My CKC spaniel recently had three and a half weeks with Barking Mad while I was in Australia. I had no worries about leaving her as I knew from previous visits that the hosts she stayed with would treat her as well as I could wish for. I received regular updates and videos during her stay and could see that she was happy and content. Pauline did a great job of matching her to a couple who are willing to give her all the comforts of home, including allowing her to sleep on their bed! A cut above your normal dog boarding.

I would definitely recommend Pauline and the rest of the gang, we’ve used them numerous times and very pleased my two spinones are very happy to go in their holiday with them and so we can enjoy our holiday knowing they are being well looked after

Great company and highly recommend. Our dog Rodney has the best holiday, it was the first time we’d left him overnight since getting him as a puppy but the text updates and photos put our mind at ease, Rodney had a fab time and came home very relaxed. The owners and hosts clearly really care for animals and look after them as if they were their own! Rodney is already looking forward to his next holiday with Barking Mad and his postcard is now taking pride of place on our fridge :)

I’ve been using Barking Mad for a few years for Frank my Vizsla. He absolutely loves Pauline and his hosts. He’s always excited when they come to pick him up and he happily goes off on his holiday. I get regular updates and always feel confident he is happy, loved and well looked after. I highly recommend them.

We are really happy with the service from Pauline and her team at Barking Mad. She’s taken great care and attention in getting to know our two golden retrievers, noting every detail about their routine and their different characters. She chose excellent holiday hosts for them while we’ve been away; they’ve kept us constantly posted with photos and feedback. It’s so helpful that Pauline comes to pick the dogs up and drops them back home after their holiday, and she is always very timely and communicative. We feel our dogs are in safe hands with Pauline and her team, and it’s lovely to know they are in someone’s home being loved and looked after. We would highly recommend Barking Mad.

Our GSD loves staying with his host family. He is so happy and excited when Pauline arrives to take him on his holidays. Regular updates and photos are great, as we know he is being well looked after which means we can enjoy our holiday too. Would highly recommend Barking Mad Ashford .

We have been using Barking Mad's Ashford branch regularly and cannot praise Pauline Hills, the owner, and her team of host families enough! We have an old dog with various age-related health issues and we have total confidence that he will be looked after and cared for just as we do ourselves. It is a brilliant service and Pauline is such a warm and friendly person to deal with. We highly recommend her.

Pauline and her team respond quickly to emails and requests, and our dog is always excited to see them! He is well-looked after by the hosts and comes home happy every time. A caring and professional service.

Barking Mad are excellent - our little dog loves going to the hosts, they keep us updated throughout our holiday with photos and texts letting us know how she is doing and ensuring we don't worry about her while we are away. Communications always good, always on time, it's a seamless service every time. I thoroughly recommend this as the best way to give you peace of mind that your pet is in good hands while you are away.

We couldn’t be more thankful that a friend recommended Tails of The Lake to us. We went along to see the place and Phil and his team are so transparent about the location and environment. It is nice to see where your dog will be and what they will be doing. Our little man went for his assessment for suitability and was accepted. We love how thorough the team are and how important that cohesion into the pack is. A week later our dog started his journey. He is picked up from home (the team now have a key as we sometimes have to head off early to work in London) and he is taken to ‘dog club’. They have different activities going on throughout the day and you even get photo reports of how they are doing which is wonderful. The highlight of the day is always swimming which our little man LOVES. They are in a natural but very secure environment so you have no fear of any of the pack getting lost. They can get pretty muddy during the day but they get a warm shower and towel down before being driven home. If we are not back from work then the team can let them in and even given them their dinner and the last photo shows what happens within ten minutes of being dropped off! He is always shattered. Our intention was to use this service for when myself and my partner both had to work in London for the day, but we continue to send him even when we don’t need to go in as he absolutely adores the day of fun and activities. He is an only dog for us and so it gives him the ability to have a fun day and play with other dogs. He comes home shattered but so happy (look at the smiles on the photos!). The fun and engagement with others is really healthy for him to keep integrated and comfortable with dogs of different breeds and sizes. We are so thankful to Phil and the team for all their great work enriching our dog’s life. He gets so excited when he sees the van now and we can go to work knowing he is having the time of his life. It really is such good value for money! I would recommend Tails of The Lake to everyone but more importantly, so would our dog!

I've been sending our two boys to Tails of the Lake daycare for a couple of years and now use their walking services too. My boys absolutely LOVE daycare and get more excited when they see the walkers than when they see me. The daycare is stimulating and great fun for the boys. The walks are varied, but the walkers are also safe and reliable. Phil is brilliant at being flexible and reliable, which has helped with us having to go into the office more often. I highly recommend both services for happy doggos.

