My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!

This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!

We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.

Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Vacations are so much more relaxing when I know my fur baby is being looked after. I highly recommend Holly!

Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.

Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. Holly expertly guides Maggie through her days and always sends us lots of great photos to put our minds at ease. She has been very flexible to meet Maggie’s needs and our busy schedule. Her toddler is great around dogs, just like her mom!

Even 10 ⭐️ aren’t enough ⭐️ to express how much I love this place! Doggie daycare has been priceless for someone who works long hours and has a highly energetic husky mix with just a few special personality “quirks!” The staff, the facilities and the service is unmatched and so needed for those of us who love our pets but maybe can’t spend as much time with our pets as we’d like (guilty)! Need more proof? A picture speaks 1000 words!!

Decent customer service. But over the years, they have changed! Prices have gone up, services per cost are less, and the last time my dogs stayed there was bad! She had new sores on her front elbows, and the fur on her rear legs were soaked with urine! A friend that works with Veterinary Hospitals told me to report them to the State. But, I gave the Facility compassion.

My dog loves her time at Bay Breeze. She is always happy to leave me and go play with the staff and she is always excited to see me when I pick her up. The staff are attentive to her needs and she gets to play with other dogs when staff agree it is a suitable match. The staff go out of their way to take care of my precious dog, even picking up her specialized food from the veterinarian across the river. I could not ask for a better home-away-from-home for my beloved pet. I can miss her, but rest easy knowing she is in very capable and happy care.

We were visiting from out of town in September and needed last minute boarding and they were fantastic. I appreciate you taking great care of my boy Moose!

I unfortunately feel as though the quality of boarding care has declined while the prices have gone up. A year ago, play time and time with a staff member was included for each day during the pet's stay, but now, if you want your pet to get the opportunity for play time, it costs an extra 10 dollars each day, and it is also an additional cost for the pet to be visited by a staff member each day. This is quite concerning to me. It makes me fear that the pets' experiences are not as good anymore, which is disappointing.

We found them when we were being turned down because our pup is GSD! No problem for them. It clean, great staff for dogs and owners. Can’t say enough! The last time we used them we were stuck in traffic and they were willing to wait for us past closing!!!Suoer undertanding and helpful!!!!

We went here with our last pack and even our ferrets! The new generation is here, so we’ll be back. So clean and friendly.

I had to bring my fur son Jasper to them because I'm trying to find a place for him and I.. And I would never take my fur son to any other place ever!! I love the ladies there and the owner is such a wonderful lady.. They are the BEST PLACE to take your fur baby to if you need them to be watched..

Our first experience for my baby. And though he was nervous, I am blown away just how much they cared to make not feel so nervous. The biggest part for me was when we were leaving and he let them pet him which usually he growls when on the leash with me but he went right up and put his head down. Thank you, thank you so much for taking such good care of my Chewy. We will definitely come back again if I need to board him.

A dog’s hide-a-way is the perfect place for a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your pup. Dogs run free through woods and streams, and some easy obstacles for their exercise and mental stimulation. There are always plenty of humans in the vicinity of the dogs to insure the safety of the pups. They are a very professional and caring staff. If you want a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your dog, this is the place for you. Our family likes A Dog’s hide-a-way better than the indoor and crated experience of other day care businesses.

This was our first time leaving our family dog Mochi for boarding care, so we were a little bit nervous about it at first. But after meeting the kind staff, seeing the location in person, and having flexible boarding options made us feel so comfortable and at ease. Mochi had such a good time and we cannot express how happy we were knowing she was in such great hands! We also really appreciated all the updates that we received. We cannot wait to continue to bring her here!

We recently moved. My poor dog has had the worst separation anxiety. I couldn’t go anywhere without him. But it was getting to my mental health as well. We are only on day 2, but this has been a godsend. He is sleeping through the night. He's not clinging to me. He is finding peace. I am finding peace knowing that he is being taken care of when i'm working. I could cry just talking about the relief this place has given our little family. Update: we are on week 2. He was an escape artist. And I thought they would kick him out. But they actually found ways to keep him safe. And he is doing so good! And when we are home, he is getting more independent. I can’t thank these people enough. This place deserves 10 stars!!!

AMAZING! The property is great, lots of opportunity for running, climbing, and playing in the creek. The staff is super friendly and engaged with all of the dogs, and I love that they post tons of pics and videos on the Instagram page. They are super responsive to text messages, and often include a photo update!

