Maryna was an excellent pet sitter and houseguest! Communicating with her was easy, and she always responded to my messages quickly. She was also incredibly self-sufficient! Moreover, Maryna graciously agreed to check on my neighbor's cat for a couple of days as well. My dog bonded with her quickly and was happy and healthy when I returned. The house was also spotless. I would happily have Maryna sit for me again!
Ray and Lynn were excellent sitters for Moose! They took him out multiple times a day and always played with him. They sent so many pictures and Moose always looked so happy! They were very flexible on when they arrived and left and very organized. The house was left clean and tidy and we found a happy dog when we got home. We would definitely have them back anytime!
Cristina is simply the best house/pet sitter that we have ever had. She is responsible and dependable and an experienced dog owner. Our Wheaten, Bridie, adores her and misses her when she leaves.
Stephanie was fantastic! Very organized and left our house sparkling clean. She also sent daily pictures/messages which we loved receiving. She took great care of our dog and our house. One of the best sitters we’ve had!
Cyndi was fabulous. I'd describe her as the no fuss no muss dog sitter. While some dog sitters need guidance on every little detail, Cyndi was completely self-sufficient. She left the home in perfect shape and totally adored my pup. I'd gladly welcome her back anytime!
Great sitter and kept in contact regularly. Would gladly have her sit for my dog again.
Amara was a WONDERFUL sitter for our home and our dogs for the weekend. We were so comfortable with her being in our home, and she provided regular updates and photos of our babies. The house was clean upon arrival home - we would have no hesitation recommending her to others and hope she would consider coming back to spend more time with our dogs!
Duha was such a light to have in our home while we were away. She kept us updated with beautiful photos of our dogs throughout her stay and didn’t leave their side once. I’ve never felt so comfortable with any other sitter and I truly hope this won’t be the last time she sits for us.
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.
Lori and Joe took great care of our two dogs and tow cats while we were gone. Our plans changed and we actually asked if they could come a day before we had originally planned to leave and they said no problem! They even stayed over on the night we got home so that we could meet them which was very nice! Lori was very good with communication before the house sit and also during the time they were here. She let us they had arrived safely and then sent us a short text or pictures every day of the animals. The house looked cleaner than when we left it when we got home! Lori and Joe were great house sitters and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

We love the sniff shack. We use it regularly for daycare and baths and we also use it for boarding - knowing tour dog Huey (basset hound) is in the very best hands. The staff is excellent and Huey charges through the front door to play with his friends when we pull up to drop him off. Highly recommend for your furry family.
Cosmo Kramer is always so happy to go to daycare and has such a great time playing with his friends. He's been a regular for 4 years at the Denver Sniff Shack and we give it two 🐾 aws up. …
SniffShack is my go to doggie day care. My pup had a lot of fear early on but by coming nearly weekly he has blossomed. When I see he is helping teach puppies to play on his report card, I know he is having a good time and is comfortable. It makes me happy.
Our dogs love this place! The staff is friendly and the facility is very clean! Our dogs get so excited when we pull into the parking lot. I love how you can check in on them throughout the day on the sniff cam!
We love the Sniff Shack, our boy Eddie loves the Sniff Shack, and every time I walk in and tell someone I’m there to pick up Eddie, I can see in their eyes and hear in their voices that they love Eddie too. There’s nothing more important than that when leaving my dog in the care of others. I’d recommend Sniff Shack to anyone.
I just recently started taking my 8 month old puppy Daisy here for occasional daycare, and this last weekend she was boarded there for the first time. With Daisy being deaf, I was really nervous to put her in either one, but have been nothing but happy and satisfied with the way she is handled. Its fun and reassuring being able to watch her throughout the day on the Sniff Cams while I am at work, and I always see her getting loved on by the staff and happily playing with other dogs. The report cards at the end of the day are always a highlight as well. Daisy loves going and comes home tired out from all the playing she did throughout the day. Thank you Sniff Shack for being a fun, safe place for my special needs puppy.
Huge life saver for my little family. The staff are always very friendly and quickly respond to reservation requests. Our rescue dog was very nervous and anxious when we first got him. Now, when we drop him off he's super excited to see all the potential friends. Not to mention that he comes home exhausted and happy. We've left him there for 10 days at a time at the longest without any worries. Cannot recommend the Sniff Shack enough.
My rescue dog and I both love The Sniff Shack! She was very under-socialized when I got her and daycare has made all the difference. I love being able to see her on the camera and the report card pictures are the best. The boarding services are amazing too and you can customize in whatever ways your pup needs. I usually add on extra “cuddle time” and a bath for mine. Not to mention the staff are all such dog lovers! It’s clear they have a passion for their work. My Mia always trots in happily. Highly recommend!
The screening and sign up process is a little tedious, and the pricing is on the steep end for the service provided, but the Sniff Shack is a great facility with kind staff. The cameras to watch your dog at play while you're away is a nice feature. There are some cots for the pups to nap on during daycare but the rest of the space is an open warehouse vibe with concrete flooring and a few recreational toys.
