Kayla is amazing. She’s the only person I trust with my high energy and extremely timid pup. Her situational awareness working with sensitive animals is unmatched. We started with puppy classes and are now loving weekly private training walks. So far, every single recommendation she’s made for our puppy has been spot on.

Kayla is amazing. She’s calm truly loves dogs has so much patience for them. And all of her trading strategies are positive and work. Parallel club is a fabulous way to get your dog used to leash walking and not being reactive to other dogs.

The only dog walker and dog trainner in Whistler I trust and use. Kayla, the dog nanny is extremely responsible, reliable and my pups love her!!! My 2 pups can be a handful, they are 1 and 2 years old, full of mischief and puppy energy. We started with her Parallel Walking Club, then private training sessions, and then walks for the pups. The whistler dog nanny has been amazing!! I could not have asked for more from Kayla and her staff, cedar loves every walk! Kayla was very accommodating when I inquired about dog sitting for the same evening, during our family Whistler trip. She was very prompt to answer my questions and follow up throughout the day. We recently moved to the area and feel very fortunate to be able to have Kayla and her team exercise our young Golden. They are extremely caring and go out of their way to keep the dogs safe while in their care. The group walks are Lumi's favourite part of the day.

Alex and Alex have become part of the family taking incredible care of our dog, Bowen. Being a Springer Spaniel X Australian Shepard he needs extra stimulation and walkies and they give him both in his weekly pack walks. Communication with the Alex’s has been super easy from sorting out scheduling for each week, payment, even when we found out he has a food allergy and they helped honour that request. Worth every penny and I know Bowen would say so too as he always verrrrry excited to see them. We get a super tired dog afterwards, which makes our household run smoother with a happy dog

Awesome stay for our 1 yr old labradoodle. Lots of long walks in the snow with a few other dogs. Alex sent us daily photos/videos of our dog having a blast outdoor. Great solution for us going to Whistler since most condos don't allow pets.

Alex and Alex are the BEST. Our dog Juno almost loves them more than us and gets beyond excited when they arrive at the door to pick her up! They are friendly, reliable, punctual and love Juno as much as we do. We could not be happier. AND, they house sat our two bengal cats, Lily and Scout. I don’t know where to start with this review— Happy Trails is by far the best dog walking and sitting company I have ever come across. The owners treat our dog like family, in fact, we call them Auntie and Uncle (which may make me sound silly— but what can I say, we are crazy dog owners and our pup is family!) The peace of mind I have leaving her with them is priceless. We receive video’s, pictures and updates while she’s away. Abbey, Becca and the rest of the Doggy Tales team are absolutely amazing! My dog has been going on group walks all summer and has benefited greatly from his time with Becca. He is high energy breed which can sometimes difficult to manage, but Becca has always been very transparent with her communication and I feel confident that his needs are being met.

Abbey and Sadie are the very best dog walkers and caregivers you could ever hope to find. They are consistent, reliable and caring. They are trained in positive reinforcement techniques. They spend time getting to know your dog and finding the best pack group to fit them in with. My dog loves going with them on small pack walks and always comes home happy and tired. I have total trust in these very ethical doggy people.

If you ever need anybody to look after your dogs while in Whistler, Doggy Tales is the people to contact!!! Abbey stayed at our hotel while we went to a wedding and took AMAZING care of our three puppers! Our dogs are a lot to handle and quite loud, and one dog has a lot of behavioural problems regarding strangers but she was able to handle all their issues with ease! The dogs seemed to love her, and even Bentley my one dog who usually hates strangers ended up cuddling up to her on the couch by the end of the night! THANK YOU SO MUCH from my family and of course Bayley, Bentley, and Kaia!!

Roo had an amazing day with Abbey! It was great to work with Abbey. She is lovely, caring and obviously very good with dogs. She checked in to make sure that Roo would be a good fit for her group to ensure both Roo and her other dogs had a good day. Roo came home tired and happy! My dog absolutely loves his weekly walks with Sadie and Abbey! I love the report cards they send out after the walks. It always comes with awesome pictures of my boy having fun! Would highly recommend!

We had Abbey look after our 3 year old dog Moose while we were visiting Whistler. It was one of the best daycare experiences we’ve had. She picked him up and dropped him off at our hotel and was very punctual and provided timely updates and pictures throughout the day. Moose had a great time and was tired for several days later. We would definitely use Abbey again when we visit Whistler.

