Dog Sitters in Lake Fenton, MI

We have come a few times now but the last time our dog got sick and we thought maybe just anxiety. We gave it another shot and after telling us bath price doubled and they began charging half days instead of overnights, we were told he’s been throwing up but we were not called. Then asked to tip while paying $80 over the last visit. I think it’s unfair of the owner to not display ALL price changes. Bath was $20 before. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be back as there is a new facility up the road.

I am on my fourth dog that I have taken to this kennel. They are loving, kind and wonderful! Dogs get time outside and are happy. They people who run this kennel are wonderful and helpful. When my second dog was having a seizure Brenda sat on the floor with him until it was over. Will never take my dog anywhere else!!!

They were really nice and was able to get my dog in in a emergency during spring break due to all other kennel was full. But the problem was when we pick up they did not give her blankets to her she could not find it for a minute. Then we got home she was sick with sneezing and eye junk . The kennel smells. I would not recommend this place . My dog goes in the kennel so it is not new to her but does new never come home sick. There is a spot on her nose also looks like something got it .

For years now, Twin Oaks has kenneled my fearful dog twice a year with care, compassion, and good common sense. I'm thankful for a place with the option for individual 24 hr runs where he can be housed with less forced hands-on and therefore less stress.

The lady is very nice, but the place smells horrible… the first time we took our dog there in the summer he came home with ticks, we figured with it being summer and the place being located in a rural area that it was par for the course. However, we took our dog there again in the winter and he came home with kennel cough. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place smells like they board animals; however, they do a great job and they board all types of animals, so that makes them essential to our area. Our pets have enjoyed this place for years, so they're trust worthy and they also do grooming! The smell is the only reason I graded them 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

I have been taking my dogs since 1999. My dogs love going and are always excited to arrive. The owners are very caring and will go out of their way to help!

I personally could not take my handsome boy Kaz there BC I don't think I would of been able to handle it. I was going to b evicted from my rental home if I did not find him a home BC he LOOKED like a pit..I rescued him from the winter ..n It took so long b4 we finally heard of this place !! I just now over a yr later watched my boy on video n I have to say it made me feel better knowing that he would b OK.. I am so THANKFUL N IF HE IS STILL THERE IM COMING TO GET HIM...

Brenda and her team always provide such care and attention to our dog. He comes home happy and doesn't mind being dropped off.

Absolutely wonderful! If you love your dog as much as I love mine they will be in excellent hands at beyond The basics dog care! You can tell the difference when someone sincerely does it for the love of animals and this place is all that and then some! I'm a guy that's very attached to his dog as though he's my little boy and I felt hesitant to leave him overnight anywhere and because of unfortunate circumstances I had to have a place for him to stay the night and all of my worries were taken away by the genuine care he received! Only boarding we use. We drive an hour out of our way just to use Jenny. She is beyond experienced handling dogs and takes great care of each animal as it’s her own! She helped tame Wildman Tux. ❤️

As always nothing but the best treatment . We've been using them for a few years maybe once or twice a year and our great Danes seem to enjoy and have a wonderful time. Very clean , plenty of space for the doggies to play and I cant say enough great things about Jenny. Patience of a Saint, nicest personality, clearly actually does it for the love of the animals.

I will not take my dogs anywhere else for boarding. Jenny is a dog person through and through and it really shows. She's always excited to see our dogs like they are her own. She takes pictures and videos for you as well. Nothing bad to say at all. I wish every animal boarding facility was ran by her!

For the the first time we needed to find a warm and safe retreat for our two year old. Kim's was fantastic. She sent videos of how our Oliver was doing and she was so good to him. Anyone needing to temporarily find a warm stay for your family member it is Kim's.

Kim’s Retreat is a wonderfully calming place. My dog suffers from PTSD from another boarding place and it was difficult for us to leave him. Kim made him feel calm and welcome from his initial meeting with Kim. We were finally able to take a real vacation and not worry! Thank you Kim for all you do for our pets. The Dehnbostels.

