Kathleen was a fantastic sitter and Olive and Noodle miss her already. She was great about sending pictures and updates - never had to ask anything, she always beat us to it. She didn't assume anything that wasn't clearly stated - always asked us beforehand. She was great with our dogs - they immediately bonded with her and didn't want to leave her side. We really appreciated being able to go away and not worry about our pets' welfare, we knew immediately they were being so well taken care of. We hope to host Kathleen again soon!!
Due to a family emergency, I had to leave the country earlier than I had planned, and needed a sitter to fill in the gap between my departure and another sitter. Michele responded within minutes of my posting the sit, and then we spoke and confirmed the sit within hours. Her husband, Israel, was coming from Mexico to France, while she and her kids were to come from Sweden. When Michele’s travel plans changed, and she wouldn’t be able to come with her children, she assured me that Israel would still come to look after the house and dogs. To do this, for a stay of only five days, he flew to Paris, and then to the south of France, where he rented a car and drove the rest of the way to my place. As I was already traveling, the previous sitters filled him in on the various things that needed to be tended to: caring for two dogs, tending to hens, watering 90 young olive trees daily, as well as other things. The place is big and it took me 3-4 weeks when I first moved in to figure out where things were and what to do. Israel mastered everything upon his arrival, sent me daily updates with photos of my two VERY happy dogs. In addition to all the upkeep, he managed to hike with the dogs daily. I arrived home to find everything perfectly maintained, two fit and and Israel’s guest house cleaner than it was when he arrived. Immaculate. I cannot even express my gratitude for to both Michele and Israel for such a sacrifice and commitment to do that for me. It was a very difficult time, as I was dealing with the loss of both my son and my mother. I did not worry for one second while my dogs and home were in Israel’s hands. Thank you both, so, so much. You’re welcome back anytime, with the entire family, even just for a visit, maybe just a well-deserved holiday, with no dog- or house- sitting!
My dog had a medical emergency while in John’s care and I credit him with saving my pup’s life. You couldn’t ask for a better sitter in a pressure situation. He also communicated regularly during the stay, keeping me posted on how my pup was doing. Would recommend John to anyone who needs a sitter they can trust.
Kelly was an excellent sitter for us. She communicated well, before the sit and during the sit. When we got home, the dogs and our guinea pig were happy and well. Kelly was dependable and showed up exactly on time. The house was well maintained and clean when we arrived home. We would definitely host Kelly again.
Lisa and Matt were absolutely fantastic sitters for us and our dog, Moose. Not only were they flexible when our flight was changed last minute, they also were able to stay an extra day to accommodate the changes. They communicated with us promptly during the scheduling and planning process for the housesit. They arrived on time on the (re)scheduled day. They acclimated to our dog very quickly and gave us piece of mind as we left by taking him on a walk to avoid his separation anxiety. We chatted every day and exchanged photos of Moose playing at the beach and in the yard. He was so happy! No problems were encountered with the house. Even our neighbors commented on how friendly and kind Lisa and Matt both were and how they really cared for Moose. The house was spotless when we returned. Everything in proper order, better than we left it. We can't thank them enough for the excellent experience!
Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.
Hamsa was very quick to respond in all communication. She was prompt on her arrival and listened carefully to our detailed instructions about the house and dogs. While we were away the amount of communication between us was just right. When we arrived home the dogs were happy and the house was in order. A good sign that a dog sitter paid lots of attention to the pups is when we see a bit of depression set in after a dog sitter departs - this did occur after Hamsa left our home She is a very caring and nurturing individual.
Ranji was a wonderful pet sitter for my dog Zoe and was very easy to communicate with and kept me informed. She took wonderful care of our condo and wouldn’t hesitate to have her in my new home in NJ if she wants to check out a new area.
Lori and Joe took great care of our two dogs and tow cats while we were gone. Our plans changed and we actually asked if they could come a day before we had originally planned to leave and they said no problem! They even stayed over on the night we got home so that we could meet them which was very nice! Lori was very good with communication before the house sit and also during the time they were here. She let us they had arrived safely and then sent us a short text or pictures every day of the animals. The house looked cleaner than when we left it when we got home! Lori and Joe were great house sitters and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
I cannot thank Jenny and Geoff enough for stepping in at the last minute after the original sitter cancelled. They are a great couple, friendly , organised and extremely capable. Also they LOVE animals. My dog and cat have clearly been given a great deal of care and attention in my absence. Jenny kept in touch with notes and lovely photos, Geoff cut my grass and I came home to a spotlessly sparkling house ! Thank you so much! Jenny and Geoff are welcome back anytime and I would not hesitate to recommend them as excellent sitters.

