Monty had a wonderful stay with Simon and it was a very last minute booking as well so we really appreciated how accommodating he was. The location is doggy heaven, there are huge, secured gardens for them to run around in and a nice, large family home environment to stay in. All surrounded by lovely West Sussex countryside. Simon is very friendly and clearly very enthusiastic about giving your dog the best experience possible. Would definitely recommend and will be using again!

My two Golden Retrievers have stayed with Simon for day care a few times and always enjoyed playing with the other dogs and running around the amazing garden. Last night they very successfully completed their first overnight stay which I am so happy about, in particular as it's the first time one of them has settled without me! I will now be planning my holidays, thank you!

There is nowhere else we would rather leave our puppy for complete peace of mind whilst we go away. Simon is a very lovely man and it’s clear from the moment you meet him that he is a true Dog Whisperer. We recently felt incredibly guilty leaving our very clingy and fussy pup for our first holiday without her, but she was so pleased to see Simon when we arrived to drop her off, that the guilt and anxiety quickly fades away. Fantastic experience for our dog while we were away for a couple weeks! She loved the massive garden, daily walks, and Simon. In fact, she tried running back inside at pick up! The true test, is that our dog behaved completely normal upon arriving home. With other dog sitters, she's been lethargic, clingy, and obsessive in the weeks after her stay. With Simon, she was her happy self the entire time!

It was the first time we left our puppy to go away and we wanted to find a home type environment for him. From the initial communication with Simon to the time we were away they were outstanding, they are caring and professional and provide an excellent service in the most beautiful environment. They provide updates and our puppy came away happy and content, I would have no doubts in recommending them and look forward to using them again in the future.

We came to Chichester for a holiday and booked our 8 month old puppy in with Simon for a few days so we could have a few days out which weren't suitable for a puppy. From the moment we dropped her off, we knew she was in safe hands. We were sent photos and videos of Lola playing with the other dogs. They have a lovely big garden which is very secure and we know Lola had such a fun time there- she was so tired when we picked her up and slept from the moment we got back to our lodge right through the night. When we come back to Chichester, we will definitely be in touch to book Lola in again.

From the moment we arrived at Simon's house we felt at ease and knew it was the perfect place for our puppy Pepper. It was obvious as soon as we met Simon that he loves dogs and looking after them is a true passion. We were nervous to leave Pepper for the first time, but Simon reassured us and sent a video a little while after drop off showing her sniffing around the large garden. Leaving our puppy is always hard, but knowing how much Simon cares for her makes it easier. We will definitely be bringing her back for future visits. I cannot recommend Simon highly enough, and am so happy to have found somewhere for Pepper that feels safe and happy!

Came highly recommended and was not disappointed! After being let down by a family member, we needed to get our cocker spaniel looked after for 10 days whilst on holiday. A friend of mine gave me Simon’s number and with short notice he booked us straight in for a tester night. With video updates, Chase was having a brilliant time. Whilst on holiday, Simon stayed in touch letting us know how chase was getting on. Can’t thank him enough and will definitely be using him next time.

Simon was super quick to respond when I had to make an urgent trip. Sorted all out easily and quickly put me at ease to look after my bouncy Airedale. Will definitely use again for my next trip.

Travelled down from Hull to Chichester to attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed! Simon was very accommodating and friendly. Allowed us to visit the day before for a meet and greet, as well as allowing an early drop off. Ted and Barney were free to run around the lovely garden at their leisure. Received an update during the day, with both dogs looking super happy! Would certainly recommend and use again! Thanks again Chichester Dog Sitters!!

Fantastic service, friendly and professional people, Our Cocker Spaniel, Buddy, loves his visits and is always happy to stay. We feel very fortunate to have found Sarah and her team. Brilliant service and we have no hesitation to drop Buddy off.