This was Aces first stay with Kim and we couldn’t be happier!! The initial meet and greet quickly settled our minds that this would be a great fit, and it was!!!! We love EVERYTHING about Kim’s Retreat; from Kim’s obvious & genuine love for animals to the pristine facility (retreat😊), and the constant and open communication (pictures/videos) with us throughout the stay! The animals get one-on-one play time so we didn’t have to worry about possible negative interactions. Most boarders charge $55 per day. Kim charges $60 per day for individual (tailored to your pet) care!!! Sooooo glad my daughter found Kim’s Retreat!! 10 stars out of 5😁!!!

Kim took special care of our two dogs over the holiday weekend. We were able to relax while in her care. She is organized, clean, filtered water for pups and special treats! Recommend her for a small focused stay for your dogs.

Kim is absolutely AMAZING. She goes above and beyond. My pups absolutely love to go there when we vacation. We used to take them to a local dog daycare, which was not as intimate as Kim's is. Anytime we are getting ready to go on vacation, I look at my dog's and ask them if they are ready to go to Mrs. Kim's, and they absolutely go stir crazy and jet right to the car. I highly recommend her.

Kim's retreat is exactly what we needed. Not only did we need to board our 5 year old dog we also had a 5 month old puppy and we were nervous about leaving him so early and for so long (8 days). Everything worked out great. Kim is fantastic with dogs. Both my dogs had a great time and our pup came home learning a new command that Kim taught him. We will definitely use this service again!

Kim's Retreat is a unique boarding experience - so much nicer than typical kennel/boarding places. We adopted a young Weimeraner, and wanted a more personal and attentive experience for her first time boarding - and Kim provided the perfect solution. The individual rooms are great, and the outdoor fenced area is good for pups that need to run. Maybe the best part is how much Kim cares for each dog that she hosts at the Retreat. It's obvious that she wants them to feel safe and loved, and she gives an excellent personal touch.

Kim does a great job taking care of my dogs when we are out of town. The ReTreat is clean and is beautiful inside. The outdoor play area is big enough for my two labs to get plenty of exercise. And if I need them to be let out during the day, the drop in option is very convenient, helpful, and a great idea! Her communication when we return is exceptional and she truly loves taking care of our dogs. I highly recommend her if you are in need to boarding your dog!

Kim treated our dogs as if they were her own. Her retreat was amazing. My girls had green space to run and plenty of trails to take walks on. We will definitely be coming back for our needs in the future! Than you Kim!

The best doggy day care around Fenton! We love it here. The owners and staff are hands down the nicest people we've come across. My German shepherd doberman mix is all smiles in every picture that they send to us. She absolutely loves it. The pictures and communication is top notch. Absolutely LOVE Ruffy Ranch. Allore treats all the dogs as if they are the only one there. The handlers are amazing along with the facility. Our baby has been going about 2 times a week and has spent the night and it’s so comforting to know he’s in the best care. I love how I get pics sent to me throughout the day of what my baby is up to. Can’t say enough good about Ruffy Ranch Retreat ❤️❤️

This place is the not only the cutest doggy daycare on the planet it's absolutely amazing all around. Our beefy boy loves his play dates, comes home and sleeps for 8+ hours. He takes us to his leash every morning excited that he might be going to visit his new friends. He's well taken care of there. We've not trusted anyone with our baby boy Diesel Franklin, but we trust RRR. They treat you & your fur babies like family there. Such a wonderful staff, Diesel loves them all. 10/10 recommended!

My dog loves going here. Allure is always in a great mood and absolutely loves animals. You can tell she enjoys what she does. She always sends pictures of our dog throughout the day. It is nice to have a doggy daycare place around the area to bring our dog to. I highly recommend ruffy ranch as Allure is amazing and always responds to questions and calls.