Optimim care for your four-footed friend. They give personalized attention and keep charts on feeding schedules and care preferences of your pet. Their "dog wash" is also an exceptional operation. Your dog will be gorgeous when they are done with the bath. See below.
The best kennel in the Valley. It's expensive but probably not any more than anyone else. But the caveat to that, when I pick up my children, they don't smell like piss. Priceless.
Happy pups singing praises to their 4 day staycation. Scruff looking so cute after her awesome grooming. Please note the Mohawk!!!!!
Ken Neill Kennels is amazing! I have an unsocial Great Dane who we have never been comfortable enough to have boarded anywhere. Ken Neill is the only place I feel comfortable leaving our baby with. They are very nice, accommodating and confident when handling our dog, and are always understanding when we call to check in to see how our dane is doing! The boarding kennels and play area are very clean and large enough for our Dane to feel comfortable! KEN NEILL KENNELS IS THE BEST!!!!
Super friendly staff, nice kennels. Our dog was well taken care of and we really appreciate the service. Each animal has their own space, with walls and a roof. There are misters on warm days and the animals get person attention every day. Very happy with the staff, facility and service
Always take great care of my dogs for both boarding and grooming.
The employees are the nicest friendly people and the owner is very helpful. Prices are too low, they should charge more nowadays. It was the best experience ever for the dog loved going there and came back without any problems. There was not a single issue with scheduling appointments. Need to upgrade prices and take other options for payment, otherwise I give them all thanks for taking excellent care of my dog. Best place for bringing your pets.
My dog Athena loves Ken Neill's and would not stay anywhere else.
Best kennel for 🐕 I've found. Great care and concern. Delilah my dog goes there on a regular basis. It's a little out of our way, but sooo worth it 👌. A great kennel!!! …
First time boarding my dog, ever! This place felt secure and comfortable. Kennel is outdoor but has a "partial indoor" shelter for cold nights. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. My dog came home happy.
They were great and a blessing. They took my dog at the very last minute. When no one else could or was available they made it possible I was very grateful I'm still grateful for them. Also they have Great options for where you want your dog in or out big or small space. I am so grateful. Thank you Jesus Christ for smith kennels, they took my pup last minute and gave me a good price for 4 days 🤗😇🙂.
Do not bring your dogs here. I hate to say it, because the owners seem nice, but this place is not well taken care of. The smell of urine is prominent upon entering and especially in the “office” which is more like a storage closet. What was most disturbing is that most of their kennels do not have an indoor section for the animals. They say there are “shade” trees, but our poor dog came back with burnt paws after only 1 day there. We had to apply aquaphor on her paw pads. They were so red and burned. Also, we arrived a day early to pick her up only to find that they did not place the blankets we brought for her in her kennel yet! She had been there for over 24 hours and they didn’t take a second to put her blankets in the kennel, nor did they give her any of the bully sticks we brought for her, which should have been 1 per day. Our dog was exhausted and did not have a positive demeanor like she usually does when we bring her back from a kennel stay. She also STUNK of urine and dirt. We had to bathe her immediately upon returning home. We only came here because our other kennel was all booked up. I was very disappointed from my experience with Smith Kennels and will not be bringing my animals back here.
I have used Smith Kennels several times since 2009. The owners live onsite. On a trip in early July we boarded are 3 dogs and a cat. We were worried about the heat and the dogs because of the 110 degree heat which lasted for several days. The dogs were comfortable and had the option of staying inside in the cool portion of the run or going outside. (There are different sized runs for different sized dogs and the kennels are in a tree covered area which provides ample shade.) We knew the cat was on his last leg and his conditioning was worsening and let the owners know that. Smith Kennels called us the day we were headed home and let us know he was not eating and did not want to get up. They stayed open late so we could pick him up and take him home when we arrived back in the area. There rates are very reasonable and they provide great services. I get the feeling this is not so much a business for them, it is their life.
