Was so lucky to have found Stacey! Just moved to the area and was worried about who was going to watch them. Stacey was great, stopped by to get to know the kitties, their schedule and personalities. Stacey also checked in each day with updates and photos. I felt secure knowing they were all taken care of. Looking forward to my next trip knowing I won’t have to worry about them.

Steven & Stacey are the best!! They take such good care of our pup. I love that I get daily pictures while I’m away so I can rest easy that Leo’s having a great time in my absence. I appreciate that there’s options to either board our pup at their home or they’ll make house visits - whatever works best for you. Our boy Vinz just had his first stay with Stacey and Steven. They were amazing! So patient with our boy since he is still a pup! They sent pictures while we were away and let us know how he was doing throughout his stay. This gave me great peace of mind since it was our first time leaving him. You can see how passionate they both are about animals and love knowing how happy Vinz was. We will definitely be using Pawsome pets again!!

So happy to find an amazing place for my dog close to home. Stacey and Steve are amazing caretakers for your animals. They took great care of my dog, I loved getting pictures, videos and updates daily. My dog came home so happy, clean and well cared for ! The property is well fenced and kept my dog in , she was able to run and explore all she wanted. I loved seeing pictures of her playing with the other dogs, and getting love from Steve and Stacey as well as getting warm by the fire 😎 Highly recommend. They are very affordable.

I am so grateful for Pawsome Pet Services. They have cared for my 3, and now 2 (RIP Miss Roxy), fur babies since 2018. One of my pooches is blind and the other is deaf. Our miniature poodle stayed at Pawsome Pet Services while we went on vacation. I received daily text updates and pictures which was great. Buddy got along great with the other dogs it was nice knowing that he was well cared for while we were away. We will definitely be using Pawsome Pet Services again and I am recommending them to our family and friends.

Pawsome Pets is awesome! Like many of us, my dogs are my babies and when they’re at Pawsome Pets, they’re treated like a member of their family! They have full run of the house and yard. I get daily pictures of them playing with other pups or snuggling in the owner’s lap etc. Pawsome Pets allows me to go on vacation without worrying about my babies at all. They think they’re on vacation!!

Pawsome Pet Services is the best! Stacey and Steven are wonderful people who truly love animals. They have welcomed our dog in their home multiple times and he is always excited to see them. It is wonderful to have peace of mind when we travel, knowing our animals are well cared for and loved!

My dog is an active husky and slightly timid/anxious without me around. After a recent escape adventure from a friends house, I was really nervous to board him anywhere but had to leave someone suddenly for a family emergency. I was so lucky that Gina had space, as Dogwoods Resort was the only place I was really willing to consider. Gina is so good with the dogs, and the property is absolutely perfect, with large fenced areas for them to run around. Being a helicopter mom, I went in for a meet and greet before our reservation and after seeing the place and meeting Gina, any concerns I may have had were put at ease knowing that my dog would be safe, have lots of room to play, and could be social with other dogs. He came home dirty, tired and happy and that is exactly what I wanted for my pup. I know it can be hard to get a booking, but I understand why - I wouldn’t want to leave my dog anywhere else. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I have been taking my dogs to Dog Woods for at least 10 years. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. The property is beautiful and I know Grizzly is being well cared for and having fun all day with the other dogs. When he comes home he sleeps for hours. It is not your typical daycare. Gina does a really fantastic job. Communication is excellent and it's easy to book a reservation. Grizzly loves Dog Woods. He will be back often.

Our fur babies love going to Auntie Gina's! They will vocally express their excitement and wag their tails once we turn onto the road leading to Dog Woods. We miss them while we are away, but know they are extremely well taken care of and most of all loved. Jeff and Dalaina

I have brought my Great Dane here many times, Gina takes amazing care of my dogs, and all of the dogs in her care. Easy booking, great communication, and lovely facility. If your dog needs a place to have fun while you’re on vacation this is the place to go.

Our pups have stayed with Dog Woods several times over a couple of years. We have a rescue that is overly cautious of new people, but is excited every time we pull up to the Resort. Moose, Pua, and their humans 100% recommend.