This place is so wonderful and welcoming that you'll wish we could go there as humans for the day. From the minute you walk in the front door you are greeted with a huge welcoming smile. I know my dog is loved on all day long. He absolutely goes crazy when we pull in the driveway because he knows how much fun he is going to have for the day. I did board him for five days and couldn’t be more happy with the care he received. Allore sent me pictures consistently, and in every picture he was smiling and or being loved on by one of the employees. There is no doubt that they take pride in their work. I cannot imagine a better place to take my dog.

We could not say enough positive things about Ruffy's Ranch. The owner and staff have been so accommodating and so willing to work with our dog, who is very apprehensive about new environments and grooming. We would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. We are SO thankful and our dog looks amazing thanks to the team!

We absolutely love our friends at Ruffy Ranch Retreat! Our energetic puppy comes home worn out from playing outside all day. She is always clean and happy after her fun days at daycare, and it brings us such peace of mind knowing that she is loved and taken care of while we’re not with her! Allore is caring, passionate about her work, and treats both owners and dogs with the same enthusiasm and kindness every time they walk through the door. I really wanted to love this boarding facility because it’s a beautiful, new building and the owner is incredibly sweet. I also appreciated the daily photo updates of my dog, which is a nice touch. However, after boarding my dog here twice, I can’t overlook the health issues we encountered. After his first stay, my dog came home and within two days started showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. A visit to the vet confirmed that it likely stemmed from either unsanitary conditions or exposure to another sick dog while being boarded. He had to go on antibiotics for a week to recover, which was concerning, but I gave the facility the benefit of the doubt. I contacted the owner and she was very responsive and assured me she would sanitize the facility completely. I hoped this was a one time issue, so I decided to give them another try. Unfortunately, after his second stay, the same thing happened. This time he developed green yellow discharge from his eyes – something he had never experienced before. I’ve boarded my dog at other facilities in the past and never had any issues. He’s up-to-date on all vaccines, extremely healthy outside of these 2 issues based on the vets report, and the only time he’s ever been sick is after returning home from this facility. It’s frustrating and just not worth the hassle of dealing with a sick dog every time he stays here. Additionally, I feel like the facility adds on some unnecessary extra fees. For example, they charge a half-day daycare fee for the initial mandatory interview, even though it only lasted about 15-20 minutes. In my experience, most places don’t charge for this at all. The backyard is also quite muddy as it appears to be a mulch/dirt play area, so every time my dog comes home, he’s very dirty and in need of a bath – which they’ll charge $65 (for my 60lb dog) if you want it done there. It would be nice if they would either reduce that fee because it's going to be needed no matter what after a day spent in their yard, or offer to run them under some clean water so you don't get your car dirty if you opt to bathe them yourself post-pickup. Picking up your dog after noon incurs an additional daycare fee, which is standard at a lot of places but still something to be aware of. My biggest concern, however, is the appearance of a lack of thorough and frequent disinfecting of the facility. It’s a real shame because I wanted to love this place, but I won’t be returning, and I would advise others to be aware of this as well.

If you want your four legged baby cared for in a 5 star resort fashion this is your place. My Lab is spoiled at Ruffy Ranch even better than if she was at home. I feel comfortable when she is in their care and can enjoy my day knowing she is safe and having a fun day

We absolutely love Four Paws. Our four-legged family member is reactive to other dogs and some people. He absolutely loves the staff, and they take great care of him while we are away! The concierge service gives us peace of mind. I can't imagine taking him anywhere else!

Our pup has been boarded here three times and seems to do well. Typically, he stays about a week to week and a half.. In the past, we have also boarded our older dog but, he is more comfortable at home this point in his life. We request check-ins and receive updates with pictures, which are aways so cute. They also ensure that prior to boarding, the pets are up to date on their immunizations, which is very important to us for the protection of our dogs! Recommend!

