We decided it would be good for our dog Spot to have one day a week to interact with other dogs. She has so much fun with Tracey and burns up all her energy playing with her new doggy friends. Always sleeps well when she gets back home. Tracey obviously loves the dogs in her care we wouldn't take Spot anywhere else.

Well what a fabulous couple. We didn't want to put our pooch into kennels so searched the web for a dog sitter and came across Tracy and Fari. Felt really comfortable after the first meeting and arranged a 9 night stay with them (for our dog not us !! ) They have a genuine affinity with dogs which is clear to see. My husband hadn't got back home before we had a video clip which really did put our minds at rest and I especially felt happy that our precious pet was going to be very well looked after and go on holiday without worrying. We had regular video clips throughout our holiday and I used to look forward to viewing them as we did miss him as he is such a big part of our family. We were blown away how happy he seemed and were concerned he wouldn't want to come home !! Tracy is very experienced in looking after dogs and even trained Fudge to catch treats which we have kept up ! ! I do not normally recommend but on this occasion I have raved about Tracy and Fari. We won't hesitate to book again in future .. thank you for looking after our Fudgey !!!

Oh my Tracey is amazing, this was my dog first time and at 11 he is set in his ways a bit, but was so happy staying here, he is booked in again in May, Tracey sent me videos of him, really put my mind at rest that he was in a safe, secure and loving environment, would definitely recommend.

A brilliant place, I wouldn’t go anywhere else and neither would Meg, she loves being with Tracy.

We were really nervous about leaving our puppy for the first time whilst we attended a wedding, even if it was only for 2 nights. Needn't have worried. Staff are lovely and understanding and accomodation is great. Heated lamp above the bed area and safe secluded outside area adjoining the room. Staff also post photos daily so you can see your dog playing etc. Would have no hesitation in using again in the future if needed.

Last month our little Theo enjoyed a little holiday at Hurworth Burn Luxury Pet Hotel. When dropping him off, we were taken through to an area all set up for him with everything he needed. We were sent some Facebook photos so we knew he was okay. Lovely staff and good experience. Would definitely use again.

After trying 2 other kennels for our English bulldog and not being happy with either (1st for not cleaning his face as requested and getting a nasty infection that took 8 months to get rid of and then coming back from 2nd one with 2 nasty bites on him even tho we asked him not to be mixed and both places he came back stinking) We had to travel alittle to go to Hurworth but I’m so glad we did. They are clean, know the breed, give constant updates and pics and he came back immaculate. There are a lot of ‘5* council rated kennels around but this IS the one to go to! Thankyou

I was really worried about leaving our rescue dog Hugo but needn't have been. The staff were amazing with him and even fed him with his usual food and kept to the same routine. Well worth the extra one-to-one's also and he seemed really settled. It was lovely seeing his picture on Facebook everyday too.. he looked a bit too happy and didn't seem to be missing us at all! Excellent value for money at these luxury kennels. The rooms are amazing, so clean with heated flooring, tv and a heat lamp. Wouldn't take him anywhere else he loved it. Thank you again for looking after him.

After reading all the great reviews, watching the youtube video of the grounds and accommodation, and also having a reassuring conversation with the owner Maureen, I booked my fur baby in for a 9-day stay. The daily Facebook photos of him having his one to one time and looking relaxed and happy helped ease my anxiety. I was still slightly reluctant to leave Bailey after a previous bad experience we had at another kennel. But after leaving him here and seeing how well he was looked after, I wouldn't hesitate to leave him now. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent. Bailey was in good spirits and thankfully hadn't lost weight as he had previously when left. I highly recommend leaving their fur babies here.

So glad we found this place, very clean luxurious kennels, nice grounds and very friendly staff too. Nice touch was the photos taken of our dogs every day and posted on Facebook, great to be able to see how happy they were and some really good photos too !. The staff here are great and obviously take great care of the cats and dogs entrusted to them. Can not recommend highly enough and would not even consider leaving our dogs (or cats) with anyone else in the future.

Highly recommended. Archie and Murphy holiday at Hurworth Burn several times a year. Its not only the 5 star facilities, but most importantly, the love and care they receive from Maureen and all the staff which have kept us returning year after year for the past 6 years. Each time they are so excited to visit and the photos you get each day (one below) show how happy they are during their stay. Would not trust any one else with my boys.

