I recently found myself in need of last minute boarding of our kitten. I googled places to board in Missoula, and was relieved to find the Garden City Pets website, AND the convenience of their online booking option. In the rush of everything, I overlooked certain details- but the staff at GCP was understanding, kind, and accommodating when I called and explained my issues. When dropping off, I had no doubt that my kitten was going to be well taken care of and safe there. Staff was great, boarding looked comfortable- I highly recommend this place!

I won’t take Howdy anywhere else. Leaving him for the first time was hard but knowing how much fun he has and how much he loves Lisa Marie makes it so much easier. She even sends us fun updates with the BEST photos. I can’t recommend them enough.

GCP took absolutely superb care of our fur babies!! One was a first time boarder & the other a medically complicated senior. They kept both of them happy & healthy. The whole process, from booking to pickup was straightforward and smooth.

Great boarding and day care facility! My girl does very well with the small groups and structure here. I would highly recommend for any dog, especially if you have a dog with anxiety! Lisa-Marie and her staff do a wonderful job reading my dog and setting her up for success. I appreciate the time the give at check in/out to touch base with how my dog did.

I wouldn’t take my pet anywhere else, Garden City Pets has always gone above and beyond and I know my pet is taken care of. Lisa Marie (owner) is absolutely delightful, you can see her passion for what she does.

My dog, Charlie and myself love Garden City Pets! I always feel so comfortable leaving Charlie in Lisa Marie’s care. She was so thorough and personable from the beginning, which bestowed my trust in her. She made sure Charlie was comfortable before staying there and made sure she knew his history. Charlie is a little on the anxious side and he does great with Lisa Marie. She sends pictures of him while I’m gone and he always looks so happy. Also, when I drop him off, he runs over to her! I am so lucky to have found Garden City Pets.

Lisa was an amazing pet sitter for my chihuahua Marino! She treated him like a king for the 5 days I was gone on vacation, it was hard for him to leave! She also sent me photos of him periodically to let me know he was well taken care of. It was hard for me to see her leave Austin. Would highly recommend her pet care services to anyone looking for a sitter in Missoula MT!

They are the very best! They took excellent care of our sweet little girl. It has taken us a little bit of time to find the right fit for her and we couldn't be happier. She arrived so happy to see them when we dropped her off for a weekend stay after her trial day, she showed no signs of being nervous or anxiousness. I was able to check in on her, they were so kind to take care of my nerves at leaving her too. I could truly go on and on.... We found our happy place for our sweetie. Thank you Garden City Pets!

Unleashed is the BEST! My boy LOVES their daycare; he recognizes the parking lot and starts doing full-body wiggles with excitement, and he tries to dig under the door to get inside to see his doggy and human friends. When I pick him up, he is always tired and happy (and doesn't always want to leave!). The staff is incredibly helpful and cares so much about the dogs. I love when I see photos of my dog at daycare! Their boarding is fantastic, too, and they are the only place I trust to board my dog overnight. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend Unleashed! He sleeps like crazy when he comes home.

A great place for daycare and boarding! Their top priority is the health and well-being of your dog, and they’re great at communicating that. I appreciate their kindness and business so much and can confidently leave my dog at their facility. Also I love the daycare report cards, photos and being able to watch my pup on camera. My pup comes home and sleeps right away and it’s nice knowing he had playtime and a lot of enrichment.

I just recently started taking my eight month old puppy, Gracie, here for some daycare and if I could give them over five stars I definitely would! Jen is so incredibly kind and you can tell she loves her job and that all the pups adore it there. I love checking in on Gracie with their camera feed! We highly highly HIGHLY recommend Unleashed! :)

Unleashed is by far the best kennel and doggy daycare we have ever sent our dog to! We are very picky about who we send our dog to and this is the first place we have actually felt comfortable leaving her at! The staff is incredible and they go above and beyond for anything your pet may need both in and out of their facility. Sending your dog here is like sending it to a family member to be spoiled and loved on! They really do love the dogs in their care like their own. If you want the best for your dog, look no further!

