Lisa was an excellent pet sitter for our dogs Willa and Kato. She was attentive to their needs, administered medications, dealt with Kato’s unexpected ear problem and made sure they both were able to follow their daily routines and get plenty of exercise. It was quite obvious when we returned home that the three had bonded with each other and we know they will enjoy future sits already scheduled with Lisa. She was great about sending photos and updates while we were traveling, and it was a joy to come home to an immaculate house and thriving houseplants! Angela Gandolfo and Erica Piazza came to stay at our house while we were away on vacation for two weeks. Our two dogs are a handful, but these two lovely women took such good care of them. They spoiled them even more than we do, which is perfect. We got photos every day, and when we came home our house was tidy and there were clean sheets on the bed. I couldn't have asked for better house and pet sitters than these two women. They communicated well with us, and if they had questions, they asked. It was a pleasure to work with both Angela and Erica. We had to cut our vacation short because of a death in the family. It was really stressful, but once again, Angela and Erica were flexible and understanding. It made a difficult time easier, knowing that things at home were being managed so well. Charlie was again an outstanding sitter for us whilst we were away at a wedding. This is the second time having Charlie and although we have not met face to face we completely trust her with our home and of course our cat, Nala. Charlie left the house spotless which is amazing to come home to after a long day of travelling. Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!

Veronica House sat for us for a month. She cared for our two Dobermans and our cat. Veronica is so enthusiastic about animals. They immediately pick up on her joy and love for them. When some bold alligators made our dogs’ normal exercise routine unsafe, she was faced with the challenging situation of keeping two Dobermans with very different temperaments exercised and entertained in the height of Florida summer with its bugs, heat, and humidity. She met this challenge by taking the dogs for individual outings. She drove our young social dog to the dog park, finding the times when he would most likely have other large playmates and drove our socially anxious dog to the quiet areas of town for walks. This took a lot more time than our normal routine, but it kept our dogs safe and happy. A lasting benefit for us is that our younger dog, once a terror in the car, now rides much more calmly and our anxious dog, once fearful of what the car ride would bring, now happily hops in. Our cat was so content and well-groomed upon my return, it was obvious that she had been getting lots of daily attention, too. Veronica communicated with us on all the happenings with our pets and property every day. I came home to happy and healthy pets and a well cared for home. We feel so fortunate to have had Veronica as a house sitter and look forward to her sitting for us again.

They were the best kennel that we ever used. If we get another dog I will definitely take them here. They did a wonderful job with our elderly Great Dane. It was super clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they were very reasonably priced. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I also tell everyone I know to use them. Really just a great kennel!

