Dog Sitters in Indian River, MI

Went today for the first time and I don’t have a negative thing to say. Staff very friendly! They did a great job grooming my 2 babies! Plus my dogs did well with them, which is important due to the fact one of them has seizures. I am pleased and will definitely go back!

I will say when it took a lot of back and forth voicemails to officially set up the appointment I was a little skeptical of how it would go. They could really use a receptionist to work the phone more than once a day. Also when we walked in the place was in rough shape but I still needed my dog groomed and thought we'd give it a go anyways. They did an amazing job and was done within the hour. I usually have to wait to pick up my dog for several hours but they ensured me it was due to keeping the dog happy and without extra stress and anxiety of being in a foreign place inside a crate. Also, it was decently priced and they took a lot of our pup post winter. I tipped her well and will be back when he needs another trim!!!

My two dogs always look their best after a visit to Animal House. The two groomers that run the salon are amazing, personable, and honestly a joy to interact with. I always make sure to tip them for their hard and incredibly skilled work.

This was my first time taking my long haired fur baby and they did a wonderful job thinning her out and making her look great. I'm sure my baby will be so much cooler this summer due to the great job they did. They were so gentle with my baby girl and she was very comfortable around them and I was so grateful as she struggles with anxiety. I would definitely recommend them

I dropped my 10 yr old beagle off this morning and was told be back in 30 minutes. I came in and my poor pup was in a crate with a box fan blowing on him...burr!!! I expressed that I would rather pic up a wet dog than have him freezing with a box fan on him trapped in a crate. She just shrugged her shoulders and said his ears were wet. I paid cash with tip and asked if she had dremeled his nails because they looked long and jagged and was told yep. I said they were super long still, and she just walked away from me. My dog gets groomed often and is an easy dog to work with, I was just looking for someone closer. My poor pup is still shivering 30 minutes later. Never returning and it’s definitely worth driving 30 minutes to my usual lady in Brutus!

I took our collie to them. She was very matted. They called and asked if they could shave her as she was so bad. She had the Covid hair going. I said do what she had to do. When I picked her up she was very happy. When I got her home and looked her over they did an awesome job. She looks silly all shaved but it is very professional and even. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Girls.

My dog had an appointment at noon to be groomed prior to his vet visit and no one was there. No phone call no nothing. I called and got an answering machine that they were closed till December 7th. No one notified me not to bring my dog in for his appointment. I'm new to town and was looking for a good groomer for my pup. Animal house is not it... I had to give them a star but if I could there wouldn't be one. Sad because I want to use local businesses but now I'll go to Petosky.

Absolutely amazing and do such a wonderful job. Gizmo always looks great as well is comfortable with the staff.

Archie was groomed beautifully, and I'm very happy with how he looks, however, his nipple was nearly shaved off.

Awesome job!! My dog has had nail trim problems in the past and we did it without any doggie drama.

This place was Tremendous!!!! They took great care of our kittycat, Matchka who was fighting mammary gland cancer. The woman who was running things was an Angel and let us visit her every morning. Matchka hissed at her & everyone else but this amazing woman lived Matchka regardless and took extra special care of her. I would recommend this place to everyone. Matchka had a better view than we did at our resort because she had a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan out her gigantic window.

The ownership and staff is so friendly and the best part is my dogs love to be boarded here! My dogs literally pull me into the facility at drop off.

They take great care of your pet. They love our pup and he is always in great shape when we pick him up. They do very well with pets who need medication and a little extra TLC. He loves this place!

Staff here are wonderful with the animals and spend a bit of time with each pet that is staying at their resort. The layout of the facility is great, insofar as when a cat comes in for a stay, s/he doesn't have to be taken past any barking dogs to get to her/his boarding area and vice versa. My cat was a guest here for about a week and I had an opportunity to go in to visit with her. The cat room was quiet and peaceful and the spaces were large and luxurious.

Easy to spot off of the highway. Plenty of parking and the owners do a very good job of keep spots open and snow and ice plowing in the winter. There are some very lively birds when you enter, as well as a few different knick-knacks to buy. Reasonable prices on these, but their bathing prices cannot be beat. My dog is always clean and fresh and a ton of hair removed from him. They send him off in a handsome little bandana and we keep coming back! I highly recommend this place! Very friendly staff and their work is wonderful!

I go to Walmart every 2 weeks. With the remodeling it has been talking a little longer. Hopefully they will be done soon. Then we will get more used to it.

Good place to board when going out of town for a few days. They are comfortable boarding Birds as well as cats and dogs, so that was a big plus for me. Right across the parking lot is a veterinarian's office so if you had an emergency there you'd be in luck.

What I like about this place is that my dog loves it. When I leave him it makes me feel better that I know he's in a great spot with people who really enjoy him. It seems to be more than just a job with all the people here and it shows.

“There’s no place like home” …EXCEPT The Farmhouse ! Simply put, exceptional people who truly love our fur babies. The best !

We have used many different kennels over the years. There have been good, just okay and terrible ones. You always worry that your pet is going to be locked up in a cage for the duration of your absence and given the most basic amount of attention. These guys are different. They send you pictures of your dog playing with other dogs and give them snuggles and attention. They love what they do and you can tell. They have even helped us give our dog medication. Can't say enough good things about them.

Ed and Laura are the best! Just like sending the Kids to camp! We have 3 dogs and they all absolutely loved it here. A home away from home for sure. They had a blast with the other dogs. Thank you so very much.

Laura and Ed were so nice and friendly, and even tho Hannah really didn't really want to be there, I felt she was in good hands. They were able to let her out often, and she apparently "hung out" with their dogs. Much better there than at home alone when we have to be away. Thanks for giving me peace of mind!

These are the best people EVER! They not only care about the fur babies ,they care about the human's . I highly recommend this place no matter if it's for a few hours, Over night or weekend getaway they will take great car of your fur babies!

SUPER GREAT PUPPY SITTERS! We're visiting for a week, and our dog needs to get out of the hotel room. Great day care and over night. Wish they were in our area!

Our little guy was happy. He was in great hands, and I definitely recommend them. I will certainly use them again.

The owners took very good care of our lab, Lacey, when we went out of town for a few days.