Very nice, polite and professional people. They always make sure customers are happy. We recently dropped off an application to adopt a Miniature Schnauzer and are currently waiting to hear back.
Had to go into the hospital for a knee replacement and needed to kennel my new pup; I was a bit concerned because my pup has only been with me for about 10 months and has a bit of separation anxiety from being abandoned running loose in the desert. The Smiths took great care of my furball, she seemed to be just fine. My expected 4 day stay turned into over 2 weeks as the hospital sent me to a rehab hospital to get my new knee working some before sending me home. I highly recommend Smith Kennels if you need them
I loved it here! Guinness had a great time and the owners are really nice! They let me pick up my dog after hours and are reasonably priced! Thank you Smith kennels!
Clean, friendly, responsible, and great place in Lancaster to board your pets. Trees for shade and knowledge staff. Family business, ran with love, and willing to help animals in need.
THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF MY DOG. They put a 5lb maltese who had just been neutered in a concrete run with no blankets, no food no water and access to the outside portion of the run with chain link fencing with huge gaps. My poor dog vanished within a couple of hours and they were so disorganized with their paperwork I was not even notified until the next day when we went to pick up! For all I know they gave the dog to someone or it was killed on their property and they're covering it up. Either way my sweet little guy is dead I'm sure and their negligence caused it. DO NOT USE THEM!
It's a very nice place. It's been here for many years. The owners are nice they're in their 90s. It seems like they're always full so that is excellent they must be doing something right
Joyce did an amazing job grooming our Pomeranian 😀 …
They are a little pricey, but very worth it! One of my furbaby's has special needs, and they are very accommodating with her medication. Update 1+ years later: I'm still very satisfied with this facility. They take great care of my special needs dog and my spicy dachshund. For me they are worth the cost. Highly recommend!
I have two puppies and they have a lot of energy. I had brought them to kennels in the area and when we picked them up, they seemed sad and also had A TON of pent up energy. They’d go wild for days afterwards. So I did some research and decided to try the Pampered Pooch. They do require a lot of paperwork from your vet but it’s a good thing to make sure the pups are safe. They also take your dog for a 4 hour temperament test to see if they’re a good fit for the place. (Also a good thing). Seems like a lot of work, however, it’s well worth it. This is the second time I’ve brought them while we are on vacation and they come home exhausted and happy. They get to play with the other dogs for hours everyday so they’re not pent up. The staff is friendly. It’s the best place to bring your pets around the Lancaster/Palmdale area. Thank you Pampered Pooch!
I wish the staff were friendlier. Some times when I call to book an appointment I feel like I’m bothering them and they’re rushing me. It makes me feel off about booking with them. I know my dogs typically leave there happy, so that’s a positive. I just feel anxious ever trying to speak to staff. EDIT: I’ve lowered this review another star because I’m very disappointed in the bathing of my dogs. They charged $68 per dog to literally just bath my dog. No brushing, no nails done, no ear cleaning. I know this as I’m a retired dog groomer and I know my dogs coat and what a fresh bath looks like. For that price that all should definitely be included in the service. It’s also a mandatory service when leaving your dog for more than 3 nights which I understand… but the service itself is the very bare minimum. My dogs also drink a LOT of water when they return home, as if they haven’t drank all day. It’s all odd to me and doesn’t seem right.
Our puppy Laika LOVES it here. Today when I picked her up from daycare, she didn’t want to leave. This girl wants all play all day, and Pampered Pooch delivers! We love the text/picture updates when traveling, and trust that she’s always in good hands. Can’t recommend enough.
A friend recommended and what a clean friendly place it is. Had the dogs(2) nails trimmed. It went quick, quietly-the dogs didn't fuss- and the price was reseasonable. There were people coming in to drop off their dog for an over night stay including instructions for their fur-baby. I asked her about her opinion of this place and WOW was she full of opinions, lol. But, they were ALL great opinions. That made me feel much better about this place.
