I had to leave my darling little Teddy for the first time ever with Jo as a dog sitter and I have to say initially I was so apprehensive as he has always been looked after at home. I could not have been more happy and cannot thank Jo enough. Teddy had the time of his life, made amazing fur friends, was taken on lovely walks and even developed some new passions that I never knew he had! Jo sent loads of videos and texts whenever I asked how he was and I truly cannot be more happier. Ted came back with a spring in his step , totally relaxed and contented to the extent I worry he is bored now he is home! To see him snuggled in with her dogs and having such a good time made my holiday go so much more smoother knowing he was in capable, loving and superb hands. Thank you Jo x I will not hesitate to have him there again xx Can totally recommend your fur baby staying with Jo, you really will have no worries at all 🥰

I have met Jo on several occasions when she has brought her client’s dogs to me for grooming. Jo always goes above and beyond with dogs in her care, she has a very caring nature and has rescue dogs herself, she understands dogs needs and behavioural patterns. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone looking for someone to care for and exercise their fury friend.

Jo is a fantastic caring person who has a vast canine knowledge and our 2 dogs are always excited to see her which says it all. Would highly recommend and is much nicer than putting your dog into a kennel especially if they are rescue dogs, which she has a lot of knowledge about.

We had an unexpected trip to Torquay and needed somewhere for our dog to stay for the day. She loved it, came home tired out and happy. We'll definitely be back when we are in the area again.

This review is left in faith Les will change his ways and realise he needs to take a good hard look in the mirror. The establishment is fine, and this review is of Les the owner himself not the business. If your bringing your dogs here keep doing so, there is no issue with the care of the dogs. The staff are all lovely and all love dogs at heart. Unfortunately the main member of the team Les bullies the staff in particular the young staff and volunteers. I was the latter and wished for a different outcome but after facing les with the issue of name calling and putting me into impossible situations I left and wont go back. Les you will loose all your staff if you keep treating them like what comes out the rear of the dogs you look after. Take a long hard look at yourself man and change your behaviour towards your staff for the better.

Fantastic place to let your dogs socialise and let of steam. Staff are very attentive towards the dogs and interact with them.

Bailey, my puppy loves doggy daycare. They really do look after the dogs on their care. Staff are friendly & contacted me when Bailey was unwell. Bailey gets very excited when he attends 2/3 fays a week.

Wonderful staff who provide an amazing service! My 9 month old staffy adores the interaction with other dogs, the supervision and the enrichment! And they take pictures so you can see what the rascals got up to. They have safeguards in place with COVID so you feel safe dropping off your pups and picking them up. Faultless and flawless!

Holly loves her weekly visit to see her friends at Happy Dogs R Us. The staff are wonderful and the dogs love them. Like the fact that they post pictures of the dogs daily so you can see your dog having fun during the day.

We could not recommend Care of the dog more highly, Sam is amazing. We have used Care of the dog multiple times and we are totally confident that our boy Woody will have a great time staying with Sam and her family. He also enjoys meeting other doggie friends on his walks and we are totally assured he gets the best possible care in a home from home environment. We wouldn't use anyone else. We are very happy knowing he's being looked after safe and well whilst we are away enjoying ourselves on our hols. Sam looked after Bazza recently when we went on holiday. He loved it, playing with the other dogs. It was like he had his own holiday. Took the time to send us photos and videos. Very experienced with a homely feel, we are over the moon that we have found Care of the Dog, highly recommended.

Scout spent 2weeks with Sam. After our first meet and greet, I felt completely reassured she would be well looked after and she was. I received regular updates, photos and videos while she was there. I could not have asked for more and would not hesitate in recommending Care of the Dog.

Our dog Jack stayed with Sam for 9 nights, he is nearly 3 and never stayed away before. He was happy when he came home and settled straight back into our routine. Sam sent a few photos and videos while we were away which was very reassuring. I would recommend her service very professional.

After a trial stay, our dogs were looked after by Sam. I felt reassured that Sam looks after them well and that they are happy when at hers. I’d definitely use Sam’s services again.

Our dog has been going to Animals at home Torbay for a few years. Very happy with everything they do. We use them for daycare & boarding. We feel very at ease when we are away that she is looked after like one of the family. Highly recommend.

Our cat Rosemarie needed some dentistry doing in Newton Abbot. Richard arranged for Liam to take her in the pet ambulance and quite frankly the service was first class! I can't thank you both enough for what would have been a difficult day. I'd give you six stars if I could! Recommended!

Would highly recommend. We have been using their services for many years to take care of our cats and have always been very happy with their services. After recently losing the last of our two cats they were very compassionate and helpful in making a difficult time just a little bit easier. Have not left my rabbits much before as I have quite a few and they can get very stressed quickly but left them with Richard and Debbie and have come home to very calm happy rabbits, would definitely use them again and definitely recommend this couple.

