Maryna was an excellent pet sitter and houseguest! Communicating with her was easy, and she always responded to my messages quickly. She was also incredibly self-sufficient! Moreover, Maryna graciously agreed to check on my neighbor's cat for a couple of days as well. My dog bonded with her quickly and was happy and healthy when I returned. The house was also spotless. I would happily have Maryna sit for me again!
Janet and Bob were great to our pups and our home! They were our first sitters so we weren’t really sure what we were getting into, but they made it an awesome experience! They are coming back to stay with our dogs again in August. Definitely trust them with your fur babies!! 🐾🐶
Lea is seriously the best! We lucked out big time with her as our house sitter. She didn't just watch our home; she made it sparkle, and our dog Mezy? Well, he fell head over paws for her! Mezy's doesn't always warm up to new folks so easily but Lea had this magical charm that had him wagging his tail from day one. She showered him with cuddles and playtime, and we got daily photo updates that were basically cuteness overload. But Lea didn't stop at being the dog whisperer. Every nook and cranny was squeaky clean, and it felt like we were walking into a Pinterest-worthy home. Our plants thrived under her care too. Communication was a breeze with Lea. She kept us in the loop about everything and replied to our messages super quickly. It gave us peace of mind knowing she had everything under control. Lea's not just a house sitter - her friendly, laid-back vibe made everything so easy. We can't thank her enough for taking such great care of Mezy and our home. We're definitely booking her for all our future adventures. If you want your pets to adore your house sitter and come back to a spotless home, Lea is the one to call. Thanks a million, Lea!
I’m sure most folks say the nicest things about their sitter, but honestly, if there were a “super star” status available then Denise would win the prize as sitter of the year! From the start, Denise was an excellent communicator. While we were still in the decision phase, Denise was always available to chat either by FaceTime, telephone or text. It was so easy to choose Denise; as you can see from her countless 5 star reviews, she truly is the only pet sitter you’d ever need and the one everyone hopes to have. Denise came to our house eager to meet us, our pets and the quirks of our house. Denise has an excellent sense of humor and immediately put us all at ease. Our pets took to her as if she was a long lost friend (even our finicky Siamese cat was loving on her from the start). While we were gone, our dog had a non-emergency health issue come up and just like that Denise was taking her to our vet, and administered the dog’s meds like a champion (Denise is also a nurse BTW). Additionally, Denise brought our pup to her scheduled groom appointments and even made future appointments for us to make our return home as seamless as possible. Denise was even above and beyond helpful to our neighbors and they appreciated her giving them access to our refrigerator when theirs broke down on Thanksgiving Eve! When we got home we were super impressed by how perfectly immaculate our house was! Most sitters leave the house clean, but Denise met and may have even exceeded our military standards of clean and orderly. Seriously, our house felt like we never left it. Everything was spotless, shinny and clean. She didn’t miss a beat!! Our pets were so happy to see us but honestly, I felt like our pup and kitty were disappointed when we walked in the door (I believe they were expecting to see Denise!). Haha. If you are ever fortunate enough to have Denise apply for any of your sits then I can’t recommend her enough. Seriously, you can stop reviewing applicants and just go with Denise. She was awesome in every sense of the word and I hope she’ll come back and stay with our pets again.
Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.
Joe arrived some days before I left, so I could show him some nice places in Switzerland and he had enough of time to learn all about the dogs and how to handle them. He is an amazing nice and an animal/natur loving person who took care of my dog with incredible affection when I was in vacation. I could really enjoy it, because I knew, everything is ok at home. He sent me picutres and I could see, how much fun they have together. He cooked for the dogs, mad a lot of nice hikes with them and huged them, when they need it - so he even got the trust from Artu (as a man really not easy). And not only that, he made woodruff punch for me and sowed my tomatoes and spoiled them with melt water. And he helped also the women which looked after the horses and helped her to going walk with them. Generelly he is super friendly, so everyone in the village likes him. He is considerate of your belongings and has handed the house back neatly. He is just the best. I'm so gratuful he was here. So, if you have a chance to get him as a sitter, take it. Your animals will be grateful to you and have a good time while you are on vacation. Joe, you're not just a dog sitter for me. You were so familiar to me from the first moment. We had a lot of fun and we already miss you sooooo much. I'm really looking forward to see you again in some monthes.
