Natalie took great care of it dog and cats! She was clean, organized, conscientious, and communicative. Our dog had a small cut on his foot and Natalie took great care to help him heal. I would highly recommend Natalie as a house sitter and pet sitter!
Kelly was an excellent sitter for us. She communicated well, before the sit and during the sit. When we got home, the dogs and our guinea pig were happy and well. Kelly was dependable and showed up exactly on time. The house was well maintained and clean when we arrived home. We would definitely host Kelly again.
Leah & Elias, were an absolute joy as housesitters. They arrived a day early so we could all meet and go over the pets routine. Our cat is relatively new and has a little separation anxiety but they managed his care really well. Our dog needed to be dropped off at a sitters and they took care of that as well. We also came home to a clean and neat house! Overall, they went above and beyond and I highly recommend them.
Evan and Maria were fabulous. They are experienced sitters and it shows in their independence. They sent regular updates, but not too regular and were totally self sufficient. Most importantly both the house and dog were perfect when we returned home.
I’m sure most folks say the nicest things about their sitter, but honestly, if there were a “super star” status available then Denise would win the prize as sitter of the year! From the start, Denise was an excellent communicator. While we were still in the decision phase, Denise was always available to chat either by FaceTime, telephone or text. It was so easy to choose Denise; as you can see from her countless 5 star reviews, she truly is the only pet sitter you’d ever need and the one everyone hopes to have. Denise came to our house eager to meet us, our pets and the quirks of our house. Denise has an excellent sense of humor and immediately put us all at ease. Our pets took to her as if she was a long lost friend (even our finicky Siamese cat was loving on her from the start). While we were gone, our dog had a non-emergency health issue come up and just like that Denise was taking her to our vet, and administered the dog’s meds like a champion (Denise is also a nurse BTW). Additionally, Denise brought our pup to her scheduled groom appointments and even made future appointments for us to make our return home as seamless as possible. Denise was even above and beyond helpful to our neighbors and they appreciated her giving them access to our refrigerator when theirs broke down on Thanksgiving Eve! When we got home we were super impressed by how perfectly immaculate our house was! Most sitters leave the house clean, but Denise met and may have even exceeded our military standards of clean and orderly. Seriously, our house felt like we never left it. Everything was spotless, shinny and clean. She didn’t miss a beat!! Our pets were so happy to see us but honestly, I felt like our pup and kitty were disappointed when we walked in the door (I believe they were expecting to see Denise!). Haha. If you are ever fortunate enough to have Denise apply for any of your sits then I can’t recommend her enough. Seriously, you can stop reviewing applicants and just go with Denise. She was awesome in every sense of the word and I hope she’ll come back and stay with our pets again.
Angela Gandolfo and Erica Piazza came to stay at our house while we were away on vacation for two weeks. Our two dogs are a handful, but these two lovely women took such good care of them. They spoiled them even more than we do, which is perfect. We got photos every day, and when we came home our house was tidy and there were clean sheets on the bed. I couldn't have asked for better house and pet sitters than these two women. They communicated well with us, and if they had questions, they asked. It was a pleasure to work with both Angela and Erica. We had to cut our vacation short because of a death in the family. It was really stressful, but once again, Angela and Erica were flexible and understanding. It made a difficult time easier, knowing that things at home were being managed so well. I'm hoping that if we ever have to go away again for such a long time, I will be able to get these two back here again! (hint hint) Thank you, Angela and Erica!
Alexandria was by far our best sitter yet (and we've had excellent zeewoi sitters)! She was responsible, self sufficient and very responsive. She took the time to come meet our dog ahead of time and to run through the routine before our trip. She was communicative and sent great pics of her adventures with Rupee while we were away. She was extremely clean and followed our household routine. And to top it al off, she left us with a homemade vegetable soup for our jet lagged return home from Europe! Alexandria is a wonderful, kind and caring person that I am grateful to have met. I cannot thank you enough Alexandria!
Mikayla was a superb house/dog sitter for us for one full week. She was an excellent communicator, very quiet and tidy (respectful of the space) and best of all she quickly bonded with our big dog Mouse. She cheerfully took her for long walks and shared photo updates regularly. I highly recommend Mikayla.
Melissa and Chris are amazing. We are very picky about our dog sitters, and we chose them because they have been doing this for a long time and track your wants and needs carefully and follow through with utmost care and integrity. They offered to come the day before we left to meet Winnie so that we could rest in that she would trust them and connect to them. Honestly, we would hire them as our only dog sitter all of the time if we could. I cannot thank them enough and say enough good things about them. They also took very good care of our house and plants.
Ranji was a wonderful pet sitter for my dog Zoe and was very easy to communicate with and kept me informed. She took wonderful care of our condo and wouldn’t hesitate to have her in my new home in NJ if she wants to check out a new area.

We had a graduation to attend in Augusta and Sarah was nice enough to accommodate us on short notice and babysit our baby mini schnauzer. This is a great place to have for people that work and need someone to entertain their pup. Try them out!
Best place in the CSRA for dog sitting! The owners are kind, caring and lovable to our sweet lab. We cannot recommend them enough! Bring your fur babies here for extended loves while you are away.
Super friendly staff. They will work with you if you need to reschedule or desire to extend your dog’s stay. Even my rescue dog who acts like we are going to abandon her when we go to the car, becomes happy once we get into the building. I am a very satisfied customer.
We take our two dogs here from time to time and they always love it. They are great with all sizes of dog. One of our dogs is usually very timid but absolutely loves going here. She now runs to the car when it's time to to. Staff is always very friendly and there hours are great.
Awesome place to have your pet stay overnight, staff is very friendly and treats your pet like their own. Friendly and warming environment when you enter and very clean, cause that's one of my pet peeves is walking into a place and meeting rude people and seeing a place not clean at all, we went on a three day trip and came back to a happy dog. Our dog Autumn was groomed just the way I wanted her and they provided food and sleeping supplies for me since I had forgot to bring her things with me when I dropped her off. Their prices are very affordable and being in the military the discount is awesome, thank you Dawg Tired staff, will definitely use your services again.
