Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Janet and Bob were great to our pups and our home! They were our first sitters so we weren’t really sure what we were getting into, but they made it an awesome experience! They are coming back to stay with our dogs again in August. Definitely trust them with your fur babies!! 🐾🐶
Angela provided complicated medical care for my sick dog for three weeks in Mexico City with the utmost professionalism and kindness Right before Angela’s arrival, my dog was hospitalized and almost died. Angela took care of follow up vets visits, administered eight medicines a day for two weeks, and nursed tico completely back to health I could tell from the photos and videos that she was taking excellent care of him - he was too weak to walk so she made a comfy bed for him in a large bag and carried him a over the city so he could still have fun during his recovery I could not recommend Ángela more. She went so far above and beyond what a pet sitter should do, and she did it all with a caring and capable attitude
Cyndi was fabulous. I'd describe her as the no fuss no muss dog sitter. While some dog sitters need guidance on every little detail, Cyndi was completely self-sufficient. She left the home in perfect shape and totally adored my pup. I'd gladly welcome her back anytime!
Jo & David were absolutely amazing sitters for our house and dog Rosie while we were out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. They are the best! Jo was super communicative and responsive at all times. She and David bonded with our dog, who grew very attached to them. They left our house super clean (and there were even chocolate chip cookies for us on our return)! Most of all, they are just super nice people and very easy to work with. Anyone is lucky to have JoAnna & David housesit for them.
We initially accepted Deirdre and Jason for a long stay to look after our dogs. We were very happy they accepted. A few weeks later we realized we needed another sitter for another trip we had planned. So, we posted more dates on zeewoi. To our happy surprise, Deirdre and Jason reached out to us saying they could also look after our dogs and home with the new dates we posted. This made our life much easier and we were very confident to have Deirdre and Jason stay longer with us and care for our dogs. We were definitely right!! D&J have countless experiences on zeewoi with very good reviews from all of their previous sits. They are very experienced with all aspects of a house/pet sitting. D&J are very self-sufficient, have the background knowledge and education of pet care, and most importantly a genuine love for all animals. This is most important for my wife and I. We knew from the first meeting with our pups they loved animals. Communication was excellent. The process before and during our sit was stress-free for us. We were given daily updates on our dogs including photos and videos. Any concerns D&J had were vocalized to us. D&J are also problem solvers and know how to react many challenging situations. Our routine for our pets was followed immaculately and all dogs were very happy and connected with them. Even our female dog Kinki grew close so quickly with D&J which is very rare. We had ZERO issues while we were gone and we were able to really enjoy our trip while we were away. The dogs definitely love being around D&J. Homecare: We are very pleased with the condition of our home when we returned. It was clean, free of clutter, and exactly how we had left it for them, if not even better! D&J even mowed our grass and took care of our yard! Our yard is not a small garden. It is very big and takes hours to mow. So we were very surprised and excited to know they did that for us even though it's not expected of our sitters!! They definitely went above and beyond what is expected. Our dogs are so very important to us. When we know we can trust our sitters it's the best feeling in the world. We definitely trust Deirdre and Jason with our most prized possessions and we look forward to the next sit with them in a few days!!! We can't thank them enough for giving our dogs the love and attention they deserve. We highly recommend Deirdre and Jason for your future sittings and you can always feel free to contact Izabela and I about D&J for additional verification from us. They are fantastic! Thanks so much Deirdre and Jason! -Allen and Izabela
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
Duha was such a light to have in our home while we were away. She kept us updated with beautiful photos of our dogs throughout her stay and didn’t leave their side once. I’ve never felt so comfortable with any other sitter and I truly hope this won’t be the last time she sits for us.
Lynn and Ray were fabulous sitters, going above and beyond to take care of our home, yard, and rambunctious pup. Leaving him for three weeks was very difficult but we felt confident once we met them. They are great communicators, very professional, capable of handling any situation, and personable. Since they are fully self-contained in their van, they arrived a day early so we could show them the place, have our dog Bailey get comfortable with them (that was immediate ☺), and get to know them over dinner together. While on our trip, they sent us daily photos of Bailey, which we really appreciated, and updates on their activities. They took him hiking almost every day and kept him well exercised. Any issues that came up (e.g., our irrigation water ran dry a couple weeks in) they communicated to us and we were able to resolve them quickly. They also harvested ripe berries and squash for us and even harvested and dried tomatoes in our dryer. We spent our entire trip feeling assured that all things were being taken care of and feel ever so grateful that we found Lynn and Ray through TH. We returned from our trip to a house that was thoroughly cleaned (better than we left it ☺), with fresh sheets on the bed, and a happy dog. Five-star sitters for sure!
We were so happy with Lynda's care for our senior pup. Lynda was extremely accommodating with the key hand over situation we had considering our early flights out of Berlin. She was easy to coordinate with and made this part of the holiday very smooth. We could also tell Sesame was in the best care. We received updates and photos of Sesame on walks and getting cuddles. We know Sesame can be sassy sometimes but Lynda was great with her little attitudes and handled her with ease. It was also really heart warming to see that Lynda truly enjoyed her time with Sesame and created a strong bond with her. We love to know that our dog is loved and treated with the care we would give her if we were home. Both my partner and I were able to fully enjoy our holiday as we knew from updates that Sesame and Lynda were doing well. Our apartment was clean and tidy when we returned and the sheets had also been washed. We would definitely have Lynda back and would recommend her to anyone else looking for an experienced sitter to stay with your pet.
Romina and Ignas took amazing care of our two dogs and home while we were away! One of our dogs, Beau, is extremely high energy and it takes a special person so make sure he gets enough mental and physical stimulation each day. Romina kept us in the loop of his trips to parks and outdoor excursions. She was very thoughtful and responsive during our time away. Additionally, our home was in pristine shape when we returned from our trip. The rooms were clean and tidy and Romina left us such a thoughtful note. Romina and Ignas are top notch sitters and I'd highly recommend them to anyone with pets! Thank you so much, Romina and Ignas. Our dogs were so well cared for and loved.

I was delighted to find Furry Friends for my Cairn Terrier. I know my girl needed extra work but came out healthier and happier. Check out the before and after pictures.
Chantal is the best, my Buddy (cat)loves her. She loves her furries, n prices are fair n her services are a 5 star
My Jake got groomed here by Sem who did a fabulous teddy cut on him. Very detail-oriented and friendly service. Can't wait to see his look at his next grooming appt !
I take my moms dog, Victor, here every few months since she isn’t able to and they are all friendly, attentive people even though they seem very busy. He is very difficult and skittish when if comes to grooming and they handle him like a champ. He always leaves happy as you can see, haha.
