David and Elynn were fabulous pet sitters and house sitters. Our dog and rabbit were well-taken care of, the house was left even cleaner than when they arrived! I would highly recommend David and Elynn, and would happily have them again! David and Elynn took excellent care of our dog Cosmo and our rabbit Oreo. They made sure they were happy, well-fed, and got exercise and fresh air! We were very happy to receive several photos of our furry friends while we were away. They took amazing care of the house and yard, and were very open with communication. If they were uncertain of anything or had a question, they were very open about reaching out! David and Ellyn were wonderful houseguests, who left the house even cleaner than they found it! I would highly recommend David and Elynn and their two adorable children. They are wonderful, respectful people who definitely love animals and will give your pets and home lots of care! Thank you!! :)

Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. Lea is seriously the best! We lucked out big time with her as our house sitter. She didn't just watch our home; she made it sparkle, and our dog Mezy? Well, he fell head over paws for her! Mezy's doesn't always warm up to new folks so easily but Lea had this magical charm that had him wagging his tail from day one. She showered him with cuddles and playtime, and we got daily photo updates that were basically cuteness overload. But Lea didn't stop at being the dog whisperer. Every nook and cranny was squeaky clean, and it felt like we were walking into a Pinterest-worthy home. Our plants thrived under her care too. Communication was a breeze with Lea. She kept us in the loop about everything and replied to our messages super quickly. It gave us peace of mind knowing she had everything under control. Mikayla was a superb house/dog sitter for us for one full week. This was our first experience with TH and we are very pleased. From the moment Rose arrived we knew she was the right sitter for our “kids”. Communication while we were away was great with pics of the dogs as well as text messages. Rose cared for our home and our “kids” with great care, she is very conscientious of your space. Joanna and David were absolutely perfect!!!! This was my first actual time using a sitter and they went above and beyond what I expected. I have a 1 year old Bully Breed that I adopted 6 weeks ago, so if you know dogs you know what they had to deal with :)) They sent pics daily and kept me updated. We were not able to meet before I left but they were nice enough to stay to meet me when I returned. My house was cleaner than when I left, all bedding and towels washed. Charley, my dog, was happy to see me for a minute when I got home but immediately went back to play with David, so I am thinking she had a blast while I was gone. I am totally sold with this process after having Joanna and David here. If you have the chance to book them for your trip, you will not be sorry. I am hoping to use them again when they return to Florida.

First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.

The two-leggeds and four-legged members of this household give Tess a 5-star rating! We think she's one of the best sitters you will find - highly communicative, friendly, competent, reliable, and great with pets. Tess was also flexible about start and end dates to accomodate possible winter weather complications. For this sit, Tess was able to bring along her mom, Cathy. Tess introduced me to Cathy during one of our Skype conversations prior to the sit. It was a bonus to have her here with Tess. Their travel to Marquette was complicated by weather. A fierce winter storm swept across Michigan just before the sit. It took Tess and Cathy two days to drive here but they arrived, as promised, in time for us to fly out early the next morning. We even had time for a lovely dinner together and to introduce them to the dogs and house. We left the next day and never had a moment's worry while Tess and Cathy were caring for our pets and home. Tess sent us regular updates and photos. The dogs immediately accepted them as great new additions to their pack of friends - even our cranky, old chihuahua, Nike! We returned to happy pets and a spotlessly clean home. We plan to invite Tess (and Cathy if available) to return for future sits. Thank you, Tess and Cathy!

Stephanie, Brian and baby Martin took fabulous care of our home and pets for two weeks. From the outset, communication was quick, smooth and friendly and it was clear that both Stephanie and Brian are reliable, professional and warm sitters who take all the various elements of a sit seriously. They kept us up to date with photos and messages, dealt proactively and competently with any unexpected issues that popped up, and most importantly showered our dogs and gerbils with attention and care throughout the time we were away. We returned to a spotlessly clean home (with thoughtful touches of fresh milk, bacon and bread waiting for us) and happy, settled pets. We have been taking our dogs Bella and Bodhi to Tamara and her team at Island Spaw and Kennels for over years, since we moved to PEI. They have been unbelievably supportive, generous, flexible and truly go out of their way to support people and their pets in the community. Cannot say enough about their kindness. I cannot say enough good things about Tamara and her team at Island Spaw. We did one over night, and was so impressed we booked another 2 nights for the following weekend for our two dogs (chocolate lab 12, sheppard boxer 4). Tamara asked about their routines and showed me around and I felt totally comfortable leaving my fur babies behind in her care. The dog's room had a chandelier, a TV and their own doggy door to a huge fenced in backyard. We got photos and videos and regular updates. Tamara is a very experienced dog handler and was mindful of separation anxiety- as our Sheppard boxer was only recently rescued 3 weeks prior. They came home smelling like blueberries and I think the experience has brought them closer together. I wish we could take Island Spa back to Ottawa with us!!
THE BEST KENNEL BY FAR!! Tamara and her team at Island Spaw and Kennels is nothing short of AMAZING! Highly recommend for any pet needs whether it be boarding or grooming. I had one happy pup who was taken care of extremely well and even got picture and video updates during his stay. Cannot recommend this place enough ♥️
Thank you Tamara for the Spaw day for Gibson and Ginger. Also for noticing Gibson might need some treatment. Not only did you help me locate a vet, you also brought him there to be looked at. Our dogs came out at the end of the day clean and fresh. When I read the invoice, I giggled to know they received blueberry facials. I've never even had a facial before hahaha! Thank you again. We will definitely be back!!

