Marlen was such a blessing. We had another sitter cancel just a week before our vacation date so I was so relieved that she was able to step in at such short notice. She came to meet our pups a few days in advance so they would recognize her. While we were away, Marlen sent picture updates and made sure the dogs were cared for. So glad to have found someone like her to help us out.

Susan and Jim were exceptional pet sitters for our 2 pups and cat! From the start they were communicative and asked thoughtful clarifying questions that made us feel comfortable immediately. We spent time together the evening before we left for vacation and it was clear that they had read our welcome doc and instructions. They referenced animal behaviors that were noted and confirmed details. They arrived about an hour before we left and gave us all plenty of time to feel comfortable with being in our home. Throughout our vacation, Susan sent photos and updates of our critters and let us know how they were spending their time together. Susan was quick to respond to my messages via WhatsApp any time I reached out. Susan and Jim stayed at our house until we landed at the airport and let them know we were safely on the ground. They fed and walked the dogs and let us know they would be gone before we got home. It was great knowing that had our flight been delayed, they would have stayed at the house until we were safe driving distance away. We came home to a sparkling clean home, a thriving and happy garden, and well cared for animals! Susan and Jim left us detailed notes of their stay and even gave us lots of instructions on how to keep our garden happy! What a treat! All our linens were washed and replaced and the house was immaculate. Thank you Susan and Jim for choosing our home and furry family to spend your time with! You were the best first experience we could have asked for and would love to have you back again!

Such a great family! George, Larissa and their crew were a fantastic bunch. Our large senior dog got an eye infection right before we left for our trip and so we had to ask them to do some extra eye care. When it was clear that it wasn’t getting better they were willing to load up Lorax and take him to a vet appointment and then apply the prescribed ointment for the next week and a half. Definitely above and beyond care that we really appreciated! Our house was left in great shape, our pets were super well cared for, and George and Larissa were great communicators. We have had many many sitters over the past 3 years but this was the first family. Nothing to worry about, they were terrific and we would happily have them back again. Thanks for taking such good care of our fury family and our home!

Cindy is an absolutely fantastic sitter and we feel very lucky to have had her care for our dog and our home whilst we went on our family holiday. Her communication before and throughout our sit was fantastic, and she even took our dog to the vet when he needed an unexpected checkup. She took great care of him and sent daily updates including videos and photos of their time together. We could tell that he felt very relaxed in her company. Lori is the best of the best! I would recommend her 100 times over! Lori is great at communicating and our dogs were extremely happy. She was very attuned to our dog’s anxiety and did a great job making the dogs feel safe and loved. The house was spotless when we returned. Lori also had the job of taking care of my numerous plants. I have to say the plants look better when I got home than they did before I left😂 Lori has a green thumb. Lori is so kind and just a wonderful person. Lynn and Ray were fabulous sitters, going above and beyond to take care of our home, yard, and rambunctious pup. Leaving him for three weeks was very difficult but we felt confident once we met them. They are great communicators, very professional, capable of handling any situation, and personable. Since they are fully self-contained in their van, they arrived a day early so we could show them the place, have our dog Bailey get comfortable with them (that was immediate ☺), and get to know them over dinner together. While on our trip, they sent us daily photos of Bailey, which we really appreciated, and updates on their activities. They took him hiking almost every day and kept him well exercised. Any issues that came up (e.g., our irrigation water ran dry a couple weeks in) they communicated to us and we were able to resolve them quickly. They also harvested ripe berries and squash for us and even harvested and dried tomatoes in our dryer. We spent our entire trip feeling assured that all things were being taken care of and feel ever so grateful that we found Lynn and Ray through TH. We returned from our trip to a house that was thoroughly cleaned (better than we left it ☺), with fresh sheets on the bed, and a happy dog. Five-star sitters for sure!

