Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Brian is absolutely amazing. This was his third time sitting for us and the dogs love him, he left the house immaculate, and is totally reliable and communicative. We can’t imagine a better sitter and hope he’ll come visit and stay in touch now that he has moved to the area.
Janet and Bob were great to our pups and our home! They were our first sitters so we weren’t really sure what we were getting into, but they made it an awesome experience! They are coming back to stay with our dogs again in August. Definitely trust them with your fur babies!! 🐾🐶
Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing my dog was in great hands, and I could not recommend Anita enough! Quality care, and our apartment was spotless when we returned home.
Cindy is an absolutely fantastic sitter and we feel very lucky to have had her care for our dog and our home whilst we went on our family holiday. Her communication before and throughout our sit was fantastic, and she even took our dog to the vet when he needed an unexpected checkup. She took great care of him and sent daily updates including videos and photos of their time together. We could tell that he felt very relaxed in her company. Thank you so much Cindy - it is a real godsend to have someone so kind and caring to take care of your pets and home and we would be delighted to have Cindy back again in future.
Stephanie was fantastic! Very organized and left our house sparkling clean. She also sent daily pictures/messages which we loved receiving. She took great care of our dog and our house. One of the best sitters we’ve had!
Susan and Jim were amazing sitters for my 2 boys whilst I went to Portugal to play golf. Communication we had prior to the sit was excellent, and we were able to discuss the dogs in detail. They arrived the day before I was due to leave so we were able to have a good handover. They really looked after the dogs well, and my house was immaculate when I returned. I can't recommend them highly enough, just wished they lived in the UK so I could use them on a regular basis. Thank you Susan and Jim xx
Joe arrived some days before I left, so I could show him some nice places in Switzerland and he had enough of time to learn all about the dogs and how to handle them. He is an amazing nice and an animal/natur loving person who took care of my dog with incredible affection when I was in vacation. I could really enjoy it, because I knew, everything is ok at home. He sent me picutres and I could see, how much fun they have together. He cooked for the dogs, mad a lot of nice hikes with them and huged them, when they need it - so he even got the trust from Artu (as a man really not easy). And not only that, he made woodruff punch for me and sowed my tomatoes and spoiled them with melt water. And he helped also the women which looked after the horses and helped her to going walk with them. Generelly he is super friendly, so everyone in the village likes him. He is considerate of your belongings and has handed the house back neatly. He is just the best. I'm so gratuful he was here. So, if you have a chance to get him as a sitter, take it. Your animals will be grateful to you and have a good time while you are on vacation. Joe, you're not just a dog sitter for me. You were so familiar to me from the first moment. We had a lot of fun and we already miss you sooooo much. I'm really looking forward to see you again in some monthes.
Robert and Biljana are absolutely the best sitters you could ever get. We have used them several times already. They have always arrived at the stated date and time. They are eager to receive any and all instructions and will follow them as stated. They keep us informed almost every day on our dogs and send pictures regularly. They always go above and beyond their duties. Robert has fixed a few things around the house without being asked. They buy things for our dogs and have even trained our dogs on certain issues. They made a concerted effort to get to know the neighbors and talked up our dogs to all of them. They will be discreet with any and all information given. We really appreciated all their hard work and effort. They have certainly elevated the bar for the next sitters. Biljana took very good care of our plants and spoiled our dogs to excess. They now expect the same from us!! We will welcome them back anytime. Hiring them is a decision that will not be regretted.
Ryan is a great house and pet sitter and I definitely recommend him. He took excellent care of my apartment and my dog for peace of mind when I was away. He is professional, friendly, and experienced.
Angela was fantastic. She came a day early to meet us and our dog Bella and to get the lay of the land and we so enjoyed meeting her and getting to know her! She took care of our home and Bella with the utmost care and attention. She was great to communicate with throughout the sit and we felt confidant being away knowing our dog and home were in such good hands! We returned to a clean house and she even prepared dinner for us! It was clear that Bella was happy, well taken care of and very fond of her!! We would definitely recommend Angela. She was a reliable sitter and a delightful person all around!!

I have a pandemic pup and while slowly returning to work I tried several dog walking companies. When I tried Lisa and her crew, I knew I had found the right fit for my girl. Christina walks Capri 4-5 times a week, 1-2 times a day. She has been available on short notice when things have suddenly come up with work and is super accommodating. The way Capri reacts when she sees Christina and her pup friends shows how much she enjoys her play time. From hikes to swimming to trail walks, Capri always comes back home exhausted after a great play date. I can’t even say the names Christina, Sophie and Lucy because Capri runs to the window looking for them. Capri is socialized with dogs and now horses as well! :) When Christina has time off, Capri also enjoys going with Kate and Monique. Never have I been worried about my girl when I am at work. So happy I have found this great team! Thanks everyone! ❤️🤗🥰 Photo Cred: Christina on her hikes with Capri.
We have been using Lisa's dog walking services for a few months now and our pup Rey has really come a long way. I wanted to get help with continuing Rey's training and walking was getting overwhelming for me trying to teach her not to pull. With Lisa's help Rey is getting much better for me on walks and when Lisa takes her out she is able to drop her leash all together now which is amazing progress! Rey comes home exhausted and most mornings she is waiting at the window hoping its one of her adventure days! Thank you Lisa!
