We had the pleasure of having Maggie (for the second time) to take care of our home and beloved dog Frida while we were away for 2 weeks. We couldn’t be happier! Neither could Frida! Our big dog is sometimes a bit stubborn and Maggie managed amazingly. We had daily photos and video, and Frida was clearly very happy, comfortable and very well looked after. Diane and Les were excellent pet and house sitters. Jet was a very happy dog when we returned and Diane had shared many photos of their days together while we were away on holiday. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned and some milk , bread and sweet treats had been left for us, which were very welcome after our 2 long flights home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Diane and Les as sitters for your home and pets, everything was done to a high standard and Jet was happy in his usual environment , which is all we wished for. Ryan was one of our best sitters we’ve had! Ryan is so lovely to chat with and we looked forward to meeting him before our trip. He was organized and communicated his plans clearly with us and was easy to communicate with while we were away. Our dog took to him immediately and so we knew we could relax while away. Our home was in great shape when we returned and it was nice to get a debrief from him as well. We’d love to have Ryan back anytime, and so would Steve (our dog)!

Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.

Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!

To this list of attributes I would add flexible, capable, sensitive, extremely good with the dogs even if one of mine is sometimes a little ornery, and just a wonderful person all around. Because of constantly changing circumstances due to a move and coronavirus, my dogs ended up spending not two weeks but a whole month with John and they were so comfortable and happy. John helped them in so many ways and coordinated shipping them overseas, he went above and beyond the wildest stretches of what a house sitter entails and did it with a smile and a laugh and reassurances that all would be well. And indeed he was absolutely right - the dogs arrived so well cared for that all my fears of them being traumatized went out the window. John’s flexibility, and his kindness as well as his impeccable maintenance of my house in my absence all make me recommend him an absolute 10 out of 10. Thank you John for all your help this summer!! I cannot thank Jenny and Geoff enough for stepping in at the last minute after the original sitter cancelled. They are a great couple, friendly , organised and extremely capable. Also they LOVE animals. My dog and cat have clearly been given a great deal of care and attention in my absence. Jenny kept in touch with notes and lovely photos, Geoff cut my grass and I came home to a spotlessly sparkling house ! Thank you so much! You could not ask for better house and pet sitters than Ken and Jane! Before the sit: Communicating with Ken and Jane prior to our scheduled week went smoothly. They were proactive about planning. They came out to the house prior to the sit and spent a couple of hours going over things about the house, meeting the pets, and getting familiar and comfortable with everything. They were delightful people to meet; I was wishing for a couple of days to just hang out and play tourist with them! During the sit: Ken and Jane sent me daily updates and photos of their outings with my pups and with their interactions with my kitties. I appreciated how they chose the sit partly because of their love of exploring rural areas, because that's what I have here! They were perfectly suited to my home and pets. Ken absolutely loves cats and is an intuitive and experienced kitty-handler. Jane really bonded with one of my kitties; both of them made great progress with all three of my cats, each of which is pretty shy at first, and one can be a real problem child. They worked very hard to give love to each pet and ensure that each felt calm, happy, and cared for. They spend tons of time outdoors with my border collie/retrievers. The dogs had daily "spa time" after walks and outdoor playtime, having their long fur brushed on my front porch (which the dogs love!). They sent me happy photos every day. If anything came up, they just handled it. They really seemed to enjoy their adventures and the pets each day, which made my time away that much more enjoyable. After the sit: I was thankful to have some time with Ken and Jane when I returned from my trip. All the pets were calm, happy, and healthy when I got home. Ken and Jane had left me a detailed note about that last day to make re-entry easy. They sweetly left a thank you note and a bottle of wine on the kitchen table also (a very sweet and unexpected surprise!). They seemed quite sad to leave my "kids;" Jane left with tears in her eyes, saying goodbye to my dogs. We've kept in touch since the sit. My whole house really misses them. Oh, and the house was immaculate and plants all watered (inside and out) when I got home! If you're looking for kind, competent, caring, organized and responsible people to care for your home and pets, invite Ken and Jane!

