Dog Sitters in Pembroke Dock

My rescue dog Lottie was in need of a little doggie spa day and after a bit of an Internet search I found Bark Parc which fit the bill on what I wanted. I arrived early due to not knowing exactly where I was going and was greeted by a lovely polite young man. He nipped next door to inform the groomer I was there and explained what I wanted for Lottie. The groomer was busy and the young man took Lottie and told me I'd receive a text when she was ready. I have to say I was surprised how confidently Lottie left us as it was her first time at a groomers. Just over an hour later I picked up a very happy, pampered pooch that smelled like a lovely pomander. I would highly recommend this business, it's affordable the staff are lovely and Lottie came out perfectly groomed.

Thanks to Sarah-Jane for looking after our cat Billie whilst we holidayed at home. Great communication by phone and text, a friendly welcome and nice clean pods with an option for Billie to hide away behind a door or venture out into a more open space with a view of the central courtyard. Lovely to see occasional updates and lots of happy cats and dogs enjoying their stay via the Facebook page. Thanks guys, look forward to seeing you next time.

I booked my cocker spaniel Bo into kennels last minute with a family emergency and learnt that the lady that looked after my cat had taken over the kennels! Bo is very nervous and hasn’t been in kennels before so I was concerned about leaving her nonetheless. I was so relieved that evening when I spotted on Facebook a clip of her happily walking. The regular updates really helped put my mind at rest and when I went to collect her she actually doubled back to try and go in with Terry and Sarah! Cannot recommend enough.

Our Cocker Spaniel stayed here for several days during our two week holiday. Very flexible approach allowing you to take the dog out for odds days. Recommended.

Posh paws is a real home from home. Our precious boy Watson absolutely loves his holidays here. Rhian and her family welcome their doggy guests into their beautiful home with warmth and love. Rhian is very trustworthy and highly skilled in dog behaviour. The dogs are walked regularly and exercised with imaginative games and fun activities. We are so happy to leave our fur baby in Rhian’s very capable care. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely lady.

My dog had a fantastic week with Rhian and her family whilst I was away on holiday!! It was lovely to receive daily photos of Nacho to see him out playing and walking with the other dogs and Rhian even gave me his ‘doggy diary’ when I collected him, so I could read up on what he had been doing each day😄 He loved it so much he was in no hurry to leave when I went to pick him up! I won’t hesitate to use Rhian again when I go away and it’s comforting to know there is somewhere so nice that I can leave him to be cared for. A real home from home for Nacho, he’s even allowed to sleep on their beds😉😂 Thanks very much Rhian.

We left our two Shih Tzu’s for two days while we were on holiday in the area and wanted to do some outings where the girls couldn’t come. I was a bit apprehensive about leaving them but I needed have worried at all. We had regular updates and great communication. The girls looked like they had a great time and were very happy to go back for the second day. I would definitely use Dinky Dogs again if we come back to Pembrokeshire.

I got my first dog before Covid,also during Covid I was diagnosed with COPD.It made looking after a young busy springer a bit tricky.Thanks to Happy Paws in Merlin’s Bridge in Haverfordwest we both got through that and my thoughts of having to regime him did not happen.I now live with my mum and dad. My dad sadly has dementia and my boy is an amazing help for my dad but this could not of been possible if it wasn’t for Happy Paws day service.I would have had to either not helped them or given up my dog, obviously my boy would have been rehomed. I can not even begin to to express my gratitude to Sammie and her team. Fabulous service with a genuine caring for local people and there needs.Thank U ❤️

Very understanding and professional with our 11 month old Standard poodle Charlie, he’d never been anywhere without us, they were so patient helping him settle in. He’s now a regular visiting once a week and he thoroughly enjoys it, he comes home absolutely exhausted. It’s wonderful thinking he’s having a fun day with his friends and not relying so much just on us. They have Amazing facilities here and great fun for all. Thank You. Jen, Steve and Charlie

Very flexible, Can choose different days and times each week to suit your needs. Brilliant for dog and especially puppy socialization when this is limited due the covid situation at the moment. Tires both my dogs out mentally and physically and really breaks up the week for them. They both are really excited to go in and play with their friends

I was booked in for an induction - I arrived and was told by a laborer that they were not open. I then looked on their Facebook to find out they were closed. Nobody contacted me to let me know and in fact, when I commented on their post, they publicly told me it was my own fault for not having checked their Facebook (I had prior to 6pm the previous evening when it had been posted that they would be closed). In their defense, they did offer me a free induction to make up for it - But I'm not interested in taking my dogs somewhere that will happily try to make people out to be stupid on a public forum and then delete said post to replace it with one that was clearly to make people feel bad for them instead.