We don't board our dogs often but loved the idea of the daycare. I have 2 pits and was worried about how they would be treated because of the stereotype that come with the breed. The four paws hotel was awesome ! They were taken care of and treated like they were their own pets. Both boys came home tired after a long day of play. Our dogs were each placed in a group right for them. We love that they had different class sizes so our boys could get the love and attention they needed. Now it looks like they will be going to daycare and not just boarded for our vacation. Thanks for being so great and treating our boys like the good boys they are. We found our place and will recommend to everyone.

I take my dog here to build confidence and get energy out. She is always excited to go. They make dog friendly meals you can get for your pup while they are at daycare. The staff are incredibly nice. Highly recommend, love this place!

Our girl came to The Four Paws 🐾 Hotel & Day Resort February 14, 2023. Her very first day she came home with Valentine’s from all her NEW FURiends. Our girl had gone to another daycare, but oh my gosh I am so glad we found Four Paws. In the almost year she has been there she has grown, flourished and is happier than ever. She is thriving in her development and that is in part to this amazing staff. These ladies and gentlemen are some of the kindest and most compassionate hoomans (as Sasha would say) we have met. My doggies love going here! They have a good selection of accommodations and extras for boarding. So many great options! They paid attention to my dogs needs and adjusted accordingly. And the staff is amazing.

I read all so many positive reviews, that’s what made me bring my fur baby here. I am upset I did not follow my mom instincts. She did not really want to go in, I thought this is her 1st time at this- just anxiety. Which I explained she had, due to her lack of attention and being caged most of her 1st year of life prior to her rescue. She always had to pee for so long as soon as we got her, she got kennel cough. Then the 1 time she actually was boarded for the night- 1st night we ever spent apart- they did not send the picture I begged and paid for till 30 min b4 we picked her up the next day. I was so worried about her. The new place I go, she has never once had to go pee after daycare, I can see on camera all day what she is doing and the staff playing with the dogs- She runs in, not tail between the legs. I think she was put in a cage most of the day here and that is her fear! Learned my lesson, follow mom instincts. Glad for the dogs that are happy, but parents would be happier if they could really see what’s going on! It’s not expensive!! All the best

My 12 year old Labrador Deefer boarded there for five days, first time he's ever been boarded and he is used to me working 5 days a week so sleeps all day. He came home and utterly crashed out. He was there for a couple of daycare visits prior and had a wonderful time. I appreciate the care, the bedtime "tuck ins" that are posted on fb, and think he got exceptional care. I also appreciate that they accept raw meals!

Our dog Luna has been going to Four Paws for about 6 months now. We love Four Paws, but more importantly, Luna loves Four Paws! She gets so excited every time we tell her she’s going there. She’s well looked after and we really appreciate all the extra services you can purchase when boarding your dog here. Their package daycare plans are also a great option for a little savings. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Four Paws to anyone looking for daycare or boarding services.

We used to take our dog, Chester, to a boarding place he loved but it closed down during Covid. We tried a couple other places but had mixed results. Then we tried this a couple years ago and loved it!!! The staff is AWESOME! They are all dog people and it shows with the care they take and the interest they show. I really can't recommend this place enough. Thrilled we found it!

This is the only place I feel our dogs are taken care of in a boarding kennel. Lisa and Randy are great care takers, and it shows in their facility and in our dogs behavior when we pick them up. Our dogs are stress free, not thirsty and their fur and bedding is clean. Thank you Wag n Purr for peace of mind while traveling.

We love Wag and Purr! This is the first and only place that my mom took her beloved 11 year old Boston Terrier too and we took our dog there as well. Randy and Lisa are terrific and the place is so clean and nice! You can feel so great leaving your pet there - they are well-taken care of, played with and have a lot of room to run! This area was in desperate need of a clean, well-kept kennel and Wag and Purr delivers that and so much more!