Our pup had a wonderful stay with sarah from start to finish. After never using a dog sitter/boarder before we were hesitant to leave our boy for 9 nights but we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Sarah sent us regular updates throughout his stay and upon collecting him we can tell he was very well looked after! Would 100% recommend paws and relax, our boy is now exhausted from a week of walkies, playing and cuddles!

Dawn took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. She sent us regular updates and made sure before hand that our dog would get all the specialty care she needed and left our house very clean. Thank you!

We have not used a pet sitter before so was a little apprehensive, but we need not have worried as Dawn was wonderful! She was friendly, kept us up to date throughout our two week holiday and loved our dog as if she were her own and the house was just as we had left it. Dawn is a fantastic pet sitter. Our dog is very anxious but Dawn took the time to build a bond with her and we felt very comfortable leaving her whilst we were away. Dawns regular pupdates put our mind at rest that our little fur baby was in the best hands. 100% recommend!

My lovely but difficult dog was very happy when the lovely Dawn came to stay and look after her for a week at short notice. Dawn has a lot of knowledge of canine behaviour, and gave us some helpful tips on our return which we've since put into practice. I would happily ask Dawn to pet sit for us again without hesitation.

Dawn was tuned in to the dogs and looked comfortable and in control. They were relaxed on my return, the house was clean and tidy, and the dogs had been well looked after. If I need a dog sitter in the future I would certainly hope that Dawn has availability. Thank you.

This is an update to my earlier review in December 2023. As planned Dawn came to look after our large house and our young lively fox red Labrador for 6 weeks from the end of January to mid-March. She did a fabulous job. She was very attentive to Freddie's needs and knows her stuff when it comes to dog psychology! The house was looked after extremely well and it was left in excellent condition. She kept us regularly informed about developments and sent us lots of photos of Freddie while we were away. She was very responsive when we needed to contact her about things to do with the house. We felt very confident that she was able to take everything in her stride and that Freddie was being very well looked after. We came home to a very happy dog and everything all in order at home. What more could we ask for? We will certainly be happy to use Dawn again when we go away and have no reservations in recommending her to others. Thanks Dawn.

Dawn looked after my cat while I was on holiday and sent lots of photographs of her having cuddles and playing with him and it was so reassuring. I can highly recommend this service.

Our 2 dogs have stayed at Fairlands several times and have just come back from a longer stay, every time they come home happy and relaxed which is so lovely. Jackie and Janet are absolutely brilliant and care for our girls as though they are their own, I would recommend Fairlands for boarding or for daycare as the dogs have the best time!

I have taken my dogs to Fairlands on a few occasions now and I always know that I'm leaving them in good hands. This is the first time I have had to leave my boy there on his own and was a bit worried, but I needn't have as he came out very happy wagging his tail. Thankyou to Jacqui and Janet for looking after him so well.

I boarded my two dogs with the ladies at fairlands. I spent most of my week on holiday worrying about whether they were ok. I need not of worried, these ladies offered a 5 star half board holiday home for my pooches!! On collection, the dogs looked well cared for, fit and happy. I now know that when I go away for next time, betty and anita will be safe and sound while I will have a good rest! Thank you again Kim

Very nice people who run this place very accomadating as let us pick up our dog on the sunday when they are actually closed. Our dog is cared for very well at fairlands would recommend these kennels.

Our Labrador Buddy has just had his second stay here. It is great to watch him go off so happy with Jackie and Janet when we drop him off. Picking him up today, he was healthy, happy and although pleased to see us, he had clearly had a great time again! With this being a smaller kennels, the dogs get lots of attention! Back again in October - thanks both for your care and love when Buddy is with you!

