Jo always provides a friendly service that has at times gone beyond our expectations. She does a super job looking after our cats. One of which is old and needs a little extra care. We highly recommend Critter Creche.

Jo has looked after our rabbits many times. She is fantastic with them. Your fur babies will be in safe hands while you’re away.

Jo looked after our two bunnies and we couldn't recommend her enough. They had a lovely space with indoor and outdoor runs, and clearly had a great time as it was difficult to get them back in their carrier to come home! Thank you again Jo for looking after Gatsby and Daisy!

I was very pleased to see the arrangements Jo had made for my rabbit's recent stay. The pen was spacious with a number of activities to keep my bunny occupied. And there was an outdoor area in the daytime too. I was also impressed by the updates provided by Jo. I was nervous about leaving my rabbit with a new person but a combination of Jo's friendly professionalism and seeing the accommodation put me fully at ease. I'll look forward to the next occasion.

Booked our 2 bunnies in the superior accommodation over Easter this year, and what a lovely time they had! The views are amazing there, and they had lots of space indoor, and out, for them to run around. Very affordable luxury, and they were so well looked after, even had their toe nails clipped! James is fantastic with Bernard, taking into account his temperament, age and health. He’s also on hand for helpful advice such as which size crate to buy and has advised me on local walks suitable for Bernard. Bernard loves his walks with James and it’s great to have such a committed and trustworthy dog walker.

Can’t recommend James enough! He is fantastic with our 11 month old rather large Old tyme English bulldog Pablo! He has mixed him with lots of new furry friends and takes him on some great walks/adventures! Very trustworthy and reliable, he sends us lots of great photos and videos, we are really happy knowing our boy is in safe hands with James, xx

The fact that two hour walks are offered is brilliant and Brinkley loves the variety of dogs he gets to play with and the places he gets to visit. He obviously loves James and has a wonderful time. I have also used hiking hounds for home stays which was great as well. I would highly recommend James to others looking for safe, friendly and reliable support with their pets!

We are so pleased as you know that you are back dog walking again. You really are one of the best and really think about the Dog‘s needs regarding walks and adapting those walks to suit the dog. James is brilliant. Very knowledgeable and has worked wonders with our dog, introducing him to other pups successfully. He keeps us informed of how Wil has been on his walk and is just great for him.

If you love your dog then please do not use these home boarders. Our dog came back in a absolute mess. He lost over a stone in a week, he was covered in bite marks from other dogs and was completely filthy. While we were away I messaged Catherine numerous times to see how he was doing and all I got was ‘he’s fine’. I received no photos of him in the week we were away. Within 2 days of coming home he was severely vomiting and had diarrhoea which had blood in it. We took him to our vets who told us we needed to take him to a veterinary hospital immediately. They phoned them and told them we were coming. The hospital called me later that evening to say that he was critically ill and they didn’t know if he would make it through the night. Luckily he did. When we were eventually able to go and pick him up the vet told us that if we hadn’t taken him in when we did then we certainly would have lost him. He had gastroenteritis. If that goes untreated in dogs then they will die. She told us that there is absolutely no way that he wasn’t poorly while in the care of the home boarders - hence the weight loss yet we were not informed that he had been unwell. The vet then asked us to report them to our local council. So I rang Tameside and told them everything. I sent them photos and video evidence of the state of our boy. When I informed Catherine she honestly couldn’t care less. I found out a few days later that there a lot of people that don’t have good things to say about them yet they are a five star rated home boarders. Please don’t let that fool you. They shouldn’t even be in business!. After Tameside council getting in contact with them Catherine decided it would be a good idea to phone me as a ‘courtesy call’!!!. Not sure what planet this person is on really. Nearly kills my dog and then rings me 3 months after because I reported them to the council. She didn’t care when it happened. Please do not send your dog here. The consequences could be devastating.

Can not recommend Jon and Kath enough - they have had our dogs for over 2 years and they treat our dogs like their own. Both our dogs do have some medical needs and nothing is too much trouble. They are nice genuine people whom I feel always put our dogs 1st and have given them the best care they can. Such a rarety in this day and age !

Cath & Jon have been looking after our French bulldog Xander regularly over the last year. He absolutely adores them. He comes home happy & tired. Hes had a few sleepovers recently, during our wedding weekend & for our honeymoon. We wouldn't leave him with anyone else. A really big thank you , you're both doing a great job. Sue & Stuart

Koby has stayed many times now. I was initially worried he would come back different being around other dogs and other people, but absolutely has never been the case. We had plenty of updates while we were away too. He has the best time here. Thanks Jon and Catherine 🐾🐾 …