I can’t say enough incredible things about Aimee and Steve! We are a military family that moves constantly so it can be hard to find people you trust with your “babies”. We have a 5 month old lab puppy that is still figuring out the world. She is a little timid at first but I loved how understanding both Aimee and Steve are. Daisy has done doggy daycare and they were AMAZING about making sure the class wasn’t too big and the right dogs were matched together. They planned ahead knowing Daisy was coming and had a calm dog paired to slowly integrate her into the pack. Daisy is currently in training and both Aimee and Steve were interested and willing to continue her training while under their supervision! Steve has a very calming approach with the dogs and Daisy really took to him. Aimee has so much patience with not only the dogs but also me! She was willing to answer all of my questions, concerns and never made me feel uneasy. You can tell how much they BOTH love the pets they care for. After having several successful doggy daycare days we opted to board her with them. We received updates and pictures of her “sleepover” with her friends! I knew Daisy was in great hands. They even did an adorable paw print picture that I will cherish forever! I jokingly say that we are now co-parenting together because that’s how amazing they have been with her. I selfishly want to keep them to myself but I also know they deserve all the praise in the world! I don’t consider them a “boarding facility”, more like a 2nd home.
I want to share my incredible experience with Trails End Pet Sitting, LLC. I don't often post recommendations, but I am truly compelled to share how delighted I am with the care they provided for our Guinea pigs, hermit crab, and puppy, Meadow. I stumbled upon them on Google, did my research, and read their reviews on Facebook. I was impressed with what I saw and decided to have them do home visits for the small animals and board Meadow at their Southern St. Mary's location. Being a total helicopter mom, I was initially nervous. But the moment I met Aimee, I knew it would be a great fit. She came to our home, asked questions, and got to know our pets' schedules. Aimee's professionalism and knowledge were evident from the start. When I dropped Meadow off at their boarding facility, I was immediately put at ease. The dog play area was secure, shaded, and well-ventilated to keep the pups comfortable. The grass and turf were well-maintained, demonstrating their dedication to safety and cleanliness. Aimee greeted us warmly and assured us that everything was under control. She even discussed emergency plans for Meadow. Aimee's commitment to our pets' well-being continued throughout Meadow's stay. She was more than willing to take Meadow out for potty breaks whenever needed, even during the night. I received updates from Aimee daily, complete with pictures, videos, and detailed accounts of Meadow's day. Blake, her employee, handled home visits for our small animals and sent us daily pictures and humorous updates that had us laughing each evening. I cannot speak highly enough of Trails End Pet Sitting. Their level of professionalism and care is exceptional. Aimee and her team genuinely care about all animals, big and small. I am incredibly grateful to have found them and will always turn to Trails End for pet sitting needs. The peace of mind they provided while caring for all my fur babies was priceless. We are new to the area and I was so nervous leaving our pups while traveling for Christmas. Alexis was our sitter and she was so helpful, communicative, good with the pups. We came back home and they were incredibly well taken care of. For someone who gets a lot of anxiety about leaving our pups, this service was incredible and so worth it. This is our first time using a pet sitter and we are so pleased! We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and in NC, we had used kennels for the dogs and paid separately for someone to come to our house for the cats. With Trails End, all 4 are taken care of and the cost is less. I love that we can book from a phone and they send photos and updates with each visit. Prior to their first pet visit, they provided a home visit to meet the pets and learn about their care. Whether it’s a one time visit for a long day in DC or a week out of town, they are perfect!
My cat really enjoys the visits from his pet sitter Penny. I honestly think he gets a little disappointed when it's me and my husband coming home from a trip and not his new best friend Penny! I have absolutely no worries at all when I'm away and I know that Penny will be looking after my kitty. I look forward to reading the detailed daily notes that she leaves. Penny @ Trails End has been a HUGE help for us. We have 2 kitties that need special care and medications and Penny has gone above and beyond for them. We love the feedback that she gives us and we know that she will take care of them both as if they were her own! My two babies were never kenneled before. 5 and 13 yrs old. Megan invited me to come check the place out prior to dropping them off. Megan keeps a clean friendly loving home away from home kennel. I have taking my dog Ringo to little Farm kennel for a couple years now on the recommendation by my neighbor. He loves it there and Megan is awesome. It's always a great experience for both Ringo and I whenever I need to drop him off for either a long weekend, or a week long business trip. I’ve used other kennels in Prince Frederick, and will never take my 5 dogs anywhere else. Megan is amazing, and our dogs are happy and healthy when I come and pick them up. We have 5 and they are all able to stay together, so no one is alone or stuck in a crate all day.
Little Farm Kennel is great! Megan and her family are doing great things at their pet lodge and my pups will be back for many more stays! I definitely recommend to anyone living in the Southern Maryland region.
We joked many times that we shouldn't leave a review because they are so amazing we don't want to share them with everyone else. This family is so sweet and will love each of your animals like their own. Your dogs will run and play and they won't charge you extra to let your dog be a dog. If you need to go out of tpwn without worrying if your dogs are okay or sitting in a crate all day look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Great place to keep your dogs for vacation. We received constant updates with pictures and our dogs were freshly bathed and pooped from playing with all the other dogs when we retrieved them. Will definitely use again and would recommend to anyone who worries about their dogs on vacation!