What a gem, what a find! At last a kennel where we really feel that the team care for our dogs and really get to know them and understand them. Our two boys aren't the easiest to get to know but Maureen and the staff are so experienced they quickly settled in brilliantly. The rooms are great, the whole place spotless and the girls really care for the dogs in their care. Our two are so happy to go in and look so good when we pick them up. Obviously well cared for and we have no hesitation in recommending Hurworth Burn Pet Hotel we won't be going anywhere else now! Thanks to Maureen and the full team.

Very highly recommend!!!!! 5**** I was a bit anxious about leaving my puppy (our dog care unexpectedly became ill) I was completely reassured he was fine. I got pictures every day. The staff were perfect! I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! He even put on weight! He was so well looked after!!

Just collected our cocker spaniel today after he spent 5 nights at the Pet Hotel. Very impressed with the service, facilities and care provided. We had Facebook pictures everyday to see how much he enjoyed his playtime. Would use them again. Staff very friendly on arrival and pickup. We saw his room when we dropped him off. Highly recommend

I can't recommend Lisa and Stephen highly enough. My fur baby Tilly boards with them when I go on holiday. They look after her so well and attend to her medical needs. They provide daily videos of their walks and send regular photos of Tilly. I would highly recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

I cannot recommend Lisa and Stark Treks enough! She has looked after our puppy Milo from the beginning like he was her own. She’s provided us with so much support, guidance and knowledge. I have never worried about Milo when he has been with Lisa and he bounds in on a morning!

What an amazing place for dog care. Lisa looks after your precious dog like its her own . Lisa and her partner send regular photos and videos and I'm sure our dog likes to be with Lisa as much as she likes to be with us. I couldn't recommend Stark Trek enough they are amazing.

Chester and Murphy absolutely love going on their holidays to Stark Treks. Both our dogs have medical needs and we can go away knowing they are fully looked after and loved! Lisa sends us videos and photos every day. It's their home from home!

Lola absolutely loves her holidays with Lisa and Stephen. Whenever we pull up at their house she cries to be in there and doesn’t look back! We've been using Stark Treks for around a year, since our puppy was only a few months old and we couldn't be happier with the service. Lisa clearly loves and cares for all of the dogs she looks after and our Cockapoo (Buddy) is always so excited to see her. We are first time dog owners and often received good advice from Lisa, we know is he in good hands and is well looked after the two days a week he is with Stark Treks!

Duggee absolutely loves going to Stark Treks for his holidays. I feel totally at ease, knowing he is in good hands and he's having a blast. When I go to drop him off, he can't get in the house quick enough. I love the daily updates of his adventures. Duggee has a protein allergy and can only eat a specific diet with only a small selection of treats. At Stark Treks, they really do, do their research to make sure your dog is well looked after and safe. I love that they also use a tracker when taking your dog out on their adventures. Duggee is booked in for his next holiday soon.

I can't recommend Stark Treks enough, Lisa & Steve (and Alfie 🐾) have been amazing with my fur baby Bertie. After trying a few daycare places i was anxious about leaving him while I went on holiday as he just wouldn't settle anywhere; after a couple of sessions at Stark Treks he was desperate to go back and pulls me up the drive every time we walk past the house (whether booked in or not!) His socialising skills with other dogs have improved massively and he walks so much better both on and off lead.....no more chasing after him yelling gravy bones 🤣 i had no issues leaving him while I was away and from the daily video & photo updates it looked like he had the best time too 💙

I cannot praise the Stark Treks team (Lisa and her husband enough. My dogs have enjoyed a number of ‘holidays’ at their home. They are exceptionally cared for and well exercised. The regular videos and photographs of them, on their walks, are greatly appreciated. When I arrive at Lisa’s home, they are excited to leave me and go straight to her which tells a story in itself! A friend recommended Stark Treks and I am so pleased she did. Tip: Get your dates booked in well in advance to avoid disappointment. I have learnt this the hard way!

Used Pet Amigo's cat sitting service for a few years now and been impressed with the fantastic level of service, our 2 cats are happy in their own home and Ian and Jan are brilliant at keeping them fed and watered and looked after including playing with them. They also put the bins out, pick up the mail and water houseplants if need be. When we return from holiday we get an update on what's happened in our absence. My mother in law also recommends the service for her 2 cats as well. Would recommend the service 110% as happy cats can't be wrong.

