Mr Bob my 8 month old Labrador goes to Oh My Dog every week when I’m working. Juliet and Eugene have created an amazing facility for the dogs where they play and socialise. Juliet has helped me so much with advice along the way with Bob. I love the photos and videos I get sent of him during the day. He loves Jules he can’t wait to get in her van when he sees her 🖤🐾 I would highly recommend their business for your dog. I totally trust Bob in their care 💯

My 2 young rescues absolutely love it here! Juliet and Eugene obviously genuinely care for all the dogs and know them really well. I always feel like I'm leaving them in safe hands. They come back exhausted from adventures in the woods and playing on the equipment which is great! Highly recommended.

My puppy Teddy went to Oh My Dog for daycare while we were camping near by. Juliet was kind, accommodating and supportive throughout and Teddy had a lovely time. I highly recommend oh my dog, especially for those who aren't a fan of putting their pups in kennels!

Highly recommended Oh My Dog. Juliet and Eugene are lovely people who definitely care about the health and overall wellbeing of your dog when under their care. They have been very accommodating with our Great Dane who has been going now for several months and thoroughly enjoys it, and we are content knowing that she is well looked after. Juliet and Eugene provide updates, videos and photos during the day and are upfront and honest if any issues arise. Happy dog and owners 😊.

Juliet and Eugene have created something truly special with Oh My Dog. We have a sweet and very nervous rescue, plus we are first-time dog owners with our own confidence issues, none of which were judged or dismissed by these wonderful kind folk. Juliet made me and our girl Alice feel safe and welcome immediately, and went above and beyond to help us acclimate. We visited multiple times, increasing her time in the facility with each session based on observing her behaviour and body language. I learnt so much! While it is still unclear if Alice will ever be fully joyful to enter a roomful of dogs, her confidence and ours have been positively impacted by this kind of safe socialisation in ways that have changed our lives. Our trust in each other has grown, our bond is stronger and this has opened so many doors for her quality of life to increase. Thanks to her 'exposure therapy' with Juliet and all the other gorgeous pups at Oh My Dog, Alice has now made multiple new dog friends locally, and is enjoying off-lead time at a dog-friendly beach. I don't think these things could have happened without Oh My Dog, and Juliet and Eugene's wisdom, generosity and kindness.

Absolutely cracking service, friendly staff and a great environment for the dogs; our little sprocker spaniel Tilly had a fab day here playing with the other dogs and the staff. She was worn out! We received lots of updates and videos which helped settle our minds whilst our pup was “in nursery” lol thank you so much for fitting us in!

We are so fortunate to have found Juliet and Eugene at Oh My Dog, they are the most kind, caring, gentle and lovely humans and have an amazing passion for dogs which was apparent from the moment we met them. Our whippet has been spending one day a week with them for over a year and is always very happy to go in when we drop him off. He has such a good time enjoying lots of play, socialisation, an afternoon snooze and enjoys lovely woodland walks each day where he can let off some steam with zoomies. Juliet and Eugene are so knowledgable about dogs and their behaviour and personalities and we completely trust them with our dog who means the world to us! Juliet and Eugene are absolute superstars - we are so lucky to have met them. They are lifesavers and we feel so relieved to know that our dog is having the best care during the day! They have great knowledge and understanding with our dog, as well as how all the pack interact. They work hard to find amazing walks and our dog always seems relaxed/ exhausted at the end of the day! We can't recommend "Oh my Dog" enough. We were looking for a place where we could drop our dog off whilst we explored the area looking for our new house. We took our little Jack Russell to see Juliet and Eugene initially for half a day to see how she would get on. She had a great time interacting all the other dogs and we booked her in for several more sessions. Both Juliet and Eugene adore dogs and are patient and caring. It's a shame we are moving to a different area as we're going to find it hard to find a place as good as theirs. Thank you to both of you.

First time in ages putting our Henry in kennels, I did say he was a lady's dog, and a bit anxious, a bit unsure about men too, but apparently he became best of pals with Kenny.. So well looked after and played and walked at least 3 times a day. Can't thank you enough for your love and care of our big black fur baby.

Our go to kennels for when our cat needs to be looked after. New owners Kenny and Sabrina, both really friendly and helpful, and good price, £10 day if you provide your own food. Cats all have individual large pens with scrstchposts and other items, with heated sleeping compartment and music is played during the day to help keep them chilled!!

Wow what can I say, I was so so nervous to put milson in the kennels for the first time as he’s a rescue dog and very anxious especially towards men. But serina and kenny really are fantastic at what they do! I couldn’t recommend this place enough.. thank you both for keeping my fluffy pooch safe and happy 🫶🏻 p.s he can’t wait to his next holiday!

