My dog Rosie has attended DDD since she was around 4 months old. It was a brilliant place for her to socialise as a puppy. Now age 2 she still goes twice per week and for occasional over night stays. Mark and Sindy are very reliable and nothing is too much trouble. I always feel reassured that Rosie is safe and well cared for and she is always happy to go which tells me she she enjoys her time there. I would highly recommend DDD for anyone looking for doggy daycare.

Highly Recommend Dumfries Doggie Daycare, we decided to try our Mini Schnauzer with Mark & Sindy as he didn't interact very much with other dogs, didn't play with toys etc & just over excited by other dogs, he is a different dog now, toys, toys, toys & plays well with others. Professional service, completely relaxed leaving our Woody with them.

Our dog hates kennels, but loves Dumfries Doggy Daycare. It is a great weight off our minds on holiday knowing she is so well looked after. There is lots for her to do in the garden and places inside for a bit of peace and quiet. We also get regular photos and updates to see how settled she is.

My miniature schnauzer loves going to Dumfries Doggy Day Care. He loves Mark and Cindy and the opportunities he gets there to socialise with other dogs. The outside area is large and has lots of equipment that provides stimulation for the dogs and a warm comfortable inside area for relaxing or wet days! As an owner I find Mark and Cindy very approachable and accomodating to any requests out of my usual pattern. I would highly recommend their service if you are considering day care for your dog!

We used Dumfries Doggy Daycare for our two Sprocker Spaniel pups until they were old enough and mature enough to be left for longer periods on their own. We also used their stayover service which was fab too. It was great for puppy socialising, learning skills and was like home from home! They loved it. Sindy and Mark were great at giving us regular updates too. We were able to go to work knowing that they were being looked after so well. We would recommend Dumfries Doggy Daycare to anyone looking for doggy care, genuine peace of mind that their furry friends are being looked after well, and for those looking for the best start for their pups.

For anyone looking for a home from home for their beloved pups - look no further! Sindy, Mark & their own pups are the friendliest bunch. They welcomed our cocker spaniel Steve with love and lots of attention. Steve runs into Dumfries Doggy daycare every time we go - we can just tell he is well looked after and stimulated. He is one happy exhausted Pooch when he comes home. The other dogs are friendly and the team do a great job of vetting owners, and meeting/integrating new dogs Steve with their pack. They really took the time to get to know us and our dog. We couldn’t recommend them more highly - just a fantastic and what are you waiting for?!

Our Dachshund pup Otto has been going to Mark and Sindy since August and he absolutely loves it. They take such great care of him and I am so confident he is being properly looked after. Mark and Sindy are very professional about their work and passionate about what they do.

Tried a few other places within the town and the surrounding area before coming here. They look after our dog once a week and she knows when she is to go as she waits by our front door on drop off day. She runs down the road to their premises which is a good sign! The overnight service is great too, the dog stays in the house with them so I know she is safe, warm and happy. Best place in town by far.

Great environment for dogs, our pug is ways excited to go to Doggie Daycare and always comes away super tired from all the fun she's had. Highly recommend!

Lola has been going to Dumfries doggie day care for a few weeks now, absolutely great service Mark and Sindy provide excellent care and attention to each dogs individual needs would highly recommend them to anyone looking for daycare or boarding it really is all about the dogs .Lola loves it.

Aimie's amazing with the dog, Tigger, my pup, is a little overweight and old and she's done a fantastic job making sure that his walks aren't too harsh on his joints and making sure he doesn't wear himself down too much whilst still getting a good walk in (because he forgets his age and gets very sore). She's suggested tips and tricks about his eating habits which have really helped too! She's even been teaching him a few tricks. Thank you Aimie! I wouldn't recommend anyone else, she knows her stuff and will adjust to all of your pets needs

Tried to contact them numerous times via numerous methods but never get a response. Disappointing.

We dropped off our 2 dogs on a Friday at 16:30 and collected them on Sunday at 16:00. When we booked on the phone we were told that we could collect the dogs at 12 on the Sunday but everything was locked up when we arrived so we had to come back later in the afternoon. This added a 40 mile round trip to our day. When we returned we were asked for £63 on top of the £54 deposit already paid. This seemed excessive so we questioned it. We were then told it would be £54. The initial price quoted was £18 per dog, per day. The cost should therefore have been £72. We were charged £108. For a stay of less than 48 hours I consider this excessive and will therefore not use this facility again. SO, JUST RECEIVED A REPSONSE FROM THE OWNER BLAMING ME FOR NOT READING THE SMALL PRINT. I STILL GOT CHARGED 3 DAYS FOR LESS THAN 48 HOURS SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE BEFORE BOOKING HERE OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET A NASTY EXPENSIVE SURPRISE.