We have been bringing our golden doodle puppy to Furry Friends for her grooming since she was 3 months old and cannot recommend them enough. Their puppy groom package was the perfect way to get our pup comfortable with being groomed. She is always so excited to go to the shop and loves being around the staff, and they have always done a wonderful job caring for her. My partner and I always remark on how great she looks after her appointment. Chantal and her staff have always been so professional and accommodating. You can really tell how much they love the animals they work with. Furry Friends is definitely worth checking out.
I will start out and say that the groomer really really meant well and the nail trim was done nice and short…she was friendly, and truly seemed to love my dog- It was just a loud chaotic experience from start to end. Wouldn’t recommend for nervous/squirmy dogs especially small breeds. The lady was VERY loud when meeting my dog and communicating with me. It made my dog evidently nervous and she didn’t adjust her body language or tone what so ever. My dog growled at her to my surprise As it’s never happened in 2 years of going monthly elsewhere many different groomers- especially never seen that during introductions. She used XL nail scissors on my 3lb chihuahua and would hold my dogs paw and flip it over on a very uncomfortable angle. Not letting go despite lots of squirming and yelping to the point I was worried my dog would injure herself. And ok as dramatic as my chihuahua can get I saw the position she’d hold her legs for what felt like extended periods of time between clipping, and held tight in that position without letting go as my dogs squirming. I offered to just call it off multiple times during the trim just because I’ve never witnessed my dog in that state of panic at a trim.
Comedically bad haircut/grooming of our border collie. Inconsistent hair lengths everywhere, large portions around her neck and rear are almost shaved off completely. Her coat went from full and soft to thin and wiry. Would not recommend.
We have been using Furry Friends for years. Recently we brought them a new breed whose fur mats easily. The dog was sheared so closely her skin is now visible through what remains of her fur. We are just learning about this breed but both my partner and I were publically berated by the owner for not grooming our dog properly. Yes, the owner is right, but shaming customers in front of others is unacceptable. We will no longer take our dog there and an owner with the same breed may do the same. Our dog is onlt 10 months old and it is taking her a long time to recover from the shearing she received. Never again😡
Archie had his first ever full out grooming appointment here! I know he must have been nervous but they said he was calm and gentle throughout the process. He’s a silly mixed breed with a double coat, and needs expert care. He looks amazing and we know he’s feeling lighter and brighter heading into the warmer months. We will be coming back here for all of our regular grooming appointments 🐾🐶 Enjoy the before (on pavement) and after photos! He can see!
I brought my extremely fair-tempered cat in to get the full service (shampoo, deshedding), including trimming his nails. When I got home, my cat had bloody paws and upon closer inspection he had at least 3 nails that were left bloody and sore (see attached photos). He is very easy going and trusting so to see him treated this way was very upsetting for us. He’s been trimmed twice before by 1 other groomer in Ottawa and was never returned to us like this. When we spoke to the owner on the phone, she blamed the injuries on our cat and said he must have done them to himself. We said we would have liked to have been warned that this happened but she said she “did not notice”. This is not normal after a grooming appointment. We will not be returning.
Emily provides a great off-leash experience for my dog. He struggles with me sometimes off leash, as he's an oportunistic eater and has selective recall, but he's had great success with Emily on weekly pack walks. It's so great to find someone who I feel safe leaving my dog with. He always looks like he's having the best time with his pals in the updates she posts on social media. Highly recommend Urban Canine :)
I started working with Emily about 9 months ago with our shepherd husky mix, River. She was 2 years old at the time, and had an extremely sensitive and reactive personality. The bulk of our training has been on her leash reactivity and impulse control. The success we’ve had with Emily guiding us has been awesome. River has amazing leash manners now and typically passes very peacefully. Emily is caring, she’s professional, and she’s knowledgeable. I can’t recommend her enough for any dog training goals you have. We’ve been able to put Emily’s vast knowledge to use in many different ways. Not only has it been extremely rewarding, but it’s been a lot of fun. We’ve worked on introducing a second dog to the family without a hiccup, teaching both dogs to be safe around our free range chickens, and teaching River to pull a sled/cart. We’ve also worked on making it peaceful when people come to the house which currently includes little kids and elderly. Our family has plans to expand our homesteading to include more animals as well as a guardian dog. Once that gets up and running in the spring Emily will be one of our first calls.
There is only one way to say it..., Emily is amazing! I brought my 2 year old rescue pup home from foster care at the end of January. He had been abused the first year of his life in Barbados, and had never been on a leash before. Martin was scared of everything and pulled like crazy on our walks. After 5 sessions with Emily, He responds perfectly to my set of commands and he walks perfectly at my side on our numerous adventures. Emily helped me achieve everything I asked for and gave me the tools to get even better. I highly, highly recommend Urban Canine for anyone who needs training of any kind. Thanks Emily!
Apollo exhibited leash reactivity and taking him for walks around the neighbourhood was painful. He would pull, bark, lunge and growl. Working with Emily transformed our daily walks. From the first session, I could tell that Emily was passionate and knowledgeable about dogs. She observed Apollo and I on our walks and created a customized training plan. Throughout the training sessions Emily was positive, understanding and patient. She provided clear instructions on how to train myself and my dog. She never made me feel embarrassed or judged due to my dogs behaviour. After the first few sessions, I started to see improvements in my dogs demeanour. He was more confident, calm and, focused on me rather than the dogs we passed. Apollo has since graduated from individual training sessions to joining Emily on pack walks with other dogs. Overall I would highly recommend Emily to anyone who faces similar leash reactivity issues or other dog behavioural issues.
Emily is awesome - she really knows her stuff! We got in touch with her when our big boy was around 5 months old to help with training and walking, and it was great! She gave us lots of tricks and tools to train him. When we ran into some behavioral issues after he was a year old, we quickly got in touch with her so she could help us. And she did! We can now confidently let him roam off leash and he listens quite well. If you’re looking for a trainer, I would highly recommend her!
Emily ( Operator/Owner) of Urban Canine is the best person one would want to intrust with your dog! Emily provides reliable, safe and personable dog service in Ottawa. Emily is also passionate, dedicated to the dogs and their well being. Urban Canine provides the best daily fun, exercise and experience any dog would want. Thank you Emily for having Abby and Bailey as part of your pack walks. We enjoy the daily pictures posted on Facebook. You Rock!!
Emily is a wonderful dog trainer and a super-kind human. She is patient and supportive with both dogs and their owners. Before finding Emily, we were struggling to train a very spirited dog: she encouraged us to see his potential to be a smart and well behaved dog. We’re so grateful for your help, Emily.
Emily is amazing! My experience with her has been excellent. My dog Rupert is so happy when he comes home after running around in the field with the other dogs. I work from home, but I’ve loved that he can get the exercise and socialization that he deserves during the work day. Would highly recommend :)
Finn has been a member of the pack at Urban Canine for just under a year now, and I can’t describe how much join it brings him. All I have to do is ask him “are you going to see Emily today?” to get him dancing and looking around the room to see if she is here. Emily is prompt, friendly, and clearly an animal lover. She has always been accommodating, and the online booking portal is easy to use. I love seeing pictures of him running around with his friends posted to the Urban Canine Ottawa Facebook page at the end of day. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Urban Canines service. Emily truly cares about her clients and their furry companions, and it shows in the level of service she provides. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walking service.
