I have no hesitation recommending Hounds of the Anston Hills. Jess and Harry are beside themselves every time they see Karen, not only do they adore their walks, but I have the peace of mind knowing they feel happy and comfortable with her while we’re both at work. Recently a family emergency meant the dogs were potentially home alone all day, it only took one text message and Karen was on her way round to let them out on the garden, feed and water them. You only have to meet her once to know how professional and trustworthy she is, and how much she loves and cares for dogs.

Karen looked after our 3 cats while we were away on a short trip and did an excellent job. Nothing was too much trouble and she even posted photos on Facebook so we could see how they were doing as well as giving us peace of mind. A Good, Honest and Reliable service all round. Thanks Karen.

Karen has been wonderful with our 9 year old Jack Russel, Connie. Connie had only ever stayed with family and can be quite anxious but we are so glad we found Karen. Connie is so well looked after and she loves all of her doggie friends. She has been going there for around 6 months and had recently had a 10 night holiday. Karen keeps in contact with us and replies to messages quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend Hounds of the Anston Hills. Our Connie loves her Aunty Karen.

Karen is the best doggie babysitter you could wish for. She’s helped us enormously with puppy socialisation and lots of training tips. She’s helped us raise a confident well behaved pup. We have boarded our pup with Karen too. We were able to leave him and feel anxiety free knowing he was in safe and confident hands. I would highly recommend Karen and we hope to continue boarding with her for many years to come.

Our family has used Karen for both dog and cat sitting and also dog walking. She is amazing with the animals and is always happy to help out where ever she can. We have previously used kennels and/or a cattery thinking this was our only option - however Karen has showed us a better way to ensure that our pets are cared for lovingly during their holiday as well. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will absolutely be using again!

Karen looked after our dog Rocky overnight and it was so reassuring knowing that he was in safe hands. I would absolutely recommend Karen and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for taking such good care of him and for taking him on pack walk adventures, Rocky had a great time.

Sally is an absolute godsend! We’ve left Dexter with family when we’ve been away before and always felt slightly anxious about whether he’d be bored (naughty), sad or eating something he shouldn’t be. We left him with Sally and Mark for a week and didn’t worry about him once. She provides regular updates and photos, lots of attention and walks. When he came home he was absolutely exhausted from making so many new friends! You can tell how much they both truly love dogs and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. All 3 of us (dog and parents!) can’t wait until he can next visit Auntie Sally again.

I moved our Cocker Spaniel Molly to Sally and Mark from Day Care because I wanted a bit more flexibility. I could not have made a better decision, should have done it sooner. Molly absolutely loves her walks and cannot wait to get through the door when Sally arrives. Sally has been very helpful taking Molly daily at short notice to help out. I cannot praise her enough and absolutely know that Molly is a well cared for happy dog whilst in her care. I would now not go anywhere else.

I am so glad to have found Sally and Mark, it came through a friend who recommended them. Their service and care for our cockapoo has been amazing, are dog loves going and as soon as he sees Sally and Mark he can't wait to get into their house. My two dogs jack and billy have been going to sally now for the last two years. Sally does daily walks and also has my boys while we are on holiday. The service she offers is above and beyond. Jack and billy have always been happy and settled with her, and I could not ask for a more a caring and professional person. Her love for dogs is so clear to see.

Sam is very flexible and reliable. She quickly established a relationship with our 10-year-old dog. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a good walker.

If I could rate 10 stars I would Sally and Mark are absolutely fantastic with Teddy. A home from home just what I wanted right on our doorstep. Wouldn't take him anywhere else. Only problem is he may not want to come home as he has such a great time. 😊

Lesley is amazing!! She’s fantastic with both my dogs, especially my golden retriever who can be a little bit of a challenge at times!! We have recently been away for a week and I was a little nervous leaving them but Lesley sent multiple texts/videos every day. The dogs had the best time and I enjoyed my holiday worry free!!!

My dog had a great time boarding for 2 weeks. We were both nervous at first but Lesley made her feel safe and she made new doggy friends. Loved getting daily videos of them all having fun!

Lesley is excellent! my 10 year old Jack Russell has taken to dog walks with Lesley seamlessly. Within just a few days, she was accustomed to her new routine and far more confident and sociable around other dogs. Lesley is patient, caring and super flexible. Great, reliable service.