Nice and friendly staff. The cattery section looks fantastic. Nice big area for the cats to stay in and a good long runabout corridor for some exercise. Will definitely be booking our furrball in here next time we go away (if I can ever get over the guilt 🤣). …

7 month old kitten seamed unfazed by his 3 night stay. Was in good condition physically at pick up and didn't seem at all psychologically upset. Settled quickly at home. Appeared back to normal after a couple of hours. Will have no qualms at using this facility again.

Really good wee kennels friendly staff

The previous time when we used Mabie Forest Kennels for our Jack Russell was in September 2019 for 2 nights. She really loved it and was very sad to leave it. We booked another stay for 16 nights in February/March as I had to go abroad. I tried contacting them about 150 times and only 2 phone calls were successfull telling me that my dog was doing great and was eating normally. When we got back and went to take her, we had to pay first the rest of the amount and then the staff brought the dog all skinny, stinking and hair was falling. I could actually see the ribs through the skin. Took her to the vets and turns out she has conjunctivitis either from bad hygiene or from another dog. She slept like a baby for 3 days after that. I understand that it must be stress for some dogs to stay at the kennels but I could at least get a phone call from the staff to let me know that she was not doing so great as I left an emergency phone number in case someone had to take her back. Honestly I could never leave my dog there again.

My cat Pip loves his holidays' here. Steph, Connor & team are really good with him which is a relief to know as he's quite a timid house cat. They go & sit in his chalet with him & treat him to tuna. They are very accommodating & have come to mine & Pip's rescue in unforeseen circumstances a few times now. On top of this he is on regular medication because he has a medical condition & this doesn't phase them either. He tells me all about his holiday on his return home.

Our dog and cat receive excellent care and attention at Mabie Kennels. Boris the cat has his own "chalet" inside a heated building and has an upstairs and downstairs! Baxter the poodle is obviously very fond of the staff which I take to be a mark of how well looked after he is. Having him shampooed and dried for only £10 on the day we come home is an extra bonus and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Winston is an English bulldog who goes to the mabie kennel whenever we are on holiday, he loves it. We are find of him so his care is very important to us and at Mabie he is very well looked after and enjoys playing with the other dogs.

Left our new puppy with the Gibson's for a short stay and he made best friends with their daughter before we'd even left which made our trip more relaxing as he was definitely very happy to stay. (I'm quite sure he didn't want to come home.) We were very relieved to see him so happy before we left. Will be booking their service quite often I think. Thoroughly recommend their service.

Fantastic. Our dogs 1st stay away from us. Chris and Joanne don’t just look after your pet they make it part of their family. We were nervous leaving her but I’m not sure she wanted to come home. We left our precious little girl in the hands of Chris, Joanna and Ashley for a couple of nights recently. They welcomed her into their home and treated her as if she was one of the family. They walked her around the local area and even took her with them when visiting their local town where she received lots of attention from passers by. Chris and Joanna kept us updated on how she had settled when we enquired.We would not hesitate to use them in the future for our boarding needs. Highly recommend. First full day at Gibsons Dog Boarding for our 4 month old puppy Lily today. Chris, Joanne and Ashley were amazing with her. Lily was excited to go there and was chilled and happy when we went to collect her too. They have created a great bond already, and the care is excellent as its clear Lily already loves them. Staying at Gibsons will be very regular for Lily. In fact, they will quickly become her 2nd family in a lovely home from home setting. Thank you and see you soon

Our dog has just come back from her second stay at Gibsons, and we're really happy with the care she's had. It's always difficult leaving your dog somewhere new, but Chris and Joanne were really friendly and put us at ease straight away. Chris and Joanne are very welcoming and our dogs felt at home straight away. They stayed for doggie day care and I liked the fact that they only took our dogs, so not with any other dogs. Gibsons boarding is in rural area so very little traffic with an abundance of open areas, including forest walks. We would definitely use again and would highly recommend them.

