We are so grateful we can go away and know she is being looked after so well and we don't have to worry about her. Another great service. Otto loves going and is always well looked after. He is treated like part of the family. The photos and updates on how he is getting on is fantastic and he always seems to be having a lovely time. We will certainly be using again.

We would highly recommend Barking Mad, Tracy provides an excellent service, nothing is too much trouble. Bobbi leaves home happy and arrives back home happy, the host families are lovely and caring and you are always kept updated on his welfare. Would not know what we would do without Tracy at Barking Mad and the host families.

I have always found this service amazing. It is such a unique level of care that surpasses everything you expect. Tracy has been amazing right from the start. Her careful assessment of Charlie who was very old and had multiple needs resulted in a very individual service that made Charlie feeling that he was not away from home. On every single 'holiday' he returned home happy, clean, well fed and completely relaxed - there was no evidence of separation anxiety before or after his 'holidays'. In contrast when he was in the kennels - he was thin, smelly, and anxious and when he barked he sounded as though he had a sore throat. On every occasion he was anxious for days and it took almost a week to settle down. Tracy has a wonderful team and their kindness to Charlie was always evident when he came home. One of her hosts had taken ill while minding my dog, so without any fuss Tracy quickly collected my dog and secured the services of another host to care for it, allowing my holiday to continue uninterrupted. This is our first time with Barking Mad, and we found Tracy extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Tracy matched our dog with Carl and we felt very reassured and relaxed during our time away. Wonderful service and a caring company. My Minty has had several hols with the same hosts and is always well looked after. If ever there is a delay because another animal is getting extra care you are kept well informed, and it is door to door. 10/10. I would have posted earlier, but this is a new mobile phone and the other one had no sites like this.🐶🐶🐶

When Hannah first met Maggie she really took her time to get to know Her and understand her quirky little ways. Maggie adores Hannah and always looks like she’s having the most fun on all of her walks thanks to Hannah taking snapshots and little pup dates while shes out with Maggie I get to experience her little adventures too. Couldn’t rate Hollys hounds and felines highly enough.

Hannah is the best for our challenging and needy French Bulldog. She has been able to help us when he's had behavioural issues and introduced him to lots of new doggy friends. He watches out the window when she is coming and he absolutely adores her; I wouldn't trust anyone else with my doggo.

Hannah is absolutely incredible- she’s walked our 10 month old patt Nelson since he was a few months old and has been so patient with him, helping him build up his confidence. Our cats also love her too. Brilliant with animals and a genuinely kind human too! Couldn’t recommend her more!

Fantastic pet sitting service who have looked after Henry (cat) for a year now. We arranged a visit before the first time we went away so they could meet each other and know what Henry likes to eat and play with. He is always well fed and looked after while we are away and happier in his own home. Highly recommended!

Gerry Is a wonderful dog sitter/ walker. I couldn’t of asked for more reassurance to know our dog was so looked after. Gerry only met him a handful of times before she had him stay over and he adores her. What a wonderful animal lover she is! We even got treats brought home with him after his stay! I would highly recommend her!

Gerri is great with my black Labrador. He is a rescue so has had some issues but he is very happy and loves his visits with her as she takes time to understand his needs. We are hoping to try some overnight boarding soon. Highly recommend.

Arranged to board our three spaniels whilst away on holiday. I think they had a better time than we did! They were happy, not at all stressed and look like they’ve had a great time! They have not fretted or lost weight. So we are very satisfied indeed and will be using them again.

Due to health issues, we needed a kind, caring person to look after our dog's exercise needs. He's an elderly boy, and not great with other dogs. Sam came initially to meet us and our boy, and we discussed an appropriate regime for him. He now has gentle exercise and loves going out for 'walkies'! Thanks, Woofgates!!

Good little boarding kennels. Quite basic but in quiet location. Dogs been in 4 times now and I have no hesitation in rebooking.

