyone.

They are the best. They take the time to get to know your pets. They then report back and send pictures after every visit and include updates of what they did during their visit (empty litter box, filled their treat ball etc.). You schedule each visit within a 2 hour window, so your pets get to eat at the same time they are used to eating. Great easy to use app to update pet profiles, request what you want done for each visit, and pay. I have tried other sitters (friends, neighbors etc) and never quite knew what was going on, or came hours late. I will never again use anyone else. If you want peace of mind while you are away, these are the folks!

Sarah's Pet Sitting provides a great service for those of us that can’t bring our pets on travels. After each service visit I got an update on how my dog was doing (eating, drinking, bathroom, general mood and behavior) and which activities took place. It was personalized, so I knew there was a lot of genuine interaction with my dog. And it included photos of my dog being his best self. Highly impressed, much relieved, and will use again.

When we got married, we were so thankful for Katelyn and the attention she gave our boys (who are never away from us for more than a few hours)! As a sitter myself, I absolutely love working for Sarah’s! I love every single client I work with, can’t tell you how much I love this job, and it’s the highlight of my day to be with everyone’s amazing fur-babies! I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them all sorts of love, affection, and good conversation! I know that this treatment towards pets goes for all of Sarah’s sitters too, which is why I am both a sitter and a client! The administration staff is supportive, professional, and caring for both pets and employees. As an adult with a wide experience of employment , a couple of degrees, and an array of hobbies, this is, hands down, the most enjoyable job I’ve ever had!

I’ve been using Sarah’s for almost 2yrs and I honestly can’t recommend them enough! Their staff is so sweet, the pet portal is super thorough and user friendly. They even send photos of your fur babies after every visit, which is my favorite part! I also really appreciate that, Sarah’s requires, you to meet the pet sitters in person prior to your first pet sitting. I had never used a pet sitting service so I was kinda worried about strangers watching my cats. But they have great vibes and really take care of your pets like they are their own. I absolutely adore The Barking Lot. The staff is super nice and they keep the facilities super clean. I have loved picking them up and hearing how much the staff loved my dogs. The last time I picked them up, two staff members made sure to give them all the hugs and kisses goodbye. It melted my heart! I’ve boarded my two dogs there twice now and I could tell they were well taken care of. Both of my dogs are rescues, but my littlest one has a lot of trust issues and has an extended process for meeting new people in the home. I was very worried when I did a trial run prior to boarding (which they require) that they weren’t going to pass the test. If it didn’t work out, I didn’t know what I was going to do. I truly believe the staff is so well trained and understanding that they passed because the staff made my dogs feel safe and welcomed. Once my dogs feel comfortable with you, they are complete love bugs and all they want is to love on you, cuddle you, and play. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they offer individual rooms for dogs that can’t handle being around all the other dogs and noises. And since my bigger dog is considered in a big dog group, and she’s not okay being away from my small dog, they wouldn’t be able to handle the separation plus new dogs. Like I said, my dogs are rescues and they can have a very hard time being sniffed and having other dogs in their personal bubble, especially if I’m not there with them. So not only did they get to stay together in their own private room, but they got to play with the staff in a secluded area away from the dog crowd. It’s extra touches and individual care that made their stay so comfortable and not stressful. The Barking Lot has a facebook page where they regularly put photos of your dogs up throughout the day. I could see the joy on their faces and some even with staff cuddling them. It calmed my nerves a lot while I was away. This is the first place I’ve ever boarded my dogs because I had never needed to before recently, and I’m so glad I picked them. I chose them because of the good reviews, and I can tell they are all well deserved. They will be my first choice any time I may need to travel for an extended period. We love the Barking Lot! Our little girl Ollie has the best time playing with her friends. The staff have always been kind and respectful and we feel confident dropping our baby off there. Since bringing Ollie, she has really come out of her shell. Ollie was a rescue and was a little shy at first. TBL has been patient and attentive and we couldn’t be happier!!!

These guys love my pup Little Theo as if her were family. I trust them as if they were the same, and am grateful I have them. And he Loves them and loves going! He never wants to go home and that says a lot. Their facility is immaculate and I would recommend them to anyone, and I do!