Dog Woods resort is truly a home away from home! Gina is awesome. Very welcoming, the dogs are all happy playing and running around inside this beautiful property. Great place for our two dogs to have a vacation while we were on vacation. Beautiful open space for the dogs to roam, play and run. Our dogs were well cared for, communication was superb, and the web service for scheduling, notifications, and overall ease of use for us was fabulous. My pup Gideon LOVES DWR! He gets SO excited every time we pull up to the property and shows Gina all kinds of love when he see's her. His humans love DWR too! Booking his visits is super easy and the communications around confirmations, payment, etc. is fantastic! DWR is PAWSOME!

Dogwoods is unlike the normal commercial dog boarding places. Your dog is not just another $ sign here. They take the time to get to know their clients and the clients parents. Dogwoods also makes accommodations for dogs with special needs and senior dogs who need a little more attention. You can rest, assured your dog will be in great hands and allow to enjoy your vacation knowing your dog go is having a blast and is being well cared for!

Absolutely amazing place for your pup to get some zoomies out! I took my dog here years ago & now with our new pup we needed a place to take her while we are either working or just wanted her to make & play with new fur friends. The staff is awesome & super friendly. The place the dogs with like minded pups as to keep the energy levels even. You can drop off for short periods of time or all day if needed which is nice. After Gizmo's first two days there she was so tired she fell asleep immediately in the car haha My little tasmanian devil was beat! She was so happy an excited. So happy she has some new fur friends to play with there. Definitely recommend

Our fur baby LOVES it here and it shows. The excitement she shows when pulling up is insane, they are great with the dogs.

We have a 11 month old berenese and she has been going to Linda, Beth and the staff at uppity ever since we got her. She loves to play with her friends and as sad as it sounds she never wants to leave 🤣 . My dog is well taken care of and loved and its a relief to not worry while I am at work.

My dog absolutely loves the day care. The first couple of visits she was iffy walking in but now she flies out of the car and is so excited to see her doggy and human friends. I don't worry about her at all while she's there.

There's an employee named Max that might look like an Alaskan Bushman somedays. But he's one of those people all dogs like they can tell who's good and who's evil. Plus he's my best friend so I know he's good. Anyway good place if you need dog baby sitter

Not recommend unless it’s your very last choice. For daycare: they use big area pens for bigger/smaller dogs which are good but the smell was HORRIBLE. Human can’t stand a second of that smell not to mention your pups. For boarding: the iron small cages they use it’s literally the same as PRISON. They claimed to put quiet dogs and louder dogs in two areas but the fact is the quiet areas are all crazily barking dogs (small&big). The iron cage is very small, and there’s no window, no air, no natural light, and also smell so bad. They are so short of staff. Two people in charge of ~10 daycare dogs, plus ~50 boarding dogs. If you can accept that, then you can choose their cheap price. If not, don’t go.

We boarded our dog here for 2 days/1 night while whitewater rafting in the area. We felt very misled. Our rescue pup is half pit bull and half other things. We had a long conversation with a worker guy here about her play style and told him her breed when we made the reservation. I also sent in the paperwork and her medical records in advance. We were assured that she would get to play with other dogs. We reiterated her play style when we dropped her off and were assured that all was good and the dogs' play was supervised. Then when we picked her up a different older woman told us that our dog didn't even get to play with other dogs at all b/c she was half partially pit bull. Apparently, she only got one-on-one time with humans but never got to play with anyone. If this is the place's policy, they should have told us that when we made the booking or dropped her off and continued to talk to them about play time. Not led us to believe she was getting play time or at least a chance to take a temperament test and see if she got along with the others in boarding. Yet another example of unfounded pit bull discrimination in California. It's fine if that's he facility's policy..that's their choice. But I just wished they would have told us and not made it a surprise at pick up. If we knew this policy, we would have looked for another boarding facility b/c our pup deserves at least a chance to play. A generous 3 stars only since it seems that she was fed properly and returned to us with no injuries and the price is good for the area .