We were so happy with Lynda's care for our senior pup. Lynda was extremely accommodating with the key hand over situation we had considering our early flights out of Berlin. She was easy to coordinate with and made this part of the holiday very smooth. We could also tell Sesame was in the best care. We received updates and photos of Sesame on walks and getting cuddles. We know Sesame can be sassy sometimes but Lynda was great with her little attitudes and handled her with ease. It was also really heart warming to see that Lynda truly enjoyed her time with Sesame and created a strong bond with her. We love to know that our dog is loved and treated with the care we would give her if we were home. Both my partner and I were able to fully enjoy our holiday as we knew from updates that Sesame and Lynda were doing well. Our apartment was clean and tidy when we returned and the sheets had also been washed. We would definitely have Lynda back and would recommend her to anyone else looking for an experienced sitter to stay with your pet.
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.
Stephanie, Brian and baby Martin took fabulous care of our home and pets for two weeks. From the outset, communication was quick, smooth and friendly and it was clear that both Stephanie and Brian are reliable, professional and warm sitters who take all the various elements of a sit seriously. They kept us up to date with photos and messages, dealt proactively and competently with any unexpected issues that popped up, and most importantly showered our dogs and gerbils with attention and care throughout the time we were away. We returned to a spotlessly clean home (with thoughtful touches of fresh milk, bacon and bread waiting for us) and happy, settled pets. In short, we would recommend Stephanie and Brian to anyone looking for reliable, attentive and proactive sitters for their pets and home. We would be delighted to welcome them back for another sit, should they ever find themselves in the area again.
Ranji was a wonderful pet sitter for my dog Zoe and was very easy to communicate with and kept me informed. She took wonderful care of our condo and wouldn’t hesitate to have her in my new home in NJ if she wants to check out a new area.

Our 8 month old rescue puppy was presenting with reactive behavior towards other dogs so we decided to put him in the 30 day board and training and I’m extremely grateful to Pawsitive Experts for providing an incredible learning experience for both us and our pup! We wanted to understand our puppy’s behavior and Matthew was able to explain everything in a detailed manner! He was always eager to teach and was patient and kind every step of the way! He also provided pictures and updates on a consistent basis! I included one of the pictures he shared with us! The area that the pups stay in is very clean & organized. He even plays movies for the dogs! He goes above and beyond to making sure the dogs are comfortable and safe! Overall, I’d highly recommend the board and training! We learned so much about our puppy and it’s clear that Matthew cares about all the dogs and wants what’s best for our fur babies!
I highly recommend the advanced onboarding program at Pawsitive Experts! It’s amazing how they trained my reactive aggressive German Shepherd, their remarkable approach transformed my once-aggressive GSD fostering to a positive mindset through their positive methods. Matthew’s unwavering dedication and hard work has had a deeply impact on my dog’s behavior and overall well-being and to all family too. I’m just so grateful to have found Matthew and his team !!! Amazing results !!!
Matt took wonderful care of our 4 month old Daisy. She completed the two week board and train and came home with some core skills. He kept us updated daily with texts and photos. Now we are the ones who need training. The facility is clean and also serves as a dog boarding business too!. We highly recommend Matt and will most likely use his Quinn’s Inn for when we go on vacations. We definitely had a PAWSITIVE experience 🙂
Initially this business was great! Were prompt to respond and sent a fabulous trainer. We paid up front for a package of 6 classes. The trainer came for the first session and it was great. At the second session she said she had not been paid in sometime by the owner so couldn't train anymore until the situation was rectified. She was already at my house so I paid cash- because she was great! Since then I have called daily to attempt to get a new trainer or money back and NOTHING! Their business voicemail is now full and email doesn't work! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS OR GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!