We love the Sniff Shack!! Our dog has the best time there. The staff is always so friendly and willing to work on socialization skills with our dog. We are appreciative of them!
I have used Denver Pet Sitters for around 7 years now to feed my cats. Paul and Jahna are both incredibly attentive through the entire process and make sure that every animal and visit is treated with equal importance. They keep detailed notes on feeding schedules and regimens and I've never had a single issue when I have been gone! They are incredibly responsive in communicating and I have always loved the regular photo updates that they send. And I love the unique bonds that my animals have formed with them. My previous cat Fluffig was very vocal and would run to meet Paul when he would visit. And my current cat, Fika, who is much more timid around strangers now regularly comes out to say hi. Travelling and leaving your pets can be stressful, but I have always felt great peace of mind knowing that they are well cared for by Denver Pet Sitters. I cannot recommend them enough!
I started using Denver Pet Sitters about a year and a half ago, when a close friend who lives nearby recommended them. Just as anyone who deeply cares about their kids (whether they have fur or not), I really want someone trustworthy and reliable to care for my dog when they are with her. Jahna and Paul came to my house for our initial meet and greet and my pup immediately took to them - especially Paul! I was so happy with their connection, as my dog can be somewhat high-strung and not always trusting of new people. I provided Denver Pet Sitters with a key to my home and twice a week since - with the exception of vacations and times off - my dog gets out for a nice walk with her best-buddy Paul. Denver Pet Sitters have been great for BOTH of us. I cannot recommend them enough - they have become like family.
Jahna and Paul at Denver Pet Sitters are the absolute best! I moved to Denver in August 2020 in the midst of Covid, knowing only one person in Denver, and bringing with me my two cats that can be a bit of a handful! My older kitty has to be on daily medication, so when I knew I was going to be gone for a stretch of time, I sought out to find someone trustworthy that could come over every day. At the recommendation of my local friend, I found Jahna and Paul. The minute they walked in the door I could tell how kind and professional they were. Not to mention their genuine love of kitties! They've watched my cats several times since that first time, and they are always wonderful and consistent. I get pictures of my kitties and updates when I am gone. And Jahna will always ask to let her know that I am home so she knows the cats are being taken care of and my return date hasn't changed. She even gave me wonderful travel tips when she knew I was heading to Moab! Denver Pet sitters are hands down the only people that I will trust with my kitties when I am away! They definitely give you the peace of mind that your pets are safe and happy so you can enjoy your travels!
Jahna and Paul with Denver Pet Sitters have taken care of my boy Trotsky who is an 11 year old Great Pyrenees for 4 years. They have done an incredible job taking care of him! I work in a clinic working long hours, and it has been so comforting knowing he is taken care of when I’m away from him. They are both extremely professional and reliable. When I was going through a hard life transition, she even gave me sunflowers to cheer me up! I highly, highly recommend Denver Pet Sitters!!
I actually found Denver Pet Sitters through Reddit, so if you're out there Reddit user - thank you!!! Jahna and Paul make up Denver Pet Sitters and they are seriously amazing! I have never felt more comfortable leaving my pets and homes in the hands of someone else than I do with them. They are fully insured and took the time to get to know my kitties without pushing their boundaries and now when Jahna and Paul come by the cats are ecstatic. I couldn't recommend them more! Seriously give them a call - you won't regret it!
We love Denver Pet Sitters!! We called Jahna and Paul when our cats were only months old. We were nervous leaving them for a long period just as kittens but Jahna and Paul eased our worries. They not only watched our house while away but sent pictures and updates of our kittens regularly. They are the first people we call when we have travel plans and we have always returned home to a clean house with happy cats. More recently while our house was being sold, Jahna made extra trips to our house to ensure our cats were safe inside with so much traffic going in and out of the house. We are very grateful to have found such kind, quality care takers for our cats and highly recommend!!
They are so awsome. They took great care of both my cat and my dog on several occasions.
The Best!!!
Best place to take your dog for grooming! We have a Westie and they make her so bright and beautiful after her cleanups, she needs maintenance at least every 6 weeks so we frequent the Barking Lot all the time, I highly recommend this business to anyone needing their service.
Our dog loves to go for the day and play with all his dog friends. It is reasonably priced and a descent facility. The only problem we have (and it is a pretty big one) is when we pick our dog up she stinks so bad we hate to even put her in the car. Several times we have given her a bath in the yard before we can let her in the house. I am not a primadonna about such things...I grew up on a farm. Now the decision is do we keep taking her back to have fun and drive her home in the back of my truck or do we quit going so we don't have to worry about out new car?