These ladies are the best! Abbey is so thorough and ensures that all the dogs in her small walks are compatible which is great for the more sensitive pups. Report cards and photos after every trip out, even if it's just a check in. They go above and beyond and love the dogs as if they were their own. I cannot say enough good things.

We had Abbey watch our dog during our wedding weekend up in Whistler. She was awesome with our dog and allowed us to be fully in the moment, knowing he was having a blast and being taken care of. Abbey was extremely accommodating, and worked great with our wedding planner, so that our dog was able to be a part of our big day! We would 100% recommend Abbey to any of our friends and family!!

I am so happy with the personalized service from Doggy Tales. Abbey and Sadie are very dedicated to all dogs and their well being. They work hard meeting dogs beforehand and finding the right group walk for their many different personalities. Our dog had a great experience at Ruth & Jeff’s. They were extremely considerate and flexible with our long drive to Whistler from Golden in light of the highway flooding, and Ashley was very communicative throughout. Max made a ton of friends and came back healthy & happy. Would 10/10 recommend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ruth’s! For the past 3 years we have organized our vacations so that we can leave our boy at Ruth’s despite living several hours away. Ruth’s Pet Hotel is great and the team is lovely. They take amazing care of our pup when we’re away. She gets so excited when we drop her off and comes home well socialized and exercised. I highly recommend boarding with Ruth’s - we never worry when they have our dog. It helps that they post photos to their Instagram account of the dogs having a blast in the yard.

We have been bringing Mr. Walter to Ruth and Jeff’s since he was 6 months old, and he almost 6 now. We are so happy to have a place like Ruth’s Pet Hotel in our community. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and most importantly Mr. Walter LOVES going there. All we have to say is “your going to Ruthies” and he runs to the door with his tail wagging!

Charlie had a really fun time at Ruth's Pet Hotel. It is nice of them to even give him a wash before handling him over to us, he is clean and has been given a bath. Jessie the dog caretaker is awesome! Ruth’s Pet Hotel has a big area for the dogs to run and it is located at the base of mountainous Pemberton Valley, great outdoor location! They also have a dog pool which Charlie enjoyed for sure. Most of all they have very reasonable and affordable rate and quickly responds to inquiries. Charlie would want to come back again😊

Feel very lucky to have found Ruth Pet Hotel during my stay in Whistler. Was able to enjoy skiing knowing my dog was well looked after. The place is well organized, affordable, friendly, stimulating for the pet. She was happy to go back the second day and really enjoyed herself. Slept thoroughly once we got back to the hotel!

Benny love love loves this place! So stoked it exists! When ever I cant get Benny covered when im out of town, Ruths is my number one spot. I trust the crew there and he always looks like hes having so much fun on the instagram posts.

My boy Bentley is just obsessed with Ruths and would live there if I let him. They take such amazing care of all the pups and are very cautious about the amount of dogs they keep at once for safety reasons and although it means they book up quickly, I am thankful that they pride safety over too many dogs. He has the tendency to be a little anxious but when we get to Ruths he just goes mental with excitement and he is always so tired on pick up. I know they take amazing care of my boy and I know I can trust them to keep all the dogs safe, exercised and happy. Cannot say enough fantastic things about this place!

I definitely recommend Ciel and Jared for your dog care needs. They have a way with dogs, are very professional, friendly, patient and reliable. Our doggy stays with them twice a week for the day and she runs straight in their building tail wagging. She warmed up to them so fast when it usually takes her a long time to warm to new people. They always send the best photos of her during their days together. Overall I'm really happy with their service.

Trusty Pet Sitters have become our favorite pet sitters whenever we’re in Whistler. Our elderly dog loves his days spent with them, leaving us free to enjoy our adventures!! Ciel & Jared follow our specific care guidelines, quickly respond to messages and always send numerous photos of our happy pup. They are super flexible to meet our needs, even offer pick up/drop off services! Highly recommend!

Ciel and Jared were super accommodating for our last minute reservation, and our pup was once again happy and well cared for by them. Fed, walked, and cuddled, with a constant stream of photo updates. Communication was great, the hand-off was super easy, and our little guy looked like he had a perfect day. It was all last minute, and a short long weekend stay, but it worked out Ciel and Jared could jump in and help us. While we were sorry not have done the hand-off in person due to a last minute medical appointment, we returned to a clean and tidy home, with bowls of our garden veggies prepped for dinner, and ‘chores’ completed. They sent a couple of photos and texts during their stay which was reassuring. You can tell they are experienced house and pet sitters and we feel lucky to have had the opportunity to go away and leave our "fuzzy buddies”, and our world, in their capable care.