I have three goldens that literally start barking at the top of Sherman Ave because they are so excited to come to day care. This is the only sign I really need to know that they are well taken care of. I have gone to other places years ago which was not a good fit. I have never had a problem and if I have questions they message me back quickly. We have been a customer here for 6 years or so. My goldens and I give them 12 paws up!!

I bring my pup waffles a few times a week to burn off energy and get socialization, the staff is always incredibly friendly and answers any questions I have. They give updates on how his day was when I go to get him and what friends he played with. They even saved a baby tooth for me, the staff really cares about the dogs in their care and know what they are doing. I previously worked at a doggy day care where if the dogs were injured or got into tussles that were a little too rough they wouldn’t tell the owners, at the barking lot that is not the case. Waffles and one of his friends played a little too hard which they corrected and he had a little mark on his head, if they hadn’t told me I wouldn’t of even seen it, point being they are incredibly responsible and make sure all the dogs are happy and taken care of and keep the parents abreast to everything big or small ! I can’t recommend them enough and how transparent they are!

We've been bringing our dog (child) to The Barking Lot for just about a year now. This is her second favorite place to go (for day care or for overnight stays) other than a brewery. We refer to TBL as "school" and our pup loses her mind with excitement when she hears the word. When she goes to the vet or to get her nails trimmed, she will let you know she doesn't want to be there. When we get to TBL she can't wait to go inside and is immediately greeted by the friendly staff who always know her name and treat her like one of their own. I can't say enough good things about the facility, staff, and level of customer service and care. The daily photo updates on Facebook and Instagram get me through my separation anxiety when I see how much fun my dog is having and they have always been so helpful when we find our self in a bind and are running late. My dog loves it here and that is just about all that matters. There isn't much more you can say than that!

The staff at The Barking Lot is exceptional. The facility is warm and welcoming and it is Phoebe Rose's home away from home. Her sleepover was awesome and we are so lucky to have such great people take care of our baby. Thank you!!!!!!

Gina is the best! Extremely professional, conscientious, and caring. She is by far our favorite of the many cat sitters we have used over the years. Our cats love her, and we love getting updates from Gina about how they are doing when we are away. While it's never fun to leave our fur babies, it's much easier knowing that they are in such good hands. All of which is to say, we recommend Gina unreservedly. Just make sure to book in advance because her schedule gets busy, particularly around the holidays.

Gina has been helping to take care of my cats for almost 2 years now. She is super communicative and professional, she understands my anxiety in leaving my cats at home by themselves and she is always sending details, beautiful photos, and updates to make sure I know what is going on and don't worry while I'm away. I can't recommend New Haven Pet Sitting highly enough. Gina truly cares for pets as if they're her own. She meets them beforehand, treats them each as individuals, playing with them and cuddling, depending on their needs. I've had her come care for my two cats often this past year, and I've always had complete confidence that they're in the best hands. Last summer one of my cats became ill in my absence, and Gina took pictures and went to the ER and sat with him, conferencing with me and the vet while at the office as we decided what to do. She gave him his medication every few hours according to the doctor's specifications, and even had a friend come when she couldn't. I am tremendously grateful to have found her.

We love Paw Haven! I've been taking my pup here for over a year and I'm continuously impressed. The kind staff clearly care about all the pups and are looking out for them. Benny goes for camp a couple of days and week and I've boarded him on several occasions. He loves it and I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. They have an app to use for bookings and are overall great at communicating. 10/10 recommend!

Paw Haven has been a godsend for my high energy doggo. She walks in with excitement & walks out very tired. The staff is great! Friendly, kind, & always busting their butts to get the doggos out on time. You can really tell they love spending time with every pup! They give the best silly little updates. My chocolate lab mix “Edmond” and husky “Sissy” have been going to Paw Haven (dog daycare) for at least a year now. They love the staff and the other dogs and they come home tired & happy. The facility itself is huge and beautiful and the prices are on par with or less than any doggy daycare you’d find in the area (I’ve done my research, trust me). The staff does cute activities for holidays and PH also offers grooming and boarding services which I haven’t yet used but it’s a nice option to have. Some other things I like: the facility has cameras, there is a quick response time should you have any questions and the interview/orientation process was simple and straightforward. There really aren’t many cons, the only time there was any confusion/issues was several months back when more staff was being hired and a lot of people were in training all at once (which is understandable). No issues since that brief window of time. I really love this facility and know they take good care of my favorite people - my pups.