This is a pet sitting service second to none. The quality of care for my two cats over the last eleven years gas been superb. Jan and Ian are meticulous in their management of the bookings and have always fitted me in often at short notice. Best of all they are real animal people and my two cats loved them and were always so happy and well when I came home. I can recommend Pet Amigos without reservation.

I can't praise Jan and Ian at Pet Amigos highly enough. We have been using them for a couple of years now and they are always helpful, totally reliable and really seem to care for our two, slightly crazy, cats. They always leave a note for us to find on our return and when we went away for two weeks in the summer, they emailed us photos of our "girls" enjoying their staycation! The whole experience is far more relaxing for us, as well as our cats. Brilliant.

Returned from our hols to a very chilled out cat just came to say hello and then she was off again. This was all down to Ian and Jan at pet amigos. Cheers to both and look forward to booking pet amigos in the near future.

Having used pet amigos for a number of years, it is with some regret that i feel obliged to write this review. Our early experience of them was very good. However, over the past two years we experiences a significant reduction in the quality of care. On several occasions, we have returned home to find that our cats had been opening the packets of cat food by themselves and consequently there was off food all over our house. On another occasion, we returned home to find our fridge freezer had been switched off at the socket and we lost all the food stored in there including several expensive cuts of meat. Finally, I contacted them last weekend to arrange a last minute booking. Rather than simply turning down the booking, we received two offensive emails questioning the fact that we had gone away without booking them earlier . Our neighbours were at home and able to visit the cats but we had simply first opted to offer pet amigos the booking. Following this, they have cancelled our future bookings at extremely short notice leaving us in the lurch. They have caused us a lot of upset and distress and we are extremely lucky to not have to solely rely on them.

Can’t recommend Pet Amigos highly enough. My cats adore Ian and he makes us feel secure and happy with photos and notes throughout the time booked. He leaves everything clean and tidy too x thank you !!!!

Look after our 2 cats and you and your pets couldn't be happier, will even water your plants and put the bins out, would definitely recommend them.

Cuba our border collie has had a wonderful week at Centre Barks, the longest my husband and I have left him and first time with Centre Barks since his trial in August. The staff are absolutely wonderful, unsung hero’s, we couldn’t fault a thing, daily photo updates on Facebook, feeding to his schedule / amount, and plenty of walking and attention given for a young border collie. They have so much land for multiple dogs, super clean kennels and plenty of care and attention 24/7. So impressed we are already booked for next year! Thank you again!

Gracie loves her holidays at Centre Barks and loves to play and get fussed by the girls who work there. Our dog has just stayed at centre barks for 6 days (never been left before) and she has had the time of her life! The staff upload photographs daily, so you can always see what your pet has been up to, they are very responsive on messenger and give verbal feedback on pickup to let you know how your dogs health, eating habits and general manner have been. The registration process was easy, but very thorough and they take the health and safety of all pets joining them, really seriously, in regards to vaccinations, flea, worming etc. We are beyond impressed and very thankful that we found Centre Barks for our dog.

My dog Alfie is 15 years old. In his earlier years stayed at various kennels yet was never happy. Centre Barks is so different. Alfie skips in and is reluctant to leave. On a previous visit was really unwell and CB had him to the vet and kept us up to date with regular updates. They really care for your pet. Can’t recommend their services enough.

This was our Cocker Spaniels 2nd stay here and the service is excellent. Very good drop off and pick up times. He stayed here from Sunday to Tuesday while we had a mini break in a nearby spa hotel. We had daily photo updates and he looked very happy and they said he was a sweety pie. Highly recommend

First visit with a friend and their dog to the play field. I can't give it 5 stars because I don't know about the booking or payment information... As I was only with my friend and their dog. I also don't know about any availability of toilets? You enter a gated car parking area (tall 6 or 7 foot fenced/ gated bit). Then you close the gates and can get your dog out in safety (they can't accidentally get out onto the road) The field has approx a 4 foot fence between it's enclosed car park and the field. The field is a reasonable size. It has a shelter with benching and a box of dog toys if you want to use them. There are some dog play items such as a ramp to walk up and down, a dog see saw, a hoop to jump through etc. The field is mainly grass. The external boundaries are all high fences. There is a little hedging at one side. It feels quite private. At feeding time we could hear some of the dogs who were boarding barking a little- they sounded like excited barks not stressed ones. That was nice to hear. It seemed a good enclosed exercise field.

