Great place took our 8 mth old puppy while we were on Holiday. 3 days later we had a text saying she was eating etc but was very nervous. They persevered with her and she was fine when we collected her. 10 out of 10 in my book.

First time in kennels for my 2 dogs gruffalo and grinch, walked in to collect and my dogs were not making any noise at all, in fact grinchy was ZZZ in bed and gruffalo fast asleep on floor, looked very relaxed and happy, would recommend x

Our dog has come back totally terriffied by her experience there. Whatever they did to her has truly changed her. She runs off terrified when we open the freezer door and hides behind the sofa, as if this is something that she has done wrong. We are truly heartbroken by what this woman has done to our dog. She also came back ridden with fleas and smelt like she had spent her time sitting in her own fecies. Absolutely gutted.

Last year, I had to take Bill and Ben my Jack Russell's several times whilst I was in hospital. They love it there and rush to get in. The prices there are very very reasonable.

Only problem is that there are only certain times to drop off and pick up, which being a shift worker can be difficult, however Helen is very accommodating and really helpful and Kiera is well looked after, which is the main thing.

Aimee took care of our reactive girl for a week at our home. Both we, and our furbaby felt so comfortable the moment she walked through the door, and we knew that our dog would be in good hands. Not always being the easiest of dogs(but nevertheless, certainly the cutest!), but Aimee took it all in her stride. Wouldn't hesitate to welcome Aimee in to our home again, and recommend her to anyone looking for care for any of their non human family members ❤️ Thank you Aimee x

My young springer spaniel, Beti, went to stay with Amy and she had the very best time. She didn’t pine for us or miss us one bit and that to me is the sign of a relaxed and contented animal. Amy is very knowledgeable and really put my mind at ease as Beti still had a weak leg after breaking it (though you’d never tell) She sent us regular updates on the fun Beti was having with her own dogs and one other boarding dog who Beti particularly made friends with. I will not hesitate to take Beti back to Amy again and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Nala stayed at Whitley whilst we got married and it was so lovely to know that she was well taken care of and happy whilst we were away! The pictures and videos are so lovely to see whilst we were away also. 100% would recommend.

It was a brief visit for dogs to be seen and assessed all went well and the staff were very friendly

Used some time ago as an opportunity to socialise my dog on a half day basis. Was good initially until they began to post about money short fallings in the industry and started to turn away half day dogs to be replaced by full day. With no real explanation apart from a 10 second conversation in the car park amongst other dog parents we were told full days or no longer welcome. I asked about the use of the office for such sensitive conversations only to be told the office is only available for full day or boarding parents. Money over care unfortunately. Have used others since who are amazing!

Minnie really enjoyed her stay at Whitley Cross. They are great and send videos most days. I will be taking Minnie there again soon.

Amazing service. We took our dog originally to another Kennels when we picked him up he looked scared and not himself. So said we'd never go back. We then came across Whitley and thank God we did !! They're amazing treat your dog as if he was there own, they get looked after so so well and even have doggie socials, so the dogs get to mingle and have fun together. You can also opt to have pictures put on there Facebook page, so whilst you're away, you get to see your pet on holiday too. I cannot recommend this team enough, our dog gets so excited going there and when you pick him up you can see how happy he is, it's Amazing. I cannot thank this team enough keep up the professional and excellent service you can tell the passion, love and care you all put into your jobs. Thank you.

Whiteley Crest were amazing at helping us to have our dog attend our wedding at Rowton Castle. We organised for groomsmen to drop her off and pickup, and they both commented on how nice the kennels were and how happy our dog was around the staff. We've also seen this ourselves when we did a trial run a few months ago. Thanks so much!