Great boarder! My husband and I have been boarding our dogs (Zeke & Quinn) with The Barking Lot for a year & we couldn’t be happier. Our dogs get SO excited every time we pull into the parking lot, which makes us feel good as owners. The staff takes extra time to discuss your pets needs & the boarding prices are very reasonable (no extra charges for daycare, etc.). We recently moved closer to Boulder, but we’re more than happy to drive the extra time just to board them here. We feel comfortable knowing they’re in great hands when we’re out of town. We love The Barking Lot! ❤️🐾
I'm not a patron, and I don't plan to be. Here's why... I frequent a business next door. I can see and hear the dogs through the fence. The dogs are often at the back door, barking to come inside. Often, there's no staff member outside in the yard with them. The staff only seem to go out to hose the yard down and then they're right back inside. The yards are small, and the dogs nuisance bark out of boredom and loneliness for people. It feels more like an animal shelter. I can't imagine paying to have my dog experience a day of this. I'm such a dog person, and this place just makes me so sad. Go outside the building and sit in the parking lot and observe for ten minutes. You'll see I'm not exaggerating. There are other boarding facilities with staff who genuinely love and engage the dogs all day, and with bigger yards. If you don't want your dog ignored and bored, I'd look elsewhere.
The owner/employees are all so wonderful! On top of that, they know my dog. When a daycare can tell you stories about your dog during pick up, that’s a green flag for me. And my dog is ecstatic upon arrival for a reason!
Our Sawyer goes nuts when we tell him he’s going to daycare (we call it class). He has an insane amount of energy and when we get him back at the end of the day he’s calm, happy, and tired. Everyone I’ve ever come into contact with at The Barking Lot is absolutely lovely, and we’re just so lucky to have it in the neighborhood. 10/10 would recommend!
Our very social pup Greg is an only dog and while he's usually pretty well behaved when he starts getting into mischief we know it's time to take him to the Barking Lot. He loves loves loves doggie daycare, gets great socialization time and comes home tired and happy. We are so grateful to know he's well taken care of and having fun when we drop him off.
We adopted our Saint Bernard a year ago and had a hard time finding a good groomer for her. She can be difficult and we think she probably had some bad experiences at groomers in the past. Cindy has always done a great job with her and we feel like she really cares about our dog and her experience. So glad we found Cindy and The Barking Lot! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a groomer!
I literally could not love this daycare any more than I do! I work a lot (too much) and my Murph has been in daycare since he was fully vaccinated. We’ve tried out 4 around town and I’ll never go to a different daycare. DeeAnna, the owner, provides the BEST customer service to all the dog owners, and the best experience for my pup! He comes home from daycare, has dinner, and falls asleep! Murph can be a pot stirrer and has had a couple small issues at The Barking Lot, which have been handled amazing. They are honest and have great communication. Love to see the pics of the pups on FB after a day of play!
Tyler groomed our husky yesterday. He did THE BEST job! We have had her groomed before but Tyler is by far the best. He was fast, friendly and took great care of Juneau. The price was affordable too. He is our new "go to". I highly recommend him! Thank you Tyler!
When my original arrangement for my two fur babies fell through, I was in a pickle. That's when a neighbor told me about Poop in a Group, and I contacted Shannon immediately. We set up a trial sleepover and that went really well. It is extremely important to Shannon that the dogs she takes are nothing but friendly and loving, and my two fit that description to a T. When I went on my first vacation in 7 years and left Josie and Bruno with Shannon and her family, I felt so calm and confident that they were in great hands, I didn't have any worries being gone for a week. Shannon kept me updated with pictures the whole time. I thought I was having a great time but it looked like Josie and Bruno had an even better one!!!! I feel extremely lucky and also grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my dogs, I had not made any plans to go anywhere in a very, very long time because my dogs are my priority, and I'd rather be with them than go on trips, so if I can't take them, I would stay home. Now I feel like I can go places and needn't worry about Josie and Bruno being well taken care of and being just as spoiled rotten as at home. I already booked my next trip and we will all have a great time! Thank you, Poop in a Group!!!!
What a great idea. Dog socialization + midday dog walking service, all for a discount price. We were very nervous about inviting someone we don’t know into our home to take care of our “only child”. However, a friend recommended poop in a group, and they really made the whole process wonderful. This group is honest and trustworthy: our dog had some hiccups when we started leaving her home alone (hot weather & house accidents) and our “pack leader”, Rocky, managed it wonderfully. Camilla did an introductory appointment at the beginning, which shows they really care about following your rules & training, and it really helps to establish trust. Plus, you get a 20% discount for referrals! We really love their flexibility, responsiveness, follow through, and personalized touch. Plus, the shared dog walks fit best into our budget ($11 for 30 minutes). Shannon runs the organization, and follows up with photos and status updates after the walk. Great service, great idea, wonderful group.