Very disappointed in the lack of follow-up and customer service by the owner. Our issue wasour 10 year old dog was fearful of the new SUV and would not go near it yet alone get in. The trainer that came out (twice) was not able to work with our older, stubborn, 96 lb lab. She and I both contacted Matt as he might be more successful. Through various texting from October 16th, he scheduled to come out the 24th. The morning of the 24th he canceled due to a dental emergency. I totally could understand that. On the 25th I texted that I hoped he was able to get relief at the dentist. I also gave him 2 dates that week if he could come out as we we had to get our girl in the vehicle that weekend. I never heard back from him. I postponed writing this review waiting for a response. It was a waste of $125 for us as we never got even an hour training. I'm sure the trainer we had would be very good for pups or dogs motivated by treats alone but not for older, stubborn girls.
Highly recommended this program to anyone with new puppy to older dog that’s reactive and needs lots of attention and training. Matt the Owner of the company is so knowledgeable and truly cares so much about our 4 legged babies. He is sweet, caring and truly has your best interest at heart and making sure while your dog is staying with him for board and train or boarding, your dog will be loved, taken care of and mostly safe. His training style and also his weekly visits while your dog in board train really did help us. We saw huge improvements in our 3 year old rescue and even though the work is not over and now on us, we are more comfortable thanks to him and his training program. Anyone needing help, call and book a session. You won’t be disappointed. Our dog just came home today from his month and is settling in to a new routine. Check them out!!
I am so glad to have found Matthew and Pawsitive Experts! From the moment we did the evaluation, I knew he was the right fit for us, to teach both our puppy and us, and to find a place that we felt comfortable when we needed boarding. We have boarded with "Quinn's Inn" and our puppy has an absolute blast. Matthew sends regular picture and video updates. We were able to see the kennel facility and how clean and organized it all is. We are very eager and cant wait to start our training sessions once the summer cools off a bit and Matthew has the campfire companion program rolled out. Highly recommend this company for your boarding and training needs.
The experts at Pawsitive are absolutely amazing. They work closely with you to understand your needs and your animals' needs. They help to explain the mental state of the dog and how to understand those cues. The trainer (ours was Matthew)was very well educated and very flexible with our ever changing schedule. My favorite piece was how each week built on a specific behavior. It wasn't too much to manage each work. I really can't tell you how amazing the change has been in our dog and our life. I CAN WALK MY DOG WITH PRIDE! thanks Matthew for making that possible. 👍
Matthew was incredible. He helped teach me how to train my stray dog. He taught me how to manage integrating Luna into the house as I already had another dog. His knowledge and techniques are vast. Luna has gained confidence and really grown into a wonderful family pet. I can’t thank Matthew enough or recommend him enough!!
We paid this company for their services and they did not hold up their end of the agreement. The owner, Matthew Smolich (aka Matt Smalls) agreed to provide a refund for the sessions that were not completed and it has been 3 months and he still has not provided the refund. He keeps making up excuses like the bank is having IT problems. The reason we are promised a refund in the first place is because our trainer quit because she claimed Matthew Smolich was not paying her wages. Then our newly assigned trainer no called and no showed. Horrible company. The owner is responding to negative reviews here stating ‘during a dispute the funds are being held by the bank’. THE ONLY REASON A DISPUTE IS OPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BECAUE MATTHEW NEVER REFUNDED US. The dispute should have not had to have been opened in the first place. Additionally, the owner is now claiming we are harassing him. Sharing our personal experience with this company online is not harassment, it is freedom of speech. Absolutely zero threats have been made to the company or the owner. The owner has continued to ignore us and not provide a refund. Only now with writing a review and sharing our experience online has the owner contacted us with threats to sue us for defamation. Defamation is the act of intentionally lying to harm. We have told no lies. Our only intentions are to share our experience with this company. The only thing we request is the owner do the right thing and cooperate with the bank to refund the funds that we are owed for the 6/10 sessions that were not completed.
We recently moved to Arizona and have struggled to find someone we trust to take care of our dog and 2 cats. We found Tami and when she came for a site visit, the animals immiediatly took to her and I knew we had found the right person! She was so good with our pets while we were away. We got pics and updates 2x a day and I never worried that my fur babies were not in good hands. Thank you for your excellent care of our pets Tami, we will be hiring you again soon!!!
We love Tami and her services so much. She takes care of our 4 dogs and 2 cats whenever we go out of town. Recently, we took an international trip and it was great having peace of mind that our fur babies were safe in her care. I highly recommend her to anyone. Bonus, she sends daily updates and pictures!