I think we were Lisa's first if not one of her first clients. Always accomodating, always on time, the dogs absolutely adore her and we absolutely trust her with our home and our dogs. Drops everything in an emergency and brings fun and stimulations into our dogs' lives. Thanks Lisa. Luv ya!!
Contacted Lisa for dog walking services a few months back, she wanted to know who we were using as a dog trainer, I told her and then and received a very rude, unsolicited lecture about the dog trainer we were using and our chosen training methods. All I wanted was someone to take our dog on a walk from the house for once or twice a week, I did NOT ask for training advice. Didn't feel comfortable proceeding. Very unprofessional.
Lisa is the most amazing human. My shy rescue dog came out of his shell with her. He is now amazing off leash, loves to explore, and just a happier dog! We were so sad to move away and leave Astro’s favourite person but had to leave this review to hopefully help everyone looking for a dog walker/sitter/new best buddy! Lisa is THE BEST!
My family got sick and we needed help with daily walks for my puppy. On short notice I was able to get services set up with Lisa & her reliable and trusty team. My dog looks forward to the interactions and I appreciate the daily photos and updates from the walks. It's been a wonderful experience for us. Thanks Lisa, Kate & Christina
I have never trusted my fur babies to anyone, and have always felt weary of walkers because I didn't feel secure in how they would treat my furry family members. I met Lisa and Alyssa while we were all walking our dogs, so I got to see first hand the individualized attention they give their charges. We chatted a bit about different training techniques and styles, and suffice it to say, as soon as they had an opening, I signed my girls up. They provide a service I'm happy to pay for, with regular check ins on how things are going, and behavioral issues, and I can even catch glimpses of my girls on their social media posts, which I love. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Lisa took care of our 2 budgies while we were away for 6 days. She took amazing care of them and they were very contented on our return. She really is good with all animals.
Since the fall, Lisa has come regularly to walk my dog on days I cannot come home for lunch. Has never missed an appointment has been incredibly flexible when I request an additional dog walk during the week. Lisa is truly a life saver. While I'm not often around when she comes, I can tell my dog is comfortable and feels safe when she comes by. Thank you Petplayland!
Amazing team -trusted competent and well trained staff that can be counted on. Part of our family where our furry baby looks forward to the group walks with buddies!
Purple Paws is amazing! Mirela looked after our many animals (two cats, five rats, nine rabbits, one guinea pig and one of our dogs) and did such a wonderful job caring for them with love. We travel frequently and have had a variety of pet sitters over the last decade and have never come across someone who has done such a thorough job cleaning their enclosures, sending us updates, and especially leaving our house somehow cleaner than when we left it. Bella and Mirela were extremely professional and prompt in their communication and we felt confident in their abilities to the point that we truly relaxed during our trip and didn't worry about the health and comfort of our pets back at home. We received several photos and videos each day and our dog got longer walks than we even give him at home. I can't recommend Purple Paws enough!
Bella is a wonderful pet sitter, she has watched my cat many times and cares very deeply for her animals. Definitely a good business owner and good pet sitter, would recommend her
Our babies loved Bella’s visits very much which put our minds at ease while we were away. Bella brushed them, loved them and played with them, and they certainly got lots of snuggles. We received so many sweet photos and videos during each visit as well. Highly recommend Bella and Purple Paws for any fur family care! The process is very simple and well facilitated by Bella with visits before care to get to know each other - this helped our comfort level for sure. We will use Bella going forward so that our kitties are happy and healthy and loved.
Bella exceeded our expectations while taking care of our kitten when we were away for the holidays. It was our first time leaving her for an extended period, and Bella made it so much easier and stress free. She was very flexible when planning a time to meet us, and pick up/drop off house keys. The amount of pictures and videos she sent really showed how much time and attention she was giving our baby while we were gone. Whenever we need a pet sitter we will be calling Bella!! Thank you again!! 😊
Bella is amazing!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was my second time having her to take care of my cat Mimi when I was away! She is very kind, attentive, dedicated, flexible! She sent so many sweet pictures and videos everyday and Mimi loves her!! I will definitely book again next time!! Just can’t recommend her enough!
Bella is the best, this is the first time I decided not to bring my cat to a Cat Hotel and to get someone to take care for him home and this was the best decision I've made. While on vacation I was constantly getting a videos and pictures from her with a very detailed explanation of my cat's routine. My cat was just very happy with her and doesn't missed us at all. I would highly recommend her to anyone who want a good care of their pet and also a very reasonable on prices. I will use her again for sure
Bella was amazing and gave us great peace of mind so we could enjoy our vacation knowing our two cats were well looked after. She communicated regularly and provided photos and videos so we could see how they were doing. Knowing how stress can impact our cats’ health we were so glad to have someone provide them care in our own home.
Bella is a fantastic pet sitter. She looked after our two cats for a week. Our cats absolutely loved her and warmed up to her very quickly. Bella sent us photos everyday and we came home to very happy cats!