What a fabulous stay my doggies have had ❤️ they were happy and well looked after and we loved seeing the photos of them enjoying their social times with the other doggies staying. This is the first time they have ever stayed in kennels and we are more than happy and comfortable to have them stay here again with out a shadow of a doubt. Our three cats spent the weekend with Whitely Crest in April. The two younger ones, it was their first time in a cattery, and they took it in their stride. They came home happy and healthy. The oldest cat had stayed before. He came home stressed, and wouldn't eat for the next week, and wasn't himself. This is no way a reflection on the way he was looked after by Whitley. It's just him, I think. He spent a long time there the first time on his own (46 days), and I don't think he coped well. This time, even though he had his brother and sister with him, he doesn't seem to have settled. Luckily, he's now back to his old self.

Our dog loves her stays at Oggies Doggies. Such professional staff and a fantastic environment. Highly recommend.

We were told we would have 2 or 3 trial days to let our dog familiarise with the new environment before being assessed for boarding which we thought was a good idea. However, the staff at Oggies Doggies advised us that our dog wouldn’t be suitable for boarding as he can sometimes steal things and jump up at counter tops.. on his first trial day at somewhere he’s not been before. We felt that our dog hadn’t been given a chance to settle in, maybe they prefer docile dogs who don’t give the staff too much to do? Anyway, we’ve since found Splendid Hounds a couple of miles down the road and they’re fantastic, and say our dog is no bother at all.

My Remi absolutely loves coming here, was reading some reviews and want to just say, they were unsure when Remi first came if he would be okay with the other dogs and being left, but they worked really hard with me and Remi and introduced him slowly and we went on quieter days before being transitions to busy days. Didnt mind doing this at all as I wanted to know that he would be 100% ok before leaving him overnight and while on holiday. They know the dogs they care for and they also know when a dog is not going to be happy. They literally worked wonders with my Remi and now can go on any day with any dog and stays overnight lovely. The staff are absolutely amazing and love my boy like their own. I get lovely photo updates which put my mind at ease, although sometimes I worry he won't want to come home as he is having so much fun. Hahaha. Highly recommended!!!!

My dog went here on 3/4 occasions and he seemed to enjoy it and was tired when he came home. However, after the 2nd visit we were told to he was mounting other dogs too much and they advised that we get him neutered, after taking vets advise they stated that at 9 months old this may be too young for a big dog to be neutered. On the 4th visit we were advised that he was mounting other dogs too much, was winey and barked at times. I understand that it is not fair on the other dogs for them to be mounted but it seems from reading other reviews on Facebook and google that they only want placid dogs who don’t play very much! Also the initial meet and greet session was £10 and only lasted 10 minutes before they said that he would be welcome, if this had lasted longer the unwanted behaviour may have been spotted. The dog enjoyed it but wasn’t the best fit for him and his puppy behaviours.

Both of my dogs regularly go here it's the best place I've ever left them it's home from home the owners are fabulous with them aswell, in my honest opinion nowhere else comes close 10/10

We left our Irish Terrier at Dogs at Home for three weeks, having been recommended it by a friend. What an excellent decision! Unfortunately, our dog became very ill due to a pre-existing condition and Karina was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Sensible, caring, calm and keeping us up to date at all times, even using her excellent local vet too. We have just had the test results back and he is back at full fitness. Karina is not just an animal lover, she has a wealth of experience with dogs, and has exactly the right type of character to look after your dog in a professional and caring way. Anthony

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOME BOARDING SERVICE - We used Dogs at Home for the first time and we couldn’t have been happier with the care given to our two old dogs. They are both on medication, but Karina wasn’t put off by that at all, it just wasn’t a problem for her. Karina is obviously very caring towards the dogs she looks after and her wealth of experience made us feel very much at ease leaving our old boys with her. When we collected them we could see they were happy and well. We will definitely be bringing the boys back to stay.

This was the second stay for our rescue Mr. Darcy. I was nervous the first time we left him with Karina, but he came back home happy and healthy. His second holiday, he was happy to see Karina and wandered off her without any fuss! I am just so happy we have found someone who will care for our boy when we are away. I highly recommend "Dogs at Home", and we love getting our updates of photos and videos. It does our boy good to socialise with the other dogs in day or holiday care. Karina is professional, caring, and experienced in dog handling. Thank you.

