As a neurotic dog mum I cannot recommend Barehams highly enough! I worry so much that my Henry is ok while I am on holiday but I had heard good things and so gave them a go. Henry was booked into a VIP kennel for 6 nights earlier this month and it was so reassuring to receive regular photographs showing how much fun he was having. He looked so happy and it helped me relax to know he was being taken care of so well. When he was picked up, he was excited but tired and he has been a really good boy ever since (he does sometimes get a bit hyper but not so much since coming home.) I think Barehams did him as much good as a relaxing week’s holiday did me! If, like me, you think of your dog as your furry child, rest assured that Barehams will take brilliant care of them and you’ll receive lots of photo updates to help make the separation more bearable 😊

I felt condfident to leave my cat with them. They were highly recommended from family. My cat looked happy and relaxed when we collected her. Their premises are clean, warm and a happy bright place. The cats have so much room in a large bright clean pen filled with toys, climing posts, steps and clean bedding. I was able to take my time dropping my cat off and was allowed to go in her pen with her to settle her. What a wonderful cattery.

My Golden Retriever Dylan and I have been attending Barehams for nearly 7 years. I can’t thank them enough for looking after my boy. The grooming is exceptional, he goes in looking a bit tatty and comes out looking like a Golden should do and it isn’t rushed. We went to training here before Covid and he needed it, but Day Care is the best, he absolutely loves it, wonderful socialisation which they need. He has boarded a few times while I was in hospital and they looked after him like he was their own you. He absolutely loves it there. I have some physical problems and all the staff are so kind to me without exception, also, it’s a very happy place for dogs and people. Its one hours round trip for me but its so much worth it, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you for caring for my boy, he means everything to me and I know hes safe in your hands

We have just picked up Rex, we are extremely pleased with the service we have received. While on holiday, receiving photo’s regularly really helped us to relax, knowing that he was happy and being well looked after. We couldn’t thank you enough, it, as always, has been very successful.

We have been boarding our 13-year-old dog with Barehams for three years or so, and it’s been the only boarding place where we really feel 100% comfortable leaving our dog. We can really tell after picking her up, even after extended periods of time, what great care the staff at Bareham's take of our dog. We also appreciate the opportunity to purchase blocks of additional 1-on-1 playtime for our dog. It's also really nice to get the photos most days to see that she's doing well while we're away.

I have been bringing my two pamper pooches for years to Barehams they love staying ! First stop at the shop smudge always demanded a new toy!! then off to the VIP without so much as a sad look it always helps to know they enjoy seeing the lovely staff , sadly smudge crossed the rainbow 🌈 earlier in the year and the staff sent a lovely card , thank you it was lovely , Lola now stays on her own but the staff make such a fuss of her. It’s lovely and reassuring when I’m away to see how much fun lola is having nothing is too much trouble so thank you !! your a great team !!

For me the most stressful part about a holiday has always been my worry for my dogs while I’m not around 😬 Well I’m hopeful going forward it’s no longer an issue, I know it’s personal choice but anyone looking to put their dog in kennels, we just used Barehams in orsett while in Benidorm, best decision ever 🤗 they were so good with Bruce, and kept you fully updated daily with pictures and any issues… Where as few weeks ago at a different one it took him 10 days to get back to normal he was a shell of himself when he came home, where with them he came home from the kennels as normal as he went in ❤️ and on picking him up up you could see he was as happy to see the staff there as he was us 🤦‍♀️😂😂 (such a traitor😂)

Quite simply the best in the area. Been around a very long day and have grown the business from strength to strength. All staff are animal lovers. No need to look anywhere else to take care of your animals.

We have always used Barehams over the years to board our dogs, they genuinely care for the dogs and ensure they are well looked after. I highly recommend booking in advance. You get daily updates so you are reassured your pets are doing

I boarded my dog Tina for the first time at 4 Paws Kennels, for the past 2 weeks, and I highly recommend!! As a dog owner who love my baby so much, I was of course worried to leave her at kennels. I was pretty quickly made at ease, Neil and Shelly are just amazing, and you can tell they genuinely care about your dog wellbeing 🫶 I received photos a few times while away, and the photos speak to themselves - Tina had a blast on her own holiday with her doggy friends while I was on my holiday. I picked her up happy, healthy, and smelling so good 😊 we will definitely come back again ✨

Amazing Kennels! We left our 1 year old sprocker with them while on holiday and he had the best time! Made lots of friends and it didn't feel like he was missing us too much! Really lovely family run business, would definitely recommend.

We have an extremely anxious dog who normally goes to pieces when separated from us, so we were a bit worried about her when we left her, we shouldn't have been. These kennels are easily the best and always look after our dogs beautifully. Will definitely use again and can't recommend highly enough.

I recently had my dog Prince stay in dog kennel for the first time, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The owners Neil and Shelly took excellent care of my dog, showing great patience and responsibility throughout. The friendly owners made us feel welcome and at ease. The environment was lovely and perfect for my dog. They were also quick to respond to all my questions, ensuring a smooth and worry-free experience. Highly recommend! Fantastic kennels we sent our two staffies here one was quite nervous & this was our first time using kennels. Whilst our nervous pooch took longer to settle Shelly, Neil & their daughter went over & above to make sure she felt comfortable by sitting with her, hand feeding her & comforting her until she came around, which of course she did. We collected them & all their beds had been washed & toys & both dogs were clean & smelt gorgeous. We had whatapp contact daily until I felt both dogs were settled, we even had pictures. Hugely recommend & we will be returning. We can't thank this family run business enough ❤️

What can I say as I super anxious dog owner where I leave my dog when I go on holiday and plus being really nervous to a previous experience before all I can say is WOW my little dog absolutely loved it there to the point I think he’s already missing being at this place, they kept up with all the things he wanted and needed and gave him lots of affection. He made so many friends and got absolute freedom from wondering the lovely grounds. My dog come back healthy and so happy and I cannot thank them enough for having my little dog for his long stay. I will only use this place now as I can’t thank them enough for actually being amazing in looking after him for me. For anyone looking for a place for your dog please don’t look any further as honestly I’m so nervous and picky and they catered to everything my dog needed for his stay! Our two fur babies, Ellie and Max stayed with Neil and family at 4 Paws for just over two weeks, they were very well looked after, well fed, smelt beautiful and were super happy. Very reasonable price and what you see is what you get, happy, friendly, truthful and wonderful management 😀 …

After a lot of thought I decided whilst I was on holiday to put Aspen into kennels. Once greeted by Neil and Shelly I instantly felt relieved. They picked up on my anxiety of leaving Aspen. Aspen took to Shelly and walked off and didn't look back. He met lots of new friends and had a whale of a time. I bombarded Neil with questions prior to drop off and was never made to feel silly. We just boarded our dogs for the first time with 4 Paws and can honestly highly recommend. You immediately get a sense that your dogs will be well looked after and that was the case when we picked them up, both dogs were happy and healthy. The owners also sent us photos while we were away and responded quickly to any queries we had. Thank you both so much for looking after them so well and will definitely book with you in future.
