I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!

Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!

Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

Joe and Casey were very easy going and reliable. We organised the sit way in advance with a video chat and we had adequate communication leading up to the sit. We handed over the house and animals after a fairly swift explanation of everything. Being experienced sitters Joe and Casey didn't need us to over explain anything (hopefully they felt the same) and we could see very quickly that they were animal lovers. They asked us how much communication we needed whilst away and we said "no news is good news". So we received just the right amount of updates along with the most adorable photos and reassuring words about all the animals. It was clear that they quickly understood the character of each of the animals. We forgot to mention that Tipper likes to dig dirt beds around the garden which creates quite a mess and it was obvious that these were kept under control. The garden and pool were well cared for. We enjoyed a relaxing couple of weeks away knowing that the animals were being loved and the dogs definitely looked for Joe and Casey when we arrived home. Our pets, home and garden were well respected and cared for and we would not hesitate to invite Joe and Casey to sit for us again.

Once again Dede was the most perfect pup and house sitter you could ever hope to have the pleasure of using. She leaves our home cleaner than we left it and our pups so happy that they continue to search for her after she leaves. Dede handled an emergency situation with a false CO2 alarm which resulted in a visit from the fire department perfectly and we were so grateful! I’m sure most folks say the nicest things about their sitter, but honestly, if there were a “super star” status available then Denise would win the prize as sitter of the year! From the start, Denise was an excellent communicator. While we were still in the decision phase, Denise was always available to chat either by FaceTime, telephone or text. It was so easy to choose Denise; as you can see from her countless 5 star reviews, she truly is the only pet sitter you’d ever need and the one everyone hopes to have. Denise came to our house eager to meet us, our pets and the quirks of our house. Denise has an excellent sense of humor and immediately put us all at ease. Our pets took to her as if she was a long lost friend (even our finicky Siamese cat was loving on her from the start). While we were gone, our dog had a non-emergency health issue come up and just like that Denise was taking her to our vet, and administered the dog’s meds like a champion (Denise is also a nurse BTW). Additionally, Denise brought our pup to her scheduled groom appointments and even made future appointments for us to make our return home as seamless as possible. Denise was even above and beyond helpful to our neighbors and they appreciated her giving them access to our refrigerator when theirs broke down on Thanksgiving Eve! When we got home we were super impressed by how perfectly immaculate our house was! Most sitters leave the house clean, but Denise met and may have even exceeded our military standards of clean and orderly. Seriously, our house felt like we never left it. Everything was spotless, shinny and clean. She didn’t miss a beat!! Our pets were so happy to see us but honestly, I felt like our pup and kitty were disappointed when we walked in the door (I believe they were expecting to see Denise!). Haha. If you are ever fortunate enough to have Denise apply for any of your sits then I can’t recommend her enough. Seriously, you can stop reviewing applicants and just go with Denise. She was awesome in every sense of the word and I hope she’ll come back and stay with our pets again.

Joe was an excellent sitter and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, dealing with one of our pup’s surgery recovery, which was an unexpected circumstance just prior to our trip. Romina and Ignas took amazing care of our two dogs and home while we were away! One of our dogs, Beau, is extremely high energy and it takes a special person so make sure he gets enough mental and physical stimulation each day. Romina kept us in the loop of his trips to parks and outdoor excursions. She was very thoughtful and responsive during our time away. We are very picky about our dog sitters, and we chose them because they have been doing this for a long time and track your wants and needs carefully and follow through with utmost care and integrity. They offered to come the day before we left to meet Winnie so that we could rest in that she would trust them and connect to them. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and consideration given to our 10 year old Schnoodle, Zellie, during her stay with the Whitsunday Pet Resort. Linda was super helpful and alleviated our anxiety with her interest and kindness, giving us the opportunity to relax as we sailed around the Whitsunday Islands. Our dog did not stay at the pet resort. Making a booking was extremely bureaucratic and cumbersome. You need a laptop or tablet as the website is not user friendly for mobile phones. We attempted to visit the resort to inspect the premises as to whether it would be suitable for our dog. We had no success as the hours were inflexible and there was no latitude allowed by the owners. ( we were advised that this was due to Council regulations?) The website has appointment times for arrivals and departures but not for assessments. The website purports to care about your pet by stating that they understand how stressful separation can be for pet owners - how can one assess the premises?? There is no overnight rate for your pet although there is a daily rate. To overnight you must pay for 2 days. The owners argue that the daily rate can be achieved by a drop off between 8:00 - 9:50am and pick up 3:00 - 4:50pm. THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR MOST DAY TOURS ex Airlie Beach. The rules for the daily rate are explained in the FAQ’s which somewhat buried in the marketing dialogue. Considering that the pet resort is a 14km 15min drive from the Coral Sea Marina, one would wish to believe that the pet resort owners would be more proactive with tourism operators & flexible. The home page for the website states that the hours of operation are closed for the Easter Break - in August?. The phone answering service says to leave a message and a team member will be in touch. We suspect there is no admin team other than the husband & wife. This pet resort came highly recommend however, we found that the registration process and lack of availability to assess the environment for our dog was overly bureaucratic and extremely frustrating. Our dog had a great stay elsewhere, where the owners worked with us and our tourism requirements. .
We have used Whitsunday Pet Resort a number of times to care for our girl “Charm” Fantastic place to leave your dogs. Owners are very experienced handlers of high drive dogs.Always have piece of mind when we leave our girl there.
We are a vet and vet nurse travelling around Australia and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave our 2 big boys with Linda and John again. (I wish they had a resort in every state!) They are so professionally comprehensive and know their stuff! We have a ridgeback and a ridgeback cross who got lots of love and attention as well as some adorable photos. We would recommend WPR to anyone who wanted to know their pets were in capable hands