Emily has lovingly taken care of multiple family dogs for us! We've been using Emily's incredible talent for over 10 years! I can't recommend Emily enough. She is absolutely a dog whisperer! Dogs know Emily is the pack leader when she walks in a room. She is calm, talented and confident and the dogs just know she's the lead. She's also an incredibly hard worker, extremely educated in canine behaviors, an incredible communicator and reliable, reliable, reliable. My dogs would be waiting at the door for her to arrive on their pack walk days with Emily and friends :-) I don't think there is a better service out there for you and your dog/s! Thank Emily!
The absolute best dog daycare ever. Dexter has been going since he was 6 months old. He used to go to give me a break - now he goes because it's his happy place. The staff are amazing and the dogs love their social time. I don't know what I'd do without Stephanie and her gang.
Unleashed staff are very friendly and know how to take care of a pack of dogs! Very clean daycare and I never worry about my guy when I take him. And…they take sweet photos of your pet on holiday occasions! Highly recommend!
Excellent staff and very knowledgeable about proper dog behavior for play on groups. Dogs are constantly monitored and the staff loelve each and every one of them. There are sectioned off areas and safe play areas. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because there is no outdoor play area. The dogs are taken out on leash, for bathroom breaks.
Very happy with this daycare service. I took my 8 month old PWD pup in for his first visit and temperament assessment. He slept in the next day and was noticeably calmer - it was great. And it was so nice knowing that he go to visit with other dogs and have a great day while there. We will be using the service again! :D
When my poodle was just a puppy I took him here several times a week for daycare when I could not come home at lunch to give him a bathroom break. The ladies that work here are awesome and truly love dogs. They were great with him and he loved going. For my dog, it was REALLY helpful for house breaking and socializing him with other dogs. He was so timid and scared of other dogs before this he could not pass one on the sidewalk without shaking and crying but now he loves to meet and play with other dogs. Such a great experience here.
My 11 month old Doodle went in for a grooming 21 days after being neutered. I mentioned to be careful around his recently healed incision. I checked his area the morning before dropping him off and after picking him up I realized a big red welt next to his area. What’s even more aggravating about them not taking extra care near his sensitive area was the fact they didn’t mention it to me. They chose to not say he got clipped and somehow thought I wouldn’t notice? Extremely unprofessional, careless and unbelievable conduct to sweep it under the rug. Do not use this groomer.
Amazing! They are always so friendly, and attentive to our puppy who has been going since he was just 4 months. They send us photos of him at day care and call us to check in on him when he is sick/got neutered - they clearly care. They are very flexible and adaptable to our ranging schedule. Just #pawesome (hahah) Thanks Unleashed!
I could not recommend the Unleashed crew more. They always take such great care of June and I can leave her in their care with peace of mind. They go above and beyond and they send Christmas cards as a personal gift at the end of the year. If you need a dog daycare in the West end, this is the place to go!
I have brought my Yorkie to unleashed many times. He is old. The girls there are terrific. He always looks amazing when I pick him up. He is not at all scared, quite content. Would recommend unleashed.
The only place I trust with my dog. Everyone is great and I get to geek out with the staff and talk dogs when I pick up my boy! Our boy is so excited to go and so tuckered out when he gets home. They screen well for temperament and ensure the dogs get along.
Writing this as I sit on the beach with the perfect dog! The training we received 6 months ago from Laurin was honestly life changing. Our dog has perfect recall and the best manners. She went from a menace who ran away constantly, jumped on everyone and yanked on the leash to the greatest family dog ever. 10/10 reccomend!
We sent Oliver to Walk with me for 4 weeks and ended up extending it to 5 because we were loving the progress he was making and didn’t want it to end …. I’m pretty sure Oliver didn’t want it to end either he loved going! Our dog struggled with barking at people on walks and pulling towards dogs in hopes of playing with them. Walk with me taught him to settle around other dogs and to be neutral around people! We are still practicing but he has come a long way and now has more off leash freedom! Very happy! Worth every penny!
Our experience with Carly from Walk With Me Ottawa was life changing. Absolutely amazing. I cannot put into words the gratitude I feel for having her help us with our training. She has changed our dog (Josie) and more importantly, helped change how we deal with our dog. We have a very big, very beautiful, VERY stubborn 2 year old boxer. She was very nervous/anxious, very excitable when people would come over, pulled like a truck on the leash, a miserable walker in general. She was a real sweetheart at home, but it was incredibly difficult to take her in public anywhere. I was constantly worried about her and her anxiety in public. We tried the hybrid program, where we got 3 private lessons followed by a 3 week board-and-train. It was worth all the time we spent missing her and every penny we spent. I followed every step of her adventures with Carly on instagram. Josie now walks like a dream dog, her greetings with people are more controlled, and her confidence around other dogs and people has changed dramatically. She is overall and a more balanced dog. Just wow. I didn’t think it was going to be possible. I should preface this all by saying, We had previously tried two other popular (and expensive) dog training companies with pretty sub-par results. I truly wished I called WWMO first, it would have probably saved a lot of time, tears and money. We had results after just one lesson. I couldn’t believe it. “Thank you” does not seem like nearly enough, so I’m writing this post to tell the world about this awesome place I found. I’m so very impressed with Carly and the whole team at WWMO. They all go above and beyond to care and properly train dogs Excellent experience, send them your dogs!