There isn't a better kennel on Earth! We live out of state and enjoy our visits with our non-pet friends because we can board our dogs at Wag & Purr. It is the standard to which other kennels strive to be. The dogs get plenty of attention and lots of outdoor time. The facility is immaculate and the grounds are obviously groomed by a master gardener. Lisa and Randy - we wish you great success!

Lisa and Randy are so nice! I have not left my dog there yet, but am scheduled to board him. All the kennels are spotless, the runs are huge, everything is so we'll set up. All the animals seem happy and not stressed out.

Wag & Purr is the only pet boarding place we go to now. Lisa and Randy are so attentive and welcoming for our dog. We have gotten into the habit of scheduling our dog's stay at Wag & Purr and making sure that is set before scheduling anything else for our vacations since it is such a good experience and above the competition.

Wag & Purr is the only place we will take our boys too. Randy and Lisa are exceptional. When we toured the Hotel aka facility, we were highly impressed. The first time we boarded our boys, upon picking them up we were given pictures of their stay and when we got home they were exhausted. This was a sure sign they had tremendous amount of fun. Now, throughout the years, we consider the boys to be going on their own special vacation as well. They become excited as soon as we turn down the street and are in a big hurry to get out of the car and into the resort. Randy and Lisa are passionate about their business. They are patient, kind and calm. And when I see my boys comfortable and happy I know this will be their home away from home forever. It's the best kept secret! Elite is an understatement for the services provided. My husband and I have been out of country for an extended period of time and although we have missed our boys we trust Randy and Lisa. We never worry about them while they are in their care. To us trust is priceless and we fully trust Wag & Purr.

Simply put-Best kennel ever. The personal touch is evident in everything they do. There is real care for the dogs, not just ours but all of them. Even though we moved out of state we we bring our dogs back next time we need boarding.

Hannah was excellent in her care for our Miniature Dachshund Cashew. She provided many updates throughout the day which kept our family at ease. A major upgrade from using a service like Rover as Fur Baby has a great onboarding process and many forms to complete where they try to understand your pet.

We were thrilled with Fur Babies’ overnight care and transport service! Lizzie did a fantastic job caring for our pups, Rae and Lumi, during our wedding. We arranged for her to bring both dogs to our wedding venue for photos. She handled them amazingly, driving over an hour to the venue. They showed up just at the right time and we got some fantastic photos with our girls on our wedding day! She stayed overnight at our house with our dogs and sent reassuring texts that everything was just fine at home. Our pups were well cared for and snuggled while we were away. We highly recommend Fur Babies!

We have been using Fur Baby Comfort and Care since 2019, and couldn't be more appreciative of everything they do. From giving us updates of our dogs with pictures/videos, to leaving the house clean and in order. We are so grateful!

My wife and I were looking to take a vacation but were worried as we have four ferrets and they can be a lot to handle for people not familiar with them. We reached out and they matched us with a great pet sitter, Katie. We had a meet and greet where we could go over their routine and medication. She had all the familiarity and she went above and beyond keeping us in the loop and taking care of them. Even our cat who hides for any guest started to warm up to her. Our business (name for a group of ferrets) is very appreciative of the great care they received.

Rae from Fur Baby Comfort & Care did an amazing job with our crew! Going on Spring Break I didn’t want to board them. Fur Baby Comfort & Care stayed with them in the comfort of their own home for the week along with giving them daily walks, playtime and snuggles. Rae sent pictures and multiple updates per my request. They were in great hands and highly recommend them!!!

Honestly this review is well overdue but I feel that I can really speak to the outstanding level of care that this entire company provides. Alyssa walks our dogs weekly and is extremely flexible with my husbands changing schedule. My dogs are extremely well taken care of and I receive detailed text messages about their walks along with the route details and cute photos! I’ve also had Emma multiple times now for extended stays and I feel 1000% comfortable and at ease with her taking care of my dogs and cat while I’m out of town. She communicates multiple times throughout the days with updates and you can tell they both enjoys what they do! This company has been so great for me and my family and I’m so thankful to have people who love my fur babies as much as I do!