My husband and I had a pretty hard time with the fact that we’d have to leave our pup for a whole month. She’s not a crate dog, she’s a big chicken, but she has so much love and truly I just wanted someone that would mom her like I do. I did a trusty google search and spoke with half a dozen different businesses. What stood out to me was Shannon however came across as a person, not just a business owner. Her love for dogs was immediately clear, and she was clearly excited to help our little family by keeping our trip as stress free as possible. During our vacation, I got daily photos and updates of how our pup did. She made lots of new friends during her stay, as well as made herself right at home amongst their family. Sleeping in their bed, sitting on their couch with the family watching tv, walks GALORE. It was all so perfect! My dog gets medications twice a day, and that was handled without question and no problems. They ran out of food and treats I had brought with when dropping her off (my bad) and they were purchased as needed, and she kept all receipts for me, etc. All in all, if I could go beyond 5 stars I would. I absolutely will rave about Poop in a Group forever. Shannon is my go to, and I cannot recommend her business enough. Your babies will be loved just like they are at home.
We are so grateful to have connected with Shannon and Poop In A Group. We are in Oceanside for a few months escaping the MN winter with our senior Maltese and were worried about finding a reliable pet sitter. Shannon surpassed our expectations. She knows dogs, all shapes, sizes, ages and is able to accommodate their needs. The visiting dogs become a part of the family which was a perfect fit for our dog. I appreciated the trial overnight visit to ensure all would go well for a longer stay. Shannon sends timely pictures and updates reassuring your pet is happy, safe and well cared for. We are looking forward to using Poop In A Group again.
Nothing compares to Shannon and her family when it comes to dog sitters! Our two year old lab/shepherd, Lucky, has tons of energy and loves being with people. While away Shannon sent daily updates and pictures of what they were up to during the day. He gets multiple walks/runs and tons of playtime with other pups while at her house. I can not say enough postitive things about my experience with poop in a group. We feel like family. Every time we pull up to her home Lucky's tail starts wagging and he runs up to the front door. Thank you so much PIAG!!!
A coworker couldn’t say enough good things about Shannon and Poop in a Group so I gave them a shot and am so glad I did. I have a very anxious pup who is slow to warm up to new people and immediately he bonded with Shannon and her crew. I always felt confident Axwell was in good hands when on a walk or hike with PIAG. They would share pictures after each outing of Axwell with the other dogs and feedback on his mood or temperament that day. PIAG was also really easy to communicate with by text and email and I felt safe letting them in my home when I wasn’t there. Axwell and I highly recommend!
Poop in a Group is Awesome! Shannon and her family are so caring and treated our pups as their own! They were very well taken care of. Dependable, affordable, reliable and caring. We highly recommend Poop in a Group!
We had a great experience with PIAG. Very dependable, reasonable, and good communication. Pics from her walks are attached. We were sorry to see the company leave Denver but it looks like Oceanside is getting the benefit!
Shannon and her family are the best! We are so happy we found Poop In A Group after some bad experiences with dog boarding care. Shannon texted updates throughout our dog’s stay that made it obvious he was in good hands and made going out of town worry free. He loved being there so much that he seemed sad to be back home—perhaps he was just tired from all the play time and walks, but I think Poop In A Group is his new favorite place! Thank you so much for a great experience! I highly recommend Shannon’s services!
I am so happy to have found Poop Group!! Shannon and her family provided loving care and attention to my little Daisy Mae so I could travel without any stress or worry. I loved getting updates and pictures everyday... I could see how Daisy Mae was getting on, adapting and socializing with the family and the other guest dogs, and resident dog, Ozzie. The first time I dropped Daisy off she looked a little hesitant, but now she more or less wags her tail and says "bye, I'm happy to be with the Gang." I highly recommend Poop In A Group LLC to anyone who wants stress-free loving home care for their precious fur babies.
WARNING!!! Security of your home may be compromised by using So Fetch. Details below: I used Ross with So Fetch since about March of 2024. He walked my dog, Ruby. Nothing seemed odd until the summer. One day I came home and saw one of my unopened 2-liter of pop was drank, and when I asked him he said he was hot and forgot to let me know. I shrugged it off but I did not know that would be the tip of the iceberg. I had two international trips this summer on which I paid So Fetch to water my plants while I was gone (my dog was staying with my friend). All he needed to do was water my inside and outside plants which should take about 15 min or less. I paid him the rate he charges to walk dogs 30 min. While a high rate for plants, I understand the rate is the rate. On this last trip I came home to a VERY DIRTY home. Ross knew my cleaner was coming 3 days before I got home and yet the house was gross. The floor sticks with crumbs. Dirty dishes in the sink and on the counter. He also ate some of my food and left his own food. (I confirmed via camera the cleaner came and Ross made a mess after and before she came). This perked my senses so I watched my dog camera to find he would be at my house for 8+ hours a day (even days he WAS NOT scheduled to water plants) AND HAD FRIENDS OVER! All of this was unacceptable and not approved by me. He had people over on MULTIPLE occasions and I even heard him mention to his friend how we “rented” our townhouse. He used our tv, used our utilities, left a dirty toilet and turned down the AC (which I’ll be paying for when the utility bill comes). Ross stopped talking to me - would not take my calls and stopped texting. (Pics attached of convo). Eventually he returned the key when my boyfriend started texting him. He still will not refund what I paid him. When he does I’ll update this review but he has not refunded as of now. My house and safety were compromised. I cannot emphasize enough how much your houses security will be compromised. Unspoken for guests is NEVER ok and staying at my house past midnight on multiple occasions and being here 8+ hours is not needed for the plants. Attached is our text thread and pictures of the dirty house.
