We have just returned from a 16 night holiday and our beloved dog has also had a wonderful holiday with his hosts, Sue & Nick from Barking Mad. The hosts and team at Barking Mad go the extra mile to ensure your dog feels safe, comfortable and happy whilst you are away. We recieve regular photos & updates whilst away and on return we see he is happy, relaxed and excited to see us despite being spoilt with lots of cuddles, great walks and treats. We've just welcomed Stanley home after another holiday with a host organised by Barking Mad. Stan had a fantastic time, he was so chilled when he came home and we were reassured and confident the whole time we were away, thanks to regular updates and photos letting us know how Stanley was doing. We have been so delighted with our experience of Barking Mad Northumberland. They are so professional, kind and reassuring. Our dogs have had a lovely little holiday and we were kept informed of how they were doing really frequently which was so good for nervous dog parents! We were recommended Barking Mad by a friend and fellow dog lover. The service they provide is superb. Caroline took detailed information about Molly, her character, loves and daily routine. She was then able to match her with an appropriate host. The care and love provided by her host was over and above what we expected, we received regular pup dates and photos and returned happy and settled. Barking Mad Northumberland is like a breath of fresh air. They look after all of you and your dogs requirements and really understand what matters to an owner. We trust them completely with our dog Buddy, and he’s always thrilled when they come to collect him for his holiday. Love the daily updates, love the in depth feedback when he comes back. Excellent hosts, and such a relief knowing he’s going to caring lovely hosts. Caroline and Barbara are both professional, informative, knowledgeable and really trust worthy - exactly the type of people you can trust to make sure your pooch gets the very best care.

Another great experience with Barking Mad (Northumberland). Barbara and Caroline provide a first class, friendly service. From the initial enquiry, right through to the collection & return of our Labrador, communication was excellent. They managed to pair a great host couple with our young and energetic lad, ensuring he got the experience he would enjoy. Plenty of walks, new experiences, and fuss & cuddles. Enough updates & pictures to show he was settled & having fun, but not too many that it was a chore for them to keep us informed. No dramas, he was happy to get in the van and be on his way, and happy to be home a few days later, albeit somewhat exhausted from his adventures.

This was the first time our Border Terrier Ramsay had been on holiday since we lost his older brother. As always Barbara and Caroline were totally supportive of the situation and made sure to find Ramsay a host that he would be comfortable with. The care and attention was superb and Ramsay had a wonderful time. It is such a relief to be able to go on holiday and know your dog is so well looked after. Would 100% recommend.

Absolutely first class from the pick up yo the drop off. Wouldn't use anyone else! We love to visit the States for up to a month and need to know our boys are happy and well cared for otherwise we wouldn't enjoy our holiday. No worries with Barking Mad as their every need is met. Well done girls

Lady had a great time at the doggy day care centre. It was her first time in day care and absolutely loved it. She settled in straight away and was lovely seeing videos of her throughout the day on the social media pages. She loved it that much that when we went to pick her up they had to carry her as she refused to leave. I would highly recommend and was great that we could leave her for the day, safe in the knowledge she was having fun too, while we got to explore the castle and gardens on our holiday. If I lived closer I would make it a regular thing as she really enjoyed it and made some new friends too.

Fabulous welcome and reassuring staff. We left our Cocker Spaniel for the day whilst on holiday so we could enjoy the Alnwick Gardens/Castle. Received a text mid way through the day to say Theo had settled and was having fun. I would highly recommend The Doggy Day Care centre.

Fantastic day care, would highly recommend. Our little dog is very nervous of people and other dogs, just 17 months old. Pets at home recommended The doggy day care to help with her confidence. We were very happy with the care they gave to our Ezra, she had lots of cuddles and started coming out of her shell throughout the day. We were kept updated with a reassuring text and pictures on Instagram. We will be taking her back, and really think it is going to help her be more comfortable with new people and build her confidence. 5 out of 5 from Ezra! 🐾💗

Needed a safe space for my cockapoo to play while I went into town and did boring non doggy friendly activities. Registration online was very straightforward. Drop off was easy and despite it being my dog’s first time, staff welcomed him like an old friend. I received text updates which was very reassuring and also viewed video clips of him making new friends on Facebook. At the end of his session I collected a very happy, if a little tired, doggy. I would have no hesitation in leaving him here again. First rate service!

The first impression that I got was of the dogs arriving at Alnwick Doggy Day Care all excited to get in and start having fun. I love that you get video and photo updates throughout the day, I'm always on the lookout for what Durin is getting up to, he has a lot of fun socialising and getting attention. I would highly recommend the centre to any dog owner its wonderful to know your dog is having fun at times when you can not be with them. Just want to add that Durin is a former Greek stray and a little nervous of new situations but he loves it there.