Once again, we were able to go on vacation, knowing our boys were in the best hands, with Fur Baby Comfort & Care. Sarah took the best care of them, giving us 3 detailed updates, along with several pictures, every day. We could tell our pups were so happy with her, while we were away. She even came back to feed them, when our flight was delayed. On top of all of that, their prices are more than reasonable. We love Fur Baby!🐾❤️

I used a pet service for the first time while on vacation, and I will from now on! Makenna at Fur Baby did a great job visiting our cat while we were away and letting us know all the details and texting pictures, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing everything was taken care of. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Fur Baby Comfort & Care enough! It was our first time away overnight and we had nothing but the best experience. I love the convenience that I didn’t have to drop off or pick him up from anywhere, and he got to spend his time where is most comfortable….at his own home! I received updates at least 3x a day along with pictures. I came home to everything picked up and a nice little gift/note. This was our second time using Fur Baby Comfort & Care and both times we have had the same pet care specialist (by request the second time because we loved her so much after the first time) who we adore and our boy LOVES! They go on so many adventures together and he loves all of the exercise she gives him! Anytime we need pet care while we’re away, we will always be using Fur Baby Comfort & Care! We already have them scheduled again for our next adventure where our boy can’t come with us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the first time I’ve ever had a pet sitting service take care of my dogs. To say the least, I was very nervous. My babies mean the world to me. Hannah and Angela were my sitters and they were absolutely wonderful. I never felt more relaxed. One of my fur babies is 15 years old and she is diabetic so she hast to have insulin shots twice a day. Hannah and Angela handled it like a pro. They were so good at giving me updates every day and sending pictures to me. I will definitely be using them again in the future

My Harley girl has been coming to this facility for a few months now and she is always so excited to go play with her friends. The staff there are always so happy to see her and sometimes give me a review of how she did and what friends she had made that day. The only thing I could maybe critique is the cameras to check on the pups aren't great quality but now that she's so happy to go every few days, I trust these beautiful humans to take care of my baby girl. We have been taking our border collie puppy Dexter here for a few months now for daycare. They always take great care of him! He gets so excited when we pull up, and is always tired coming home. The staff there are friendly- we especially love Izzy, they always gives us nice little updates on how his day went! It's really nice that they have cameras as well, where we can check on Dexter throughout the day. The last few months he has grown a lot, turning into a nice young adult dog and we have them to thank for helping with that!

Absolutely Love and Highly recommend The Furlough Dog Daycare. I have two large dogs a Husky and a German Shepard which are difficult to find overnight stays or grooming, not for The Furlough, they are amazing. I use them for a dog play day, to let them mingle with other dogs in an amazing and safe environment or more recently a few nights vacations for the family I was able to board my dogs. My dogs love this place. Grooming is great too!! Thank you Furlough!!!

After having a few bad experiences at another facility with Titan, a previous dog I owned, I decided to groom him myself. I currently have 2 Keeshond dogs, Maive and Maverick. There is NO way I could groom them! I have only ever gotten them groomed here, and don’t plan on going anywhere else! Why would I? They ask me what I want for them. They follow through with the directions I give. They do it with a smile on their face. The best part is they do a beautiful job!

I have gotten my dogs groomed there and I have bored them there. I love this place they live on my dogs and take great care of them. I won't go anywhere else!!

I read all the reviews and a family friend recommended this place to me. I needed a place for my dog to be boarded for Thanksgiving week. This place is so nice and friendly. The staff members really care for your fur baby while you are away. There are nice dogs everywhere. My little husky-mix, Plum made lots of friends both human and canine while she stayed there. Miss Plum was so happy so she and I will definitely return to the Furlough for sure.

Great place. Took my dog here a few times. Employees to me feel like they actually care about your pup and not just babysitting. Definitely will recommend!
