Dog Sitters in Gunnison, CO

We needed a place to leave our puppy Arlo while we skied. We are from out of town and were nervous to leave our new pup with people we didn’t know, but Dog Cabin Resort was great! It was good for Arlo to socialize with other dogs and the staff sent us updates and pictures of his day there. Each day he was so excited to go to day care and he came back excited and completely wore out from all the play time. I could not recommend this place enough.

I used Dog Cabin for training for my 12 week old puppy. Karen was fantastic. Dynamite made great progress in the 6 weeks that we were able to go (we had to return home). Dynamite loved the sessions and being able to socialize with the other dogs. I would 100% recommend Karen and Dog Cabin. Even if you are here for a month, consider spending time with your dog training with Karen. It is a great way to spend fun time with your dog and given their pricing model it is incredibly affordable.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My puppy is so excited every time she gets to go to daycare. She comes home tired and happy. The staff there is great too and you can really tell they love dogs! The highlight of my day is when I get a report card from the staff with a sweet description and cute picture.

I will never take my little guy anywhere else for grooming! They are so professional, fast and thorough. He loves going there and they are so good with him!!!

This is the best daycare and boarding facility I’ve used for Maddie. Unfortunately I moved out of the valley, but Karen did a great job running this place for the two years I was here. The staff was excellent. Very responsive - if somebody couldn’t get to the phone, they’d called you back. They have a good deal on daycare passes that don’t expire. They also take pictures of your pup! I think Karen and Mark also did a great job of getting to know all the clients and their dogs. This is unlike a facility I used in Denver (woofhaus) where you can’t get ahold of anybody, no pictures, passes expire after 60 days, and the owners/workers really could care less. You could always text this place anytime and let them know your ETA on Sunday after boarding or try to get an appointment for grooming. Maddie loved this place and I’m sure she misses it. Mark also did a great job on grooming.

Karen and her staff are wonderful with our dog, who is a very high maintenance hound dog! All of them take good care of him and of us, excellent communication, easy to get ahold of, and so accommodating. Our pup loves to go to doggy day care and we trust them for over night boarding too. Cannot recommend Karen enough!! So grateful for this resource in a small town!!!

Dog Cabin Resort is a fabulous place to bring your pup for boarding, day care and grooming! Karen and Mark are knowledgable and loving. Our dog Lola is a rescue and had socialization issues. We needed a place to board her where she felt safe and cared for. Karen understood this and knew how to help. Lola is considerably more at ease being with other dogs and loves being there. I highly recommend Dog Cabin Resort!

We took Burton to daycare for two days when we went skiing. He was skittish at first but the second day he was ready to go back and see his buddies. He was clean when we picked him up. We will use them next time.

We brought our new rescue dog, Buddy into be groomed. He came out smiling and so clean...his hair was actually a different color!! They got him in the schedule quickly. Another groomer had a one month wait time! Would recommend them for dog grooming.

Karen and the folks at Dog Cabin Resort take such great care of the dogs and puppies. We love bringing our 9 month old pup to play with the other dogs and she seriously loves it, too. It is a wonderful, clean, and kind environment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Perfection! This place is SPOTLESS with a staff that truly cares and the dogs know it! We had a 4 day overnight board and could not have asked for more from Pet Au Paire and staff. Ricky Bobby & Shake n Bake had the time of their lives! We strongly recommend the adventure and off leash walks. They had so much fun playing with the other sweet dogs (I think they made some lifelong friends) and slept well every night. We just picked them up and they are out cold exhausted!! Thank you PAP team - we will be back next year for a week with every extra we can order!

We frequent crested butte a LOT with our pups and usually we just take them on our adventures with us or leave them in the car (for winter and cool weather. They’re husky mixes they love it pls don’t come at me) but recently we’ve gotten super into mountain biking which isn’t the most dog friendly activity and found pet au pairs! They were great! Our pups came back so tired and ready to sleep and chill at our camp site. Our bigger pup yeti was able to get his nails clipped which was awesome! Most places you have to do a trial run but pet au pairs as long as your dogs are friendly and up to date on vaccines they will take them!!! They also do adventure off leash walks which we debated doing as well but definitely will try the next time we’re in town! We enjoyed it so much we booked the next day last minute. Our pups were SO excited to return the next day. 10/10 recommend.