TL;DR: Negligent to dogs' needs resulting in a potentially dangerous environment combined with poor staff attitudes. I saw the great reviews and had hopes for this place. I set up an evaluation for my dog for daycare and they told me to have all the vaccine records ready for when I arrive. I think the $18 they charge for that is a cash grab, but that's ok. I called ahead of time before I pulled up and asked what the procedure was for me to bring in my dog as he has some leash aggression and I wanted to avoid a full waiting room. The lady that was there didn't answer the question and instead said rather curtly I needed to provide all the records. I explained I was told to email them when I arrived so they could print them then and have them. She said fine and just told me to ring the doorbell. When I arrived, there was a dog in one of the front windows right beside the door that was going nuts, causing my dog to get very agitated. The lady did not address this dog that's freaking out and instead opened the door to let me in. There was yet another dog in a kennel in the lobby who started barking and again started riling up my dog. Again this lady did not seem to care about all this chaos and instead handed me a clipboard and told me in a snarky manner that the email address is written down and I need to fill out all the forms front and back. Since there was no place to go inside to fill these out where my dog would not be reactive, and I couldn't go back outside to the car because the other dog is going nuts in the window, I just said it wouldn't work out and left. My issue is if they care this little about 1) my dog's anxiety during this process and 2) the other dogs that are clearly stressed and freaking out, why would I trust them with my little guy? The bad attitude of the lady that was there was just the cherry on top. First impressions are important, and this place was very disappointing, and potentially dangerous for dogs that need some extra attention.
My challenged rescue dog did very well here. She isn't very well with other little ones but felt comfortable with so many around. The Staff was above and beyond great! Not only did they take care of my Wild girl, but also made the experience smooth with ME. They truly Love what they do and respect every pets human..... They are my only pet boarding in the AV
Ms Cha-Cha's favorite beauty place so much❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
BRING YOUR PUPS HERE FOR A STAY! Wonderful caring staff. Clean, professional, VERY thorough on care (foods, meds, toys, beds, blankets, treats, playtime and type of...). Dedicated. Was visiting friends and wanted to make sure pups away from firework on New Years. The only sort of negative was had to pay for two full days due to holiday. Outside of that? GREAT!
Very pleased with the care and monitoring of my pet! The staff are friendly and ready to answer any fur baby questions. The camera link availability and temperature control was very important to me. I would recommend The Pampered Pooch Hotel for day & overnight stays!
Just got home from vacation, using Fun Fur U for the first time. Kim and Kendall let us know what was happening at every visit. Dogs are very happy and house looks great. Very impressed, and we'll be using them from now on. Great service at a great price. Thanks ladies !!!
Kimberly has provided our family with expert care over the last 10 years! We have used her team for both short trips and long trips and never worry when we’re away from our pets. Our dog has special needs and anxiety and Kimberly is amazing with her. She creates a meal calendar with every detail regarding our pets’ preferences. She sends texts and pictures at every visit and leaves a log with times and notes. I recommend Kimberly for anyone! But especially those with pets who have special needs, medications or anxiety.
We want to share our experience with Fun Fur U-In home Pet Care. Kimberly has been taking of our pets for many years!! We had five babies, 2 dogs and 3 cats and she watched our cats when we went on a vacations. Also our dogs when we were gone all day. She is so caring and I loved it when she would put on funny/cute hats on our pets and send pictures. I loved it!!! I’m one of those pet parents that don’t leave their pets with ANYONE!!!! I know my animals are in GREAT hands and I’m very confident they will be taken care of. Sadly we lost our 5 babies over the last 2 years and she was there to help even when they were elderly and ill. Now we have a adopted cat that she babysits. We are grateful to have Kimberly ( Fun Fur U) in our lives. I know you will too. Gregg and Nancy McClellan
I have had the pleasure of having Kimberly take care of my cats while I was traveling. I can't say enough about her focus on details and the love she shares with them. Austin is a diabetic and she administers his insulin and monitors him for symptoms. She send pictures and provides written documents for your records. I would recommend her to everyone who is actively looking for a top notch professional pet sitter.
Until I met Kimberly and was introduced to her amazing company Fun Fur U, I was unable to find anyone that was trustworthy and reliable enough to care for my two precious kitties. Fun Fur U In Home Pet Care combines professionalism with compassionate care for each individual pet. I have the freedom and peace of mind to travel, knowing my cats are receiving excellent care. I will never use anyone else!
I've been utilizing Kimberly's service for years and she's always provided the most professional and conscientious care for my cats. She makes it a point to engage with my pets, and goes out of her way to make sure they're happy while I'm away. She also does a great job with simple house chores--watering plants, feeding the birds, etc.--that gives me extra peace of mind. She's an excellent resource for pet owners in the Antelope Valley!
