Once again Dede was the most perfect pup and house sitter you could ever hope to have the pleasure of using. She leaves our home cleaner than we left it and our pups so happy that they continue to search for her after she leaves. Dede handled an emergency situation with a false CO2 alarm which resulted in a visit from the fire department perfectly and we were so grateful! I feel completely comfortable with her in our home and know she is giving our 2 dogs the very best care. Thank you Dede - you truly are the best!

From her promptness to schedule a pre-sit call to her truly thorough tidying of our house, Stella was an amazing housesitter from start to finish!! She read all the info we put together ahead of time, and asked for clarification on just a few things which made us confident that the pup and the house were in good shape :) Stella was really gracious when we admitted to not having a coffee pot, and handling things calmly when there was an incident with street parking. Maybe most importantly though our dog Luke was calm when we came home. I think if future sitters are clear in their expectations around frequency of communication/photos and the dogs needs then Stella is the perfect person to exceed your expectations!

David was a great sitter for our dog! It was just him for this sit. He was very communicative before, during, and after the stay. He visited the apartment before we left to meet our dog and talk with us, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and confident that our dog was in good hands. He sent us updates throughout the stay, and left the apartment in great condition. While our dog is on the older side, he can still be a handful at times, but David didn’t seem to have any problems. Would definitely recommend David for any future sit!

Mikayla was a superb house/dog sitter for us for one full week. She was an excellent communicator, very quiet and tidy (respectful of the space) and best of all she quickly bonded with our big dog Mouse. Jamie was a lifesaver! Our confirmed sitter canceled just greater than 2 weeks out from our trip, and after just a short chat I could tell that she was ideal for our home and dogs. When we had a Covid exposure just before leaving for our trip Jamie didn't miss a beat. We did a hand-off of the dogs and home outdoors to keep her safe. We unfortunately had another exposure just before returning home, so were bummed that we couldn't spend some time with Jamie before she left us. Jamie is dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling. She is an excellent communicator and sent us the cutest pictures of our dogs. We knew Teddy and Bella were in very capable hands while we were away. Jamie left our house very clean and with all the linens washed. She even left a plant and thank you card, so thoughtful! We would love to have Jamie back at any time to sit for us. I give her the highest recommendation!

Jim sat for my extremely shy rescue pup and new kitten for two weeks -- my pup struggles with new people, and is very fearful of men in particular. And yet, Jim was more successful with her than any sitter I've ever had: I can't recommend him highly enough. He has wonderful patience, a calm energy, and is a great communicator. He consistently updated me with photos and videos of my sweet girls enjoying the world with him, taking my dog on hikes and adventures to her favorite streams. He went above and beyond both for her (in meeting her needs and taking the time to get to know her personality), and also in caring for my home. I returned to such a cozy environment, a repaired wood stove, an organized wood pile and an at-peace dog and cat. Choosing Jim as a sitter is ensuring that your pets and home are getting the best of care, and his actions exemplify his kindness, generosity and thought taken in consideration of others. I hope to have him return many times in the future; the experience was a privilege both for myself and my pets.

The two-leggeds and four-legged members of this household give Tess a 5-star rating! We think she's one of the best sitters you will find - highly communicative, friendly, competent, reliable, and great with pets. Tess was also flexible about start and end dates to accomodate possible winter weather complications. For this sit, Tess was able to bring along her mom, Cathy. Tess introduced me to Cathy during one of our Skype conversations prior to the sit. It was a bonus to have her here with Tess. Their travel to Marquette was complicated by weather. A fierce winter storm swept across Michigan just before the sit. It took Tess and Cathy two days to drive here but they arrived, as promised, in time for us to fly out early the next morning. We even had time for a lovely dinner together and to introduce them to the dogs and house. We left the next day and never had a moment's worry while Tess and Cathy were caring for our pets and home. Tess sent us regular updates and photos. The dogs immediately accepted them as great new additions to their pack of friends - even our cranky, old chihuahua, Nike! We returned to happy pets and a spotlessly clean home. We plan to invite Tess (and Cathy if available) to return for future sits. Thank you, Tess and Cathy!

