We go away quite a lot on short breaks and knowing my beloved fluffy boy Beau is loved, cuddled and cared for is very important to me as it gives me peace of mind. Holly and Kate visit Beau and have immediately got a bond with him, they take time to talk to him, cuddle him and sit with him and not just feed him. Beau is a rescue cat from Egypt, is nervous and doesn't trust easily but almost straight away the trust was there. I will be moving all my cat care over to We love Pets Canterbury from now on. I initially got in touch with We Love Pets when looking for a company to look after my two pugs Hudson and Nina on my wedding day. Holly came over to meet them and go into detail on their personalities and needs to match them with the right walker. WLP are very accommodating and were happy to tailor a care package to what we needed for our day. They went out on a weekly walk with Lauren so the pugs could get to know her and on the day she was amazing. She picked them up from our home and brought them to the wedding, ensuring that they were well looked after and was great with guests coming to say hello to the dogs. Nina is quite nervous so if Lauren felt anything was too much she took them to a quieter shady area. She was on hand when we wanted them in photos, keeping them entertained with treats and making sure they had plenty of water. We only wanted them there until the meal started so it wasn't too much, so Lauren took them home again where her and Holly stayed with them for the evening and gave them lots of cuddles, fed them their dinner and took them for another walk. We have continued to use We Love Pets for a weekly walk and they have recently been going out with walker Brynn who is lovely and they have even made a new frenchie friend! Hudson and Nina love their walks and it's been a peace of mind knowing they are going out and being well looked after when we're not home and I love receiving the photo updates! Holly & Kate at We Love Pets Canterbury are brilliant. They have our dog once a week and she’s a lively cocker spaniel - they walk her, give her lots of love and she loves spending time with them. A safe pair of hands! Holly was extremely thorough in her prep for having our dog for a few hours. She also kept me updated through the evening with a couple of videos so that I could see he was relaxed and fine. Thoroughly recommend!

Recommended for cats too! We were nervous about leaving our shy rescue cats for a week, but knew they would be stressed going to a cattery. We Love Pets Canterbury turned out to be the perfect solution. We had 2 pre-holiday visits from Kate & Jess to meet the cats, find out their likes, personalities and needs. The visits included play & fuss time as well as basic care, and they also moved curtains, turned lights on & off and put the bins out for us, so the house didn't look empty. The cats were very happy when we got back. We received updates & photos from the visits and it probably cost less than putting 3 cats in cattery.

We couldn’t recommend ‘We Love Pets, Canterbury’ highly enough. The service is friendly, professional, and tailored to your individual needs and crucially, that of your pet’s. Kate pays such attention to detail, when it comes to your pet’s care and routines. She really listens and is obviously an ‘animal person’, through and through. Holly, Kate & team did a fantastic job walking our labrador every day while we were on holidays. They provided a very reliable, professional and friendly service and we immediately felt like our dog would be in good hands! We particularly liked the fact it's small group walking only. They also took the time for an initial meeting to find out more about our dog and to really make sure he has a good experience during his walks and gets matched up with other suitable walking companions. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, our dog was very excited and LOVED to meet them for his walks everyday, so we know he had a great time too. We would absolutely recommend Holly & Kate and we will use them again when we are going on our next big holiday!

We are so grateful to Holly for looking after our dog Poppy whilst we went to a family wedding for 2 nights. We were a bit nervous about leaving her as it was the first time we had done so. We needn’t have worried as Holly was absolutely wonderful at making Poppy feel welcome and putting our minds at rest that she would be very well looked after. Whilst we were away, she sent us updates, photos and videos showing Poppy happily playing which was lovely. Thank you so much Holly and family. Absolutely fantastic service! My dog can be nervous but Holly was extremely patient and kind with her. She followed all instructions and even added extra drop-ins at late notice to help my dog feel comfortable, which was massively appreciated. I have used Handy Pet Services on a few occasions over the years when going on holiday to look after my cat. My cat was a fussy eater and things had to be prepared in a particular way which Sarah was more than happy to do. It was reassuring to know that my cat was in such a safe pair of hands, being well cared for. Sarah went above and beyond and even brought some extra cat toys over on her visits for playtime with my fur baby and was also kind enough to send me some photos which was very much appreciated. My cat looked happy, healthy and content on my return and I found their prices to be very reasonable for the fantastic service and care provided. Sarah even watered my houseplants which I hadn’t even thought of mentioning. I can highly recommend Sarah and Handy Pets Services and will definitely be using them in the future. Derrick

My dog, Flora stays with Sarah and her family at Handy Pets. They are delightful and Flora is beautifully cared for and loves staying there! I receive regular photos of the lovely walks they go on. Sarah is kind and gentle and the family love the work they do.