I am so glad I found this Gem of a place! Its easy to get to, great parking, and terrific staff. The facility is very clean and designed with the dogs in mind. Plenty of area for dogs to play in a cage-free environment. The large dogs are separated from the small dogs, which having a small dog I appreciate. There is a huge indoor climate controlled bark park and an outside space as well. If you don't like leaving your dog at home alone, or just want your babies to get some socialization THIS is the place to bring them. The price is perfect and they offer 1/2 day rates which is great! Two thumbs up from this dog owner!
I picked my dog Mac up from about a week of boarding to find that he had a gaping wound in his front right leg. Upon pickup, one of the unpleasant employees was quick to rush me out the door and saying repeatedly that Mac did not need to see a vet and it was just a small scratch. Upon further evaluation of the "scratch" it was clearly infected and very deep (literally to the bone). I brought Mac to the vet the following day and was informed that he did indeed need stitches, required sedation for the stitches, needed heavy antibiotics, and it was infected. This all cost nearly $400 in total to treat what was deemed as a "scratch" by the employees and owner at Dawg Tired. Dawg Tired did not call me at any point to inform me about the injury, or seek the medical advice of a vet. They claim to have treated him with antibiotic ointment, which was a treatment plan they came up with all on their own (again, did not consult myself or a veterinarian). While Mac has boarded here in the past, he has also come home with two of his harnesses and a rather pricey flea collar completely in shreds. When I brought all of these issues to the owners attention, he somehow found a way to place the blame on Mac and offered no sort of solutions, compensation for the vet bill or destroyed property Mac had been returned home with on three separate occasions, or even an apology. I am very disappointed as I was boarding my dog here several times per month over the last year, as I am active duty military and travel often for work. I would absolutely warn against bringing a pet here for ANY type of care, as there is clearly no protocol or policy in place for destroyed belongings, serious injuries to the pets, or even an unsatisfied customer. If I could give negative stars on this review, I absolutely would.
Dawg Tired is the best! My dog was initially apprehensive, but after a week she was excited and ready to play when we would walk in the door for daycare! They are very efficient; I walk in and they immediately take my dog and I can head off to work. And they are open until 7pm which is a huge bonus because I work until 6pm most days, when other daycares close. The staff are very friendly and everyone knows and cares about my dog. And the pricing is the best around that I’ve seen. Couldn’t be happier!
4 paws up. Dawg Tired is a pup and customer freindly place. Their doggy day care, boarding and grooming are all top shelf. They are my dog's home away from home. 5 years of exceptional care and we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!
The owner/manager, Sarah was quite curt and snippy about policy. Never addressed me personally or talked to me about the facility. The front desk staff, except for Leah was socially inept, didn't have enough communication skills to answer questions. When I picked up Chip at 530p they had.put him in a cage (not a crate)without my permission so they could clean the play room. Explained he was the last one and they close at 7p. After 2 months, I won't be returning. I did address my concerns with the co-owner husband, he said he would get their side but he doesn't force people to come and bring their pets. Honestly it could be a great.place...but it's really a blank.buildimg with a dirt yard to play in, no grass, no activities.
We started bringing Lilly here last year for daycare because of her severe separation anxiety while we were away at work, and very quickly, the staff made us feel like family! They love her like she is their own, and it is absolutely priceless to know that your baby is safe while you're away. Lilly loves going to see her friends, and I can see just how happy she is when I drop her off and pick her up! They have our full trust, and I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of us.
This is my first time back here in years after living out of the country for a while. I first called after hours and for a call back about 30 minutes later. Told them what I wanted and he told me to “come on at 7:30am Friday”. I was there and was greeted and also helped by several of the staff members. I’ll continue to bring my poodle back, and continue To give Great reviews on this business. Thank you again for Taking care of Ivy’s first grooming. #StandardPoodle #AKC
My dog looks like a rat. I drop her off at 7:30 in the morning when she called me the first time to pick her up around five or six she was like oh I know you said you didn’t want to cut a lot of hairs around, but we tried to Save much as she can but in 10 minutes, she was like if you’re not here she was gonna lock the door so I got there by 10 minutes. She was already gone so I had to call the emergency number on the door to try to get him to open the door so I can pay pay for her and get her when I saw her she looked exactly how she looked in the picture. Her haircut was patchy and she have a bald spot
First time coming to this grooming facility. Highly recommended from a friend. Thank you so much for filling our shih tzus in. The staff is very nice, attentive to our animals. One of my pets suffers with seizures, the staff made sure to tend to his needs and be very mindful and sensitive with his grooming. They all looked amazing. If you’re looking for great care with your pets grooming please consider this location. I have tried several in the Augusta Area, and by far this is my favorite. Thank you again everyone ! See you soon!
I was so hesitant about boarding our golden retriever puppy, but The Animal Boutique earned every star! They kept me updated, sent pictures every time we asked, and most importantly, loved on him! My family was so impressed with their customer service! He was also bathed before we picked up and he looked so well taken of! We will definitely be using them again!
I took my Australian shepherd Willow here for grooming and they did an amazing job on her! They did everything that I asked for and were so kind and welcoming! I will definitely be coming back!
Animal Boutique are/were by far the best cat groomers in town, hands down. They were so good with my two kittens who are terrified and skittish. I am not sure what technique they used, but it was some kind of "fear-free" technique where my girls gave the groomers no issues during bathing or nail-clipping. It is my understanding they no longer offer grooming services for cats (perhaps the website should be updated if this is the case?), but I would love to do business with them again, if this service becomes available in the future. Super awesome staff, and I don't know if I can find any other company that is as gentle with my girls as Animal Boutique is. I am very heartbroken :-(
My wife and I love using Animal Boutique for our pet’s boarding needs. The customer service is great. We always feel like they love our little Yorkie princess like she’s their own.