Ross with So Fetch Denver is a SUPERSTAR. As a single woman in the city, it's important to be able to trust someone coming into your home and taking care of your pup. My dog loved him instantly, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. Ross sent a selfie with my old girl and a video of their first walk together, which was both super sweet as well as going above and beyond. He keeps an open line of communication and will let you know if times need to be adjusted. I couldn't have asked for any more from a dog sitting service. Ross truly treats your dog like a part of his family. Thank you, So Fetch Denver!
Ross is amazing. He is always on time and is very honest and clean. His overnight doggy sitting is fantastic. Maggie loves him and is always happy. 5+ stars from us. His photography is beyond belief. Ross is now a permanent part of our family.
Ross has been a god send to me and my pup Kacey!! He is a reliable dog walker and available for overnights at a short moments notice. My dog absolutely adores him. Hire Ross today!!
Ross takes great care of Bonnie and has helped socialize her with all the downtown and cap hill dogs. I think she knows her way around town better than I do. He’s also been amazing with my other dog who has some social anxieties and is slow to meet new people. Thanks Ross!
Ross is an extremely caring individual who will treat your animal like family and doggie parents with respect. I highly recommend using TLC Denver.
Ross is amazing!!!! he is very good and patient with my pup Chance! I highly recommend him!
Ross is the guy I trust with my best buddy! I get pics, videos, and peace of mind knowing Gordo is in the best hands possible!
Ross takes such great care of my pup!! We appreciate him!
Hes our favorite at the Residence Inn. Always good to our guests!
We’ve been taking our pup to Zen Doggy for boarding (and sometimes day care) for about two years and have been so happy with them. The staff is truly wonderful - they remember our dog and always have something kind to say about her during pick up. They have always communicated proactively too and been quite flexible. I accidentally pre-purchased a daycare package instead of a boarding package a while ago. The days were about to expire and I would have lost the money. They could have easily told me “too bad,” but without any hassle, they applied the amount to our next reservation. I also really appreciate that the faces are always familiar - the same staff have been there for quite a while which is very comforting. Our dog can be very nervous and picky about people she likes, so consistent staff is a major bonus!!
This is the only place I have felt comfortable in years taking my sweet but reactive dog who needs work building her confidence. After training at Zen Doggy I feel great boarding her there. Some boarders like dogs, Zen Doggy actually understands them. Highly recommend.
I found Zen Doggy Den of a personal recommendation. I came to them because I needed 10 hours of certified training for a court mandate. They offer a unlimited package which was great, but even better they come to you to train in the environment where your dog needs it the most. Julie and Trin were awesome and very knowledgable and did a great job working with a dog that has leash aggression and generally struggled with other dogs. She is an older dog as well, 9years, so a bit of history to work through. Here is a breakdown of how it went: Ten 1 hour sessions We started by going to the Zen Doggy Den facility and introducing the slip collar and working on that for the first several sessions. Then we moved the remaining sessions to our house. We then did the next several sessions working through our walks around the house and neighborhood(park) and making sure both owners practiced as my dog is aware of who is running the leash. For the final 3 sessions we introduced an E collar. So far my dog has responded well and even had her walking behind and close to another dog. I plan to utilize the unlimited sessions to introduce more dogs and to do a trainer check on our progress as we continue to train. Some other side notes: they will also give you good info for dog behavior in the home(since they come to you, good to ask). Also having a dog that we didn't think we could board anywhere is now a possibility, since they know the dog and have worked with her before, plus the continued training makes it a reality for a vacation. (I'll update after our boarding experience). If you have court mandated training hours, this is a great and affordable option compared to other trainers I looked at. (same price but you had to go to them, bleh) Thanks Zen Doggy Den!