The best kennels around, our cocker spaniel has been going for the last 2.5 years and doggie day care the last year and ongoing. Gets out of the car wagging his tail, gets back in wagging his tail and falls asleep. Jackie and Janet provide a wonderful caring service. This is the first time my chihuahua has been away from home (She’s nearly 6) she does have a few issues and can be very nervous ,but she came away a happy little dog ,I will no longer be worried about her having to stay in kennels and the ladies ,Jackie and Jean that looker after are wonderful,a great find 😀 …

Thank you so much for taking good care of Billy the Greyhound while we were on holiday in the area. Billy is a very anxious dog and we could tell from the moment you met him that you understood his needs. The kennel is lovely and peaceful, which is perfect for him. You also messaged to let us know he had settled in ok, which reassured us. We will definitely book Billy in again if we are in the area.

Highly recommend Fairlands, Janet and Jackie were lovely, our dog Buddy seemed to enjoy his stay, and happily went with Janet and looked like he wanted to stay there when we picked him up. They had a big secure field to run around in, which made us feel at ease, knowing he was safe and happy. Thank you so much .

Kate absolutely loves dogs and they absolutely love her! She is very knowledgeable about dog care and behaviour. She is very kind and caring to all the dogs she looks after and she treats them like members of her family. If dogs could choose, they would choose Kate!

There are few people I trust with my dogs more than Kate. She absolutely adores all dogs and they adore her. I know my girls will be really well looked after, get to socialise safely with other dogs and they come home tired and happy. Absolutely first class.

Kate, Nicky and Lara are fantastic! Our dogs Ted and Percy adore them and I am confident they look after them just as I do. When Kate dog sits she spoils them with lots of cuddles and I'm sure they are disappointed when we come home. Thank you so much ladies.

Another lovely holiday for my two boys at the cattery while I had to dash off due to a family emergency. I cannot fault the caring staff and calm and efficient routines. My cats came home chilled and happy. It is such a comfort to know they are safe and being loved.

You can trust these good people to look after your dog. I highly recommend them. My old dog used to stay with them, and now, when we have two new rescues, we only take them to Tharfield when we go away. Dogs come back happy and healthy.

The owners are lovely people and take care of my two dogs very well,we have a father and son duo who know exactly where they are going, soon as we pull onto the drive they cannot wait to get in there,it's a home from home. Whenever my husband and myself are going away without the dogs these are the only kennels I bring them to, they're well looked after and treated as family, the kennels are amazing.

Terrible experience. These people lack any kind of social and communication skills or care that you are leaving your loved pet for some time. I can't believe you aren't even allowed to walk in and see where she is staying and make sure that she is settled and to say goodbye. Upon arriving on both collection there was no hello how are you, or any interest in our cat's likes/dislikes/behaviour. Us: "Hello we are here to drop Delilah off" Girl: "Okay" - takes her Us: "Do you need anything else from us?" Girl: "No thats fine" Us: "Okay cool, are we able to come in and settle her?" Girl: "No sorry" Us: "Oh okay. alright thanks." Then we literally leave as it was like interacting with someone that didn't want us to be there. On collection I come in and the guy sat there doesn't even say anything until I speak first again. Me: "Hello, I'm here to pick up Delilah" Guy: "Okay" *waits while he prices things up* Guy: "That's £88" Me: "Okay thanks" No forthcoming with delilah is great etc etc just a simple transaction. The girl didn't even know if her carry case was hers which we specifically asked in an email to be left in with her so she could stay in it if she wanted too (which they replied saying fine) which makes me wonder if it was even in her area. Just an all round terrible experience where I've used many cattery's and this was so poor I had to leave a review. Not experienced anything so bad. I recommend not leaving your fur baby's here. You'd get more emotion and experience from interacting with a wall.

Absolutely brilliant place and the people who look after my two Rottweilers are kind and caring. My dogs both know where they are going once we mention “K” word and once they arrive know exactly where they need to go to and it’s like dripping your kids off at school. We do long stays and short stays which gives us flexibility with doing things we would struggle normally with a puppy.

Lovely family run boarding kennels. They really care about all the animals staying with them and are very knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble. The premises are spotlessly clean and very well organised. I am very happy boarding my two cats here.

