What an amazing and professional service. My dog Toffee, goes to Canine Country Escape and she loves it. She absolutely loves the dog walkers and actually runs to the door waiting to be collected when she hears the door bell. They are all so warm and affectionate towards her, definitely a reassurance that she's in safe hands.

We have been using Canine Countryside Escape for the last few months for our new gorgeous Labrador puppy. She started when she was 4 months old and loved it right from the start. The staff are all very caring, friendly and seem to genuinely love spending time with all the dogs. Our lovely pup comes back exhausted but very happy (which we see from some of the update photos that get sent during the day!). The whole process is straight forward and easy.

Our Labrador absolutely LOVES going to CCE! The staff really care for her and we have complete trust that she is in fun and safe hands. The only slight downside is the timings, making it hard to manage around work commitments, we use the pick up/drop off service though which helps with this.

We have had a great experience with Canine Countryside Escape and highly recommend them to those considering doggy daycare. The staff are wonderful; it's clear that caring for the dogs is a passion, not just a job. Our boy has settled in quickly and always arrives home happy. Sara and her team provide excellent doggie day care/walking services and are very flexible should your day care needs change. My dog always comes home happy and tired out and is a well rounded, sociable dog because of her visits to CCE. She looks forward to being collected by the lovely staff who clearly adore dogs. We also took our dog to puppy classes at Doberdayz so our dog thinks this is a “home from home”. A brilliant service all round!! .

Sara and her staff run a brilliant facility with plenty of enrichment for the dogs in their care. The paddocks are well maintained and in a beautiful location. They run plenty of course and classes and you can hire fields for agility using their quality equipment. Would highly recommend, Rosie loves her time there!

Have been walking my dog for almost a year now and the team is so wonderful . He is really happy to go on his walks and the care and love the team shows for each and every dog is exceptional. Best in the business, highly recommend.

A very friendly, efficient, flexible, personable and reliable dog daycare business. All people who work there are lovely and treat all the dogs like they would their own. I have two very energetic young cocker spaniels who are beyond ecstatic when they see the pickup van pull up. The dogs can’t get into that van fast enough. CCE are great with posting little daily videos on social media so you can see what your dog is up to. They also can help with training if you feel your dog needs a refresher in something like decal or loose lead walking which I have found very helpful. When my dogs are dropped off at the end of the day, all they want to do is have a snack and a long nap - which says a lot considering how high energy they are. Thank you team!

Katie has taken care of my beagle Daisy since she was a puppy. She is a challenging dog with a nose for hunting and a wilful spirit when she finds a scent to follow - so I am delighted at how well Katie has coped - she is so calm and in control, Daisy loves spending time with her. I would highly recommend Squiglets, they truly give you peace of mind and never let you down.

Natalia takes our 1 year old cavapoo Nelson for a walk once a week. He is always so excited when she arrives to pick him up, and Natalia shares lovely pictures and videos of their walk so we know he has the best time. She’s been really flexible when we’ve needed to change days or get support with extra walks. Thanks so much Natalia!

Natalia had 2 of our bunnies to board at hers over a long weekend whilst we were away. They were given an ideal outdoor set up in a safe, secure run in the garden and there was always someone at home whilst they were outside to keep a watchful eye. At nighttime or if they were out the bunnies were moved to a secure indoor run within their summer house in the garden. I received daily photos and updates. She also called in to feed our cats and collected post and milk from the milk man ect. I felt completely at ease leaving our animals in her safe hands as you can see how loving a nurturing Natalia is towards all animals. I highly recommend and will be using her services again.

Natalia has been walking our dog Joey for about 2 months now and has also boarded him overnight for a couple of nights. She is amazing with dogs and Joey is always super excited when he meets her, which is the best 'client' testimonial.

Whiskers, Feathers and fur recently walked my very excitable doggo whilst I was unwell, Millie (my pup) thoroughly enjoyed the walks and came back worn out everytime 😁. Just brilliant! Natalia looked after our kitten during the summer break. We have never used a service like this but we were so impressed. She really does care for your pet and we had so many photos and videos that we knew he was in safe hands. We will be using her services again and we are more than happy to recommend her to others.

