Hannah at Tundra Tails in Sterling is the best. She took care of our couch potato like her own. We even got photo updates. Facility is top notch and easy to access when headed in or out of town. I highly recommend.

Tundra Tails is the best! Hannah is super friendly and easy to work with. Our diabetic dog was in good hands and I wouldn't think twice about booking her again! The place was very clean and organized.

I bring my two large Chihuahua mixes here very frequently, And I absolutely will continue to keep bringing them back!!! Hanah is an absolute superwoman! I know my dogs are so safe, I know they’re taking care of, I know they are warm and they aren’t neglected, etc. They are both also very special needs in terms of medication and specific timing, and she is so good about administering medication, including their insulin shots. She is communicative about pick up and drop off time, and above all, I appreciate her so much for the fact that she is so flexible and understanding. She has the patience of a saint. I know my dogs can be a lot, but she is so accommodating and welcoming, I never feel like they are too much of a burden. She also is really good about sending pictures and updates, she’ll ask questions if she needs to know immediately. It’s just wonderful. I really do love the flexibility aspect though because if I have a last-minute trip to Anchorage, she’s very Accommodating.

Hanah is such a lovely person and wonderful with our dog! She took the time and had the patience to win over our anxious dog and now we feel comfortable knowing our dog is in good hands when we are away. Hanah is professional, reliable and caring. She sends us photo(s) of our pup while we're away and she has even watered my plants for me when she is making home visits. Our 2 year old Goldendoodle stayed at Tundra Trails for 4 days. He loved it and had a great time! The Burrell family lovingly cared for him, sent us updates, and made sure he had the best time. Brought our two pups here while we took a boat tour in Kachemak Bay. Wonderful place to leave your fur babies. Kristen was so responsive when we were booking and dropping off the dogs! Bailey and Bonnie immediately took to Ben (Kristen’s partner)! We got updates during the day with pictures and Kristen spent time chatting with us at the end of the day about our pups’ visit. Highly recommend them and would use them again for sure!

Our dog Enzo was living the good life at The Good Life! We dropped him off for an overnight (24 hr) stay while we took a tour out of Homer. Kristen was very responsive by text both before the array and during. She shared pictures of him during the day. When we picked him up he was happy and healthy. We added the wash he was wet when we got him but we showed up a bit early. I would recommend this place to locals and visitors to the area. Thanks again! 🐶💕

Love this place! Very communicative and able to accommodate our more anxious/reactive girl. The first place we've taken our pups in Alaska where we've picked them up without even the smallest sign of stress. Just good and muddy, happy, tired dogs!

I have had good and bad experiences with boarders. So moving back here I had to start looking to get one set up. So we took our Emma to The Good Life and when I picked her up she was so happy. She had a blast and is all tuckered out now. Will be coming back to visit.

Wow what an amazing place for animals to be spoiled with love! First and foremost, the safety factor of the fenced yards really impresses me. In Alaska, this is just a given. It’s SO important for your peace of mind. Kristen nailed it! You can tell that Kristen and her team really care for all of these beautiful fur babies as if they are their own. Homer is lucky to have such a gem. 10/10!

We needed a place for Loki and Crow to stay on very short notice. Kristen took them in right away for what was supposed to be a day and turned into three. She gave us updates and photos and they had a great bath. I felt they were well taken care of and was glad they had a chance to play with other doggies.

My dogs loved it here. They gained confidence and played hard. Staff was friendly and professional. Great place to bring your dogs.

Kacey and her team take really good care of me and my pack. There are 3 of us. The facility is lovely and very clean, we get great attention, and all the drop off and pick up stuff accommodates my mom's travel and work schedule. No place like home....but I would not stay anywhere else!

New to town and had a family function we had to attend. Made an appointment to take our dog Max a Beagle mix to be boarded for a few days. It was easy to find and The kennels were clean, dogs had room to play and when we picked him up he was clean and his bedding was clean. He was happy and healthy. Animals were all happy and got along. Kacey was a life saver with my rescue. When I first got him a year ago he'd been in the pound for 7 months, didn't like any other animals, had no recal and forget walking him on a leash. Now we enjoy dog parks, hiking together, playing on the beach, and he even gets to come to work with me somedays. All thanks to Kacey and her team at wounded bear farm.

I wouldn't take our dog anywhere else! Our dog is one of the family, so when we leave town there isn't a better place for her to go. We have been taking our dog there for over 8 years now, sometimes just for a extended weekend trip, or for longer 2 week vacations. Our black lab Sadie absolutely loves going there and it is such a relief knowing that while we are gone that she is extremely well kept for, happy, gets exercise, has fun, and is safe. The cleanest, best kept dog kennel I've ever been to. Her kennel is huge where Sadie sleeps, so she isn't packed in there or cramped, and it is so nice that Sadie can be outside for a long time to run, play, socialize and not be kept inside all day. Sadie has so much fun when she is at the kennel. I don't think that many dogs are actually excited to leave their owner, but Sadie is when we get there. Kasey is a very nice and caring lady who takes such good care of all the dogs and truly cares for each one of them at her kennel. I can't say enough about Kasey, her care, and her kennel. Highly recommend and if anyone is looking for a clean, happy and safe place for your dog to stay while you are gone, this is the right kennel and give Kasey a call.

