Gary and his kennels are exceptional. He goes above and beyond care and love for the dogs and the kennels are 5 star hotels. Fully recommend his services and kennels. A good and caring organisation who put the animals and their care first. This includes meals.

Pup always returns happy and the same weight - not been the case at other kennels. The couple that run it are lovely.

Dropped our 3 dogs off the day before my wedding. My little 5 year old daughter was excited to see the kennels etc, the woman owner was very rude and abrupt with her. She simply wanted to stand next to me whilst I signed the forms (strange place etc), but the woman said "can you get your daughter out of the office please, it's not big enough..." It's a shed! Her and her husband were in there, me and my little hip height 5 yr old in the doorway! Didn't really make much difference. Anyway, that immediately put me on high alert. When we took the dogs to their kennel there were many other dogs in kennels all barking constantly. Most of them looked dirty and dishevelled, certainly didn't look happy! I very reluctantly left my 3 dogs there (mainly because I had to get to the hotel to sort wedding stuff and I knew everywhere else was booked up. I was then at the kennels by 08.30am the morning after my wedding to pick them up because I was that worried about them! Now, normally my dogs are extremely well behaved and do not pull on the lead, one of them walks to heal whenever we are out and doesn't need a lead. But when I collected them, all 3 practically pulled me off my feet to get to the car. Each kennel is just a concrete block with a metal gate. I call it Prisoner Cell Block H. Trust me, if you love your dog, don't leave them here!

I have just collected my boy from the lovely people at gatehouse kennels after our holiday. Easy drop off and pick up. Didn't look like he wanted to come home. Will definitely recommend to anyone who asks. He is so tired which tells me he's been very active as he has so much energy usually. Thank you so much. We would definitely use again.

This was the first time we have used the kennels. Our dog has often come home from previous kennels, very smelly from disinfectant and has put on weight. We picked him up and his coat was very glossy - he had not put weight on and did not smell. The owners are obviously real dog people who look after the dogs well. Thank you.

My dog was injured within half an hour of arriving, meaning she had to be taken to the vets. She had torn one of the front pads and nail completely free of the paw and subsequently we discovered she had a back injury. Her treatment cost just under £1000, she’s never fully recovered and we had to postpone travel. The owners refused to speak to me and lied about the circumstances. Be very careful leaving your pet here.

I only take Toby here Alan and Sara look after him so well and he s not easy being a tipical terrior he has regular walk s and is always happy to go and stay i would recommend the gatehouse kennels to anyone who is looking for somewhere to board they're dog

Tracey is trustworthy and reliable, has given great care for our cockerpoo Poppy over this past 5 years, all our holidays and weekends away ,we have been able to relax knowing that Poppy is running around with other dogs and in Traceys amazing house and grounds ,she rushes in and we know she has great fun.

Our black lab Frankie has been going regularly for the past couple of years and loves it. All the dogs have their creature comforts and Frankie has his own spot on the sofa, so it is like a home from home for him. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tracey and the hairy hound nanny service.

Remy thoroughly enjoys her time at Hairy Hounds. We are assured she has the best care and fun with Tracy…. Top class service, wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Tracey looked after Lilly for us in January of this year, 2023. Lilly was still a young lady at that time & we were nervous leaving her but we need not have worried at all as she was happy & healthy on our return & we have already booked her in for her next holibobs.

Introduction today with Chico our nervous chihuahua. He took to Tracey immediately, "you must be the guardian angel to dogs". 😇 Chico played with the other dogs and had a great time. ..he didn't want to leave! We’ve used Ailsa’s Creature Comforts service for quite a number of years and have been so happy with the care provided. Both our last boxer dog, Alf, and our latest boy, Percy have loved their little holidays with Creature Comforts which, in turn, makes our holidays more relaxing knowing we don’t need to worry about them. Highly recommend!

We have used the services of Ailsa at Creature Comforts on several occasions short and long stays for our two dogs and they are so happy. We were so overjoyed to find this wonderful home boarding business as we had found it difficult to find anywhere apart from kennels which our boys hate. Alisa is so kind, caring, accommodating and calm and looks after our boys as if they were her own! What more could you want for your beloved pets, we wouldn’t use anyone else, Creature comforts gives you peace of mind knowing they will be well cared for allowing you to relax while your away. We always return to happy healthy dogs which to us is priceless.

Ailsa and Andy have provided first class care for our 2 spaniels and a crazy terrier! We go away regularly and sometimes for fairly long periods, and our pups are always well looked after and happy - little terrier LOVES being with the other residents! This is a Godsend for anyone looking for the personal touch for their precious dogs.