Gemma is an absolute god send when it comes to our boy Oscar! Oscar has been walking with Gemma for just under a year and I have found her reliable, professional and a real dog lover. Oscar has previously been some what challenging for other walkers but Gemma has reassured me that by working together we get the consistency and commitment that Oscar needs. When I get home Oscar is clearly well exercised and enjoying his nap after his walks. Communication is great and Gemma is very accommodating if we need to change days around due to work commitments. High recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️

My dog adores her and she’s professional, loving and cares for all dogs as if they were her own. Its lovely to know that while I'm at work our dog Arlo is out having the time of his life with Gemma. Gemma is extremely reliable, trustworthy and fantastic value for money as Arlo gets an adventure everyday! So pleased to have found Gemma for my pup Smartie. She came and did a house visit to meet Smartie and chat to me. She then started taking smartie out with other dogs from a young pup and he has just come on leaps and bounds. Well socialised and very responsive to recall. He comes back having had just the best time. When he sees Gemma through the door he cannot get to her fast enough, he just adores her. Gemma is reliable and takes the upmost care of her charges I highly recommend her services.

Gemma is fabulous! Her passion for dogs was very apparent on her 1st meeting my young goldendoodle. They go on a wide variety of walks and I love it when i get photos of their expeditions. When I’m on a long day at work it’s great knowing my dog is having a fun time.Thank you Gemma!

Sonya has been great with Tilley who is a rescue dog inclined to be wary of new people and knows her own mind - so it was reassuring to see them get along so well at their first meeting! Tilley has now been joining group walks for a few months and has really come on well - she's much more settled in the car, zooms and plays with the other dogs and her recall is getting much better ( although it can still be abit hit and miss so not giving up the long line just yet! ) She always comes home happy, tired and often wet since she can't resist a muddy puddle or river paddle - Sonya often sends a short video of the walk and it's great to see all the antics! We’re new to Devon, recently relocating from Derby and in the process of doing this, leaving our fantastic dog walker behind!! This was probably one of the hardest things to do and since then, finding a replacement in our new area that meets our needs, has been a challenge and not as easy as I thought it would be. But then I found Sonya who owns Paws and Hoofs on the Moors, she came and met me and the dogs in our own home, talked about what we were looking for and what she could offer, and generally made me feel very confident that she would be a good fit for our dogs and would make it her priority to get to know them, understand them and take care of them as if they were her own……all very important things to us, when trusting someone else to walk our dogs for us whilst we’re out at work. And she is already proving to be a good choice and is just the perfect match for us and although it’s early days, so far the pooches look like they are enjoying their walks and Sonya reports back each time, to reassure me and let me know how they’ve got on during their walk. So pleased to have met Sonya and hope our new routine continues to work well for the pooches and she enjoys walking with them. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a dog walker and can’t fault the service so far!!

We met Sonya and Bosco a short while ago, and after a few meet ups and field walks, started to have her help us with our unsociable dog. We have utilised her both for non group walks and house sitting, which we have been extremely pleased with. On walks, our girl comes back happy and tired which is great, but most importantly when Sonya and Bosco house sat, we came back to a clean home and happy girl. Despite the awful weather Sonya had managed to keep the house clean, wash the used towels and even hoover up before we got back. Thank you Sonya and Bosco, highly recommended

My 2 dogs enjoyed their first walk with Sonya. There was torrential rain during the walk and my mutts came back soaked - but happy!! Sure they'll be as keen for the next walk.

Sarah is absolutely brilliant with our big buff head golden retriever. He completely adores her and loves his adventure walks with her and her little pack. She is also completely trustworthy and has done house sitting here for us too, also looking after our nervous rescue cat and leaving the place in a far better state than when she arrived! Sarah is outstanding. Such a kind and caring person who is really thoughtful. Always fully prepared for all eventualities. The highlight for me is she brought 4 dogs (mine & my daughter’s) to my wedding so they could be in the photos. It was absolutely amazing and made my day. Having moved to the area we needed to find a new cat sitter (which I was quite nervous about following a bad experience with another company). Sarah was great with our older, quite timid cat. She sent photos daily to reassure us she was ok, gave her medication and even watered our plants. I absolutely trusted her with the house and our much loved cat and will be using her again when we next go on holiday.