If I could, I would leave zero!! These people are neglecting dogs. This lady has been reported to council and trade standards and hope her licence will be revoked with immediate effect. ❗️I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME BOARDING ‼️ I thought, I will share my experience with this unprofessional home boarding. I was looking for home boarding for my pupster Dobermann, found them as they had good reviews. Two weeks ago I have texted if there are some spaces available for mid March, the lady said yes but he needs to go for trial. She said overnight stay, yes I do get trial but to take the dog overnight??? From 7pm to 7am…oh well ok. Then on the day she has cancelled (leaving me 3 days to find other boarding if she won’t be happy), ok agreed for Friday which was last night. It is in Styalbridge so I have 30 min drive one way. I drove, there is a residential estate full of midterreced houses, well, for boarding kennel, ok. She took the dog after 5 min talk I went back home. Literally, I walked back home and she phoned me saying I have to pick him up as he is barking. She said “ I took him in the back garden, he was happy, then I brought him back home, locked him and left him and went upstairs thenhe started barking, we are not 24/7 care unfortunately” Apparently this woman works full time, she told me that she is unable to look after dogs all the time. I was fuming, as I thought the purpose of home boarding is to provide 24/7 care as this is their job and client are paying for, also told her he is not get used to cages, also it is new environment for him so spend some time with him to settle, this woman has no approach whatsoever, she wanted to get rest after being whole day in work so she locked him and went upstairs! Shocking, I told her that she has no approach for dogs, where she reassured that she has two boxers and she knows how to handle dobermanns . She gave him literary 30 min of her precious time (being sarcastic), as she didn’t dedicate any time. Also why to do it overnight???? Not during the day where the dog can settle and get use to them. My puppy was traumatised and literally he ran away from her. After all conversation I had I had with her she blocked me! Well no idea how to deal with dogs and how to deal with clients. she is only open for easy money, dog in, crate, shut up and pay! Disgraceful and shocking. Avoid avoid and avoid! Also since then 4 other people contacted me that she blocked too, dogs were neglected with severe health problems due to lack of feeding, lack of care. I was unsure where to board my yorkie Bella as she had never been in kennels and I didn't want her in them someone recommended doggy day care and boarding ,I wasn't disappointed Katherine and her husband are great and kept me updated via WhatsApp with photos ,we are going away for 2 weeks later in the year and have no hesitation taking Bella back to stay there while we are away . Thank you both for keeping a worried doggy mum updated on her

Catherine and Jon are lovely people and we wouldn't send our staffy zara anywhere else. It's so nice to go away and no your dog is being very well looked after in a loving home.

What a find. Catherine and Jon looked after our elderly dog for two weeks. They sent us pics which showed us how chilled and relaxed he was.Would recommend to anyone that needs dog care. We would certainly use again.

Our staffy has just started his day visits to settle him before he stays for a week whilst we're away. Catherine and Jon are absolutely fantastic with him, I would high recommend them if your looking for daycare or home boarding.

We have a prickly reactive dog Billie, and walks were stressful and difficult. Our training sessions with Nicola were brilliant. Not only did she give us hints and training techniques but also so much confidence with Billie which has made our walks so much more fun and enjoyable. Nicola's training techniques are full of kindness, accompanied by small goals and comprehensive notes. I would highly recommend.

Really enjoyable puppy training sessions! Very knowledgeable and reassuring. Penny got to meet lots of new friends and became much more confident as well as learning some new skills

Rolo loved her walks with Megan which was reassuring when away on holiday, knowing my puppy was in excellent, professional hands! Megan provided pupdates after each walk giving me information on how the walk went (and how many treats she had!!). Organising times and days was so straightforward. I would not trust anyone else with my fur baby!! Thank you The Puppy Nanny!

Perfect puppy course was excellent! My little frenchie Bear absolutely loved going to class and we both learned so much. The training was very insightful, it covered everything and more to help him on his way to become a well behaved and polite puppy. I'm so grateful for all the amazing help and advice given from Nicola and the team. He also has walks out, another great service from the puppy nanny and has gone from not wanting to move to now walking beautifully and he loves it! One very happy puppy and happy owner. Thank you 🤩

Nicola is brilliant and has helped us so much as new puppy owners. Such good advice re crate training and creating a sleep schedule. Lots of tips that have really helped us survive the difficult first few months. Highly recommend her one to one advice and also the puppy classes. Martha, Andrew and I loved the Perfect Puppy and Annoying Adolescent academy courses with Nicola and her lovely team. Martha absolutely loves the training as well as the opportunity to socialise and is such a happy girl! We are really looking forward to the Fun and Focus course… I think that says a lot about how highly we recommend and enjoy these courses.

We have a new puppy which is lovely but exhausting, the biting, walking and sleeping issues. We contacted Nicola who had made home visits to help with our issues. Nicola gave us a plan of action to help with our problems. We now have a crate for Meg to sleep in when she’s tired, new lead to help with walks and she has helped us with socialising with other dogs and our young grandchildren. Which makes like with a puppy much easier. Great work Nicola without you we would still be struggling. Thank you, Phil, Shelagh and Meg

Amazing dog trainer - would highly recommend. She helped me train my puppy 10 years ago so when i got a new puppy this year i didn’t hesitate to go to her again. Nicola is so patient and welcoming. Fantastic service.

We enrolled our Nova (Labrador Retriever pup) in Nicola's Perfect Puppy course, and we have to say it has been an absolutely great experience! The class size is small, so Nicola is always attentive and answers any questions we had. Nova learnt basic but important commands and manners, and each lesson is effective, concise, with enough time to practice the new commands. He even made quite a few friends!