We leave our cat Jewel with Tracey @Twin Peaks Cattery when we go on holidays. Jewel loves the room where she stays and is so relaxed when we drop her off and on pick up. Our kids are reassured that Jewel is well looked after by Tracey when they went to the cattery and seen Jewels behaviour in the cattery and with Tracey. It was so relaxed and like she was at home.Tracey also spends loads of time with the cats under her care daily which is also reassuring. We highly recommend Twin Peaks Cattery to anyone looking for a safe friendly environment to place their cat whilst on holiday.
I only ever go to Tracy. She takes fantastic care of my two cats Simba and willow and goes above and beyond. She understands my attachment to them and she treats them as if they are her own with such love and care. She is absolutely fantastic and an absolute gem to deal with.
To sum up our experience of Traceys' kennel service..I,d simply say theres not near enough in 5 stars above to show our utmost Respect and Appreciatian for Everything both Tracey and Dave did to look after our Dog Spot during his stay with them.Tracey picked up from our very first conversation I was a bit nervous about leaving Spot into a kennel service...we were only gone on holidays a few hours when I received the first of daily lovely videos showing Spot living his best life being utterly spoilt rotten and getting the best of care and attention from Tracey, Dave and family...we are actually of the opinion Spot was on a holidays blues when we brought him home..We Genuinely think he was on a bit of a downer missing Tracey and family...folks take it from a Person that would,nt leave my Dog with Anybody..if you want peace of mind and confidence in knowing yours will be taken care of to the very best with genuine love and care....Give Tracey a call...I did, Spots going back for a lavishing holiday with Tracey and Dave in September again.Best regards Jamie,Trish,Demi and Spot🐶
Bart has stayed with Tracey twice now in Twin Peaks and would I recommend… Absolutely. Your cat will have plenty of toys to entertain themselves with, that’s when they are not sitting on a hammock watching TV . Each cat is adored whilst in Tracey’s care and totally cared for. Photos and videos sent to pining cat Mom’s, who are drowning in self inflicted guilt. No need, cat is on his own Holidays 🥰 Bart is awaiting his next trip over to Twin Peaks
Tracey is a fabulous lady and looks after my pet cat Rizzo so well whenever I am away. Rizzo is very sensitive and hates going out of her comfort zone, but Tracey always goes out of her way to calm her and make her feel safe and comfortable. She is so kind and caring and it's obvious that she adores animals. She even sends pictures of your pet to put your mind at ease. She has plenty of toys to keep pets entertained and also plays with pets herself! I would highly recommend sending your pet to stay at Twin Peaks. Thanks Tracey!! 😊
What a wonderful place to board your cat or dog. Tracey has looking after my pet dog, Portia, for a number of years now and treated her like a princess every time, caring, loving and has taken her at short notice, with long walks. I would highly recommend Twin Peaks, a best kept secret in Laois. I would not leave my pet dog anywhere else.
I always leave my two Rottweilers with Tracy. They are alway well looked after and very happy to go back. Tracy also sent me videos of them out playing in the many fields and out on walks. I 100% would recommend Twin Peaks. My daughter and niece also drives from Dublin to Portlaoise for Tracy to mind their pur babies.
I have 3 cats and I would never consider putting them anywhere but here. A real sign to me as to how well my cats are treated is that they dont want to come home with me and when I do manage to get them home they settle right back in, I know then that they have been well looked after while Im away. I trust that twin peaks looks after my fur babies as well as I do and that is saying something as I may have them a little spoilt. As you can see from the photos they are very relaxed there.