We highly recommend A Dog's Hide-A-Way for both doggie daycare and boarding! We've been taking our dog here for a few years, and she absolutely adores the staff. We know she's in good hands here. The vast outdoor space allows her to run to her heart's content and the indoor areas are great for extreme weather days.

I can't think Karen and her staff enough for having our dog Mali for 3 days. From the meet and greet, to the staff, to knowing that Mali would be safe. She was able to sleep inside and I know she had fun, because she came home exhausted. I would not hesitate to board your pup here, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The best doggy daycare in town! This place is truly special. With more space to run around and play than a dog could dream of and the nicest owners/staff. Gary and Karen truly care about the well being of the dogs and go above and beyond for them. My little Barry goes there for daycare and I’ve boarded him as well. They’re so generous with their home, allowing him to sleep in the house and cuddle when he’s anxious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Your pups will be in great hands at A Dog’s Hide-A-Way.

I’ve owned two golden retrievers over a span of some 15 years, and having needed daycare and boarding for them, have used a number of daycare and boarding facilities over the years. A Dog’s Hideaway is arguably the best doggie daycare and boarding facility in the Portland metro area. Spread over more than five acres of farmland, with small woods, a creek, and numerous structures and warming/cooling areas for the dogs, it is professionally managed by owners Gary and Karen, who obviously love dogs and what they’ve created at A Dog’s Hideaway. All the dogs are vetted with a meet and greet, and vaccine status updates are requested; problematic dogs are excluded. I feel completely at ease whether my four year old golden, Ellie, is there for daycare or overnight boarding. She runs from the car to the entrance in the mornings when she stays there. The staff is friendly and caring; and they all show love and respect for the dogs. One unique feature is the overnight boarding at A Dog’s Hideaway. Here, the dog’s are moved into the large farmhouse residence of Gary and Karen’s and sleep on sofas or carpets. There is a large garage area where feeding is managed. Ellie was boarded over night last week and I was sent a picture of her in the evening (see below). In the past, if I’ve asked for information on how she’s doing, I will get a number of photos and comments that give peace of mind. I’ve come to rely on the services at A Dog’s Hideway and will use them for as long as we’re in the area with Ellie. I can’t recommend A Dog’s Hideaway strongly enough. My dog loves attending daycare and comes home sooo tired. The staff is friendly and easy to get a hold of if I have questions and they consistently update their IG daily, which I love because I get to see what my girl is up to. I haven’t utilized their boarding services but have had such a great experience with daycare that I plan on boarding in the near future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun environment for their dog!

This is a great place for your dog (s). Pristine clean asphalt paths over 5 acres with fun and engaging things for your pup to do. Whether it be always supervised swimming in the creek or pond, climbing over large logs, crossing over a fun bridge complete with a tunnel, digging in dedicated areas, your dog will never be bored! When you pick up your dog they will sleep for days because they are so tired! There's even a large dog washing tub to bathe your dog when they leave.

I’ve known and worked with Carrie and her pet sitting business for 17 years and I highly recommend her for her timeliness, professionalism, communication and the care she has shown for my dogs. I have somewhat difficult dogs and she was easily able to work with them and sent videos and pictures to me so that I knew they were behaving with her. I wouldn’t hire anyone else!

We were so lucky to find Carrie and her husband to check in on our pets while we were away on a much needed vacation. We had never used a pet setting service before so we didn't know what to expect. However, we were blown away with the love and care they showed our pets and our home. For our first experience they sure set the bar high. Highly recommend!

Having only ever had family watch my cats, I was very nervous to have someone new come into my home and be responsible for my pets. Carrie was wonderful in caring for our older cat while we were away. She came reliably each day and spent time with our cat. Everyday she texted us on how we was doing and sent us a picture of our cat. When we returned home, she had the room where the cat is fed and his litter box is located absolutely spotless. She also left us an activity log of her activities and the cat's behavior that we could review. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone needing cat sitting!

Ginger watched our dog Ellie, which is no small feat. Ellie is an extremely active cattle dog who demands activity. Ginger was up to the task and they fell in love with each other. Ginger is so caring and kind with animals it is really a beautiful sight to see. She really connects with all animals. Ellie was happy and well cared for and we have used Ginger numerous times since then. Ginger is the BEST!!

All I can say is WOW - Ginger was amazing with my 2 cats when I had to go out of town. I am new to Portland and was nervous about finding someone to have come watch my cats for me in my home while I took my first trip out of town. I now have no qualms about future trips because I know my cats will be in great hands with Ginger and her team every time. She brought over toys and played with them and sent pictures/videos every day which was so great. I would 1000% recommend Ginger to anyone needing to find someone to trust their fur babies with!