I can’t say enough about how Bella cared for my son’s cat! She was so wonderful about communicating and sending daily updates, pictures and videos. I great appreciated how flexible and easy going she was when booking the service. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter and will definitely book her again! Thank you so much Bella 🙏🏻🐈⬛☺️ …
Bella provided amazing service while we were away on vacation. We received photo updates everyday and our cat loved her. She is caring and trustworthy, I can’t recommend her enough. 12/10
Jennifer at Pawsabilities took care of our boxer while we were out of town for a week. Jennifer takes your dog into her home and treats them as one of her family, playing in the yard and cuddling on the couch. She even sends you pictures each day of what your dog is up to. For us that was often cuddling on the couch with Jennifer's daughters. This was a far better option for us than leaving our boxer in a standard kennel in a concrete room. We were hugely relieved to see that our dog was having a great time. Thank you Jennifer!
It was super comfortable and easy with my whole experience letting my 5 month puppy board for a couple of nights with them. When we picked him up, he was super happy - I would use their boarding service again in the nearby future. Great owners! Super nice.
I have used them for a few years now to care care of our two labs and our cats. Can and Deb have been amazing no worries about our pets in any way shape or form. Highly recommend there services.
I’ve taken my dogs here for over 15 years, I like they have a large run area for dogs to socialize and exercise and large individual kennels when not outside, super friendly and experienced, and a lower number of dogs than most kennels 👍🏻👍🏻
My dogs were well taken care of in spite of the heat!
Excellent family run business
Amazing with our Dog. Thanks Cam
I'm a stay at home doggy mom and Buddy is my life so trusting his care to just anyone is not going to happen we've known and trusted Sierra and her family for nearly 2 years now and she s the only one we trust with buddy and even when we moved 40 mins away she s still the only one we trust with our pup buddy she brings out the best in him and we love the adventures that we know he goes on when he's in her care. We can't recommend Sierra enough she's already been recommended to all of our friends and we can't thank her enough!! It's a relief to know he's in such good capable hands and that he's loved just like one of her own. Thanks Sierra!!
I'm the pup mom who trusted no one - primary caregiver and rarely apart from my wee boy. Until Sierra and her lovely family. They love my boy as I do. They provide a calm social environment and daily adventures. The best part is you get a daily text diary of their pack activities! For the very first time I got to travel and get excited about weekends away without a bit of anxiety or guilt knowing my boy will have as much fun as I am! Forever grateful 🙏
My 15 year old dog suffers separation anxiety and requires a human to be in his sight at all times! He is also starting to get arthritic and can’t always do stairs on his own. Sierra is so caring and sweet with him, always looking out for his best interest, even if that means carrying him in a backpack while the rest of the pack go for a walk, or carrying him in the laundry basket up and down her stairs while doing her laundry! Sierra treats them all as her own and a part of her family. I love that she sends daily updates and photos so we know how he’s doing. I can highly recommend this service and will continue to use them!
We want to thank Sierra for taking such good care of our fur baby. She loves pets and it shows! very active and our dog seemed to love spending time with them, going to the park, beach, etc. She sent us daily updates with photos and videos. She treated our dog like their own and made her feel at home during our vacation. Highly recommend ...
We always bring our dog to this dog daycare whenever we go out of town, and the experience has been amazing! They send us adorable videos of our dog every day, so we know he’s happy and well taken care of. We’ve used their service twice already, and our dog absolutely loves it here. Thank you for the wonderful care!
The Dog Parq has been amazing for our family dog. Morgan and the rest of the staff are amazing. Harley (our good boy) is a bit reactive at times, and for whatever reason, HATES big dogs with white coats. His behaviour on and off leash has improved immensely and we are much more comfortable having him socialize now and we credit a lot of that to the Dog Parq! Could not recommend them enough. Also is a beautiful property with lots of space!
Due to work commitments, I had to leave my dog at this facility for nearly seven months. I can confidently say that this is the safest and most reliable dog park I have ever encountered. The entire team is exceptionally friendly, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about caring for dogs. Although it was a significant challenge for me to be separated from my dog for such an extended period, Morgan, the owner, made the experience much easier. He is an honest, responsive, and truly caring individual who went above and beyond to ensure my dog's well-being. I highly recommend this dog park to anyone in need of a clean, spacious, and secure environment for their furry companion.
Absolutely phenomenal care. I cannot express enough how amazing Morgan and the staff of Dog ParQ are. We have a reactive dog that we needed to board for a month. We had previously boarded with Morgan last year, he was able to accommodate and support our dog. This year after two days of being with Morgan, our very large reactive dog was in a yard playing with other dogs. We couldn't believe it. Our dog was there for over five weeks and it was very reasonably priced and we were so relieved that he was thriving while our family was out of province. Morgan is a dog lover and his passion shows with the care dogs receive while they are there. 100 of 5 stars.
We needed a last minute care for our dog as we headed out for holidays and The Dog Parq helped us out. The customer service and communication was excellent. Their facility and staff is amazing. It’s a beautiful spot with lots of space for the dogs to run around! Each evening we received a video of our dog giving us an update. Excellent value for the cost!