Darcie and Major absolutely loved their time in the secure dog park. Smiles all round from start to finish! Definitely going to become a regular day out for the pups 😁 The lady who greeted us on arrival was lovely and made us feel comfortable. Toys, poo bags and water are provided if needed 👌🏽 …

My boxer dog is a regular at day care and absolutely loves it so we had no worries at all when she stayed whilst we went on holiday. The staff are great and knowledgeable about the dogs. I love that they have a variety of things to do and the fact they got my dog swimming was amazing! Regular photos and videos that are posted on social media are really good so you are updated daily on what a fabulous time your dog is having on holiday. Would thoroughly recommend Centre Barks to everyone.

Can’t recommend the guys at centre barks enough. Myself and my now wife booked our two pooches Rolo and Luna into their doggy hotel for the weekend during our wedding! Rolo and Luna where treat fantastically and where so happy and playful even after the many walks and playtimes they received by the team at Centre Barks!! 10/10 and 5 🌟 facilities and staff are a credit to their facility!! We recently moved to the area from Sweden and one of the first things we knew we needed was to find someone to watch our two cats if we were away. After looking into a few different services where you bring your pet to a location, my husband stumbled on Petpals Darlington & Yarm. We were happy to find a service where people would come to our house rather than us having to take the cats somewhere as travelling can be very stressful for animals. From the beginning, our interactions with the staff at Petpals D&Y was really wonderful - everyone we spoke to was lovely and helpful, and setting up an initial meeting with Jill was quick, easy, and hassle-free. We went on holiday to visit my in-laws over the Christmas period and despite the awkward time of year to work, it was clear from the daily updates that everyone who came to look in on them didn't shirk out on giving our cats time and attention. They seemed knowledgeable about cats - with Jill pegging their breed within a few minutes of meeting them, even, despite it not being a common breed in the UK - and we were assured that if the cats were to become ill that they work directly with a specific cat veterinarian in the area that they would bring them to if necessary. Overall we felt very safe and confident leaving our animals (and access to our home) in their care. We loved the daily updates in particular, with pictures, and when we returned it was to two super happy cats who seemed more calm than anxious. Staff from Petpals D&Y even left them a little Christmas gift that they went crazy for 😂😍. Best petsitting service I've ever used. The price is very reasonable - cheaper than services where you bring your animals somewhere where they'll probably mostly be in cages all day - and setting up dates for them to watch the cats is incredibly easy. Will absolutely be using them again for future trips, short and long, and would 100% recommend for people who are a bit anxious about leaving their furry family members behind on holiday, work trips, etc.

I can't speak highly enough of the service provided by Petpals. While we are away we know our 2 cats are in great hands. They get a visit every day. Litter cleaned and water refreshed. Then they will get a little play time and some one on one attention. Shortly after we receive an email detailing all the exciting events that have happened and a lovely collage of our little kitties. It's something we genuinely look forward to each day we are away. Thank you so much.

This is the second time I've used Petpals and once more I cannot recommend them highly enough. I came back from a long holiday to a content, settled and well looked after cat!! Rachel has been great with him, following his routines, playing with him and making sure he had his cuddles. I loved seeing the photos and reading her daily reports that were making me feel like I was there for a moment. I could tell he has in good hands!!

I did not expect the level of care, attention and obvious affection shown to my pretty independant cat whilst I was away on holiday; Rachel sent me daily reports along with lovely photos, not only did she feed him but she spent time playing with him, grooming him and cleaning him up too when needed as he is long haired. Rachel took the time to tell me how he was on interaction too, playful, mischievous . And on top of that she cleaned his bowls and took all the pouches away for recycling. A really fantastic service all round and I wholeheartedly recommend Petpals to everyone who owns a pet.