We travelled to Created Butte from Texas for a week’s stay. We booked our dog for a week at Pet Au Pairs. Our evening flight was cancelled and we had to fly the next evening, with an 88 year old wheelchair bound mother and an Alzheimer’s stricken young adult on Saturday night to get there. We brought the dog Sunday and they were closed. Another day down. I called leaving several messages and spoke to Lexi an assistant. She said she couldn’t find our reservation but had already charged our credit card for a deposit. What? Finally we reached Meg, the owner, to tell her that we would no longer be coming as our vacation was now half way over. All Meg did was tell me how irresponsible we were for not calling during our messed up travel days to let them know. Maybe that’s true but she had no sympathy or human regard for the strain of our trip and that they were not available to take our dog once we did arrive on the Sunday. They kept our $238 deposit without discussion. I suggest you all check out other means of boarding your dogs as Pet Au Pairs will not be willing to work with you if you have unexpected circumstances. Never again Pet Au Pair. Terrible customer service.

My long haired dog Lucy was very matted and in need of a groom. Did a very very good job of getting all of her Matt’s out she came out so pretty and soft I recommend anyone in need of a groom to go here if your in the gunnison valley

We used pet au pairs for two days of doggy day care for our 9 month old giant schnauzer while we were skiing. I can’t say enough positive things about this place! It felt small, clean, and they were so attentive! The staff was amazing, seemed to really care for our pup and was eager to show us how and what she did during the day. She came back tired and excited to return the next day. We will certainly be using again should we ever need care while in town again!

Meg and Dylan were absolutely amazing with my girl Ava. She can get overwhelmed in some of the larger doggie day care settings, but thrived in the smaller, more one on one environment at Pet Au Pairs. They kept me updated with pictures via text throughout the day, and the daycare report cards at the end of the day when I picked her up were so wonderful. This is Ava having a "conversation" in the office. She had a wonderful time!

We had an amazing experience with Pet Au Pairs! We were in town for a ski trip and dropped our 8 year old cocker spaniel off for a few days. She absolutely loved doggy daycare and came home exhausted and happy.

Meg and her team are awesome! We’ve never felt so comfortable boarding our dog and he had a great time! He really loved the off leash walks.

Meg helped me with training my dachshund puppy Schnitzel. I felt she was firm but patient.She taught him to walk the on the leash and stay in place, etc. I was delighted that he responded to what she taught him and he is still doing well. The only issues I have with him have been because I'm the one that is not well trained and usually any bad behavior is because I allowed it. Bad Human!! Good Schnitzel!!

Meg and her whole team are so fantastic! We have a cat and a bearded dragon and we trust both under the care of anyone at Pet au Pairs. We travel quite a bit and it’s nice to not have to worry about anything while we are gone.

At other vet clinics there may be one person that stands out and gives you the feeling that they genuinely care about every pet that visits but at critter sitters everyone gives you that feeling. It's not just their wealth of compassion for your animals, but they make you feel like a friend as well. I've never been upsold or paid more than I was expecting. They truly exemplify the colorful small town spirit of Gunnison!

The very best! Our dogs LOVE going there when we have to leave town and Dr. Bailey & the crew took great care of a medical emergency of one of our doggos when we were out of the country. Very professional and personal care!

Back in October we were elk hunting opening weekend. Everything was going well beside the fact that no one filled their tags... we were out there for a week straight... on the last day while we were packing up everything to leave our black lab was running up an embankment and somehow managed to get a 6 inch stick in between his toes all the way up into his elbow joint. When we finally had service I called everywhere. No one had time to squeeze him in, it would’ve been faster driving all the way back to woodland park then it would for him to be seen somewhere else. FINALLY after calling multiple places and being told no or mayyybe tomorrow, Critter Sitters saved the day. I was so thankful, my 2 year old has never had anything wrong with so this was very scary for all of us. The staff and doctor here are amazing. Thank you so much for helping us out in our time of need!