I'd had average experiences with this company until recently. There were some good and some bad, but the location was convenient enough and their employees so nice that I kept coming back. My interactions with Zen Doggy Den today have convinced me that I maintained patronage too long. On 9/9, two random charges showed up on my credit card from Zen Doggy Den. According to an email provided by the company after the fact, they were billing in arrears for a billing error on their part 6 months ago (March 11 to September 9). I am outraged that there was no communication about this error and Zen Doggy Den's owners decided they could levy charges to the account that are 6 months and more old without any prior consent/discussion. I would have been happy to talk about these fees had the company had a conversation with me, but they did not even take the time to send a notice that the charges would be billed on x date. When I replied to their email (giving notice that the charges had already been made) that it was not appropriate to send charges without a prior discussion, it is now 9 hours later and no reply has been received yet. This company has failed to meet expectations several times, and this was the final convincing I needed to end services with them. They promise to provide a "report card' with photos after the first time you board with them, but this never came. It sounds like my experience here is common. The only updates they provide on your dog boarding there is via facebook, and they will often go days at a time with no updates. Once, I did not see any photos of my dog or updates on him during the course of an entire trip. Additionally, I have been incorrectly billed 3 times now. When the incorrect billing was in my favor, I was not notified about it and a credit was simply applied to the account. I found out about this because I called to ask why the invoiced amount was incorrect, and they informed me a credit had been added to the account (rather than my cc refunded). On another occasion, I was informed that a day's stay would be removed from the bill due to picking my animal up early only to be informed later that they do not reduce the bill for early pickups. The one positive thing I can say about this place is that the people employed here are always congenial. I will, however, be taking my business anywhere else. Update after the owner’s response: I’m sorry that you’ve had bad customer experiences and that those bad customer experiences have led you to decide that a lack of communication is the best policy. I do not agree with that policy and would prefer to do business with a company who believes customers are partners rather than obstacles to be overcome. In regards to the communication, you are correct that I called in about 2 hours after sending the email, and the person on the phone was able to listen to my frustration, but he had no authority. An owner or at least manager should have called or emailed or taken any action once the person I talked to explained how frustrated I was. In my opinion, a customer of yours should not have to post an online review to get a response.
Dropped our puppy off for daycare and had a great experience. He is a high energy puppy, but the Zen staff managed him very well. We got a "pup-date" halfway through the day and he had a smile on his face in every picture. I plan to use Zen again in the future.
I love the Zen Doggy Den! They take such great care of my anxious dog. Now that she has gotten to know the staff, she gets so excited every time we walk in, which is extremely comforting. The staff at Zen Doggy Den are the only people I trust to take care of her when I travel. They make my life so much easier!
Zen Doggy Den is great! We send our puppy there when we need day care services. The staff is super responsive, the facilities are great, and we love their play policy which allows our puppy equal time rest and play. Highly recommend!
I’m very glad I found Zen Doggy. My dog loves going there, and he really thrives in the small group structure. I know my dog can be a handful, but the staff are always happy to see him and very loving towards him.
If you have an anxious/selective dog - this place is for you! I adopted my current dog, Benny, from Big Bones Canine Rescue in July 2020. Benny is a large (70-75 lbs) bundle of anxiety. We moved to the area in June 2021 and started looking for a doggy daycare/boarding facility. I passed by Zen Doggy Den everyday on Wadsworth, but was skeptical because of how small the facility looked. We had tried two doggy daycares previously. One was TINY - they would put all of the dogs together in one room without breaks. There wasn't even outdoor space. The other was a large commercial facility. They put a bunch of dogs together based on size and Benny got kennel cough after only going for a trial day. I asked other adopters for recommendations and someone recommended Zen Doggy Den, so I decided to give it a try. Benny goes occasionally for daycare and has completed two boarding stays (7 days and 5 days respectively). I cannot say enough good things about Zen Doggy Den. First, it is run by a trainer which is really reassuring. They definitely know what they are doing. They use small play-groups based on size, play style, etc. They have an extra building in the back that they also use. The dogs play in groups of ~10 and have indoor and outdoor space to play. They also rotate the play groups so dogs don't get overtired/overstimulated which can increase the chances of a tiff. They rest in their kennels when they are not playing. The staff is always happy to talk and answer my questions. They are also very honest, which I appreciate. There isn't a ton of dogs like the large commercial facilities, which is nice because they remember him (I think). They don't have cameras but they do have a private Facebook group where they post pictures from the play groups. It has been so nice to see pictures of him playing while we are away. During his first stay, I emailed to ask how he was doing and got a very quick reply. Other times that we had left him with a sitter, he would seem super stressed when we brought him home. Both times we picked him up from Zen Doggy Den he was healthy and happy! They have additional services you can add on such as: treats, grooming (baths/nail trims), and treadmill time. The person who recommended ZDD to me said they have been great with her selective rescue. Benny typically gets along well with other dogs, but even if he didn't, we would still use Zen Doggy Den because of the trainer, smaller play group sizes, and possibility for exercise on the treadmill.