I cannot recommend DogparQ enough for anyone looking for a top-notch dog boarding service! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease knowing my furry friend was in great hands. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about the well-being of the dogs. The facility is spotless, spacious, and filled with all the comforts a dog could need. They have a great outdoor play area, which my dog absolutely loved. I also appreciated the regular updates and photos they sent, keeping me informed and reassured during my time away. It's clear that DogparQ goes above and beyond to make sure each dog is happy and well-cared for. My dog came home happy, healthy, and tuckered out from all the fun. If you're looking for a safe, loving, and fun place for your dog, look no further than DogparQ! I'll definitely be bringing my dog back here next time.
My fur-baby, Willow, has been attending daycare at The Dog Parq since September. We could not be happier! If you are considering trying out this facility, I highly recommend them. -The staff are knowledgable -Attentive to the dogs, they even noticed when Willow got some tree sap on her side and took steps to remove it -Super friendly, they always welcome us with smiles and quick conversation. -Beautiful large outdoor play areas. This is a super important point for me and my apartment dwelling puppy. - They send photos and videos of the dogs playing throughout the day -My pup comes home content and drained of excess energy. The Dog Parq clearly cares about the dogs they are watching. Every time I run into another dog-parent at pick up and drop off, they echo my sentiments. The Dog Parq is the place to be!
Brought my parents acreage raised dog for a daycare stay - he came in timid and afraid. He left with strutting confidence! Morgan kept us up to date all day with videos and texts while we were off mountain biking in the States! The property is clean, well kept - different areas indoor/outdoor - they have so much flexibility and room for every situation of dog! ❤️🐾 Already planning future stays!
Tried out the daycare twice and our experience so far has been amazing! Staff is very communicative and send videos daily to update. Pricing is also very reasonable and we will be leaving our pup for boarding soon! 5/5 stars, would recommend to others for sure. Thanks for everything and looking forward to more visits!
Best overnight daycare for pets ever! The staff helped my two dogs go from aggressive to very friendly and now they can play with other dogs. They also had a great birthday here. Thank you to all of them!
We recently switched to Surrey's Country Canine Retreat after our previous daycare closed. We are so happy we chose here. Our boxer Luna loves being there is excited to arrive and says goodbye to the staff when she leaves. We are also fortunate that there were other female boxers of a similar age to play with. She is relaxed when she gets home from a fun day of play. Highly recommend this place for your dog to socialize and exercise.
Our 2 fur kids have been going to CCR for the past few years for daycare and overnight boarding. Both of them + us humans love it! They’re always so excited when we pull up and see everyone that works there. We love seeing the photos of what they’re up to with their doggie friends on their Facebook page. Best of all.. they come home exhausted! Our girl had to undergo surgery recently for a tumour removal and she couldn’t be left alone because she’d always find a way to remove her cone. They were able to accommodate and watch her in their office to make sure she doesn’t pick at her sutures! Thanks so much to everyone at CCR for all that you do!
My dog was bitten here and received 13 stitches. Vet bills were paid by the dog owner via the facility but I was never given the dog breed information even after multiple requests.
My dog had a blast, came home with a welcomed daycare hangover and slept all night. Staff was very helpful, got him through his first nail trim no problem. Been several times now and each time better than the last. Staff really love the dogs and it shows.
Awesome outfit. Outdoor play for the dogs. Whole bunch of pro trainers and dog people keeping an eye on your dogs at all times. The take pics all day long and post them on Facebook and Instagram so you can see what your pups are doing. They have several play areas and keep large and small dogs separate. But they will keep siblings together. Athena and Jamieson had a blast yesterday and were wiped when we brought them home. Very professional and friendly from confirming booking to drop off to pick up. We will be booking them for a prolonged stay when we go to Mexico in May.
My pup Charlie absolutely loves the staff! They greet her with love and kindness! They are knowledgeable and very professional!
Surrey Canine Retreat and their team of incredible staff are hands down the best doggy daycare around! I’ve been taking my 3yr old Aussie Shepherd x Border Collie cross Kevin here since he was a puppy and he just loves it. The staff are so good with him, the place is so well run, clean, the staff all understand dog behaviour and cater to every dogs needs - so much value for what you are spending. I have since moved to the South Okanagan and continue to make the trip down for this doggy daycare when it’s needed because that’s how good this place is! Highly highly recommend!
I don't know if this is a new policy because I don't see this mentioned elsewhere in the reviews, but I was told they no longer allow tours -a big concern for me since my girl is so nervous/anxious. Who could blindly drop their dog off at a facility with no idea how well kept it is, water sources, shade, sense of scale, number of dogs, etc...but they convinced me to try it anyway. They told me to look at photos on Facebook (I am never on Facebook) but their photos are mainly close ups of dogs, none of just the facility or layout, at least not that I saw. And I'm not about to sift through a million photos of dogs just to try and make sense of the facility. For anyone who also cares, there is also no information on human to dog ratio mentioned anywhere so I emailed to ask. They said the typical number is 1 person : 10 dogs but that it can vary. Vary upwards or down? Okay, so we tried the trial day. So my two stars is mainly about what followed today after my dog's trial today Sept 15, 2023. I waited half the day for them to post 5 photos on Facebook. My doggo looked happy enough but I was still sketched out.. so I thought about it and emailed requesting if they could do a video tour. Someone is already there with a camera so I don't see the harm in it, even if it's just a recording that gets posted once to their website. No one emailed back. So when I picked up my dog, (who was choking herself on the leash in the direction of "away" as soon as we stepped out the gate. She only does this in flight mode.) - I asked again if it would be possible to get a video tour. Aleisha (sp) was there for pickup - she reminded me of the photos on Facebook and that I could look on google maps for an aerial view. I already did that, so I asked a second time if a video tour would be at all possible, kindly of course. And her response had an edge of irritation, like I was asking an annoying question. She said she'd check with her manager Monday, but its not something they do. I don't know what caused my dog's reaction. It's hard to tell because there is no transparency and such a reluctance to share video or give tours of the daycare. All I know is I feel uneasy about this and returning. At the very least, put a video/photo tour on your website if you aren't offering in-person tours. This is honest customer feedback I hope you guys take into consideration.
