Dog Sitters in Prosperity Church Road, Charlotte

We had been taking our girls for day care to PetSuites on Prosperity for over a year and thought we could trust them to care for our pups when we were away for a week on holiday. Sadly, our trust has been lost over many aspects of this stay. First, although we had requested daily treats and daily dental bones be given to the girls, not a single item had been given. Next, the food I carefully measured out and bagged for each day for each girl wasn’t given as requested. The photos below show how much food was returned. I later learned the girls hadn’t been eating much, yet fresh food wasn’t being offered, and we hadn’t been notified. Finally, when I picked them up, I discovered the bed I had brought for them had been soiled. In fact, it was in a bin bag, and I only learned of its damage when I returned because they hadn’t given it to me upon checkout. They offered to wash it at the time, but I needed it that night. It wasn’t until I got it home that I could see why they were going to throw it away - it reeked of urine. Neither girl has had an accident in the house for over a year, so I wonder how long they had been in their room for them to need to use their bed as a bathroom. This is the same bed the girls had been sleeping on ALL week! I can’t believe nobody noticed. I have spoken to the manager about all of these issues. They are ordering a new bed for us, but we will never trust them again for the care and well-being of our pups. I would not recommend this facility for boarding.

We had a great experience! I had to leave my girl for a week to visit FL this past week. I couldn’t be happier with the care they give here! We got her the luxury suite which was a very nice option to have, especially for a more anxious pup like my own. It gave her a private room with a raised bed & its own camera. The play groups also have cameras so I could sign on whenever I wanted to ease my nerves about leaving her. She even got some one on one sessions with their trainer. It was a great break for her nerves and gave her some needed quiet time and attention. (All were super affordable add ons) They sent me videos of her running their agility course & having a blast! They also sent me report cards everyday letting me know how much she ate and how she was adjusting with pictures. They do seem to be under new management, I met the manager herself at check in! I would recommend this location to anyone, Maggie & I loved everyone there!

This is a great place for dog if you need a daycare or place to board your pet. The have cameras to view your pets and they give you a daily pawgress report.

My 2 dogs recently completed an 8 day stay. They came home happy and well adjusted. The next week when I brought them back for daycare they were excited to return. The staff is caring and my dogs love going there.

Would not recommend! Took my puppy to puppy preschool watched the cameras because they are supposed to come out at 10am I understand being a little behind but they did not let him out until 11:38 and then put him back up at 11:49. He came back out for a little while around 12.30 then my husband picks him up and is handed his whole bag of food that he was supposed to get for breakfast. They charge 40$ for this. INSANE. Watch the cameras.