I boarded our dogs for the first time and was told pickup was Sunday at 3:00. We also were told that due to the bridge outage, they realized it was an issue with pickup times and to call to pick up outside of the 3-5 timeframe. We arrived at 2:30, there's no one at the business to answer the phone. Staff showed up at 2:45 and can't help us. The owner comes around from the back, doesn't even walk over to us, says pickup is 3:30 and it's been that way for 20 years. It was so rude. I will not be coming back to a place that treats customers this way. Dog Cabin Resort in town is so much more customer friendly.

These guys are great!! They took great care of our pup while we were away, and were attentive to our dogs needs, when they noticed our puppy might want a little space from the other dogs they found a way to put him in a different area where he could relax a little! I know our dog was in good caring hands when we were gone and we'll use them every time we're in CB!!

Maddie misses this daycare tremendously. She came here every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 years before we moved out of the valley. I would take the bus down to gunni for work before OBD opened but they would pick up Maddie from my home for daycare. She loved the outdoor space even when it was subzero temps! Denver is a bit warm for her. When walking Maddie in CB, I’d run into employees from OBD that would come up and pet her. All of my neighbors sent their pups here. I’m sad we don’t have facilities like this in Denver.

We used the daycare for our 2 boys while we went skiing during the week (visiting from out of town). Super chill crew, nice facility and our boys had lots of fun. Will be back when we're in the area again! Thanks guys!

Words cannot describe how much I love this place and the people who work there. Have been taking my dogs here for about 6 years and even though my fuzzy children are a serious handful they always take great care of them and make them feel loved. Thank you OBD!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our dog stayed here while we were traveling on a family vacation. He did great and we felt like he was in good hands. I trust them and would definitely recommend to others.

Great place to drop your dog off for the day or overnight. They have a large outdoor playground for the dogs to play in. Our Golden Doodle is always pooped at the end of the day after playing hard all day!

We left our pup here when we were shooting an 8 hour wedding day in Crested Butte and they were amazing! They took the time to meet him and introduce him to the other dogs, and he was super tired when we picked him up. Will definitely use them again if we're back in the area!

Since the 1st time I contacted Arie, she was quick to respond and very thorough with communication and details. It was her attention to details that helped us with the decision of boarding our fur babies with her. We kept in touch for weeks before our trip and she welcomed us to her house pre-booking so we could see the place. She came to our house to meet our dogs too. The entire week our dogs were with her she kept us updated with pics & videos multiple times a day. That was my favorite part! She took care of our babies like if they were her own. Definitely will be using her again in the future!

Arie was great with my pup Koda and took really good care of him during drop in home visits. Typically an anxious dog when I’m away, he really took to Arie and provided him the best care! Update: has been going to Arie for about 6 months and she has been heaven sent. As a dog trainer, she’s taught me so many tips for Koda and he’s always so excited to be left in her care. Her video updates while in her care was an added bonus while away. Best sitter I’ve had!

Sunday afternoon on our short noticed family gathering, sweet Arie accepted my inquiry for Peppa our 2.5yo Olde Bulldog boarding confirmation. Upon arrival she greeted us at the front yard, and with masks was welcomed to have Peppa come in. I was extremely impressed with her professionalism, filling out details in the paperwork of specifications about my dog ie. Medical needs and attention, time to feed, behavioral intake. I felt at ease learning that she is attending school to become a professional K-9 trainer. Initially, her two dogs naturally got excited with having Peppa arrive, she quickly excused herself to attend her 2 dogs and I knew immediately that she has the attentiveness and alertness of a good trainer. Videos of Peppa were sent often in the boarding process and there were plenty of toys to be enjoyed. She used her best judgement to have our fur babies not to mix since Peppa is still intact, I really appreciate this. She looked out for us when in the past others may have overlooked. Thank you for having us Arie Train N’ Tails. We will come back the next time we’re in Orlando.