Recently I needed to leave my dog with my sister which was unexpected & quickly arranged. My sister has been using Lesley as her dog walker for a while. At short notice, Lesley was incredibly helpful in getting all the documentation to me & checking the details so that she could also take my dog when she was booked for my sister’s dog. I’m so, so grateful for the service & care that Lesley gave. Watching the videos she sent was very entertaining. It was so reassuring to see how Lesley is always overseeing all the dogs & talking to them constantly, her interactions with them is lovely to see. All the dogs were so happy & safe in her care. Cilla enjoyed the walk & had so much fun with the other dogs. I’m sure Cilla gives Lesley 10 woofs out of 10!! 🐾

Fantastic dog walking/boarding service. Lesley treats the dogs as though they were her own. Very caring & trustworthy. Would highly recommend. My dog was a challenge for her in the beginning & now he enjoys his walks & has stayed for holidays. She sends videos of the dogs having fun which is nice to receive. Have been using Play, Paws, Repeat for 4yrs now & would not go anywhere else.

Lesley has been looking after my 8 month old Springer Spaniel for a few months now. He’s lively with loads of energy but also a bit timid around new people and other dogs. Since starting with Lesley his confidence has come on loads and he is definitely tired after his fabulous walks. Lesley sends me regular videos and photos of his walks whilst I’m at work which I find very reassuring and I just love to see how happy he is! His listening and focus has improved and he is very comfortable around other dogs!Lesley provides me with a very valuable service as I work 3 long days. Rocco arrived to us through Lesley he needed a new home. He goes twice a week for walks and he’s come on tremendously especially socialising with other dogs and it’s all down to this wonderful lady

My westie Charlie has been going to Lesley once a week for almost half a year now and she is fab! Charlie loves the long walks and playing with all the other dogs and Lesley always sends video updates throughout the day so we can see how much fun he is having! Lesley also offers a pick up and drop off service which is extremely useful for us. Couldn’t recommend more!

Lesley has walked my springer spaniel for many years now, and has always been professional and reliable. I change my hours alot and she has always been great for flexibility. My dog absolutely loves her, loves his adventures and is always happy to go. As a springer he has lots of energy and her group adventure walks are great for him. We have used Lesley for over night boarding too and always has a good experience. Sends pics and videos of his walks too. 100% recommend

I have been bringing my dog to Croft farm for a few years. It offers an amazing and caring service within very comfortable surroundings with plenty of secure field space for the little ones to run around. My dog always has fun with other friendly dogs and he sleeps extremely well after a visit to Croft Farm. The price for this brilliant service is extremely affordable and beats surrounding service cost within the area.

Martha’s first time here today, a trial run for her short stay in July. Martha was happy and relaxed when I went to pick her up, she was playing in the garden with all her new furiends! She’s currently snoring on the sofa next to me, so she’d had plenty of exercise 🥰 thank you for taking such good care of my fur baby Sue and team ❤️ …

Our dog absolutely loves staying at Lara and Liam's. We used them for a week holiday, as well as a day care. Each time the dog comes home happy and well looked after. Massive perk- they take the best pictures ♥️

Love taking our dogs to Lara and Liam, they are treated like family and always have plenty to do. They take them on beautiful walks all around Sheffield and always always go above and beyond to accommodate our dogs' needs and give them a great time. I'm so grateful I can go to work or uni and relax knowing they're happy, active and loved when I'm not there❤️ 🐾

Really good doggy day care and boarding. Lara and her partner took very good care of my rescue dog many times including overnight. He is a bit nervous with new dogs but Lara had him playing off leash with the others within minutes every time. She is very experienced, confident and cares about dogs. She was also very friendly and accommodating to me which I really appreciated. My dog liked her, enjoyed staying with her and would be pooped when he came home because he played so much. She is also open at the weekends which is very convenient.

My dog loves Lara! He gets so excited every time were on our way to drop him off it's incredible, especially as he's super attached to me and has separation anxiety. He's become more confident and playful with others dogs since coming here too. Lara is a very warm and caring person and it shows in everything she does. I love the photo updates too!

Lara took care of our family dog Lilly during our half term visit to the Peak District and she was amazing! It was last minute and she was very responsive, saving our holiday when the weather forced us to indoor activities for a few days and where couldn't bring the dog. She took great care of Lilly, making sure she had loads of exercise and even came home clean (it was very muddy given the weather!). Thank you so much Lara, we'll certainly be in touch again whenever we come back to the area!