We have boarded dogs at this kennel for years. We have boarded a very old dog. That old dog was given excellent, kind, gentle care. We have also boarded a puppy who was also given exactly the care he needed. He is grown now and is always happy to go there. He goes in with tail wagging. He goes to both Barb and Lloyd for pets. He is a happy dog when I pick him up. I would recommend this kennel to anyone needing a dog to be cared for in a home. The owners are knowledgeable and caring.
We left our dog here for a 10 day trip. When she couldn't eat her food due to a tumor in her mouth, Barb hand cooked fish that she was more than willing to eat. We were even given some of the fish to take home when we picked her up since she was so willing to eat it over regular food. We are very grateful for the care and dedication by Barb to accommodate our dog and would recommend this dog kennel to anyone else looking for one.
I used Just like home dog boarding three times, but will never return. After the first time I didn’t feel totally comfortable and didn’t plan to return, but found that after the stay my dog seemed more social with other dogs, so I decided to go back. The second visit went fine and she seemed to have enjoyed it. Sadly the third visit was a terrible experience. When I picked my dog up after a long weekend, she was walking on three legs. The dog boarding owners said she likes to jump a lot and she just hurt her paw a little but it’s fine, and said she’s just been looking for sympathy and lying around all day. They didn’t give details of what had happened or when. They keep the dogs in the house and showed me where they had her sleeping, which was on a high ledge with quite a precarious jump onto a box to get down, not the type of spot I would ever have her sleep. It was a long weekend, so I’m not sure if they were full and finding extra spots for dogs to sleep or if it’s a spot they usually use. There was clearly something seriously wrong so I took her to the vet. They found she had broken her toe below the joint. The end of the toe had to be removed, leaving just a stub, and the nail will never grow back. There was also an abrasion on the side of the toe. I called Just like home to tell them that she was seriously hurt and had required surgery which cost almost $500. They were very rude, saying: What are you accusing us of, we didn’t hurt her, she hurt herself, and if you think we’re paying we aren’t. I told them that all I was saying is that I left her in their care and when I returned she was badly injured, but actually I did feel they have some responsibility. At a minimum I suggested they should be refunding the boarding fee (that I had paid in advance). They refused saying the waiver I signed says they are not responsible for injuries. They even questioned the injury saying "I don't know your vet..." At no point was there even an apology. I know accidents can happen, but I feel like the environment there was more risky than it should have been and I was very disappointed by both their response to the injury and their attitude around it. I will not be returning.
I've takem my dogs here multiple times. Never had a bad experience. They are good people and always show that they care about my dogs. This is the only place I'll leave my dogs.
Although the owners clearly care about the pets that they take care of it was unfortunately not a good experience for my partner and I. We travel often and saw the good reviews online. After picking up our Bernese mountain dog and golden retriever we noticed a deep gouge in the top of our Berneses head and a rash on his stomach (same rash was on our golden) took the Berny to the vet the very next day and the vet explained he either a) got his head stuck under a fence or b) got bitten by a much larger dog & that it couldn't have been our golden because his jaw wasn't wide enough for the bite. She explained it must have happened earlier in the days we dropped him off as black flies had gotten into his gouge and it was infected. Not really sure how no one noticed that he has the cut on his head because the smell was pungent and the kennels have 24 hour security cameras to monitor them. A $200 vet bill later & even though we explain what happened to the owners who assured us they were not with other dogs we were offered no apology. The rash on both of them was from black flies which is understandable as they were outside so it would be silly to be mad about that. However for the cut in our dogs head made the experience very disappointing.
Can't say enough great things about them. So kind and friendly. My golden retriever just lives it. We use it two or three times a year. Would not go anywhere else.
The only place we leave are two beagles at they are treated like family. Beautiful spot lots of space for all size of dogs.

