Dog Sitters in Chard

My rabbit, Eric, has been enjoying his holidays at Small Paws Lodge for the past five years. The set up is excellent and I know that he is being very well cared for when I am away. I travel 50 minutes each way to drop him off, but I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Thank you Catherine and family!

I've used Small Paws Lodge a few times already and really should have put on a review earlier. They are great ! I have no hesitation in placing my rabbit with them. It is a small setup so the pets receive personal care. I've already booked again for 2 weeks in March.

Absolutely love Small Paws, we have four rabbits and they always receive excellent care when we’re away. They’re more than accommodating of any requests you have, and go out of their way to work around your schedule for drop off/pick ups. Plus we get regular photo updates so we know how happy our buns are. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Meg has been fantastic helping us with our pup! The way she explains and demonstrates everything is outstanding. Meg really makes our training sessions fun, engaging and memorable, following up with videos to refer back to. I couldn't recommend Meg more highly, and only wish we'd found her before signing up to puppy classes, as we've learned and progressed more in the few hours with Meg, than the 8 weeks of classes we did.

I have a rescue dog who was originally a street dog from Greece. She’s perfect however had absolutely no recall/we were finding it difficult to get her to do basic commands. We booked Meg for training lessons and the difference even after 1 lesson was absolutely unbelievable. Seeing her actually responding to her name in a field after 2 years was incredible?! She understands dogs behaviours and pointed out things even I hadn’t noticed! She also worked at my dogs pace as she can be nervous! She followed up our lessons with videos to keep us continuing the training till we see her again. I cannot recommend her enough.. We can’t wait to find out what more Violet (my dog) can do! Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!

We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. Stan obviously enjoyed his walks and runs and his time with them. Thanks again to Bev & Flora. Great service.

My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!

Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!

Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.

For assurance that your dogs and cats are in good hands when you go on holiday then get peace of mind with Bev at Happy Pets and Paws in Ilminster. After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.

Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!

Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.

My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

Barking mad were wonderful with our old girl tasia they looked after her while we went away. We would not hesitate to use them again. Thankyou once again

Barking Mad Taunton found us the perfect host for our two dogs while we had a lovely holiday knowing our dogs were being well cared for. After the distress they suffered after their last time in kennels this is the perfect solution. Will certainly use them again.