When we first moved to Wales I was worried that we wont find a 'kennel-free' option for our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rocky, when we have to visit family in South Africa. But finding Creature Comforts came as such a relief! Ailsa has now looked after Rocky twice - both short and long stay and I would use her again and again. She has a lovely friendly demeanor which immediately puts any pet at ease. Rocky loved his stay with her as she treated him like he was part of the family - the same way we treat him at home. He was taken on numerous walks and was allowed to roam free,in the same way we do on our walks at home. I am very very happy with Ailsa's service as she takes the time to get to know each dog individually and cares for their personal individual needs as a result. This is great, as no dog is the same. We were away from our beloved Rocky for 4 weeks and I did not worry once as I knew he was in the best hands possible. Will recommend Creature Comforts any day! Definitely using their service again.

I will only use Creature Comforts to board my dog. It means that I can go away without any worries, assured that she is being properly cared for. Ailsa has also always been very flexible with both short and long stays which has helped me organise anything from a weekend away to a 3 week break. Highly recommended and much better value than kennels.

I have used creature comforts a couple of times now and have My Dog Tess booked in again in October. I would recommend ailsa I have no worries leaving Tess with her I know she is being well looked after Tess wasn’t sure the first time she went but was happy when I picked her up Second time she went she Was happy to see ailsa and just jumped straight into her car as if to say bye mum I’m off lol.i would recommend ailsa without hesitation and Tess as found her Second home i wouldn’t send her anywhere else thank you so much ailsa for looking after my baby.😊

We have used creature comforts now for around 7 years and I will not go anywhere else . From the moment you meet Ailsa and her family then you know your dogs are in good hands and you can then enjoy your break or holiday without a care . My 2 dogs actually cant wait to get out of the car when we arrive as they love being there . I genuinely feel as the dogs feel it's a home from home and the value of that is immeasurable

Jacqui is absolutely AMAZING and we wouldn’t have left our dog, for the day, with anyone else!!! Jacqui’s communication was superb, from start to finish, she was warm and welcoming, her home/grounds are just amazing and perfect for the dogs and we just loved talking to Jacqui about her dedication, passion and interest in dogs! (And the beautiful area). I wished we lived a lot nearer so our dog could spend more time with Jacqui and the other pooches, you could tell he had an amazing day. We couldn’t recommend Jacqui enough and hopefully we’ll see her again when we’re next up in N Wales. 5* and more!

I came across centrepaws whilst trawling the Internet looking for a place our 4month oId puppy could stay whilst we went away for the weekend. Jacqui was very responsive to my call and quickly set about fitting our puppy in for a half day taster session, followed by a full day before she eventually got to stay the night. We were given regular updates and photos of her either playing outdoors with her new 'friends' or snuggled up in Jacqui's lap. Centrepaws is a fantastic place if your looking for a 'home from home' experience for your dog. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Jacqui.

Took our new puppy Loki to meet Jacqui today. Just amazing- wonderful place. Jacqui is great - after one conversation with her my confidence just grew enormously with Loki (my first dog). We came to Snowdonia for the week for a walking holiday with our dog Meela, however, rarely for Wales it was the hottest week of the year so had to look at finding a daycare for her as we couldn't take her out with us. We contacted Jacqui and thankfully she had availability for the days we were after and also overnight boarding, Meela stayed 4 days and 3 nights. From the moment we got there we felt at ease, Jacqui showed us the outside area and stream in which the dogs play in. After we dropped her off we got updates everyday and pictures of her chilling and playing with the other dogs. We could tell how happy and settled Meela was whilst she was there and when we came to pick her up we saw her running around having fun with the other dogs. It's a lovely scenic daycare and you can tell how much Jacqui loved her job and looks after the dogs. If we ever come back to Wales and need a daycare we wouldn't hesitate to use centrepaws again. Couldn't recommend enough.

Willow was a shy and slightly nervous little cockapoo when she came to live with me, and couldn't settle in a conventional kennel environment if I needed to go away. Luckily I found Centrepaws 😍 - it was like a home from home for her, and she settled in immediately. She has been there to stay and for doggie day-care - she absolutely loves it there. I get regular updates and photos of her during the day, and I know that Jacqui will look after her as if she was one of her own. Its a special place, and its reassuring to know your little furry friend is safe and happy when you have to leave her. Jacqui is very knowledgeable about dogs, and they seem to instinctively trust her. I couldn't recommend this place enough 👍🏻. One word of caution though - the dogs have so much fun playing and enjoying the welsh mountain air that they sometimes forget to avoid the muddy puddles!! 😂😂😂

Jaqui has looked after our dogs for a few years and they absolutely adore her. They get so excited when they see her as they know they are going to have the best time. There's plenty of land to run around, a beach and sea to go in and they return home shattered and content. Jacqui treats our dogs with lots of love and sends us regular updates whilst we're away. We wouldn't use anyone else.