Sarah and Dean have looked after my lurcherfor almost 10 years. They have been wonderful carers. I recommend them to friends often. I feel very happy about leaving Rocket with them- he loves being with them and the family.

Sarah is the absolutely amazing! Our Hungarian Vizsla and our mini Dachshund absolutely adore her and her family. We just come back from a week in Greece and Sarah was fantastic at sending updates and videos and checking in with me daily. The dogs absolutely loved their little holiday and didn’t want to come home. I can’t imagine the dogs being with anyone else when we go away, I have complete trust they are looked after, with the highest standards and all our instructions are taken on board fully. Sarah at Handy Pet Services is absolutely amazing with my dog's, I cannot recommend her enough. Sarah is patient, calm, reliable, knowledgeable & experienced with dog's that have behaviour problems. I have a rescue Boxer & he is very nervous of meeting new people inside & outside the house, Sarah came to our home & spent time with him so they could get to know each other prior to her visit with him alone. Now they are best of friends! I have used Sarah for a long time now, she visits regularly & I wouldn't leave my dog's with anyone else! Highly recommend! 👍

Since June 2014, Handy Pet Services has taken exceptional care of my dog several days a week. I can honestly say that they have always gone above and beyond when taking care of my dog. On walks, Handy Pet Services always take the dogs on lots of different places and somehow always manage to tire our little girl out. They also take lots of pictures and always keeps me updated of key funny moments so I never miss out. No matter what the weather, Handy Pet Services have never let me or my dog down. Dog sitting, walking and overnight stays have always gone without a hitch over the years. Most importantly, my dog absolutely loves seeing the owner and her her family, she goes mad with excitement every time we pull up to her house, and pulls me to the door. Hand Pet Services is more of a second home for my dog during they day, which always gives me piece of mind when leaving her with people I know will take excellent care of her. Handy Pet Services also go the extra mile in really trying to understand the different personalities, quirks, likes and dislikes of the dogs they provide pet services to. As an animal psychologist and canine behaviourist, I can say with absolute certainty that Handy Pet Services have always taken impeccable care of my dog and all the dogs I have seen them care for over the years. They are professional, reliable and also very accommodating with changes in schedule. Overall, I would highly recommend Handy Pet Services to anyone who wants to ensure that their pets will always be well looked after and cared for!

I've been bringing my dog to Sarah for a number of years and I can honestly say there is not a better, more safer place for your dog to stay. Sarah gets to know your dog inside and out and makes them feel very special. My dog gets very exited and knows when she's going to Sarah's. I could not recommend Handy Pet services enough!

I have been taking my dogs to Jackie for years because they are always delighted to get there and they return looking wonderful, having been beautifully cared for. Other kennels have meant they have been isolated and bored, tough for pack animals! Bridie feels secure there, the continuity of always having Jackie and Jenny means she feels relaxed and happy as do I about leaving her.

We have been using Heart's Delight for the best part of twenty years and have never had a problem. We travel a lot and leave our three dogs with Jackie and Jenny for short and long periods. We totally trust them to look after them, keep them busy and in good health, and so we always recommend the kennels to dog-loving friends.

We thought we had found the ideal kennels but due to Covid they are now closed. However, thanks to Jacky taking in our little dog we have now found the perfect kennels. Lovely lady, great kennels and a happy dog, what more can you ask for. Thank you Jacky and Jenny. X

My Labradoodles always come home from Hearts Delight kennels calm and happy. That shows me that they have had the attention and socialising they need to keep them happy.