Ginger has been taking care of my two cats for over two years and she is great! I have an 18 year old cat with early kidney disease and an 8 year old who is frightened of everything after being rescued by firefighters when my condo building had a fire in 2017. Ginger is patient with him and eventually gets him to come out from under my bed covers. My older cat just loves her and climbs all over her. During my last two week trip she came twice a day as it’s important for my older cat to eat regularly. She updated me with photos and videos, easing my anxiety at leaving them for so long. I totally recommend Ginger.

I have four senior kitties who are difficult to take care of: they all have medical issues, take different medications, eat different foods, and are generally wary of strangers. For all these reasons, it’s always been nerve wracking for me to travel and I avoid it as much as I can (and usually worry the entire time I’m gone). I found Ginger’s services and was encouraged by her stellar reviews, and she really is a godsend! My normally shy cats all loved her when she came to meet them and learn about our routine a week before our trip. She was able to medicate them easily and to get purrs out of them (unheard of with previous sitter!). I got video and photo updates after each visit, and for the first time in years was able to actually enjoy my trip! I cannot recommend her enough… thanks to her I might now get to enjoy a weekend away every now and then without worrying or feeling guilty, what a treat!

We have had Ginger watch our two cats several times and have always felt spoiled by the experience. She provides timely updates with pictures and videos of the cats enjoying their own staycation. She brings treats and toys to keep them stimulated and happy. Truly a treat while we are away from home. Romds Cares for my 4 dogs every work day while I am at work they are so caring and loving towards my pets I will use them for as long as I of pets

Nice place to take dog for self dog wash. Can use cash or card at machine. $15 for 15 mins, this was well worth it to me to not have to bathe dog in home bathtub! We have a large, double coated dog (Bernese Mountain Dog) this was much easier to complete his bath using the elevated tub. Machine was easy & simple to use. We will be back for future baths!

I boarded my dog with Bayview and they took such good care of him. They held and cuddled him in the beginning to ease his fears and they took very good care of him. I highly recommend them. They are dog lovers.

Super easy! Directions are on the machines for self wash, employees offered to help too. Haven't had my Chi groomed there yet because I just discovered them but will definitely use the self wash again! So nice to not have to bend down! If your dog also hates the dryer bring your own towel $15 for 15 minutes

Love the self dog wash! It's like a car wash for your dog - very easy to use. My Great Dane actually fit very comfortably in the large dog tub, and the nonskid bottom kept her feeling secure. Even though she's an older girl and not very spry anymore, she had no problem getting in and out. The wash includes shampoo and rinse (of course) but also has a conditioner option and even flea treatment. There's both high and low options for the dryer, so if you have a skiddish dog, you can use the quieter option. Price was very fair and plenty of time on the clock. (We didn't even use the whole time, even on my big girl!) Very nice option when you don't want to go all the way to Portland if your dog doesn't fit into the tub at home!

I've known the owner for years this is where my dog has been dealing with her skin issues and has been bathed regularly and we are so happy with her service. She is very knowledgeable of many aspects of fur babies and highly trusted

This groomer is really truly horrible, in oh-so-many ways. The first thing I noticed when I dropped my dog off was the overwhelming filth. Although I couldn't smell any pee or poop, the whole front of the salon is coated with every other kind of dust, muck, and dirt. At this point, I "noped" my dog right outta there, but she was overdue for a grooming & we didn't want any further delays. The next less-than-lovely thing about this salon was how long it took. Admittedly, our Shih-Tzu was overdue for a grooming, but even with removing mats, a wash followed by a doggie buzz cut should NOT have taken almost 7 hours. ESPECIALLY after scheduling the appointment so far in advance! (Our previous groomer groomed this same dog beautifully in well under 2 hours, no matter how overdue we were. And her facility was clean enough for a surgeon to operate in.) The third unpleasant surprise was that despite my clear verbal and written instructions NOT to spritz our dog with perfume, she was an absolute scent bomb when I picked her up. This failure to follow a basic direction would be an annoyance to many people, but I am allergic to most scents, so their choice to ignore my request could have been dangerous. So, AFTER spending almost 7 hours at this filthy salon, I STILL ended up having to give my dog a bath if I wanted to be able to breathe today. The fourth unpleasant surprise was the price. Our (sainted) former groomer charged us $40 per grooming before she moved out of the area 4 years ago. For that $40, our dog was impeccably groomed in under 2 hours in an ultra hygienic facility, and she didn't need a 2nd bath after grooming. Bay View charged us $105 to groom the same dog over the course of almost 7 hours in a facility I wouldn't allow a pet rat to live in. And they scent-bombed her to the point of me considering a trip to the ER as I write this. I 1,000,000% am okay with paying extra because it had been a while since our dog was groomed, but spending 2.5 times what we spent previously for a dramatically worse end result feels wrong. At the end of the day, yes, our dog does look better. But I'll travel to Idaho for grooming before bringing her back to this salon.