Take puppy training!! Worth every penny and then some. Carley was a fantastic coach at Laura and I's first puppy training class. We are new puppy owners of a standard schnauzer by the name of Louis. We were hesitant at first to have our puppy attend class at just 9 weeks old but were so glad we decided to go along with it. There were 5 other puppies in our class. Carley explained with confidence the proper way to introduce our dog to new environments (calmness with different levels of distractions) and helped us learn how to develop a better relationship with our puppy. As new puppy owners we had many different questions but Carley patiently guided us in the right direction and gave us all of the answers we were looking for. The only thing we had wished is that either there were more classes to take (we would pay for more!) or that there was an additional level we could attend as we want to continue to learn even more. The whole WalkWithMe experience seemed like a great group of experienced and caring people that are devoted to all things dog. This is no cookie cutter business that just wants your money. Their expertise and knowledge is worth every penny. Sign up if you want to learn how to develop a better quality, wholesome relationship with your dog. Laura Aaron and Louis
Tiffany Reed @ WWMO Board & Train review. If you’re struggling to raise a stubborn pup, or needing help with things that are much deeper than surface level training, this is your gal. Before our time working with Tiff we had tried other training interventions but they weren’t working for us. We have a miniature dachshund full of stubbornness and a princess-like personality. We struggled with her from a puppy to work on separation anxiety, we struggled also with high prey drive around our three older cats and we were slowly burning ourselves out trying to figure out how to help her. The whole process of working with WWMO has been seamless from start to finish. Everything is done with such care and attention to detail, down to the notes and explanations we get after her time within the Board and Train programme. You get to see glimpses of the huge amounts of fun these trainers and walkers provide for all these dogs and watch your pup bloom in training. Since we have had her home from her time at BNT with Tiff, it’s like night and day. We were once running around all day, everyday trying to interrupt or distract behaviours - We have been provided with a structure and a world of advice, guidance and support in all our endeavours. We have started to see our pup co-existing with all our animals, she is calmer and calm enough that we’re able to leave her by herself without it being a huge panic all the time. Our training has been many months of back and fourth but its been the best experience to learn and grow WITH our dog. We’re much more comfortable to take her places to roam freely with the confidence and the knowledge we have obtained, to be able to safely, calmly and promptly address any problems we face along our way. Our girl is a whole new dog and it’s making our relationship blossom so much. This isn’t a slap-dash trainer; the highest quality care was given to our girl throughout her stay, vast fulfilment and all tied together with a real comprehensive going-home-package which has helped us in the transition into taking back the reigns in training. This is vital information that must have taken her so so many hours to break down and explain; information we come back to time and time again to make sure we, as handlers, are setting our dog up for success everyday and in any situation she is to face with us. This training, and the trainer herself, have changed our lives and improved our quality of life as a family - it’s helped us learn SO much about our pup, ourselves and how our worlds connect. We’d never have been able to get her to the point of calmness that we see now, without the dedicated support from Tiff. I’ll never stop singing the praises of every one of the WWMO team - the work they do and the support they provide (oops, sorry but…we’ll always love Tiff the most and our Pup definitely loves her too!!!). There’s no other BNT programme I’d ever recommend enough, especially knowing the care and structure your dog receives in this In-home programme; it really provided a lot of relief to know she’d be staying with the trainer herself for the entirety of her stay, which was our deciding factor to go ahead with this intervention. We will never be able to thank you enough, you’ve truly been a blessing to our lives and i hope this helps anyone questioning wether this might be an alley worth exploring. Investing in your dog, and this training, will be the best decision you ever made. Fact! We enjoyed recent road trips with our dog where she calmly enjoyed kayaking and paddle board rides, leash-free hikes and handling new situations/places with ease! From two very, very happy dog owners.
I cannot speak highly enough of Carly at Walk With Me Ottawa. She has assisted us in transform a reactive and anxious dog that could not be near other dogs, into a happy relaxed pup. With the training and skills that she was able to help us gain- our dog now has friends, meet and greets, and positive dog to dog interactions. Despite doing everything that we could to avoid an anxious dog, sometimes, it just happens. We had taken puppy classes, done lots of interactions and training but slowly our dog started showing signs of reactivity and anxiety. It reached a point where we were beginning to be nervous about taking her to public spaces. When we first came to Carly we had already interviewed three other dog training companies. We settled on her and the company walk with me almost immediately after meeting. They had other dogs that they would use to help train with, huge amounts of space that we would be able to use (and rent!), flexible schedules, and would come to our house. Carly was clear about what she could guarantee and what we would aim for but could not promise. She guaranteed that we could have a dog-neutral dog (no reaction around other dogs) but that we may not have a dog-positive dog. It was so reassuring that she was confident that we could fix the issues and assist us with other skills (loose leash walking, perfect recall, and more). We tried to buy the largest and most expensive package that the company offered. Carly explained that we wouldn't need it and actually sold us on a smaller package that was a better fit (and less money). We met with Carly for almost 6-months, having about one session every three weeks. Each time she was helpful, clear, responsive and kind. She answered all our odd questions via email and made suggestions and corrections to help us succeed. We never felt rushed or pressured, she was kind to our dog; even when our dog wasn't kind to hers. We liked Carly so much we now exclusively board our dog with her when we travel. If you are looking for a client and results focused business I cannot recommend Walk With Me enough, and ask for Carly!
We had an excellent experience with the day school at Walk With Me Ottawa! Carolina and her team were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Our dog absolutely loved them. We needed help with leash pulling, loose leash walking, recall, and overexcitement around kids. Carolina and her team were able to guide us and fix these behaviors. They answered all our questions promptly and were very helpful with any concerns we had. They took into account all the specific issues we needed help with and provided great guidance. The day school was perfect for us, it nice to be able to have someone teach our dog and then we continue the training moving forward. We had such a positive experience and saw changes in our dog right away. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Walk With Me Ottawa. Highly recommend their services!
I’ve had a great experience with Laurin Fulton at Walk With Me Ottawa. My two Doodles immediately loved her aura as soon as she arrived in our home (and it normally takes a lot longer for my one Goldendoodle to warm up to strangers!) but he took to her by the second lesson; that’s always a great sign! Not only that, but Laurin helped me understand the fundamentals of training and the progression at which dogs learn more complex things in training, like reactivity. I learned way to communicate with my dogs that YouTube wasn’t able to teach me. I’m an avid DIY’er and found Laurin’s teachings to be invaluable in the teaching of my dogs. She gave me more confidence that I can be the pack leader for my pups with time, effort and patience. Thank you, Laurin!
We had 3 sessions (essentially 4 including the free consult) with Tiffany for our 1 year old, Golden Retriever rescue, Briggs and she was absolutely fantastic. Right from the free consult, she was honest in the amount of sessions she thought we would need to meet our goals with Briggs and immediately had a tailored plan in place. We immediately started seeing improvements with Briggs after the first session. After each session, Tiffany would also always email us a summary of what we did and what we were to work on until the next session with detailed instructions. She was also always available to answer any questions we had and was consistently checking in along the way. We would absolutely recommend Walk with Me and especially Tiffany to anyone looking for any type of training for their dog - they are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of canine behaviour. We already have family members who have reached out to Tiffany to schedule their initial consult.
I signed up for a training package with Laurin Fulton 2 years ago with my husky/malamute Keira. I was struggling with her general manners, impulse control, leash walking and recall. Step by step Laurin walked me through everything I needed to know to set my dog up for success. It took a lot of time and patience but Laurin was so engaged and kind and understood so much about my dog, she made everything look easy. I ended up adding on extra lessons and also signed up for her Hike and Learn class where I could practice our lessons "live". She's also boarded Keira and it was essentially a dog party holiday for her. You can tell Laurin loves what she does. She's also incredibly organized and straightforward with all the necessary information you need. She has been an incredible support for me and Keira still up to today. I'm consistently getting compliments on how well my dogs manners have improved and how well she listens and while I put in the work, I got all my guidance from Laurin.
Heather is so kind and runs a tight ship! Our first meet she brought all her credentials and walked us through the different package options. We got daily updates with videos and she took the time to give updates about our geriatric kittens! And she checked in with us for our arrivals home incase things like flight delays happened. Very thorough!