I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Tami is, but I will try! We went on a family vacation and left our pups in the care of Tami. She was remarkable with her consistent communication. She sent twice daily text updates with pictures because she knew we were nervous about leaving our pups. In addition, her knowledge and love for pets is quite extensive. I felt at ease leaving my pups with her and plan on having her watch our babies anytime were out of town. It definitely helped my pups separation anxiety since they were able to remain in our home.
Tami is the most reliable pet sitter! I feel comfortable leaving our puppy with Tami knowing he will be played with and cared for. I also trust her to stay overnight in my home. She always sends pictures of our pup to let us know how he’s doing and regularly checks in with us when we are away. I would highly recommend!
Tami is wonderful! One of our cats needs medication given at specific times, so I have been hesitant to leave town. My concerns were put to rest having Tami take care of our babies. I received pictures and comments from each of her visits. She was very thorough and professional when we did our walkthrough, and I could tell my babies were in good hands. I cannot say enough great things about Tami and the care she gives!!
I have had Tami sit my baby pet tortoise, Morty. Tami has been amazing with looking after my bubby- she sends daily updates with her feeding habits, activity levels, ect - along with photos. Honestly- it is so relieving to have someone who cares about your pets, especially reptiles! I was worried about leaving her in a kennel, so it is great to have Tami when we are having to go out of town🥰
We just returned from a 2 1/2 week vacation and our animals were so well taken care of by Tami. We got twice daily reports with pix of our fur babies, which gave us such peace of mind being away. Tami watered our plants and took care of the spa, too! An amazing experience for us. Tami came highly recommended by five of her previous clients, and they all were right! You will not be disappointed with the service from Tami. We’ve already scheduled our next use of her exemplary services.
Tami offers such wonderful care. My dogs are all seniors and I worry about them being alone for extended periods while I work work long shifts. She always sends me picture updates during her visits and helps put my mind at ease. Her scheduling is so flexible and accommodating which is wonderful. My pets love her too!
Tami is about the most awesome pet sitter there is! My dogs get so excited to see her I'm actually jealous (funny but true). Tami plays and pampers my dogs for the whole time of her visit, and I love the way she send pictures and text each day giving you that peace of mind that everything is ok at home. Sincerely, thank you so much Tami!
Tami is an outstanding pet sitter. I was so comfortable knowing that my furry kids were in the best care ever with Tami. I will always hire Tami as my pet sitter when we need one. You can tell she has a great connection with all her little furry friends and truly loves all kinds of dogs & cats. Thanks again, Tami!
This was our first visit to Pete and Mac's Pet Resort to have one of our dogs groomed. They did such an excellent job and treated our dog with so much love and care. When we picked our dog up she was so relaxed and stress free. I highly recommend this place fir care of your pets, not to mention the rates are very affordable.
I had to give a star other than that I would of gave 0 stars. They are racist as hell. This the worst place ever. From the beginning they was not informative on long term stay. Than they charged my card without my permission. I wasn't able to travel to get my ESA dog showed Dr note they still gave my dog away. On top now not giving discount that was supposed to be before they abandoned my baby.I have never been treated so bad.
I take my husky here so far so good. She spends let's say maybe two weekends out of a month and when we're on vacation. The staff is pleasant, involved and shows the puppies lots of love. I believe my husky loves it when she has the opportunity to board here because she gets to meet friends. Yonah loves people so she gets really excited with all the attention that she receives. Yonah hasn't given me any indication that she's not happy with the service that she get while I'm away. Therefore we will continue returning to Pete and Mac's. REASON FOR 3 stars! The last time I took my Husky was two years ago. I stop taken her there, she wasn't getting her treats/snacks they would still be in the bag upon pick up. She came home had diarrhea/vomiting which this wasn't the first time. When I addressed it with the manger I believe her name was Krystal they could really care less. I know have a 6-month old female German Shepherd that I'm looking to Board for my two week vacation in July and remembered why my husky stop going there.
We took our english bulldog for boarding for 3 nights it was our first time, they were wonderful. They texted me photos of him I called everyday for and update and they were happy to give a report to me. Our pup Banjo seemed liked he enjoyed himself. They even sent him home with a report card which was adorable. We will definitely be using them again for boarding and daycare. The staff are all super sweet.