What a wonderful place for dogs to go wild !!!! Milo our cocker spaniel has been going to this fabulous fun friendly doggy play centre since April....... We needed their professional help at very short notice due to our house renovation at the time. Such a lovely daycare. My daschund goes weekly and loves going, he is so excited every time I take him. The staff are lovely and take really good care of all the dogs in their care. Party organised whenever there is a birthday. Highly recommend

Our Spanish Water Dog loves her time with the fabulous team in Alnwick. They are so caring, intuitive and fun for her. Roobarb is a nervous dog, cautious of new people, and the staff there are incredibly in tune with that. Well done everyone in all the love and care you share. Thank you.

Our puppy had a fabulous time at Doggy Daycare. We were on holiday in the area and needed day care for our puppy who we couldn’t take to Alnwick gardens for the day. We called the Centre and they were so friendly and helpful, getting our dog registered and welcoming her for the day. We got lots of texts and photos to show she was happy and they did lots of fun and engaging activities with her. We’ll definitely use the service again

We used The Doggy Daycare whilst us humans visited Alnwick castle and gardens for the afternoon on our holidays. Dolly was welcomed warmly and went in tail wagging. The staff we met were lovely and professional and sent me a text to let me know she had settled. This was great as Dolly has never been to daycare before. I can honestly say… I wish we lived nearby as I would happily let Dolly come all the time. Amazing place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Although Dolly couldn’t tell me all about it… she didn’t leave her bed the rest of the evening!! One very happy sleepy pooch! Thank you - we’ll be back!

Will is such a kind & genuine person, I felt completely at ease when he was taking care of my two fur babies 🐶🐶 he let me know every day how they were & sent vids/pics. I Had no worries at all when he was there, so glad I found him for Sheldon & Tilly 🙂 xX🐾🐾 …

We left our dog Rosie in the very capable hands of Debs for 12 days and could not be happier or felt she was in safer hands. Debs treated rosie as her own and you can tell how much she loves all the dogs she takes care of. Rosie made a lovely bond with Debs and all the dogs, but especially with her puppy which was lovely to see. Debs kept me updated daily with photos and videos and it looks like Rosie had the time of her life, we were slightly worried she wouldn't want to leave! We would highly recommend Debs to anyone who asked and will use her services again in a heartbeat.

Well what can we say, Deb's has been amazing with our Barney! Her home boarding service is brilliant! We wouldn't trust anyone else with our dog. Her expertise and knowledge is phenomenal and we know Barney is safe in her care. Barney had a wonderful stay so much so he would of happily stayed with her! It is definitely a home from home service and nothing is a bother for Deb's she is very accommodating. We really loved all the photos and videos we received of Barney whilst he was there and it warmed our hearts seeing how happy and settled he was and also how much love, care and fuss he recieved it blew us away! We can't recommend Deb's enough! Barney had an amazing time and he can't wait to stay again! Thanks again for treating Barney like one of your own, he's made a friend for life ❤️🐶🐾

Our precious Hugo went to the wonderful girls at Woof Around The Clock for his first holiday whilst we went abroad. We were nervous to leave him to say the least but we absolutely need not have worried at all. From the first visit before the stay, we were put completely at ease. Debs and Neeley asked lots of questions so they could get to know all about Hugo, his needs, likes and dislikes and how best to care for him. It was abundantly clear that their love of dogs is so strong, and nothing we asked of them was too much trouble. We got regular updates and photos and Hugo has a fantastic time and it was plain to see how well cared for he had been as well as the adventures he had been on. It’s with no hesitation that I wholeheartedly recommend Woof Around The Clock to anyone who is looking for a holiday home for their dog. I wouldn’t allow Hugo to go any where else now, I trust them implicitly and I’m just so pleased we found them.