I was nervous about leaving my cats for the first time before my meet and greet with Heather. After our encounter, I could tell that Heather is a skilled and thoughtful petsitter with high standards. My two energetic and somewhat mischievous young kitties were well-cared for by Heather and her staff. Additionally, I think their vacation was better than mine. 😂 You are very remarkable, Heather, and I am so glad to have found you.
The FAB beast Pet Sitting business in Stittsville took care of my cat Parker and sent me daily text updates with photos. Very caring and detailed. Highly recommended ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
We have three dogs and recently needed to go away for a long weekend to attend a wedding – bringing all three of the dogs with us was not an option and we knew the dogs would be most comfortable staying in their own home vs going to a sitter’s home or a kennel. Thus, we started our search for an in-home dog sitter in the west-end Ottawa area. We wanted a professional service company with a good reputation; through our research we stumbled upon The Fabulous Beast and we are so thankful that we did! From the moment we got in contact, Heather clearly laid out all of the options (we ended up going with the “puppy pyjama party” service with an add-on for a lunchtime visit each day) and she was receptive to finding someone within her team who could accommodate the specific needs of all three of our dogs (e.g., one of our dogs has recently recovered from IVDD and needs to be carried up and down stairs, one was a puppy and needed more frequent outings, etc.). During our weekend away we received consistent updates at least twice a day, including photos and videos! It was really great and helped put our minds at ease that our anxious dogs were doing okay. This was our first time having someone stay in our home, and our first time leaving all three dogs in the care of someone else and overall we had a really great experience. We left with full trust in The Fabulous Beast and would absolutely book them again for future trips away. Thank you so much Heather and team 😊
Choosing The Fabulous Beast Pet Sitting to look after my beloved Mojo while we were away was the best decision I have ever made on his behalf! He was healthy and happy for the whole two weeks we were away. I could tell from the daily pics that he was relaxed, unstressed, well fed and clean. Heather and her team did everything possible to make sure that he was safe, stimulated and cuddled every day and they reported, in great detail, how he was looking, eating and behaving. So very happy with this service and won’t hesitate to choose them again.
After moving to Stittsville we were in need of services for pet sitting. Upon reviewing various pet sitting services online we chose The Fabulous Beast and have been extremely happy with the service that we (and our cat) have received. Heather is very friendly, professional, attentive, responsive and our cat loves her which is very important! While we were away we received daily updates and photos. We definitely enjoyed the peace of mind knowing that our cat was well taken care of while we were away. We highly recommend The Fabulous Beast pet sitting services, you won't be disappointed and it will be the only pet sitting services we'll be using moving forward!
Heather and her team provide an exceptional level of service. They have taken great care of our cat on two occasions where we’ve been away — most recently for 7 days. The visits are consistent, daily updates are thorough, and Heather’s communication is amazing. I would highly recommend The Fabulous Beast to anyone in the area who’s in need of quality in-home pet sitting services.
Heather did a great job of looking after our cat. Jar Jar is very shy and did her best to hide but Heather was able to ensure she was still eating regularly, playing and using her litter box. Heather texted me and kept me aware each day of her visits and what was going on. It was a really great experience knowing that someone was so invested in ensuring Jar Jar was well looked after while we were gone. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Fabulous Beast Pet sitting and without a doubt I will be engaging their services again.
Thank you Heather and Jade for doing such a marvelous job looking after my cats. They took great care to make sure that my "babies" had a great experience. Although my cats are shy I have photographs of them making new friends. Best of all, when we arrived home they acted like we had never left them. Yes they greeted us immediately but the "guilt trip" never happened. I will definitely call The Fabulous Beast Pet Sitting next time we vacation. April 2023 We have been using "the Fabulous Beast Pet Sitting" service for several years now. I have nothing but great things to say about Heather and her team. They come to my house twice a day and I receive concise reports for every visit and pictures of what my girls are up to. We "chat" whenever necessary. I am grateful to have such caring people looking after my now elderly cats. I would like to thank them and I highly recommend them.
Heather and her team did an amazing job of caring for our cats while on vacation. The oldest was recently diagnosed with diabetes and we were still in the learning stage. Heather and her team put us at ease knowing that Levi was being monitored and well cared for. The youngest has separation anxiety but there were no issues while we were away. They even were able to make friends with her. I’m sure they miss the attention that Heather and her team gave them each visit. Thanks to all.
If I could bring T&T out west with me I would. I’ve tried MANY boarding facilities around Ottawa, but once I found trails and trails I never went anywhere else. If you’rea crazy dog mom like me, then you’ll appreciate the daily photos that get posted to Facebook where you can see your dog having the best time ❤️ Tampa is a big mommas girl and doesn’t like leaving me, but when we would get to trails and trails she would happily go off with whoever was taking her in and would barely even look back at me 🥲 she trusted them so much and so did I! She made so many new friends and came home happy and tired. One of the saddest things about moving is going to be not being able to bring her to tails and trails anymore, and I will be hard pressed to find anyone as great with Tampa again.
Our Pup seems to have had a fantastic weekend at Tails and Trails. The ladies who work there were all amazing, fun and welcoming. They took care to ensure they understood any special instructions. The daily pictures are a nice touch, and our Pup came back tired and happy!
Pretty upset about the stance these guys took today. After returning from my trip late the night before, I was 15 minutes late and they decided it was unacceptable enough to tell me my dog could never return. While another customer was just picking up their dog as well. I’ve spent almost $1400 in the last month here, and yes I’m not perfect and picking up my dog, but I pay for it with late fees. Which is what they’ve designed into their fees in case this happens. And I happily paid it. Not happy at all, never had this issue anywhere else. I’ll happily bring my dog somewhere else.
If I could have left a zero star review I would have. I left my dog at Tails & trails there Wednesday evening and the plan was to come back at Friday at 3pm. The reasoning for leaving my fur baby was I was undergoing a surgery in Ottawa and would have been gone for a couple of days. I got out on the Friday morning and only had a ride to drive me to grab my dog that Friday. I showed up a couple hours before hand at 1:15pm and as I arrived there were two employees at the front desk and the front doors were open so I walked in and asked if I was able to grab my dog now. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and said she would have no problem with it as it would only take two seconds to get him out from the kennel but would have to call her boss as she is only the store manager, and she said she totally understood because of how severe my surgery was and was not able to drive and my only driver I had was able to drive me now. Katie the owner got on the phone with me and was extremely rude, and not sympathetic to my current condition. I could see if I was being inconsiderate and just showed up demanding things but thought they would forgive my current state as I could barely walk and was in very bad shape. My dog absolutely smelt of urine. And had an awful stench or picking him up and they said since I was basically an hour and a half early they had to charge me and other full day of service. I would highly suggest Katie start treating her clients with a little more respect, being polite and having some sympathy towards her clientele. Do better and I will make sure the few people I know that go there will not be going there anymore. Do better !!
