Our miniature dachshund used to be reactive around both dogs and people. He was so nervous that even going outside made him extremely anxious, and he’d bark non-stop at the sight of people or other dogs. We’ve tried other trainers in the past, but they couldn’t get to the root of the problem. We had even considered re-homing him as we felt we'd tried everything. Nessie worked miracles, addressing his reactivity head-on and providing clear guidance on training, along with support whenever needed. She was patient and earned Howie's trust, which made a huge difference. She’s changed both our dog’s life and ours. His world has expanded, and now taking him out is a breeze and not something I fear. A dog who used to hide when I grabbed his lead now eagerly waits by the door. Nessie has also helped with our other dachshund, and both dogs absolutely adore her. Honestly, I can’t recommend Nessie enough!

Our dog is pretty reactive, especially toward some male dogs so it’s pretty hard for me to walk him by myself when needed, so usually my husband walks him as he’s stronger to control him! Found Nessie and did training sessions with her. She gave us clear instructions and techniques to work with our dog! Even though we still need to practice and reinforce all the things we’ve learned from Nessie but I feel lots more confident in walking our dog by myself. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Nessie highly enough. With her help and guidance my spaniel went from zero recall to 100% recall. She is a truly intuitive and kind trainer that enabled my puppy to realise his potential.

My Labrador had major separation issues and had been rejected from other day care locations due to his anxiety. I contacted Happy Paws after they were recommended to me by a family friend, and my dog has never been happier. Knowing that I was heading abroad for a period of time, we started a staged process to give my Lab time to get used to being away from me. With Happy Paws experience, patience and expertise we gave him (and me) the confidence to be apart. His every need was taken care of, to such an extent that I was actually worried my dog would not want to come back with me upon my return. If you want a place where your dogs welfare is a priority, where they get mental and physical stimulation, and you know your dog is going to be happy, then I could not recommend Happy Paws enough.

I cannot express how delighted we are with Nessie and Happy Paws. We had a loving but untameable, scent obsessed 2 Year old Cocker Spaniel and now we have the well trained, obedient, and happy dog we always wanted Nessie has a way with dogs (and owners) , her care and attention to both was a sure fire way to achieving our goals. Recommending 5 stars is really insufficient as she is a star herself and gave so much to us and our dog.

Happy Paws's puppy course gave our golden retriever the very best start in life. I was really impressed by how professional and helpful the team were. They obviously really care about dogs, without being overly prescriptive and overbearing in their advice. Highly recommend.

Nessie and her team are brilliant. Our dog Biscuit is really at home in their company and we trust them implicitly with her care. They go the extra mile, taking the dogs on a variety of walks given them the very best experience. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Nessie is very experienced and they all have a passion for animals. We would thoroughly recommend Happy Paws.

I have 3 dogs and a cat. Nessie came to stay at my house with them for 10 days. I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend her, the dogs were happy and well looked after. She is calm and confident, and I am 100% sure she could handle any situation. She is organised and my house was cleaner after her stay then I had left it. We had workmen here too, and she coped with it all. She is expensive, but she is worth it.

Jessie was amazing with our three spaniels. We are not local and were here for my daughter's wedding. Knowing the dogs would be cared for on the day was a huge weight of my shoulder. We received pics of the dogs walking and an update on their return. When we arrived back at our holiday accommodation all three dogs were happy and relaxed. Many many thanks. I would not hesitate to use the service again or recommend to others.

Lovely stay for our two dogs and Dan is very knowledgeable and caring owner of the business. He is passionate about what he offers and people need to book well in advance which proves that once pet owners find a good place they have no hesitation in re-booking before they leave.

A place that really cares for your dog

Tracy looked after my cat and rabbits while we were away for 10 days. It was not ideal timing because we had builders there while we were away and my cat is very wary of strangers at the best of times. Although Tracy didn’t see my cat every day she reassured me that he had been coming in for food every night. She also did a brilliant temporary repair job for me when one of my rabbit homes developed a hole in the bottom of it. She kept in regular contact and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

We have two female cats with very different personalities and like any pet owner, we are anxious that they are fed, watered and cared for while we are away. This was the first time that we have used Maccy G Pets service and we can report that we are very happy with the service. Tracy visited us to meet our cats before we travelled which was a nice touch. Tracy kept us updated with daily videos of her interactions with the cats and when we returned all was well with them and our home. Thank you for the care. We would happily recommend their service.

We could not be happier with the service provided at such short notice. Our two elderly cats absolutely love Tracy. Sadie, our eldest at 18 with failing kidneys is a hard nut to crack and very hard to please but the daily photos showed us that she was very happy in Tracy's company, along with Jinx, who has suffered with separation anxiety previously. She took the time to come and visit and introduce herself to the cats prior to starting to care for them. We have booked again as they have been so well looked after.