I couldn’t recommend Woof Around the Clock enough! They are fantastic! My two dogs love going to stay and I have the added bonus of not worrying about them when they do. Lots of pictures or video updates keep me happy. Debs and Neels love our dogs as their own and have created such a special bond. We have used them for pick up walks, all day stays and as boarding for holidays. 👍🏻👍🏻

Toby absolutely loves his walks with Debbs and looks forward to her calling to collect him. We can't thank her and her dogs for helping to keep him company while we are at work, socialising him with other dogs and altoghter just being great. Mabel has just returned from a 2 week holiday with Woof around the clock .she was looked after as if she was one of their own .treated with lots of love and attention .we had daily photos and videos showing her adventures. We couldn't recommend Woof Around the Clock enough! They have both been fantastic with Rorie, we can go to work or away for a couple of nights and we're not worried at all and know she's having the best time! Rorie is quite a bouncy dog, they have been great reinforcing basic training as well as practicing more advanced training. They are reliable, flexible and professional. They've been a massive help through a change of circumstances and after her operation, they really do treat her like one of their own! Rorie loves going and comes back absolutely knackered which is always a bonus! X

What an incredible couple to look after your dogs whilst you are away. Debs and Neels walk our 2 dogs every week and board them when we need to go away without them. The true testament to how good they are is how much our dogs love them and how excited they are to see debs every single week. Our dogs are our babies and we wouldnt leave them with just anyone. Knowing these guys are on hand to step in and love them like their own when we arent here is just invaluable

I would definitely recommend woof around the clock. My cockapoo Charlie has been with these two girls for months now he has a dog walk twice a week and now is getting some one to one training with debs because he is very livley to say the least. He has also home boarded with them aswell which he loved because it’s just like home from home. You get regular updates, photo’s and videos which is very reassuring. Nothing is to much trouble for them they have helped me immensely with Charlie giving lots of advice and tips. I can’t thank them enough so if your looking for any of there services you will not go wrong. Thank you girls and must not forget Charlie adores you both 🐶🐶🐶🐶😊😊😊😊

Left our two 5 month old ‘Springadors’ with Woof Around The Clock for 8 nights. As it was the first time leaving them we were worried, however there was absolutely no need! We were sent loads of messages, videos and photos of the pups as well as being able to see their adventures with the gang on the Facebook page. We will definitely be booking the dogs in again in the future, it is home from home boarding at its best!

I cannot rate Arlene highly enough for anyone looking for a safe, reliable home from home environment for their dogs when going away. I have 3 sausage dogs - all very different personalities, and they love staying with Arlene, and her pooch Walt. I get messages and photos of updates and what they’ve been doing. I have used Arlene for coming up 5 years - weekends away up to 3 weeks vacation, and wouldn’t put my pups anywhere else. I feel comfortable knowing that they are well loved and can enjoy the outdoor space at their leisure, as it’s all secure and they literally have the run of Arlene’s home and garden to use as they please. Routines are followed, as are my requirements to crate overnight. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I have boarded my dogs with Mike and Arlene for several years. My experience has always been a positive one and I have absolute confidence in Spotti Dog. My retriever is always happy to be dropped off and enjoys her holidays in Netherwitton. I know I can relax whilst away knowing she is in safe hands.

I found Arlene and Mike pre-covid just after my move up to Northumberland, and I would not send my two Norfolk terriers anywhere else. I have used their services a dozen times now for both day boarding and extended periods whilst away on holiday. Both dogs love going over to visit, mix very well with Walt their cockapoo, and always hate leaving when its time to go. If you are looking for a home-from-home dog boarding experience, somewhere safe and comfortable which will give you piece of mind, then I strongly recommend you pay them a visit.

We have boarded Kimba with Arlene and Mike for many years it is home from home Kimba loves to go she jumps out of the car and runs straight into the house . I would recommend anyone to use them for boarding there dogs while on holiday and have recommend them to many people who have also been extremely happy when leaving there dogs with Arlene and Mike

We were delighted when we found Arlene and Mike to look after our Border Terrier and provide a home environment for her to stay in. She has benefited from socialising with other dogs and loves their dog Walt.

Bad experience. Left our German Pointer and Springer for 11 days, they weren’t taken out for a walk once. German Pointer came back underweight, stressed out and depressed. I could feel her ribs so she clearly hadn’t been eating properly. When I raised my concerns with the business owner she dismissed them and reverted with unfair comments, including an allegation that my dogs are “intimidating” to other dogs about their food. This is completely normal animal behaviour to defend food, especially when they are not being fed enough! The failure to exercise the dogs properly is a dereliction of responsibility in my view especially when the boarding rates are at the higher end of the scale.

Mike was great with Izzy and she was really at home whilst we were away which allowed us to enjoy our trip without worrying about her! Mike gave us regular pupdates and was always helpful and friendly! Izzy will definitely be back to see him again soon

A great traditional boarding kennels, Charlie my Westie has been staying here regularly since he was a pup. He's now 8 years old and we have never had a problem with the service we received from Kind Care. 😁👍 …

I used this place for my cat a few years ago and havent taken her back since. Awful vibe from staff and just in general. cattery next to kennels so she was really stressed. When I picked her up and I asked how she was, barely got a response. Things might have changed but would never go back.

