Our dog was very happy here. She can be a bit skittish around new places, so when she pulled on her leash to head back to the kennel, we knew all was going to well. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Thank you for making our trip a special one!

Dropped our pup off for daycare while we visited the caverns! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They were even able to squeeze our boy in for pawdicure during his stay. Will definitely use again next time we’re in town.

We boarded our German Shepherd while we were visiting Luray. She loved her stay and we were able to get her a bath before we loaded up to go home. Awesome owners. Your dog is gonna love it.

We were visiting Shenandoah National park this weekend and looking for somewhere to leave our dogs. I always nervous to leave them new places but mystic had great reviews. They definitely lived up to their reviews! They even groomed one of my pups while she was there and she looks amazing. They were well taken care of, happy when we picked them up. They were easy to communicate with, gave me updates when I called to check on them, played with them, etc.. would highly recommend to anyone considering. They definitely care about dogs and want to make them feel comfortable during their stay.

Love this place! We’ve been taking our dogs here to get groomed for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. They always get us in the schedule quickly, we don’t have to book a month or more in advance like our previous groomer. The staff is very friendly too, I feel comfortable leaving my dogs with them. And we love the haircuts! They always give you the exact cut you ask for, no surprises here when you pick up! 10/10

I was nervous dropping my dog off for her first time away from me but she did great. She's very anxious. I love the care they gave her and how they took the time to figure out what worked best for Fawn. I'll definitely be using them again when needed. It feels great to find a place you can trust.

Tracy is the BEST! She took care of my two outside fur babies, feeding them 2x a day and sending pictures so I knew they were safe. She is very accommodating and professional. I highly recommend her!!

Tracy is wonderful. My dog is not just a pet but a service dog and means the world to me. On multiple occasions I’ve had emergencies and Tracy has done her best to accommodate me. She is very professional. She keeps me up to date on my dog’s status when she stays over for the night and stops by for potty visits, but also goes the extra mile and sends me hilarious photos and videos. I hate leaving my beast behind but have come to look forward to her texts while away. Such a relief to have a dog walker I can trust!

If I could give this company 10 stars, I would! This was our first time using a Pet Sitting company, and Happy Paws didn’t disappoint one single bit. We have 5 sweet fur babies and they are a lot of work and care. We were gone for 8 days across the U.S, and these girlies did an amazing job with our crew! I was skeptical because we had a bad experience over the summer with a dog boarding company in Gainesville. They came for a meet and greet and were detailed with questions I didn’t think of and pictures of where things are. I was really impressed. The dog walkers are amazingly thorough with detailed accounts of visits with numerous photos. After the first visit report and pictures, I can honestly say my anxiety level dropped dramatically and I felt like we made a great choice. We had an emergency at our house while we were out of state and they took care of our house and pets. I felt like they were family caring for them and we never used them before! The previous owner of Happy Paws was our neighbor and we loved her but this was so above and beyond not only expectations but what they were hired for. I’m no longer worried about going out of town and finding someone to watch my animals. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the people working here are and how grateful I am for them.

We've used Happy Paws for multiple vacations, and we have friends that have as well. I know our dogs benefit from staying at home instead of boarding, and I'm always happy with the service. They communicate very well, they're flexible, and most important of all, they care. It's not much more in cost than regular boarding for this area, and in addition to taking care of your fury friends, you have folks monitoring your home, bringing in mail and packages, taking out trash, watering plants etc... It's worth it for you and your pets!

Katie is absolutely the best!!! I had never left my pets with anyone other than family. I have two golden retrievers, a skittish, shy cat, and a beta fish. Katie came to my home for a meet and greet prior to the dates I needed a pet sitter. My two golden retrievers took to her right away. I knew immediately she would be perfect. She stayed in my home while I was away for my son’s wedding. She would update me with text messages and photos on how all the pets were doing throughout each day. I was able to enjoy my son’s wedding and never once did I worry about my pets. When I returned home, she had left very detailed reports cards for each pet for each day she cared for them. She also left my pets gifts, along with a thank you note. She did things that I did not even expect of her, such as taking out the trash and washing the bed linens and towels she used while staying in my home. I will absolutely always call Katie whenever I need a pet sitter. She is punctual, friendly, very detailed, experienced, professional, polite, and wonderful with the pets she cares for.