I cannot recommend Dogs at Home highly enough. My dog has been attending regularly for day care and overnight stays since she was a puppy and she absolutely adores her time with Karina; always returning home happy, exhausted and content. Karina is really focused on providing a safe, protective and nurturing environment for the dogs in her care and is passionate about their welfare. Look no further for the very best possible care and experience for your precious loved one.

I was a bit worried about leaving our GSD puppy for the first time. Karina has done a fantastic job with caring for our big boy and kept us updated on his well being the whole way through with videos, photos and messages. I will be definitely using this service again. We went on holiday and this was booked before we got our Bear so it only felt right that bear went on a holiday too. I didn’t feel right sending him to an actual kennel where he would be locked away in a cage. He has had the most amazing week and great socialising too. Thank you so much for having him for us and taking such great care of him. He is one worn out pup but he’s had a lovely time. I’m so happy to have him home.

Update 16 months later (April 2023) - our dog was so neclected at Dogs at Home that he is terrified anytime he sees us packing the bags. It looks like poor old boy confidence has been lost forever. --------------------- December 2021 - We left our dog with Karina for Christmas hoping he will have better home than in a kennel. I can not comment how he was looked after as I was not there. Sadly when he was collected his fabric crate had a very strong smell of urine, detected on the drive back home (a very pungent journey!). When we checked inside, we saw that the crate and all of his bedding was full of urine. We had to throw away everything and became really concerned what happened. We called Karina and asked if she has any idea why our dogs bedding was wet and urinated. Sadly, she was unable to provide any explanation, and strongly rejected the fact that his bed was covered in wee. We can only state that upon collection, it was in an unacceptable state, and has caused us serious reservations about the level of care our dog received over Christmas. I don't like writing this review, and it is not something being done for any reason other than outlining our experience.

Parting with our three beautiful fur-babies is always difficult but Karina offers a home from home environment where we know they will be well looked after until our return. The regular photos and videos she sends are lovely touches and reflect the care and attention she gives to making sure the owners, as well as the dogs, are as stress-free as possible. I can highly recommend.

My boy Waffle has been going to Karina for around a year now. He is very attached to me and usually becomes anxious if he cant see me but handing him over to Karina its like I don't exist he doesn't even look back at me as he trots off to his stay. I recieve updates, videos and pictures and Karina is so flexible and has helped me lots at short notice. I'm so relieved I have found Karina as I know my boy is cared for when I can not be with him.

Karina was looking after our labrador Frugo several times now. Never had any issues and we were having a laugh seeing his pictures as he seems to have better holidays than us 🤣 He always looks very happy 😊 …

Picked up our 2 springer spaniels and 1 cocker spaniel this morning. We were thrilled to hear that they had all behaved impecably and had clearly enjoyed their stay. Check in with Annie was easy and attention to detail on what each dog needed to enjoy thsir stay. You knew they were in good hands. Thank you all , I would not hesitate to use Windmill again if needed.

My experience here was incredible. I felt like my dog was in safe hands. For the price and quality of care he seemed to have got I'd highly recommend. When we arrived and gave in all his paper work, they immediately took him for a walk so he could get to know the girls. He took one look at me and almost forgot I was there until I picked him up. Brilliant

Our 5 month old Welsh Springer Reuben has just boarded with Lissa for 9 days. I was very apprehensive about putting Reuben into kennels. I can now say with the biggest smile on my face and with much relief in my heart that he had the best time! Reuben was so happy when we collected him. He's grown in confidence and stature! Lissa is such a caring person who obviously prides herself on making every dog's stay enjoyable and stress free. While we were away, Lissa gave us regular updates and photos which made us feel very reassured. My husband and I highly recommend Windmill Boarding Kennels - Reuben will definitely stay there again! I cant recommend Windmill Kennels and Lissa highly enough. Not only do my dogs get 5 star service while staying in the kennels, Lissa has years of veterinary nurse experience to deal with any medical needs your dog may have. And if that isn't enough, I can book my dog in for a wash and groom while she's in there! It's just perfect.