Our dog LOVES to go play with all the dogs at Unleashed! Jen, Rachel, Miss Peggy and all the staff have been wonderful and we will follow them wherever they go! We know our dog is being taken care of and couldn't ask for better ❤️

Jen is so caring and treats my dog like he’s her very own. He always has fun and loves the staff. They do fun little crafts and I always get a tired, happy dog back. I also appreciate their transparency which is hard to find in a doggy daycare. They have live webcams so I can see my baby having fun whenever I want! I would recommend to anyone!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. They are so accommodating with our schedules and our pup loves the staff. We take him on a regular basis to get him some exercise, socialization and because he has separation anxiety. He gets so excited when he sees us pull in. We have tried a couple other daycares in town and they didn’t meet our expectations until now.

We call it “doggy camp” at our house. I called the first time and instantly knew that these were dog people. Exactly doing what they were called to do . We love our dog and they do too. That sure feels good when you know he is getting love and care. We pull in the parking lot and he stands up and wags his whole body. I open the door and he goes and waits to be let in. Best. Feeling. Ever. Send your dog and know they’re loved ! 5 stars from us!!!

As a crazy dog mom, there are few places/people I trust my dog with. Unleashed has been amazing and my dog is very excited to go every time. The staff was quick to remember myself and my dog, they keep my updated throughout the day about how my love is doing. I will continue to go here and recommend unleashed. Edit 10/09/23: Sadly Unleashed no longer offers boarding and their prices have increased. Still an amazing company and people, but no longer fits my needs. I now go to Alpine Canine, and they’ve been great too.

We drove from San Diego, CA to Huson, MT and wanted our Great Pyr mix bathed and combed. They were amazing! She came home smelling so great, her fur so soft, and her nails well done. Thank you!

This place was very dirty, and smelled bad. My dog came home and drank a gallon and a half of water, meaning he’s been thirsty for two days. He could hardly go for a walk he was so thirsty. The three older people working in the front were clueless about my dogs items I left for him and his collar was broke. Just concerned about taking my cash. NEVER recommend going here. Terrible place !!!

We left our dog there for a Christmas trip, and immediately going there the employee did not make us feel reassured that our dog would have a comfortable time, they don’t let them interact with other dogs or people and they go outside for 5 MINUTES four times a day. If your dog needs to exercise and be outside like our 10 month old puppy, this should be the last place you go to. Luckily we got him out of there ASAP.

For starters, this facility smells very unclean. I've also never been to a boarding facility that isn't happy to show you their WHOLE facility, where the dogs will be kenneled, play areas, their process, routine, etc. Fairly standard stuff to making owners feel confident that they're leaving their dogs in capable hands. Not this place. You're stopped at the kennel entrance and are not allowed to check in on your dogs in the kennel they're kept in. They have to be brought from their kennel by staff up to the front. Upon pick up, the bedding and toys reeked terribly of urine so they clearly weren't pottied propery. I asked if they'd whined or barked and was told no, yet I know they whine when they have to go. At payment, they tried overcharging me. After arguing with me over the math they finally agree to "do whatever is easier" for me. It's not about convenience, it's business, and this one has far too many red flags

I went to pick up my dogs and was totally amazed by how refreshed, happy and secure they were when I arrived, I had been expecting self pity whimpers. Ouch but Yay! Thrilled with the results of great care!

JAN 2024 Update: we've continued to board our now 2 dogs regularly at Cheff Boarding! They get so excited for every visit, and I never have to worry when they are there that they are well cared for and loved! We just started adding the exit bath, and it is a game changer! Love Noelle & her great service!! JULY 2022: Noelle took our BMD, Denver, for a two night stay while we were gone on our mini-honeymoon! She was great with communication and sent updated pictures on the dog hikes! Denver came home all played out and very happy!!

Cheff Boarding House is the best dog boarding, daycare, hikes, et al in the Missoula area. Noelle is a one of a kind dog person! She is the best. Our dog loves her dearly and all of her dogs love her. As a pet owner, you want someone who will tend to your dog, their needs and listen to your needs as an owner. She's excellent at communication and being organized. She's consistent and her dog care is unmatched. We love her services and she's Dolly's favorite human! 10/10 recommend! Noelle is one of the most dog loving mamas I have ever known! She has always treated my dogs as if they were her own! And they loved her! The new boarding facility is amazing!