I wasn’t going to say anything but I’m tired of being quiet for the convenience of others. I had been bringing my dog here since 2021 and it was all good vibes but somehow the staff has a new batch of girls who seem like “mean girls”. On October 4th I dropped my dog off for grooming around 8/9am. A few hours later. I got a call from the groomer expressing my dog had a “health concern”. Thinking he may have fell sick or something I questioned the health concern. I was adviced that my dog was “nicked” in the ear from the cutting blades and it wasn’t too bad and he was doing fine. I picked him up and noticed the nick was pretty deep, but my dog is pretty resilient. I didn’t take any close up photos because the knick was behind his fur. I let it go. Fast forward on December 3rd I called to make an appointment for December 4th for a full bath and groom with a haircut. I was very specific in my request. I wanted to give them a second chance for the “health concern”. I get to the location on December 4th and upon check in I had to provide his vaccinations. I had a receipt for his vaccines for the day prior and I didn’t want to share the details on how much I paid for services so I sent a copy from his Banfield record. They would not accept the copy I sent from online as it did not have the due dates. The girl called the Banfield hospital but was on hold. After about 5 minutes of waiting I advised I would just go pick up the vaccine record myself and bring it back (which I did). Once I returned I provided the documents and advised the girl at the front desk they could keep the documents, but since I didn’t want to share my original document that had my payment information, she gave a underhanded comment of “well this has your personal information on it”. I advised her she could shred it, she said they don’t have one (but yet they have an office adjacent to the front desk). Further, once I returned I was told that my appointment was for a groom and not a cut and that the girl who does grooming/cuts does not work on Wednesdays. Whomever the girl was checking me in, he aura was extremely off. The two (2) other girls also had of putting energy. My dog has anxiety and when he is around people he tends to become very overstimulated. I had him on his leash, but as others brought their dogs in, they would allow their dogs to get close to mine and my dog would get overstimulated. Definitely a disrespect to me and my dogs personal space. Now, this is making me overstimulated and stressed out. I was doing everything I could to contain his overstimulation by holding his leash tighter and putting my foot on it. I guess the girls thought I was being mean to my dog but I don’t wasn’t. My dog is 7 years old and takes anti anxiety medication. I was even more proactive by giving him a dose before his appointment. Confused and overstimulated, I rescheduled for another day. I called another location who advised that my appointment was for a groom and cut for December 3rd. I went back inside to confront the girl at the front desk who advised it was an actual groom but not a cut. At that point I wasn’t sure who I could trust due to the aura I felt. However, I decided to just cancel the appointment because I was extremely disappointed in the subtle rude aura given to me in addition to how my dog was treated as a “health concern” during his previous appointment in October. I am not sure why, and I don’t care to know why. I tried to give them benefit of the doubt from the cut my dog had from the previous groom/cut but this time I decided to trust my gut and no longer return to this location. The same girl that checked me in on December 3rd was the same girl that checked me in today. I will NOT be returning to this location. I was intentional in calling them girls because that’s exactly how they acted. I kept my cool because they wanted me to react, they don’t even deserve that type of attention from me. Be miserable on your own and to the groomer, please up your grooming/cutting game and stop playing with people’s dogs!

I'm giving 2 stars as a courtesy because my dog stayed there this spring and he came back alive. It looked nice there. I got my dog back with 3 dog bites. He went in looking cared for no bites or bruises. No one could say what happened other than it may have been stress. Seems to me he was in a dog fight. My young pup and I were glad to get the hell outta there. He had poop on his fur and all. I kid you not. Had to take him to get groomed that same day.. You can come to your own conclusions. No shananigans here. I kid you not. I'm posting know because I have a cooler head and a friend wanted a recommendation for places to send her dog.

The staff was very pleasant to work with. We got reports during our pets stay letting us know how they were doing. Had a question after our stay had ended and recieved a follow up call from the general manager to make sure my question had been addressed to my satisfaction.

Our dog has a blast here and really enjoyed playing with the other dogs. They took great care of her and we will definitely be back the way time we need dog boarding needs.

I don't leave home often so we don't often need pet sitting but when we do, we know we can count on Rachel's Pet Sitting services. I love the text updates with photos and the peace of mind knowing my fur babies are well cared for. I appreciate the professionalism and love that Rachel gives each of my three kitties! ❤️❤️❤️

Rachel & her team are the BEST! I am the most over protective dog mommy (probably more so than they know) and these guys took the best care of my girl while I had a short stint in NC. My dog is 16 and even had surgery during their time with her and they went above and beyond to ensure she was taken care of well and has a healthy recovery. We mostly had Brooklyn and I know my dog LOVED her and would look forward to their walks together. I really felt like they loved my dog through their pictures and reports. 🥹🥹🥹 highly highly recommend!!!!!

Rachel’s pet sitting has been a life saver for us and our 2 elderly dogs. As dogs get older, they have weird quirks and medicine to administer. Despite that, everyone who has come to check on them, has been so careful and sweet with our babies. One of our dogs has completely fallen in love with Brooklyn. We appreciate the updates every visit with pictures. Thank you so much!!