Steve is a dog wizard. We have been using his services for half a decade and he's always taken good care of our pup, who can be a handful sometimes! When we've boarded with him in the past, he's gone over and above - even clipping our dogs nails which is a task even the vet hasn't accomplished. We more frequently use the day care service and our pup comes back stimulated, happy, and tired.

I have a Golden Retriever, Daisy, and she goes out 6 days a week with Steven and he is absolutely amazing. I can tell how much he loves my dog and my level of comfort is EXTREMELY high each day he picks her up and puts her on the bus!!! I would recommend this to everyone who asks.

Stephen has been great with our two dogs. We have two rescues from Mexico and they adore their time with Stephen and the crew. He’s a dog person and clearly took the time to understand our dogs before taking them out.

We have nothing but great things to say about Outward Hound. Our two dogs wait rave to the OH van every day they get walked. They get socialized, they get to run to free and Steve brings them back toweled off and exhausted. Highly recommended for anyone who wants their pups to enjoy an off leash experience.

He loses dogs, has lost many for years now, and unfortunately many of them have died, even just recently. He’s complacent. He’s walked my dogs in the past and my male would growl at him during pickup, not wanting to go with him (not one other human on earth does/has he growled at). And now after being on walks with him as a puppy, my female is terrified of being approached by other dogs because Stephen told me the other dogs would chase her (like it was a game). He needs to close up shop!

Stephen is super responsive, flexible, open, and up front in all his communication which really helped us develop trust in Outward Hound. When our dog comes home and just wants to snooze we know he's had a good hike - the amazing photos that Stephen posts are just the proof! We are really grateful to Outward Hound and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any other dog owner.

Would not recommend. My dog has come back from walks with Stephen with deep bite marks on three separate occasions. During peak times he has up to 16 dogs at once which I think is unmanageable. He has also lost him, and was never told until I got a surprised phone call from a hiker who found him. He was found close to the highway and thank goodness because he probably would have otherwise been hit. Stephen has poor communication, and can be quite rude. I have not heard good things about how he handles dogs but cannot personally testify to this.

My boyfriend and I are extremely unhappy with our experience with Outward hound. The first time our dog went on a walk we received a call from Stephen that he didn't have our dog with him. Naturally we were upset and worried. Stephen very rudely told me to calm down and that it was no big deal as this has happened before with other dogs. We don't think that this was justification for anything, in fact it raises more concerns in our mind of his capability. While we were on our way to help Stephen look for our dog we received another call. Better news this time, our dog had made his way back to Stephen's van. When Stephen dropped our dog off we listened to his account of what had happened. He admitted he made a mistake by letting our dog off leash too early. When we were attempting to express our concerns about the situation he repeatedly talked over us and was dismissive of the situation. We told him we will not be using his services and do not expect to pay for the walk. He ended the discussion by walking away and saying "go f**k yourselves". This was the least amount of professionalism I have ever seen in my life.

Stephen truly cares about dogs, I know this for a fact! I travelled far up north for work 14 days at a time. I had a frenchie, a frenchie which in fact loved heat! Would bake in the sun and in winter in front of the fireplace almost too hot to touch and was in heaven. Stephen made my dog steps to his bed. My dog is beloved to many. My opinion, living in different provinces, and different dog walkers and boarders is that he’s of the free’r, sort which really appeals to me. My dog wasn’t in a cage, I wasn’t constantly trying to be upsold with different care products and practices nor was I solid on any false ideal. I will use and continue to use Stephen. I’ve seen firsthand how much he cares and will continue to care

We are so grateful that we found Outward Hound when we moved to Squamish! We never worry when our dog is with Stephen - be it for an afternoon hike or for a week long stay - we know he is in the best of hands. Stephen takes the time to form a special bond with each dog and that combined with the backcountry fun and socialization with other dogs makes for the best dog care possible. Recommend Outward Hound 100 percent!

Such a great and easy experience. Have never left my dog with anyone outside of family before and only a few times but Charlotte was so incredible and made me feel so comfortable. My dog immediately loved her and she was updating me the entire time and sending pictures of their adventures (she knew I was a little nervous). Highly recommend. Will use anytime we return to Whistler and need am extra hand.