We absolutely love sending our beagle Alfie to Tails of the Lake and he gets super excited even if we mention Phil’s name. We both work full-time and have a young toddler so being able to dedicate time to giving Alfie long and varied walks is tricky. It’s peace of mind that he gets a full day of adventure, can play with other dogs, gets cuddles and attention for a full day, whatever the weather. The team have got to know Alfie and all his favourite things so we know he’s off having fun and he comes home happy and tired. Another amazing thing is that Alfie gets collected from home and then dropped back at the end of the day which means we don’t have to worry about lining up our schedules. It’s also really helped with his travel sickness and he’s now much better at travelling in the car. We’ve scored 5 stars but we’d give more if we could - Phil even provides a dog washing service which is just the dream. Not only was this a relaxing experience for Alfie because he was in a familiar space, he came home smelling delicious after his full groom and wash, our Dapper Dog! We’re so lucky to have found Tails of the Lake and it makes such a difference to our lives and to Alfie’s week. Would 100% recommend - a place where the team love your dog like their own and just want to help make life as easy as possible!

We are so pleased to have found Phil and Tails of the Lake. Pippa loves her sessions and always comes home mentally and physically tired which is perfect from our point of view. It's great to know she is somewhere safe, with other dogs to interact with and plenty to keep her occupied. Even though we know she can give the team a bit of a run around when it comes to home time it's obvious how much they care about the dogs. Can't recommend Phil highly enough.

Rupert loves his weekly Big Adventure at Tails of the Lake and we couldn’t be happier. We have total trust in Phil and his team. They pick him up and drop him back which is so convenient for us. He has the busiest day with his friends and does a load of activities. The dogs are safe and secure but have lots of freedom to tear around, play games, get muddy, swim in the lake and chase bubbles from the bubble machine. We get photos of his antics and get a peep into his day. It’s great to see him have so much fun. He’s tired out when he comes home and sleeps most of the next day as he’s had so much exercise. Can’t recommend Tails enough.

Phil and the team have been fantastic with our spaniel who was starting to lack confidence around other dogs. They’ve worked with Cleo to build her confidence and we started to notice a difference almost immediately. She loves her days at the lake and always gets excited when she see’s the Tails car pull into the drive way. The pick up and drop off service is really useful too.

Where do I begin? Reggie our crazy Golden Retriever sits in the window on a Wednesday morning waiting for his best buddies Phil or Hannah to pick him up tail wagging with excitement! He simply loves his day out with Phil and the team coming home exhausted but totally fulfilled travelling home in the front seat cuddling up to his best friend! We can’t that Phil enough for the care and fun supplied by Phil’s team and Reggie has developed into a wonderful adolescent dog because of this weekly interaction. We are supplied with regular WhatsApp updates on his day and he simply adores his time with the pack in the lake and the pool. I would trust Phil implicitly with Reggie the best decision we have ever made.

I never thought I would find a doggy daycare that is outside until … I found Tails of the Lake. I e-mailed Phil to register my interest and he e-mailed straight back asking to arrange a phone call. Phil was really friendly on the phone and keen on getting to know Pippa and Cooper. We also arranged a meet and greet where my dogs could meet Phil and the pack. Cooper settled in immediately; loving all the strokes and balls to play with. It took a little longer for Pippa because of her anxiety, but Phil and his team were patient and supportive the whole time. I got regular updates on how they were getting on and pictures of their adventures (which I still get now 😊). Pippa and Cooper are always excited to see Phil, and love playing with their besties, and getting belly rubs. Tails of the Lake allows dogs to be dogs. There’s lots of room for them to be able to run around, play and relax (there’s even a cabin which is heated in the cooler months). The dogs are off the lead so there are no restrictions and there is always something for them to do, whether that be catching a ball, sniffing for treats or cooling off in the water tubs or the lake. Phil and his team are wonderful. They always make sure the dogs have plenty of strokes, water and stimulation. The dogs are the main priority and they are cared for unconditionally. The location of Tails of the Lake is beautiful and the lake is a wonderful bonus! I am so grateful for Phil and his team as Tails of the Lake is the perfect daycare for dogs. It is reassuring knowing that they are safe and cared for but most of all … happy.

Our dog Charlie has been going to Tails of the Lake since he was a young puppy. Phil and his team are the kindest, most caring people and Charlie is so well looked after. He gets so excited when Phil comes to pick him up and comes home incredibly happy and exhausted, which is great to see. Uncle Phil and Auntie Dawn are his favourite people/ball throwers/cuddle givers. The service is really personal and you can tell they love all the dogs they look after. The place itself is stunning and really safe. I'm so grateful that we found Phil and Tails of the Lake and I would recommend to anyone in the area- and I do, regularly!