We recently moved to the area from Sweden and one of the first things we knew we needed was to find someone to watch our two cats if we were away. After looking into a few different services where you bring your pet to a location, my husband stumbled on Petpals Darlington & Yarm. We were happy to find a service where people would come to our house rather than us having to take the cats somewhere as travelling can be very stressful for animals. From the beginning, our interactions with the staff at Petpals D&Y was really wonderful - everyone we spoke to was lovely and helpful, and setting up an initial meeting with Jill was quick, easy, and hassle-free. We went on holiday to visit my in-laws over the Christmas period and despite the awkward time of year to work, it was clear from the daily updates that everyone who came to look in on them didn't shirk out on giving our cats time and attention. They seemed knowledgeable about cats - with Jill pegging their breed within a few minutes of meeting them, even, despite it not being a common breed in the UK - and we were assured that if the cats were to become ill that they work directly with a specific cat veterinarian in the area that they would bring them to if necessary. Overall we felt very safe and confident leaving our animals (and access to our home) in their care. We loved the daily updates in particular, with pictures, and when we returned it was to two super happy cats who seemed more calm than anxious. Staff from Petpals D&Y even left them a little Christmas gift that they went crazy for 😂😍. Best petsitting service I've ever used. The price is very reasonable - cheaper than services where you bring your animals somewhere where they'll probably mostly be in cages all day - and setting up dates for them to watch the cats is incredibly easy. Will absolutely be using them again for future trips, short and long, and would 100% recommend for people who are a bit anxious about leaving their furry family members behind on holiday, work trips, etc.

I can't speak highly enough of the service provided by Petpals. While we are away we know our 2 cats are in great hands. They get a visit every day. Litter cleaned and water refreshed. Then they will get a little play time and some one on one attention. Shortly after we receive an email detailing all the exciting events that have happened and a lovely collage of our little kitties. It's something we genuinely look forward to each day we are away. Thank you so much.

This is the second time I've used Petpals and once more I cannot recommend them highly enough. I came back from a long holiday to a content, settled and well looked after cat!! Rachel has been great with him, following his routines, playing with him and making sure he had his cuddles. I loved seeing the photos and reading her daily reports that were making me feel like I was there for a moment. I could tell he has in good hands!!

I did not expect the level of care, attention and obvious affection shown to my pretty independant cat whilst I was away on holiday; Rachel sent me daily reports along with lovely photos, not only did she feed him but she spent time playing with him, grooming him and cleaning him up too when needed as he is long haired. Rachel took the time to tell me how he was on interaction too, playful, mischievous . And on top of that she cleaned his bowls and took all the pouches away for recycling. A really fantastic service all round and I wholeheartedly recommend Petpals to everyone who owns a pet.

My little nervous dog has totally come out of her shell since starting group walks with the dogs, she is picked up and dropped off and absolutely loves all the dog walkers! I cannot recommend Petpals Darlington enough for the care and attention they gave our two cats during our recent family holiday. I was extremely panicked when we first went away as I've never had our cats looked after by anyone other than family and friends but Jill calmed my nerves and even checked the GPS tracking to ensure our cats were being attended to as planned. Our two were attended to by Rachel and then Patricia during our week away and both ladies were fabulous with them. We have a sickly youngster but both ladies cleaned up after her with no bother! Our cats were fed, litter scooped, clean water and most importantly played with and given valuable outdoor time in their catios. The daily service reports with photos were excellent and wherever we were adventuring on the island, we all stopped to hear the daily updates! We arrived home tonight to happy, content cats, clean litter, filled bellies and a lovely card. Thank you to Jill, Rachel and Patricia for treating my two cats so well and with so much care. Thoroughly Recommend 😊

A very professional service from the beginning. Good assessments done with my fog prior to at services being agreed. I've used their walking service regularly and they have a portal that's easy to update if anything changes with your dog. I've also recently used their dog sitting service. We were paired with a lovely man who I think spoiled my girl more than I do. He was a superstar!! I love that they give you a short report after every walk & lovely photos. It is so reassuring to see that your dog is well looked after. The same with the dog boarding - daily photos & updates. I would highly recommend their services.

As a business owner and a single man I can’t always be home as regularly or consistently as I ought to be for Edwin, but Petpals are always there and look after him as though he were one of their own. I recently used Petpals dog walking service for my two dogs, Eli and Ada, while I was away on holiday. I could not recommend Petpals high enough, they took brilliant care of both my dogs, they sent regular updates and photographs and I had total piece of mind that my dogs were having as much fun as I was. On the 06/06/2022 Mike the owner of the home dog boarding has kicked my dog for pulling him , while walking with other 5 dogs , i have video proof when he kicks my dog , the dog is a Belgium Shepherd that can get excited for walks , she is not aggressive as he is walking her with other 5 dogs , his explanation was that he had to kick her to stop bitting one o the dogs , that is not true and not what the video proof is showing , long story shot I am posting this comment here to make other people aware of what can happen at this doggy day care , i was lucky enough for someone’s dash camera to be on while he was kicking my dog and this is how i found out .