Alexandria Pet Care has been so helpful for our dog. We scheduled 4 in home one-on-one sessions for our newly adopted puppy last year and it was so helpful for her. She was reactive towards other dogs and people but after just one session our dog made so much progress. Alex, the trainer, also taught us the best way to help with her anxiety and how to continue making progress with her after our 4 sessions were completed. Alex has also been helpful answering questions via email since our sessions have ended, and at no charge.
The APC Team's kindness and attention were truly exceptional. They provided extraordinary care to our fur babies, treating them as if they were their own. Their commitment to meeting us and collecting comprehensive information before starting services ensured seamless and thoughtful care. A very professional pet sitting service. The owner was very helpful in an emergency situation involving a neighbors pet during the late night hours. She was able to take the animal to the animal emergency care center and treated the animal for several days after release from the emergency care.

Joe is an amazing dog walker. He's prompt, professional and affordable. I've been working with him for ~a year and I am compelled to write a review sharing his amazing service. If you are looking for a loyal and reliable dog walker, Joe is your man. My 4 year old 20 pound terrier mix is in love with Joe and looks forward to their 2 walks every week. I am extremely comfortable and secure with Joe having access to my home when I am at work. My pup recently had an upset stomach and had an accident in my home, Joe was quick to alert me and clean things up. I greatly appreciate his kindness, warm personality and genuine love for my dog Doc.
Joe was great with our dog. Setting up the visits and overnights was easy and Joe was very responsive. He kept us updated and helped us out with a last minute visit when our travel was delayed.
I had Googled professional dog walkers the Fall of 2021. Thankfully, WaggnTails Pet Care showed up in my search. Joe immediately responded to my inquiry. We set a day and time for Joe to meet my babies (my two Maltese, Amos and Stella) and for us to discuss the pet services I needed. Amos and Stella took a liking to Joe right away. What was most impressive, is that when Joe came in my house to meet my babies for the first time, he sat down on the floor and bonded with them for some time before he and I even discussed the details of the pet care I needed for Amos and Stella. Wow! Because of COVID, I started out needing care for one day, twice a day each week. With the restrictions having been lifted, I'm in need of care three days a week, twice a day. Joe runs a professional business...he tracks vaccinations and he also does an assessment of pets' likes and dislikes, and their overall needs. I love my fur babies so much and it's important to me that I have the best care possible for them. I found that in Joe and I'm ever so thankful. He is careful, attentive and very likable. Amos and Stella can attest to that.
Joe is wonderful! He walked my dog, Brutus, and did very well with him. Brutus can be a bit rambunctious, but Joe’s calming demeanor eased my dog’s anxieties. Joe is knowledgeable, prompt, professional, and trustworthy - all of which are important when choosing someone to care for your fur-baby. I highly recommend Joe for your dog-walking needs.