Kimberly and her staff at FunFurU Petsitting are hands down the best pet sitting team within the Antelope Valley! I had a challenging work assigment which required me to travel to Oklahoma city nearly every other week for about a year and a half and I knew that even though the job sucked, my lovely fur kids Joey and Maddie were well cared for and loved while I was away. Kimberly sends daily photos when she visits where it was obvious my kitties were thouroughly enjoying the love and attention Kimberly provides, but also had the secondary effect of lifting my spirits while I was away. I cannot recommend her enough!
I found Kimberly to be a caring and professional individual when she took on the insulin injections for our "adopted" Yorkie. I needed to be out-of-state and my husband is not medically able to do these injections. Kimberly entered our home showing love and attention to all 3 of our dogs who loved having her around. She then performed the injection twice a day for 7 days and additionally spent time with my husband to give him a little attention as well. I truly appreciated her attention to detail, her commitment to quality of service and care, as well as her positive attitude. I will continue using her in the future as needed.
Kimberly has been taking care of my boys (shar peis) for years. KIMBERLY is simply the best. She goes out of her way to ensure they are well taken care of. I would recommend Fun Fur U for anyone that will not accept anything but the best for their pets. It takes stress off you and them when you have to go away. I am completely convinced that you can find no one else that will care for your pets like she does.
I don't know what I would do without Fun Fur U. I travel a lot and am always comfortable knowing they will care for my cats and dog as if they were their own. The short report and cute photo that comes with each visit makes me feel closer to home. I can say from personal experience that Kimberly and her team will do whatever is required to handle any, and I mean ANY situation that comes up.
Kennels are super nice! Dogs have access to temperature controlled indoors and outdoors at all times. There is also a large turn out area for dogs to run around. They are always clean. Joe treats your dogs like one of his own. He is attentive and loving. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.
Joe is amazing. He loves dogs and REALLY understands them. My dog goes to 2nd Home twice a week for daycare, as well as staying overnight when I go out of town. She can't wait to get out of the car when we get there. She adores Joe and has a great time playing with other dogs. Joe even sends me texts, photos, and videos, so I know how she's doing. What a relief and a joy to have such a perfect place for my baby. It truly is her second home!
Joe is exceptional at taking care of our dogs. I think they get the best possible attention at a very affordable rate. My dogs are excited to go there and feel like they are going on vacation. Love this place and the care they give our dogs.
Joe really did provide a second home for our 2 doggies! They were both happy and calm after their visit. It was clear they had an enjoyable stay! We love our two little 4-legged buddies and we are so pleased to find someone who treats them like family just like we do! We couldn't be happier with the care Joe provided. He put our minds at ease & we are so grateful! I'm sure our buddies will be eagerly looking forward to their next visit with their new buddy, and we can peacefully travel knowing they are very well taken care of while we are out on our journeys. Just perfect!
Joe is awesome! Dogs came back happy and tired! We felt comfortable leaving our 3 dogs for four days and didn't worry. He even messaged us before we called to check in about the dogs!
We were delighted to find Second Home Boarding. Our rescue Golden Retriever, Sam, can become quite anxious at times and a little feisty towards other big male dogs. Joe’s knowledge of dog psychology and behavior ensures that Sam is calm and relaxed during his regular visits to the boarding kennels. As well as taking great care of Sam, Joe has also provided us with good advice about how to deal with Sam when he becomes anxious at home or while we are out walking. Joe’s great service ensures that we also always relax while Sam is at the kennel, knowing that he is very well cared for throughout his time with Second Home Boarding.
We were super pleased with the great care 2nd Home Dog Boarding provided for our dogs! We rented the “Guest House” for our three large dogs, which included a good sized air conditioned shed and a large, private, shaded yard. Joe is a dog whisperer, and all three of our pups took to him immediately. Joe sent us text message updates throughout their stay which provided us with peace of mind while we were away. Our pups were happy and well when we picked them up. We will definitely use 2nd Home again!
Joe is awesome! He took excellent care of our Ruby while we were away. He was very communicative and friendly. He is not just a "babysitter", he truly understands dogs and their behaviors. Ruby was well taken care of from the moment she arrived and we were worry-free on our trip. When we picked Ruby up, it was obvious that she was at ease and happily exhausted from playing and running around! We will definitely have Ruby stay at 2nd Home again and I'm sure she'll be excited to go back! Thank you, Joe!