Cheff Boarding House is amazing! I have boarded my three dogs there multiple times. All three are different personalities and sizes and they always come home looking like they have had an amazing time and exhausted. Cheff Boarding House is the best of the best! Noelle and her family love and treat your fur babies like family. She takes them hiking and makes sure they are safe and well loved and not just a number (she knows every dog by name even if they have only boarded with her once)! Noelle is amazing! We have used other providers for boarding and day hikes, she is by far the best in Missoula. My dogs love her and they get so excited when she pulls up to pick them up for a stay or hike. Noelle is awesome and easy to work with!

Alexandria is the best! She took such great care of my puppy, Jack, in my home, as well as in her home whenever I would bring him there. Jack absolutely loves Alexandria, and would always look forward to me leaving him with her. I love her attention to detail, and thoughtful ways of keeping me updated on how Jack's day was going, like sending me picture updates by text. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alex. Alexandra did such a great job pet-sitting for our dogs! She stayed overnight with our golden retriever and mini Aussie for 4 nights and was so respectful of our home. Overall, she is very professional, a great communicator and such a nice person. She took our dogs on multiple walks/hikes each day and sent us countless photos of all their adventures! I think our dogs truly missed her once we returned home -- we look forward to having Alexandra care for our dogs again in the future (and I'm sure our dogs can't wait either!)

Alex is one of the most deeply caring ,kind and well trained caregivers a pet owner could have. She is a loving , accepting caregiver to seemingly all creatures great and small...doggies in diapers, three legged hamsters, tortoises, kitties who hide under the bed and mucks out horse stalls. Cool headed, trained for emergencies, schooled in an animals medical needs...I wouldn't have anyone else.

Alex is a natural with animals. Within a couple of minutes after meeting Alex, our "fur kids" were at ease and seeking her attention. Alex is a knowledgeable, compassionate and loving caregiver.

Clara is the best! She takes great care of our two puppies. We always feel so good dropping them off knowing they will have adventures with her other very friendly dogs and get lots of love and good care. She has been working with animals her whole life and is very knowledgable and our dogs love her and get super pumped to go to day care! We can't recommend her more highly!

Whether you need to go on vacation or whatever the need your animals (all kinds) are on vacation with Clara. She looks forward to having a one on one with each friend that comes to stay. We boarded our dog with Clara while visiting the Missoula area. She was very flexible with us, responsive, and sent picture updates without asking. We loved sending our dog to Clara’s home instead of a kennel.

Clara is the best dog sitter! She and her family are always willing to help with Ace, even on short notice. Plus he always comes back super pooped from wrestling with her dog, Smokey. 10/10 would recommend!!

Teddy had been going to the same daycare for all of his life but when it closed we needed to find a new place…. I was recommended this doggy daycare by one of my employees and I could not be happier with them! Teddy always has a fantastic time when he goes and comes back home nice and tired! As soon as we start getting near the daycare he starts jumping around the backseat with excitement! Wonderful staff and plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play! Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a good place for your dog to spend the day!

The most delightful, welcoming staff- we went for the temperament testing- It’s a safe facility, with experienced dog handlers and nervous dog owner. I knew I left my best buddy’s in the best of care. The dogs had a delightful time. I’d like to say they put on their best manners but they’re pretty independent.- and don’t fake who they are!

Both of my dogs love it here and come back so happy and exhausted! I am so grateful to have a place like Alpine Canine in Missoula. The staff are so friendly and seem to remember each and every dog, I especially love the report at the end of the day when I pick them up. This is also a great place for puppy socialization once your dogs are all vaccinated!

We have boarded our pups a handful of times now at Alpine Canine, typically for at least 4-5 days at a time and have had a great experience. I love that they have the option of daily hikes on their property. If there’s a suggestion box -> Would love pictures of them on these hikes :)

Brought my pup here for daycare and she had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the best part is that the dog was completely tuckered out by the end of the day.