My experience with Zen Doggy Den was absolutely amazing!! I couldn't be happier with the services myself and my puppy Mak received. To start, the owner Julie is fantastic, I was very nervous about leaving Mak in an unknown place and with pretty much strangers but she took the time to email with me and answer all my questions. She was very sweet and very thorough in explaining the process and what Mak's day would look like. It provided so much comfort, I signed him up! Mak attended 3 to 4 days a week and he LOVED it! He made so many friends and would come home tired. Given he is a Lab/Blue Heeler mix this was amazing! He also knew when we pulled into the parking lot where he was and who he was going to see, he would run to the door in so much excitement and greeted everyone with a wiggly butt and lots of licks. Having Mak attend Zen Doggy Den gave him the chance to learn the very important social skills puppies need, while getting lots of play. We saw such a difference in just the first week of him attending. I can't say thank you enough to Zen Doggy Den!! Secondly, Kylea who was the staff that would greet me when I picked up Mak in the afternoon is a rock star! Each time I picked up Mak she would let me know how his day went, recommendations based off how he was doing and took the time to share her experiences with me as she had a similar breed of dog. It was very comforting to know that at Zen they have people working that truly care about the dogs and are willing to take the time to speak to the owners and communicate any concerns or just to share a funny story. Thank you Kylea!! We unfortunately had to rehome Mak due to work demands and living situation but I know Mak will miss Zen SO much and I highly recommend anyone looking for a day care service for your furry family member to go to Zen! You will not be disappointed and most importantly your doggie won't either :) In the future when our family decides adopt another pup we surely will be returning to Zen Doggy Den, Thank you again Zen for all the wonderful experiences you provided Mak and myself!!!! :) :) :) :)
We love Laura and everyone at Rover’s Stay and Play who have always been wonderful with our two dogs. We’ve even moved farther away during the time we’ve used them and always took our dogs to stay there even with a longer drive! They’ve been so amazing with our dogs and also our family as we’ve gotten to know them over the years. Both dogs have sadly passed and our second one just recently (with them taking extra special care of her while she was getting older), but when we get a new dog we will be sure to bring them back!
Leo loves coming here a few times a week for doggie day care and for boarding. Staff at Rover’s are kind and provide safe and loving care. Pup comes home tired and happy.
Laura, Leona, and Bee are fantastic. Kind, caring, fun, thoughtful, and phenomenal service at a great value. I’ve been taking my Ausiedoodle Atlas here for over a year and it’s been wonderful — he gets to play with other dogs as much as possible and it’s his favorite place on earth (even more than home). The owner Laura is a genuinely kind and honest person who loves dogs and is so passionate about what she does.
Our poodle Toby just had his first stay at Rover's and we couldn't be happier! The people there are so nice and clearly love dogs. Toby was able to go outside and play to a much greater extent than at our old border and he clearly was so happy to have been there. He ran back inside when we went to pick him up! On top of that, their prices are amazing. I can't say enough great things about them. I'm so glad we now have a place where we know Toby can have a vacation when we do!
We love Rovers! The owner and staff are so kind and welcoming; they love seeing our dog every time we bring her. They have been very accommodating - for example, we called them a few weeks in advance of when I was due to deliver my baby, because we knew we would need to drop our dog off for a few nights. Not knowing when exactly I would go into labor made me concerned about them having space for our dog. They were so kind, and told us to just bring our dog over when we needed to. I felt so relieved knowing my pup was in good hands while we were in the hospital. They provide food and treats, have always given medications according to dose instructions, and let us leave some comforts from home overnight (chew toy for the kennel). Thanks for making us feel like our dog is a part of your family!
I think this day care would be suitable for larger dogs, but don't bring your smaller dog here. They do not separate large and small dogs. I'm writing this review years after the fact due to the prolonged mental and physical injuries my dog sustained that is affecting him to this day. I dropped him off before work and was called a few hours later to be told that another dog attacked him, but that he was fine. Come to find out, he couldn't walk. He lost all feeling in his back legs and they brought him to the emergency vet. This felt incredibly shady to downplay the situation so drastically. They did cover medical expenses, which was appreciated. Fast forward to now where he's had to have 2 back surgeries at $8k each and is scared of large dogs for life. I can never board him or take him to daycare again due to his reaction to large dogs now.
Our dogs Baloo and Remi absolutely love it here! Be it a few hours or a few days, they come happy healthy and exhausted. Thank you for loving our babies 💞 …
We love Rover stay and play!! They go the extra mile to watch the dogs and ensure their safety. All these negative reviews are unfair as someone’s 2 dogs jumped the fence before they could be stopped. And then Rover’s employees found the dogs and got them back! Good job Rover’s. Our girl is always so happy to come play and see the staff. She loves them dearly and they love her! Lisa- Callie’s mom!
We take out Great Dane here anytime we are out of town. The staff is great, accommodating, and they are so good with our dog!! We love them. Update: I seriously could not say any more positive things about Rover Stay and Play! Our dog was there during the epic snow storm (March 2021) and Laura is so dedicated to the dogs and caring for them, she slept at the facility to ensure the dogs were ok and taken care of. My heart melted when I heard this! I could not be more appreciative of Laura's dedication! Thank you!!!
If you are looking for a place that offers excellent day care and/or wonderful overnight boarding for your pup by a dedicated, caring staff along with reasonable prices compared to those 'chain locations,' you have found it! Laura and the whole crew at Rover's Stay and Play provide truly caring service to our best friends, and they have perfected the human processes over the years with faster check in and out, business hours that are convenient for everyone, and great personalized service. This is the ONLY place I'm comfortable leaving my furry friend! He absolutely LOVES his play time, whether he's just there to play outside for a few hours, or is staying all week while I am away! If you have an elderly dog, or one with anxiety issues, or (like mine!) one who just likes to be the center of attention, you won't believe how comfortable they will be. And that's because they feel completely 'at home' here, surrounded by the same love and care that YOU give them. I can't say it enough... I have found a 'second home' for my dog for LIFE at Rover's Stay and Play!