Natalia looked after our guinea pigs a couple of times whilst we were away and she did an absolutely fantastic job! She kept them company, provided a stimulating environment and updated us regularly with pictures. On one occasion, I contacted Natalia the night before we went away as we booked a last minute break and she was really flexible and super helpful! We are so grateful that we used Natalia to look after our new kitten during our summer breaks. She has such a love of animals, and this was evident from the care and attention she gave Smidge during her visits. She kept our kitten entertained, providing her with stimulation and company. This was really important to us as our kitten can’t yet go outside and is used to a busy household. The photos and videos Natalia sent daily were loved by our children (and us). Natalia provides a fantastic and reliable service. I was looking for a dog walker and someone to care for our chickens when we were away. I came across an advert for Natalia online so we contact her and it was the start of a wonderful service. First and foremost the dogs and our chickens love her. Secondly, and just as importantly Natalia is extremely trustworthy and reliable. She communicates very well, and even gives our dogs little toys or treats on special occasions. She has also been able to help out at short notice when we have had a family emergency and needed help with additional dog walking unexpectedly. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

We have used Natalia and Whiskers, Feathers and Fur on many occasions when we have been away. Our cats are very shy with strangers but have always been super happy to see Natalia who will always go the extra mile with them (including finding her way through our building site to feed them). She plays with them, leaves them treasure hunts of treats to find and will send us photos and videos so we know they are safe. We couldn't recommend her more (and frequently do to others!)

Natalia was absolutely amazing with our two! They are both very different personalities and she had them both charmed from the outset (even our shy cat). I could really tell how much she cared and her messages were really reassuring. Separately, I would also love her to take 'formal' photos of the two, she has a real eye! My dog has been going to Pooches Retreat for 6 years. Hannah and Rebecca love the dogs in their care and are always attentive to their individual needs. My dog gets so excited when she hears the van arrive, wouldn't trust anyone else to look after her the way Hannah & Rebecca do! Highly Recommend!

My dog absolutely loves her visits to 'doggy day-care'! She happily greets Hannah and jumps into the van when picked up, then comes home tired but content after spending the day playing with her doggy friends. 💕 The girls are so lovely and obviously care very much for each and every dog they look after. Pooches Retreat sounded exactly the place we were looking for to care for our two young labradors when attending a nearby wedding anniversary party .When we spoke on the phone we had such a friendly response that we booked the dogs in for the day. We were not disappointed - clearly the dogs had a wonderful day and had been very well looked after playing with the girls and other dogs so we would thoroughly recommend Pooches Retreat and would certainly go there again. Our lab Henry has been a regular at Chandlers Cross for 7 years. He's always happy to arrive and wags his tail when he meets the lovely staff. He comes home happy and fit. Our commitments are unpredictable and they are always very adaptable when we need to change dates or collect or deliver on different days. Happy dog, happy owners. Thank you.

We hate leaving our schnauzer as she doesn't like being left but we felt very confident that she would be well looked after by the nice people at this kennel - they seem really to care about the dogs, they were very friendly and helpful about all the arrangements, and it was very reassuring the way they urged us to visit in advance. At some kennels and dog "hotels" they seem reluctant to let you in at all. Our dog can't tell us if she enjoyed her two week holiday but she came home in good spirits, healthy, trim and clean. We will be hoping Chandlers Cross can take her next time we go away.

if your dog is a bit larger than the normal size of your dog breed or if your dog eats a bit more than the normal amount of its dog breed you should ask them to feed you more or bring your own dog food. but so far it's amazing

As daunting as it is and painful to leave special family member behind, Chandlers Cross staff (Jess) made me feel reassured and I could see how much passion they had for dogs and ensuring that dog needs would be met. Care offered be as good as I could hope it to be.

My dog is safe here when we are away. As a rescue she's nervous and doesn't love being away from us but we know we can go away with peace of mind that she is well cared for. All the staff are friendly and it's good to be dealing with real people when looking for a space or needing to amend a booking.

This is the first time here for Milo, wont be his last. Jess and Liz were so lovely with him, that he went in with ease. Thank you so much for taking him in at short notice, while i was having work done at home. Wonderful caring staff , wonderful kennels.

We have been using Gilly's pet care for both dog walking and boarding since 2021 and we could not be more grateful for the care and the service that Gillian and her family show to our dog Rio. Gill has been walking our Border Terrier for six years. Gill is kind and thoughtful and absolutely trustworthy. She looks after our dog so well, and is so sensible about when to keep her on the lead and keeping her safe using the muzzle (our dog can be snappy). Can’t recommend Gill highly enough, she’s just a wonderful person and loves, loves, loves dogs!