Alice and the team have been walking Marley since he was a pup over 4+ years now. They provide an excellent service and Marley always looks forward to his doggy walks.

Alice has made a real go at creating and growing her business. She is a very capable young lady. She has a lovely way with all animals and our Charlie adores her. We have used many of her services, and we have always been more than happy to recommend her to friends. We will often call on Alice for help and advice too, nothing is too much trouble for her. Alice has also started to provide hampers for those special occasions and after the lovey Christmas hamper Charlie can't wait for Easter!

Ali looked after our felines for the summer. No job was too small for her and she took her time to come and get to know the cats before we went away. I felt calm, happy and settled and rightly so, as when we returned the cats were happy and healthy and I had regular updates about how they were and photos to confirm all was well. Alice has been amazing with my dog who is a rescue. She’s really coming out of her shell. She doesn’t trust strangers but seemed to really warm to Alice quite quickly. Alice looked after our beloved cat, Boba whilst we were away. First time having Alice care for Boba. Alice was so caring and professional, ensuring she did a meet & greet before us going away, and noting all information for boba including vets etc. This gave us reassurance she would give the upmost care to Boba. During our trip, she was in regular contact, updates and pictures, Boba took such a like to Alice. Highly recommend and already booked Alice for our next trip

I have two very precious sausage dogs and Alice understands just how precious they are to me. She knows I prefer them to be socialised with smaller dogs for their backs. She understands their raw feed diet. She's very knowledge about all different dog breeds but she's not pushy with it. She adapts to your routine and whatever is best for your dog she will do. She goes above and beyond for my boys and they love her so much. I wouldn't want anyone else to look after my boys. They love alice and she loves them just as much. Thanks for being you!!!! It's a great place to leave your doggie in good care , but my little one was overwhelmed by the bigger dogs so they had no option but to keep her inside on her 5 hour visit ,so sadly she cannot go again as there's not enough staff on days when there are a lot of dogs in day care centre to monitor all dogs inside and out ,which is a shame I was do hoping my little one would have loved playing with all dogs big and small .

Have taken our Lucy here twice and she has been so well looked after. She comes home full of bounce. The staff are lovely and Lucy is not nervous about going there so I feel confident leaving her with them.

Beautiful quiet setting, lovely mother and daughter that run the place. My dogs have boarded here and we're well looked after. They're the first kennels that one my dogs actually liked, she didn't come home clingy and was very settled. Highly recommend.

Not sure ; wasn’t given the opportunity to have a good look around when bringing my dogs, I could see that they didn’t have an open run of there own going out onto grass,I wasn’t asked what my dogs like to eat , it seemed like they were in a hurry for us leave; the dogs where there 15 nights; on there return I could see they had lost weight , they ate two and a half full meals when we got back home , we weren’t told what they would be fed ,so it’s hard to give a proper review .

By far the best kennels I've taken my doggo. Very friendly and understanding people, they took amazing care and attention of my family dog. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We are absolutely amazed with Jenn and her dog boarding service. It really is incredible, from start to finish with the gentle onboarding process to make sure everyone is happy to the actual enriched boarding with fabulous dog walks is just so so comforting as an owner. We love the fact that Jenn has a real sense of command and control with our dog and so we know she is in safe hands with training and discipline as well as being cared for and all of her needs are being met. Brilliant!

Jenn has taken great care of our dog. During his stays with Jenn, we’ve received regular updates on how he was doing as well as photos. His last visit with Jenn was for 12 days, so the regular contact helped my wife and I feel at ease while we were away from him. Our dog can be anxious sometimes but Jenn knows how to tailor her approach to suit each dogs personality and needs. I would highly recommend Paws and Moore!