This is my go to for cat sitting! I have two, and anytime I’m out of town I can rest easy knowing they are in great hands, and the little things really take this business over the top. My dogs Belle and Udo seem to love it here! They go often for both daycare and boarding. The staff seems to be passionate about what they do and are very friendly. As most dog owners know dropping your pets off to be cared for by strangers can be nerve-racking but I haven’t had any concerns leaving them in the care of this facility so far and will continue to do business with them for as long as things keep going well! 😃

Such a happy place for both humans and doggies! We go to the Northlake location… and the staff there are so incredibly wonderful.. and how my dog acts when I drop her off, she jumps all over the staff in excitement when we walk in… you can tell she has so much fun going to daycare and the staff are so friendly with her. We’ve done both boarding and daycare.. both services are great. She gets plenty of outside playtime … the yard is fenced in well (my dog is a runner so that is important for me).. the yard is big, so lots of running space … there are “obstacles” for the dogs to play on .. you get a report card at the end of the day of pictures of all the friends she played with that day .. and if you have questions, the staff is happy to talk with you. I feel comfortable leaving her there.. bc I know she’s being well taken care of and my dog is so happy to go.

From the minute we walk in the door, we are greeted with a happy greeting and no matter who is working the desk area or who comes to take Romeo & Juliet outside, every single person is so friendly and so happy to see our pups. I feel like we are totally heard and understood when we communicate any concerns like Romeo (a 150 lb Bernese Mountain Dog) doesn't do well in the heat. Because of how we are treated when we walk in the door and how our pups are treated I feel like we are leaving them in good hands and they will be cared for and loved on while there. I feel like we can go and enjoy ourselves and our pups are in good hands. Thank you so much for your good people skills and pup skills! It makes all the difference when we have to leave them for a bit of time. They are less stressed and so are we! I also love that your large kennels are large enough that both our Bernese Mountain Dogs can be in the kennel together as they are used to being together all the time at home. They have enough space to spread out but they an be in the same space which is a lot less stressful than if Juliet, the younger pup were in a kennel by herself. Thank you for being so accommodating for all breeds and for dogs who live together.

We boarded our year old pup here and we are so happy that we did! It was our first time boarding her so we were a little nervous but the staff here was WONDERFUL ! We took our pup in about two weeks before our vacation and did a “Temperament Test” to see how she would interact with others and what group she would fit in best with! While she got to do that I toured the facility and got a good idea on what her routine would be and things of that nature! Drop off was super easy and we were able to have a family member pick her up and pay in advance so they wouldn’t have to deal with it! We are beyond happy with our experience and will definitely be back! Thank you for her “report cards” ! 🫶🏻

My 8 year old boxer loves One Lucky Pup! She’s not a big fan of a huge play pack but at OLP they have two large outdoor areas which makes it perfect to allow dogs like mine more one on one play time.

We take my Golden boy, Ryker, here whenever we have to go out of town. I can’t say enough good things about One Lucky Pup, the staff is super friendly and responsive whenever I call them. The only bad thing I can say about it is I get a little jealous when we walk and Ryker completely forgets we exist and just wants to rush back to play with the other doggos lol. During our last stay it was his birthday and they took these pictures with a happy birthday crown, which reminds me, the report cards with pictures are such a great addition we always look forward to getting the updates while we’re on vacation. They are so awesome. We’re so lucky to have OLP so close to home!