Gillian has been walking our dogs for over 7 years. She has been amazing with all 3 of them, taking the time to understand their needs and give us excellent advice. Our dogs are always so excited when she takes them on walks and I genuinely think they love her more than us sometimes. I would recommend Gillian 100 times over. We would be lost without her!

Gilly’s Pet Care has been looking after our Cavapoo, Barney, for nearly two years. The team are incredibly loving, caring and also very accommodating to our needs. Gillys pet care is amazing! We have been using Gillian for the best part of ten years, be it weekly dog walking for our 3 dogs or even an extra friendly check in on our pooches when we've been working late. I can not recommend them highly enough!

When I had an unplanned move to Rickmansworth four years ago I also was not planning on leaving my dog alone during the day when I got him and I urgently needed someone I could whole-heartedly trust to look after my cherished little dog Teddy. I personally spoke to some of Gilly's existing customers on the phone just before I moved and all of them gave her glowing reports, which really reassured me. Since then, Gilly, her husband Darren and their daughter Grace have looked after my little dog and I could not recommend them more. Teddy adores them all and I have the peace of mind that they always look after him as well as I could. He runs to the door when he knows their van is outside and many times I have seen him lick Gilly's face adoringly when she picks him up. If we see their van when we are out walking he nearly drags me up the road to meet them. I have bumped into a few of their customers since I have lived here and they all share the same opinion as me; Gilly and her family are an absolute god-send and to Gilly it is more than just a business. She is the kindest carer you could ever find and I am forever grateful x

ActivePaws is not a kennels- far from it. It’s a home from home for precious pets. I would not leave my dog anywhere else. Louise and David are professional and knowledgeable and take pet care to a new level. It’s absolutely unique!

Olive absolutely loves going to Active Paws both for daycare and overnight visits. It gives us such peace of mind to know she’s so well looked after and so happy there, it really is a wonderful and caring place.

My dog Waffles has been attending Active Paws since he was 4 months old and nearly 4 years on he loves it as much as he did the very first day. When he was a small puppy, David and Louise ensured he was integrated gently and gave extra time and attention, even sending us lovely email updates. He now looks forward to his weekly slot and also attends for boarding when we're away too. Active Paws has great space and a wonderful team including Tania, Nicky and Sophie who send us photos via Whatsapp of the dogs playing. I'd thoroughly recommend for you dogs.

Poppy has been going to Active Paws for over 2 years. Not only do they have amazing grounds for the dogs to play and rest, the whole team are amazing – so friendly and they send regular photo’s which is a lovely touch. Both David and Louise have been extremely helpful with accommodating last minute bookings, answering emails immediately (even when on holiday!) and have always offered great dog advice when needed. The whole team have always gone above and beyond. Poppy always return home shattered after a fun day at day care.

The team at Active Paws are fantastic. They take time to ensure that dogs are suitably matched in groups and don’t let large groups of dogs run riot. Our standard poodle has settled into the routine and lovely facilities - we can tell from the pictures he has a great time. I highly recommend the team at active paws if you are looking for a daycare!

The team at Active Paws are wonderful and very friendly, our dog is looked after very well and is always happy to be dropped off. The regular updates show that he is getting lots of care and having a fun time with the other dogs. Lottie has been going to Active Paws for nearly 3 years now. Lottie has an enormous, insuppressible amount of energy. Even at 7am David, Louise and team greet her with just as much enthusiasm as she shows them. David and Louise have saved me many times with last minute requests for dog care and Lottie has spent many holidays there. It is very much her second home and the team love her just as much as we do (possibly even more!) We couldn't manage life without Active Paws and days there are definitely the highlight of Lottie's life. Thank you!

My dog has been going to active paws for 5 years for dog boarding when we are away. She is always really happy there with plenty of space to run around in the fields as well as walks in the woods and ball chasing. Its great that there are a limited number of dogs each time and they sleep in homely surroundings in the kitchen and side room. We are updated regularly with videos and photos. I can't imagine a better place for her to stay.

My cockapoo Ramsay has been going to Active Paws twice a week. for just over a year now, since he was 6 months old. He can’t wait to get in each time we pull up and often wants to stay for a few more cuddles at home time. The staff are amazing and I feel at ease dropping him off for the day without having to worry he will be ok. I really enjoy seeing the pictures they send through of him and his lookalike bestie having fun. Would definitely recommend.

I've recently used Karen's cat care for the first time and am very pleased with her services. Not only did Karen care expertly for my two cats, one of whom is particularly needy, she sent me frequent updates and pictures of them during my holiday and she was flexible with the days she was needed as family visited the house during my absence. I returned to 2 happy cats and even my plants had been watered, what great service!