If I could give Hairy Kids Inn 100 stars I would. We needed a place to send our pup while at a family reunion. Our dog was looked after so well , mentally stimulated, fed well ( I also got educated on how to improve his diet) He got daily exercise and had great pups to socialize with. This is the most magical place for your fur family to stay while you are away. It is not "dog boarding" in the traditional sense, but like a spa vacation for your pet!! In the past when I have had to board my dogs at a regular kennel, they always seem so relieved when I pick them up, and distressed when I drop them off. Even the better places that take your dog out through out the day, play with them, and do their best to make the kennels seem more home-like, were still just smarter versions of the dog pound to me. At Hairy Kids Inn, the dogs are in an environment which is like their own home. They are interacted with all day, given wonderful treats, and allowed to play in a fantastic yard set up with safety and fun in mind. Susan sent me pictures and videos throughout my dog's stay too, which really made me happy! After a week of being at the Hairy Kids Inn, Maggie looked as happy and healthy as when I dropped her off, in fact I think she was a little sad to go. :) Thank you Susan for making her feel at home while I was gone! This place is a gem!! If you are looking for your dog to be loved and pampered while you are away, this is the place!! I had zero guilt about being gone knowing the Maggie was having a blast!

The Hairy Kids Inn was an exceptional experience for both our pup and us. The dogs are not kennelled during their stay and are very well taken care of. They receive healthy organic treats, trips to the beach, free roam of the fenced in back yard and even a bath upon pickup! The owners provided us with plenty of updates every day which allowed us to have peace of mind on our vacation. We highly recommend the Hairy Kids Inn to anyone who is looking for top of the line boarding services for their pup! Our dog is already looking forward to returning for her next ‘doggy vacation’!
Shiva spent 10 glorious days at The Hairy Kids Inn under the care and support of Susan! Shiva loved it! And I loved it knowing that Shiva was totally well cared for and couldn’t be at a better place whilst we went to visit my daughter. It was home away from home for Shiva! Actually better than “home”! He had other dogs to rumble with, the great enclosed, natural playground of the Inn where he could come and go. Luxury relax time indoors when needed. Beach trips, special treats and bones!!! So much love and attention is given to all Hairy Kids when vacationing at the Inn!! Susan always posted pictures and sent regular updates on Shiva so I was never left wondering??? I knew he was in the “absolute best care”! As a matter of fact, I wasn’t sure he wanted to come home. Shiva learned a lot while in the care of Susan when there and now eats from a slow feeder, wears a beautiful harness and enjoys free running at the beach. Shiva has definitely found a home away from home!! Thank you so much Susan fir being such a loving caring person to our Hairy Kids!!
Our dog has been to Hairy Kids many times and once for 10 days. It is definitely his home away from home! We do not ever worry when he is with Susan and Paul. He gets so much outdoor play time and he loves the friends he has met there. Susan and Paul go above and beyond to make sure he is safe and comfortable and they even gave him a Christmas present while he was visiting over the holidays. I 100% recommend Hairy Kids Inn if you are looking for a stress free place for your dog to stay and be loved like they are part of the family.

This place is amazing, and Paul and Susan are gems. Our dog has never been in a kennel, and we weren't willing to start while thousands of miles away. This is a home. We called it "puppy camp" because we knew she would have a ball playing with her new friends and have as great of a vacation as we were. We were right - she had a ball and got the best care!! Sadie was even taken to the beach for a swim. Our only problem is that we can't stop telling people about Susan and her business that she was born to run. She doesn't take all clients because she is about quality not quantity, so if you are able to book your hairy kid with her, feel blessed....we were!

The staff know and love our dogs. The dogs are always excited to go and seem very well tended to. The last time we had boarding, I was 20 minutes late for pick up and hey stayed open for me. They really are a great family owned business that cares about the people they are serving. Your pets will be in good hands!
We brought our 5-month-old YorkieX Puppy here for the day while we went to Cavendish Beach, and can I just tell you that you won’t find a nicer lady than Cindy-Lou. Facilities were great and she knows exactly what she’s doing. 16 dogs housed calmly and quietly - Not even a bark out of them, they were all so settled. Our little guy came home happy and tired! Would recommend!
Kozy Kennel staff and service is consistently great. Been getting my Duke groomed for years (and previously my Roscoe groomed there as well). Easy to schedule appointments online. Duke always looks great at pick up. Recommend grooming service at Kozy Kennel.
For 14 years I have been taking my miniature schnauzer to KOZY Kennels for grooming. Sue and her “crew” are experts in pet handling with lots of love, care, and grooming skill! The receptionist, Tammy, is also very helpful and pleasant. It is a great establishment.
Wonderful run area, grass trees and large enough for the dog to get a good outing. Large cozy kennels for dog, super clean and organized. All dogs are checked to ensure their vaccines are up to date. The place is large so that its not a deafening sound of barking when you enter, the doggies are peaceful...for the most part lol ...My dog appears to be in good spirit, not stressed, when I pick him up. He is on medication and they ensure it is administered properly. We feel confident with this facility when we go away, no worries for our dogs safety and wellbeing.
Kozy Kennel staff and service is wonderful. I'm boarded my 2 dogs there and just recently had my 14.5 year old cocker spaniel groomed there for the first time. I couldn't be happier....