Our Red and White Setter absolutely loves going to Lara, I think she’s disappointed to come home when I pick her up! We get updates and photos and I feel 100% confident in Laras’ ability to cope with all her funny rescue-dog quirks. Often we text Lara at the last minute and she’s able to accommodate us, I couldn’t recommend Life on Paws more highly!

Lara was fantastic at looking after our puppy Harvey while we welcomed our baby to the world. We were sent regular updates from walks and what he had been up to throughout the day with plenty of pictures which was lovely. Even asking for a couple extra nights stay was no problem and accommodated easily as well as extra precautions being made in case baby arrived in the middle of the night. All in all excellent service and Harvey will be sure to visit again.

We left Ralph (our 4 month old pul) with Lara for 11 nights which we were initially anxious about as it’s hard to leave your pup with anyone you don’t personally know. Lara straight away put our mind at ease. Every day we had updates and photos, he clearly had a great time and I’d recommend Life On Paws to anyone. Thank you.

It is the first time we have put a dog in a kennel whilst we are away. After 3 visits this year he happily trots in with the staff & is well cared for until our return. Friendly, helpful staff & the bath prior to return is appreciated!

We cannot praise and recommend Jaycliffe Kennels enough. The team have provided us exceptional service which we cannot fault. We have been in the unusual circumstance of needing long-term dog boarding as we relocated to Australia with work. Due to work requirements we had to move earlier than our dogs were able to fly and due to Australian animal import requirements our dogs could not fly out until 6 months after receiving their vaccines etc. We did not have any family or friends who could help look after our dogs during this 6 month period, however we have been so lucky to have found Jaycliffe Kennels. Our dogs are very much part of our family and it was extremely difficult to leave them, in fact we have never left them in a kennel for even a single day before. Jaycliffe understood our situation and provided 6 month boarding at a very reasonable price, but also high quality care. We received regular updates with photographs and videos so we could see how well the dogs were doing. They looked clean, healthy, and happy throughout their entire stay, and had regular walks and secure play outside. They also had the exact food we requested as this suited their diets. Jaycliffe also took the dogs to vet appointments we prearranged to ensure they had their final blood tests and treatments to be allowed to fly out to Australia. The team ensured the dogs met their appointments at no extra cost and they provided us updates following the appointments.

Looked after Normal our older thyme bulldog for 2 Weeks. They did a fantastic job. We saw pictures of him on Facebook that they posted. Came home a very happy boy. Will definitely use them again. A massive thanks from us

Don't do it or be careful. I used to think alot of this kennel but now I think they are rip off merchants, charging for 2 days stay, 2 days food surcharge, 2 days of 2 walks a day, 2 days x 2 meals a day for less than 24 hours care 13.00 until 09.30 next day is a rip off especially when received less than half of that care. Really needs a clear check in and check out time for the price that is stated and agreed

Left my dog here for the first time and she clearly enjoyed the experience. She came home after her 10 day stay clean and well fed, showing no sign of having missed the family!

Had no problem settling our cat back into home like after being here. Polite, friendly and pleasant! Cat pens have good space and encourage playtime. Will use again

My dog has been here twice now and always comes away happy. All the staff are very friendly and the pets are well looked after have plenty of exercise and lots of fuss.

I regularly use Jaycliffe for both boarding and grooming , all the staff are caring and attentive and always give lots of cuddles to my dog would highly recommend to anyone have been using for quite a few years now and wouldn't go anywhere else thank you to all the staff and i love the reg pup date photos while im away

I can’t thank these wonderful people enough, my son was left homeless through no fault of his own , I could take my son in but because I had two female dogs I couldn’t take Dirk , I phoned every kennels I could to see if they could board him but I couldn’t tell them an expected date when my son would be rehoused two kennels in Sheffield just laughed and said good luck it was so upsetting , I found this wonderful place Jaycliffekennels and I spoke to the lovely lady on reception explained our situation and they didn’t hesitate, we took Dirk the next day and he’s been there now for 7 months he’s been looked after by Angels , Dirk now can come home because my son has now been offered a home which is ideal for him and Dirk ,I can’t thank these wonderful people enough, if it hadn’t been I don’t know what would have happened. I would highly recommend this kennel. The owner and staff are really friendly and helpful you could not ask for more for your beloved pets. They have just helped me through a very difficult time, at a minute’s notice they accommodated my 4 Labradors when my home was flooded in October. No fuss I just took them. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended my dogs will never go anywhere else to be cared for. All back home now and as happy as they were before they went.

We have used Sandra and Dave for Bailey our Poochon since he was a pup and he loves it there. Highly recommended .