Great kennels. Left one of our girls there for a few nights. Deborah & team were great with her, sent video updates and she came back happy, healthy and with a bit more swagger / confidence. Can't recommend highly enough.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Deborah a few weeks ago when we left our dog Alfie with her for a few day's. He was so well minded i don't think he wanted to come home! She was great with him considering he's an older dog and went above and beyond in caring for him. He even made some doggy friends whilst there. Drop off and pick up were effortless and communication throughout was excellent. I would 100% recommend Blue Shepard boarding kennels and Alfie will be back soon. Suzanne.
An absolute top class well run professional reliable business, is how I would describe Blue Shepherd boarding kennels. The owner Deborah went above and beyond for our little pooch Ben.. And I feel totally at ease leaving Ben with Deborah for any amount of time that we're away. Ben has been at Blue Shepherd on numerous occasions to date, and is due another stay with Deborah very shortly again, and I would highly recommend anyone to consider leaving their little pooch at Blue Shepherd if it's peace of mind you want, knowing that your little pride and joy will be in the best hands possible...and safe and happy. What an awesome boarding kennels. My dog likes it so much he's always depressed coming home. Very clean kennels, and the team are always going above and beyond to look after the dogs as well as possible. Very flexible around timings and always a pleasure to deal with. Great fields to let the dogs run around in. It's such a relief to be able to drop the dog off somewhere you know he's going to be looked after as well as he is at home and to not have to worry about it at all.
I would highly recommend this business to anyone.The owners are just so amazing it was our dogs first time away from home and us,but this lady made us feel great to leave out pouch for a few nites lots of room for walks we were shown around its such a well run dog kennels the dogs are so well looked after. We recieved pictures and videos my daughter was delighted to get to see her dog while away. Amazing place and owners thank u so much for taking such great care of our pouch while we were away.
I was super anxious leaving Scott behind for the first time. Deborah not just looked after him but managed my own separation anxiety as well haha I can see that he had a great time during his staycation. I couldn’t recommend these guys more. Brilliant job! I send my pupper to day care and she runs in wagging her tail happy to be around the other dogs and people. When she's collected she's happy to come home and nap. They are lovely people very easy to talk to and treat the dog like one of their own.
My boy enjoys visit her friends and he loves Sarah! Such peace of mind, knowing he is cared for when he visits.

A friend recommended Tanya to me for minding our 2+ year old Schnauzer boy. Although it’s always daunting leaving your pets in the care of other people, I felt comfortable leaving our boy in Tanya’s care from the start. We did a trial sleep over and it was evident he settled in quickly and had an enjoyable time. Tanya and her family is very experienced with dogs and clearly have a passion for animals. Our boy was safe, treated as their own and well cared for. We had absolute peace of mind leaving Cooper with Tanya for 2 weeks, it was a long time and not so easy, but he was in excellent care. She regularly shared videos, photos and texts. He had daily walks, and even had the luxury of picking a soft toy for himself to play with from her kid’s room. I would without a doubt recommend Tanya!

This place is amazing, has everything your dog needs to be feeling at home. We left our dog ‘Adelaide’ there for 9 days and she was very happy there. Tina is amazing and knows how to deal with dogs better than anyone, she even sent some videos and pics of our dog playing around, we really appreciated that. We will for sure leave our dog again and again

I really want to thanks Tina in Home Away Kennels for looking after our 2 dogs over the extended Bank Holiday. It was easy to see that the dogs loved it there! Russo didn't want to leave! The space in the kennels and outside is brilliant and very secure. Tina didn't mind that I rang a few times to check on them while we were away - we were a bit nervous leaving them - we hadn't done it before. But now it won't be a problem, I've already booked them in for the Summer. Highly recommended. Amanda.
Just a little note on homeawaykennels.ie, if you're looking for somewhere that your fur baby can stay, that they are relaxed and you are not filled with anxiety, I would very much recommend giving Tina a call. The kennels are spacious, with lovely space outside & each dog really is looked after individually. It is such a weight off your shoulders, knowing you can go away in confidence & enjoy yourself and know your dog is doing the same. Absolutely delighted with this service & the fact that they are now doing daycare is just so handy, no need to feel guilty not finding time for walks nd playtime when your schedule is very busy.. just call Tina. I know we will be regular visitors now.

Have been to loads of other kennels with our dogs over the years, but have never had our animals as happy to stay somewhere else, as they are with Denise here. I know my dog is well looked after and happy in this home away from home! Best Kennel in Laois.