Im so grateful for everything Jacqui has done to help me over the past few weeks introducing my 1 year old lab to other dogs and puppies which has been difficult during lockdown. Nel LOVES going to Centre Paws and I know she is always safe and in good, loving and professional hands. Would highly recommend Centre Paws. I am so glad to have met Jacqui and can’t wait for my dog to go stay there for her holidays in the future (after a little more training!).

My dogs have stayed with Jacqui for many many years. She is a real dog lover and looks after their welfare with kindness and enthusiasm . I have no guilt leaving my animals with Jacqui as they have just as good a holiday as I do . In fact with all the exercise and socialising they have an excellent time . In the past I have used kennels but I left a miserable dog in a noisy caged environment and collect a dirty animal desperately pleased to escape . Bad idea and won’t do it again . Don’t need to when your dog can have a brilliant time with Jacqui Latham . I recommend her 100%

What can i say other than Jacqui is amazing....I know my boy Monty is in safe hands with her and the rest of her pack 🐶He loves his little holidays there and we love our holidays even more knowing that he is so well taken care of.We get constant updates and photos of him literally loving life out and about on some lovely walks or snoozing in front of the log fire! I could not recommend Jacqui enough,if you want a home away from home for your four legged friend then look no further...Monty certainly won’t be going anywhere else!

My Archie has stayed at Centrepaws both daytime and night. On every occasion he has had a ball and been very well looked after by Jacqui who is a fabulous leader for the dogs in her care and you can always be assured that your dog is in very capable, professional hands. Archie has and still does require medication which I am happy to hand over to Jacqui who knows exactly how to deal with his medication. Jacqui is very flexible and helpful with a very calm professional manner. Every time I have visited Centrepaws to drop and pick Archie up the dogs in her care appear happy and safe which is very important to me. The facilities are second to none and provide the dogs with variety, interest and room to play and run. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Centrepaws to anyone. Five stars just isn't enough.

When I picked my 3 dogs up this morning, they seemed happy, alert and non stressed. A very nice and safe to board my dogs.

My Puppy came to stay for the week and as it was the first time leaving him we were quite nervous. But when we arrived at Elna's the handover went smoothly and I was instantly put at ease. Very lovely people and we had a pupdate in the week to let us know how he was getting along and some photos and a video of him exploring. He had a lovely stay and will be back again on our next holiday. Really can't explain how lovely they are at Elna's. Thank you for keeping Louie safe and happy while we were away.

I can't recommend Elna Kennels highly enough. They are superb and it's a shame they're not on my doorstep. Henry spent two weeks with Jo and Rick and he had a wonderful time. We were holidaying in the area and were able to pick Henry up for day trips, but when we returned in the evening he greeted Jo and Rick like family. They really settled him in well and we really appreciated the photos and videos on those days when we were not able to take him out. Thanks so much!

Our 10 month old Beagle had a 5 night stay here with Richard, Jo and team in February and it really is a home from home. They took their time during the initial handover process and ensured our dog felt relaxed as we departed, which resulted in a seamless and stress free transition for everyone. What was really reassuring was that when we picked her up upon our return, our dog wasn’t bothered about coming home with us which speaks volumes about the positive experience she had during her stay. We’d recommend this placement to anyone, and we’ve already booked her in for a return stay in the summer. We feel very fortunate to have found Elna’s.

I arrived in the area a year ago and was thrilled to discover Elna dog boarding kennels. I have owned dogs for most of my life and often dropping a dog off at the kennels can be quite upsetting as you can see your dog doesn't want to be left. Not so with Elna, when I drive into the parking area I can see my pointer recognising where we are and his tail immediately starts to wag, so these five stars are from Logan. Oh and Jo and Richard are really nice people too and genuinely care about dogs.

This was our 8 month old labs first night away from us all so we wanted to find somewhere nice for her to stay. All the reviews were great and when we arrived the owners Rick and Jo were so good with Luna who was a little nervous at first. They took the time to show us around and introduce us to all the other dogs and show us where Luna would be sleeping. They didn't rush and by the time we left Luna was already starting to settle in very nicely. They took her for lots of walks and treated her so lovely. Very happy and would definitely book Luna in again.

