Erica has been caring for my pup Cleo for over two years now and is just the best. She's reliable, professional, and goes above and beyond to try and accommodate even last-minute requests. Erica is very attentive and always lets me know if something seems off with my dog (stomach issues, etc.). She also gives recommendations without being asked, which I appreciate given her extensive expertise. Cleo absolutely loves her too!

Erica is fantastic and a life saver! We were fortunate to recently adopt a 2 1/2 year old bulldog, Maisie. She had been in a shelter for over six months, so she is still a bit skittish around new people. Maisie has adjusted well in our home, but we had two long planned trips that we hadn't thought about, that's when Erica saved the day! She was able to come to our home and care for Maisie while we were away. Maisie loves her walks with Erica! Knowing Erica was taking good care of her reduced our anxiety about being away for Maisie.

My dogs have unique care requirements. Erica didn't miss a beat and took wonderful care of our two dogs. We will continue to use them for every vacation. Editing to update post. Erica continues to provide wonderful care for our two Jack Russells.

Erica is amazing and I’m so glad I found her! She takes such good care of our boy Baxter. We have had Bax there for day care and more recently for overnights and for the first time I am not worried about him while we are away! She posts pics and sends updates which we love and he gets so excited when we pull down the street. That is the ultimate test and compliment in my eyes. He truly loves being there. We would definitely recommend Erica and we are already repeat customers. There is no one else I trust to watch our boy more than her!!

Erica is a wonderful pet sitter! She takes excellent care of our two kitties, who hate to leave the house so Erica visits them in our home. One of our kitties is very social and the other is very shy, and Erica makes extra effort to connect with the shy kitty, being sure to leave treats and catnip where she will get them. She sends pictures (and sometimes video) of both kitties, and checks in regularly by text to let us know she’s been in and how the kitties are doing. Erica has been caring for our kitties for about a year and we feel totally at ease knowing they are under her care while we’re away. We are so glad to have found her!

This was the first time we ever left the care of our 3 cats to a “stranger”. Erica came over, met all of us, took notes, and was friendly, yet professional. Two of our cats require medication, one of which is medicated every 12 hours and is clever at hiding. This was no problem for Erica! Erica was great at keeping in touch with me over the week sending photos & updates. She also responded quickly to my texts with questions & changes. Upon return our home felt normal, as if we never left. Although there was some grumbling amongst the felines inquiring as to what I did with Erica! Cats! 😺

I'm so happy that we used Scratch 'N Sniff while we went away on vacation. Our dog has a lot of anxiety and taking him with us wasn't an option for this trip. Erica was super accommodating. She was able to make visits to our house so Rocky would be comfortable in his normal environment. She was able to give him his medication, which typically is difficult with him. We were given frequent updates and pictures to make sure we were at ease and knew he was doing well. She even brought in our mail and watered our flowers for us. We will definitely be using this pet service for any trips we take in the future.

Erica does a phenomenal job with your family's pets! We know that when our pup needs somewhere to go that Erica is reliable, professional, and provides high quality service. We never worry about our dog when she is in Erica's care...she is treated like a member of the family. We love that our dog loves going there to see her friends. Recently got married and needed someone to watch our dog Blue for a few days, Erica is always the first to pop in mind! Her professionalism and great care for our pup is unmatched! She constantly posts pictures during his stay on her facebook page and keeps us updated with texts. Highly recommend and will use again and again

We've utilized Four Paws services during our last two vacations to care for our two cats and our turtles. They have provided excellent service in every way - they leave detailed notes for each visit and always respond quickly and cheerfully to any e-mails or special instructions. Our cats can be a bit leery of strangers, so it's nice to see (via the visit notes) that both warmed up to Diane and Gary by the second or third visit. We won't hesitate to contact them the next time we are going to be out of town - their rates are very reasonable and you couldn't ask for better service. UPDATE: It's now nine years later, and we still call on Four Paws and a Biscuit whenever we need someone to care for our (many, many) cats when we're out of town. The service is still excellent and reasonably-priced, and they still leave detailed notes for every visit (even when most of our scaredy-cats won't come out to see them) - really couldn't ask for more.

My dogs have loved both Gary and Michele at 4 Paws. I trust them very much. They treat my dogs well, are aware of safety (ie wrapping the leash so the dog does not get away) and treat my home well when they come. They have my highest recommendation.