Katie is incredible! She is kind, thorough, attentive, responsive and animals love her. Plus she makes planning and paying super easy (appreciate being able to use Zelle or Venmo)! I contacted Katie with a last minute request to take care of my Mom's cat while she was in the hospital. She responded quickly and was even willing to adjust her schedule to accommodate my request. The cat is super skittish - but came out to say hello to Katie. She's an animal whisper. :) She took great care of the cat and even went above & beyond by purchasing more litter when I was running low. WOW! is all I can say about the incredible care and service my pup (Sophie) received this summer when Katie stayed in our house to dog-sit for a week. Sophie is an older dog who does not get along well with other dogs and cannot be crated. She's a little quirky and we needed someone who understood her. During the meet and greet, Sophie fell in love with Katie- nothing but tail wags and kisses; it was clear Katie was able to speak Sophie's language. While we were gone, Katie sent us pictures of the pup. Sophie always looked happy. When we returned home after a week, Katie had left daily report cards for Sophie's activities each day we were gone. When we arrived home, the house was immaculate and Sophie was a happy girl- but she would still go into the guest room and look for her new best friend, Katie, for a couple of days after we returned. Katie cared for Sophie and our house as if they were her own and we could not recommend her more or give her high enough praise. She went way above and beyond what we expected and we couldn't be more grateful. Be prepared for your pet to be treated like royalty when Katie comes to take care of them- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I moved to the area a couple of years ago and struggled to find a pet sitter that I could trust to take care of my fur babies (with special needs) while I was on vacation. I am thrilled that I found Katie. She is absolutely the BEST! Not only did she keep me up to date on the day to day goings on, she kept a daily log to track all medicines she administered and wrote a daily report card for each of my pets. On top of that, she went above and beyond with little things, that together were big things. I highly recommend Katie!

BEST PET SITTER EVER!!!!!! Katie did so much for my two kitties for the week we were away; from daily photos/videos and updates, to even throwing a little 4th of July themed birthday party for the kitties!! I have quite high expectations for anyone watching my babies, and she exceeded them entirely. She’s walks my puppy during the day so he can get some energy out and get some exercise while I’m at a work and let me just say he looks SO SO SOOOO happy in all of the pictures she sent! Katie was ‘a dog whisperer’ with our elderly dog. Recommend her unequivocably. She house/dog sat. All was perfect. She left cute and informative ‘report cards’ detailing our dog daily activities.

This boarding facility is very close to home for me so I thought it was a good pick. I booked online for my pets and accidentally got the dates wrong so I called to see if they could change it to the correct dates for me. The owner answered the phone and was nice enough to do so but she did come off a little rude. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if I could visit the facility before boarding my dogs. It was the day before Thanksgiving and she warned me they may not have time. totally understandable. I let her know I’d still check in. It comes to the day of the visit and I also brought my wife to make sure she was also comfortable with our pets staying here. The facility is clean and looks great on the outside. We walk in and it is also clean inside. I let the older lady (assuming this is the owner) at the desk know I was wondering if we could get a walk through. She and the older man sitting next to her immediately shake their head saying today was not a good day and included that they were leaving soon. Mind you: We arrive shortly after opening and there wasn’t a lot going on from what we could see. The walk through took less than 5mins…… The facility is clean. The employee that gave us the tour was nice but the spaces for the animals are advertised as luxury and being from the city they resemble closer animal shelter kennels. The owners overall attitude is the reason we would not board here ever. Please go in and tour the facility. You’ll understand my review when you do.

I reached out regarding an online reservation on a holiday weekend, wanting to confirm if they actually had availability or not. I was immediately greeting with a young lady who was extremely unpleasant and seemed to lack customer service phone skills. She picked up the call and did not provide her name or any detail other than “Hello, Creature Comfort.” I processed to introduce myself and explain why I was calling. When I asked if they actually had space for my reservation that was booked online, she gave me a stern one worded “No.” She maybe said 3 words total on that call, I was extremely taken back by the lack of professionalism during that brief interaction. Not a very great first impression from a business stand point by any means. I would not feel comfortable leaving my pets at a facility where they are not able to answer a customer call with respect.