This kennel is top notch. If you are looking for a place that is caring, professional, clean, and friendly, this is the place for your 4 legged friend! The kennels are good size and comfortable. They learn the personality of your dog and let them play together in the big closed in yards. No fights here. They have indoor and outdoor kennels. The dogs are happy, healthy, energetic, and tired at the end of the day from all the interaction they receive. I have used Cooper's since she opened up over 30 years ago. I've used them for long term as well as short term boarding. When my dog needed specialized care, there was no hesitation. In my opinion, there is no better place to care for my third "child."

I love doing fishing charters on the Kasilof or Kenai rivers, but I hate having to leave my dogs at home for overnight camping trips just because I have a charter booked. Coopers Wounded Bear Farm & Kennel is a great solution! I can drop the dogs off (with food and medications) and pick them up whenever we get back on land. I've dropped the dogs off in the middle of the night so I could be on the river at 3 AM, and picked them up 14 hours later. The owner gave me a lot of dog training trips for my puppy who was out of control, and every time our dogs stayed here, they came home exhausted from playing with their dog friends. Even with a last minute booking, I had no problem getting my dogs set up. It is so convenient, and I'm really glad this place is here. I love that I can take my dogs camping and know that they are safe while I'm fishing.

The best kennel I have ever used! This is the only kennel my dogs did not come home sick or with fleas! Every other kennel I have taken them to, it was a battle getting them through the door - not here - no problem. Kacey is also wonderful with disciplining the dogs if needed! We have been taking our two dogs to Kacey for years now, and recently we did an extended vacation and were worried how they would be without us for so long. The dogs were happy as clams and were well cared for. We have checked into it and her rates are also competitive to other kennels. We will use Wounded Bear as long as we have dogs!

If you need an awesome dog walker, I highly recommend Paul. I adopted a dog with very bad manners, high energy and wasn’t even potty trained at 8 months. After working on some basics for a few months I started looked for help with walking and leash training. Roxie is a lab mix with high energy and because of her lack of training as a puppy she was very difficult to walk. She pulled, lunges, barks and in general was just crazy in her excitement. Paul came and did a meet and greet with Roxie and took on the job of helping me walk her twice a week. He is helping give her the exercise she needs but has also been helping with leash training and not pulling. After just two months I notice such a difference in her leash manners and it’s much more enjoyable to walk her. He also sends updates and pictures which I love seeing after her walks.

My pup Bobby loves exploring and the excersise he gets on his walks when I'm away at work on the slope! Pictures of his trail adventures I receive while I am gone really make my day! Thanks Happy Hearts 🧡 …

Paul and Cheryl are awesome! They are very accommodating to my crazy military work schedule and make sure to keep me informed on everything that goes on with my dog Ellie while she's in their care. Ellie loves her daily walks with Happy Hearts. Reliable, great people.

Paul took great care of our cat while we were traveling ! Also really appreciated the daily updates and pictures. It’s hard moving to a new place but we are happy to have found their services and will be using them in the future :)

If you want to rest easy while your pet is taken care of at your home, this is your pet service. Paul took care of my rabbit and although JUST a rabbit, he spent time with her, let her hop around, gave her loving pets and sent videos and pics at each visit that let me see how well she was doing. Absolute piece of mind while on was on vacation. Highly highly recommend.

I am so thankful for Happy Hearts Pet Care (Paul & Cheryl)! They are professional and they love the work the do. They treat your animal/pet as their own. Paul comes and walks our boy, Zeke, when we are not able. What a blessing to come home to a happy and tired husky! I get pictures of the dog walk which delights me to no end. Happy Hearts has been the best dog boarding/day care for our puppy. Period. I cannot say how thankful we are for their kindness and care. Our puppy had some health issues shortly after we dropped off our dog and having Cheryl with her vet experience helped us and we were able to take our dog to the vet and drop her back off. Paul stayed up with us and made sure our dog was doing ok. Not only did they send us daily updates with videos and pictures making sure our pup was playing and doing well, but they treated us like family and really took care of our dog. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. If you are thinking about boarding your pet, there is no better place.

A medical emergency and Paul saved the day! Traveling in an RV can be a challenge sometimes when you need help taking care of a pet. Paul was quick to respond, reliable, kept me informed and my dog was so much happier sleeping in her own bed rather than at a kennel. Paul and Cheryl with Happy Hearts Pet Care are everything I was looking for in a doggy daycare. My work days can be 13+ hours and they put my mind at ease knowing my pup is taken care of. I love the pictures and videos I get throughout the day of the pups playing! My pup looks forward to daycare and is excited every time we pull into the driveway. I’m lucky to have found such wonderful people to care for my pup the same way I do!

Paul is so helpful with my elderly dog. He needs to be picked up while going downstairs and Paul is very gentle with him. He takes a lot of of time with my dog and I always know he’s well taken care of when Paul comes over! The pictures are nice too during each visit!