I do not recommend taking your cat here. I was looking for some help with my long-haired cat, and most groomers only do dogs. I called, and the woman I talked to said they could give what she called a "sanitary trim". When I brought him early that morning as instructed, the place was already loud with dogs barking and I was worried about the stress it would cause my cat. I decided to drop him off anyway, thinking this was just a few dogs that would calm down, and assuming that the cat area would be far enough away. Besides, as I said, it's hard to find a place that will do cats. The woman told me they would call me when it was time to get him, and gave me an estimated time of when to expect it. I waited all day, until finally I just called them myself. I had dropped him off right at opening time, it was long past the estimated time I'd been given, and I was worried. The woman said he'd been ready for a long time, and claimed that someone had called me, but they hadn't. When I told her they had not called me, she insisted they did. (After I hung up, I double-checked the call log on my phone just to be sure I hadn't missed a call, but I definitely did not have a missed call from any phone number at all.) But there was no point in arguing about that; it wouldn't change anything and I was just upset that he'd been there any longer than necessary. I went to get him, and the din from so many dogs barking was worse than that morning. They brought my cat to me in his carrier, I paid, we left. When I got home and let him out of his carrier (which I couldn't do before we left because I definitely was not going to let him out in a terrifyingly loud place full of dogs), I could not tell that they'd done anything at all! I was not about to take him back for them to actually do it. So my poor cat went through this horrible experience for nothing, I paid money for nothing, and I was lied to: both about something as simple as a phone call, and that they done what I took him there for when they had done nothing. This was some months ago (it only just occurred to me that I could warn other cat parents by writing this), so I don't remember names, and to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe things have changed. Maybe they got rid of the person or people who didn't do anything and who lied. Maybe all grooming places are this loud - I've never been in one before this. But saying you'll take cats, and then being full of barking dogs that sound like they're right on the other side of the door behind the counter from the get-go (what must it sound like when you actually go back there?), means you either know nothing about cats or you don't care, and either way this is not a place to take your cat to.
I’ve been bringing my dog here for about 2 years now and they never disappoint. They are so nice at the front desk and my dog absolutely loves going to see his furry friends! I will always recommend this place to all of my family & friends!
This young lady is awesome! She takes great care of our pets, When we travel. Wonderful personality. A truly loving, caring animal person. Very affordable.
Cannot recommend this place enough! We needed a place to board our dog in a pinch so we called Paws in Paradise on a Monday. The people over the phone were SO nice and helpful. They got us a temperament test scheduled for the next day (it took from 10am to 5pm) and we could tell our dog had a blast because he was super sad to leave. We have a Rottweiler who is super sweet but he can be a lot of energy, so we were a little nervous on how he tested but they said he did great with people and other big dogs. Then we boarded him the next day from Wednesday to Friday. This place has 24/7 camera access wherever your dog goes, so you can watch them hang out in their room or play with other dogs. Also, the staff is amazing. I was watching the cameras at one point and I saw that our dog had peed on his bed. Not even 5 minutes later, a staff member came in and cleaned the whole room. They are very attentive to the pets’ needs and you can tell how much they care! You can also add on different services, such as ice cream for your dog or having them read your dog a bedtime story or give them a massage. We added on daily training for our dog to help him stop pulling on the leash and the trainer Isin was phenomenal, and upon pickup he provided us with ways to keep up the training at home. This place also sends you daily emails on how your pet did that day! We can tell our dog had an amazing time and he definitely didn’t want to leave. He immediately came home and fell asleep and he is still knocked out on the couch.
We made the hard decision to take our 6 month old german shepherd puppy (Nala) to obedience training. After searching around in our area we found Brittany Moss we decided to do the 3 week board and train that Paws in Paradise offers. From initial contact with Brittany we felt like we had made the right decision. She reassured us that our baby would be in good hands and not even for a second did we question that after meeting her! She updated and informed us of Nala's progress way more than we could have ever asked for (not to mention the live cameras in the facility to view our baby at all times). Brittany is INCREDIBLE and is definitely doing exactly what she was put on this Earth to do. You can tell in all of her training that she puts her heart and soul into every moment with the animals left in her care. Nala fell in love with her and so did we! The other staff was amazing too (Isaac, Nick, and many others: THANK YOU!) We will definitely be using their day care, spa, and boarding services in the near future and from now on!
We take our dogs here for both grooming and boarding and they are wonderful. Grace is, without a doubt, the best groomer we have ever had. I have one dog who's fairly hyper at times and another who doesn't always enjoy bath time and both LOVE Grace. Grace is the only human I could ever see my dogs abandoning my husband and me for. She is such a kind, loving soul. Truly, if there were more "Graces" out there, the world would be a better place. Thank you for taking such good care of our furbabies. As long as we live here, this is the only place we will take our animals. Highly recommend Paws in Paradise and Grace.
Our bull doodle, Bear has been going to Paws in Paradise for several months. He plays pretty hard, is very mouthy and had a hard time knowing when enough was enough. We decided it was time for some training. So we scheduled a 2 week board and train with Brittany Moss. Today was his last day. We could not be happier. She did an amazing job. She went over the commands Bear was trained to respond to. Tonight is his first night home and so far, we have used the commands she showed us to use and he is responding well. We would recommend Brittany to anyone who needs there dog to get training. Thank you, Brittany!
My doodle can be quite the trouble maker at the groomer & Alyssa has always been so patient & kind with him! I highly recommend her for your high anxiety pets ❤️❤️❤️
I am not a regular here but have used them a few times in the past. I have always been pleased with everyone there, until today. I am not a complainer but here is what happened. I had appointment for two dogs to be bathed and groomed. Due to my mistake I thought the appointment was Thursday not today (Wednesday). They called and asked about the appointment. I apologized for the confusion. I was told if I could get the dogs there by 830 (appointment was at 8) all would be fine. I called my girlfriend because I was at work and she literally pulled in the parking lot at 830. By the time she parked and got both dogs inside she was told it was 833 and they would not take the dogs. As she was inside pleading her case they called me and told me I would need to reschedule because the dogs got there at 833. I told her that I thought three minutes making that difference was ridiculous. (Conversational tone not angry). The female was very rude and short in tone and said they were 33 minutes late not 3 minutes. I was amazed. I have never had this type of experience there. I know it was mostly my fault but her attitude was uncalled for.