My experience with Surrey Canine Retreat and their sister daycare, Country Paws Kennels, was disappointing. I am in agreement with other reviews - friendly staff and the photos are cute. However there is a lack of competency, particularly with dog breeds labelled as challenging (eg. German Shepherd, Pit bull, Rottweiler)… unable to adequately handle and train the dogs they service and support. Country Paws Kennels is the sister daycare/“training-based facility”. I was informed that there would be fewer dogs and more opportunity for training, instead my pup was kennelled majority of the day. I inquired on several occasions re: transitioning back to Surrey Canine (as I was informed he would only need a handful of sessions at the sister daycare).. minimal feedback was provided and often they could not comment on his progression/growth and continued to “push” his transition date back. I would not recommend either setting.
Our adolescent dog LOVES his days at the Country Canine Retreat. We love them too because he comes home exhausted and soooo happy!! We noticed a significant improvement in his behavior after he started attending a few days a week - he was finally able to really burn off all his energy and get some safe and friendly socialization with other dogs. I would recommend Country Canine to anyone with a dog who loves to play!
We have used PNWK to board our German shorthaired pointers for a few years, and they are the best! The front desk staff are friendly and always have something kind and personalized to say about our dogs when we pick them up. Our dogs come home happy and exhausted, which is not an easy feat with this high energy breed. They spend their first day sleeping and recovering from their fun times at PNWK. The reason for four stars is that the booking system is a bit frustrating, as booking online is no longer possible and we are often overcharged (two dogs boarding separately instead of two dogs boarding together, which is a $10 difference per night). However, manager Stan always offers a refund or credit for the error.
Great experience here. Our reactive pup stayed for 7 nights as we did a road trip. Medication was free, no incidents with other dogs or inexperienced handlers as we’ve had at other kennels. Will definitely use again. 4 stars because I just wish there was a more active social media and I could see pictures of her.
We took our 2 dogs here for a boarding assessment. I asked for a tour of the facility and I'm glad I did. My spouse and I had the same concerns and made the mutual decision that we're not leaving our dogs here for any extended period of time. I've seen plenty of good reviews on Google, and I'm glad some people have good experiences here. But it was because of these positive reviews that I was planning on leaving my dogs here for a weekend. So, I wish to share my experience below to help others make a more informed decision, and to maybe help PNWK improve their practices as well. The social dog area was full of cells with dogs held inside, majority of which had notes on their cell's doors stating "not good with dogs". The barking was deafening, and I couldn't hear the staff speak as she stood right beside me, so it was a bit of a surprise to know this is where my dogs would be kept inside during the day, and to sleep at night. (Which the staff confirmed once we stepped outside). Red flag #1. We stepped outside, so I started to ask my questions once we could hear each other. The staff member said it was extra loud because the dogs were probably hungry and that the staff were behind schedule that morning. I checked my watch, and it was now 10am. Another concern, as my dogs eat at 8am. The intake form I filled out online asked for feeding times, so I felt that if this wasn't being followed, what else isn't. Were the dogs even taken outside yet to pee? I didn't ask, but that was red flag #2. I also asked if anyone stayed on-site at night, and the staff member confirmed no. Red flag #3 The outside facilities were quiet, but surprisingly, worse off. I guess I imagined there to be at least one open field area for dogs to socialize and play, but I didn't see that. There were a handful of runs, maybe 50 feet long and 20 feet wide. So, plenty of space for my 2 large dogs to roam around while outside. I can't speak for all of the runs, but the one we took our dogs inside had so much dog poop left on the ground, I'd consider it a biohazard. My dogs, who are usually very social and energetic, were both so hesitant the entire tour so far, and didn't want to explore the run at all after we took off their leashes. Each run had a bucket for water and a kiddie pool. Both were low on water, and the water remaining was so brown and dirty looking that even my toilet-drinking puppy didn't have a drink. Red flag #4. At this point, we still tried to give them a shot, since we had already booked the assessment. They recommended we come back after 6 hours. So we left the dogs there, and went to Costco. We were so uneasy the entire time shopping, that we just picked up the dogs on our way home. So they were there for 2.5 hours. The staff confirmed they hadn't started the assessment, but charged us for it anyway ($30 x 2 dogs).