I cannot recommend this business enough! We used Whistler Dog Sitting on two different occasions while visiting Whistler and had a fantastic experience! Sarah is really easy to communicate with and so flexible that she accommodated our last minute sitting request that was less than 24 hours before with no issues. Kate watched our dog-reactive dog on both occasions and was wonderful with him. She took our dog out to quieter hikes and sent us lots of pictures. Our dog came back happy and tired. Overall A+ experience. Look nowhere else for dog sitting services in Whistler. These guys are affordable, know what they do and are the best!

We used Whistler Dog Sitting on our recent Anniversary trip to Whistler. We brought our 5 month old high energy Aussie puppy, but soon found out it was too hard to shop & go out for nice dinners. I called & received an immediate response. Communication was A+! Puppy had never been left before, but happily jumped in w Sarah. Absolutely amazing service w pics sent throughout the day. Puppy went on hikes& playtime w lots of care & came back happy & tired.Pick up & drop off in front of our airbnb was perfect. Only con was the price at $500 For 2 full days. But I do not regret. Sarah saved our vacation!

Amazing service. Great staff and communications. Josh was our walker and came to the Fairmont Hotel to pick up our dog and drop her off on two separate walks. He took pictures of Tia on her walk and was a great communicator, along with Sarah, the owner operator. We will definitely use their services again! Note that they have a minimum 2hour call out. So if your dog just needs to be taken out for a pee, you might as well get a 2 hour walk in at the same time.

We absolutely LOVE whistler dog sitting! Sarah and her team are caring, loving, experienced dog handlers who look after our two fur babies on a regular basis allowing us to ski and golf without worrying about them. They handle our reactive dog expertly and provide the care and comfort needed to make Bailey and Lily super excited to see their sitters whenever they arrive. We loved Anna so much! She took care of our 5 month old pup on our wedding day and he had such a great day with her. She even sent us pictures to show his day and picked him up from our hotel and dropped him back off! She even brought him by our venue mid-wedding reception so our photographer could take some photos of us with him. I’ll post some of the photos she sent us of his day. He got to play with puppies and have his own special day while we had ours. ❤️

Our dog always sleeps well after his walks with Whistler Dog Walkers. He gets to run, swim and play with dogs of different sizes and breeds. I like to see their adventures through the Instagram feed and Facebook. We've been using Blaine and his walkers for about a dozen years combined with our new and old dog. Most notably, Sam is great. She has been walking the dogs and bringing them back safely and towelled off from their fun on the trails!

Emma at Whistler Dog Walkers is amazing! She came right to our hotel and took our little Finnish Spitz Penelope for a 3 hour hike and dog sitting. This allowed us to explore whistler a little without worry about venues being pet friendly or not. The Finnish Spitz is a somewhat stubborn breed and doesn’t always warm up to strangers. By the end of the 3 hours Penelope was lying on Emma’s coat and blocking the door because she didn’t want her new friend to leave! Thanks so much for a job well done and I would 100% recommend Emma at Whistler Dog Walkers!

Blaine is a business man. No fault on him, he wants your dollars as many days as possible. There are more dogs than dog walking services in the Whistler area. After walking my dog personally and having his walkers work with my dog for three weeks, he still called her "he" instead of she. He committed to dates and then cancelled on us for clients that were offering him more $. He says he cares about your dog, but he really cares about your dollars.

My pup was SOO tired he barely made it through the door before he fell asleep! Sam did an amazing job and even sent us photos during the day. She did a great job communicating throughout the day, and let us know when she would be at the door prior to pick up and drop off. Definitely will be calling them again. BEST dog walkers around! My dog LOVES them so much he runs and waits by the door when he hears them coming up the street. He has hours of fun in the trails and LOVES all of the walkers and other dogs (and the cookies). WDW takes such good care of our dog- and he comes home tired!

I have brought my dog in the past when we would travel to Whistler on vacation, and had a great experience with the direct people involved in picking up and dropping off my dog from his adventure days. This year however, there seems to be a new management or team in place because I had reached out in August to book two adventure days for my stay at the end of November, and had a really bad customer experience never being able to confirm anything or make the reservation, nor were my multiple phone calls and emails returned. I finally received a response after being persistent to the point of it being ridiculous, only to be told that they were full on the day I had requested 3 months in advance!! Unfortunately the lack of customer care, interest in helping me book this (well in advance), and complete lack of communication or follow-up are unacceptable.

These guys are amazing. I was hesitant signing my pooch Rudy up because he has social anxiety and never really responded well to other dogs. Blaine took the time to introduce Rudy to the pack and I have to say Rudy just loves his walk days. He gets so excited when Blaine Lisa or Sam come knocking and he has lots and lots of friends. It warms my heart.