I’ve been taking my baby girl to her for a few months now and she loves it! I really wish i could post a video. She has a friends to play with for hours, great bathes, gentle nail cuts and a cute bandanna after every visit! I highly recommend!

Arie took amazing care of my baby, Cleo. Cleo needs lots of attention and loves to play and Arie made sure my girl had plenty of both. Arie made my dog feel comfortable with her before even starting the service. My pup is terrified of getting his nails trimmed but with Arie the process was so much easier. She was very gentle, patient, & caring towards my dog. The way she slowly got my dog to feel comfortable with the nail filer was awesome. Definitely will recommend & will be going back.

Arie took visited our home twice daily to pet sit our 3 cats while we were away for a week of travel. She gave our cats great care while we were away, sent pictures and videos from her visits with them, and brought in any packages that had been delivered each day. Arie accomodated all of our requests and I'm so happy we had her help!

When your puppy or grown dog, goes to Vanessa's house for daycare or overnight care, there are a number of things you can count on. 1. Your dog will be treated like a member of the family. Vanessa welcomes the dogs she cares for into her home and her family. 2. Your dog will become a member of a pack. Vanessa has 3 of her own dogs and screens all new dogs coming into that pack for compatibility. No mean aggressive dogs allowed! 3. Your dog will come home exhausted and happy! Vanessa offers lots of play time for the pups in her care. She even provides a kiddy pool to cool off in on hot days. Lots of play time and interaction with other dogs always guarantees a happy and content dog upon pickup. Vanessa came to my rescue after I brought home an energetic Australian Shepard. I work full time and was not able to give this new puppy the attention and exercise she needed. I started taking my pup to Vanessa's at about 5 months old 2 - 3 times a week. When I brought my pup home, she was quite content which made my training so much easier. I am very grateful to Vanessa and her kind and professional approach to taking care of other peoples fur babies.

Vanessa was a true professional that took care of our animals like they were her own. Dependable, trustworthy, and caring, she did an amazing job looking after our fur family. She updated us on our pets continously and even sent pictures! We have tried other pet sitters but Vanessa provides a level of service that is exemplary. We have found our go to pet sitter and truly appreciate her caring and compassion for our animals.

Vanessa is amazing and we feel very fortunate that our paths crossed. Our “Ellie” came from an abusive situation so she has trust issues with new people. When we recently relocated from another state to Colorado we knew it would be challenging finding the right connection to care for her while we are out of town. If we could have moved our FL doggy sitter with us it would have been nice, as there was much anxiety about finding a new caretaker. Vanessa has been nothing short of incredible. She drove up to our home and did three introductory visits prior to us going out of town. This was beyond our expectations and we were thrilled to see how Ellie took to Vanessa. Since then we have taken two trips out of town and Vanessa has been wonderful. Each and every day we received text messages giving us an update on Ellie, along with several pictures of ‘play-time’. It brought such peace of mind knowing that she was being well cared for, and in our home. We felt very connected the entire trip, and never worried. Typically when one boards their pet it is always comes with a sense of worry. However, this has not been the case with Vanessa. I always felt at ease, and excited when the next text message would arrive with a new daily update. Not to mention the fact that she goes above and beyond making trips during winter storms to ensure Ellies' needs were taken care of. From the moment you meet Vanessa you will see that she is compassionate about animals, excited about her work and always seems to have your pets care as her top priority.

We could not be more happy with Peace of Mind - Pet Services. We know when we leave our pets in there care they are safe and being loved just like we do at home. I have had the pleasure to get to know Jessica through the vet clinic i work for and have always been impressed with how well behaved her dogs are. My husband and i knew that Jessica would be who we would use to train all our puppies that we added to our small breeding business. Jessica started working with our 18 week old corgi Clara and in the first two day she had all ready taught her how to heal and to sit when you stop walking. After the first week with Jessica she knew the Sit, down, stay, and wait command which has transitioned over to feeding time and coming in and out of the house. As well as what leave it means ( one of our favorite commons at home) and out !!!! After just such a short time Clara is starting to place.The most impressive part of Clara's training is that everyone at our home can use all these commands Jessica has taught her and can get results. My self and my 17 year old son can work Clara and get the same results as Jessica and this has been after only 2 weeks of training. We are very excited to work with Peace of Mind with future litters of puppy's being able to offer new owners puppy kindergarten and turnkey puppy's !