We took our toy poodle there for a groom. We wanted him trimmed short as it was July. They told us we had to bring him in at 9am (1/2 hr away). They didn't actually groom him until late afternoon and we picked him up at 5. He acted extremely traumatized. I'd never seen him like that. He was so shaved his knees were down to skin, yet they didn't touch his butt at all, no trim. They clipped his ear, and I do understand that this happens now & then but this just added insult to injury. We had to wonder if he was kept in the crate all day with no water or potty breaks. He must've drank a whole quart of water when he got home (he's 7 lbs) We'll never take him there again.

They are very nice ladies who love your animals. Who could ask for more. Unfortunately, they aren't taking any new clients. That's the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5*****.

Fantastic! I have taken my furry family to the same groomer/spa for 10+ yrs. I was worried at first (just like sending your child off for their 1st day of school) when I went and picked them up the were happy, pretty and very well taken care of. She is also very intelligent in animal health and pays close attention to anything that concerns her and let's you know. The furry kids are going back for sure.

My lab Millie has been going to Nightshift Petcare since she was 18 weeks old. Joy helped me train Millie and I attribute much of her sweetness to the time she spent learning to socialize with the other dogs at NSPC. Millie attends daycare 2x a week and there is no where else I would leave her for overnight boarding. Joy is the best of the best of the very best!!!

Joy is the best. My pup probably has a better vacation than I do every time I drop them off. Could not recommend higher.

We r very happy we found a clean and great dog boarding for the first time for our dog snow . The staff is very polite friendly and accommodating ! Specially the two young people ( VEC And SID ) who handed over the dog to us , hope I spelled their names correct , sorry if I didn’t . Dropping and picking up was very easy and quick . I so appreciate the cleanliness of the premises and very professional service they provide . Snow was clean and looked very well taken care of when we picked up . Thank you very much . Absolutely love this place. They remember my pup, Miss Maggie, each time we bring her. The front office staff is super friendly. They answer the phones or call you right back every time! They are able to send pictures on occasion. My dog loves it here! Plus all the activities they offer is the best!

THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE AC AT ALL. I realize this is Oregon but it was over 90* for a week straight and all those poor dogs must have been so hot. I would not take my dog here knowing they will suffer in the heat.

Somewhat difficult turn in the driveway at night. Services were extremely good. It was my Corgi's first experience, an he was a happy camper.!.!

They've watched all my fur babies and they are incredibly happy and tired when they get home. That's a sure sign that they're getting some amazing love and attention which is all I can hope for. The cats especially. Usually they're mad when I get home from a trip and with tail wag there is no passive aggressive behavior for days on end upon my return.

My husband and I had our two senior dogs spend a day for dog daycare on 12/9/23 while we were out running errands. We have used Tail Wag Inn several times in the past boarding our dogs and cats and dog daycare. They always took excellent care of our pets and goes above and beyond taking care of them. When we boarded all four of our pets while we were on honeymoon back in 09/23, one of the staff was kind enough to send me pictures updates of my pets when I called to check on them. Keep up the awesome customer service : ) You guys rock!

Immediately felt comfortable leaving our big golden retriever with this friendly team of people. You can sign up for extra services such as more playtime with humans or dogs or nature walks or even a bath and nail trim. Prices extremely good for what you get. Our dog’s name was on a board with other pets arriving that day, along with the names and photos of caretakers who would look after him. Our guy seemed to have a fantastic time! We would book again, 100%!! So glad we found this place.

Absolutely phenomenal service from Tail Wag Inn. I had to board my cat while I moved apartments. The move in date got delayed twice and it ended up being almost a month. Tail Wag Inn was always super understanding and accommodating when I had to change my pickup date for my cat. The people there were super friendly and took great care of Malcom. I couldn't be happier with their service.