We are so happy there is a boarding kennel close to us that we trust, and isn’t exorbitantly expensive. Both our dogs have enjoyed their time at Tails and Trails and come home happy and worn out. When we pull up to their driveway, there is no hesitation to go in and start their boarding experience. The daily Facebook photos are a big bonus. It is nice to be able to see our dogs mingling with their new friends. We are very happy with their services.
We are so happy to have found Tails & Trails! Our pup is shy and can be quite nervous in new situations. The team at Tails & Trails have showered him with love and helped him grow his confidence. He just wrapped up a 2 week boarding stay and he made so many friends during his time there. We loved the daily photos and the option for email updates. So grateful to the whole team for taking such good care of Snug!
Tails and Trails took great care of our cat April once again while we were on holidays, including taking her to the vet for a minor issue and providing her with the follow-up medication. This is the 3rd time that we have boarded April at Tails and Trails. We have been pleased with the care provided to April and with the daily pictures that Tails and Trails provides of the pets that board at the facilities.
I’ve been boarding my difficult Boxer & my Collie mix with them for the last few years. They aren’t the easiest dogs to deal with but they treat them like family and my dogs enjoy visiting. They were great when I had to extend their stay by a week and very accommodating. My Boxer hurt her ear when she stayed once and they notified me right away and took good care of it. I’m happy I have somewhere I can trust to look after them
When I am looking at their menu how are they charging to give them a treat and a hug ??? I found other kennels who includes this in a much lesser price per day . Spare your money and look around . They can give them them gold in the world , having this price strategy tells me you are in only for the money not for the love of pets and that is the most important treat a kennel must display . Charge to send me a photo and updates ? Ughh … Also see their response to Rustin below . A person gets out from the hospital comes to grab the dog and the personnel was at lunch time . I mean really ? Who does that to a person that was just in the hospital ? Lunch is more important???? Get or attitude somewhere else !!!
The staff here really do take great care of your pets. Whenever I turn on the road towards their location, my dog goes ballistic. Also, they sometimes take care of my cat. You need to understand that the cat is a real jerk and does not like people. They manage him quite well.
We love Jadzia. We have a very hyper Mini Australian Shepherd puppy who loves every visit at Jadzia's Pet Care and really loves socializing there. Jadzia is very flexible and accommodating every time and works with our schedules. Our puppy loves to play with the other dogs there, and we love getting updates and photos of her having a blast! She can be a handful for us, but Jadzia is so great with her. It is clear that Jadzia is very knowledgeable, confident and comfortable with dogs, and we know our puppy is in good hands and will have a blast! She comes back to us happy, tired, and we get a few hours to ourselves. We highly recommend Jadzia's Pet Care.
Jadzia was amazing with pet sitting our fur babies. She kept our dogs engaged and comfy. It’s great to know your pets are in good hands and you can be worry free when using her services. We highly recommend everyone use her services.
Jadzia has been taking care of our pets for the past 4 years, and they (and us) absolutely love her. Our dog is quite the handful, but she knows how to work with her. We joke that she loves Jadzia more than us, but there is a lot of truth in that. She also takes very good care of our older cat. Jadzia is trustworthy and always puts the health and well-being of our pets as her top priority. She’s also done countless favors for us because she is an incredibly kind and generous person. We highly recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pets as if they were her own fur babies.
Jadzia is an outstanding, patient, kind, caring and responsible pet care giver. My husband and I were nervous to leave our 5-year old indoor cat Melody for the 3 weeks we were away, as she was used to having just the 2 of us around regularly. That quickly subsided as daily visits and pictures of Melody enjoying lots of play time with Jadzia and her co-cat-care giver Robin brought us joy and relief. When we came home, we found that Melody's behaviour was even more playful than before we left! I completely trust and highly recommend Jadzia and her team's services and would not hesitate to leave her in Melody's care again, short or long term. Exceptionally good pet care.
Jadzia is always my first choice when I'm travelling and can't bring my dog, Viva, as she provides a welcoming, fun home-away-from-home for animals. She clearly cares about all of the animals in her care, and takes pains to get to know them and your preferences for their care. I feel absolutely safe knowing that Viva is with Jadzia and Jim, and love receiving texts from Jadzia with photos and funny stories that keep me up to date on Viva's vacation. 100% recommend!
Jadzia has been a cat sitter providing daily visits for my little one on several occasions. Whether I was just leaving for a week or for over a month, she has taken the best care of my cat. She is very quick with communication and always reliable. I also really appreciate how she keeps me updated by emailing me pics of my cat after every visit. Can't recommend her services enough!
I have a rescue dog who is very anxious and sensitive to new people and places. I was worried when trying to find someone I could trust with my girl. Jadzia has helped me tremendously with Angel for about 10 months when I first reached out to her as a dog-walker. Now, my dog and I would consider her a superhero. Her love for my dog and the others is rare to find. She is respectful, very trustworthy, extremely reliable, helpful and knowledgeable. My dog happily would spend any day with Jadzia. She has gotten to make so many other dog friends. I will always recommend Jadzia as the perfect dog walker to others. She’ll always send an update about your dog along with photos, which is an added bonus! I don’t know what we’d do without her!
Jadzia saved our holiday weekend! When we arrived at our hotel late Friday evening and found out we couldn't leave our dog alone in the room we had to come up with an alternate plan. We contacted Jadzia and she agreed to take our dog, Skittles. He had a great weekend at her house! He got to play in her backyard and go to the park with the other dogs she was caring for. Jadzia sent us pictures throughout the day to show us how he was doing. She took great care of Skittles and he was happy (and tired!) when we picked him up each day. We highly recommend Jadzia and will definitely call on her again the next time we're in Ottawa.
Jadzia is fantastic! My dog Abby has separation anxiety, and is usually with me or at doggy daycare when I’m at the office. But there have been a number of times that I’ve had plans where I couldn’t bring Abby with me, or have had to travel for work overnight. Jadzia has been a god-send! She is so good with Abby and sends me updates and pictures every day. She’s diligent with Abby’s medication, and has changed wound dressings for her when needed. I never worry about Abby when she is with Jadzia. Jadzia is very knowledgeable and totally understands Abby’s anxiety issues. Abby loves going with Jadzia and the other dogs for walks and just loves lounging on Jadzia’s couch! For anyone looking for a a professional, reliable, knowledgeable person to care for their pet, Jadzia is the best option. 10/10 - HIGHLY recommend!!
Jadzia has watched my dog Charlie many times while I am away and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. He has so much fun staying at Jadzia’s where he is meeting other dogs, going to the dog park and spending time with her dog Loki who is such a calm sweet dog. Jadzia always sends photo updates of Charlie playing, snuggled on the couch or awaiting treats. He has food allergies and sometimes requires medication - Jadzia has been so accommodating of his extra needs and takes the best care of him while I’m away. I couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter for Charlie.