This is a 5 star review for the staff at Alpine Canine. The way they treat my pups is so reassuring when I have to board them, that I know they’re in good hands while I’m out of town and can travel with peace of mind. 5 stars is also for the Alpine Canine facility- it is cheerful and clean, and from the moment I drive up it is evident that all the dogs- big and small- are having a great time. 5 stars applies to the programs too. The pack hike is such a cool feature. I take advantage of day care when I know I have a busy day or just want to have a day to run errands and do chores without the dogs underfoot. Highly recommend, but don’t just take my word for it… The review you should really trust is these two totally wiped out doggos! They get so excited as soon as we turn down the dirt road and can’t wait to get inside. When I pick them up, they are completely exhausted and sleep like sweet little angels for a whole day afterwards. It’s a treat for yourself, and a treat for your best friend too🐾

Alpine kept our 3 pups for two weeks while we were away. We were nervous for leaving them for that long but Alpine took great care of them. Picked them up they were happy and looked healthy. Appreciate the military discount they offer as well. We will use them again without question for our next summer trip.

This is very hard as I have left my dogs before over night here in the past. (New management now?) However, the past few years have been rough with this facility, which has lead me to leave this review. I don't normally do this but it is at the point that I will never leave my dogs here again. It started 3 leaves ago when we boarded our dogs here for 4 nights and when we went to pick them up they "could not find their dog beds"... how does that happen? And what were my dogs left to sleep on? I wrote it off as whatever... the next time last year we left our dogs for 3 nights here and when I picked them up in the morning, the dog bed was covered in feces and all over one of my dogs. I wrote it off as nerves or something.... but inside I knew my dogs were house trained and would never shit on their bed. This last time, we left our dogs for 3 nights and when I showed up to pick them up they handed me their dog bed soaked in urine. My dogs are 10 and 5 years old, house trained and live in our house with us. They are very house trained. That tells me they are NOT letting my dogs out of their kennel in a timely manner at all. We Pay $70+ a night to have them care for our animals to be neglected. I will never leave my dogs here again.

My dog was temperament tested and passed with flying colors. The staff was very good with all the dogs, the facility was clean and my dog really liked it. I think this is an excellent place for her and she will be spending a lot of time here.

This is a great place for our German Shepherd. Great staff who obviously love dogs! From drop off to pick up someone is there to greet you and your dog. they ask about any changes or needs regarding your pet, which was much appreciated. This is a new experience for our pet and she seems to be handling it well thanks to the staff. The facility is well maintained, plenty of room for outdoor play and the dogs are managed well. One of the things that sold me on this boarding service was that the dogs have lots of space to be outdoors and they offer hiking for your pet. It’s the perfect setting for our girl, THANK YOU ALPINE CANINE STAFF!

I started bringing my dogs here 2 years ago per the recommendation by another dog kennel that this facility was accommodating of dogs with social and/or behavioral problems. – the impression I received is the friendly staff would work with them to find the right groups that fit. I always felt great and relieved leaving my dogs there in good faith as that is what was advertised to me, as I know one of my dogs can be troublesome sometimes. This policy must have recently changed to not welcome dogs that do not do well in all groups to be watched at their facility. I was called to their office and informed my dogs were "not welcome back at daycare" anymore as they are “too anxious” to play in groups. I wish I would have received information and maybe some kind of warning about this matter sooner, preferably before we were not welcomed back and before I learned my dogs were being isolated during the days I paid for daycare under the impression they were in a group catering to their temperaments. If your dog is anxious or has any type of behavioral quirk/issues, just look for another facility or you will likely join us as doggy dropouts. If your dog does great with others, this facility will probably be great for you.

Ruby has been to day care at Happy Paws. The staff there take such excellent care of her. They are so sweet and loving to her. They work with her anxieties to make sure she has a good stay. Also, Ruby has been groomed by Jadence twice. She did a great job. I'm so grateful for Happy Paws

Our experience with Happy Paws started out promisingly enough. We entrusted them with our golden retriever puppy for several months, and for the most part, everything seemed fine. The staff always seemed friendly, and we consistently received positive feedback about our dogs behavior. However, our perception of Happy Paws took a nosedive when we were unexpectedly pulled aside by management one day. To our shock, we were informed that our dog had too much energy and couldn't be matched with other dogs. Consequently, he was often isolated in a separate area for the entire day. This left us feeling frustrated and mislead. Why were we only now being informed of this issue? Why did we receive nothing but positive feedback until this point? We had been paying for daycare services under the impression that our pup was enjoying himself and socializing with other dogs. We can no longer in good conscience recommend Happy Paws to other pet owners. Since this occurred, we've been taking our dog to Woof Haven and it's been a great transition. They do a temperament test to ensure compatibility of dogs and often post updates of the dogs on social media (neither of which are done by HP).