Jessica trained 3 pups from our last litter, and although the circumstances weren’t ideal (the pups were older and had some separation anxiety), they came away with excellent fundamentals and command recognition. Even after months of being away with their new families, they still know all the commands she taught them and it built the foundation for them to be very well behaved and adjusted dogs. Thanks Jessica for your hard work and dedication even under trying circumstances! Highly recommend Jessica for her training program.

Jessica and Wade are very professional and run a clean and well looked after small boarding facility. We know our dogs are well taken care of, and appreciate the daily group plays in their grassy yard. We are also comforted in knowing that all boarders must be current on vaccinations, and this is a requirement to board.

Jessica and Wade at Peace of Mind Dog Boarding are amazing. They make you feel like part of their family and have always been so accommodating for our dog Moose! He is a 130lb Leonberger that loves to romp in their large backyard. Their love and knowledge of dogs have helped Moose when he needed some extra training and support! We have been able to leave Moose for long stays and he is always happy when we pick him up. I highly recommend their loving place for your best friend.

This is absolutely the BEST place to leave your dog. I've had Jessica watch my Mini Schnauzer several times some overnight and some for just the day to be with other dogs. She is so good with them. I thought my mini was dog agressive. Jessica took her knowing she had to keep an eye on her and i don't know what she did but dog agressive she is not. She is so good with dogs. And, she's a good person to....

We would not leave our fur baby any place but here! Jessica is the best with providing a safe clean comfortable playful environment for our Aussie. We are very particular about who cares for our girl Annie in our absence and never have a moments worry when she is with Jessica. She is flexible and accommodating and will even text us pictures during Annie’s stay. We cannot give any higher recommendation!

I always feel guilty when I board Sam (our pit mix) with Jessica… but I am not sure why because he just runs in to her wagging his tail and always seems so happy. Never had any issues, and know he is perfectly taken care of. Thank you!!

Jessica and Wade have been taking care of my puppies for many years now. I trust them completely, and more importantly, so do my dogs. Both dogs get excited when we head up the hill to their house and can't wait to get out of the car. Jessica gave Lyle, my pug, his insulin shots and lots of love when he got sick. Pepper and Cash are welcomed at short notice and treated like royalty. Alas Lyle has since passed away but will never be forgotten, our newest little girl, June, will be visiting Jessica and Wade soon. Seriously, they're the best, you won't have to worry for a moment when they're watching your fur babies.

For so many years Jessica and Wade have watched our high energy german wire hair. They cared for him from when he was a wild one and now as an old dog. I trust he is well taken care of and really appreciate their flexibility with his needs and our schedule. They're amazing!

I seriously won't trust anybody else with my dogs!!! Jess kept us updated while we were away with pictures, which was nice. She is consistent, kind, patient, knowledgeable and Montrose is lucky to have her as an option to care for our pets!! ❤️

I live in Texas and my elderly mother lives alone in Montrose with her small dog. Unfortunately, my mother fell in her home and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Me not knowing any pet boarding facilities in Montrose I was fortunate enough to only make one phone call. Cindy won me over in conversation as well as taking such good care of Luke. Highly recommend her for your small fur babies.

Pearls pet lodge is the only place I take my dogs. My dogs are ecstatic every time we pull into their driveway. Cindy & Paul provide the highest level of care and have a personal connection with both my dogs. They set the standard for excellence.

This lady actually told me she doesn't board dobermans because she was attacked as a kid by one.Thats like me saying I don't do business with a certain race over being attacked by them.And yes that's happened to me as a kid.Completely judgemental!!!!!

Cindy is the most caring and loving person of my dog, aside from me. I know my dog is well cared for, as she is excited when we arrive @ the kennel. A great space for my pet.

