Sue and Richard were greeted enthusiastically by the dogs ! They sent me pics of the dogs having a good time on the beach . Which is always reassuring. I can recommend them as dog sitters and they arrived on time and were packed up when I got back
Marlen was such a blessing. We had another sitter cancel just a week before our vacation date so I was so relieved that she was able to step in at such short notice. She came to meet our pups a few days in advance so they would recognize her. While we were away, Marlen sent picture updates and made sure the dogs were cared for. So glad to have found someone like her to help us out.
Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing my dog was in great hands, and I could not recommend Anita enough! Quality care, and our apartment was spotless when we returned home.
Cindy was great, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter experience! Communication was great both before and during the sit. Cindy was really helpful and flexible with arrival and departure arrangements. I came back to a happy dog and a well cared for house, can thoroughly recommend 🙂
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
Duha was such a light to have in our home while we were away. She kept us updated with beautiful photos of our dogs throughout her stay and didn’t leave their side once. I’ve never felt so comfortable with any other sitter and I truly hope this won’t be the last time she sits for us.
Shannon and Travis stepped up at the last minute when an earlier sitter canceled. Shannon and Travis took care our our large brood of animals for two weeks while we were out of the country over the Christmas holiday. They kept us informed about what was happening with the animals and our home. Our dog Pepper doesn’t like most people, but loved Travis and Shannon immediately. I would not hesitate to welcome Shannon and Travis back for another sit. They are very honest and friendly people. Their dog Dime is also awesome.
They took very good care of my pets which involved feeding cats twice daily, fish once or twice a day and filling up fountain for birds. Animals were healthy and happy when I returned. Nothing was lost or broken, and Diane even found a lost grinder part that had fallen into the cats food while I was using it. They are a pleasant couple. They were invited from Wednesday to Sunday. They arrived on Monday so had 3 days instead of one to learn the pets routine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be leaving until Monday morning, but that worked out well since I was mistaken about the end date of my cruise and couldn't get home until Monday. Everything was left neat, but I had minor housekeeping to do (clean sink, fingerprints off glass table, sweep floor). They are older than stated on the profile, which they said only allows 65 as a top age. 68 and 73. Bruce has health problems that requires he sleeps sitting up in a chair that has a leg lift, which luckily I had, so he slept in my living room. They are fine caring for cats, but my friend with a dog decided to find another sitter rather than leave him with them (she was going to pay) because they seem somewhat frail.
Katrina and her family were amazing house sitters who took wonderful care of our dog. Our dog is reluctant to go on walks with new people, but the entire family pitched in and found ways to take her to the park. Her daughter developed a particularly close bond with our dog. Katrina communicated us frequently and we always felt reassured by her messages. We returned from our long trip to a spotless home and a beautiful cake in the fridge. What more could you want!
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.

My mom has been taking her dogs here for years and she and the dogs love Lynn and her family. Lynn's daughters used to sit in a rocker and read to our senior cat when they were small and the family has taken the dogs out for walks in the woods (with Mom's permission) when she had to leave them there longer than usual. You couldn't ask for a better place to leave your dog or cat.
I was very glad to learn that their Pet Lodge was open again! My 3 dogs had received excellent care there before, so when I moved back to the area, that was my first choice for pet boarding. The “boys” come home happy & healthy after their stays, and that’s what’s most important to me. Lynn and Darren are so kind and personable in their human interactions; I can only imagine how well they treat their furry guests!
Got the reference from someone at work to check this place out. I was a little unsure as I couldn't find too much info on it but I took the leap for our dog during a camping weekend. The dog kennels allow it pet to go inside & out at will and it sounds like they spent a good amount of time actually interacting with our dog. Price was reasonable. They do seem to book up quickly so call ahead of time if u are wanting to get ur dog in!
Lynn and her family care for the animals at their place, and it shows. They are personable and polite. It is a comfort having our dog boarded here.
Amazing place, our husky actually gets excited when we drop her off. Last time she didn't want to leave...
Kevin was very good with our babies. We normally don't leave our dogs with other than family, however we wanted to spend some time on Isle Royale and had no one to turn to, I found Keewenaw Kennels on Google and after talking to Kevin on the phone knew he could be trusted. Our pups stayed with him for 3 nights and when we came back other than being happy to see us they were in no hurry to leave him lol, I would recommend him and would use his service again
This man "Kevin Peterson," is a huge "daily," DRUNKARD OLD MAN , who duz not take care of himself, or his home, also apparrently, he likes2 attack women who turn him down sexually!! He tried2 w/me, "MY LAST NIGHT," I stayed there. He was trying2 make advances towards me and i turned him down, glad i had a friend over that night because after he prerended2go2 bed, i went downstairs n he was waiting there around the corner to grab me by the THROAT!! YES, the throat! So, my arm, came up 2block his hand from my throat and said dont touch me like that!! N waved him out of my way, grabbed my things, even 4got a few, but, i got the hell out of dodge b4 anything advanced2 anything more violent!! N i couldnt believe it myself !!!