We came out from California to visit family for the 4th of July weekend and we wanted to board our 50lb Husky and not be a static of lost dogs during 4th of July fireworks. We were recommended to Pete and Mac’s by a friend. We’re from Orange County California so we have very hIgh expectation. We stayed in surprise so it was about 20 mins away. The area is nice with ample parking and a pet hospital right next door which gave me peace of mind. When we drove up there was a shaded area to pull in right next to the door. We were immediately greeted by a bubbly staff member Krystle who is the manager. Krystle asked about Nova’s feeding schedule and if she could play with the other dogs etc very thorough! We asked a lot of questions about the play yard, keeping them cool during play, who watches them during play time and Krystle happily explained and reassured. We felt confident leaving Nova there and didn’t worry once! When we picked up Nova she had gotten her requested groom she was super happy smelled great and when she got home she was sooo tired from playing. We 110% will use this facility again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who loves their pets to board, groom and do daycare here! Thank you Krystle for an incredible experience!
Happy pets - after their 2 day vacation! Great experience, we will be back! Thank you JC!
This is a great place to take your pets. Quality care, affordable, very comfortable. The staff is friendly and it's an awesome place to take my pets when I'm not able to watch over them. I highly recommend.
This is the promised update to the review below: I did receive a phone call back from manager Krystal the day after I posted this review. As I expected, there was no explanation for why the food and treats were not fed. None of the employees charged with their care took any responsibility for the failure. On the positive side, Krystal continued to follow up with me daily for a week to track the dog's progress. They did offer to pay any vet bills, which we appreciated. Additionally, Krystal assured me that she was using this situation in new training procedures. She seemed truly concerned and we appreciated the continued follow up. At this point, we may consider using Pete and Mac's again. As I stated initially, we have been customers for 8 years, with little or no issues. It's very unfortunate this situation occurred, particularly for our little doggie, who took 3 weeks to heal. Original post: We have used Pete and Macs for 8 years. We have two miniature dachshunds. We left them for three nights. Both dogs had just been to the vet for routine vaccinations within the week before. One of the doggies came home with a chemical burn on all four feet. The type of service we requested was NOT provided, the food we left was not fed to them and their treats were returned unopened. If you care about your animals at all, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!! We are horrified at the treatment they received. We got a refund for the dog whose feet they burned, but that's NOT what we wanted. We wanted to know what happened to our dogs. No answers. What we got was the name of the disinfectant they use. Re-Juv-Nal by Hillyard. This stuff is corrosive to the skin and eyes. I have spent two days calling the manufacturer of the "cleaning agent". It is highly corrosive to people and animals. Why you would use this stuff around animals is beyond me!!! This place is a nightmare from hell from our perspective. If you care about your pets, do not take them here. According to employee reviews, they do NOT provide the services you purchase and the animals are mistreated on a daily basis. NOT my words! This is what I read online from former employees. All I wanted was to know what happened. What I got was the silent treatment. I have been up for 36 hours with our miniature dachshund, on the phone with anyone and everyone, including poison control trying to figure out how we save our dogs feet. Do you think Pete and Macs manager Krystal cares? No phone call to see how the dog is. Nothing so far... except a refund of $118.00. I'll update this in the next three days as we see how this plays out. I feel like an idiot! I should have been reading the reviews about this place over the years. I would have never left our babies there if I had seen the employee reviews! One or two bad ones is to be expected. This place is virtually full of bad employee reviews! This is who is taking care of your pets people! If they are not happy, NEITHER will they be treating your animals well! Your darling will be the way a disgruntled employee will get back at their employer and they won't think twice about hurting them!!! Check and check again before you assume anyone will take care of your pets like you do. People are mean and nasty to animals because they can get away with it. The animals don't talk.
First time using Pete and Mac's Pet Resort and I'm impressed... As you can see my pup is worn out, in a good way. He was happy to see me when I picked him up. Easy check in and out, friendly staff, and clean facility. I would recommend this place for your dog or cat! Already booked our next visit!
My wife and I love Pete and Mac's. We always board our dogs and cats here. The staff are friendly and take go care of our furbabies.