My dog stayed for four days. He seemed perfectly chilled coming back home not stressed or anxious to get out. This was his first kennel stay. He's 11 months. The owner gave me a tour and I paid for some extra play time. The facility looked and smelled clean. I'd return if required.👍 …

If I could give Creature Comfort 6 stars I would! They take such good care of our two large dogs. We have been taking our dogs here for over 4 years. We pass a lot of other kennels along the way during our 60 mile drive to drop off our babies, but we know they are in the best hands while we are away.

Tammy and her team have been doing an amazing job of taking care of my 2 Rottweilers since they were puppies. One has developed epilepsy over the years. They have no problem caring for him and administering his meds. It means a lot to have a place we can trust to care for our pets when we are away. Thanks to you all.

Creature Comfort Inn is 1.5 hours away from us and WELL worth the trip to leave our dog. We have boarded our dog with them twice now. When we picked up our dog this time, the owner took the time to note minor behavior differences she saw in our pup between his first and second boarding. The Inn offers many services for the dogs each day for an additional fee (group play, snuggle time, extra walks, etc) that we plan to take advantage of next time! You can tell these folks love the pups they care for.

Large property in a country setting. great area for my dog to run! They took wonderful care of my dog during the week he was boarded there. they provide a lot of services. Kennels were clean, and a good size. Will be returning with Boo for daycare and training!

A wonderful place to board my dogs. I've been using Dogwoods Pet Lodge for years. Brenda takes the best care of my fur babies. The runs are covered and the kennels are heated and cooled. My two yorkies got so sick this last trip we were on, and she went far and above taking care of them. She bought pedialyte, chicken, rice, and pumpkin to nurse them. She actually had to feed one of them with a syringe and didn't charge us. She excercises the animals and keeps a close watch on them. The kennels are next to her home which makes things so much better. It's also a wonderful place for dog grooming. They do a great job!!

Happy to have watched her business flourish over the years and becoming a full boarding kennel as well as the grooming business. Hands down THE BEST!

These ladies were awesome. We needed our dog housed for a few days and they were just so friendly and kind. I recommend them to everyone.

I spent all day last Thursday (10/10/19) attempting to get a hold of this company to no avail. Their number rang and went to voicemail and there was no ability to leave a voicemail as the mailbox was full. I went online to their website and it hasn't been updated since February of 2013 and states that they do not accept credit card payments. I am glad they did not answer because if it is this difficult to get in touch with them I do not want my dog staying there.

My girl Luna loves Happy Hounds!! She’s so excited to come and see all of her friends. Everyone who works there is so positive, welcoming, and really care for your pups! She comes home with all of her energy out. They also post pictures everyday which I love. I never have to worry about her while I’m at work!

My baby, Rickey, loves Happy Hounds! I thought he would go a couple of days a week but it has turned into 6 days a week and the occasional boarding. He is a high energy, blue heeler, and the evenings of him just sleeping are worth every single visit! Marcie is so kind as is every employee at Happy Hounds. I personally think my favorite part is how excitedly he is greeted with “Hi Rickey!” at drop off in the mornings. Doesn’t everybody want to take their fur babies somewhere where they know they’re going to be loved, cared for, and thoroughly exhausted when they’re picked up. 🤗

Such a great doggy day care. Zemo LOVES to play, so we had to try this place out because it had been recommended by a few friends. We've been taking Zemo to Happy Hounds for about a year now and it's been an awesome way for him to socialize off leash and get some energy out. The folks who work at Happy Hounds are fantastic with Zemo and we are so thankful for this place. PS - Happy Hounds often take lots of photos during the day to share on the Facebook page, which is really fun to see at the end of the day. Here are just a few I've saved. :)

My dog, Jamie, absolutely loves going to Happy Hounds! When we say 'do you want to go to daycare' she immediately runs the door and sits there wagging her tail until we are ready to take her. Jamie is a very skittish dog, and needs some patience/grace until she gets comfortable - which is exactly what the Happy Hounds staff gave her. I now see her extremely happy to interact with the staff and other dogs which tells me she is treated well and happy. The dogs get a lot of playtime and Jamie always comes home extremely tired - you know what they say: a tired dog is a HAPPY dog. We are very thankful for Happy Hounds and would highly recommend!