Before I leave details as to why my review is a 2 star, I do want to point out the two ladies that we saw the most at pnw show a lot of love and affection to our little puppy. I felt comfortable knowing she would be treated with a lot of love. The reason for my two star review is for a few reasons. This was my first time ever leaving a dog of mine in a kennel system. My wife and I decided to chose pnw based off of good reviews and how good her assessment day went. We felt we would be able to be relieved leaving her here while we enjoyed our honeymoon vacation. That was unfortunately not the case, I was informed of daily posts to Facebook to see our dog, but on day 2 of our trip I had to ask where the photos were as they had not been posted. Around day 4 of our trip we had no more access as the account did not post anything for remainder of her trip. So we were left wondering if our dog was doing okay. I had to email them on the 12th asking for an update, and reminding them of her “birthday bath” as she was spending her first birthday at pnw. I never received an email back. I informed pnw that on the 12th it would be birthday and that we wanted a bath that day. She was not given a bath until the 13th, 1 hour before pickup. I believe she only got this bath because I called pnw to ask what was happening. I also requested two private walks during her stay, she did not receive these walks to my knowledge. I also requested her nails be trimmed on the 12th during her bath, she did not receive a nail trimming. Upon picking up my dog she seemed very happy and we headed home. Since she has been home her bowel movements have been awful. She has had constant diarrhea (10+ movements in one night) and now requires a vet visit. The inside of her paws are all pink and her feet indicate she may have a yeast infection. During our initial visit for her assessment day, we were denied an opportunity to view the property as it was explained a manager had to be present. So we had to book before even knowing where our dog would be staying. Overall I am unimpressed and quite honestly disappointed with my dogs stay here. I do not want to fault the two young girls who work here, but pnw lacks communication, attention to detail and more professionalism. The “meet our team” page online appears to have employees you will not meet during your visits. I will be looking else where for future boarding.
I will prefix this by saying that the front line staff here are fantastic and helpful. Now, my dog was viciously mauled in mid-April (2023). He did not instigate this and was attacked when being put out (as per staff). They were unable to get the other dog off and had to get help. When I was notified while on vacation, they were as devastated as I was. They genuinely cared and were emotionally affected. My dog was treated and taken care of by PNWK. He had upwards of (x60) stitches in several spots, and a canine-tooth was torn out. See the pictures for yourself. This was a horrible attack. My dog has been a blood donor and St John's therapy dog for years. His temperament and demeanor are indicative of these acts he does for other dogs. The issue I had was following up with the kennel management (Eddy) after this incident. This was to try and sort out some questions I thought were important. I had never had to deal with such a thing before. 1) My first item was that the offending dog and owner be held accountable and reported to animal control. If my dog had been smaller, he would have been killed. If they could not report this, then I would be willing to. 2) Can a tooth be replaced with an artificial one if needed. Are there any dentists they could recommend. The offending owner should be liable for any costs if this was an option. 3) Can the Veterinary Hospital send the documents to my dogs vet for follow-up as needed. Specifically for wound management and removal of stitches. Again, staff who I spoke with were fantastic in responding to my emails and phone calls. But there is only so much they could address. Eddy never responded to my emails to have a meaningful dialog about my concerns. My biggest one was that this dog was still allowed near others and had not been reported. After months of continuously reaching out, I gave up. PNWK could not be bothered to help me sort out some simple concerns. Eventually, I found out that replacing a tooth would not be necessary. I'll have to report this dog on my own. Finally, my vet was never contacted to be provided any charts. Needless to say, I have been forced to find an alternative kennel. I appreciate the wonderful staff at PNWK. But the follow-up, or lack thereof, did not leave me in a position to risk my dog being attacked again, and the issue be ignored. I can no longer recommend them as a kennel based on this experience. Previous review: I've been taking my dogs here for years. Exceptionally nice staff who are always friendly. Dogs are tired when we pick them up and are happily exhausted. Prices are fair and for the quality of facilities and staff, well worth it. When possible, they post adorable pictures of all the dogs staying with them. This includes my boys, which is nice to see when following up. I would recommend this kennel without question or hesitation. They have always been worth the commute.
This place is heaven sent. If you love your family member and want him/her socialized, taken care of, be in care of professionals, staff who care, who can (in my case) exhaust a 2year old Lab .. PNK is the place.. they offer early drop room and late pick up for working professionals...
You came to my rescue as I needed a place ASAP as needed to get to the hospital...So happy you were open on a Sunday!!! Thank you Pacific Northwest Kennels for taking great care of Mr.MUGGZY MAGOO (Lou) Martin for the last day and half...so grateful! He is happy puppy and tucked out from having a big place to run around & play.
We are so happy with the level of care our dogs received. They both came home clean and tired after their stay. Photos courtesy of PNWK of our two dogs.
I have been going to Pacific Northwest Kennels for more than 3 years now and have always had exemplary service. They have always treated me with respect and always go out of their way to help in any way possible. My dogs have always had problems going to other kennels; not wanting to leave me, but here, they are always excited to get inside and play!
Lovely staff and our boy came home after a 6 night stay tired and happy. He has stayed at many kennels and he came home the happiest from this one. We will be certainly be bringing him back here for future stays.