We left our 2 miniature dachshunds here for 2 weeks in May. We provided our own food rather than use the kennels. We called regularly to check in and see how they were and we were told fine every time even on the penultimate day. Our youngest was so thin when he came home his ribs and spine were visible. I called to explain how unhappy and shocked I was and was told that they fed him the amount of food we had said and that she was sorry they hadn’t noticed. I asked why no one called us when he started to lose weight and ask if we wanted to increase his food and again was told that they didn’t notice his weight loss. His weight loss was VERY noticeable. The picture is the following day after he was collected. He had been to the vet 2 weeks prior for his kennel cough jab and told he was a healthy weight. We will never be using again.

Always board my cats at kind care it's clean and the surroundings are lovely.mr kyle is always ready to help I wouldn't take my precious cats anywhere else .

The kennels are in beautiful surroundings. They walk dogs on large field near to kennels. Seems like good value. I've never seen the kennels themselves, so I can not review but feels professional enough. You need to make sure your dog is vaccinated and up to date with kennel cough treatment

We have used this cattery for over 16 years , the actual care plus housing for pets is very good . The cattery pens have heated bedrooms , the actual location is beautiful.

Lovely kennels to leave your furry family members, our dogs loved it there. They were looked after so well I would have no hesitation in recommending these kennels. The people there and the care given was first class we will be taking our dogs there again.

My two staff's stayed there for 10 days in june and when we got back I was met with two very happy dogs with waggy tails.

The owners are very polite and friendly, they have been taken great care of my Bull X Greyhound for several weeks now charging what i would say is a very reasonable price. I highly rate Kind Care, someone recommended this kennels to me and I would strongly recommend to anyone needing to board their dog or cat. Owned by an ex vet, positive about animals and very professional.

Fenton ALWAYS loves going to Pattersons Kennels. He has so many pals to play with and always comes back super exhausted.

Great place. They really look after all the dogs that find their way there.

We were disappointed in this kennels. We had to leave our two dogs urgently as we had a funeral to attend. We were concerned as it was pretty cold when we left them and they are not used to kennels. We took their coats but it was obvious that they had not been used. We took their own beds and they came back filthy and had to go straight in the wash as did their blankets. It was as though they had never been towelled dry if they got wet or muddy. To be fair our dogs did not seem overly stressed when we picked them up but they were very very thirsty as though they had forgotten to fill their water dishes. We had tried to phone a few times when we were away to see if they had settled but could never get through although after I had left a few messages they did ring me back. We arrived to pick them up at 1.00pm but she admitted that they had not yet been out and she had been just about to take them when we arrived. I don't think that is good enough and we would not use them again.

We were on holiday and wanted to go to the Farne Ialands, so we booked our two dogs into Baseys. We were a little apprehensive until we met the owner who was friendly and the dogs were happy to go with her and not give us a backward glance! They had an amazing day with such kind, caring staff. Two days later they went back to be groomed. Their tails were wagging and they pulled on their leads to go in. I think that says it all. They look beautiful ! Thankyou.

Horrendous, first kennels my dog did not want to go with owners and if I hadn't pre booked and paid in advance would have took her elsewhere. One in particular not that friendly.Both times dog did not want To go with the woman. Came back stinking every time and never give u any food back and I always give more than she would eat. Couqetdale amazing kennels been couple times when Basseys were full never once had this problem will be keeping her there in future like said if not pre paid wouldn't I have gone back.Goes willingly and happily and comes back not smelling and with her left over food couqetdale all the way.They even let you go see kennel which are sparkling and much cheaper.

My dog loves it. He has neurological issues and stress can lead to issues but he hasn't had any trouble. Such a relief. Excerised, fed and loved - perfect.

It's like an occasional holiday for our black lab, goes willingly and comes back as relaxed as it's possible for a dog to be, also handy to have the dog washed and nails trimmed while there!

Cant thank baseys enough had my 2 german shepherds in last year, the only place i could find that Would actually take my dogs and again this year, short notice took them again they came back smelling lovely and managed to keep them another night as our ferry was delayed

Regardless of whether the dogs are boarders or rescued ones waiting for a new home they all receive the same excellent service from Sue and staff

Terrible customer service don't respond to your emails product I ordered is nothing like the pictures on their website and is unsuitable for a dog ! Have raised an issue with pay Pal as they won't respond to my DM.

Best around, fantastic with my little jack russell marshall. Really cares about the dogs, has a propper van with cages so the dogs are safe in transit. Also recently qualified lvl 3 city and guilds and ICMG groomer so thats fantastic for getting marshall groomed after his walks.