I don’t usually leave reviews unless the business is extremely poor or exceptionally good. I was gobsmacked to see someone had left Anston Kennels, in my mind an unfairly poor review so I thought I’d leave my review. I have been using them for a while now for my two German Shepherds, I have used a few kennels before, and then someone recommended Anston to me, I thought I would give them a try, my dogs love it here, on the journey, when they realise where they are going they start to get excited. They share a kennel and exercise together, I would not send them anywhere else now, the staff are really friendly and get to know you and your dogs, I just say their name when booking, not mine, and they know who they are talking to. Having our own business, I know that one bad review can stand out more than a hundred good ones. Keep up the excellent work Anston, don’t let one out of many satisfied customers get you down.

My dog spent a week at Anston at the beginning of the month and it’s taken me a little while to write anything up due to how upset I was due to the outcome of her stay. Upon collecting my dog, the owner of the kennels greeted me at his back garden and pointed me towards the reception without letting me know how it’s been. Getting into the reception area was quite shocking. It was a warm summers night and every dog was kept in what looked like a cage with no outdoor space. This struck alarm bells in me instantly. My dog eventually came down the corridor after almost 5 minutes of being told she was ‘coming’. Her harness wasn’t clipped on, the worker told me ‘she’s difficult to get into it’. This doubled up with the fact that she had put on quite a bit of weight just leads me to believe she hadn’t been walked properly or followed instructions as I had made it very clear my dog has quite severe anxiety around other dogs. Upon getting her home, she smelt unclean and had scabs all down her legs. When I tried stroking her, she cowered her head in fear as though she’d been hit. Adding to this, for about 4-5 days after her stay, she was sick and had a really bad stomach, not being able to keep anything down. I’m unsure as to what happened to my dog during her stay but one things for sure, she will not be staying at Anston again

Great place, great communication. My dog was very happy there and looked well when he was collected.

First time sending our puppy to a kennels and he loved it. The booking process was easy, dropping off and picking up easy too. It was clean and they asked all the right questions of what our dog would need. He wqs exercised and they gave updates when we asked. We will defo be back.

Highly recommend Anston kennels. Our dog has stayed over 3 times this year and always looks happy and healthy after each stay. It was great to see photos of him playing in the paddock and they replied to my emails quickly whilst we were away. The owners and staff are really friendly and do treat each animal as their own. Been to a few kennels which were bad but anston kennels is the best by far. My dog always comes out happy so I know he's enjoyed it there. So I would highly recommend this place if you want your dog looked after properly.

Fantastic kennels, they care of the dogs like they were the own. We wouldn't take ours anywhere else.

Called to find availability no answer so left a message. A man called back sounded really put out, I thanked him for calling and asked if he got my message to which he replied oh I don't have time for messages then proceeded to say he prob didn't have availability before he even looked. He was rude and obnoxious definitely wouldn't recommend (had used them before and they were great). Bad attitude and if you don't do messages then don't have an answering service on the only way to contact you.

Really recommend this cattery. Picked our kitten up after she stayed there for 2 weeks and she seemed super relaxed and well looked after. The staff definitely went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. Very clean and spacious. For anyone looking for a friendly, professional cattery, this is the one.

Originally booked in for a one night stay for my father in laws pets for our wedding. All seemed fine at first when booking, however, we needed to cancel the booking as we found one closer to our wedding venue the man was awful. I said we’d like to cancel (2 days notice) and did say sorry it’s shorter notice but we have tried ringing since last week and got no answer. To which I got a snappy response of “yeah that’s what answering machines are for” when I said there wasn’t an answer phone (as that would have been a far easier option than regularly calling them like I had been doing!) he insisted there was and proceeded to be extremely rude and abrupt on the phone. Would never book here and so glad we cancelled!

Nice sized kennel business. I'm not happy that on arrival of an arranged viewing we rang the bell 3 times. It took the owner 10 mins to get to us. Also no chance of getting through by Tel. Either.

Both our dogs are always happy and so well looked after here always go with a wag in their tails and come back smelling fresh and clean absolutely lovely owners couldn't ask for more .highly reccomended!

We left our puppy for the very first time at a kennels, and we were very happy with Kirk View. The owners were very warm and friendly, and it was not a problem having a full tour of the premises when we turned up with no appointment just to look around. All the dogs came forward for a fuss and seemed very happy there. It was extremely clean and our puppy came home just as happy as he went. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