I was a little worried about leaving my dog at the kennels she's never been before, but I didn't need too. When I picked her up the children were telling me how quickly she runs after the ball and super fast. Telling me she's been happy and has been very good all week. Which made it feel like home from home. Only one downfall was that they were too busy when I booked her in for me to look around. Will definitely use it again

My dog Barney stayed at Blackdown over the Christmas Period. Really great service and will definitely use you again in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of him. Highly recommended!

A lovely family run kennels. It was clear just how much Ken cared about my treasured dog. When I picked my labrador up it was clear he was a happy dog and also very clean too. Thank you Blackdown Ring- we look forward to booking again.

New couple have taken over the place and, which only being there 3 months, have made a massive impact on how the place is perceived. Unbelievably poor experience, would recommend turning and running for the hills. I called ahead on the day that I was due to drop my lab off at the kennels for the weekend and asked whether when I dropped her off, I could see where she would be staying/ sleeping which is a very reasonable thing to ask (and I think most owners would want to see this too), the owners responded rudely saying that they were too busy, that no staff wanted to take customers on tours, and that last time they let someone in they took up way too much of their time. I said that I fully appreciated how busy they were and promised to take up 5 mins of their time at the most to just see the kennels make sure I’m happy leaving my dog there and leave. After about 5 mins of back and forth on the phone I was told that I should find somewhere else to take my dog. I found it completely astounding that they find it so unreasonable that owners would like to see where their pets will be staying and think it’s a massive red flag that the condition of the kennels are very bad, or that there’s something dodgy going on there. Would certainly recommend that people look elsewhere. Will also be reporting to the local authority that inspections should be done.

I wanted to board my cats here and made enquiries, and I was delighted to hear they had availability. However, when I requested (as per their website) an appointment to view the facilities, I was advised that this was not possible as they were too busy at this time of year to show anyone the cattery. I was told that if I was booking my cats in, I would need to hand them over at the gate and would collect them at the gate upon collection. I did query this because as a pet owner, I want to see who and where I am entrusting them. I was surprised that this was considered an unreasonable request. I therefore can not review the cattery on its facilities, as I haven't been permitted to see them and the website itself shows no photos of the cattery. My review is based on the facts presented. I won't be booking my cats into premises that I haven't checked for suitability.

Refused to allow us to see the cattery premises. Something seriously dodgy going on here. We thought we would be shown around on arrival but was met at the gate. We had to leave them because too late to find somewhere else but worried all week about how my cats were. On the way to home to collect them we phoned ahead & asked to see where they had stayed. Was refused & again we were just met at the gate. Will never use these people again.

Taras has been boarding at Byrer Down for many years. This is a home from home for him. He's a 10 year old Samoyed and he always comes back to me Happy, clean and well. Great find. I recommend it to others. Good people who love animals 🐶💜 …

Been using Byter down kennels for a few years. Can honestly say I wouldn't be happier leaving our dog Hugo anywhere else. Patrick and his wife are always so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They care for the dogs with so much love and respect. Our dog, as happy as he is to come home never looks unkept or unhappy. Would definitely recommend Byter down. Thank you for everything.

Patrick and Clare have taken really good care of our dog Pip. I got to see where she was staying, good, clean and secure area with walking pens. She looks great on collection. Just want to say a big thank you and we will be undoubtedly booking with you again in the future.

So nice to see all the good reviews of Byter Downe, and each of them well deserved. We have used the Cooper’s for years and my wife’s father before us. Patrick and Clare have taken great care of each of our dogs and everyone of them always were happy to see them and the kennels. Can’t give them higher praise, well done to you all.

Very friendly, accommodating and well priced. They remember my dogs name and his character. It feels like leaving him with friends, when we drop him off he's keen to go and when we pick him up he's less keen to come home.

Our two dogs have been to Byter Down over the past few years and they always go there excited and looking well and happy on collection. We have a Vizsla and she is prone to dropping weight but never does during her stay here. Even after two weeks. Highly recommend ⭐️

My late dog Bilbo always came to this kennels when we had to go away for a weekend or few days. Sadly he died 4 years ago but this kennels was his favourite Bilbo used to run to the lady when we dropped him of. We will use this kennels again when we are up that way with our other little dog. After viewing kennels we booked our Border Collie Meg in and after picking her up today after just over 2 weeks stay we were very happy to see her fit and healthy and obviously well cared for. Will definitely book again if we need to. Thanks for looking after her

I have complete trust in Patrick and Clare. They run the kennels in a friendly and very professional manner. The dogs are always happy, never bored and very well cared for. Super kennels, always clean, great atmosphere and always time to chat! I thoroughly recommend Byter Down Kennels for any type of dog.