Mark and Kathy are the best dog walkers and sitters. They have been taking care of my dogs for 12 years. Mark and Kathy are truly kind and compassionate animal lovers. Most importantly they give your dog a great walk and take excellent care of them. My Portuguese Water Dog was high energy and would come back from walks tired and contented. We now have a mini poodle who also loves to walk, but is a shy boy. Mark and Kathy understand his special needs, look after him and he loves them. I can go on vacation and know that my dog is very well cared for and gets the attention he needs. My friend has used Mark and Kathy to watch her cats. Again, she is highly satisfied and grateful. Mark and Kathy have taken care of our two Newfoundlands for over five years! They walk them, pet sit, house sit and even brush them. Our dogs just adore both of them. Kathy and Mark will always go the proverbial extra mile to help you and your pet. They have often helped us out when we have been in unavoidable situations. When we travel, I never worry as I know both the dogs and the house will be in immaculate condition when we return. Kathy and Mark have become part of our family. Hira had an amazing first day at Bark Avenue! Audrey at the desk was amazing answering our questions and assuring us our puppy was having a great first day when we called and at pickup! They were amazing in answering any questions that were asked and she even sent us a photo to confirm our dog was having a blast! 🐾We cant wait to come back for another play day for doggy daycare again!

I love bringing my dog here whenever we are away. ESPECIALLY love that there is a person there overnight unlike a lot of boarding/kennels/daycare centers. MaryBeth is absolutely wonderful with all pets especially rescues.

The Staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Fair prices. Video feed available to watch the dogs in live time. My dog gets extremely excited when we pull up which tells me all I need to know.

We have used Black Birch for kennel, doggy daycare, and nail clipping. The staff there is always very communicative and they take such great care of our crazy dog. They all know him by name! If there’s ever a problem they work to rectify it right away and our dog always comes home happy, but is also always happy when we go back there and runs right in. I’ve also seen the care they take with other dogs with specific needs and temperaments and it’s great they work to meet the needs of each dog.

This is one of the worst kennels I've ever seen. The place is dirty. No hot water in the building at all. Rat poison everywhere you look. The play pens are old rusty and dangerous. Dish for dogs food plates are washed without soap. Dogs that come in for boarding are left in their pens all day. Dogs for daycare are put outside and left Un attended most of the day. The place is generally old and run down. After 8 years of complaining about the conditions and doing my best to keep it in functioning condition I was told to leave after I complained that the grooming tub was draining all over the floor. Anyone who brings their dog there is crazy. I worked there 8 years and I have 2 dogs one of wich I rescued from there, and I never brought my dogs there for anything. I care about them to much to let them be in a place like rhis

Recently took our dog to Black Birch for boarding while we went on vacation. This was his first time away from family and around others. George calmed my worries and assured me that he would be okay. I was sent photos of him and he looked happy. I am grateful for finding them and now know he has a home in case we need to travel without him. Thank you so much to everyone at Black Birch Farm for taking care of my baby Kane.

THINK TWICE * After using Black Birch Farm’s services for a couple of years, I will no longer be sending my dogs to this facility due to health and safety concerns for the animals and employees who work there. I recently spent about 8 hours in this kennel because I was interested in buying the business and wanted to learn how the kennel was run. What I found shocked me. These are some of the red flags I found: There was a dish of rat poison stored on the same racks where bowls of food were kept. There was nothing preventing cross contamination if a rodent walked on or around the filled dog dishes. There was mouse feces in the containers where the food for boarded dogs was kept. There was no soap to wash the shared dog dishes. There was no hot water. Dogs were being groomed in ice cold water and I was told that they had been doing so all winter long. The grooming room was unsanitary. Equipment was dirty and rusty. There were medication dispensing issues that arose. I would not be confident that my dog would get their medication if boarded there. Kennels were rotting and in need of repair. There’s debris all throughout the interior and exterior of the building, all things that could be incredibly dangerous if a dog got loose on the premise. In addition, they were not cleaned very well. They were sprayed with bleach and then hosed down with cold water (because there was no hot water). CT regulations state that the application of hot water needs to not be less than 180 degrees Fahrenheit to properly clean and disinfect. There were other issues, these were simply the most glaring health and safety concerns. If this business stays open without making serious changes, it’s just a matter of time before Black Birch Farm becomes the next Beacon Falls.

George and staff are AMAZING! Best place to leave your fur babies ! Our pup gets treats and a lot of playtime. Highly recommend this place for boarding as well as daycare. I can’t say enough good things as I had several bad experiences at another boarding facility in Milford. George truly cares about each and every dog that comes in!