Kia is our new favorite groomer. She even got my dog's face round the way it looks the best on him! The Health Coordinator (can't remember her name) is the very best for anal gland expression if your dog has issues like mine. She also has a lot of knowledge to help keep healthy pets. They give military discounts! I think a chip is only $25 which is a steal! Thank you very much Paws in Paradise!
We brought our 3 year old goldendoodle here over Labor Day weekend (fri-mon) for boarding. He is usually an anxious pup at first when boarded, but settles in nicely after getting acclimated. We paid the extra fee to watch the webcams and have extra goodies for him, and were disappointed to see that his outside / play time was limited to under 15 minutes, and most times was actually under 10. He spent most of the day locked in the room looking sad, and on Saturday night (Sunday morning) at our last check-in between midnight and 12:30 am the lights were still on in his area. My biggest concern and reason for writing this review is in the treatment my pup received. On Saturday I watched as he had an accident in his room. Someone with a hoodie that said manager on the back cleaned the soil with what looked like paper towels and a spray bottle without removing the blankets we brought. As I said earlier he does get anxious when first boarded, so we figured that’s what happened. On Sunday morning my husband received a call that our pup had “a little bit of blood” in his stool. This was a major red flag because this has never happened before, so we let them know we would pick him up ASAP but we were a couple hours drive away. When we picked up our dog he had blood and stool all over his back and butt. An alarming amount, not “a little” as we were told, and it was fresh - not what you’d anticipate. An employee handed us his bloody soiled blanket and let us know “this needs to be washed.” We took our dog straight to the emergency vet and had to give him medication for 3 days. These people didn’t even have the decency to rinse my dog off before giving him to us and were absolutely terrible. Please consider a different establishment that will give you a luxury experience, not just an expensive one.
My 5-year-old rescue Sheltie has enjoyed two spa visits to Paws in Paradise so far. Summer has done a great job grooming her both times. Her undercoat is very thick, and she needs deshedding to remove the loose fur. My pup always looks so tidy and happy after being groomed here.
Just brought my 3 yr. Mini doodle in to Summer for the first time and I have to say she was wonderful and very patient with him. He was a challenge but she gave me some tips to work with him to make the next groom easier. He has trust issues and with consistency over time he will gain that trust with her. Thank you Summer!😊 I also have been using a trainer working on his behavior and Brittany is wonderful. She’s very patient and caring. You girls rock!!!
Have been coming to four paws for 4 years now. Since our dogs were puppies. They take great care of them. The employees are always excited to see our pups and in return our pups love them! Would highly recommend.
We took our dog, Annie, to stay at Four Paws and we could not be happier with the care our dog received. The facility is clean, colorful and smells so nice! The people are friendly to both humans and pets. We felt as if our dog would be well cared for and we were not disappointed. We highly recommend Four Paws. We will definitely be using them for all boarding and grooming needs!
It was my first time boarding my fur babies. I was appreciative to be able to call and check on them as often as I liked. Very friendly staff and very clean place. They took good care of my fur babies!
Staff are so caring and this means a lot to us because we have a dog with a disability.
Four Paws are super amazing. We have been with them for years and they take great care of my fur babies. They are also very personable, after my oldest furbaby passed they sent us a card filled with condolences from everyone on staff and that was so heartfelt and I couldn't thank them enough.
Excellent facility. Our dog came.back clean, healthy, happy. Cannot ask for more. Highly recommend this facility for your animal for boarding and bath.
I have an English Bulldog named Pancake and these ladies just gave us such a warm welcome and took to Pancake like they knew him forever and they are always able to take care of my needs on my last minute trips and Pancake just loves to go there. Highly recommend to anyone.
My husband and I have used Four Paws many times over the past few years for boarding and grooming. Our dog is large breed He is very high strung and he doesn’t really like to be around anyone but us. But he loves the staff and always seems at ease and happy with them. It’s our favorite place to board him. They are extremely friendly, professional, gentle and kind and reasonably priced. I would give 10 stars ⭐️ if it was an option! Andrea B
I have been taking my dogs to Four Paws since I moved to the CSRA eight years ago. The team took excellent care of my geriatric dog, even with her bad hips and failing health. I never worried about leaving her there for a few days, she loved the Four Paws ladies! They truly care for our pets and do a great job making them feel at home while we are away.
We have three VERY large dogs that Four Paws has groomed now twice for us... the dogs always look fantastic. I was very impressed at the level of grooming that was completed. They took their time to make sure the dogs looked good. I would recommend them to anyone.
The kennel we normally use is damaged due to Hurricane Helene, so I've been trying to find a boarder for several upcoming trips I have planned. I contacted Sugg's via Facebook messenger (as they say they don't have phone access right now) to see if it would be a good fit. I spoke with Jennaclare about my dog's behaviors and temperaments, and she said they'd be more than happy to see my dog for their required temperament test. She asked me if I wanted to come on Thursday of that week. When I responded to her message looking to move forward with booking the temperament test, there was no response. I followed up the next day, again no response. It's now been almost a week, and I haven't heard from her or anyone from Sugg's. I'm now back a square one of trying to find another dog boarder. I don't know what happened, but it's extremely inconvenient to go through conversation like that just for it to lead to nothing. My customer service experience with them has not been the greatest.
Suggs has taken care of our dogs for the last few years and I cannot say enough great things about them. The staff are phenomenal and there is not a lot of turnover, so we know people by name every time we walk in there. Our puppies are always excited to go there and have always been treated well. On multiple occasions, they have saved us with accommodating last minute boarding and do so with a smile every time. I cannot say enough good things about how beneficial they have been for our two huskies!
They are wonderful kennel. My dog was here for 9 days and he came home very happy. They take very good care of pets.
This was the first extended stay for Benji and we were anxious because Benji has separation anxiety (go figure). The staff at Suggs took great care of Benji and even sent pics to us so we could feel good about his status.
We have used Suggs twice in the last year for our German Shepherd. They are awesome! They really care about the dogs and ensure that they are well taken care of and happy. We are so grateful for the great care and the love that they showed our dog during her stay there. Definitely recommend this place. The staff is incredible and you can trust that your dog will be safe and happy.
