Due to a family emergency, I had to leave the country earlier than I had planned, and needed a sitter to fill in the gap between my departure and another sitter. Michele responded within minutes of my posting the sit, and then we spoke and confirmed the sit within hours. Her husband, Israel, was coming from Mexico to France, while she and her kids were to come from Sweden. When Michele’s travel plans changed, and she wouldn’t be able to come with her children, she assured me that Israel would still come to look after the house and dogs. To do this, for a stay of only five days, he flew to Paris, and then to the south of France, where he rented a car and drove the rest of the way to my place. As I was already traveling, the previous sitters filled him in on the various things that needed to be tended to: caring for two dogs, tending to hens, watering 90 young olive trees daily, as well as other things. The place is big and it took me 3-4 weeks when I first moved in to figure out where things were and what to do. Israel mastered everything upon his arrival, sent me daily updates with photos of my two VERY happy dogs. In addition to all the upkeep, he managed to hike with the dogs daily. I arrived home to find everything perfectly maintained, two fit and and Israel’s guest house cleaner than it was when he arrived. Immaculate. I cannot even express my gratitude for to both Michele and Israel for such a sacrifice and commitment to do that for me. It was a very difficult time, as I was dealing with the loss of both my son and my mother. I did not worry for one second while my dogs and home were in Israel’s hands. Thank you both, so, so much. You’re welcome back anytime, with the entire family, even just for a visit, maybe just a well-deserved holiday, with no dog- or house- sitting!

Eliza was my first sitter after signing up on zeewoi.  I’m Soooo happy to have had her in my home watching over my dogs.  They were very well taken care of and she did everything I asked her to do with the dogs meals and medication. Plus she took excellent care of my home and plants.
If you are lucky enough to get Eliza to stay at your home, you will be so glad it was she who took care of things!

We could not have asked for a better house sitter than Myria!  She is kind, personable, organized, responsible communicative and more...She read all of our instructions before arriving and asked lots of questions about our pups to make sure she understood their personalities and schedules.  You can tell she truly is a dog lover.  Myria provided regular updates and we felt 100% confident leaving our dogs in her care.  We came back to a home that was spotless - you could hardly tell she had been here.  I'd highly recommend Myria as your next zeewoi!

Ryan was one of our best sitters we’ve had! Ryan is so lovely to chat with and we looked forward to meeting him before our trip. He was organized and communicated his plans clearly with us and was easy to communicate with while we were away. Our dog took to him immediately and so we knew we could relax while away. Our home was in great shape when we returned and it was nice to get a debrief from him as well. We’d love to have Ryan back anytime, and so would Steve (our dog)!

Joe was an excellent sitter and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, dealing with one of our pup’s surgery recovery, which was an unexpected circumstance just prior to our trip. Cyndi was fabulous. I'd describe her as the no fuss no muss dog sitter. While some dog sitters need guidance on every little detail, Cyndi was completely self-sufficient. She left the home in perfect shape and totally adored my pup. I'd gladly welcome her back anytime!

If you need a sitter don’t hesitate to pick Vanessa, I highly recommend her. She cared for our fur baby for two weeks and received the care and attention she needed. We came back to a very happy pup and clean home which is awesome after coming back from a long trip. I received texts and pictures of our dog while we were gone which gave us peace of mind. You could tell right from the start that she genuinely loves animals and will care for them as if they are hers. I will continue to use her as my pet sitter if she’s available. All I can say is she is a wonderful person!!

This was our first experience with TH and we are very pleased. From the moment Rose arrived we knew she was the right sitter for our “kids”. Communication while we were away was great with pics of the dogs as well as text messages. Rose cared for our home and our “kids” with great care, she is very conscientious of your space. Extremely pleased with the care she provided to our “kids” and our home. We have another trip planned in a couple of weeks and are happy Rose will be staying in our home again. Katrina and her family were amazing house sitters who took wonderful care of our dog. Our dog is reluctant to go on walks with new people, but the entire family pitched in and found ways to take her to the park. Her daughter developed a particularly close bond with our dog. Katrina communicated us frequently and we always felt reassured by her messages. We returned from our long trip to a spotless home and a beautiful cake in the fridge. What more could you want!

Jim sat for my extremely shy rescue pup and new kitten for two weeks -- my pup struggles with new people, and is very fearful of men in particular. And yet, Jim was more successful with her than any sitter I've ever had: I can't recommend him highly enough. He has wonderful patience, a calm energy, and is a great communicator. He consistently updated me with photos and videos of my sweet girls enjoying the world with him, taking my dog on hikes and adventures to her favorite streams. He went above and beyond both for her (in meeting her needs and taking the time to get to know her personality), and also in caring for my home. I returned to such a cozy environment, a repaired wood stove, an organized wood pile and an at-peace dog and cat. Choosing Jim as a sitter is ensuring that your pets and home are getting the best of care, and his actions exemplify his kindness, generosity and thought taken in consideration of others. I hope to have him return many times in the future; the experience was a privilege both for myself and my pets.