My boy loves visiting Tharfield. This is a family run, small kennel where your pet is cared for like one of their own. He gets out of the car, sniffs, kniw where he is, even after months, and runs to the gate. Tharfield are apart of our dogs families life too. Highly recommended.

The Staff are such loving, caring people who looked after my dog so well. They made me feel confident about leaving my dog with them because they have a trial period to see if your dog will settle in with them.

Tharfield is the best kennels we have experienced. Run by experienced, professional and diligent staff who genuinely care for all animals who board and treat them like one of their own family. I cannot rate highly enough.

We own a rescue dog who has complex behaviour and needs. Flying home with him after residing in North America (where we took him on from a rescue centre) it was important that, when we resettled, we found a kennel who would listen to us and understand his needs and history. Thank goodness for Tharfield. The owners were and always are welcoming and willing to listen to the latest updates with regard to the dogs health and diet and we have used them for the last three years. The dog is relaxed and happy around the owners which is very rare as he can be fearful and defensive for the most part. We always book early as to kennel him elsewhere would be unthinkable and worrying. A good kennel which is family run in my opinion is worth every penny and I highly recommend Tharfield.

Caring, caring and caring again. You could not wish for a better place and person to entrust your treasured pet. My pets have been looked after and really loved by Lisa over several years and there is no kinder and more caring person in my mind. I have extremely high standards when it comes to animal care and Lisa is way up there. Thank you for being there.

We were so lucky to find Sue and her services for our wedding day, it allowed us to have our fur baby involved in our wedding day whilst relaxing knowing he was in safe hands after the ceremony. Sue took Cody for a long walk in the morning which meant he was very chilled for his big role as our ring bearer at our wedding, Sue then helped us with photos and took him back to house sit until the wedding party returned. Cody loved Sue and took to her instantly- we just wish we’d lived close by to use her more regularly. We would strongly recommend Pets Pals Chichester as our dog wedding chaperone :)

We are so happy to have found Sue and John. They were amazing looking after our two dogs and our cat during our holidays. It is not easy to go away for a week and leave our beloved animals and the house in the hands of somebody else but we trusted Sue right from the beginning. Oh Sue, we are so glad that we have found you! We had begun to think we couldn’t travel much anymore because of our 3 elderly cats, one of whom is blind and one deaf. They weren’t coping well with going in to a Cattery so someone visiting seemed like the only option. So, we decided to give Petpals Chichester a go. Sue, has been like a breath of fresh air, looking after our 3 precious boys so well & sending us reports and pictures after every visit. To know they are in such safe hands has really taken the stress out of travelling away; so much so that we have booked 3 trips later in the year and will be using Petpals for all of them. It really is so much kinder to leave cats in their own environment, so thank you so much Petpals!

We have been using Sue and Jon at Petpals Chichester for a month now and they are utterly fantastic. I was so anxious about getting a petsitter initially but I couldn't have left her in better hands. They are thorough, careful and considerate. My golden adores them and the visit reports I get after every visit are a highlight of my working day. They are so diligent and professional, before starting they took the time to meet my golden and go over everything in terms of her needs and personality with us. We have only used the petsitting and taxi services but I wouldn't think twice about using any of their other services should I need to.