Pearl's Pet Lodge is such a wonderful place for dogs to be. Whether it be for doggy daycare or for boarding, Cindy and Paul are wonderful. My maltipoo, Bella has been going to Pearl's Pet Lodge for 4 1/2 years. The lodge is immaculate, and there is lots of love and affection. We are very blessed to have Pearl's Pet Lodge take care of Bella.

Pearl’s Pet Lodge is Amazing. I have been taken my Maltipoo to doggy daycare for the last 3 1/2 years. When I travel I always board Bella with Cindy and Paul and I never have to worry about her. Cindy texts and sends pictures/videos the entire time I’m gone. The lodge is immaculate. The play yard has plenty of shade and is a fun play place. Thank you Cindy and Paul for loving Bella.

I have been taking my 2 little dogs to Pearl’s Pet Lodge for doggie daycare and boarding services for over 3 years. They are both super excited every time we enter Cindy and Paul’s driveway and they are exhausted when they come home, so I know that they love it there. Clean facility, awesome (shaded) play yard and wonderful, caring owners. Would highly recommend!

We are so thankful that we found Pearl’s Pet Lodge for our little fur babies! We have been taking Dyson & Dodge to Pearl’s Pet Lodge since they opened & love that we have such an awesome place for them to stay! Communication is so easy to setup dates/times and the facility is so clean and fun. Our dogs come home happy and healthy & the owners are so fantastic! 🐾

My fiancé and I came in from Texas and showed up last minute needing someone to watch our two golden retrievers while we ran into the court house to grab our marriage license! Cindy was MORE than accommodating and knew we were in a major time crunch. She heard us pull up and ran out, grabbed our babies real fast and we took off! She was so awesome and sweet and a HUGE life saver for us! Thank you thank you Cindy!! Oh by the way, the place is gorgeous and perfectly put together! Our boys enjoyed their 45 minute stay. They’re passed out in the back seat now! I highly recommend this place!

Our pup, Sadie, is excited and ready to head to Iron Will Dog Lodge for doggy daycare every morning. We love that she gets socialization and plenty of exercise with the other dogs. It’s evident how much the staff love on our animals in all the daily photos we receive. We love Iron Will Dog Lodge and you will too!!

I can't say enough great things about Iron Will Dog Lodge and they deserve all the love and care they give our best friends! My dog Cinna absolutely adores it there—every time we turn onto the road leading to the lodge, he starts bouncing around with excitement, and it's clear he has the best time when I pick him up. I also appreciate the photos they send, which really help me feel connected and reassured while I'm away from my little guy. The trust I have in them to care for my dog is unmatched; I truly believe it's the best dog lodge in the state since Cinna has been to many! I 10/10 highly recommend!

I recently boarded my St. Bernard at Iron Will Dog Lodge, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, communicative, honest, and helpful. They responded very quickly to any concerns I had, and when my dog ran out of food, they went above and beyond by going to Petco to get his specific brand. I especially loved the option for one-on-one buddy time and the grooming services they offered. The pictures they sent me of my dog were a wonderful touch, and it was clear he was well taken care of and happy. Overall, I loved this experience and I’m sure my dog did too. I highly recommend Iron Will for anyone looking for top-notch care for their furry friend.

My high energy Aussies have been going to Iron Will since they were puppies. It is literally their home away from home. They love their dog friends and also love the caring staff. Iron Will loves my dogs as if they were their own. I know they show that same love to every dog that comes through their doors. Whether it's doggy day care or boarding, I know my dogs are always safe and happy at Iron Will. We are so thankful to be a part of the Iron Will family!!!

Our dogs first time to iron Will dog lodge was also her first time to a boarding facility. We could not be happier with the place that we chose. Upon arrival, our dog was clearly, very anxious and unwilling to enter the facility.Iron Will staff were completely understanding, extremely patient and took all the time necessary to calm our dog until she was ready to enter the facility. Hours later, we received photos that showed her very happy and playing with the other dogs. One month later we return to the facility, and she waltzed right in comfortably and was clearly excited to enter. The staff even relayed that there were four other dogs from her prior playground there again that same weekend. This is incredible personal attention. They truly have the dogs eat interest at the forefront of their business. We also appreciate the prompt communication during our dogs stay, and believe that she truly gets the best care possible. We highly recommend this facility!!!