Let me preface this by saying that I am an admittedly difficult person to please. Our dogs just returned home from a week long visit at Black Birch while my wife and I took a cruise. Upon pickup they were clean and great smelling, healthy, well fed, and happy. Our dogs are large, rambunctious homebodies and we had never left them in a kennel for more than a night so my wife and I were a bit anxious to leave them. After seeing how well cared for our pups were during this trip, we will travel worry free in the future. Not only were the dogs clean and well cared for, but the customer service was great. The staff was able to collect my payment information over the phone since my mother-in-law was picking the dogs up and I didn't want her to get stuck with the bill at the end. The staff was reassuring, flexible and helpful with her when she called to check on the dogs for us and arrange a pickup time. George and his staff have been very pleasant to interact with at every level. We also paid what I would consider a quite reasonable price for the length of time, size of dogs, and quality of service that they received. We will continue to use Black Birch for as long as we live in the area. One piece of advice, though -- call for information and reservations. For whatever reason, they are not so responsive to email but are always available and helpful on the phone.

My dog Jared, goes to doggy daycare and when needed I board him at Black Birch. I like the large outdoor play areas. The dogs are separated not just size but also temperament. The staff gets to know the dogs and they all really like animals, it’s so apparent. I feel very good about leaving my boy in Black Birch’s hands.

Daisy loves to go to daycare and play with her puppy friends. The staff is very attentive and know her by name. I am thrilled at how she has socialized with other dogs. Her older sister has boarded there several times in the past. I recommend Black Birch Farm for daycare, boarding and grooming.

Excellent service! We don't board our dogs often but when we do- we bring them to Black Birch. I've been a customer for 12 years, never an issue. The staff is well-trained, cordial and trustworthy. I trust George and team more than my family members. They just get it.

If I could play at Who's Your Doggie all day I would. I've trusted Melissa and her staff with my dogs since WYD opened in 2009 for daycare, boarding, and grooming. They do training too! It's a one stop shop. I look forward to the pictures of the pups playing on the FB page, holiday photos, and everything else they do. They have daily themed activities, Agility Mondays and Frosty Paw Fridays are my favorite. The staff has been amazing since day one. They are always pleasant, energetic, responsible, and extremely vigilant. I enjoy my drop offs and pick-ups chatting with them. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dogs.

Been using Whos’s Your Doggie for about 2 weeks now since moving into an apartment nearby. I couldn’t be happier with the staff and how they treat the dogs. They always have some activities planned to keep the dogs engaged. Before coming here he would never even thought about sleeping in the car. Now on the short 5 min ride home he’s passed out. Pricing is super reasonable in my opinion.

My dog Whiskey is a wonderful but anxious German Shepard. He requires a little extra attention in training and obedience. Melissa the owner/trainer was very professional and great with my German Shepard. She is firm with training and commands (which he needs) but also very friendly and answered all my questions. I look forward to working with Melissa and bringing my dog regularly! Also the staff are very friendly especially Bella. Thank you for everything!

They are the best dog groomer I have ever used. I have a dog with a disability and they go above and beyond to accommodate her. They do an excellent job and are always running on time. I would highly recommend using them for either grooming or daycare.

My 1 yo dog was terrified of moving vehicles going past us on a walk. I worked with him for months & couldn't get him past his fear (pulling, jumping, spinning, barking). I brought him to Melissa at Whose Your Doggie for Doggie Boot Camp. She sent me videos, pictures & we stayed in touch. 6 days later I had the most well behaved, well trained, easy to walk dog! It was amazing. Melissa did awesome helping my dog get past his fears & anxiety. She also helped me learn what I needed to do, so I could continue his positive training. She's also available if my dog needs some refresh training. I highly recommend their Doggie Boot Camp for problem behaviors with your dog! Best thing I need for my dog! He's much more relaxed & happy & so am I 😊

Our dog is very high energy and when we adopted him at 1 year old, he exhibited signs of separation anxiety. We decided to take him to daycare 2 days a week when my wife and I would both be gone all day. Whos Your Doggie has provided him with wonderful care. He is super excited when we drop him off and super tired and happy when we pick him up. He is now almost 2 years old and his anxiety is much less and he can be left alone at home, however we still bring him 2 days a week because he has so much fun and it’s a good healthy outlet for his energy. Don’t believe every nasty 1 star review as of late as many people arent even customers but reposting a story they read on FB. Our experience with Whos your Doggie has been positive and professional and we would highly recommend.