We couldn't be happier. I boarded our large American Bulldog, Stella, with the folks at Happy Paws for the past 10 days. Super great experience. I recommend them to anyone in the Missoula area. They made her a Christmas dinner. And took better care of her than I could ask for. Thanks so much guys. It really means a lot to me and my family that you treated our dog as your own.

Such a great place to take your pups for a fun-filled day. We have a high-energy Aussie who absolutely loves coming here for doggy-day-care. She comes home exhausted and ready to nap the rest of the day. The staff is so nice and helpful and seems like they truly love being there. “It’s a lot better than an office job” is right!

Happy Paws is the best. My dog is a high energy puppy who was the disruptor of the Earth. She has been intuitively cared for and switched up to areas and groups where she can be carefree and entertaining. 😂 She is so happy to go there and the staff is so awesome with her and puts up with god-knows-what. She has become the best pup who is well adjusted and is tired when she comes home, which is the ultimate blessing! She loves Happy Paws and so do we!!

Best place to bring your dog in Missoula! Our 2 dogs love going for daycare and boarding. We never worry about them when we have to leave them for a stay, which is priceless peace of mind. Our pups are always excited when we make the turn down Miller Creek cause they know they're in for an awesome day. Even better they come home completely tuckered out and relaxed like they have been on a trip too, which is great if you live in an apartment and don't have access to a yard. We send them for daycare here whenever they start to get stir crazy during the week so we don't come home to find that they have decided to entertain themselves while we are at work. Usually by chewing on whatever they're not supposed to have while we're home. Also helps keep them from neurotic barking at every sound late at night, waking up our neighbors. If we ever need to drop them off, and one or both of ours dogs have medication to take, the staff is diligent and accurate at making sure they take their meds. Yet another huge relief! I am so thrilled to find a wonderful place that loves and cares for my fur baby!! My 11 year old pup has never been boarded or attended puppy day care as I have always lived where I knew people who could house sit for me. I am going on vacation and new to the area and needed someone to take care of my pup. Daycare was successful and I will rest easy knowing Reese’s is safe and happy!! Thank you!! 💛💛

My expectations and standards for the care of my dog are extremely high. I do not trust just anyone with my dog especially after her recent bout with cancer and liver disease. My dog requires daily medication and intensive behavioral monitoring, but despite her medicinal conditions I was reassured by the owner Theresa and her staff that Lola would receive the level of care and love that their own animals receive. With only a recommendation from my primary vet, I took a chance with Happy Paws. And I was blown away by the level of compassion, care and the accommodations for my pets medical needs. Lola was with them for nearly a week and received exactly what I was looking for. They monitored her, spent time with her, and when her wound became infected (this is not because of level of sanitation being low, but Lola’s decreased immune system from her medication) Theresa drove her into the emergency vet personally and was actively communicating with me via the phone on her condition. Lola is doing much better now and on the road to full recovery. If you bring your pet here, I can vouch that from the owner to the staff that they will treat your pet with the same love and care that you do. Finding Happy Paws has been a huge relief. We had two dogs when we first found them and one of our dogs is a rescue who can be a bit reactive when around other dogs and strange people. She's not a bad or unusual dog, she just needs someone willing to take the time to understand her and what she needs to feel secure. Every other place we took her never took the time and just isolated her away from the other dogs and people while we were gone. On her very first weekend with Happy Paws, she was playing with other dogs and having a blast. When we commented on how surprising that was to the owner, she said she had simply put our dog with other dogs who respond well to her personality type. It means so much to us to be able to leave town and know that she is being well taken care of and not just shoved in an area by herself. We recently lost our second dog and Happy Paws not only grieved along with us but has done everything they can to help our rescue navigate her own grieving process, which has also meant a great deal to us. Happy Paws has given us peace of mind that our babies are being cared for (emphasis on the word care), understood, and loved. We will never go anywhere else for dog care.