Our dogs love going for their holidays here! They can't get through the gate fast enough!!! Jenny (and Jackie) obviously are both very fond of their 4 legged guests, and it never fails to astound me that when Jenny needs to put one set of dogs away to get mine out (when I pick them up) they just happily follow her and willingly go back in their kennels. Probably because they are given plenty of freedom and attention during the day. Mine certainly come back exhausted, and sleep for 24 hours when they get home! We work, and they normally just sleep all day!!

First time that my dogs stayed anywhere other than their home. Absolutely fantastic place for their time away. Owners and staff looked after my dogs as if they were a part of their family. First class service and care we couldn't have asked for more. Definitely would recommend. Thank you for looking after our dogs.

Charli was amazing when she looked after Freddie, our 16 month old Fox Red Lab. It was the first sleepover he had had! He was so happy and Charli was extremely knowledgeable about his breed. Charli sent pictures, videos and updates throughout the day, which was great. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her services. Charli recently looked after our young mini schnauzer Otto for a fortnight. It was clear from all the photos and videos Charli sent us that Otto was having a whale of a time, playing and snuggling up to her other canine house guests. In fact he's never looked as happy as in the first photo she sent us with the first three of his new mates! Dogs clearly love Charli and she obviously loves them, a real softie yet able to ensure they're all kept safe. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Otto with Charli again nor our new puppy, in fact we've already booked a day slot for both of them with her and will soon be booking a longer stay for our holiday next year.

Charli has looked after our chihuahua several times, and he’s always felt at home and very happy. We totally trust her to take the best care of him and highly recommend her services. When we’re away, we get frequent updates, photos and videos. She’s lovely to deal with, and we’ll happily leave our dog with her again next time when we need a dogsitter.

Fantastic home from home for our pup. Charli is very professional, caring and fun and really looks after her charges. Our dog can’t wait to get to her house when we tell her she’s going to stay. That says everything.

We've trusted Charli with our pets for years. She's done house visits to check on our cats, and more recently doggy day care for our puppy while I'm at work. It's such a relief to know he'll be well taken care of, have lots of fun, and come home happy, safe and sound. Charli is friendly and professional and great with animals. Our Cockapoo Archie has just had a weeks stay with Charli. He was really well looked after and had a great week. Charli took care to cater for Archie’s needs but also gave him the freedom to play off lead. He loved the attention from Charli’s family and the company of other dogs. We had updates from Charli 2-3 times per day with videos and photos of Archie’s day. Would thoroughly recommend and look to book again in the future.

Charli is a fantastic dog sitter. Very accommodating, flexible with our needs and excellent with communication. Our dog, Nellie, has come on leaps and bounds since we've been using Charli and she is so excited everytime we turn up. I can highly recommend Charli for looking after your furbabies. My dog has stayed with Charli and her family whilst I'm at work. She has only been there 5 times so far but I am amazed at how quickly she has settled. Charli is very professional and welcoming and makes sure that the dogs are happy and comfortable. We have been going to Charli and her lovely family since our dog Riley was a new puppy, we absolutely adore her. But I think the best part is how excited Riley is every time we drop her off, she loves socialising with the other dogs, it’s perfect for her to be around kids and she’s always knackered at the end of the day. Essentially we wouldn’t choose anyone else 🥰

Charli was so thoughtful. Rescued us for our anniversary weekend. We didn’t know that our beloved dog didn’t like hanging out in an unfamiliar holiday home. Charli insisted on meeting him for a quick play before we dropped him off (quite right) spoiled him rotten for two hours while we had our anniversary dinner. Forever grateful!

Used to be excellent but increasingly erratic changes of host at last minute. Sent my dogs to a host who on the first night locked them in a kitchen and went out for a meal and left them in a strange house.My poor 6 year old lab who has been 10 times with this company before happily was so distressed he broke his way out looking for me as he has never been locked in a room before we have gates.No treats had been given or his toys and the next day the host didn't want them. Please if you treasure your pets be aware that dogs don't always come first in these houses apparently meals out with friends do the time should have been spent on getting to know your dogs and spending time with them not locking them up with no toys home comforts or any thought to how dogs who are never shut up anyway would feel locked up in a strangers house truly shocking