I sent my American Bulldog for the two week program. I had to wait a bit to post my review because I was certain he had received some sort of drug that was bound to wear off. He went from a lovable and STUBBORN guy to lovable and obedient. He’s much calmer but still himself. Melissa does amazing work and treats the dogs she trains like her own, and also helped me learn how to communicate with him. We even got an unsolicited compliment on a walk - which is huge - and no more harness needed. I sent her a list of the behaviors he needed work on and she handled them. I highly recommend her services. The facility is clean and her staff clearly cares about the dogs as much as she does.

What a GREAT experience! At home boarding provided by Dirty Paws mobile grooming was excellent! The grounds are beautiful with plenty of yard for my dog to run and play and enjoy the fresh air! A dogs paradise! While I was away on vacation I was able to rest easy that my dog was well cared for and on a vacation of his own! The best part was that when I picked up Moose he was smelling and looking great after his complimentaty professional bath! Going away for a weekend or a week will never be a problem again now that I have found At home boarding by Dirty Paws! Moose thanks you!

Our dog has been attending Dogtopia in Milford since they opened. We could not be happier with this choice. They love our dog and treat him as if he was one of their own. The canine coaches understand Dallas quirks and personality. Dogtopia does so many fun theme days and art projects. It's clean and bright and webcams are easily accessible to peek in on your dog throughout the day.

I love this place! They have provided an amiable and reliable environment so we can finally leave our pup there for days while traveling without worrying about his health and happiness. My dog always comes home clean and neat and loves going back there! The live cameras are a huge relief, and we enjoy watching the pup play around with his tail wagging all day long.🥰

We are so happy with Dogtopia! The facilities are new and well kept, with ample indoor and outdoor space for the puppies to play. The hours are great for working dog parents and the app with webcams makes it easy to check in on your dog if you’re so inclined. The staff is really incredible, so friendly, accommodating and very dog-loving! There’s nothing more heartwarming than to catch the canine coaches petting the happy doggies throughout the day on camera! Can’t say enough good things!

My dog Reed loves going to Dogtopia! He pulls me to the door and whines in the lobby until he gets to see his friends. When we first started bringing him there we noticed they didn’t open the door to the outside area in his room, so the dogs wouldn’t get to go out and play (due to one dog being a turf eater). I do feel like I wasted a few days of my daycare package due to this, but after speaking to the manager Owen, it was corrected. They moved him into a room that better suited his energy and play style and now Reed couldn’t be happier, a room that also keeps the door to the outside open nearly 24/7. The employees are very nice there and the facility is very clean. The Dogtopia app isn’t the best, it freezes a lot. When it does work, I love to check on him and see him play. The pricing is very competitive and they offer memberships and packages that other locations don’t offer. Overall, I do recommend!

my girls LOVE it here. Not only do they have very reasonable rates but all the staff are warm and friendly to us and the pups. They have a ton of options including boarding and spa for the girls as we need it and they have optional add on activies. And there is a video feed for when we check in on them during the day and see them playing. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

My dog Lincoln has been going to Dogtopia of Milford for about a year (boarding and daycare) and he LOVES it. I love it too! The staff is super friendly and I know when Lincoln is there that he’s safe and having a great time. It’s clean, the playrooms aren’t over populated and I love that Lincoln can play both inside and outside during the day. The events calendar is great too. I highly recommend Dogtopia of Milford!

Whether it’s a half-day or a few days of boarding, we never have to worry about Rudy when she’s at Dogtopia. She is treated exceptionally well, gets to romp with the other dogs, and comes home fulfilled. We wholeheartedly recommend Dogtopia to anyone considering bring their pooch there

Very few things get Maverick as excited as he gets when we turn onto Quirk Rd to head to Dogtopia. He recognizes it immediately, and gives the biggest excited stomps and tail wags. When we walk in he is so excited to get back there he doesn't even turn to say goodbye. This place is amazing. Dogtopia is responsive, always answer the phone, always have fun and exciting treats and activities available. Occasionally Maverick will come home with an art project or something fun for us. Have tried other day cares and do not get anywhere near the same level of excitement from our dog. Highly highly recommend.

I highly recommend it to any Dog owner looking for a place other than to just board your dog at a kennel. It’s great there. It’s really like A daycare, but for dogs, they even have activities and all sorts of other things and the prices are so reasonable

Destiny has been wonderful and our Trixie loves going to visit! She's got a great set up in the back yard and will share posts or pics of your puppers throughout his or her stay. We've used her for boarding services a few times in the past year and she's always been accommodating. Destiny is wonderful to work with and I would recommend her to anyone in the area!