Happy Hounds Doggie Day Care is amazing, and Marcie has an exceptional knowledge of dogs. My dog Spencer has been going for about two years, and when I got my second dog, Murphy, a little over a year ago, he also began attending. They're both balls of energy at home without daycare, but going to daycare at least once a week, let's them release a ton of energy and makes them much calmer at home. I highly recommend Happy Hounds to anyone with a dog considering day care!

Happy hounds is quite possibly heaven on earth for dogs. I’ve been bringing my stupidly energetic dog there for roughly six months and she LOVES it! She’s excited to get there in the mornings and hates leaving in the afternoons. Marcie (the owner) is an amazing person who truly has an unparalleled love for dogs. For those worried about the 2 bad reviews, don’t. Marcie, along with all of her employees, are the truest of dog lovers. Lots of love for the happy hounds crew!

We moved to Alaska and no place compares to happy hounds. I wish we’d move back just for this place. Our dog who was super scared of most places absolutely LOVED going. He always came home so tired and content. Their daily photos and videos still make my day.

I am a very protective dog mom. I am serious when I say my dog is my everything. Paws of hope has been fantastic. This is the first place I have felt actually comfortable to leave my baby there. They send me text updates (and pictures) and answer all of my questions. They truly go above and beyond for my dog. I cannot recommend them enough. They really treat your dog like their own. My dog is so exciting to go there each time. I can go on vacation comfortably knowing that he is well taken care of.

As a first time puppy mom, I was SO anxious about leaving my little one home while my fiancé and I were at work. Thanks to Amy and John, they alleviated all my stress!!! Both Amy and John provide helpful and caring advice, along with their genuine interactions. With the home check-ins, Amy will text you great updates and AWESOME pictures of her and your fur baby. With my fiancé and I’s schedule being up in the air sometimes, Amy does a FANTASTIC job by touching base with you and confirming the upcoming days! I definitely recommend Paws of Hope!

I cannot give Paws of Hope enough praise for the work that they do. The exercise and socialization that my dog gets is incredible. Their experience and knowledge of all types of dogs makes them a perfect place for your gentle lap dog or hyper husky. My dog could not be in better hands while I travel.

Our first time boarding our sweet dog (Nyla) while taking a trip 4 hours away. It was the best experience we could have had! John & his team kept us updated how she was doing. Even posted videos & pics of her having the time of her life! They were even able to cut her nails!!! Which Nyla never lets anyone touch her nails! Highly recommend Paws of Hope!

We send our two dogs to them when we go out of town and know they are in the best of hands! Amy is wonderful with communicating and paying attention to my dogs. Sending us updates throughout the day with photos of the pups. The dogs have the best of time with them and we know they are in great care. John and Amy provide a lot of services, including pick-up and drop-off, and nail trims! We've been very grateful for these services, having to schedule a last minute drop-off and appreciated them being so accommodating, it was worth every cent! I appreciate that Amy took the time to schedule a 'meet and greet' with me and our furry family before their first stay. Amy and John were recommended to us from friends and I was very nervous having my dogs away, but Amy assured me with her experience and set-up that the dogs were safe and in a clean yard! I cannot recommend Amy and John enough, I love supporting small business owners and you can really sleep soundly at night knowing your dogs are in the great care of John and Amy!

Kenneled my dogs. Went to pick up my dogs, and they said they'd bring out the leftover food. Ended up bringing me a bag of dried food when I brought in cans. After finally bringing out the right cans, there were 3 extra cans, so they weren't feeding them every day, if at all; since they can't even get the food right. Then had to ask for my stuff I brought for them back, and they said they were washing the blanket because they had an accident. I told them I brought in multiple toys and clothes. They went to the back to check again, and said they actually did have it all. I asked them to bring out all the stuff and my dogs separate because IDK how I'm supposed to walk 2 dogs to my car, carry all the extra food, and a 13 gallon trashbag. Had to complain to the clerk a couple times before she offered to walk the dogs to my truck while I carried all the stuff. If this is just checkout, IDK how they managed the dogs. My baby girl is much more lean than when I picked her up

I come to this place and wash 4 of my dogs here. The easy in and out is what I like about this place. Safety & Cleanliness is important to me. The staff is always super nice and friendly.