A few months in after bringing our miniature schnauzer puppy home and he was doing incredibly well. However, we felt that there were a few things we could do with a helping hand with. The puppy courses we'd looked at weren't the right option for us - he'd pretty much mastered all the basics already. That's when we got in touch with Nicola re her Puppy Nanny service. Nic would take our pup out once a week and work through specifics with him such as extended socialisation, recall, lead work etc. It's evident from the lovely dog he now is that this work has paid off. Nicola was completely hassle free and generous with her time, professional to deal with and perhaps most importantly our dog LOVED her. In fact we don't think we'll ever see him so excited again than the moment the door bell rang and Nicola was there! Completing our Puppy Nanny journey was hard. Our pup enjoyed it so much that we'd love to have been able to continue forever! Alas, it's the sign of a brilliant dog trainer when you no longer feel you need them. We hope there's plenty more pups awaiting their schooling and highly recommend the lovely Nic. We hope to return for one-off/ad hoc events in the near future.

Tammy has taken our rather nervous whippet Wilf out for walks and patiently let him get used to being away from us his humans. He does suffer with separation anxiety but now happily leaves the house with Tammy and has met up with other dogs in her group. We're very impressed with Tammy and the work she is doing with Wilf to build up his confidence around others. We highly recommend Clare Stan & Wilf

Tammy is absolutely amazing!! We initially had 1:1 training sessions where she provided so many useful tips and information for us to correct and work on. We saw improvements very quickly from the knowledge she has shared. My boy now goes on group walks weekly and loves his time with Tammy and the gang. Would highly recommend and would not go anywhere else…I don’t think my boy would want to either, he loves Tammy Time!!

I left my Hamster with Tammy while I went away . And aww she was great with him . I dint have to worry about anything he was in good hands. And she kept me updated on him . Tammy is absolutely lovely , so kind and welcoming . Wouldn’t hesitate to leave my pet with her again . Thank you xx

Tammy has been brilliant with our staffy Layla since she was a puppy. She benefits so much from her weekly walk with the other dogs and we always appreciate the advice that we get from Tammy.

Tammy looked after my pets whilst I was away. I have 6 cats, 5 tortoises and lizards. She was not fazed by my mini zoo. Everything was done professionally, she came for a visit prior to our holiday to check on all their needs. Would definitely recommend her services.

Tammy is absolutely amazing, with out crazy pooch Daisy. Right from the beginning nothing was to much trouble, and still isn’t she is always there ton offer advice also I know when Daisy is out with her she is safe and happy. Tammy has formed beautiful bond with Daisy the point we say Tammy’s name and she is at the window looking for her !! I wouldn’t use anyone else !!

We have used Dog Walking and Pet Sitting services, several times and have always found them reliable, and willing to go above and beyond when looking after our cat Kismet. I will use them again in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending Tammy to look after your pet.

I was satisfied upon inspection before leaving our rottweiler here for a week. Open space, dedicated dog-walkers, clean & tidy environment for them to sleep and eat. My dog behaviour after coming back home tells me she had a great time here. Will be taking her again, highly recommend.

I left my dog Bella and my kitten Nova here from Wednesday until Monday, and I was super anxious about leaving them, the lady I spoke with on both drop off and pick up said she was new there but has been absolutely amazing! The other staff i’ve spoken to on the phone have been honest and given me updates on the two occasions I called up, my dog absolutely adored her time there and she didn’t want to leave, and my kitten was anxious at first but as soon as she’d settled in due to the staff being lovely and caring with her, they’ve had their own little holiday whilst i’ve been on holiday! I can never thank you enough for looking after my babies and I am secure knowing you’ll have them again next month when I go away, and for any time in the future! Thank you so so much

Left our 2yrs Rotty for the 1st time here and she was well looked after. Juliana and Alex were very helpful when we enquired about the place and let us visit the kennel before leaving our baby girl for a week. I would definitely use their service again in future and a masssive thank you for looking after our baby.

We have used Standrick kennels many times over the last few months and they have been brilliant. I’m away currently on holidays and my dog had an issue she notices with his skin. My vet was unavailable and the kennels took my dog to their vets had a consultation called me arranged the medication and treatment and returned them to the kennels. Can’t thank them enough

Our Collie Cross Mabel stayed here a few days early September after a friend recommended them. From start to finish nothing too much trouble. Gill goes the extra mile with her animals. Collection service available which we used. Extra walks as well as the paddock plays Mabel enjoyed. Have already booked for 2022. Thanks Gill and Tim from us.

My little Yorkie has just spent 10 days at Standrick Kennels and much to my surprise she wasn’t sure if she wanted to come home with us or stay!! She’s an old lady who I’ve just recently adopted and I had misgivings about kennelling her, but I needn’t have worried. Ruby has been well cared for, eaten very well and I won’t be worrying when she’s there next time. Thank you all at Kendrick, Ruby’s as happy as ever!! 😃

Max and Billy went for the first time this weekend. They both seemed happy and relaxed when we picked them up. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Billy will see you again next month