Not worth your money - took my dog in for a 1/2 day of daycare after being told they play the whole time (vs. in/out for full day) and that was not the case. Literally half the time your pet is there, they are in a kennel. I understand healthy breaks, but that is excessive. They are closed from 12-2 everyday too and I had asked if I could drop my pet off closer to 230 due to work meetings, and they said yes but did not explain that this would even further reduce my pets place time since regardless of when they arrive/how long they are there/etc. they come in at 430pm. I also would've picked my dog up earlier had I known this, if I wanted him crated, I would've done this at home for free, I brought and paid for him to being playing and exercising. Report card is a giant waste of time, couple random adjectives to describe your pet (mine said pet me!, sweet, sooo cute!) and 3 pictures of my dog taken all at the same time. The building itself is pretty old/outdated, no indoor play yards, and kennel space is loud/dark/cramped. Intake process/compatibility is not sufficient in my opinion - come up for 15 minutes, which is not a substantial amount of time for the dog to settle in at all or get acclimated and just being like yup good to go after minimal time in a very small controlled setting. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in their ability to vet other dogs. A lot of places keep them for a couple hours/half day or even a full day of daycare and typically that session is free or discounted as a trial run for all parties, not here. full price for misleading services!

One Lucky Pup is a nice place to take your dog if you need a place to board while on vacation. I went out of the country for a week and they took excellent care of my pup while I was away. The staff are super friendly and you can tell they really love dogs. They are grouped based on size and characteristics and send a daily report card and pictures to let you know how they are doing. He was clean and looked happy when I came to pick him up!

One lucky pup is the best! My labs love this place. They have been going here for years because of the friendly & safe staff, and nice facilities. I know they are safe and well cared for every time. They are accommodating to many different types of dogs and have different groups for different demeanors and size. Bonus is that I can get my grooming done there as well!

This place was ok. honestly don't ever seeing my self going here ever again. If you have dogs on the bigger side this may be the pace for you but anyone with a small dog who wants a cute cut, this is the last place you want to go. I have a malshi and specifically told the lady I did not want him to look like a naked mole rat. I could've went to pet co or pet smart if I wanted that. she specifically told me just an inch would be taken off so he's still fluffy like a teddy bear. As soon as she brought him out I immediately wanted to leave him right there. I was so angry all I could do was just pay and leave. If you are wanting a nice cut and not for your dog to just be shaved down to their skin. I would suggest going somewhere else. there was absolutely no reason for us to have a consultation if she was just going to shave him down. I hate to say this about my pup but I hate this cut! he looks sooo ugly.

I have only the best things to say about Andrew and his team! I hired Cornelius Pet Care to watch my cat when I went out of the country for 11 days. The service was truly so amazing. Andrew is so responsive before hand and you meet who will be watching you pet before. Every single person who stopped by was amazing, did everything I asked and I felt like they all went the extra mile (special shoutout to Abigail & Donna). My cat was in the best of hands and my anxiety of leaving my cat was kept at bay with the daily report cards and photos. This was such an easy and wonderful experience. I highly recommend Cornelius Pet Care for any of your pet sitting needs. Thank you so so much!!

I hired them to watch my pets while attending a family member’s funeral out of town. I gave them the dates twice. They claimed to have written them down. When I returned home I had found my animals starving and thirsty, and feces and pee everywhere. I had to throw away a $250 living room rug. My children and I cleaned for days. When I confronted them about the situation, they stated that I gave them the wrong dates. I assured them that I did not and that they made a mistake. They proceeded to tell me that because I am grieving the loss of a family member that I was hostile and upset and that they would take no responsibility for their actions. Thank goodness my pets survived. They also blocked me from messaging them about the incident after I asked for reimbursement. Safe yourself the trouble and hire someone else for your fur babies! I read your response to this btw. Everything you just stated is a lie. None of that is even close to true. The lengths you will go to avoid accountability is disturbing to say the least. I hope no one else ever has to experience something like this from your business ever again. I would like to let you know that while you blocked me to hide the messages between us, I did take screen shots of all of them. I will see you in small claims!

Absolutely recommend Andrew and Carol Ann. They are super reliable and wonderful with all three of my fur babies. I love the updates and pics they send, really puts me at ease whenever I go out of town. All three always have a great time when they come by to visit.

Very reliable - we have enjoyed engaging with everyone at Cornelius Pet Care. They are our go to for helping with our fur babies. You can always tell good care is given when your dogs can’t wait to see them or stay at their house.