I have never left my pups at a kennel before. I was extremely nervous and distraught at the thought of leaving them somewhere for an upcoming business trip. Suggs' team were absolutely amazing! Not only did they take good care of my boys but the took care of me too, dealing patiently with my calls and check ins. Especially Samuel and Mark! I really appreciate the great care they gave my babies
Suggs Kennel staff have been the biggest blessing for me! I've just recently moved to Augusta two months ago and they have been very accommodating while I've been traveling a lot lately. The thing that really makes my day is how excited they are to see Snoop when I take him there and how excited he is when he leaves. The atmosphere is warming and I really appreciate the staff for all that they do. I highly recommend this place.
We had our dog here for 5 days during the Christmas week . The staff was friendly and the cost was low . The problem I have with this place is there was over 85 dogs here when we got our dog and he was covered in his own pee . They did not bath him and he was like this for almost 2 days . We had to throw his bed out when he got home and bath him. He has been not himself since we picked him up. From what I can see there was just to many dogs to take care of . But also if you leave your pet here and they have an accident they won’t call to tell you . And they only bath them if they are scheduled be bathed . My dog will not be going back here .
Been using them for years. My doggo loves this place and actually gets excited to go! The folks working there are very nice and seem to really care about the animals. Old school, though, don't bring your credit card expecting it to be a payment method, cash and check only.
Our first time leaving our 1 year old German Shepherd. We had an all around wonderful experience! From calling to inquire information, to taking her for her temperament test, touring the facility, and picking her up. Mark was very helpful and informative. They were very accommodating and put ours minds at ease that she would be taken care of! Definitely recommend!
We used A+ Pets and Plants for the first time a couple of weeks ago while we were on a cruise. Julie and Miranda took such sweet care of our dog. One of my favorite things this company does is send pictures and detailed messages after every visit. It made me feel so much more at ease knowing she was being taken good care of. Communication was so easy and they responded pretty much immediately. Bless their hearts also bc our dog was having accidents and they handled it like champs! Thank y'all sooo much!
We have used this company for several years. We have had zero issues until this year. We were told our dogs were not allowed to stay outside more than 15min, when I asked them to please leave them outside from 7am-12p, I was told no. Also came home to dry pee in my house bc guess what, they didn’t have time to potty. They stated they had to follow what they felt was best, even tho I have a screened in porch with dog door, water, fan, etc and the temp was only hitting 90 by 12 that day. I agreed to let them do as they please since I was not home and could not control. However, a few days later and I am informed they called animal services to report me and have a welfare check done on my animals. They checked my house, garage, and back yard to determine EVERYTHING I am doing for my animals is perfectly fine. They also stated as long as they have access to shad animals are okay to be outside! Also, there is NOTHING in my signed agreement about this so called policy they have.
A+ Pets and Plants has always provided excellent care to all of our pets. We have multiple pets that are on medication and I never worry about their care. Even the possums outside are well cared for. :) They have always been diligent, professional and communicative. I wouldn’t use any other service!
Samantha rocks!!!!!! Love, love, love the sitting service and their sitter Samantha. She really does a great job, is a caring soul and you can tell she really loves animals. My dogs immediately took to her, which they never do. If you're in a pet sitting jam, ask for Sam!! Woohoo! ****Just learned Samantha is no longer there and has moved on. Boohoo....so sad.
Corey was super responsive and even sent cute pic of our fur babies when he visited them. Our dogs are members of our family and I appreciate them being treated well. Will definitely do business again with A+Pets and Plants.
Terrie does a terrific job of taking care of my dog Miss Honey (plus blinds, plants, mail, etc ) when I go out of town. Terrie texts photos every day and sends me an update on what she and Honey have been up to. Miss Honey loves the belly rubs and walks she gets from Terrie so this means I don’t have to feel guilty about traveling. This is a terrific reliable company!
Do not use A+ Pets and Plants LLC. Their pet sitter Kimberly lost our cat YESTERDAY when she did her drop in and left our home unlocked and allowed our cat to escape our home leaving the door wide open. Then waited til today to tell us she was missing. We ran our home cameras back and our neighbors and proved the sitter is in fact a negligent liar. The manager Julia was the contacted to be told what had happened and she proceeded to not take an responsibility and cuss at my mother. Police were called and a case has been started. Do not use this company for any of your pets. Our dear ALLY is now gone in need of her medication and scared to death. Please don't not use this company if you love your pets! I can't reply to your reply. But your employee is a liar. She did not report it immediately. She only reported it after she was told by us to call her boss. Your 1 employee looked for our cat for a brief time before the police were called. Our whole family just spent over 3hrs combing our neighborhood for her and no one from your company was any where to be found to assist with that search. You are not taking accountability at all. Your employee is a liar and your manager is unprofessional. I will not stop until everyone knows to not do business with you all. We were told you vet your employees yet when we asked if they were drug tested we were told no so obviously yall aren't thorough enough to insure that you have responsible people working for you. You left our home unlocked leaving it open to not only let our beloved pet out but also possibly allowing intruders in. The number 1 rule of entering someone's home/pets is to close the damn door securely.
Jennifer was amazing! She communicated with us and sent picture updates. We are brand new to Augusta so we were so happy to find this service!
I really needed a new pet sitter who would be dependable and not forget about my cats when I was away. I FOUND THEM at A+ Pets and Plants! The sitters really go above and beyond. I have a cat who needs a daily injection and they can do that too. When my flight go canceled and I needed 2 extra days of sitting, the sitter that day made it so easy to just extend the services. I recommend A+ P&P if you are looking for a new sitting service!
We were concerned when our previous dog sitter moved out of state. She recommended A+ Pets and we couldn't be happier. Making reservations is very easy. Angela, our sitter, is professional, took good care of our dog, and sent updates and pictures every time she visited. She also left detailed feedback at home for us. Great service. We will certainly use them again.
Animal house is amazing. Lucy T loves to sing with Mrs. Cindy and all the staff are always so friendly and love on the dogs. Lucy is always excited when we turn off Riverwatch to go to day camp.