Great for when you have to leave town n have pets to worry about
Very happy would take our wild GSD here again. She came home happy and she did great boarding for first time. Thanks for watching our baby! 🥰🥰🥰 …
ROSE YOU’RE A LIFESAVER!!! Thank you so much for taking our dogs last minute so we could go to Isle Royale NP!! The fact that you met us an hour before your normal operating hours without even knowing us blew our minds. We are so grateful!! ❤️
Great Experience! We boarded our 2 girls here and it was great. We forgot we were changing time zones so we were an hour late, but she was totally understanding about it and it wasn't a big deal. Here's an example of our great experience: One of our girls is nervous/anxious and when we picked them up I asked Rose how she did. She said our nervous girl wasn't too sure about coming back inside at first after being let out so Rose said she just kept walking through the doorway with our more confident girl acting excited and finally after three times our nervous girl decided there must be something really cool inside and decided to come in on her own. I just love that she was patient, positive and kind with her. She trains border collies so I think she's used to nervous energy. Oh and both our girls are on meds and she didn't charge us extra, most kennels charge at least a few bucks a day for that. Awesome experience.
Rose takes great care of our old Chow dog, Alice. Very kind and professional.
Very clean place for dogs and cats. Owner is a real nice lady. Has lots of dogs of her own.
Clean facility & caring staff. Nice fenced in dog play area.
Friendly service, dog comes back happy.
Great caring place for your pets.
very good kennel
The facility was clean and spacious and the owners are wonderful people. They made me feel comfortable when I dropped my dog off and when I picked him up he was bright and happy. This is definitely a wonderful kennel and I would both recommend and will go back in the future.
Nice clean kennels. Very friendly owners. We would definitely hire their "fur baby" services again.
We were traveling through town with our dogs and wanted a safe place to leave our pups while visiting Isle Royale National Park. The owner made me feel comfortable from the first phone call - and we had a great experience from start to finish. We are always hesitant to leave our dogs with people we don’t know but I would recommend Kozy Quincy Kennels to anyone and would be sure to use them again if I returned to the area. Thank you so much!
The owner and her lovely daughter were sweet and helpful!!
Kenneled my 2 labs when visiting the area. Very clean facility and caring owners. Would definitely use again.
Clean, professional facility operated by a nice family that loves dogs! They treated our dogs very well and we will definitely use their services again.
We were very pleased with this kennel. The owners are easy to work with and the facility is immaculate. Highly recommend.
Very clean and dog friendly. We were impressed with how well our dog was treated.
Clean and well maintained. Accepted a reservation on a short notice. Good price. Friendly owners took good care of my dog.
Very nice. Have used them three times in a year. They let you come and visit your pet anytime! Very handy if you're staying in the Keweenaw.
Great experience. We have boarded our Beagle Lab and French Brittney at CCB for two years now, after moving to the area. We could not be more fortunate to have found such a well accommodating facility. Both of our dogs just love Denise and are always happy to leave us behind. We are always recommending CCB to our friends.
We boarded our 11 year old dog for 4 days...he receives a med 2 x's every day. Denise was so kind and accomadating to our dogs needs. We will absolutely use Copper Country Kennels again in the future!!!
I boarded my husky here for about 1 week due to a last-minute hiccup in plans that left little notice to get him in elsewhere. Following his stay, I unfortunately could not recommend Copper Country Boarding to anyone for a handful of reasons. PROS: Upon arrival, the business/home looked very nice and the owner seemed nice as well. The prices were also very affordable at $18/day. CONS: There was no way for pet owners to see the kennels themselves and their conditions. They did not seem to be very comfortable with my dog, as there was very little greeting and they took him to his kennel before he felt comfortable and safe. During his stay, the owner failed to contact me about my dog having eaten part of his leash which was attached directly to the kennel. I voiced my concern about this and the owner just replied that it had "never happened before" at their kennel - which I find unlikely given how long their website states they have been in business. They also did not call to let me know that the medications he needs occasionally did not seem to be working. He has taken those meds for years and there has never been "no effect". I would have been even more concerned to bring a pet absolutely dependent on medications to this kennel. When returning for pickup, the driveway/walkway was unplowed. Once my dog was brought out, he seemed really skittish and was cowering a bit. This is not behavior I have seen of him after a kennel visit as he has always loved being boarded. There are other kennels in the area that have provided much better care of my dog and I will not be returning to Copper Country Boarding, LLC.
We boarded our dog for just one night as our hotel was not let friendly. He had a great time and was returned to us happy and healthy. We were impressed with the hospitality and flexibility offered in pickup time as we wanted him home earlier to celebrate Christmas and we were accommodated. Would highly recommend!!