Joe was fantastic. He provides great care for your dog. More importantly, he allows you to be comfortable while away knowing that your pup is safe and being taken care of. You wont be disappointed.
2nd Home best place to leave our doggos! Joe is very professional, friendly and energetic. He took very good care of our 2 boxers while we were away for 6 days. Joe followed up to let us kwow our doggos were doing just fine, that gave us peace of mind. Most importantly, Odie & Pearl enjoyed getting the attention and care. I also liked the convenience of being a local business. Thank you very much Joe. We definetly recommend 2nd home.
I left my little furry baby there for a week while I went out of the country. Not only was she perfectly happy and healthy when I picked her up, but Joanna the owner, described to me how my dog behaved while at the Canine Country Club. So she personally observed my dog’s behavior. I could not recommend their services more highly.
Update: Company called and apologized. Also refunded the extra $20 we paid. First, I was apprehensive to bring our dog here since we are not from the area and I had never seen a setup like theirs (small kennels on concrete pads, not much access to AC, etc.). This scared me overall because it is SoCal and it is HOT! But unfortunately, this place was one of not many options in the area. So we decided to board our dog here for the necessary two nights ($20/night), and paid an extra $10 for two play times ($5/day)... Total of $50. First, I dropped off her vet records a few days prior so drop-off would be quick. At this time, I also paid $25 of the $50 as a deposit- something we were told was required if you are a first time customer. Employee A did not give me a receipt for the deposit but I saw her log it into our account so I didn't think it would be a problem. A few days later, I arrived for drop-off and we owed the other $25 as expected. No problem, now I know for sure that the initial deposit was noted in the account and we are fully paid. Two days later, we arrived for pick-up (around 1pm), and we are asked by employee B to pay the remaining $20 on the account (first, she says she took off $5 since our dog didn't receive play time yet that day... BUT we ALREADY paid in full via cash on the day of drop-off). We explain to her that we have already paid in full. She says she needs to text employee A about the transaction, so we wait 20 minutes while we wait for a response - because she won't let us leave with our dog until our account is paid in full. Well, Employee A must not have logged this transaction into our account because employee B kept insisting that we pay the remaining balance... I don't have a remaining balance. If anything, I should be getting $5 cash back for the play time she didn't receive that day, making my total payments to the business $45, instead of being asked to pay another $20 (including the $5 discount for her absent play date), which would make my total payments to date $70). After two days, I just want my dog back and you're holding her hostage over an EXTRA $20?! I already paid in full... All said and done, this tells me that either: 1. employee A pocketed my second payment of $25 on the day of drop-off, or 2. the drawer was over by $25 at closing and they don't manage their books enough to know that. If you can't manage your money, how can I be sure you'll look after my dog. Learn to manage your business and your finances... Will NEVER bring my dog here again.
My dog and cat love this place I’ve been taken them here for years whenever I have to go on vacation or out of town. The food is included and have other add ons
I've been brining my dog here for over 5 years. Wonderful staff. They are great from checking in to caring for my dog to picking him up. I never worry about my pet when on vacation.
Courteous, friendly & professional care at all times. My dog loves it.
The best hotel for my dog! He’s always super excited to go and has a great time. Great staff and they’re always in communication when needed.
Well cant complain. They took really good care of my two German Shepherds. The last place I boarded them at did something to one of them. He acted weird for a week after. I wasn't sure how they would act with the other dogs so I dropped them off for two hours a couple of days before. She said they were great. Unfortunately they didn't get a lot of yard time because it was super hot that weekend. This will definitely be their permanent boarding facility for now on. They also have grooming and day care...................................Well went again this week. I swear while I live here my dogs won't go anywhere else!
Our Pitty loved it! We like the professionalism and loving care for our pup. I also liked that they do a 2 hour evaluation to make sure its a good fit for all. Will definitely use again!
I have a special needs dog and when I called they said the could accommodate her medication. When I brought her in for the "evaluation" (which costs $16 for 2 hrs!), they once again said they could accommodate her and her medication. This was discussed with them in detail and everything seemed fine. So I made reservations for my dog. Two days later they called me and cancelled my reservations. If they had a problem with my dog this should have been discussed then and there. If they are unable to accommodate, just say so, dont lead me on. Thanks for nothing! Place is probably fine if your dog doesn't need medication. They charge by the tablet!