Animal house has been great for my dog(Dolly) and me. She gets the exercise she needs and she comes home tired. She’s a puppy and I don’t like leaving her at home by herself but I know she is in good hands when shes at animal house. The staff has also been great with working to help Dolly as she is still a puppy and has a ton of energy. Plus I love that the staff knows my dog when I walk in the door. Great place!
We’ve been trusting Animal House for almost 3 years with our dog! He absolutely loves this place. He gets super excited when I say daycare and runs straight back when we get there. The staff makes an effort in getting to know your dogs and I can tell they look out for them. My boy comes home absolutely wiped out!
Our boy was almost sad to leave, we could tell he had a great time there. The personnel was great and very understanding when we had a delay on our return. Awesome place to bring your pets
We took Tilly there today for her 1st time doing day care. We were greeted at drop off and pick up by friendly staff. It was art today as an activity so we came home with artwork😅. We will be using them for all our day care needs. …
Charlie W loves going to Animal House. He is so excited to get there and play with all his friends!! This is the best doggie daycare we found in this area.
Staff is always friendly and nice. Lulu is always happy and excited to go to doggy day care.
We had a recent disappointing and unfortunate experience at the Animal House regarding my dog’s grooming. On Friday the 8th, we had an appointment at 10:00 for a full grooming. When my husband dropped off our dog, he was informed it would take 2-3 hours since they were running behind. At 2:30 (4.5 hours later), he called to check in. At this time, the person on the phone frantically said “oh he’s just getting in the bath now.” At 4:30, we decided to finally check in person. When we arrived, we expressed our concern at waiting 6.5 hours for an appointment that was at 10:00. After checking in, the unprofessional front desk first told us she didn’t have any idea since she just got there but finally got up to ask someone. She told us he would be done soon but was being “rambunctious.” We expressed how this definitely made sense as he had been waiting several hours and is only a 7 month old, social golden retriever. Once we finally had our dog come out, no sincere or genuine apology was given. Instead, just a comment about how he was rambunctious. At this time, it came out that they mixed up dogs and had ours in the day care area in a private room, where he was forgotten about. We assume until we called due to the frantic response on the phone. No explanation or apology was given for this huge mistake. However, it further explained his behavior during the grooming. During the payment time, we were charged $85. The amount on the website stated $50. The only explanation provided was “it’s outdated.” Once we finally got our dog back, more than 6.5 ours lately, he looked like barely much hair was cut off…definitely not $85 worth. We completely understand mistakes happen but expected a professional response along with some sort of restitution. Instead, we were greeted with unprofessionalism and nothing to make up for this negative experience. We left our number and were told a manager would call first thing on Tuesday morning. Almost 2 weeks and 2 emails later, we have yet to be contacted…they have shown NO interest in changing this situation, apologizing, explaining, or even responding to our concerns. Next time, we will stick to Petsmart.
Trust completely with daycare and boarding. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Our pup loves this place. It's great because it's not kennel runs that the dogs are stuck in all day, they get to play with the other pups their size. All the interaction is wonderful for our pup.
What a god send this place was for me. I was looking very specifically for a boarding place for my baby kitty that was dog free. My cat is terrified of dogs and I knew she was going to have to be there for a month or so and I wanted a place she could be comfortable. I don’t want her to hear dogs barking all day as I knew it would make her very nervous. I could tell immediately this was the place for my baby and then after meeting with Jennifer I was at ease with leaving my baby in her care. What we both thought was initially going to be a month turned out to be much much longer. I never had to worry about the safety or care of my cat. I was sent pictures and updates that always helped my sad heart while having to be away from my baby for such a long time. I feel like this business went above and beyond to help me while I was not able to have my baby with me. I had no issues what so ever and my cat came back to me just as healthy & happy as ever. Should I ever have to board her again for any reason I will always choose Meow town I have the upmost respect and trust in the place & would not take my baby anywhere else but here should the need arise. Thank you again I am so happy I found Meow town and have had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer as well I couldn’t be happier.
Even though our cats are not done with their "vaCATion", I feel compelled to leave a review. My wife and I flew in from Germany and we had misplaced one of our cat's insulin. The owner went above and beyond by calling every vet clinic she could to see if they carried any in stock. We ended up having to order it and ship it to her. Since we didn't have a local vet yet, she worked with one to sign off on a prescription to get it ordered. She has sent us photos of our cats when we requested and has just been amazing since they had been boarded. I will update this review once we pick them up. *UPDATE* A little overdue update but our furry kids did not want to leave. They very much enjoyed their stay. We will definitely be using Meowtown to take care of our loved ones when we have to travel out of town for extended periods of time. Outside of family, I don't think we trust anyone else.
We were evacuated for Hurricane Irma and fled to Augusta. Upon arrival we couldn't find a place to stay that permitted our kitties. After finding Meow Town online, we sent a message at 2am. Within 30 mins Jennifer responded and made room for our kitties. Not only did she make us feel peace about dropping off our babies, she sent us pictures while they were there. We can't wait to go back.