Dealing with Jenn and Shaun at Paws and Moore has been amazing. They are both so professional in their approach and service, and also very accommodating. Shaun started visiting our two dogs recently. The best dog sitters you could ask for! I visited Shrewsbury for work in the lead up to Christmas and required dog care for around 10 days. Despite my working hours being a little erratic, Jenn accommodated us amazingly and was super flexible with pick up and drop offs. I received daily pup dates and was always informed of drop offs and pick ups which put me totally at ease. I was so thrilled by how friendly and personal the service was and loved how happy My pup was after his visits. I couldn’t recommend Paws and Moore any more highly, I just wish I could relocate them to London for the rest of the year!! Thank you so much for making everything so easy and enjoyable! Absolutely EXCELLENT!

You know when you can tell you've found someone special, that's how I feel about Donna and Julie at Canine and Co! 🥰 I searched for ages for a boarders for my two 4-legged babies. At 7 and 4 years old they had never been to a boarder before. However after some tough life events, I was ready for a special holiday with my nearest and dearest. I was very fussy when looking for a boarder because my dogs are so special to me, they are family and I wanted them to be looked after just like they are at home. Donna could not have been more helpful right from the start of the process. She replied quickly, got in touch to check how trial nights / stays had gone and genuinely cared about us. She is amazing! 🫶🫶🫶 My dogs stayed 7 nights with Julie and from the moment we were put in touch, I had good feeling things might work out. Julie was just like Donna - quick to respond and suggested a meet up which I was happy about. Meeting Julie, I was very happy, I found a like minded soul who is besotted with dogs like me. Julie suggested a trial afternoon followed by a trail night. Both went well despite my 7 year old being a timid girl and never staying anywhere before, Julie was patient with her and made her comfortable 💕 We did another trial night before the 7 night stay and that really helped my girl. Julie you are an angel and I'm so grateful to you for all the love and care you gave my dogs ❤️❤️ Thank you Donna and thank you Julie, keep doing what you're doing, thanks to you both I had a much needed holiday and was happy in the knowledge my babies were in safe hands 💞💞💞

Paul and Donz are fantastic hosts. They care for your pooch like they are their own. I could not recommend them enough!

Our dogs stayed again with Donna and paul (3rd time) doggy day care while we had a couple of days zip wiring, Elvis, Percy,Louie have the best time and even had percy (the only doggy that would rather sleep all day on sofa) running and even jumping over fences. This is the best doggy care we have found and would just come to North wales so they could stay there again, I've told all my friends about them and if I could we would double the 5 * , Elvis and percy and louie send lots of woofs

Jac our Labrador has just been to stay with Claire and her little bundle of fun Max. This holiday was the longest Jac has been away from us, a whole 10 days!! We had the greatest time which I must admit was helped by the little photos and videos of Jac living his best life, we could see he was having so much fun and made a real friend in Max. Claire treated Jac to some brilliant adventures with a variety of different walks and allowing him to mix with other dogs. He even went to a birthday party of 2 of his new friends whilst on his holidays. Claire made a real effort to get to know Jac and treated him with equally as much love and care as she does her own dog Max and embraced their new found friendship and gave him the best holiday. The amazing photos we received of Jacs holiday will form part of our holiday photo album as Jac clearly had an amazing holiday too. Thank you Donna and especially Claire and Max. X

We have just been away in Cyprus for 10 days,we have a very nervous and needy cockapoo puppy who we know would never cope being put in kennels,we have just had the most fabulous lovely lady called shelagh look after him for 10 days in her home,we were put in touch with shelagh through another amazing lady called donna who runs canine & co home boarding,without the absolute care and kindness and having the time and passion shelagh put into looking after bailey our puppy it is extremely unlikely we would of been able to go away on holiday,we have already booked him in with mommy shelagh for next year😊,so a massive thank you shelagh and donna❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely great service from canine & co this week, especially as I contacted them so last minute to try to find boarding for a few hours on a Saturday. Shelagh who looked after our dog was so lovely and he had a lovely time at her house.