We have been absolutely delighted with Karen's care for our cats Mercury and Carlos this summer on a number of occasions. We came back to 2 very happy and relaxed cats. Our holidays were made all the more enjoyable knowing that they were both safe and well looked after. It was great to get regular updates about our cats from Karen and to receive photos of them. Karen clearly loves cats and has a great rapport with them. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Last week while I was on holiday Karen took care of my cat. I was extremely happy with her professional service and my cat was very happy too :-) Karen is a cat lover and has cats herself, so she knew exactly how to take care of my kitty. Each day while I was on holiday I received a detailed email from Karen (with pics!) telling me how my cat is, how she has been eating and how they played. We have three very sweet, very high-maintenance kitties that need regular attention and medication, and as a household that travels frequently, Karen has been a true life saver. We have used Karen's Cat Care many times over the last 2 years, and she is always cheerful and reliable, even for last minute trips. Her regular updates throughout our trip put us at ease and let us enjoy our time away. We always come home to happy kitties, and couldn’t recommend Karen’s Cat Care more highly!

Karen is a wonderful pet sitter. She has a natural affinity for animals, and both of my cats (one outgoing, one shy and grumpy) love her. Her approach is very organised; comprehensive notes and regular communication put my mind completely at ease when I'm away from home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!

Karen is a genuinely excellent cat sitter. I struggled to find someone reliable for a while, but was lucky enough to find her ad. When I am away she keeps me up to date on everything, and when I come back I find the place in perfect working order and my cat well looked after and relaxed. We love Crazy Tails, we brought Coco here for the first time and were a bit worried as she’s quite a ‘stressy’ but she was absolutely fine and came out looking amazing and smelling so sweet. Jo is so attentive with Coco and we’re very happy we’ve found them. X

One of the easiest recommendations EVER- this is by no doubt the best doggy day care ever!! Vicky and Graham created an absolutely magical place, brought the most amazing team, including Jenna and Tim the Trainer, and created a doggy heaven. There are days I seriously consider asking them to let me stay with them instead of going to work! Carla, my crazy 2 years old Bearded Collie, starts her happy dance down the road and bursts out of the car as we park. She is loved, taken care of and she even gets support on her training when needed whilst there. She is the happiest Beardie ever when returning back home, after a day there. And for us, logistics are also important- great opening hours, lots of indoor space so also when raining the dogs have where to run around, there’s vacation care and grooming! Makes our lives v much easier. Really happy with r Crazy Tail and full heartedly recommend 💖

I am training for my Award in Dog Grooming with Crazy Tails and I’m finding it to be one of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had. Academy manager Becky is second to none for knowledge, she’s patient and fantastic at teaching. I’ve been hands on since day one with amazing support giving me confidence in what I’m doing, even nail clipping!

Prince had a lovely time being groomed by Sky and the other girls. The fresh smell lasted quite a while. Very happy with the service and would recommend to anyone.

They did an amazing job on Ruby who has been going to crazy tails since she was a puppy. Friendly staff & my dog loves going. I would highly recommend them

Bailey has been coming to Crazytails Retreat for daycare, overnight stays and grooming since April this year . She absolutely loves it . She loves playing with the other dogs, going for walks and having cuddles with the lovely professional staff . It is her second home. The facilities for dogs are excellent and the staff cannot do enough for them . As Bailey has only just turned one year old, her socialisation has really improved since coming here . I really recommend Crazytails.

Becky is amazing and our dog absolutely loves being groomed. He always smells amazing when he leaves which is great.

So disappointed to go there and get the dog full of fleas (never had fleas in years and years) and with his anal glandes bleeding (for weeks after!, and not only once!). We went there regularly but for the past three sessions the experience was horrible for our dog, costing us extra money with vets and treatments. Very very disappointed.

My Keeshond had a groom at Crazy Tails today & we are very happy with the results! Keesies can be tricky to groom but the team did a great job. Very reasonably priced as well! We will definitely be back.

Our two dogs have had a fabulous time at the Retreat. They are relaxed and in great physical shape. We had daily updates and it has been a tremendous place to let them stay as part of the pack and the family. Thanks very much.

Our dog-obsessed spaniel has a great time here in daycare and boarding! She’s excited to get there, gets on well with the staff, and comes back very chilled out after a hard days play We really appreciate crazy tails’ flexibility. They have been very accommodating for our situation We also use the crazy tails grooming service. Our dog has become fearful of other groomers but gets on fine here and they do a splendid job Thanks very much!