I was so nervous to put my puppy in daycare, and I wasn't sure how I could trust someone else with her. But once we met Destiny, I knew she would take such good care of my baby! Destiny is so professional, reliable, trustworthy, extremely responsive and communicative, and most importantly she loves my puppy so much. Mia lights up when she sees Destiny, and it makes me so happy! I work a very demanding schedule, so I don't get to socialize my girl, and I can't really get her outside to play, so the days that Mia is at Destiny's Daycare are perfect! She has so much fun playing with all her friends, gets all her energy out, and comes home happy and exhausted! I 1,000% recommend Destiny's Dog Daycare/Boarding! Wouldn't trust anyone else. 🙂

Over Thanksgiving I had to board my 4 year old German shepherd for the very first time. We had a terrific experience today with Destiny Dog Daycare. Last minute need to be in Connecticut from Long Island and day boarding for our Mini Golden Doodle. I had to fly last minute and I was so happy to quickly get my dog set up for boarding With Destiny's Dog Daycare/Boarding. He (my dog)absolutely loved it, and I loved being able to see pictures of him while I traveled. And Destiny was so kind and helpful.

We worked with Sue from Sit Stay Train & Play to take care of our dog Gouda on our wedding day. With her help and training sessions he was able to serve as our ring bearer! She picked him up from our home the day before the wedding, took care of him all day, and brought him to his boarding after the event. With her help we were able to have Gouda be part of our special day without any stress. We're so grateful that Sue was able to help us make memories that will last a lifetime.

Yesterday, we had the BEST private in-home training session for Mozzie. Sue was AWESOME!! Not only did she show me how to stop some of his "not so good behaviors", but she provided me with ideas, tips, handouts and things to do with my dog to make things easier for both of us. Mozzie LOVED Sue right away! She was wonderful with him - I'm looking forward to our follow up session and showing her all we have learned. My sweet boy Oliver had a great time at a at home session with Sue. They worked on good manners and being patient with his food bowl. Oliver was so eager to learn and Sue was so amazing with him that I’m going to enroll my other dog, Charlie Bear in her daycare program!!

I'm so grateful to have found Sue! My 13 year old diabetic, blind dog requires injections and medication twice a day, plus close supervision pretty constantly, so my husband and I hadn't traveled in the year since he's been diagnosed. Sue stayed with our special needs dog for 2 nights and 3 days and we felt so comfortable and worry free! We left her a million notes and instructions, and her experience and patience made her the perfect pet sitter. She performed every step of his routine with expertise and ease. She is also incredibly kind, and spent so much time just giving our guy lots of love and attention, and made sure to keep us in the loop with amazing photos and updates the entire time. Both of my dogs love going on their twice weekly walks with Sue. They are both pit bulls around 1 year old so can be quite the handful. She has been training my older dog and is helping the younger one to learn how to loose leash walk and come when called. They are both so excited every time she walks in the door. She has also taken them for overnights and will send videos daily. I couldn't feel more comfortable leaving them in such loving capable hands. Thank you for all you do.

I have dealt with Sue on the foster care aspect of her job. She is professional and informative. She and the staff she worked with successfully found homes for the entire litter and mother that I had fostered. Sue knew that I was attached to the pups and Mom, as I had fostered the Mom until she gave birth and the first few weeks of the puppies' lives. She was awesome at sending me photos and videos of their growth and connecting me with some of the families that adopted them! That meant the world to this dog rescuer!! Sue is legitimately a dog whisperer! I first had her over to meet my dog Ellie for some occasions of dog-sitting and walking while I was away one evening. My rambunctious Golden was putty in her hands! We then invited Sue back to help my husband and me prepare our dog for the arrival of a (human) baby sister this winter. Sue had Ellie shipshape immediately, and gave us a ton of tips and guidance - never making us feel badly about behavior or concerns, but always affirming and believing in us. She really helps you do the work of becoming the owner your dog deserves. Also, Ellie is still obsessed with her…. Magic!!!!

Josh and his team are amazing with our two dogs Mona and Sparky. They are both rescues with difficult behaviors. Josh was the only dog-walker that was willing to take on the challenge and help us to walk our pups. After one year we can’t be more happy with the teams service.

Woodbridge Pet Sitting has been caring for our pets (and house) for the past 10 years. They are extremely reliable and go above and beyond (including driving to our house at 4 am to meet the fire department when a faulty smoke detector set off a false alarm). We had 2 senior cats with special needs and a cockatiel, given very good care by WBPS. After those beloved pets passed, WBPS has been visiting our 2 cats since their kitten hood whenever we are away. Our house is isolated and gets a lot of snow and ice, WBPS always comes thru for us. We never have to worry when we are on vacation. Wood Bridge Pet Sitting is the best!