Will not be going back. My cat died while there. When we went to pick him up and she opened the door from the home to the garage, the stench of cat urine/feces took our breath away. When I took a step inside the door to retrieve him I could hardly breathe from the smell. There were several cats roaming around and noticed a full litter box in one of the units. The cats are left completely unattended overnight and for extended periods. It appears they are fed in the morning and no one returns. I went by the day before he died to check on him and no one was there. When I picked up my deceased cat it was apparent he had been gone awhile. Which left my other cat in the unit with him until I came to get him. I thought long and hard before writing this. My cat was 15, he had hyperthyroidism. I had the vet check him out a couple weeks prior and his heart was good and he was doing good. This review is about the conditions. Not his death. I would expect a slight odor but not one that would take my breath away that could be smelled from outside. As one of the other reviews mentioned, not allowing anyone to enter should have been a red flag. We entrust you with our beloved pets. You should make sure they have adequate care. Not just a feed and leave policy. 4/24/24-Regarding owners response to "set the story straight". 1. This statement implies or accuses me of lying. Yet you refer to us as "awesome people". 2. I did not blame you for my cats death. 3. I left my other cat there another night as I had nowhere to take him and I was grieving and in shock. 4. I did not want a refund. It wasn't about the money. Lastly, a brief, simple, dignified, response , stating "there is an explanation for the above" "Out of respect for the grieving pet owner I will leave it at that" would have been the professional thing to do. Instead you chose to make yourself the victim. You went to great lengths to do so in very lengthy detail. I never questioned the care you gave him while you were there. I didn't mention no one was there on our scheduled drop off date/time. That you had forgotten. I understood. it happens. The above along with how you responded to the other negative reviews is the reason I did not want to discuss on the phone. Your explanations only validated my observations. My response to your response is a courtesy advisement/suggestion to view these reviews as a lesson on how to improve. Not a platform to discredit, insult pet owners nor play victim. Especially when an owner has lost a pet. This has been a learning experience for me and I suggest you do the same.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CATS HERE. THIS PLACE HAS NO BUSINESS LICENSE, DOES FALSE ADVERTISING, AND I CONSIDER WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO BE ANIMAL ABUSE. When we arrived there, she was sitting in her car as if she just pulled in to meet us there and didn't intend on staying after we dropped the cats off. We did all of the business in the garage, and never let the door open more than a crack, probably to keep the smell inside. She wouldn't let us inside to look at the condition of the place, which is one red flag I shouldn't have ignored. The reason she used for not letting us in was because she had a cat walking around in there, instead having it stay in one of the rooms, which is another red flag. We left our cats there for three nights, Friday through Sunday. She offered to let the cats stay there for free on Sunday (apparently she's normally not operating the business then). When it came time to pay, not only was Sunday no longer free, but she tried to charge us for four nights instead of three. When we went to pick up our cats, she warned us that one of the carriers had vomit inside it, and that she tried to clean it up. When we got home, our cats were the most lethargic I have ever seen them. They refused to eat for days. They wouldn't even play. We've never had them respond this way after we brought them home from boarding them at other places. We took them to a vet, and they told us that this might be normal behavior from being at a different environment away from their owners and to give it a couple of days. We obliged and paid $150 for the visit. Still, after a couple of days of this behavior continuing, we decided enough was enough and made another vet visit. They informed us our cats had bacterial infections. They asked us where we left our cats, and we told them Meow Town. They informed us that this place has a reputation for not keeping the cats in the condos as they advertise, but let them roam around the house with each other. This visit was another $350 for the treatments required for them to recover. Going from an environment where they are cared for and fed individually to having to compete with other strange cats for food might leave them lethargic and dejected like ours were.Cats might also behave this way from being left in the carriers you bring them in and not being fed at all; honestly, after analyzing the situation in hindsight, I believe this is unfortunately what happened to our cats. Further research into this place led us to discover they are operating without a business license. The woman running the show here doesn't even advertise the business on her Facebook, but some kind of behavioral training business instead. I would never trust her with anything like that, either. Honestly, between the false advertising, illegal operation of a business, and the hundreds of dollars we've had to spend on vet bills, I am strongly considering pressing charges. All of the good reviews for this place are ancient; it feels like someone bought the property from the former business owner, didn't renew the business license, and just left the sign up so they can leave people's cats inside unattended for drug money or something. Never again. I am going to do everything I can to save other people from subjecting their cats to this kind of suffering.
Years ago I found Meowtown through furious googling when it was just my cat Natasha and me. I had an overnight trip planned and no idea what to do; Natasha had hated the last place I had boarded her in and she wasn’t too fond of sharing space with other cats. Enter Meowtown! We met Jennifer and I swear my cat almost moved out! She came home spoiled, loved, and cared for each time. A couple of years later the cat distribution system decided it was time again, and we got Peridot. Jennifer eagerly took care of Peri in addition to Nat, and even when my husband and I went abroad for two weeks - I never had to worry about their safety or care. Jennifer always has their best interest at heart and she always makes sure we know how they’re doing ❤️ I’ve had last minute plans come up, emergency extensions on stays, and picky cats who refused to eat. Jennifer has done her level best each time to make sure the girls were taken care of and thriving. She pays attention to their personalities, their likes/dislikes, and any instructions I’ve given her. My girls love her. I can honestly say I trust Jennifer and Meowtown with my cats more than I would trust anyone else. I often tell my husband when he’s anxious; “don’t worry - Jenn’s got them” and I mean it.
I cannot thank you enough for the help that you gave us. We had a very critical situation come up and the owner came and picked up our local kitties when we were desperate to board them. Not only that, but she treated them with great love. Their nails were clipped, they smelled clean, and they came home very safe. Thank you again Jennifer. Thank you for treating our furbabies like special guests. Thank you also being affordable too. If we ever need boarding or know someone who does, we will be recommending meowtown.
Hands down one of the BEST boarding services I have used. The owner is extremely friendly and you can tell she truly cares about the cats that stay there. Usually I don’t get the best vibes from boarding services I’ve used, but I felt completely comfortable with my cat there for the weekend. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to for Meow Town. I cannot recommend Meow Town enough!!!
Jennifer is nice and all, but I was extremely disappointed with the care my cat received while he was there for a week. Very little communication from her, I texted- got no reply. I called and then she said she’d send a pic. Only one update over the course of a week. Upon picking him up, I hear him sneezing in the backseat. He was perfectly fine when I dropped him off. I ended up having to take him to the vet- he has possibly the worst upper respiratory infection I’ve ever seen him with. I won’t board my cat here ever again. Aug 17: More excuses and “non-blaming” blaming. Like I said, Jen has always been nice. But I’m still here with a sick cat. Robert has had a cold in his lifetime sure, but you can’t tell me you didn’t notice he was sick unless you weren’t the one caring for him. I have a text when she mentions her daughter helps her because of her broken foot. I may have other 1 star reviews because of bad experiences but you also have another 1 star review where a client left with their cat also having an upper respiratory infection. This is my experience and it has the overall vibes of my cat was passively being cared for and that’s why this happened.