Meghan and her husband were incredible when I was on my vacation to Montana when I needed care for my pooch Ollie to attend an unexpected funeral. They took Ollie almost instantly gave him the true love I give him. The facility is extremely spacious with tons of running room with her home adjacent to the facility. It's outside of Missoula in Lolo so its pretty quiet but easy to find from the highway. The rates were extremely reasonable and I never had one worry my pup was in great hands. Ollie gives it 4 big paws 🐾 and one short tail up (River Pic was a happy Ollie after his stay)

Furever friends is incredible! Not only are they so accommodating but have the cleanest facilities and beautiful play space for the pups. They take into consideration each dogs social needs and communicate wonderfully. So professional. It wasn’t until we tried another Missoula daycare when furever friends was fully booked that I realized What I was taking for granted. We will never return to the other place we tried and will be forever friends of Furever friends :) Thanks for being incredible!!!

Tabatha & Matt are the best. I have been taking my husky there for a few years. He is well cared for with plenty of playtime and interaction

Love this place! Smaller dog/handler ratios than most places means your dog is keenly watched and has a more enjoyable, less stressful day. The staff and owners are awesome and really care about the dogs. On those dangerously hot days, everyone comes inside to cool off and play in the a/c. My dog, Finley, really enjoys his play time at Furever friends!

Our small-to-mid-sized dog enjoys his stays. Spends the days playing with the other dogs and comes home exhausted. He never minds going back.

I just picked up my dog from a 3 day stay. Let me tell you about frank. He’s a high energy insane dog. Won’t stop. Ever. He yells in the car 100% of the time and runs around when he’s not buckled in. Today when I picked him up he got into the back of the car and layed down then proceeded to snore the loudest snore I’ve ever heard. I’ve never seen him so exhausted and I’m so happy he played his little heart out. Worth every single penny. Frank will be back!

A great place for dogs, they are always welcoming and sweet to our boys. We have one timid guy and he does well. They are comfortably taken care of for our long weekends away. Thank you Matt and Tab!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this business and the owner. The place is spotless with excellent indoor and outdoor play areas and always has a good mix of friendly pups for my big ole boy to play with. Prices are great! Hours are great! Location is great! I know my dog is really well cared for and safe with them.

My little PomChi wakes me up each morning waiting to go to Forever Friends Doggy Daycare. I Live up the street from them, that said, yesterday (Sunday) my little guy snuck out the front door. Typically opening the car door makes him run right back. NOT this time, instead he ran up the road to the daycare. NOW if that doesn't tell people that they are an amazing dog loving environment, then I don't know what will. They are clean, happy, fun and always with the animals. Thank you for the wonderful care you give my little guy.. Not to mention he is EXHAUSTED at the end of the day from playing. :)

Noelle is seriously the best!! She provided home drop-in care for our 2 tiny escape artists! She gave them the love they needed while we were away for the weekend and was super courteous with our home and care instructions! Couldn’t say enough great things about Noelle!!

The absolutely best! I cannot say enough positive things about Noelle and her business. We reached out to her when our dogs dreaded being left for doggie day care and boarding at all the usual places. She quickly become like family to us and our dogs. Noelle would pick up our pups weekly for hikes and she would drop them off happy and tired. With soccer weekends and vacations we used her often for boarding and our dogs felt as if it was their second home. Not even looking back as they ran to her! She is knowledgeable, reliable and very easy to communicate with. She would send us photos and keep us updated. Even taking care of one of our dogs when she got sick while we were away. We once had a flight that was cancelled and delayed us a full day and Noelle was super flexible and had no problems watching them the extra time. I trust Noelle implicitly as she truly loves animals and what she does.

My dog has been going to boarding with Noelle since she was a puppy.. my dog loves being there and I love knowing that she’s in the absolute best hands. Noelle understands dogs and takes the best care of them. The dogs have space to play and hike and rest and be part of her family while there. I’m so grateful for Noelle!

It’s a big relief to know when we are gone that our dogs receive top notch care including lots of exercise! I appreciate that she sends updates and pictures to the pet owner about how their dogs are doing. In addition, she has pictures on her Facebook page showing their adventures. Noelle is fantastic to work with! She’s friendly and flexible when things change. Her online booking system is user friendly. We have utilized her for boarding and doggie daycare.

Noelle is a lover of all dogs and an amazing choice for your boarding needs. They get great exercise and will come home tired and happy. Highly recommend Cheff Boarding House!

5 starts isn't enough... I can confidently leave my babies with the Cheffs and know they are gonna love on them like they are their own. Noelle is fantastic.