I cannot recommend Petpals Darlington enough for the care and attention they gave our two cats during our recent family holiday. I was extremely panicked when we first went away as I've never had our cats looked after by anyone other than family and friends but Jill calmed my nerves and even checked the GPS tracking to ensure our cats were being attended to as planned. Our two were attended to by Rachel and then Patricia during our week away and both ladies were fabulous with them. We have a sickly youngster but both ladies cleaned up after her with no bother! Our cats were fed, litter scooped, clean water and most importantly played with and given valuable outdoor time in their catios. The daily service reports with photos were excellent and wherever we were adventuring on the island, we all stopped to hear the daily updates! We arrived home tonight to happy, content cats, clean litter, filled bellies and a lovely card. Thank you to Jill, Rachel and Patricia for treating my two cats so well and with so much care. Thoroughly Recommend 😊

A very professional service from the beginning. Good assessments done with my fog prior to at services being agreed. I've used their walking service regularly and they have a portal that's easy to update if anything changes with your dog. I've also recently used their dog sitting service. We were paired with a lovely man who I think spoiled my girl more than I do. He was a superstar!! I love that they give you a short report after every walk & lovely photos. It is so reassuring to see that your dog is well looked after. The same with the dog boarding - daily photos & updates. I would highly recommend their services.

Carla has been an absolute blessing. She is reliable, trustworthy, very professional and provides an exceptional service that I would be lost without. To me its such a massive comfort that when I go to work to know my dog will be cared for and the thought of the doggie van coming to pick her up with her other doggie pals makes me feel excited for her and jealous that I’m not there too. From the start Carla made sure she got to know my dog and her routine and gives her such enormous love and compassion and more importantly my dog loves her too. My dog has been going since she was a puppy and the socialisation skills she has gained has been a massive influence for when she is among other dogs. Each walk she is not just getting proper exercise but also having fun sniffing, running, rolling, and playing plus I get loads of pictures and updates along the way letting me know if she has behaved herself. I would never want to be without Little Brown Doggie. Carla has gone beyond her duties many times giving me hints and tips along the way when I have struggled. I think even if I didn’t work id still want my dog to go because the skills and behaviour my dog has gained and continues to gain (and me!) are so important and its been such a great influence.

Carla is a lovely lady and you can tell she really cares for your doggo,'s, love getting picture updates from her to see who my pup has been with, would highly recommend her. Gypsy just loves Aunty Rach :)

Carla has been fantastic ever since we have been using her to walk our dog Millie. She walks her 4 times a week and Millie always seems to of enjoyed her walks and you can tell she has been on a good walk to exert her energy! We are also very grateful for the photos of Millie on her walk which she sends to us after each day which serves as both entertainment seeing some of the fab and funny photos as well as reassurance that you know she has been out on a nice walk each day. Carla also provides very good communication to update us early on any of her holidays etc which allows us to plan effectively. Overall a fab service!

We would highly recommend Little Brown Doggie. The girls are reliable, friendly and it is absolutely clear that they love our dog. Having been customers for a while, the service gives us great peace of mind that our family pet is cared for and well looked after on his daily walks. Carla keeps us updated with photos and it is evident that our dog is very happy in her care. So happy in fact that he looks for the van on days when we walk him ourselves. Amazing service.

We have been customers since our Springer was around 1 year old and the confidence and relationships he has built since walking with Carla and the other dogs is astounding. Carla offers such a professional, caring service that we would be lost with out her... as would our Cooper! The dogs are indeed Carla’s number one priority... they enjoy secure transportation, fun walks in the countryside and the care and attention of a very conscientious dog walker. We have one happy dog while we are at work which is wonderfully reassuring.

We have used Little Brown Doggie for 4 years; Carla is amazing. Her genuine love and enthusiasm for her work is evident and our dog loves going for his walks with her- he adores her. She is super reliable and is very accommodating when we have to change our dog’s walks- even at very short notice! We receive daily photos and updates of his walks and you can see how happy he (and all his doggy friends are) on his walks. It is such a lovely touch when we often don’t see her due to being at work. I would strongly recommend Little Brown Doggie.

Carla is fantastic with our puppy, he's always so happy to see her! She always sends pictures from the walk, the places they are going look very nice. We've particularly liked the fact she arranged for shorter walks when he was very young, even carrying him so that he didn't have to walk too much! Very much recommended.

Carla at little brown doggie looked after my 5 month old kitten whilst we went on holiday. She sent us many updates throughout our holiday which put us at ease and we knew he was having a great time. I think he prefers her over us!! Carla is fab, she even offered to get supplies in for us for our return. I would 100% recommend, and so would my kitten!