I have been using WPR for 11 years now and cannot fault them. They are very attentive to your fur baby's needs. My dog loves going to his resort and cannot wait to get out of the car every time we attend. On collection he is super shiny, healthy and happy. They will never put your fur baby into an unsafe environment and go above and beyond in their care and professionalism. I cannot recommend them enough. You get what you pay for, and WPR is fully experienced, accredited, registered and insured to enable you to confidently leave your pet in their very safe hands.

I would definitely recommend Whitsunday Pet Resort. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after our 2 dogs. We’ve got dogs that require extra attention (1 dog who is a Houdini and can escape any fence and 1 who is very very large and requires someone who understand the unique needs of a dog this size). We always feel completely comfortable leaving them at Whitsunday Pet Resort as we know that they have the knowledge and skill set necessary to care for our dogs. Dropping them off and picking them up is a breeze and they always come home smelling delightful after their bath! Our boys have been staying at Whitsunday Pet Resort for the last couple of years and their most recent visit was their longest and most eventful. Over their 5 week visit, cyclone Debbie hit the area. We were very worried about how our fur babies were coping but were amazed at how quickly John and Linda were posting updates on their website about the welfare of all the pets in their care (especially considering that they didn’t have any power or phone reception!). They really put us at ease knowing that our boys were being so well cared for and were oblivious to all that was going on around them. We will continue to always leave our beloved pets in John and Linda’s care when we go away knowing that they genuinely care for them as much as we do!

We recently left our 9 month old JRT puppy at Bowen Pet motel. Peter the owner was quick to respond to my phone call and after filling in a questionnaire was also quick to respond. Our puppy stayed 2 days and was well cared for, Peter was also happy to provide updates, we were able to provide our own food, toys and bedding. Our puppy had access to an enclosed dog play area a couple of times during the day. I have no hesitation in recommending Bowen Pet motel.
Had my 2 red cattle dogs stay at Bowen Pet Motel twice in the past 2 weeks, 4 nights a piece. Dogs were happy and healthy upon collection and both Peter and Joanne were a pleasure to deal with.
As the owner of High maintenance ex working dogs we have found Bowen Pet Motel to be Our Chosen carers for our beloved pets. We love the attention the staff provide to our dogs. Picked up our 3 girls on Friday from Joanne and Peter. A fantastic establishment with such love and care provided at more than reasonable prices. Our girls were happy and well adjusted and freshly washed upon collection. Thank you again for your care. We cannot recommend Bowen Pet Motel highly enough. The new owners have been so caring and attentive to our little cavoodle. During a recent family emergency they answered our call (outside of business hours) and took care of our pooch while we were out of town.
My dog has stayed in many kennels & does not suffer from separation anxiety. Out of 30 dogs ours was accused of barking all night. New owners were rude & inflexible. They were even rude to our friend when he dropped our dog off. Don’t return phone calls. Difficult from the start. The owners are not suited to be running a kennels as they don’t care. Do yourself a favour & go elsewhere.
Doris suffers separation anxiety big time but her month here has changed her into such a much calmer and even more happy and grateful dog. I've rebooked her for a few days in Jan 23 and will continue to use this pet motel for ever. Well done to the owners for all their care and great connection with their boarders. Such a great experience having our two little doggos at Bowen Pet Motel! The new owners are extremely accomodating, and the attention to detail and care they put into each of the pets, along with their other staff members, shows.