This dog training crew nailed it with the line of services offered. Anyone who knows me knows I love my dog, quite often more than most people! But one thing I cannot tolerate is a dog that has no manners. Yes, they exist, believe it or not. The line of services offered ranges from in-person, one-on-one, and including the owner in the training as well. However, the service that they offer that many others do not is simple, but essential, an evaluation! Evaluations are crucial to you and your pup. This will inevitably steer you both in the right direction. Dogs of Denver offer an in person or virtual evaluation to explore the best options available for you both. What you may think is the biggest issue with your dog, may very well not be. Take it from me, personally. I went through this. I thought my dog needed to be trained on how to accept visitors in my home. I thought this because she would always go under the bed or under the couch when the doorbell rang. Not the case. She actually needed to be trained on how to allow people into her space. Two totally different issues that I had no idea of! Give Dogs of Denver a chance; for you and your pup! You won’t be disappointed.
Highly recommend the puppy essentials program! 6 sessions for a very reasonable price. We saw big progress during each session and our trainer made sure to address all of our specific concerns by the end of the program. We’re very against choking collars or any kind of training that uses pain and fear. This program is all about positive reinforcement training, and it works! Our sweet golden is so much better behaved now and he does it with a wagging tail and a smile. Thanks guys!
Having a new puppy is intimidating - so much to learn and wanting to do it right made me so overwhelmed. Dogs of Denver is so accommodating and considerate. I have a really complicated schedule and Samantha worked with me to make sure we got all our sessions scheduled. She was always on time and made sure our training sessions were packed full of good stuff that my puppy, Juniper, is now so much better behaved, has such a solid foundation, and seems much happier now that we have better communication and understanding. I definitely recommend this company to anyone interested in not only training their dog(s) but who also want to understand how to better communicate with them too. I feel I have a better foundation as a dog parent, now, too!
Cannot recommend enough! My dog Tate is a rescue and has a lot of anxiety, we tried a few different trainers with no success. After getting some tips and training from Happy Paws, he is so much better behaved out in public, listens to us, and has great manners around the house. Thank you so much for your help!!
Samantha was fantastic in helping us with our new rescue pup, Milo. We did both the One-On-One Essentials and Advanced Course and are very pleased with the skills and progress Milo has been able to learn, now just at a mere 6 months. Samantha was knowledgeable, informative, and helped us focus on specific areas where Milo needed more attention. It was extremely beneficial to have Samantha work with Milo one-on-one and then review the training skills at the end of each session with us. We also loved receiving our weekly email assignment(s), which helped advise us on what to continue focusing on for each week. Milo is still in his puppy stage but we are happy to know he has the skills and ability to flourish as a well trained pup. We plan to continue practicing all his learnings while he continues to mature but will definitely use Dogs of Denver/Samantha again in the future for any additional training needs.
As someone in the animal science field, I’ve seen a lot of relationship dynamics between pets and their owners firsthand. A sad but unfortunate truth that many don't realize is that neglecting to train your pet is choosing to not learn to communicate with them. Obedience training is an especially important step because it lays down your ground rules. This website is great because it has basic online obedience training guides that are essential to a dog’s overall health in cognitive development! Learning basic obedience training aids in developing a healthy relationship and bond between pets and owners by allowing communication and emphasizing trust. These guides break it down step by step to make it easy to understand at an affordable cost. I loved this training guide!
I have had other dog trainers (with other dogs) and this was by far the best experience. From the first contact and all thought the training program, it's been a great experience. Samantha was great and very responsive. She listened to our concerns, frustrations, and difficulties and provided instructions and tips that helped, a lot. I think our little guy, Teddy is going to be the best companion ever.
We used the obedience training and it included such great information! There were a lot of great tips and tricks that are not included in your normal internet searches which I found to be extremely beneficial. I was unaware of a lot of things - specifically when it comes to reinforcement and anxiety that I was able to put to good use with my pup! Most importantly, my pup isn't a good listener. I've been able to put the information to good use and while he's a work in progress, I am seeing the progress. Thank you for all the information in your obedience training 101!
Our trainer Sam was amazing!! My pup Zoe adored her and we both learned so much from her! She provided me with great tips and is very knowledgeable, professional and sweet! Thanks for all the progress made, Sam!!!
An impulsive purchase of my pup was less stressful with the Dogs of Denver training! I took my rambunctious Corgi puppy to the classic obedience training course and I loved the hands-on factor of the course! I got to work with my dog alongside the trainer it was perfect! During the pandemic, an at-home obedience class was so ideal. The six sessions that are an hour each helped us work on specific skills without being too long and tiring my dog out. They truly care about their clients which can be hard to find. The wide range of services they offer can cater to any owner. Once my puppy gets older I will definitely enroll him in their personalized private training, so the trainers can match my dogs' specific goals!