We boarded our dog Max at the Chateau Pet Resort and could not have been happier. Jen and Joe are wonderful people and treated our dog like their own. The drop off was easy and convenient, our dog was treated with love and affection from the moment he arrived. Jen sent us pictures and updates throughout the week making us very happy and relaxed knowing our dog was being treated so well. Not only did Max get a bath while there he did some obedience training too. We will definitely be using the Chateau again in the future, we highly recommend Jen and Joe!!!
We trust the Scarfones 110% with our black lab, Bella. Just returned from a 10-day vacation and really appreciated all of the active exercise and TLC she received while we were away. We also appreciated a mid-week update and the pet taxi service; the latter was so helpful after a 9 hour drive ourselves! Even though we live about an hour away, right outside downtown Pittsburgh, this trust factor means we will aren't interested in going anywhere else nearby.
First time bringing our dogs, 2, and the came back in one peace,lol. Colin and family were very accommodating and helpful. I liked the use of the online deposit and invoicing and final payment. Dogs taken care of very well. Got to spend a lot of time outside which is nice compared to other kennels. Very happy to have them back and if we go out again will bring them back here.
As a business owner myself, I contemplated leaving a negative review because I know how it can affect a business. I wouldn't want someone to leave a negative comment about my salon without good reason. My goal is not to cause "The Chateau" to lose, but hopefully to make improvements to better serve their "clients". My dog has never been boarded before, so I tried to choose a place that would be patient with her through this process. I also let them know, she had not been socialized very much and has some anxiety. After reviewing their website and speaking with Collin, I felt comfortable leaving her there. On June 24th I dropped her off at 5:30 I took her blanket (as the website states) bag of food, self dispensing water bowl, food bowl, a brand new $60.00 KONG leash and collar set, a walking harness, her "baby" and a squeaky toy. I was greeted at the gate by Collin, he assured me she would be fine and that within 30 seconds she would "forget". On July 2nd I called to schedule a pick up time and to check on Azlynn. Collin again reassured me that she was doing wonderfully, that she was getting 3 to 4 miles of exercise per day and there were no issues. On July 5th at 5:45 pm I arrived to pick her up. When Azlynn was brought out she was so excited to see us! She immediately ran and jumped in my car. I continued to stand outside of my car to pay for the services that had been provided and receive all of her belongings that were strewn all over the place. Everything was covered with dirt and feces!! I was told that I was not allowed to have her ORIGINAL shot records returned which I thought was strange. When I got in my car I noticed a horrible smell!! I thought Azlynn had stepped in feces and urine. Once we got home I did a closer inspection and found that She was covered with feces and urine. The feces had been matted into her fur for what looked like days! My dog also looked extremely thin and had an eye infection, I was mortified! Upon closer inspection of her belongings, (brand new collar and leash specifically) they were covered with dirt and feces (pics available). I immediately called Collin and expressed my concerns about her weight, shot records (which he brought to my house later that evening) being covered with urine and feces and why he hadn't expressed to me during our phone call that he was having issues with her, he claimed she was snapping at everyone. I told him he could have called me or let me know during that phone call that she was a problem and I could have sent a family member for her. But instead, they left my dog in that cage without proper care for almost 2 weeks because they were afraid of her. They tried to tell me she had an accident right before I picked her up. There's no way! It breaks my heart to think she was left in a place that didn't care for her, she's part of my family and I'm leaving this review so it doesn't happen to anyone else's pet. I will NEVER use the Chateau Pet "resort" again nor will I refer them to any of my friends, family or clients.
Had my dog there for 10 days. It was $30 a day. They said that they could run around and that they would send me a picture of how he’s doing. I called and asked for a picture they never sent me a picture. When I was there never seen any dogs running around. When my son-in-law pick the dog up for me he smell like urine an old stool. You could see Lumps of store on his for when he was picked up.They didn’t take very good care of him. When they open the barn doors and apparently they just kept all the dogs in cages. And having to call to get an appointment to pick your dog up brings up other questions. With all the dogs they have no one there to take care of him after After the class. There’s no one there to take care of them but if they had to potty or have any problems there’s no one there watching them. Makes me wonder if there’s anyone there during the day due to the fact the phone is not answered most of the time. And you have to call for appointment to drop off or pick up your dog
We used The Chateau Resort for our puppy Nittany while we were away. She was in the best hands possible while we were gone. She was able to run & play with their puppies & dogs. She got to swim! She came home a rejuvenated, relaxed pup! We highly recommend The Scarfones! They treated our Nittany-Girl like one of their own!
They know how to take car of dogs but they don't have a clue as to how to operate a business. They post the hours of operation and do not adhere to their postings . The last 3 times we have used them I have had to come back once to drop my dog off and twice had to come back to pick him up because no one was there, if they are going to be a boarding kennel they need to have someone there during the posted hours for picking up and dropping off. I am tired of the excuses.
Joe and Jen are fantastic!!! We have 4 dogs that all have issues (all rescues and scared) and they LOVE it there, they are treated like family. We drive from Robinson Twp because we don't trust anyone else with our kids. I have a pet business myself and I refer my customers to them.

Robin has taken reservations with very short notice, and also kept dogs indefinitely while the owner was in the hospital and unsure when they would return home. Great low prices as well. We have used Xcaliber twice now to board our almost 4 year old German Shepherd. Robin takes great care of our GSD and she has come home happy and healthy with no issues both times. We are thankful for Robin and know that we now have a safe place to send our fur baby when needed in the future.

My dog was well cared for and came home happy. I liked that there are only a few kennels so I knew my pup got appropriate attention. They take the dogs on walks rather than just letting them out to play in a fenced in area. The only challenge was finding it - there's a no trespassing sign at the entrance and no business sign. Look for a driveway with multiple buildings/sheds before the road turns to the right.
This is a new kennel in the area. Robin was able to take my pup in on short notice and was pleasant and easy to work with. My pup hasn't been socialized very well and she let him sniff out other dogs through the kennels to work on socializing.

Been taking my cat here since moving to the area and have never had a bad experience. The owners are kind, helpful, and easy to get a hold of. The facility is clean and seems like a very safe environment for any pet. It seems the staff certainly interact with your pet on a regular basis rather than just leave them to sit in their pen. Brings me peace of mind knowing I am leaving my cat with them when need be.