Cornelius Pet Care LLC is an awesome company. I used them several times while I was out of town. They took great care of my dog Jax. I received pictures everyday of Jax. They even brought him snacks.

A neighbor recommended this sitter so I called and he had me go to his site and fill out a lengthy questionnaire, add CC info and setup a meet and greet. THEN he reads my lengthy bio and sees I have Rottweiler, calls and cancels the meeting. He could have asked the breed on the call and not wasted my time. If you fear Rottweilers you seem to be in the wrong business.

We've used Cornelius Pet Care for a year and a half now for our four fur babies (2 dogs and 2 cats). Whether we are a couple hours down the road or on another continent, we've felt really comfortable leaving our pets under their care. We get updates after each visit and we laugh at the pictures they take while on our trip. Their booking services are easy and convenient to use and they are always super flexible with scheduling to accommodate travel changes. Definitely recommend to friends in the area!

My husband and I are so happy to have found Cornelius Pet Care. We have 4 pups and they need to be walked daily/ let out while we are working. We trust Andrew and Carol Ann to come into our home and take care of our furbabies. They give our pups fresh water, change out potty pads and give our pups lots of attention/ treats. They even send daily photos of how the visit went. Our dogs love these daily visits. So thankful to have found Cornelius Pet Care. Wonderful company whose employees truly love animals.

We have used Cornelius Pet Care since Spring of 2023 and they have been so incredible to us AND our pups. They are always on time, flexible and they take the best care of our two dogs. Their app is so easy to use and they are always incredibly quick with communication and scheduling.

So very thankful this business exists near me! Their service is very streamlined; they were able to get me on the schedule and took great care of my cat with pretty short notice. My baby boy was happy, and I love that they sent pics each day! Highly recommend their service!

Pit Stop is the only service we trust leaving our dogs with. Jules and Beckett are incredible with our dogs, who are not always easy. Everyone who has watched our dogs has been highly experienced with caring for animals. The company as a whole does a wonderful job of communication during pet sitting stays. Heather is incredible! We have a dog and two cats and she takes such good care of them every time we are out of town! She sends us sweet photos of our babies when she visits and she makes sure they have everything they need. She even puts on music for the dog when there are fireworks or thunder. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Heather and her team of PHENOMENAL experts are exactly what I was looking for here in CLT. We have 3 crazy animals and they love Heather and her crew. They keep the house looking nice and lived in, communicate effectively, send tons of photos and updates, I've had ZERO issues since booking with them and more importantly, my fur children LOVE the sitters. You can absolutely know that they are in the best care. I truly appreciate this wonderful little company because this is more than just a job, they treat pets like their own.

Pit Stop Pet Services is the best service for pets. We have used them regularly for a couple years now for in home sitting, pet boarding, dog walks and cat visits. Heather is always reliable and we never hesitate to use them. We know we can fully trust the health and care of our babies with their care. You book visits on a convenient app and get gps updates and always the cutest photos to brighten my day when I am not home. Excellent service!

Heather and the PIt Stop team have been trusted caretakers of our Beagle/Basset mix for the last 5 plus years. Heather is extremely responsive, professional, and the dogs she takes care of are all well tended to and given the love they need when their owners are at work or on vacation. It gives us a lot of comfort that she takes such close personal care of the pets she is watching over and we greatly prefer using her on longer trips vs. putting our dog into a kennel. Would recommend Pit Stop to anyone who wants their pets to have intimate care while they are away. She treats our dog like she was one of her own!

Pit Stop Pet is the best! My Pomeranian is a shy, skittish little guy who does not take well to new people. Heather took the time to get him to warm up to her and now she sends me videos of how excited he is when she comes in the door! She is the only person I trust to leave him with overnight too. She is great about giving updates and sending pictures so I always feel at ease knowing he’s with her. Heather and her team are great for quick walks, daily visits, and overnight sitting. Great services with reasonable prices!