Best dog daycare / boarding in town!! My puppy Ralph absolutely loves it here and is always so excited to come back. They post daily pictures and updates. Staff are all super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Easily one of the best kennels that I’ve used. We have a reactive dog and they were able to take care of her and paid special attention to her needs. They also upload photos every day - really great service.

Our pup Emmy had the best time here. I was nervous because she had never been boarded before but the staff was so nice and made us feel great. This was one of the first photos they uploaded and it made me so happy! We will be back :)

This wonderful facility is where you want to board your dog. We have used numerous facilities in Colorado and California over the past twenty years. Iron Will Dog Lodge is the best. Our dogs return to us happy and healthy after every visit and the staff members are absolutely wonderful. Iron Will Dog Lodge has elevated the standards for what is means to be a superior dog boarding facility in Colorado.

Poor Customer Service and Communication. Received a call from Alpha Dog Care's owner 4 days before start of overnight boarding reservation that our dog was no longer welcome at facility. This is after our dog had been at Alpha Dog Care on three separate occasions and no issues ever reported to me at time of pick ups. In addition, a staff member commented how much she loved our dog. Last minute cancellation on part of the owner caused my family to have to cancel a weekend getaway due to being unable to scramble for plan b pet care.

I recommend the multitude of Rovers or the other dog boarding facility (Wag-n-tails) over Alpha Dog. They are much better at communication, less expensive, more flexible and way friendlier.

Took great care of our somewhat nervous pup. She ate all her food and had no readjustment issues. We cannot thank you all enough! Great facilities, ability to go outside and stay inside, and also allows the pups to play but gets set break times in the day!

The staff here was really great! We called to see if they could take our two dogs for the day so we could get out and do a days hike without them. When we dropped them off I let the staff know that one of the dogs was not very socialized with other dogs and asked them if she could be kenneled away form the other dogs. They put both of our dogs in a separate part of the kennel where they could run and play and visit with the other dogs through the fence. When we went to pick them up they were happy and well exercised. We will definitely use Alpha Dog Care the next time we are in the Salida area.

Such a fun environment for your fellow fur friends. The owner is incredibly down to earth, sweet family guy who is ready to have a great day with your pup. Definitely recommend this place for day stay or overnight, you can rest assured that you dog is in fabulous hands!

Excellent clean spacious facility with friendly staff. Options for every pup to go outside as frequently as they like. Great location too by the brewery. Our 2 large dogs had a positive experience while we rafted the Arkansas river. 5 stars!

This is the best dog daycare I have ever brought my dog to. It is so clean and spacious. I have absolutely zero worries about taking my dog here. Dane is fantastic and great to work with a check in and check out.

I am so grateful that this facility exists! I was passing through Buena Vista, CO to visit some family on my way to Oregon for a cross-country move. Alpha Dog was in a perfect location. They were thorough in their information and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my doggos for a couple of nights. It gave my boys a great chance to expend some energy, make new doggy friends, and be in a safe and friendly environment. Thank you for a great experience, Alpha Dog Daycare!!!

We opted to try Alpha Dog rather than leave our 7 month old pup in his crate at the hotel while we hit the slopes. We're so glad we did too! Our little dude had a blast! And, the guy (I assume the owner) was so sweet when we picked him up. He told us how our pup did and even mentioned that he kept jumping in his lab to cuddle when the owner would sit down. Our pup is like our baby so it made us feel so great that someone was showing him attention in addition to all the other super sweet pups he got to play with. We will definitely take advantage of Alpha Dog the next time we head to Monarch to ski!

We had a great first experience here. Jackson was super friendly and as far as we can tell, our dog had an epic time here playing with all of the other pups. We’ll definitely be using Alpha as our go-to for boarding.