Canine has changed since I first started there. Partly because of Covid. The staff is nice. The last 2 times my dog got kennel cough and this time came home with a tick. Those 2 things incur an extra Vet bill. Their hours have changed making it a bit more challenging to get them on the phone and open times for pet drop off and pick up. Even when one leaves a voice-mail, the call may not be returned. Only one customer is allowed in the check in area at a time which is nice except for those times that a customer has a zillion needs for their pet and then has to go back to their vehicle to retrieve more items for their pet. So plan on the process taking more time. It is a good place but one must "plan" around these nuances.
(Sorry, this is a long one because it’s so deserved) Woody was already my choice of a dog trainer. In fact I choose private lessons, 1/week at my house. After 2 lessons I wanted to slow down our frequency to savor the last 4! 😭 Because my (at the time) 4 month old Siberian Husky/Cocker Spaniel/Rott/Chow (I know, & he’s adorable!) was catching on SO FAST. It was really hard to get his attention because he was so young, and Woody TAUGHT ME how to train my puppy so easily! That is the key, if you choose private lessons, you also have to put in the work to reinforce the training. But it’s so fun to do and such a joy watching my puppy grow, so why not enjoy it! Besides, you got a dog…what did you expect?? This past week, I went on a work trip and left Chico (my puppy) with Woody and his crew at his ranch for 8 days. I felt comfortable because Woody offered Chico’s 3rd lesson to be a socializing experience with some of his mentor dogs and boarding puppies. So I got a chance to see his ranch (mini Doggyland), meet his Lovie and awesome daughter who work with Woody. The mama in me still had a hard time at drop off, but it gave me peace of mind knowing he would be safe with people that LOVE dogs. Woody sent me videos while I was away and it was so nice to see Chico having a TIME playing with dogs in a huge space. It’s clean, it’s dog-proof, and certainly spacious for different simulations to occur without the dogs interfering if necessary. So in short, 10/10 recommend! I just got a new golden doodle puppy and guess where he’ll be training…
He is seriously the Magical dog whisperer. I would highly recommend! Woody has been working with my rescued Sage A Ru- 5 month old puppy for the last month. Also, just after a week of boarding & training my baby will be testing for her puppy S.T.A.R certification. When we first started with Woody I didn’t want to go all in as I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision with the right trainer. I made the right decision for sure! His understanding and love for my fur baby makes him an amazing trainer. No yelling. No beating. No negative reinforcements. He is also educating me in working with my puppy. Overall has been a positive life changer for my family and my puppy. I highly recommend his services to anyone for dog training or for one-on-one dog training sessions. Magical Vibes only!!
This is your neighbor across the street. Can you please do something about the noise? The dogs bark for hours per day. We can't have our windows open or sit outside ever anymore without being bothered by dogs barking loudly and persistently. That open air kennel that the dogs are in so often should be enclosed. I don't even know how a boarding kennel can be allowed in a neighborhood.
I cannot recommend Arrow Custom Dog Training and Services enough. Woody, the owner, successfully matched my daughter to a wonderful dog they had rescued from an animal shelter. My daughter is 24-years-old and has struggled with ADHD, anxiety and depression for years. Woody and his assistant, Lorenzo, trained my daughter and her dog to work as a team so my daughter feels love and support 24 hours a day. They trained her dog for specific tasks, to meet her personal needs. This was especially important to help her manage going to college out-of-state and living on her own for the first time ever. Woody and Lorenzo were flexible and kind and knew just how to give my daughter the practice and support she needed to finish the training on time to fly back to school with her Certified Psychiatric Service Dog, her constant companion now. I will be forever grateful to Woody and Lorenzo for how well they treated us through this process. They are wonderful human beings offering an important service for both people and dogs.
Woody is a dedicated and dedicated and gifted dog trainer. He quickly assessed our rescue dog’s behavior and outlined a course of action. After six months of training our dog’s behavior has dramatically improved and is now well socialized with other dogs. He also has a nice way of training the owners too. I highly recommend Woody for dog training.
If you have a problem dog or need specialty training, this is where you need to go. These trainers are extremely experienced and there’s nothing they haven’t seen. If you need inpatient training your dog will live in the house with their family, not in a kennel. In our case, due to a long wait for a military PTSD service dog, we elected to raise our own. Amazing what these trainers are capable of doing in just a few months. Highly recommend.