Tails of the Lake provides incredible service. The staff are friendly, caring and attentive. My dog always has a wonderful time and comes home completely tuckered out. He even learned how to swim! They also forward photos of his day so we can see everything he gets up to. I highly recommend sending your pupper to Tails of the Lake!

was recommended by a friend and would never have anyone else have my dog she is a very nervous dog didnt like anyone new Suzie Usher took the time go get go know her hour at a time walking her with me then slowly she went to her then few hours at hers then over night its took months but suzie was patient and kept putting the work in now luna been to her for 4 nights and soon going for 10 nights she goes a few times a months as she loves spending time with her and playing with the other dogs she gets excited to go to her now highly recommend

Our Golden Retriever Reggie attends Emily’s home every week and has just completed a full weeks boarding while we were on holiday. He loves his time these makes so many new play friends and is looked after fabulously. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a loving caring safe play or boarding setting

I have been using nanny MC pets for some time now and I cannot fault the service I get from Emily , she has gone above and beyond for me and my family of animals , Emily has been with me at the worst times too. The care she has given to me and mine is nothing but the very best . I trust her 100% with my Luna , from the first day meeting Emily I knew it was going to be a great match for myself but more importantly Luna , Luna adores Emily and looks forward to seeing Emily every time ,and I know when Luna goes to nanny MC pets she is safe ,happy and well looked after . Brilliant Service! Obi our Labrador has used various services at Nanny McPets: Walkies (came to our house and took him out for an hour as agreed) Day care - We had to go out for a long day, Obi was collected at 7.30am and returned at 17.00, he had been taken out for two walks, played with his best friends Frank and Apollo and returned suitably tired ... he slept all evening!! Holiday Care: We have also used Nanny McPets to look after Obi whilst we went away on holiday for a week, we had daily updates of Obi’s walks and adventures and details of what he had been up to. Such a peace of mind for our most loved and treasured little boy! He absolutely loves it and always jumps straight in Nanny McPets car.

Nanny McPets have been walking my Rottweiler for the past 10 days while we have been away. They have taken into account all the information I have given them with carful consideration of any medical issues. My dog has returned from his walks both happy and tired. Nanny McPets have been great with communication. I made my booking with them with plenty of time and keept in contact via emails with any updates or requests I had. Emily replied always in a timely manner (even of an evening when I never expected a reply straight away) I will definitely use their service again and would recommend to anyone needing any of the services they offer.

I have used Handy Pet Services on a few occasions over the years when going on holiday to look after my cat. My cat was a fussy eater and things had to be prepared in a particular way which Sarah was more than happy to do. It was reassuring to know that my cat was in such a safe pair of hands, being well cared for. Sarah went above and beyond and even brought some extra cat toys over on her visits for playtime with my fur baby and was also kind enough to send me some photos which was very much appreciated. My cat looked happy, healthy and content on my return and I found their prices to be very reasonable for the fantastic service and care provided. My dog, Flora stays with Sarah and her family at Handy Pets. They are delightful and Flora is beautifully cared for and loves staying there! I receive regular photos of the lovely walks they go on. Sarah is kind and gentle and the family love the work they do.

Sarah is the absolutely amazing! Our Hungarian Vizsla and our mini Dachshund absolutely adore her and her family. We just come back from a week in Greece and Sarah was fantastic at sending updates and videos and checking in with me daily. Sarah at Handy Pet Services is absolutely amazing with my dog's, I cannot recommend her enough. Sarah is patient, calm, reliable, knowledgeable & experienced with dog's that have behaviour problems. I have a rescue Boxer & he is very nervous of meeting new people inside & outside the house, Sarah came to our home & spent time with him so they could get to know each other prior to her visit with him alone. Now they are best of friends! I have used Sarah for a long time now, she visits regularly & I wouldn't leave my dog's with anyone else! Highly recommend! 👍

Since June 2014, Handy Pet Services has taken exceptional care of my dog several days a week. I can honestly say that they have always gone above and beyond when taking care of my dog. On walks, Handy Pet Services always take the dogs on lots of different places and somehow always manage to tire our little girl out. They also take lots of pictures and always keeps me updated of key funny moments so I never miss out. No matter what the weather, Handy Pet Services have never let me or my dog down. Dog sitting, walking and overnight stays have always gone without a hitch over the years. Most importantly, my dog absolutely loves seeing the owner and her her family, she goes mad with excitement every time we pull up to her house, and pulls me to the door. Hand Pet Services is more of a second home for my dog during they day, which always gives me piece of mind when leaving her with people I know will take excellent care of her. Handy Pet Services also go the extra mile in really trying to understand the different personalities, quirks, likes and dislikes of the dogs they provide pet services to. As an animal psychologist and canine behaviourist, I can say with absolute certainty that Handy Pet Services have always taken impeccable care of my dog and all the dogs I have seen them care for over the years. They are professional, reliable and also very accommodating with changes in schedule. I've been bringing my dog to Sarah for a number of years and I can honestly say there is not a better, more safer place for your dog to stay. Sarah gets to know your dog inside and out and makes them feel very special. My dog gets very exited and knows when she's going to Sarah's. I could not recommend Handy Pet services enough!