If you want the absolute BEST care for your fur baby, absolutely look no further than Mary. I always feel secure whenever I ask her to look in on our loveable lab. Mary is well loved because our pup just enjoys being with her, wags his tail, and then rolls over to get some good belly rubs in. She is extremely professional with great communication, and I love how she sends/texts pictures to me about how our boy is doing. We love Mary and our dog considers her family!
Mary came to dog sit our three doggies while we were away. She was, from the first message, immediately responsive, incredibly professional but also mixed with a friendliness that made us all feel so comfortable. She loved on our fur babies while we were gone and took incredible care of our home. I cannot recommend her enough for her services as she truly gives it everything and has an amazing heart. We will definitely be hiring her in the future!
As the owner of a dog walking company in the area, I have had the pleasure of connecting with Mary from Travelling Tails. I am constantly impressed by her genuine passion for working with animals, which shines through in the exceptional level of service she provides to all her clients' pets. Whenever clients ask me about in-home pet sitting, I confidently refer them to Mary, knowing that their pets will receive the best possible care. Working with Mary has been an absolute joy, as she is not only incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in her field, but also kind, reliable, and professional. Her love for animals is contagious, and it's evident that she goes above and beyond to ensure that every pet in her care feels happy, healthy, and loved. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Mary and support each other in our businesses. Her dedication and commitment to providing top-notch pet care are truly admirable, and I have no doubt that she will continue to thrive and make a positive impact in the lives of pets and their owners alike.
I’ve been so fortunate to find Adele’s, my pups have been going there for 6 years now and it’s been a blessing. Mostly my furballs enjoy their sleepover service, 2 nights a week as a matter of fact. Due to my shift work. Adele’s had been incredible, they care for my boys as if they were their own family. Once I forgot to take enough food for their full stay, Vincent went and purchased their exact food for them, it was incredible! I go to work knowing they are happy and well taken care of. Thank you Vincent, Brenda and the entire team!! 💕💜💕
We can't say enough good things about Adele's Doggie Daycare! They took such great care of our two pups, Tuna and Poutine, when we were unexpectedly stuck in Florida due to Hurricane Milton and couldn't make it back to BC on time. The team was so understanding and accommodating, giving us peace of mind during a stressful situation. Our dogs were well looked after, and it was clear they were in good hands. We highly recommend Adele's to anyone looking for a place that genuinely cares for your pets! Thank you so much! ❤👏🐕
Highly recommend for your furry four legged loved ones! We utilize the day care weekly and our sweet Maui can hardly contain her excitement at drop off!! We also just recently boarded Maui for a week and we were extremely confident that she was in the best hands. We were able to get away and did not have to worry at all. Adele’s staff are so great at keeping us updated with pictures throughout the days and they answer texts quickly. They are very well organized, both sites are clean. There is so much for the dogs to do rain or shine and Maui comes home exhausted! Adele’s and staff are so very much appreciated!
The family that owns and runs this facility are angels. The staff are friendly and helpful. My pup is not always happy to go, but we know he is well taken care of and safe. They ensure options for all dogs, whether they like to lay in the sun/shade, or on the floor/furniture. We love Vince, Brenda, and their team. So does Kingston!
Adele’s is my pup’s home away from home! She is so loved and well looked after when she is there. I love that they post photos so you can see your pup while you’re away. The facility is great, and my dog is so excited when we turn into the driveway and she knows it’s time for a staycation! I am so grateful to Adele’s for the amazing care they provide and for taking such good care of my favourite girl! I highly recommend Adele’s for daycare or boarding!
Best. Daycare. Ever! I've been taking my Frenchton to Adele's for over 5 years, and even after moving farther away, still take her, because their daycare and boarding are The Best. It's run exceptionally well. It's very clean, and their great staff keep our dogs active throughout the day. We could not be happier! 🐕
I moved to langley 2 years ago and was desperate to find a new boarding place for my senior dog Mylo. I am so thankful that i found Adeles. The entire team is so loving and caring towards all the pups .. it just puts your heart and mind at ease while you’re away knowing that your fur baby is in good , safe hands. Mylo absolutely loves Adeles because as soon as we pull in.. he jumps out of the car and runs in!! Thank you team Adeles:)
My pups have been going to the Countryside Daycare for boarding. Everytime they get treated like family and have excellent care. I get updates via text and on the Facebook page which really helps alot especially being away from the fur babies. The staff and Vincent and his family are very kind and for sure adore the pups. My furbabies always come home happy and exhausted. The play time and the zen time really helps. We have been in Cloverdale for daycare once and pretty much can say the same things above. Our family is very grateful for Adeles that we can safely and have peace of mind while we're away.
Adele's Doggie Day Care Countryside has been Mollie's home away from home for four year's Vincent - Brenda and team treat Mollie as if she is one of their own which is evident by Mollie's excitment the minute we pull onto the beautiful Countryside property It is such a blessing to know when we are away that Mollie is happy - healthy and safe at Countryside All the Facebook pictures that are posted daily are a bonus - See you soon Adele's Doggie Day Care Countryside Love Mollie 🐾❤️🐾
BEWARE. Seeing these 5 star reviews really blows my mind. This establishment takes 0 care of the dogs and simply cares about the money. They are understaffed and severely undertrained with dogs. The owners preach “positive reinforcement” by throwing things at the dogs, yelling, and using intimidation to gain control. They over crowd the building and also take on dogs 3 times the size that they advertise. They say 45lbs max but take on dogs 100lbs plus. Even knowing if they are reactive and angry dogs, they will still take them in, leaving them with 5-10lbs dogs. They may appear friendly at first, but your dog’s best interests are not the owners top priority. Beware of sending your dog here, as there is huge risk that comes with it.