Sue is an amazing dog walker who goes above and beyond for both our pet and us! We feel very lucky to have found Sue having moved to the area last year, the pressure was on to find someone who was reliable, caring and trustworthy - Sue is all of these and more. From the moment we met Sue, we could see her love for animals, caring nature, and professionalism. Our dog absolutely loves her and has a great time (he makes this very clear by his reaction to her arrival at our home with his wagging tail and bouncy welcome). Sue also updates us after every walk, with a photo and comment. Sue is very easy to contact and always quick to respond, she is very flexible to fit in with our busy lives and the online booking system makes it super easy to make or amend bookings. We are so pleased we found Petpals when we needed them. Right from the beginning Sue had been fantastic coming round to meet our dog, really getting to know him and taking the time to make sure she understood all our requirements. Our dog absolutely loves it when Sue comes to visit and she always takes the time to message a report after each of her visit which are personalised and lovely. We had such a positive experience with Pet Pals from the start! Sue was very quick to respond to our request, we arranged for her to meet the cats before the planned overnight stay, and Sue was so kind, gentle and friendly with them as well as being very professional and thorough with all the info I gave! Whist we were away I received updates and photos which was such a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Our cats Eric and Lucy were calm and happy in the photos and when we got home. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Sue was looking after them so well while we were away. We will definitely be using Pet Pals Chichester again and highly recommend others do too!

Sue has been brilliant with our dogs (who are not always easy) She has stayed over and done visits and walks a number of times now and been wonderful. The dogs love her and we feel really relaxed knowing she is there. She always sends up dates and photos too which we love!

What a delight to meet Sue and find someone locally to care for our 9 week old pups last weekend. Everything was spot on, from our first contact, thorough information shared, we were confident enough to know that Sue would care for the pups for a few hours tending to their individual needs and ongoing training in line with our own philosophy. A comprehensive update report while we were away from home with photos. Cannot recommend PetPals with Sue any more than Excellent service, Communication, professionalism and friendly, competent attitude on all levels. Well done Sue you have a super business model.

Cannot recommend them enough - it's the only place my Alaskan Malamute is ever happy to go and the staff all seem ecstatic every time she arrives. They're all so friendly that she forgets I exist the second we walk through the door. If she's happy, I'm happy.

We have used Amberly Boarding several times for our 1 year old golden retriever. He absolutely loves his time there! Runs in the door with a smile on his face. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

We've been sending our dog Rosie here for some time, for day care and overnight boarding. The staff are excellent, very friendly and clearly love dogs. Rosie is always very excited to go in and always comes home tired and happy. Prices are reasonable and they do other services eg grooming. I strongly recommend Amberley kennels.

My dachshund is very happy at Amberley Kennels. It’s in a lovely spot with plenty of exercising paddocks. All the staff are very caring and super friendly and I wouldn’t leave her anywhere else. Thank you Amberley. X

Just collected my dog from Amberley kennels having been there for two weeks. Once again he’s come back happy and tired. When I dropped him off, he went in happily without looking back!!! You can’t ask for more reassurance than that. The Amberley team are great and replied to my email just checking in. I can’t recommend Amberley highly enough. Thank you all!!

Alas we had to cancel our doggy daycare session so our puppy didn’t get the chance to enjoy here, but I wanted to review the fantastic customer service I experienced. Very helpful and friendly staff, which is a wonderful thing to experience.

I had my dog booked in for 9 nights, my wife was quoted £319. My wife asked me to pick the dog up once back from our holiday but at this point had not told me how much the invoice would be. I was charged £352. I Have tried calling on many occasions to discuss this but as usual it’s very difficult to speak to someone over the phone due to not answering calls. My dog has been sick a lot since being home and does not seem herself! She also came home smelling very bad! Very disappointed

Our dog loves going to these kennels. The staff are wonderful and make such a fuss of him, he is always happy and can’t wait to go in to see everyone. The facilities are exceptional and we know he is well looked after, fed well and gets lots of exercise and socialising. It really is a home from home environment. Thank you Amberley Kennels!

I don't normally let someone else look after my pups but I needed to as I was going to be away from them a lot longer than normal, so I contacted Jane. She said that she had the right person for my pups needs, especially my rescue staffie that has anxiety issues. When I got back, the pups were very calm and settled. I would certainly use Barking Mad Chichester again. Jane and her sitters are loving and caring towards their four-legged clients.

I wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else. Jane and Laura work tirelessly to ensure all of the dogs are treasured and loved as if they were at home. Whirley loves her Barking Mad holidays which means we can enjoy ours.