My husband and I are military and leave our dog here when we travel out of state for 2 weeks for vacation. I hate leaving our dog in boarding but he LOVES it. Our dog cries every time he leaves haha! They send us updates through text as well as pictures which keeps my mind at ease. AND they even take the most adorable holiday photos. And our dog always smells so good when we pick him up and always has a cute bandana on every time! Can’t say enough good things about this place we travel an hour just to bring our dog here!

1324 Spring Dr right off Parks Hiway close to mile 49.The Resort has been there for 8yrs.Nice place! Big yard all fenced for yourfur babies to stretch their legs and dig in the dirt. I looked at some pictures Of the inside,super clean,looks like they get private rooms, with twin bed's all made up and waiting for the next clients. . It's been rated a 4.9 ⭐ I'd take my pet there,I Wonder if they take Bearded dragon

Absolutely love this place. My husband and I were hesitant to board our dogs anywhere because our dogs were used to a pet sitter at our house. The people here are fantastic, they took excellent care of our dogs, and our dogs seemed to be very happy during their stay. We have now used them twice and our dogs are scheduled for another stay in the coming months. We highly recommend them and wont take our dogs anywhere else.

Our 2 dogs spent almost a week at Lakeside. They came home happy and healthy. I loved the pictures we received while our dogs were there. The communication and scheduling we super easy and all the staff was very nice. Would definitely send my dogs there again if necessary

I've been using Lakeside for years & my dog loves this place! She wags her tail as she eagerly runs to the gate to go in. She stayed 1 1/2 months this time & I could see her smiling in the photos they sent throughout the weeks. I was stress-free knowing that she was happy & in good hands.

Today will be my pups first day at Lakeside Pet Retreat. So far I'm scoring them five stars for their enthusiasm, attention to detail, and absolutely beautiful facility. I'm excited to see what my pup thinks!

We used Lakeside Pet Retreat for the first time this past weekend. We have an elderly dog who had never spent nights away at a boarding facility. We are so thankful we found this place, it was on the way for us, as we were heading from the Valley to Denali National Park. When I walked in, I felt comforted because the facility smelled wonderful, was incredibly welcoming and squeaky-clean. Upon check-in, we were shown a “mock“ room similar to where our girl would be spending two nights. Before her stay began, I had a few questions which were answered compassionately and patiently. They even provided us a photo of her stay while we were away. When we picked her up, she was wearing the most adorable popsicle bandana. As she has gotten older, we have changed up her food routine and make her ground beef which is mixed in with her regular food. We provided the beef and her regular food, and Lakeside ensured she received both during feeding times. Our dog also does not get along well with others. We were given the option of allowing her to stay by herself, with her own private patio to do her business. Quite frankly, I was amazed at the price we paid, more than reasonable. Thank you so much Lakeside Pet Retreat, we are pleased to have found you and thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby.

This was my baby's first time being boarded and away from me, for 8 days total. I had so much anxiety and searched high and low. I gambled on Lakeside Pet Retreat and was rewarded with my decision. The staff upon arrival was diligent with their questions about Brooklyn (my dog) and my concerns over her being old (14) and wanting to be alone. She had her own room with a private patio to go potty in and they even let her have the yard to herself to play. They sent multiple pics every day which was so appreciated and made me feel like my girl was safe and in a healthy environment. 10/10 approve and recommend

We needed a flexible boarding place for when my son was born. Its hard to find somewhere that will work with an unknown date. Alaska TLC kennels were easy to communicate with. Fast to answer questions and really helped ease the stress. They sent pictures and used my homemade frozen dog food without complaint. Our doggo came back calm and happy which tells me he had a lot of good interactions. I highly recommend it with no complaints I can think of.

I would Absolutely recommend boarding your furry friends here. My husband and I don't board often and when we do we prefer to have our dogs spoiled. I felt that TLC took the time to listen to our dogs needs before they got there. And since it was the dogs first time let them explore the facility while I was still there. Our dogs seemed tired and happy when we picked them up.

Our puppy, Friendly, had a two and a half week stay with TLC. She loved her stay! She was able to play with other dogs. She always went from being timid around strangers to being excited. Friendly came how with an actual smile on her face. Her first few days she was scared but after talking on the phone with the staff they informed me that they would sit with her and hand feed her during meal time until she was comfortable. Went above and beyond for our pup’s first boarding experience!

I used both the day care service and the overnight kennel service and it was a wonderful experience. I had never kenneled my boy Stark before so we used the daycare to acclimate him to the facility before his stay, and he loved it. They did a great job of catering to his not always friendly personality toward other dogs and found a way for him to get to play and socialize in a safe manner for everyone! Not only did they work around his occasional dog aggression they did what they could to make him comfortable during his week long stay, moving him around to try and calm his anxiety. I will definitely be using Alaska TLC Kennels again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a kennel or daycare service.

Alaska TLC Kennels Team took excellent care of my 4 Belgian Malinois working dogs all 4 of my dogs were there for 32 days and they were in excellent shape when I picked them up I wouldn’t ever board my dogs anywhere else hands down!!!

My dog recently spent just over a week at Alaska TLC Kennels and we could not be happier with the care she recieved. It was obvious that she was happy and well cared for while we were away, and we plan to use this kennel again when needed.