We come in semi-regularly for grooming and unscheduled nail trims. They do a wonderful job with my long-haired chihuahua. He always comes home excited and and smelling amazing. We have had great grooms every time we came. They also require vaccination records, so we feel safe that our dog won't be around other dogs with kennel cough, and other harmful diseases. And the staff is friendly and efficient.

Brought my dog here for their self pet wash station. The folks here are friendly and helpful, and my typically standoffish around new people pup was social and greeted the girl there. Which to me says a lot. The place is very clean, and they sell some chew treats and toys here too. The pet wash station includes a pro blow dryer to get thick fluffy coats fully dry and looking their best. We would definitely recommend this place, and I'm sure we'll be back again.

We took our 18 year old cat to get her nails done and we have also taken our Golden retriever to be groomed and they to a great job and are very personable too!

Dogs had a great time visiting. They can't wait to get more dirt on them to come back.

This bath was the best! No cold hose water from the backyard, and I could step right into the tub! Mom scrubbed me down in toasty warm water and blew out my coat with the high powered drying snake! Alexandra is a very caring and thoughtful person. I’m always a bit nervous the first time someone new stays with our terrier, Rudy, but she put my worries to rest the very first day by sending lots of pictures and staying in touch. I’ve already scheduled her next stay with us!

We have 2 rottweilers who can be intimidating to anyone. Our male can be "selective" in who he likes. He LOVES Alex. She is very much a dog handler/lover. Alex allowed our dogs to sniff her before she reached towards them. This is so important for an aggressive breed. My husband is a worrier about our dogs, just like the first time we left our children with a baby sitter. Alex provides photos, communication via text or phone calls, and addresses any concerns pet owners may have. I 100% recommend Alex to care for your pets while you are unavailable. Just don't let her get too busy whereby she is not available to watch our animals!

Alex has been a great resource for dog care. I have left my dog in her care several times and I always feel good about dropping my dog off with her. She has an adorable dog who loves to play with my dog. Alex is great about getting the dogs out for walks and hikes in nature. She really loves animals and it shows. I highly recommend her services!

Alex has taken care of our three cats twice now. We used to really stress about traveling and ensuring our cats were well taken care of, but Alex has helped us feel so much better about traveling. She's professional and responsive and sends us daily updates. Our cats have lots of needs (different feeding schedules, meds, lots of petting), and Alex has managed all of that seamlessly. They can also be wary of new people, so we were shocked to see how quickly our scarediest cat warmed right up to Alex. It feels great to leave them with her! I highly recommend Alex.

Alex is the best dog walker/pet sitter we have worked with... period. She truly cares for the well being of our two dogs and does everything possible to accommodate them. When we leave town for a long duration we have no worries that they will be very well taken care of. She regularly updates us regarding how they are doing. Every time our dogs go on a walk with her they are totally spent. We could not have asked for anything better.

We're overjoyed to have found Alex to look after our pets. Freedom to take off and go on overnights anywhere was seriously limited with our 3 year old Sheltie and two 4 year old Ragdoll cats. All three must have love, play, and care for most of the day to be happy. The idea of leaving them alone or in a kennel was not an option for us; our worry and guilt would have been overwhelming. Then we met Alex! She happily accommodated my need for her to get to know the 3 over time before we left for our 2 week vacation. She completely accepts my love for my pets and never makes me feel like i am a bit over the top! :) and she loves animals. All three were happy as could be when we returned after 2 weeks, the house was tidy and fur free and the boxes/potty areas all were clean and wonderfully kept up with. She had even brought a dog toy present for our Sheltie! It was over Christmas. Since that trip whenever I say "ALEX is coming" our dog runs to the front door wagging his tail and waiting impatiently. For a Sheltie this is a biggie! I've had her take care of them again on a weekend, and I even ask her to come by and play with our dog once in a while just to keep up their relationship. We like her that much! :) We can plan college visits to see our daughter and mini-holidays now whenever we want, all because we found Alex! A huge THANK YOU, Alex. We all appreciate you.

Alex is not only a impeccable person but when it comes to the well being of your Animals there is no one like her. I have top show horses that need Supreme care 247 and Alex went above and beyond what I had asked or needed her to do. I always hate leaving my two cats, but knowing Alex is caring for them is a huge relief. She spends some time with them and I really appreciate the pictures she sends. It's so nice to receive visual reassurance each day that my cats are happy and being well cared for.