I will start this review by saying that I have no doubt many families have had a great experience with this service. This review is for my own personal experience but I believe, speaks volumes. I used this service for my family dog, while my parents left the country for a week as our dog would have had to be alone at home for 8+ hours. My pup is a charismatic, goofy and bubbly Wheaten! On Day 1 of 5 using this service, we received notice that our pup had slipped out of her collar while on the leash and had run off and they were having trouble catching her as she would start running off anytime they would get near her. With my parents out of town, I left work frantically in the middle of the day to go help Nora and her team catch my dog. When I arrived, thankfully she was safely in Nora's car which was the biggest relief! The interaction that followed is the reason, from my experience, I would never recommend for anyone to trust their pup with this service. Nora accused my family of purposefully not disclosing a misbehavior and purposely loosening the collar in order to force an "escape". The text read exactly "you loosened the collar so the dog could slip out of its collar"!!!! The dogs we have in our lives are not just animals - they are family. They have character, quirks, personality and feelings. If Nora had approached us with the situation, as it was, I would have understood that it could be nervousness, unfamiliarity with new dogs, new people, and even apologized for the inconvenience that my little one may have caused Nora's routine for her business. This is not how our interaction was - forget "unprofessional"... it was un-human-like, unkind! As one dog lover to another, I did not expect this. This truly left myself and my parents, who were in another country, feeling extremely uncomfortable with the environment we had let our little pup go into. Never, ever again.
Nora and Dave take care of my baby Mika like their own, they have been walking Mika for over a year now and it’s been the best experience ever. She’s exhausted when she’s back from her walks and she loves Nora :)
Nora and Dave are the best canine care providers a dog or family could ask for. They have been taking care of Poppy for 4 years and we consider ourselves very lucky to have them in our lives. Poppy gets great exercise, has tons of friends to play with every day, Nora and Dave are like a second family to her. And to us. Poppy is an important member of our family, and we trust Nora and Dave with her implicitly. It feels so comforting to know they care about her as much as we do.
Nora amd Dave we truly appreciate all the care you give to our dog , we are very lucky to have such amazing people like you both. Thank you so much for everything. Vinny is always so happy when he sees you, he comes home in the best mood! Melanie and Vinny
Last summer I was looking for a dog walker, and a friend at work recommended Nora and Dave - they have been walking her dog for years and she loves them. I wasn't sure how my dog Beez would do on a pack walk, so Nora took us on a trial walk with a small pack - Beez did great, and he's been going on weekly walks with Nora ever since. He absolutely loves walk days, and Nora always gives me funny and entertaining updates on how he did on his walk. I can tell how much she loves him and I know she's taking good care of him on those outings. One day I accompanied Nora on her regular walk and was able to see how well she can read the dogs' behaviour and how great she treats them all. If you are looking for a dog walker, I would enthusiastically recommend Nora and Dave.
We have been clients of Nora's and Dave's for over 5 years. Their caring and passion for all of the dogs that they care for is evident in all that they do. Nora and Dave go above and beyond. They don't treat this service as a business, we feel like family. Our trust in Nora and Dave is absolute, as is our thanks for taking such wonderful care of our little angel. I would highly recommend Nora and Dave if you are looking for responsible, caring people to take care of your canine family member. Thank you Nora and Dave.
Nora and Dave have been going above and beyond for our pup for many years . When I was first referred to Nora we were having some behavioural issues with our doggy and Nora took the time to come into our home and teach us a few things to help correct this behaviour. We’ve recently welcomed a new baby into our home and having Nora there to take the extra pressure off with daily walks has been a godsend . But she doesn’t just walk these doggy’s , she loves on them as if they were her own. Sometimes I wonder if our Avery is upset when he gets dropped off at home because he receives so much love and affection throughout the day with Nora . We’ve affectionately deemed her Avery’s girlfriend and we honestly don’t know how we would make it all work without her helping us out .
🐾🐾Nora and Dave have taken care of Teddy a Pekingese and Butson a Chow Chow with Tender Loving Care for 8 yrs now. I Honestly could not ask for more!! Dave is extremely punctual to the point of...I could set my watch by him. I really appreciate this as, I know when my Dogs are home and happily tired out. There is never an excuse of bad weather. Dave is always out there enjoying his hike with his Pack. All I need to do, is come home and enjoy my Pups. When my Mother passed away, I needed to board her Dog immediately. I was so upset and grief stricken. I didn’t know where to turn. I called Nora, her response was, “What ever you need, I am here” You can’t ask for better than that!! Nora and Dave treat there Clients and their Furry Clients like Family!! They are very knowledgeable kind, loving and patient with the dogs. I had a behaviour problem with Butson, Nora and Dave worked with me and my family to correct it. Honestly, I am very happy with this well rounded Company!!🐾🐾👍🏼
I highly recommend them to leave your dogs with. They are very kind, professional and knowledgeable. And my dog is always so tired after spending the day with them because of all the walks she gets! You can tell they really love dogs. Daisy says thank you!! 🙏 🐶 ♥️ …
One of our dog has been going for walks with Nora and Dave for 3 years. We adopted a 2nd dog last week, and she too has been going for walks with Nora and Dave she since she was about 11 months old. They both love going for walks with Nora and Dave and their dog pack. Nora and Dave have also dogsat our dogs, for up to periods of 3 weeks. Our dogs were very happy when they came home and probably missed Nora and Dave more than they missed us. Nora and Dave were recommended to us, and we are very grateful for this. We would recommend them to others, who want their dogs to go for off leash walks, and who want their dogs to be spoiled!
I reached out to Andrew’s dog care business to inquire about services for our dog. I was surprised when Andrew refused to have a voice conversation, insisting on electronic communication only. This policy wasn’t mentioned anywhere on his website, which made the situation unexpected and confusing. If you got so angry about a phone conversation then why didn't your website say anything about a process? What I found most frustrating was that Andrew seemed to expect me to already understand how his process worked, despite there being no detailed information on his website about the business operations. I believe it's unreasonable to discuss booking dates without first understanding how a service works, and also to see if our dog fit with Andrew . Unfortunately Andrew only wanted to talk about dates. A dog is like a child. When I asked for a conversation to clarify things, Andrew’s reaction felt erratic and disproportionate to a simple request. I even tried to be accommodating, I asked if there was anything I could do to reassure him and was offering to write everything down if that made him more comfortable, but his unwillingness to engage in a basic conversation left me feeling uncomfortable. I’ve never encountered a business that refuses to speak directly with clients over something as important as pet care. Andrews behavior was completely rude and unnecessary. We weren't asking Andrew to go above and beyond what is reasonable for a situation like this. Because of this experience, people should think twice about contacting Andrew.