Cannot thank you enough for helping us out with our French bulldog coco! We recently went away to Florida and our frenchie was staying at my father in laws house! Being away for a few weeks meant that she would need regular walks and exercise ! I came across Sarah and I’m so glad that we did! We had regular updates and photos and she gave coco the best walks! Sarah looked after our cockapoo Sid on my daughter’s wedding day and did a fantastic job including arranging a super photo with the bride and groom and being lovely with all the guests and family she met. My favourite pet sitters by far! I was a bit apprehensive of leaving my cat alone for a week due to her separation anxiety and general nervousness but Elle and Archie put my mind totally at ease. Elle is a godsend! Contacted her super last minute after I had to go away urgently and had to find care for my two elderly cats. As a fellow dog walker myself. I often see Lorna out on walks with her clients dogs, & if I felt in anyway she was not capable of controlling or having any dogs safe whilst in her care. I would not put one of my own clients dogs in her care while I am on maternity leave. She has a kind nature to her, & every dog she has with her shows how much they adore her. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service, Lorna is qualified and experienced, but above all she is passionate and had the best interest of my pets at heart. Nothing was too much trouble. Great value, trustworthy and reliable. I noted one negative review on Google , this is a million miles away from my experience and as someone who has over 15 years experience teaching Animal Science I can vouch for Lorna's knowledge and competence.

Lorna recently looked after my two cats Talis and Luca and she was brilliant. Very professional and caring. Having not left my cats before with someone I did not know, I was a bit nervous but after meeting her before I went away I felt very confident as it was obvious that she loves animals. I am keen to express my thanks to Lorna who kindly supported me last week when my normal dog walker was quite unwell and my husband working away and myself full time working, I was in a state of panic for Smartie and his dog walks. Lorna was able to pick up Smartie walks from the day I contacted her. Smartie came back a very happy pup. He really enjoyed his walks and especially when with other dogs of Hazy Days Lorna was professional, came to pick up Smartie when she said she would and just lovely to meet. You could tell that Lorna really cares for the dogs she walked and more importantly Smartie was always bouncing to get out of the door to get to Lorna when she arrived. Lorna is gentle, calm, focused on your animals well-being and obviously knowledgeable about animal behaviour and welfare. She walks my big labrador and he adores his walks with her. I trust her with a key to my home and even more valuable my dog. She is flexible with times and days, easy to arrange dates with and Merli comes back happy and tired after a run around with his best friend. Choosing her for dog walking was a great choice.

I visited Torbay and needed my Dalmatian walked as I had a meeting he couldn’t attend with me. I’m a fellow dog walker in another area of the country and I was blown away by Lornas service. She is absolutely amazing, my boy loved her. She’s highly knowledgeable, professional and anyone can clearly see she truly loves dogs. Highly recommend!

Launa has just looked after my cats whilst I was away for a few days……my boys are very timid but Launa was amazing with them they were very happy and very well cared for. She’s so in tune with both the animals needs and their owners anxiety’s. I would highly recommend her services.

Liz looked after my jack Russell Titch who’s 13, she is just fantastic and so caring and kind. Titch loved it there didn’t want to come home! He was so well looked after and loved making new little friends 🐶 couldn’t recommend Liz high enough loved the daily updates too put my mind at. We came across Liz when we booked a holiday abroad and didn't want to put our 14 year old and 13 year old in Kennels. Obviously, due to their ages, we were very nervous to leave, no need to worry. Liz would send pictures and updates via WhatsApp, and it was lovely and reassuring how well the trio looked. We also have a 6 year old who is a rescue only had a year before going away. Already booked them for their next holiday.

Absolutely 100% would I recommend Liz and Dinki Dogs for dog boarding. We had regular texts and photos with updates which re-assured us that Hugo (cocker poo) had indeed settled and behaved himself with the other residents. Julia looked after our cat Phoenix when we went away on one of our many holidays. Just to see Phoenix relaxed when we returned was all the value we needed. Julia is prompt reponding to any e-mails and would not use anyone else if we were still back in the UK. I would very much recommend Paws Pals to anyone.

We first contacted Paws Pals 5 years ago when my wife and I were both travelling extensively. At the time we needed a cat sitter for two cats for 6 weeks. Since then we have used them frequently for long and short periods of time. Over the years we have had many difficult requests, for example we adopted a stray tom cat 2 years ago that had to be kept apart from the other cats for a month and during that time we had to be away for a couple of weeks. Julia, who owns Paws Pals, did not mind in the slightest and got on with everything without any issues. We now have 3 cats who all need feeding different food, at different places and one of them is an indoor cat who requires a litter tray. I have to say Julia has been amazing over the years and we owe her so much. She is super responsive, efficient and flexible and we trust her completely. The cats never seem to miss us when we get back.

We've used Julia to feed our two cats for three years and have been very happy customers. We always come back to a clean and tidy kitchen and happy cats, and Julia is always very responsive to emails, both before and during the cat-sitting.

I met Ollie and Emma (Paws Pals) as my lovely friendly neighbours, and was delighted to have them looking after my two cats for the past few years while I've been on holiday. They not only provide an excellent and reassuring service for the humans, but very obviously love getting to know new cats. It is evident that they genuinely care for them. They get extra points for not balking at the sight of my fiddly water dispenser!