If you have the chance to use Heather and her crew at Pit Stop Pet Services, do it!! I am a travel nurse who's been on assignment in the Charlotte area for the past 6 months. Heather and Jules have faithfully accommodated my schedule and NEVER missed a walk! They are extremely reliable and they even came out during a hurricaine while I worked my 12 hour shift! My dog always looks so happy in the picture updates they send. You can tell they really care about their clientele! They communicate any concerns and have even medicated my guy for me when I needed them to. I can't thank these guys enough and I definitely can't recommend them enough!!

I boarded my dog Koda here over the weekend and she had a blast!!!! She made lots of friends and seeing her so happy in the pictures made me feel loads better knowing she wasn’t sad and alone. They even gave her an exit bath when I picked her up which was such a nice surprise!!! She smelled great and it was nice to not have to do it after a long day of traveling. They are also super fair in pricing and we will 100% be back for any boarding, day care, training or grooming needs!

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have used Ashley and Abbie regularly for walking my dogs as well as check in on my kitties. They are wonderful to work with. Very dependable- they have never missed an appointment. I know they have a busy schedule but will do their best to fit you in for a last minute visit. Recently, I was home recovering from surgery and I got a chance to observe my pets when they Abbie or Ashley arrive to take them for a walk…. My dogs get so excited to see them. You can tell that they genuinely care about animals. Also, they take the best photos of my fur babies!!

This place WAS great and has been fantastic! I was going there for almost two years now. It's 45 min for me and has been well worth it! Both my dogs have come a long way and can't wait to see how much further they progress. 😊 However, the owner has abandoned this to move onto something else and it is under new management that has been a dissapoinment and changed what they have said so I will no longer be back there and will find something else. Therefore, I no longer suggest this facility.

Dog School Charlotte provides excellent training for pup and human! We are very pleased with our progress. We were having significant problems with our rescue. Dog School Charlotte folks are professional, courteous, extremely responsive and always on time! We are looking forward to continuing our advanced obedience & group training with them! Highly recommend!!

Ashley and Aaron offer a warm and welcoming home away from home for your fur babies. The facility is kept clean and well organized and the dogs have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to run and play. I love that they send pupdates to the owners to let them know how their fur baby is doing. I have complete confidence recommending them to anyone!

Simply the best! We can’t recommend Animal People enough. Our pup spent two weeks with their team, and she had the best time. We got regular updates and photos throughout her stay. It’s very evident everyone on the Animal People team truly care for each pet in their care.

Laura took great overnight care of our dog Winston. She sent us daily pictures and updates and we knew that he was being well taken care of. My wife and have never used a pet sitter before. We are very protective of our pets and we have used family in the past but Laura made us feel secure and Winston seemed to enjoy her company. I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.

We have used Laura/Precious Paws Pet sitting numerous times over several years. She’s watched our two Havanese pups for long week ends and for 15+ days while we were traveling out of the country. Laura is quick to respond to emails and phone calls. We always enjoying getting daily (sometimes a few/day) updates, along with pictures. I’m never worried being away from our pups when Laura is caring for them. The dogs are well cared for and enjoy walks and play time with her.

Laura is another “mama” to my kitties. She has been with them since they were kittens. I’m not sure they even miss me when I am gone because of her! I highly and warmly recommend Precious Paws Pet Sitting. Laura took care of our 2 cats, Diego & Choupette, when we were traveling within the USA or even abroad. Most of the time it was for 2 weeks at least or 1 month. She did a great job for us and for the cats. Laura loves animals. She always tries to do her best for the pet's wellness. She is very reliable. She called us everytime something went wrong in the house or if she felt Diego or Choupette were not as good as they should. Laura is very kind, tactful and helpful.

We recently moved away from North Carolina and I will really miss our pet sitter Laura. Laura is so kind, caring and very knowledgeable.