Our pups had their first ever boarding experience at Uppity Pup. They stayed 5 days and while happy to see us upon our return they were also clearly well taken care of and happy with the staff.

I love this place. Jeremy and Alicia have always taken great care of my 3 babies, ever since I started flying to the east coast, regularly, for work. They always send me picture updates and let me know how they are doing. My dogs are always tired out after i pick them up, and they are always happy when i bring them back. So i know they are doing something right. And their prices are very reasonable, better than other kennels. Thanks guys for everything that you do. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My dog, Maia, loves staying at PDH! And if she loves it, I do too! Both the owners are great people and really love taking care of dogs, and it shows! I wish I had found them a couple years ago, but in my life everything happens as it should. Every picture I'm sent while Maia is there, I can tell Maia is happy and having a good time. And when I'm there to pick her up she's not dragging me to the car wanting to rush home, cuz she wasn't happy stayin in whatever curfuffle she dealt with....which has happened with other sitters or boardings I've tried. And for me, and my weird life, the fact that Alicia and Jeremy are flexible with keeping Maia more days than I planned for is huge for me! Maia chose them to take care of her, as long as the pool is full, the treats are a plenty and she's treated like family and is allowed on the furniture with the peoples... shes happy as a clam. And, I know better than to let a husky review anything, cuz they are highly vocal, and all, but for me with Maia its her body language when she's around people that speaks more to me ... and with both Jeremy and Alicia, she leans in to being petted and smiles. Says volumes to me about Maia's opinion of them, and to me, makes every dollar I spend for Maia to be with them is well worth it!!!!!!!

We have boarded our dogs and our cat many times with Alicia and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are very conscientious of our pets needs or special needs if required. We get pictures of our pets while in their care to be assured they are doing well.

We recently boarded our 13 year old dog for one week at PDH, and can't say enough about the great care provided. Our pet came home happy and playful.

Great home for your puppies when you're away on vacation! I love Placerville Dog House. We use them often. They're a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. They are always professional and easy to work with. And their pricing is much more competitive than anywhere else in the area. Happy Customer. Highly recommend!

Amazing! We took our 6 month old German Shepherd Maui here today for doggy daycare (aka "playcare" as Alicia perfectly describes it) so he could socialize with other pups and burn some energy. Judging by how he is zonked right now and the look on his face when we picked him up, he had the best time. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and Alicia and Jeremy gave us a quick tour of the place. The backyard play area is incredible and has multiple obstacles, tunnels and room for pups to explore. You can tell a lot of thought and work was put into the space. Alicia and Jeremy were extremely kind and knowledgeable, and we felt 100% safe leaving our boy there for the day. They brought out a few different pups to introduce to Maui to see how he would do, and all went great. It ended up raining while he was there, and of course he got muddy playing with all of his new friends. These guys are so awesome that they gave him a nice rinse and dry down before we left so he'd be good to go for the car ride home. All in all this was an amazing experience and we will be back for any and all of our boarding/play date needs! PS: Alicia also takes great photos!

We are so glad we found Alicia's Leash Animal Services. Not only are they conveniently located to suit our needs but the care they provided our dog was top notch and much better than a typical kennel situation. We will definitely be using them for our future boarding needs. Angie gives them a 5 star rating!

Great place! We just moved to the area and needed a place to board our dog overnight. Alicia's Leash was wonderful and took our dog last minute. I was a little nervous dropping our dog off because she is quite shy but she did great and I knew she was in good hands. They took excellent care of her and she seemed to have a lot of fun. They have a big shaded area for the dogs to play in complete with tires, grass, tunnels, etc. and all the dogs sleep indoors at night. We will definitely be back!

They have a beautiful spot in the mountain. Not commercial at all. Just a home converted to a dog care facility. The play area is contained well and has tunnels and igloos buried around for the dogs. Jeremy and Alicia are really nice. Highly recommended!