I’ve sent my dog here several times over the past two years and have always been pleased with the experience! The staff are all very kind and my dog seems so happy when I come to pick her up. The livestream webcams are a huge plus and I love being able to check in on her watch her play while I’m away. They also periodically send photo updates of your pup during their stay. I’m moving from the area which is unfortunate because I’ve yet to have another boarding experience that rivals Paw Haven!

Paw Haven is honestly a dream come true! Our dog has a lot of energy. He needs an environment where he can burn it off in a safe capacity. He pulls my arm off when we get out of the car in the parking lot because he’s so excited to walk through the door. He loves his social time and spends all day running around, instead of sitting at home waiting for us to return. Later when he gets home he sleeps from that moment on through the ENTIRE night. Tired dogs are happy dogs and this rings true over and over again. Not to mention that we love the friendly staff, we get to “check-in” periodically to see him playing with his friends through Paw Haven’s camera system, AND at the end of every day we get a handful of adorable photos! I tell my husband all the time, daycare at Paw Haven is worth every single cent!

An exceptionally bad experience! We are traveling to the area for the holiday and when I first called I was told that they can accept our dogs for daycare after I create an account, uploade vaccine records and book a meet and greet. We did all of that, called back and was told we need to upload records of a fecal test, so I had to call my Vet in Michigan and get them to send me lab test, which I did and uploaded to their account. I called back only to be told they had not sorted out their interview policy for this week and they actually aren't accepting new dogs for daycare! I spent almost an hour and a half running around to do what they asked for after two separate calls with two separate people only to be told they weren't fully organized with their holiday week policy! How is this a business? Obviously poor operations if the management can't communicate to the employees fielding calls.

Our pups love their time at Paw Haven! When we board them, we get them a Luxury Suite that they can stay in together, and it has Live Webcams that we can use to check in on them throughout the day. We love the report cards and photo updates at the end of each night, and love the optional add-ons we can purchase to spoil the pups a little extra while we’re away.

Love this place! I know I can trust them with my pup whenever I leave him here. He always comes home so tired from a long day of play! Plus they always send me a report card of how he did that day along with pictures!! They make my day. It’s nice that they always make sure to keep you updated. The website also has a camera in the playrooms so you can check on your fur baby when you miss them. Not only that but some rooms have a camera so you can see your baby after the playroom camera goes off for the night. Really saved me and my husband when we went on vacation. I always recommend this place to my friends. Pawhaven is AMAZING. Id trust them with my real children if they took them too 😂attaching an adorable pic they took of my pup 🥹

My puppy Bruno LOVE pawhaven!!! He is staying for the week in boarding and he is so so happy there! Every time he walks in, he immediately starts jumping and barking with excitement! Absolutely bring your dog here if you need day care and/or boarding!

The team was able to accommodate us on very short notice and demonstrated great compassion regarding our situation. I was given a tour of the facility, which was not the case at other locations I considered. They attentively listened to my concerns about my dog's leg, which had previously undergone surgery, and ensured that her food schedule and supplements were administered as instructed. I also appreciated receiving regular updates and photos whenever I reached out. Katie was fabulous, as well as the other two women at the front desk we encountered. Our rescue Roxy is very fearful and aggressive towards strangers. We rarely have company in our home to spare her the anxiety and to prevent guests from possibly being bitten. We were planning a family vacation down the road and weren’t certain if we would all be able to go. After many searches we decided to reach out to Paws pet resort to try out a playdate . We were waiting for that phone call every mom does not want to get from their child’s school. We held our breaths when the call came and to our surprise (and we were extremely surprised), our Roxy had the time of her life. She was such a happy girl. We’ve now booked her for our vacation week and added weekly play dates. Can’t thank Paws enough

We had to travel to SOUTHINGTON and needed a place to leave the fur babies for a few hours. This place was highly rated with great reviews and was professional and personable at the same time. They contacted us with a mid day report. They did with pics and a voicemail message. A happy dog is a tired dog and our two fur babies were pooped.