Our normal boarder was unavailable and we were referred to Pawsitively Purr-fect through the grapevine. Our dog loves other dogs but has been reactive with some other boarders, so finding a new option at the last minute was a challenge. Jacki & JR were the best we’ve worked with, no contest, and have become our new go-to for boarding & daycare. They checked his veterinary records, showed us their home setup (which was a substantial improvement compared to our previous boarder), trialed him through daycare for a couple of days, and then kept him for a full week. They kept up his requested diet, gave him plenty of playtime and rest, and sent plenty of photos and necessary updates throughout his stay. We went for boarding in a pinch and left as new clients excited to bring him back for daycare. I cannot recommend Pawsitively Purr-fect highly enough. Don’t hesitate, just go.
Dropped our 1 year old lab off for Memorial Day weekend for a three day stay. Lizzy was very reluctant to go in as all the dogs were carrying on and the gentleman who took Lizzy in had to sort of force her into the kennel area. When we came to pick her up, we had to kinda force her into the car as she didn't want to leave!!!! LOL. We received numerous pictures each day and a couple of videos that reflected how well kept the dogs are in their care. They were very communicable, pleasant and we will absolutely use them any and every time we need boarding for our lab!
Not only is the owner Jacki so, so sweet and was willing to answer any and all questions I had without hesitation, but they also take the time out of their day to send photos frequently of your pets for you to see what a great time they’re having! My pup has come home happy and worn out every time she has stayed for daycare. I oftentimes feel like she misses it on the days she doesn’t go! 😂. We haven’t boarded with them yet, but have a couple of trips lined up for the summer and have full faith that Jacki and her crew will take great care of our fur baby. 10/10 recommend!
We finally found a daycare/boarding place that we can give 5 stars to! Jax absolutely LOVES going to Jackie's! As soon as we turn on her street, he is pacing the car, ready to get out and go play with his friends! Jax barks at everyone but when Jacki or JR come to the car to get him, no barking! He eagerly jumps in their arms, ready to go! The photos sent twice daily is an added bonus! Jax is our baby, and we can leave him with Jacki and JR and feel 100% comfortable! Highly recommend!!
My two Golden Doodles absolutely love this place! My husband and I also love how they care for our dogs. When we are on the go.It’s great knowing and seeing my dogs are well taken care of is super comforting!!
I was thrilled to find this pet boarding near us for a recent trip. Having a meet and greet with the owner, Jacki, to see the facility and let my dog run around put me at ease. There is a large indoor facility lined with kennels connected to a fenced yard with astroturf and toys. I like that the dogs have free reign to go inside and outside as they please all day (except a few breaks in their kennels to eat, rest, etc.) Jacki was always very responsive via text, and she sent pictures every day (usually 2-3x/day) all the dogs around the yard. My dog came home tired, but content. I will be using Pawsitively Purr-fect in the future.
Amazing!! I really have no other words for Pawsitively purr fect pet sitting. Jackie took such good care of my dog while we were gone! My fur baby is diabetic and needs insulin twice a day. We were updated multiple times a day with Autumns status. I have a hard time trusting anyone to care for her but Jackie was amazing!
My dog, Penny boarded here and had the time of her life! I loved the daily pics and knowing that she was safe and happy. We will definitely be back! Thank y’all so much!!
A friend referred me to Pawsitively Purr-Fect and I'm so glad she did. I have a senior beagle and needed a place for him to board while on vacation. I was so impressed with the Meet and Greet process and tour. I was grateful for the fact that I was given a tour of the whole facility. It was clean and thoughtfully put together. They had nothing to hide, which made me trust them and feel comfortable about leaving my furbaby in their care. All my questions were answered thoroughly. Booking and paying for services is easy. My dog did great. While he was there, I got regular reports and photos so I knew he was having fun and well looked after. I appreciated their attention to my dog's special needs (and my worries.) All the staff I met was curious and friendly. They took excellent care of my boy and I know he will be a regular visitor now.