It was my first time taking my dog boarding and we went to Alicia’s Leash. Alicia is super nice and great with animals! She made me feel so comfortable to keep my dog there overnight and she also sends you pictures and videos of your dogs playing with the other dogs! I would 100% recommend Alicia’s leash to anyone that wants to be able to relax on a vacation or business trip and know that your dog is in great hands! Also when I picked up my dog she even made a magnet with our dogs picture! I can’t wait to take my dog back for day care so she can play with all her friends!

If my pup is happy, then I am happy. What a great find! Kirsten and Mike took such wonderful care of my 10 year old pup (Monkey). This was the first time Monkey stayed at the Wolf Road Pet Retreat and will not be the last. Kirsten was so easy to work with when scheduling Monkey's stay. My vacation plans were up in the air so I ended up changing around dates - but Kirsten was so accommodating. The dogs are allowed to hang on the couch, sleep in their bed (if pups wanted to) and run around the house as if it was theirs. Kirsten and Mike treat all visiting dogs as if they are their own. Extremely happy with Wolf Road Pet Retreat and highly recommend.

Highly recommend! I am a petsitter and really needed a petsitter while I had to take a trip out of the country and this was a perfect fit. My 2 small dogs had so much fun with the other dogs in their care! The dogs are in the home with them and they have access to an outdoor patio area and play yard. No cages or kennels. Kristen was amazing, she sent me photos and videos of my pups every day. It was hard to go out of town because I would miss them so much them, but I felt very good about their care and knew they were safe, getting exercise and being loved on. Great pet sitter. They welcome the animals into their home like they’re their own. They also pay keen attention to the interactions of the animals with one another making sure all are doing well and no Alpha dominates the others. We were in town for a couple days, and needed care for our dog Kaia on two separate occasions. Kirsten was super communicative, easygoing, and offered wonderful care for our dog. Each day Kaia came back very happy :), and we had total peace of mind knowing she was in good hands.

We have been using Sophia regularly this summer to take care of our large dog Nash when we travel and we are so happy to have found her! We have been using Auburn Kennels for at least ten years. The animals love it and the care is wonderful.

My dog loves to go to auburn kennels. When I pick her up she always heads back to the door to go back in. She doesn’t want to leave. That makes me feel so good knowing she loves it. The staff is friendly, professional and they love dogs and cats. The kennel is in a beautiful area of auburn, hilly with lots of trees. I wouldn’t leave my pets anywhere else. I would chsnge my plans so my dog could stay there.

We have been boarding our 2 pointers at Auburn Kennels for 5-7 days at a time over the last several years and have never had a bad experience. The owners are incredibly responsible and easy to get ahold of. Our latest need involved a family emergency on Christmas day. They were willing to arrange a special drop off and accommodated our dogs with only a same day notice in an effort to help us out. So thankful for a place like this that we can rely on without worry.

We have been boarding our dog Boomer (my 4th child) with Auburn Kennels since he was about 8 months old and I can honestly say that when he is boarded there, with the amazing, caring staff and other dogs I do not worry about his welfare for one moment! The space is large, they have pools in warmer weather for the dogs to play in, the runs and kennel area are clean and big enough for our 100 lb pup to romp and sleep comfortably. Boomer is excited to go and visit everyone and he is excited to come home and sleep for a day or so after his play date! We highly recommend Auburn Kennels, amazing people and all of the dogs that Boomer plays with are wonderful with him.

I know my dog is treated well and has plenty of room to play and a space to get away from others when needed.. The location is beautifully tucked into the Auburn hills. Heated kennels in the Winter, and swamp cooled int he Summer.

Rose has been our go-to pet sitter for three years now. We have two large male house cats. Rose provides peace of mind while we are gone, in part because she posts us by text early each morning with a short report on that morning's visit and how the cats are. She also makes written notes on each visit and leaves them for us. She is careful and conscientious and very easy to work with. We have never had a problem with her service and recommend Always Available whole- heartedly.

Rose watched my two boxers for me. It was somewhat nerve wracking having a non family member watch my girls. But Rose is very professional and thorough. During the meet and greet my dogs seemed to settle fairly well with her presence too. She texts a picture and update every day. Would definitely use her again!