I would like to recommend Paws Pet resort for the wonderful job they did taking care of my Nutella. Her first time away from me since I had her 5 years ago. I had surgery and needed to stay overnight. This group put my worries at ease and treated her as if she were theirs. She was there 3 nights and enjoyed playtime and treats with all her caretakers. All 3 of them.Thank you so much. Your baby will be well cared for with this group. ❤️

Today was Luci’s first visit. She is 2 years old and very anxious around strangers. We are very impressed with the staff. They are all so pleasant and knowledgeable and caring. Luci spent a half day and got a 1 1/2 hour play session in the yard with other dogs her size! There are two staff in the yard with them watching out! This is great. Scheduled a full day next week. We think this will help Luci develop in important ways. Very pleased! 🐾

My pup was so happy to stay at Paws. I called them looking for a place to board my pup after not being able to find a pet sitter in my home. They were able to take Bailey practically last minute and allayed any anxiety I had about boarding her as Bailey is a very nervous dog. All staff were kind and welcoming.

Stella loves coming here! It has been consistently positive for her as she is in great spirits when I pick her up. I also love how the staff sends photos keeping us reassured that all is well. The 'report card' at the end of her stay, is unique and ❤ caring!

PetEx Pet Sitting was wonderful! My pets and home were well taken care of while I was away. I preferred Mary's services over others because of her personal dedication and one on one services. I no longer board my pets because of a history of them being ill for a week or so after being back home. My pets are always safer and at ease with staying home and utilizing pet sitting services. The last pet sitter I had moved out of state and I needed a new one quickly. Services that were very impersonal were irritating to me with online applications and the inability to meet all of their employees that may be entering my home and caring for my pets. Other reviews prompted me to contact PetEx so, thanks to those that also rated PetEx so highly. I understand why the reviews are great now and am confident that the next time I need pet sitting services, I will be using PetEx. Thank you Mary!!!! Mary took excellent care of our pets when we were out of town over the holidays. She was so great with our furry babies (2 cats and 2 dogs). They loved meeting her at the meet and greet, and she was clear about what we could expect. She was great about communicating with us before, during, and after our trip, and she sent us lots of pics of our buddies. We missed them a lot, so it was great to know they were in good hands. We will definitely call her again the next time we need a pet sitter.

Mary is wonderful! She did a combo board/train with my dog Marty for a full month while I was on vacation and I was so impressed with her training and care. Marty had never been away from me that long and it was difficult for him at first, and Mary was kind and patient while she trained and cared for him. I dropped off a very anxious, stubborn dog that was ruling my home, and I picked up a happy, calm, dog that listens. I’m so appreciative of Mary and what she has done for me and Marty and would highly recommend her services!

Will definitely book with Mary again! I never left my two Boston Terriers with anyone… well I did once years ago and came home to sick dogs! We booked a family vacation and I had to find someone to watch my fur babies. We booked a sitter to move into my home for 7 nights, we also booked a kennel that was highly reputable, but I just wasn’t feeling good about either. Then I saw Mary’s website and reached out to her . She came to my home to visit us and meet my dogs, went over all the paperwork and explained her methods. Mary is very professional, super nice and very sincere and definitely knows a lot about dog behavior and needs. She sent pics and updates daily and when we brought them home they were healthy and happy ! I highly recommend Mary and will be booking her again in the spring !