Lovely kennels. Our sheep dog who’s only young loved staying here for the weekend. She was well looked after, walked often and loved being in the company of other dogs. The owners Rick and Jo were so kind to her, we were often updated by them with photos and txts. She’s already booked in for her next stay. Highly recommend to anyone especially if you’re like me reluctant to put their dog in kennels! But after her first time there I’m so glad I did her reaction said it all. Xxx

If I could put 6 stars I would. I cannot express just how happy we are with the care and attention our dog Pippin received at Elna Kennels. Pippin stayed at Elna Kennels for a week while we went on holiday, we dropped her off and the kennels were very clean, a lovely enclosed area for the dogs to run around off the lead and fields and fields for walks and sniffing out rabbits! The owners were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. Pippin can bark at new people being a neurotic collie but happily went off with Richard without a second glance at us! Highly recommend, fabulous place and owners who know dogs. Thank you

Meg looked after our lovely boy for a month whilst we relocated to North Wales. Meg was helpful, caring and kind, fitting in and changing dates as required. Meg's cat hotel is a cattery on another level of cat luxury, so I have no hesitation in saying that this is the best service I have seen for pet boarding. Five star review for a five star service.

Great place for your pets to go whilst you are away. The owner, Meg lives and breaths her charges. We've booked out cat Wellington in for two stays this year and another in Jan 2024. Pre booking visits are actively encouraged so you can have a look round before booking.

Absolutely lovely place took such good care of my fur baby, while me and hubby celebrated our wedding anniversary! High recommend! And my boy loved having his own holiday to make new friends.

A big thank you to The Pet Joint for looking after Pig so well while we were away. He clearly had a fab time watching fish tv, chilling on the chaise longue and watching the birds outside. A lovely touch having photos posted on Facebook (it is if you’re crazy cat people like us 🤣). Great communication and clearly so much care in what they do. Our lively labrador stayed with steve and meg and their canine companions while we got married and went on honeymoon. Not only did they go the extra mile by offering a chaperone service so our boy could be at the wedding they thoroughly looked after him while we were away. The daily updates of photographs of him enjoying his dog holiday put our mind at ease, he was not missing us too much. So much so that it almost looked like he was far more interested in where his canine pals where when we picked him up. I would use and reccomend the pet joint again and again. What can I say? I chose The Pet Joint after asking on FB for recommendations as I wasn't from the area. Originally booked in for a few days, our Puffle ended up staying for three weeks due to a stressful and uncertain house move. I never once felt like an imposition & was continually told by Meg that it didn't matter and Puffle would be welcome to stay as long as necessary. Meg is an absolute credit to petcare and I am in no doubt that she treats all her charges as if they were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to use The Pet Joint again. Thank you so much 🤗

We booked our two cats and dog in for a short break at Pet Joint and were suitably impressed. The care and attention was second to none and the rooms and furnishings were really luxurious. Our little ones enjoyed the experience and arrived back with glowing coats and lots of new friends. Definitely worth considering if you love your pet and want them to enjoy a home away from home! Meg and Steve provide a first-rate, top quality, dog boarding service. Like other dog owners who won’t use kennels, we searched for ages for a suitable alternative for our dog and found it at The Pet Joint. Set in gorgeous North Wales countryside, the dogs have large grounds in which to exercise, sleep in their own, very spacious, rooms and have round-the-clock professional care and attention. Highly recommended.

Meg's a trusting and caring pet mum. She took great care of Roger recently, really efficient arrangements and lovely, kindly approach. Would most def. Reccomend.

Thank you so much to Debs for looking after Goldie for two weeks whilst we went off adventuring. Goldie had a super time, she was so happy upon collection and Debs made it easy for us to to drop her off with her lovely nature. My young daughter was really upset about having to leave Goldie in kennels and was quite upset but with a big hug from Debs and photos throughout our holiday it was all made better. Thank you so much for your kindness and your attentiveness. We will definitely be bringing Goldie back when we next go on holiday! Our very nervous Lurcher Pippin stayed for a month with Debs and Mal and he was so well looked after that I had no worries at all. Felt so sad to leave my boy as we’ve been stuck to each other since we got him (just before lockdown). Cat came home very stressed. My cat was left in its carrying box when I arrived at 9-30 to collect her its fortunate that I arrived to collect her at that time. Had I arrived at 10-30 I dread to think what state she would have been in. Will never use in future very poor practice.