I would highly recommend Pet Sitters Ireland to anyone looking for Pet Care. You can enjoy your holiday knowing your pets are happy and well looked after in their own home, i much prefer this option over boarding kennels. We have used Pet Sitters for a number of years, they give fantastic care and attention to our 2 cats and 2 dogs. Mike goes above and beyond to make sure they are cared for. And this year Aine did a great job looking after them all. My two girls love the photo updates received daily and get very excited to see how their pets are getting on while we are away.
I used Pet Sitters Ireland for the first time last weekend and I can not recommend them enough. Firstly great communication from Mike regarding the arrangements for the pet sitters visit. I was away for 5 days and the pet sitter who minded my dog was amazing and it was very clear she has a great love of all animals which really put my mind at ease. We utilized the pet sitting services of Pet Sitters of Ireland for over a year when in Dublin and were extremely satisfied with the care and compassion they showed to our 13 year old Ziggy. Mike the owner, took the time to explain their services and instill a sense of trust with his company. He also called several times when we had to switch from our regular sitter and insured that we would be happy with the new sitter. When we did use the services, we got nothing but compliments from others that had seen a Pet sitters employee with our Ziggy and the care that they were showing him. That is such a good feeling to know you are leaving your family member with someone who truly cares about your pet. We used Pet Sitters for our wedding and can’t recommend them highly enough. Mike was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Communication was great at all times in the lead up to the wedding day and on the day itself. We were very reassured our dog would be in good hands and this certainly transpired. Mike was fantastic on the wedding day itself. He met our dog early in the morning before transporting him to the venue, where he was looked after him before returning him to our regular dog minder. We drive down from Dublin to drop our dog to happy campers. He has been staying there for 6 years now and we would not consider leaving him anywhere else. Having used some other kennels prior to happy campers, there is just no comparison. Real animal lovers and our dog comes back to us in great form and condition.
Bilko has been going there for years and absolutely loves it. He is so well looked after and the level kindness is beyond all expectations. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Ash Tree is a wonderful boarding kennels which I have used many times. My two dogs are always happy there and seem to enjoy their holidays at Ash Tree. They are treated as part of a family by the staff at Ash Tree, who have amazing animal husbandry skills. I rate Ash Tree very highly as a boarding kennels as the staff are highly committed and the environment is wonderful.
My little dogs loved staying here. Can not recommend it enough. Such peace of mind when going away. They came out wrecked from all the fun they had.
If choosing to use these kennels, please be aware that they will give you no flexibility regarding collection times.i had quite a stressful last day of my holiday, when i ran into an unexpected delay of only two hours. Because i knew i wouldnt make collection by 6pm, (it would have been closer to8pm) i arranged a family member to collect my dog earlier that day at 1pm, I also offered 12.15 pm. Despite my apologising and explaining, there was no way kennels would accomodate this. It would have to be the following day, which was a Sunday and only between 4-5 pm, and there would be a 20 euro charge for the extra night. This didn't suit as we were away the following day. In the end i had to get my elderly mother who has poor mobility to collect the dog at the original time, kennel owner was aware of this, but seemed to see no problem. i honestly am very disappointed in the lack of flexibility in accomodaing customers when exceptional circumstances arise. It is hardly a very "open door" policy, when you cant even get in to take your own pet home. Its also quite expensive at 20 euro per night, and please be aware , if you drop off in the morning slot, 9-11 and collect in the afternoon 3-6, youll be charged for an extra day of "doggy day care" at 10 euro, something which is not clearly highlighted
I had high expectations for my first time boarding my dogs in this kennels. A day or so before collecting my two dogs i received a message from the kennels saying that my two dogs had gotten into "a nasty scrap" . Later i found out the fight was almost instigated by the employee as they were ignoring my written and verbal instructions to refrain from feeding my dogs with bowls as bowls cause issues with possessiveness and dominance with our dogs. Im not surprised they got into a "nasty scrap" when they were filling water bowls now because the employees had lead the dogs to belive bowls = food when ive tried so had to train them to not act like that around food. I felt so guilty that my dogs were misbehaving when in reality it was pure ignorance from the employees. Not to mention when we collected our dogs and picked up the remainder of the dog food the bag was labelled "Bobby and Teddy" when my dog is called Dobby? so disappointed and annoyed by the ignorance of this kennels.
Just collected holly from her second weekend at Happy Campers ,brilliant service, lovely professional staff . She even got a present of a Christmas teddy !!! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough Margaret donohue

We use the daycare service and to say our dog loves it is an understatement. Willo wags and jumps with excitement on arrival and is exhausted on return home.
I was there with my dog for a trial. I couldn't see the place, they told me because it's not good for dogs. If your dog is big I don't recommend this place, they don't want them.