Mary is phenomenal with our German Shepherd and Pekingese mix. She has built such a strong rapport with both of them and can tell they really love her. Both of them get lots of playtime, walks, training, and quality time together with her. Feel much better leaving them at home while at work knowing she’s coming over to take care of them. I recently found myself needing to board my special needs dog so that I could travel to the west coast for my granddaughter's graduation from high school. Bree (my schnauzer) is a rescue that has some behavioral issues. She is very fearful and hasn't been out of my sight in four years so I wasn't sure how she would react in unfamiliar surroundings. After discussing this with Mary in our initial meeting we decided to do a trial for one night to see how she reacts. Well as it turns out she was fine! Mary has a way about her with dogs that put my concerns to rest. Bree stayed with Mary for almost two weeks during which Mary sent me pictures and texts to keep me updated on how Bree was doing. She provided my wife and I the peace of mind that we needed to enjoy out vacation. Thank you Mary for taking care of our baby! Looking forward to the next time.

Mary (PetEx) is a pet lover so loves being with and taking care of pets! We feel good about leaving our one year old black Lab mix, Otis, with her when we’re away rather than boarding him in a kennel where he’d spend at least 12 hours alone in a crate!! ☹️ Otis likes Mary (he thinks she’s a big toy 😂) and likes playing with the other dogs she watches when he’s there. (No more than 5 at a time, but most often less). We highly recommend Mary and PetEx!

Rich walked our dog for about a year while we lived in Hamden. He was great - friendly, reliable, flexible and our dog really loved him!

Erica has been caring for my pup Cleo for over two years now and is just the best. She's reliable, professional, and goes above and beyond to try and accommodate even last-minute requests. Erica is very attentive and always lets me know if something seems off with my dog (stomach issues, etc.). She also gives recommendations without being asked, which I appreciate given her extensive expertise. Cleo absolutely loves her too!

Erica is fantastic and a life saver! We were fortunate to recently adopt a 2 1/2 year old bulldog, Maisie. She had been in a shelter for over six months, so she is still a bit skittish around new people. Maisie has adjusted well in our home, but we had two long planned trips that we hadn't thought about, that's when Erica saved the day! She was able to come to our home and care for Maisie while we were away. Maisie loves her walks with Erica! Knowing Erica was taking good care of her reduced our anxiety about being away for Maisie.

My dogs have unique care requirements. Erica didn't miss a beat and took wonderful care of our two dogs. We will continue to use them for every vacation. Editing to update post. Erica continues to provide wonderful care for our two Jack Russells.

Erica did a fantastic job caring for our cats. The best part was being able to see photos and news of them on her Facebook page. Especially appreciated her being available on holidays and on short notice. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Erica is amazing and I’m so glad I found her! She takes such good care of our boy Baxter. We have had Bax there for day care and more recently for overnights and for the first time I am not worried about him while we are away! She posts pics and sends updates which we love and he gets so excited when we pull down the street. That is the ultimate test and compliment in my eyes. He truly loves being there. We would definitely recommend Erica and we are already repeat customers. There is no one else I trust to watch our boy more than her!!

Erica is a wonderful pet sitter! She takes excellent care of our two kitties, who hate to leave the house so Erica visits them in our home. One of our kitties is very social and the other is very shy, and Erica makes extra effort to connect with the shy kitty, being sure to leave treats and catnip where she will get them. She sends pictures (and sometimes video) of both kitties, and checks in regularly by text to let us know she’s been in and how the kitties are doing. Erica has been caring for our kitties for about a year and we feel totally at ease knowing they are under her care while we’re away. We are so glad to have found her!

This was the first time we ever left the care of our 3 cats to a “stranger”. Erica came over, met all of us, took notes, and was friendly, yet professional. Two of our cats require medication, one of which is medicated every 12 hours and is clever at hiding. This was no problem for Erica! Erica was great at keeping in touch with me over the week sending photos & updates. She also responded quickly to my texts with questions & changes. Upon return our home felt normal, as if we never left. Although there was some grumbling amongst the felines inquiring as to what I did with Erica! Cats! 😺

I'm so happy that we used Scratch 'N Sniff while we went away on vacation. Our dog has a lot of anxiety and taking him with us wasn't an option for this trip. Erica was super accommodating. She was able to make visits to our house so Rocky would be comfortable in his normal environment. She was able to give him his medication, which typically is difficult with him. We were given frequent updates and pictures to make sure we were at ease and knew he was doing well. She even brought in our mail and watered our flowers for us. We will definitely be using this pet service for any trips we take in the future.