I recently used always available pet sitting for a long weekend away from my pet. Rose was fantastic. She was very thorough on what services I should expect & walked me through everything. I received photos of my kitty every day that I was gone & even came home to a very cute thank you card and notes from each day she visited with kitty. Excellent service. I recently had Rose watch my eight dogs (two large dogs and six small dogs) and my two cats. I was gone overnight and my pets are not used to this. However I am pleased to say that my pets have taken kindly to Rose and they were well taken care of when I was gone. Rose sent text pictures with each of her visits. Unfortunately she had to clean up after one of my dogs but the place was immaculate when I got home. I highly recommend rose for pet sitting and I plan on using her in the future.

We highly recommend Rose, Always Available Pet Sitting. Right from the beginning Rose was organized and business-like, taking note of the names of each pet, the amount of food, times of day to be fed, locations for food, treats, etc. Rose cared for our 4 dogs and cat for 9 days while we went on vacation. She did not hesitate to come an extra day when our flight was canceled last minute. Rose did a lot more than just feed our fur babies. She spent time playing with them as well as watching their behavior to make sure they got along and played together safely. (We have 3 large dogs and a small beagle.) She even called us to make sure we were comfortable with what she saw. She left notes from each day and also texted us notes and photos. It’s clear Rose loves animals and has experience with animal behavior. We felt so much more at ease on our vacation knowing Rose was watching our pets. We will be using Rose’s services again.

We hired Kelley to take care of our two kittens, Blueberry and Hazelnut, while we went on vacation. It was our first time leaving them and we were nervous. Nervous for no reason as it turns out. Kelley was awesome! She showed up twice a day as agreed, made sure the food and water was replenished, cleaned the litter box, and also gave them love and play time! It was obvious that she knew how to handle them. We received updates daily as well as professional looking photos. Our kittens were happy but not as much as we were. Thank you Kelley! We will be calling again next time we go anywhere.

Kelley took care of my pets, Pip (dog) and Popeye (Amazon parrot) for 12 days, staying overnight at my home. Pip loves Kelley, even sleeping with her during my absence. Popeye is super attached to me, but Kelley was able to maneuver around him and even consulted her vet because he was so territorial. That gave me peace of mind knowing she would seek professional help if anything happened to my pets. Kelley even went as far as removing my hanging plants in the front of my home during the sweltering days so they would not be damaged. Kelley also kept a watchful eye on my fruit trees and placed watering bottles in them to help keep them moistened. Kelley also picked up my mail and packages, leaving them on my dining room table. Kelley kept my home in great condition while I was gone, even washing all the linens on the bed in which she slept...and remaking the bed!! I had total peace of mind while I was on vacation, knowing that everything and my pets were in great hands! I already plan to use Kelley in the future! I highly recommend Kelley of Bark to Barn! I had read many good things about her from various sources before hiring her. She met all my expectations and more! And my pets were happy to remain home!

What a fantastic experience! My cats loved the way Kelley paid attention to them. She did so many small, but special things, like giving them treats, sweeping the floor around the litter boxes. She really stood out. Don't hesitate getting her to take care of your pets.

I was finally able to take a real vacation after about 4 years because of Kelley and her Bark to Barn Pet and Farm Sitting services. I am not comfortable with just leaving my multitude of animals, which includes domestic and livestock with just anyone, but after meeting with Kelley and giving her the rundown on what needed to be done at my property, I knew immediately that she would be the one I could trust. Kelley did a fantastic job while I was away. She kept me updated with short, to the point messages and would add a photo here and there as well. She also had to care one-on-one for one of my goats who was very old at the time and needed medication every day. He actually went down one day and she followed my instructions on how to get him righted which was successful, and she did all of this during a week of pelting rain. So, I highly recommend Kelley for her Bark to Barn Pet and Farm Sitting services because while you are away you will be able to relax and know your pet crew are all in good hands. Kelley has been is extremely pleasant to work with. During the last couple of times she’s been able to fit us in during last minute requests. While she had other duties regarding other animals, she never simply said no, she always found a way to help us as best she she could. Kelley has taken care of our Golden Retriever many times when we have taken short trips. She is very professional and her love of animals is evident in how well she takes care of them. She offers many services and our dog Ginger really enjoys her outdoor mountain adventure trips to the snow with Kelley. If you are looking for dog, cat, horse, or even having your Llama taken care of, she should be your first choice!