Genuinely blown away at how brilliant the set up here is. A huge outdoor space for the dogs to play, which i realised today, has a recycled cushioned material across the entire area. That’s attached to several indoor spaces for chilling out, doing treat puzzles or having a nap. The carers are clearly experienced and struck up an immediate rapport with our elderly dog…which is always a comfort. Then there’s several acres of fields that the dogs get walked in and if they get mucky, they are given a quick wash and dry in the onsite grooming parlour. Cannot recommend this doggy daycare enough.

This really is 5⭐️ treatment for our dog, she absolutely loves it here and gets so excited when we arrive. The staff are all so lovely and very knowledgeable about dog care. We particularly like her staying overnight in the house with the family. Also, having a grooming parlour on site is a real bonus, particularly as one of the groomers has shown her cocker spaniel at Crufts.

Best groom our long haired husky has ever had. Came back fully dry and smelling lovely. Highly recommend!

My dogs have been staying here on and off for many years and I can highly recommend Pipwood, my dogs love it here. When I collect them they are always happy and in top condition.

The staff here are AMAZING with the animals, true pet lovers. No matter what the weather the staff are always smiling and welcoming. Our dogs have stayed here many times over the past 6 years and absolutely love it. When we open the boot of the car and they realise where they are they are really happy, and never look back when we say good bye. When we first called enquiring, we were told to visit whenever and we would see the staff doing what they do. No set up, no presence, and we knew our boys would be safe here and yes they get lots of cuddles. We are really happy leaving our boys here, don’t know what would do without the staff and kennels here. xx

Harley has stayed here several times. It always amazes me how all the staff know all the dogs. It's the only place where she comes out so happy, giving affection to us for collecting her but importantly it's lovely to see how she interacts with the staff who clearly invest a lot of time while we're away and make a fuss. Couldn't recommend Pipwood highly enough!

Found this kennel for my baby doggo. And I must say he was extremely happy staying there. The owner is just amazing and the service outstanding. I really recommend this kennel. As I have looked at quite a few in the area and this is the best. Kennels are spacious and clean. And the price way better that other Kennels. Cant recommend it enough

We love Pipwood! After visiting lots of kennels in our search we came across Pipwood. We loved the warm and friendly atmosphere and all the animals looked happy and well looked after. We have been taking our one year old Bassett Hound, Phoebe there since she was six months old and they treat her as if she were family. When we arrive at Pipwood Phoebe cannot wait to get out of the car and runs straight in! It is such a relief to know she is happy while we are away.

I first used Pipwood Kennels ten year sa go looking after my dog. They even offered to care for him when he'd had unexpected surgery prior to a family holiday. Sadly the dog is no longer with us but I take my cat there. The staff welcome him like one of their own; always ask his meal preference; clearly they give him a cuddle on occasions too! he is a white and ginger cat and is always spotlessly clean when I collect him.

Very unclear charges for my two dogs to go in for just ‘ONE’ night and in the same kennel together. Ended up paying £80.00, total rip off! Ensure cost price fully before leaving your animals there as this kennels as staff member stated is a day home and your charged by the day.

Before we booked here, we stopped by to visit. They asked us not to let them know when we were coming so we could see how it was without any preparation for guests. I really liked that to start with. When we dropped Ruby off she was so excited she didn't even acknowledge my husband or 'say goodbye' as he put it. We just picked her up today after nearly 2 weeks with Pipwood and they all knew her by name and all had something lovely to say about her. So I know they're all properly invested in each and every animal. They also reduced her food as they noticed she was putting on a little weight since she was getting less exercise than normal (she's an 8 month old lab and needs hours of exercise at home) so I thought that was such a good indication of how much attention they pay to each and every animal. Ruby is actually a little down right now, missing her friends at Pipwood. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we'll be back again.

We have been using pipwood for a few years now and it is absolutely brilliant. Our doggy Berrie loves going there and is always so happy as we are nearing the kennels and she realises where she is going, that says it all. She is very well looked after and spoiled by everyone that I almost feel guilty when I pick her up! Please don't be put off by the bad reviews on this sight, it's just that people don't read the opening times and rules that are clearly stated.

Excellent boarding kennels. Looked after my dog whilst I was away. She was poorly at the time and the staff looked after her as if she was at home, providing much needed reassurance and good quality care. Very happy to recommend them.