The two-leggeds and four-legged members of this household give Tess a 5-star rating! We think she's one of the best sitters you will find - highly communicative, friendly, competent, reliable, and great with pets. Tess was also flexible about start and end dates to accomodate possible winter weather complications. For this sit, Tess was able to bring along her mom, Cathy. Tess introduced me to Cathy during one of our Skype conversations prior to the sit. It was a bonus to have her here with Tess. Their travel to Marquette was complicated by weather. A fierce winter storm swept across Michigan just before the sit. It took Tess and Cathy two days to drive here but they arrived, as promised, in time for us to fly out early the next morning. We even had time for a lovely dinner together and to introduce them to the dogs and house. We left the next day and never had a moment's worry while Tess and Cathy were caring for our pets and home. Tess sent us regular updates and photos. The dogs immediately accepted them as great new additions to their pack of friends - even our cranky, old chihuahua, Nike! We returned to happy pets and a spotlessly clean home. We plan to invite Tess (and Cathy if available) to return for future sits. Thank you, Tess and Cathy!

Charlie was again an outstanding sitter for us whilst we were away at a wedding. This is the second time having Charlie and although we have not met face to face we completely trust her with our home and of course our cat, Nala. Charlie left the house spotless which is amazing to come home to after a long day of travelling. Very negative experience with houseguard sitters, I have been speaking with house guard for almost two weeks now in planning out the process while we were away. Two days before our trip house guard sends an email on a sunday morning saying that they cannot now commit to the days we requested and leaves us in a total scramble now to find care. The sitters were to come over to the house and even meet our dogs and this didnt happen

Patricia is compassionate, highly educated, and an absolutely first-rate dog handler. I've competed in her CARO Rally Obedience ring, and against her in dogsledding. You can expect a highly-organized, well-run show, and her boarding kennel is the same. I would leave my dogs with her any time. Highly recommend!

Sammy Marr is a miracle worker. She has a gift with animals. She was able to help me with my aggressive Great Dane and did a wonderful job rehabbing her. My dog was able to live a normal life after the board and train and numerous group classes. I never thought my dog could coexist with other dogs and live a normal life that included outings with other dogs. Sammy has been excellent resource and is very good at what she does! I trust Sammy with my dogs and I know they’re in excellent hands when they stay at the kennel. My dogs come home tired and happy.
My dog loves to go here and gets so excited the second we turn into the driveway. Gets to make lots of new friends and he’s always ready for bed once we get home. Always a good bath time experience too. Definitely recommend!
I LOVE LOVE Smart Dogs. I take my 4 dogs to daycare and they are so exhausted when they get home. Sometimes they don't even want to walk with me at night because they are to tired. The love they receive from Sammy and her staff is amazing.

Fantastic Grooming Service! I took my Shih Tzu, Rocco, to Happy Tails Pet Resort and Spa (Kimberly) and the results were amazing! The staff was friendly and professional, and the facility was clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to ask about Max’s grooming needs and any specific concerns I had. I appreciated their attention to detail and the care they showed throughout the process.Rocco came out looking great with a shiny coat and trimmed nails. Always a great time. My dog is super hairy and everytime he comes home from the groomers he looks so handsome and smells so good. I love the fact I can drop my dog off before work and leave him there all day and not have to worry about a thing.
I can’t recommend Happy Tails enough! I have been sending Clodagh, my 1.5 year old lab x, since she was 6 months old. All the staff are unbelievably kind and go above and beyond to make sure your pup is happy and safe! I genuinely consider them my HT family. :) My pup has developed some doggy daycare burnout and the HT family has been so understanding and supportive with Clodagh.
I was coming in from out of town and had to bring my dog because my Mom was ill it was a last minute trip and I had nobody that could take him at that time. Happy Tails was fan-freaking-tastic. I filled out althea paperwork and sent proof of vax all over email and they got me in for the 4 days I needed. The ladies there were amazing and I even got a report card for my dog (seriously, how cute). My dog had a great time - would highly recommend!

My dog Mia got groomed today and the results were perfect. All of the employees I talked to were super nice and helpful. Mia is kind of timid and she was pretty comfortable at Happy Tails around the other dogs and with the staff. So that tells me the place is a relaxing environment for her. :)