I never thought we would find someone like Kelley. Because of this we travelled less and less over the past few years with so many beloved critters who depend on us and are used to being spoiled (as it should be). Our two Labradoodles just had a week long extended stay with “Auntie Kelley” and they’re still raving about their week! Daily walks, play, and attention! Once we met Kelley and worked out the details, we didn’t look back! Reliable, friendly, hard working farm sitter that I highly recommend to anyone looking for peace of mind while away from your critters. My alpacas and chickens were well cared for and our pup got the love and attention he needed. Finding someone you can trust will have your animals best interest in mind is hard, but kelly was very organized kept me updated and I had full confidence all of my animals were well looked after.

They are so fast and efficient with getting my dogs nails trimmed I love bringing my dogs here. Thanks so much for your hard work, my dogs are not easy! And they’re never made them bleed. The vet has made my girl dog bleed twice.

I’ve brought my golden retriever dog, Rosie, here many many times for boarding and grooming. They do a fantastic job and of bathing and “deshedding” her. I absolutely love and trust this business. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and, seriously, can’t do enough for you.. I’ve popped in, unexpectedly, in the area where they play at different times of the day and all Is great! My dog always seems happy at drop off and pick up! .

Absolutely horrible I made sure I could stay with my pup because of his anxiety and it was disturbing the place was a mess dog hair and dog poop everywhere. They don’t clean there brushes or nail filer all the dogs looked terrified. Never again! Please don’t take your sweet baby’s here!

Kelly did a great job grooming Queen! After moving here awhile ago, we had not been able to keep up with her hair growth and she had quite a few mats. Kelly handled it and gave us a fresh start to ensure it doesn't happen again! Thanks Kelly!

Always such a blessing to have affordable and available daycare. No appointments needed for daycare, and they will even file nails after our active girl has run around a bit. She gets out so much energy and loves playing with all the friends at the pet club!

A great place for doggie day play and boarding. I feel like all staff members work hard to keep the dogs safe. They are quick to clean up accidents and give time out when dogs needs it.

Our pups love their hotel experience. We used to try to task family with watching our dogs when we left town, which was always a hassle and somehow always ended up with us coming home to a house full of "accidents", which was always great to clean up after a long trip. We started bringing our dogs to the pet club. What a terrific experience all around. The staff is incredibly friendly and our dogs seem to love them. We even get them groomed here and they do an outstanding job every time! Charlie and Lulu love you guys, keep up the great work!

There isn't enough praise I can give to this group; everyone from the daycare facilitators, groomers, and adoption services is beyond top-notch when it comes to care and respect for the animals in their charge. I personally have adopted one of the best dogs I've ever owned from them, and I bring both of my dogs in to play at the daycare regularly. They love it! Always a friendly greeting from all the staff, and it speaks volunes that my dogs seem to love them even more than I do. If you're on the fence whether or not to use their services, I urge you to do so! Amazing group, thank you so much for all you do!

They sounded very nice. Maybe if they weren't overwhelmed by all the evacuees' animals, they would be better. I was told on the phone how they loved my dog and she was doing so good. They would send me pictures. A week later...still no pictures even after I called twice. I was also told they would groom her before I picked her up. I called the evening before around 5:30. Picked her up the next day about 10:30 and her fur was sticky and stiff on her paws and her neck. She was very dirty and her fur was not shiny as it always is. She was not groomed at all. It was free so I should not complain, but I did not take my dog there.. she was transferred there by the Animsl Shelter. We were going leave a donation, however when we saw the condition she was in, we decided against it.