I am really disappointed in the service provided, as I was so hopeful that it was going to be great (based on all of the good reviews) I wouldn't have left a review at all, but feel that it is necessary to share my experience. First, I was pleasantly surprised when Jennifer offered me a discounted rate for the townhome with the window, but I must say that I should have trusted my gut instinct when she wouldn't let me enter the facility (house) I was standing on the top step nearest the door, when she undid a deadbolt and just stood there with the door barely open. I asked her if we would just do this out here and she replied yes... I told myself it was because she probably didn't want to disrupt the other cats staying there. I was told that I would receive photos and an update and her nails would be trimmed - none of which was received, until I asked for them. When Jennifer did update me, she informed me that my cat was "helping her fold laundry and sweep." which indicates to me that she was not in the townhome, but instead running loose (this was only my second time boarding her, so I didn't even realize that it was not a good thing) Upon picking her up, I was told that my cat may have thrown up in the carrier when I brought her in for drop off (8 days prior) and that she covered it up with a puppy pad so that she wouldn't have to lay in it - I didn't see any issue at that point, but when I put her in my truck, I immediately smelled cat pee. When I got home and removed the puppy pad, I realized that she had peed inside of the carrier, as the bottom of the puppy pad and the bottom cushion of her carrier were soaked, stained and reeking of cat pee (a very distinctive smell). Had it been vomit from 8 days prior, it would have been dried by then - I realized immediately that I had been lied to and that she must've been in her carrier for hours to resort to peeing on herself. I was also told by Jennifer that she had not fed my cat by the time I picked her up (at 9 am) even though my cats feeding time is around 6 or 7 am. The worst part is that when I picked her up, I realized she was sneezing and it got progressively worse. I took her to her vet yesterday and they aren't sure if she has a respiratory infection or cat herpes... both of which are caused by exposure to other infected cats. I am sorely disappointed and needless to say will not be taking my cat back.
Cayla has been fantastic with my two large dogs! She plays with them during her visits and sends the cutest photos of them. It puts my mind at ease knowing she’s with them when I’m at work all day. She even bought them treats and toys! I’ve recommended her to several of my friends and they all have loved her as well! Bottom line: She’s professional and easy going and she genuinely cares about animals.
Cayla did regular walks for our 2 pups, and she also sacrificed her time for overnight visits when we were away. Cayla is amazing and is by far the best dog walker / sitter we have ever had. One of our dogs is very old, has no eyes, and can be grumpy - Cayla took amazing care of him and he warmed up to her quickly, which is hard to do. Our other dog is active but hates other dogs, and she made sure to keep him (and the other dogs) same during walks. She was always super cheerful and you can tell how much she loves taking care of them. Cayla is definitely the best!
Cayla has watched my fur baby and my parents fur babies for 3+ years and we have zero complaints. I travel a lot for work (sometimes last minute) and Cayla has ALWAYS come through. During the week she’d walk my Sadie girl 3-4 times pending my schedule and it is refreshing to have a dog walker you can rely on and trust. Like most people I am not a fan of letting people into my home, however, Cayla’s process was extremely professional. Prior to getting my business, she came over for a consultation to meet my pup and go over her routine, along with my expectations in which I was extremely impressed with. Cayla is extremely professional, trust worthy, and I highly recommend her for all your pet needs.
I cannot say enough great things about Cayla! She started taking care of my Fur baby, Willow when she was just a few months old. It was so nice knowing that Cayla was there to play with Willow and take her on walks while I was working. I loved getting updates and pictures every time Cayla was with Willow. Cayla is reliable, hard working and very passionate about her clients. She treats every animal like her own. Willow wouldn’t come out of her crate to play for anyone else but Cayla. Your fur babies will be in the best hands!
I’ve used Cayla for 2 dogs for over 5 years. With both pups, she managed to capture the essence of their personality within the first visit. She knows what they need when I forget to ask her to feed or to add on an extra 15 min. I can always depend on her to go when needed, even last minute when travel plans change. I’ve used her for both visits as well as overnight stays, and trust her with my home and pup. She the best pet sitter that I have had, and I have tried a lot! :)
Cayla has cared for our crazy bunch (4 large labs) and they love seeing her every time she comes to our house! She was always very reliable and professional, gave us great updates while she was here visiting and gave lots of love to our crew while in her care. We could always count on her when we had her scheduled to come visit. She is the best and would recommend her to anyone!
I was luckily introduced to Cayla by a friend that used her dog-walking services in ATL, so when I got my 1 year old Great Dane pup in early 2016, I immediately reached out & scheduled a meet and greet. Cayla was a tremendous help and took my sweet girl out 3-4 times a week while I was at work. She even did last minute drop ins if she could. Would trust her with any pet I owned, great communication, super reliable and friendly, and it’s obvious she loves every animal friend she meets. 150% would use her services if we still lived in the same area!
Cayla is THE best pet sitter. We have 2 cats, they love her. She's professional, consciousness and friendly. We always requested her when we travel which has been several times/year. She keeps us up to date with pictures, texts daily. If she sees any health issues, she notifies us immediately. I guarantee you'll be pleased with her taking care of your pets.
5 star!!! Cayla took care of our dog and cat while on our honeymoon! She sent photos every visit of each animal, gave descriptive updates, and Took great care of our animals. :) spent time at each visit to make sure they were happy and doing ok. Excellent and quick communication through out every day. Will continue to use Cayla as we had a wonderful experience! Thank you Cayla ❤️
Cayla is AMAZING, and I am so glad she was given as a recommendation to me. I had use apps such as Rover & Wag in the past to take care of my pets but I felt it was overpriced and the care was not up to my expectations. Due to a recent lifestyle change & being new to Martinez/Augusta area I reached out to a neighborhood group chat on Facebook to find someone to take care of my 3 dogs & cat. As a last resort I asked if they knew anyone who was willing to come to my home at night, with a schedule that is never the same. It has been a hassle to get someone to take care of 3 dogs and 1 cat during night time hours. With at least 25 responses and Cayla was recommended by multiple people. She has gone above and beyond to make sure I know my fur babies are safe and taken care of by sending us daily pictures and updates. She accommodates our crazy schedule, and she makes my fiancé and I feel at ease while we are away. I am so so so happy with her care, I could not say thank you enough for all she has done. I know my animals are in the best hands with Cayla and I do not know what I would do without her !