Excellent, flexible when our flights home got changed, very appreciative we were able to have our dog stay later than expected.
This Kennel is simply the Best in the Copper Country. Excellent customer service, very pet friendly, great location as well as prices. Highly recommend.
My mother's sheltie, Tegan, recently had an extended stay at Copper Country Boarding while my mother was in the hospital. Denise was a pleasure to work with, and was responsive and compassionate. She and her family treated Tegan like one of their own. We're so glad that we chose Copper Country Boarding. Thank you, Denise!
We boarded our 2 dogs over the holidays for two weeks, and it was a great place for our dogs! Denise is so friendly & helpful and really looked after them!
Our Buck loves it here!!! I had to go for surgery for a month...Buck need meds for a month for heartworm and she gave him all his meds...when we dropped him off he looks out the window watching for them to come out...great place!!!💕💕💕💕🐶🦮🐕🐕🦺💕💕 …
Our dog seemed to enjoy his time there. And seemed excited on his second visit there also.
We had a short notice to go down state to see family and needed a kennel. We are so happy we found Northwind. Kim is super special with the dogs in her care and very knowledgeable about dog behavior. Highly recommend. Thank you Kim! Lacey loved her stay
My service dog tends to be fussy about boarding - almost always loses weight and frets. She clearly loved her time at Northwind. Everyone I met was devoted to her care. Their love and understanding of dogs makes all the difference. I am not an easy 5 star review - but Kim and her team would get 8 stars if it were possible. I would board my dog here again in a heartbeat - no reservations.
We dropped our spoiled rotten dog, Ryker, off at Kim’s kennel so that we could visit Isle Royale for the day. She was very sweet and accommodating, the kennel was spotless, and the experience over all was incredible. If we had not found her, we would not have been able to go to the national park. Highly recommend this kennel.
Chris had an awesome business and Kim will continue his high standards. She is passionate about dogs. Good job Kim!
Excellent facility. Well kept and a gracious host
Great place, clean, quiet. Dogs are handled with great care.
Excellent care. Very clean!
I was so nervous to board my dogs for the first time, and I couldn't believe how well the dogs did. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable, it eased my mind. The 2nd time we went my dogs were happy and ready to go with them.
We were so pleased with our recent experience with Pet Sitters Plus. It was our first time and we were nervous because our dog is our child. The reservation process was seamless and of course we still had fears even with the great reviews. Our concerns were alleviated when we dropped our baby off and there were a full range of small and big dogs being dropped off, so we knew we were in popular hands. The team were thorough to the t and dotted I with all vaccination records as well, so we knew all health checks were covered. We called and checked in throughout the stay and the staff were great at calling right back to give status updates on how everything was going. When we picked up our baby we were delivered a well fed, well socialized and clean dog. She had a great time and now we know we have a trusted place to house her when we leave town.
Again, such outstanding experience. Staff is very through, friendly and wonderful pet care! Over all economical, clean and dedicated
The 1st time with my 2 dogs seem like it went pretty good, Second stay that they recently had. My dogs were only given half their food per day. Their kennel was disgusting when I picked them up. They came home and ate like a couple of pigs And smell like they were laying in their own urine. One of my dogs has kennel cough. He was vaccinated. I understand that's a risk. Any pet owner takes when they kennel their dog. But my problem is the lack of food. The despicable kennel condition and the combative owner that wouldn't admit the poor treatment of my dogs. No way in hell will my dogs ever be kenneled there again.
Needed a place to board our dog while on our way to Wisconsin! Had never been here or boarded our puppy but she did great! Very nice people and that made sure to take pics of your pet during their stay! Only dislike is their weird hours but it makes sense, just was an inconvenience during our travels.
My dog loves it there! She's always excited to go and play with the other dogs. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent with the dogs. The facility has always been clean and tidy. I've used both the dog daycare and the overnight boarding for a few days. I've been extremely happy with both services and I highly recommend Pet Sitters Plus!
I was very nervous to board our dogs for the first time. Pet Sitters Plus helped ease my fears and helped our dogs feel comfortable with the new environment. They even had the opportunity to socialize with other dogs during group play time. They received great care at an affordable rate! We will be definitely be repeat customers!
I have always used Pet Sitters Plus as my go to boarding facility. Friendly workers, clean building and I know my dog will be taken care of after I leave.
Excellent staff! I don't board my cat anywhere else, when I have to go out of town.
We boarded our dog here for 3 nights and had a very good experience. We were very nervous to leave him anywhere and staff was very reassuring. They took a lot of precautions to ensure safety which was much appreciated given the current parvo outbreak. Upon return, our dog showed minimal signs of distress and anxiety and appeared to be very healthy . He didn’t even come home with kennel cough which I was almost expecting since it isn’t uncommon for him to get it after being around so many dogs. We would for sure have him stay again in the future :)