We’ve been using Abbeyleix Boarding Kennels for over 3 years now. Eugene has been nothing but kind to our dog Mylo and is very knowledgeable. We never worry sending Mylo to him. Eugene has a great love for animals and it really shows in how well Mylo is looked after when he’s there. It’s always a joy getting updates on Mylos adventures and it really puts my mind at ease.
I had my two spaniels boarded for a week this summer. It was fantastic to receive message and video updates from Eugene letting me know the girls were behaving themselves and having a blast on their daily walks. I couldn't recommend Eugene and Abbeylix boarding kennel more 🐾 …
I've used a few kennels in Ireland and the United Kingdom when I lived there. I always would have said the English kennels I used were better than the Irish kennels but after using Abbeyleix Kennels I've now found the best Dog hotel in Ireland In my opinion. Eugene and his dedicated team of staff took my Yorkie and sent me what's app pictures and videos of him exercising that I could show to my wife and that made her very happy because she doesn't like leaving him anywhere. The place is modern and spotless and I am a very happy customer. If you care for your animals and you want equal care whilst on holiday make Abbeyleix Boarding kennels your pets home from home. I drove from County Kildare to County Laois and it was worth every kilometre.
Spotless. Lovely kennels. Loads of space. Left my 3 in there as our usual kennel was full. Dogs were very happy and so relaxed when I came to collect them. Very relaxed atmosphere on arrival which rubbed off the dogs felt very confident leaving them here . Will be back again. Thanks Eugene and co also lovely to get a video update during their stay.

Sirius (my greyhound) loves coming here. Eugene (the owner) takes great care of him. He trains greyhounds so he is in greyt hands- pun intended. Eugene gets Sirius to go on the Gallop for zoomies and gives regular updates with photos & videos- so you know your dog is in safe hands. Kennels are clean and have heating lamps at night (see the picture attached). We are happy customers (dog and owner). We will definitely be back again whether it’s the night overs or doggy daycare
Great kennels. Left my dog there for the first time in a kennel and eugene made me feel very relaxed about it all. Even sent a video so we could see how our dog was getting on. Highly recommend this place.
Highly recommend this kennels and service. Eugene is a lovely man and your pets will be well cared for in a safe and secure location. Eugene sent me a text and video of our Lily while we were away and she was in great form when we collected her. No stress at all she obviously enjoyed her stay there. I will definitely avabil of the services of this kennels again.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently boarded our Labradors Rio and Ruby, at Eugene’s kennel and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Eugene, the owner, is incredibly attentive and genuinely cares for the animals in his care. The facilities are top-notch - clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Rio and Ruby came back happy and healthy, which says a lot about the level of care they received. We left our two dogs here for one week. It's the first time we used this kennel and without a doubt will use again in the future for our next trip. We also booked the dogs in for one day prior to our trip to introduce them to this new place which was a great idea. Couldn't recommend Eugene enough. He very obviously cares about the dogs. The kennels were very clean and all the dogs there looked relaxed and happy. There's plenty of outside space also. We even got a video of our dogs playing during the week which was fantastic! Cared for our dog incredibly well and we never had a bad word to say about that aspect of their service. Found their drop off / collection times incredibly inflexible times in the morning between 10-11am and in the evening between 5-5:30pm only. For a working person it was almost impossible to get them there in their time frame and I found we ended up paying for an extra night when it wasn’t necessary. Also after traveling across the country and paying a couple hundred of euro to have our dog looked after I was 15-20 minutes late for their 5-30 cut off and I got a ear full from the owner which just put a massive downer on the fact that they do care for dogs incredibly well. Would also say their capacity is very limited and unless you book well in advance it’s almost impossible to get them in so you end up having to look for an alternative kennels anyway so found it unreliable for anyone who had a short notice trip.
My 2 girls stayed here for 4 nights, they love it and are looked after very well. Sandra and paraic are very good with the dogs, couldn't recommend highly enough

We gave used Fern's on and off for years. This really is a 5* facility. We have smaller dogs and they stay in a small house called The School House. The dogs are kept in pens and not cages. The house even has heating and a TV. Sandra is absolutely lovely and we feel 1000% happy leaving the dogs in her care

Excellent.. Sandra and her Team are expert dog carers and from the moment you meet them you feel confident if the fact that your pooch will be well looked after and cared for to the highest standard. They even had a birthday party for her...I'm always afraid when I arrive back to pick her up up she wont want to com home! Couldn't recoment them highly enough.
This place is wonderful for dogs. My 2 collies are very anxious dogs but Sandra and Paraic made them feel so relaxed and comfortable. it made me feel happy and safe leaving them with them. Its like a second home for them. Both Sandra and Paraic are lovely, warm and gentle owners and very dedicated. Im so happy i found this place.Highly recommended to all!
My girls Cleo and Jess stayed with Sandra and family last week . This was their first holiday stay . They absolutely loved it . Saw videos every day of them having a ball . I can’t thank Fern enough for looking after my girls as if they were their own .