We’ve been working with Woody Arrowood for a few months. Our year old goldendoodle had most of his basic obedience in place, and a few bad habits to unravel. From the minute they met, Woody had our dog under his command and fully focused. We went from about a dozen solid commands to approximately 50 within months. As a service dog prospect, it’s been critical for our pup to be attentive and well behaved. Woody’s insights, experience, and dog handling were just what we needed to get our dog to the next level. Woody is credentialed, and able to proctor Canine Good Citizenship exams personally. He will problem solve, work with you on your specific needs, and help you meet your training goals, whatever they may be. In addition, Woody will help you determine your dog’s full potential, and may suggest goals you haven’t imagined.
Woody is an excellent dog trainer and a pleasure to deal with. However, I’m concerned that our dog Bailey likes Woody more than me.
Fantastic staff and great with dogs!

mastiff owner and handler
Thank you for the great review!
Thanks for the rating!
All I have boarded is a Cat, and it's wonderful for a Cat. It doesn't look nice from the street but honestly the Cat house is great and the ladies are very nice. I have been boarding my Cats here for years now.
They are cheaper than a lot of other vets and the staff is very nice .
We have bought all 3 of our golden doodles from tropico kennels the experience has been amazing our first 2 are now 9 years old and we just bought our third he arrived yesterday we love him thanks for everything Lisa your the best.
Lisa and Fred are the BEST! Highly, highly recommend! Our mini-goldendoodle is AMAZING - she is the greatest dog. Adorable, super smart and trainable, loving...She's perfect and has made our family so happy! Our son has dog allergies and he's been fine with our pup! Lisa and Fred were great to work with throughout the process. We were able to meet the mom and dad of the litter (even the grandma!) which was important to us. Lisa sent photos to us as our pup got bigger and even let us come visit a couple times before it was time to bring her home. They also sent us lots of great information that helped make the transition home easy and smooth. Can't say enough great things!
I’m more than happy with the whole experience Lisa and Fred, made the process nice and easy. Originally got the puppy for my daughter’s birthday but we all fell in love with her right away so now we are planning on a second one for us 🙏 …
ON March 8th 2020 we brought our lovely Goldendoodle home from Lisa and Fred's home. The adoption was quick and seamless. We picked the puppy we wanted, sent in a "good faith" deposit, and went to pick up our puppy. She was better looking in person and very smart and easy to train. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Golden retriever/Poodle combo. The only serious question remains: Is the breeder professional? We say absolutely yes to Tropico Kennels and their owners, Lisa & Fred. They are wonderful people, kind, patient and have a wonderful website full of very good information. Read it all before you proceed, it is very beneficial. Our puppy is happy and healthy, and so very cute and smart. The best breeders providing such an important service with honesty and know-how.
We have been looking into getting a new dog for a while now. I haven't had a puppy for 20 years.... I was nervous about adopting one and which might be right for my family. I came across Lisa and Topico Kennels and feel incredibly grateful that I did. She made the process easy, the education needed available, and made us all realize that we could welcome our new addition into our family. She is very organized and helpful. I am soooo happy we decided on the Goldendoodle puppy. We are all in love. Thank you Lisa for your excellent care and assistance in this!!!
A google search for goldendoodle puppies brought me to Tropico Kennels. Despite the world being upside down Lisa had set up a wonderful system of "Social Distancing" measures to allow us to meet the puppy and become owners of a beautiful new mini goldendoodle. She takes amazing care of the pups and sets them up for a healthy and happy life!
My name is Tanasha this is my name in Chinese. I just really wanted a golden doodle but sadly my mom had a seizure and I had to use the money I was going to get the golden doodle, but I had to use that money for my mama hospital bills Lisa is a good and understanding person. Hopefully when I have enough money again I’ll buy one 😊 …
Extremely rude and unprofessional. They hired someone to do an amazingly appealing website, which is what attracted me in the first place. I highly recommend you do not get a dog from them. Unless you're willing to deal with rudeness and unprofessionalism.
We brought our mini doodle home Oct 2013 cant image our world without her. Lisa is amazing
I will try to buy a golden doodle a mini one, but but I have one question do the dogs have names or can you name them by yourself?