Chris looked after my dog for the day while we were down on holiday so we could visit a local farm park. He was so well looked after and has come back a tired and happy dog.. maybe a little too happy.. we arrived to pick our dog up and he went straight back inside as if he was right at home. Thank you so much, will definitely be in contact should we be down this way again.

Lovely family, very professional and the place is a great environment for the dog. Our dog was well loved and well taken care of and it showed. All my questions were answered and payment is also straight forward. I have just re-booked for our next holiday and will use them every other time. I would highly recommend them!

An absolutely fantastic place for owners who need care for their dogs when working or having a day away. Arlo loves it as well as loving the owners of it too. He can't wait to get there and meet up with everyone. I would definitely recommend Wagg this way if you need day care for your furry friend. It is so enjoyable for Arlo we continued to use it even when working from home during lockdown.

We left our 2 whippet Joey and Oscar at damhead whilst we went on holiday. They were so loved and looked after. Very well exercised and plenty of night time snuggles. Nothing was too much hassle as this was the first time we had left our pampered pooches and anytime we contacted we got a timely response in checking in about the dogs. Couldn't recommend highly enough. It's hard to put your trust in people when it comes to your pets but i would definitely trust viv and the team now to care for them when needed. Location was nice and rural which suits our 2 to a tea. Excellent local kennel service. Hidden treasure. Thanks again.

Very good care of my very old cat, including seeking telephone advice from his usual vet when he was unwell. Quiet rural location, but road up is narrow, so not ideal for caravans or motorhome, although turning space and ample parking once you get there. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We recently placed our kitten Elsie at Damhead Cattery and Kennels and cannot recommend them more highly. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming when we dropped her off taking great care to ascertain any requirements she may have. We loved the photo’s that were posted daily on their Facebook page of how our own pet and others were enjoying their time there. It is clear that Elsie has been extremely well cared for and given lots of attention. We will most definitely be using Damhead Cattery and Kennels again in the future.

Not the first time we've used Damhead for our cats. Staff always very friendly & polite. Happy with the way our cats seem to have been looked after during their stay there. Only downside is, for longer stays, we would prefer slightly larger runs so our cats had a bit more freedom. Overall very happy & would definitely take our cats here again.

Our dog loved going to stay here. She has to be on daily medication which was no problem for Damhead. She's come back a very happy dog and would reccomend them

We left our Retriever at Damhead Kennels overnight, and we picked him up today. Very friendly helpful staff, and Percy had clearly been well looked after. Highly recommended!

We have been using these Kennels for almost two years - one word Brilliant - our dog needs meds every day and nothing is a problem. Even when hubby broke his ankle last year in 3 places they came to our home and picked our beloved dog up - cannot praise them enough. Staff are just the best.

We stopped here on our way West to give the dogs a break on a very hot day. It's a lovely field with a mix of open grass, good shade, trees and activity equipment. Fresh water and seats for humans too. Also some cows in the next field, who came to say hello. There's a shed with tea and coffee, or a Starbucks with toilets and a petrol station just across the road. We'll stop here again next time we're passing through.

Great place for the dogs. Lots of space and toys for them to play with. Handy double gate so there is no chance of your dog running into the car park. Would highly recommend!

I was looking for somewhere to exercise my dog on our return journey from Scotland to North Yorkshire. I was really pleased to find Doggy Dreamland. Although it’s not the biggest dog field we’ve ever visited, we really enjoyed an hour of ball throwing & running around. The tea making facilities were very welcome as were the doggy treats. Will return on our next visit to Scotland.

We've got a rescue who is very reactive to other dogs. This is ideal to let him off the lead and have a good run about. Totally secure, water and treats available for your dog, and tea and coffee for you. We'll definitely be back.

Great little find in Dumfries, perfect of our escape artist! Was a little too hot yesterday, could do with the addition of doggy paddling pool in hot weather.

Our dogs were due to be booked in here next week & even last night everything was fine and she was happy for the dogs to attend. Fast forward not even 24 hours & she was no longer willing to accommodate our bigger crossbreed dog (not part of the XL family) but she used this as an excuse. She said she would like meet the dog first & would arrange this when she had availability. 10 minutes later, she emailed to cancel the booking. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! EDITED to add that this 'professional' was told of Deanos breed when booking but apparently never took any details of this nor recall it all. We have all the emails to prove different.