We love Tippy Taps! I'm so glad I found home based care for our dog. Tippy Taps is easy to deal with, updates you throughout the day with texts and pictures, and takes great care of our dog. Pretty sure our dog Lady enjoys going to see them too as she never seems upset when I leave, and always smiling when I pick her up. I never feel bad leaving her with them. We'll forever use Tippy Taps.
Andrew is very professional and positive! We left our dog Charlie with him and his own furry friend Malachite for a weekend as we headed off for a trip outside of the city. Andrew was super friendly with Charlie and kept us informed each day with tons of photos and messages! When we picked Charlie up he was super happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend Tippy Taps Barrhaven for all of your pet care needs. Also best part is they only do private pet care which means your pet gets all the love and attention they deserve! Thank you Andrew and Malachite for making Charlie feel safe and happy!
I’d give ten stars if I could! We left our Aussie shepherd pup Boone in the care of Andrew this past weekend and he had the BEST time. Everything about our experience with Tippy Taps was so positive, Andrew was so thorough and patient with me, going over all the details and taking time for a meet and greet before I dropped Boone off. His love of animals is evident and I immediately felt at ease and reassured knowing Boone would be in caring hands. Andrew kept us updated throughout the weekend with photos and texts and I felt great seeing that Boone was having just as much fun (if not more fun!) than we were having. Boone can’t wait to go back - it’s safe to say we’re clients for life❤️
As with most dog owners we are always hesitant to try someone new with our dogs. We have 2 Bostons, 14.5 and 9 yo, so they are pretty set in their ways. Andrew was accommodating and completely on top of things with our oldest, who just started taking medications. He stayed in our home while we were away for a week and took care of that too. He kept us up to date on all things Boston, and when there was a question he made sure to find out. They clearly loved their time with him given we got the silent treatment when we got back. Always a great sign they were well cared for. I will not hesitate to use Andrew (Tippy Taps Barrhaven) again and will certainly tell everyone about their 5 star experience. Brodie and Dazzler are looking forward to our next trip, so they can get spoiled again. Thank you.
Andrew is an excellent person and a professional pet sitter. He took care of our two cats for almost a month. Every day he updated us about the cats status and sent us pictures of them, they always looked happy and relax with him around. I definitively recommend him for taking care of your pets.
Will is an experienced Trainor, knowing about dogs and knowing the owners and what they need from the training. He is understanding of owners concerns yet clear about what the dog needs. I highly recommend his services for your pup. He helped me with these two very different dogs.
We brought our 14 week old Welshie for puppy training with Will and Kim. We had an amazing experience and can’t recommend them more highly. The training is not run of the mill - you will learn to think like your dog which creates deep bonding that lasts long after the classes are finished.
Will at Dogawalk has worked with both of my dogs on different training issues over the past few years. He has such a way with dogs, and he is great at teaching me how to get and reinforce the behaviors I want in the future. The most recent set of training sessions we had with Will were because of an incident where my dog was attacked by a neighbor’s aggressive dog, after my dog ran up to them (and didn’t listen to me telling them to return to me). We worked with Will for a few months on recall and other concerns. Today the same situation arose again, same neighbor and aggressive dog were walking by, my dogs started to run towards them, but this time, I was able to call them back successfully and avoid a very bad situation. Sometimes it’s hard to know if the training is successful or if it was worth the time and expense. But today I saw the impact of Will’s training in a real-life emergency situation, and I’m so thankful that we worked with him! Thanks Will!!!
Will was absolutely the Dog Trainer we needed! We got our Dachshund during the Pandemic. There was no socializing with other dogs or people and we began to just accept his anxious, reactive nature. After 8 sessions our dog can now walk with structure as well as us being able to handle certain situations that arise. Will taught us as a Family how to be responsible dog owners. It’s a win win! Would recommend to everyone! 100%.
I went to Dogawalk Training and was really impressed with Will's method and skill of teaching us and our dog. We have been back for Puppy training and the next level. Each time we would go, Will would tell us how we sometimes confuse our dog with our instructions or 'our own behaviour, It was amazing to be more attuned to how we act with our dog! Many thanks to Will & Kim, Carolann
EFFECTIVE AND ENGAGING DOG TRAINING EXPERIENCE!!! Recently, I had the pleasure of enrolling my dog with Will and Kim and I cannot be more thrilled with the results. My dog came with emotional challenges and trauma from previous owners. The experience was nothing short of exceptional and both my dog and I have benefited greatly from the professional guidance and support provided. Not only did he address my dogs’ specific needs, but also helped us forge a stronger bond throughout training. Will demonstrates a deep understanding of canine behaviour and psychology, which was particularly crucial for a dog like mine. The emphasis on positive reinforcement and patience played a pivotal role in helping my dog overcome challenges. Witnessing the progress and transformation in my dog was truly heartwarming. From addressing past unwanted behaviour to learning new behaviours and commands, my dog showed remarkable improvement and resilience. Not only did it help his behaviour and commands but Will also contribute to my dogs’ emotional healing and well being. Will offered valuable tips and advice on how to reinforce the training at home and address any new challenges that arose. He even let my 3 younger kids get involved on the training. In addition to the exceptional training experience, Dogawalk Adventures also provided dog sitting services when our family went on vacation. This added convenience allowed me to focus on the training knowing that my dog was in good hands with Will and Kim. We got daily photos, videos and both Will and Kim were quick to respond when asking how the dog is doing. Not only did my dog make new friends but he also came home with a new trick! The peace of mind that came with this service was invaluable and further enhanced the overall experience. In conclusion, the dog training experience for my my dog was nothing short of transformative. Wills expertise, and dedication to our success made a profound impact on my dogs well-being and our bond. I wholeheartedly recommend Dogawalk Adventures with Will and Kim to anyone seeking effective training for a dog with unique needs and challenges.
Will has trained my little Buddy for a couple of years and he is the best! His prices are great and he is very flexible with me on my schedules for training! I cannot recommend him enough!
Will worked with our working line shepherd for a while and would board her as well. Our puppers had a crazy drive and handler focus. Will worked with her and now we get compliments wherever we go. Will is great and I highly recommend him
I gave Will and Kim a dangerous dog, and they gave me back a loving, loyal and obedient best friend. Couldn’t be happier with the attention and direction we got from Will to rehabilitate Paris and turn her into a pet.
Will helps you understand your dog and your relationship with your dog so much better. He not only helps your dog, but the owners as well to bring about positive change and healthy development. 5 stars.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Wyatt and Cristina from Priority Pets. Wyatt took care of my cats through house visits and Cristina took care of my dog. My wife and I were gone for 2 weeks but we were given constant updates from both of them that showed that the pets were well taken care of. I’m very happy with the service provided and I’m fully confident I can trust my pets with them again in the future.
Treated my cat very well, would definitely book again! I got updates regularly, pictures sent to me and on social media. You can trust your animal with them!