Absolutely love this place!!! My black lab Maddie loves it too ❤️ She runs in and sleeps on the way home 🐶 Louise and all the staff are warm, friendly, professional and fantastic with all the dogs! Can’t recommend them enough 🥰

So took Oxo my 10 yr old spaniel for his first ever professional grooming sesh. Was like taking your child to first day at school!! Needn't have worried. Picked up a very happy handsome hound. Would defo recommend Professional and caring Thank you happy paws

Always helpful and flexible. Shadow was reactive to other dogs so I was concerned how he would settle down. No problem! And really happy coming home

Fantastic service!! We booked in our little sausage dog Noodle to stay with Janet whilst we had our wedding weekend. We were greeted with smiles and other friendly doggos staying there too. Noodle immediately enjoyed his company. I was given regular updates on how he was doing which was very much appreciated as this was his first time staying at a dog's sitters. But he definitely had an amazing weekend stay! I can't recommend Janet highly enough - Noodle will definitely want to stay again next time we are down west Wales.

Looked after our dog Lux for a couple of nights while we stayed at the nearby Fields Lodge BnB, which doesn't allow pets. Janet was amazing and responsive, very flexible with our plans, and clearly took great care of Lux. We picked Lux up for a walk and dropped her back off at Home from Home, and she went running right in, wagging her tail--she clearly loved it in there. It felt great to know Lux was in good hands being looked after, would completely recommend!

Burt our little cockerpoo puppy went on Holiday with Janet and Sharon. He had a great stay, he was spolit and well looked after. We could not have asked for more for our little baby. Thanks Burt will visit again next year x

Took our dog on short notice when we wanted to visit Skomer Island Nature Reserve. Janet looked after her very well and sent us pictures too (which made our Daughters feel better about leaving her with a 'stranger'). Very good and reasonably priced service. I recommend Janet if you need your dog looking after. She is clearly a doggie person and it is much better that a kennel!

Our mastiff Holly has just spent Christmas at Home from Home and was very well looked after. Holly only stays with very few other people but will happily run into Home from Home. Home from Home care for Holly as much as we do and we'll leave her at this establishment whenever needed. Thank You Holly, Richard & Christine Davies

My dog loved loved her stay here and it was nice to leave her somewhere i knew she'd be looked after as if she was at home, as i don't like the idea of kennels. Run by Lovely friendly people, would definitely recommend

For a perfect home from home for your dog you will not find a batter place. The dogs become one of the family very quickly. Would highly recomend

We are so grateful that we found Jesse at Walkies! We were in a jam while moving house and urgently needed someone to help ensure our cat was fed and checked on while we were away sorting things out. Jesse was completely understanding of our tech issues and has been a real lifesaver. We will definitely use Walkies! again whenever we have to go away, thank you!

I have two large dogs that Jesse has looked after on two separate occasions while I have been away on holiday. The dogs love Jesse visiting and I now feel confident they are in good hands. I receive regular updates and photos of my dogs playing and having a good time which puts my mind at rest. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jesse for dog care and coming into your home. Jesse dog sat our 9 month old labradoodle for 2 nights whilst we got married. Also our cat and gpldfiah. He is a very excitable pup with seperation anxiety so we were so worried about leaving him. Jesse came to visit us twice before the wedding to meet our pup and get him used to herself. She was so thorough and easy to get along with. She gave us regular updates with lots of pictures whilst we were away. She was great and i would recommend her to anyone.

I have found Jesse to have a gift with dogs, my dog was a rescue and had baggage, she had been to another place but they couldn't deal with her. But she is lot more confident and can be let off her lead she is now a very happy settled dog

Jesse walked my dog and checked on her in the morning, using the app was super easy and provided lovely updates on how my pooch was doing and having the pictures were an added bonus. Very professional and would highly recommend. Will be using her in the future for sure, made everything super easy and provided great reassurance.

What a kind, caring walker she is. So nice to know yourdog is going to be safe with her. Jesse does not take your dog anywhere dangerous for them to harm themselves and all dogs including mine look forward to thier walk with her.

Jess dog sat for our newfoundland for 11 days while we were away and we came home to a very happy dog. Would highly recommend her.

Great puppy training. Meryl and Mo are lovely and helpful. Naturally, you will get the most out of it by doing lots of practice in between. We also did a one to one private lesson with Linda before starting in group which was useful.

My cat loves coming here. The ladies give him lots of cuddles and every time he's been there he is a happy, happy cat. I made the mistake of putting him in another cattery once, looked nice, cost more, terrible owner and he was a nervous wreck when I went to pick him up, unlike at Barnlake. Cannot recommend Barnlake highly enough, neither can my little boy.

Local, well presented and has car parking. The kennels are well run, the ladies are well trained, my dog appears happy to be there and prices are reasonable. Al in all a very good service

With all the uncertainty lately they are very understanding when you have to unfortunately change your dates. Before all this they are a great place to board your pet. I have no worries when I go away.

Firstly, can I say that it was me that needed the training to know how to handle my rescue lurcher. Thought I'd found the ideal place but sadly felt let down by the lack of communication skills of the trainers. There's nothing worse than leaving messages or having someone say 'I'll phone you back' - and then don't ! So overall I felt let down. Eventually me and the lurcher decided to 'go it alone'. With the advice I did initially receive from the trainers and snippets I've picked up from other people we are slowly making headway. I'm giving 3 stars rather than 1 because on our first 3 visits the trainers were helpful and supportive. Would've been 5 if they'd continued.

Tigerlily loves it. Only used them about 4 times. Tigerlily is always relaxed when she comes home. She don't get upset when she goes there