I recommend Canine Harmony 100%. Our dog is a rescue and we were nervous about boarding him because of this. I did extensive research and they also came highly recommended by my friend. Timber did amazing and is so happy after we picked him up. We drove all the way from Port Coquitlam to bring him here and we have a few boarding places a couple blocks from us. They took amazing care of our boy and the pictures and videos that they shared with us proved it by the way my dog looked. He literally had a smile ear to ear in each of the photos and videos. Thank you so much, you guys took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. We will be back.
Chelsea was super sweet and kind to speak with in setting up our appointment with our dog, Yondu. He came home a happy and tired pup from his day at daycare! They even do a free trial day to make sure they are a good fit for you and your pup. The photo is one of a few they posted on their Facebook page after his day at daycare.
Highly recommend Canine Harmony. I bring my dog here regularly for daycare and have used their boarding services in the past. Chelsea is great with the dogs and my dog absolutely loves coming here. As soon as I tell him he's going to day care he goes nuts and gets super excited when I turn into their driveway. He comes home happy and tired.
My boyfriend, Lucas, used to send our boy cheeseburger here and the only reason he’d stopped going is we moved too far away! He loved going to daycare there, loved all the staff. Everyone was always super sweet and accommodation, especially the owner, Chelsea. We miss you all! Highly recommend Canine Harmony for all your doggy daycare and boarding needs in the south Surrey/white rock area.
I have been hesitant to leave a review but after talking to friends and family they agree and feel it’s the right thing to do. I feel I would want to know this information prior to leaving my dog in their care. Last Summer I left my small dog Toby here for 6 days, he was originally going to stay for longer but my ex-husband agreed to pick-up Toby earlier. When I called to let them know he would be picking Toby up, I asked them how he was doing and they said he has one runny eye. When my ex-husband picked up Toby he was lethargic and he was not opening his eyes as he was in extreme pain. He took him home to bathe him and he slept and cried. I came immediately home to get him and couldn’t believe my eyes. Took him straight to the vet and found out that he had a lacerated cornea and an infection in both of his eyes. They were uncertain if his eye would ever recover due to a large laceration in his right eye. He also had fleas. I called the owner right after I left the vet and she said that she administered Visine for Pink eye and he seemed fine and really seemed to care less as I am in tears. I asked her why she never called me to let me know and she said he seemed fine. What breaks my heart the most is I don’t know how long he was in this state while in their care! Next I called the SPCA . The SPCA immediately sent an officer out to their business and issued a warning that they cannot administer any sort of medications/eye drops to an animal and must call the Veterinarian if any animal is secreting fluid. The SPA the suggested that I seek legal representation as well. Only after the SPCA was involved did they then care. They had insurance and agreed to pay for his vet bills, but they have refused to refund the cost of his stay while in their care. I have emailed them on three different occasions asking for a refund as I do not feel he was cared and have yet to get a response. I’m not sure how his cornea was lacerated or how both of his eyes became infected but how this was missed seems negligent and cruel? Please use caution when choosing a boarding kennel for your animal, as now my dog has permanent damage to his right eye.
Chelsea and her team have an excellent place for dogs to stay, play, get exercised, and come home tired. My dog is a young Lab (lots of energy!) who loves playing with other dogs. As soon as we turn onto the street Canine Harmony is on she's excited and ready to go. The team here knows the dogs and takes care to make sure that it's a good fit for your dog. I like knowing that if I need to board Juno I can book her here in a place she loves where they'll take great care of her.
My 2 dogs Miley and Aela LOVE going to daycare here. As soon as I turn into their driveway my dogs can barely wait to get out of the car to see the Canine Harmony team and all their fur friends! This place is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone !
Accommodating and friendly. Left my dog for weekend boarding and he can be nervous and shy, he was well exercised and content with no signs of stress. Dropped him off for daycare since then and he was very excited to be there and happy to see the staff. They also offer extra 1 on 1 time and baths, he was shiny soft and clean on pickup. (long hair and undercoat)
We were referred to Canine Harmony by a friend who also loves it. We are so lucky that we found such an amazing place for our boy! Chelsea, the owner, is outstanding and goes above and beyond for all of her clients. The girls that work there are so friendly and treat our goofy boy the best. He LOVES coming to daycare as soon as we pull up he goes crazy and pulls us inside to see the girls and his friends. We tried a few other day cares before hearing about Canine Harmony and they do not even come remotely close to how great this place is. Our dog is a big part of our family and it is so nice to have a place to bring him that he loves and we don't have to worry about him at all when he is there :)
My Puppy’s Stay at Canine Harmony was a very good experience. Chelsea and the staff were wonderful.
